  1. No, everything is piggybacking off the default structure, including the fixture rules which you can't actually get at without rebuilding (AFAIK)
  2. Now I'm thinking to put the new Ceuta team and UD Melilla into the African Champions League prelims, from the Spanish cities on the Moroccan coast in the 3rd and 4th tier... Maybe throw in some of the Canary Islands teams like CD Tenerife. Could set it so that if they qualify for Europe, they won't play in CAF. The only problem is, the in-game CAF Champions League starts with a perfect 64 teams and drops down to 16 for the group stage, so we're necessarily either adding a stage or cutting other qualified teams. I'll sleep on this and think some more
  3. Cleaning up some bugs and have a more playable version up now, could still use a fresh pair of eyes to check things out. The rules make sense if you think about it: The way Europe crowns its own champion isn't as clean as the other confederations but still works for now. This separate structure in the background also means Europe has a separate prize pool - we do want teams like Saprissa and Hekari United to have access to life-changing sums here, but reasonable amounts, not the tens of millions that Bayern and Real pull in from the CL every year. The final is at the "host" stadium, which is still the same semi-random format the default Club World Cup uses.
  4. Ahhh OK, guessing that's more down to the mod-maker not adding a summer transfer window, but yeah it can arise if your start date (likely June or July) is after that country has already had all their transfer windows
  5. Don't most of those leagues start a year early, i.e. MLS started in the 2023 season in FM23? So that option was always perfect, you don't want them adding to their roster in early 2023 when their squad is already perfectly calibrated for all the roster rules/salary cap/etc. Same with other calendar-year leagues, if they started in March 2023 in FM2023 we don't want them adding to a roster that's already padded with offseason arrivals. Unless I'm misreading what you're saying
  6. I can see SI are promoting the new formats in FM24 for the Club World Cup and North America (the only place where releasing licensed content the way that it's been announced in real life is worth patting themselves on the back over). That's great news. I'm hoping someone is lurking here and stealing my code, lol, otherwise I can unequivocally state my stuff will run smoother and more bug-free than their first attempts at it. I usually wait until the second or third patch to really get going anyway
  7. It's the 36 teams in the UEFA CL League Stage, plus the last 16 in the other big 4 continents, plus the last 4 in Oceania (104 in total). Still working on getting the results to translate to UEFA like they do everywhere else, any suggestions there are appreciated. Might need to add a new stage to the UEFA CL. I *think* that Europe will even then start adjusting its coefficient based on those group results (not the knockouts unless I work those in too).
  8. Starting in 2024, the new UEFA Champions League group phase doesn't generate any fixtures - a 104-team FIFA Champions League is played instead in the classic CL group format, on the same matchdays (so no extra fixtures). For the game. Most of the continents follow a similar pattern, e.g. the Copa Libertadores gets to 16 teams as usual and then a regional champion is decided via FCL group stage results: Do not run with any other Champions League or Club World Cup files. This is a wholesale replacement of the global structure into one interconnected system. For the world. This shouldn't disturb UEFA or AFC coefficients as such, and the imported results from the FWC might even count (needs a bit more testing). Also adds Wellington Phoenix to O-League and Russian clubs to AFC to make sure every professional club has a shot at the prize money on offer. DOWNLOAD (BETA) (backup) Still need to work on awards and test everything over time, any help is appreciated.
