  1. FYI @kandersson I realized the OCL was a bit smaller IRL than in-game, with just single-leg knockouts. It's not easy to move the dates around for some reason but I made a new version that's a bit easier on Phoenix's scheduling, with only 6 games to win the O-League instead of 8 in the previous version: Download link on the first page is updated.
  2. The brilliantly named SV Robinhood pushing for a CCC place along the first part of that route:
  3. I altered my CWC file so that if a North American team somehow wins both the CCL and Libertadores, the Libertadores runner-up will go instead (hopefully not another North American team!). I haven't seen that happen yet but I've seen the Sudamericana last 4 be all North American
  4. For what it's worth. This has bugged me a few times but seems to arise in ANOTHER stage than mentioned, and as best I can tell is usually a result of an issue with groups... i.e., having multiple "individual group rules" sharing the same group index (0 and 0 instead of 0 and 1, say), or having too many or too few "number of groups" set under "group settings", which can arise if you're messing with a format but forget to make all the necessary changes
  5. None of that should break my stuff unless they made some wild changes to the structures in Canada, my CCL should still pull the right teams. And you've got it, the Libertadores file has the CCL last 16 go straight in. The last 16 qualify the same way as the realistic file, so the Caribbean champion etc.
  6. That's great news. In the Libertadores file, they go straight into that group stage too. Nice to see the likes of Defence Force bringing the likes of Flamengo and Boca to the Caribbean. Also saw a test where Forge FC scraped past NYRB in the CCL first round so got a place in the Libertadores, cool to see them juggling the CanPL with midweek trips to South America
  7. Bigger is better, it's just got me thinking that a shorter tournament is easier to squeeze into Wellington's calendar. The problem is the default is 16 teams, made up of 14 qualifiers plus two from the preliminary round (14+2). My version makes it 14+1+1 with the extra spot being Wellington. The IRL format takes those 14 qualifiers and makes them play a playoff against the other qualifier from their country (so NZ vs NZ) to reduce to 7 teams, and are then joined by the preliminary stage winner. So 7+1. As you can see, no room for the Phoenix, I'll have to think of a way to shunt them into a pre-qualifier too or something like that
  8. I believe the O-League is bigger in the game than real life (16 teams in the groups instead of 8), but they've gone with the approach that invited teams actually participate each time (like my Caribbean Club Shield, in real life it's much smaller but in my world every invited nation is sending a representative). If anything I thought about making it even bigger by converting the prelims to an 8-team knockout and adding the champions from missing countries like Kiribati and Wallis+Futuna EDIT: Scratch that, IRL they reduced it from 16 teams to 8 with each country having a preliminary playoff. Easy enough to set up in the editor, but it doesn't leave a spot for Wellington Phoenix may do an alternate version with the real format, just shortens the tournament slighltly
  9. CONCACAF teams in the Copa Libertadores has been rumoured a couple of times recently, but looks unlikely. This imagines if it went ahead in 2024, with the CCL last 16 joining an expanded Libertadores group stage. DOWNLOAD Mirror: 1 | 2 | 3 (en español) 2024 version Use only this OR the CONCACAF club redux for FM23! The CCL last 16 isn't played and the champion is crowned using results from the Libertadores groups instead: Let me know if you spot anything off. Top 4 runners-up go through, and remaining 8 runners-up drop down to the Copa Sudamericana. Use this OR my CONCACAF club fix. Otherwise, this will be compatible with my various continental files, although I'd pick one from this or my Copa Interamericana, which does essentially the same thing on a much smaller scale (and seems to be the IRL compromise for now). I'd also recommend using my Club World Cup file as the default one might have trouble accounting for North American teams winning both continental tournaments. NOW I can be done
  10. OFC Champions League is in the game my friend. Odd, I'm looking at the Viareggio now and it's running fine, guess you've got something that touches U-19s somewhere and it makes the whole thing crash. Lusophone Games haven't been played in years IRL, Med Games are U17 now I think? Micronesian Games involve islands like Yap and Pohnpei so is more suited a larger project (perhaps using extinct nationalities for the islands) ASEAN I like, but I think it was cancelled again this year, not promising. Maybe suited to a fantasy file. Can see a couple more in your list that I've got in my files already. Load them up and take a look
  11. THIS IS FOR FM23 FM24 has mostly fixed CONCACAF, I'll work on expanding it to tournaments like the Caribbean Club Shield after more official patches Carrying on from this thread, but this probably deserves its own. I think I've fixed CONCACAF's continental tournament, SI had been persisting with a format that was announced in 2022 but cancelled and never actually played. They didn't update it in any of the patches since the change, though, meaning MLS teams still had to wait until the next fall to play a (non-existent) group stage before knockouts the following spring. CONCACAF CLUB FIX (backup) (Libertadores file is below) Compatible with: Club World Cup fix | Russian teams in ACL | Wellington Phoenix in O-League Could use a bit more testing but the qualifiers look right each year: Next step is to combine this with my Copa Libertadores file so the last 16 in CONCACAF go into the Libertadores group stage. TMC MEGAPACK
  12. Who's Tredegar U-19s? Let me guess, Wales hosted that year and you're running a custom Wales DB? Sounds like the same thing as that Morocco glitch, i.e. the mod-maker has somehow got a reserve/U-19 team showing up as "best team from division". You're right, from December 2024 the European team gets a bye to the final of the 7-team version, it's addressed in the links I posted above. They haven't given us much detail on the new format so I've opted to include the host as well, which means if a European country hosts then it can be an all-European final. Any intercontinental cups I'm missing? Some