  9. OP updated with some more quick links for the various DBs, some of which are scattered throughout the thread...
  10. I figured Pacific FC vs HFX Wanderers was up there (or the Distance Derby in the A-League), but that blows it out of the water. Normally it's impossible for two teams from the same country to play in the AFC Champions League final as its East vs. West, but you could have those two in the final with the recent changes to my ACL file
  11. Yeah I just saw that the lower tiers were reorganized this season, and then they're planning to change them AGAIN in 2025 as some will go to a calendar-year season instead of Fall-Spring. Maybe too much of a challenge but Khabarovsk, not far away just in the interior of the Russian Far East, have a team in the second tier (Russian First League). Sounds like a fun project
  12. So cool seeing Krasnoyarsk as one of the three Russian qualifiers in the ACL file and ending up in the East preliminaries, while Zenit and Spartak (or whoever else) play in the West. Plus I didn't realize the Russian third tier had teams in Vladivostok and Sakhalin (!) of all places. Shouldn't be too much work in the editor to activate it: Credit sned77 on Reddit Any appetite for a file where the O-League winner gets a wild-card spot in the AFC Champions League? I've never been one for the occasionally-proposed merger, but it does sort of fit with the idea of OFC as a glorified subconfederation to AFC
  13. In the meantime, the OFC final stage is rotated around, so the Wellington file has a small chance that in some years this can take place at Aloha Stadium or the Rapa Nui stadium that's in the game. Oceanian solidarity ftw
  14. The North American clubs' Copa Libertadores fixtures show up fine, which is nice when you're looking at the schedule for teams in CanPL, Mexico, and MLS. Odd that these ones seem hard-coded though. With Russia I figured it was because of the sanctions, but I guess not
  15. Hawaii in USL + Hawaiian second nation (required: GRAPHICS) | O-League Expands to Hawaii and Wellington Weirdly, Hawaii's OCL fixtures don't show up on their own fixture list and their opponents' fixture list has, like, a blank entry. They're still played though. Same thing was happening with Russian clubs in ACL so I think it might be a visual glitch resulting from teams not being in "nation" or "based nation" of that continental tourney? Their "continental cup nation" is in Oceania now at least. I'd consider also changing their "based nation" to Hawaii, just not sure if it will throw off any domestic/foreign roster rules in a custom US db.
  16. Briefly thought about adding teams who haven't already qualified for the AFC tournaments already from places like Northern Marianas, Guam, Australia, and possibly even Taiwan and ASEAN nations. Probably not worth it, but you reminded me of CF Rapa Nui aka Easter Island... the game has them as extinct, possibly just to use as a history entry somewhere, but there's no reason to believe they wouldn't be active again in the future. Might have to make them un-extinct, stock with them with a few Chilean lower-league players and put them into an alternate version of the O-League
  17. I made one yesterday that just changes San Diego Loyal (leaving USL next year in real life anyway) into Team Hawaii, and a quick graphics pack using the old logos from Team Hawaii's NASL run. Can run alongside any US nation rules. Also took Wallis and Futuna, changed their few cities and clubs to France, and made it Hawaii for a second nationality/"continental cup nation" for the new team (don't want them getting into the CCL if they somehow win the US Open Cup). Was working on a companion file to put them into the O-League too, but ran into some hurdles. Will give it another go tonight (maybe bump one of the New Caledonia teams to the prelims) and upload the Same Diego --> Team Hawaii one
  18. Yeah, lots of parallels with MLS. Plus if you're going to charge the new A-League teams $20mil to get in, I doubt they'll be too happy when you come back in 2 years and tell them they can be relegated and replaced by Sydney Marconi or whoever (no disrespect to Sydney Marconi mind you) who haven't paid any expansion fees
  19. Oh yeah, I was just reading about it after you posted. I can see the Auckland City chairman is involved so assumed it would be them making the jump but everyone is so tight-lipped. Could be a new brand entirely, if it actually happens
  20. Wow, Auckland A-League would be cool. I noticed while researching that aside from some talk in 2008 or so there really hasn't been any discussion of the Phoenix playing in the O-League, doesn't seem like there's much appetite to divert their season with these trips to the South Pacific to play a bunch of part-timers. But if there were 2 Kiwi A-League Men teams - one of them having a history in the Club World Cup already - then it might change things
  21. Which link? Gonna need some more detail. I just checked the Steam and Mediafire links and they're both the correct file? If you open it in the pre-game editor it will say "Asia" and "Asian Champions League"
  22. @PaMi 7 gosh the default A-League scheduling is a mess isn't it? Bunched up fixtures in January and then like 2 games in April. Can't believe some of the stuff they release as supposedly licensed content. I might have a go at a custom file myself, what other crazy ideas have you incorporated into the Aussie league structure?
  23. Weird. The default OFC uses "get qualified teams for comp" and I think the NZ teams have the seeding of either 0 or 1 (which brings them straight into the group stage). So when you set the qualifiers give them one of those seedings and it should take over from there. It's odd because if it was "get best teams in division" it would at least default to the top 2 but in your situation with no qualification rules anywhere it's just going crazy, lol. Is the second tier set to the proper level? On both the competition itself and in the advanced rules? Wonder if that was because it thought that was the top level somehow, or maybe just a more innocuous glitch
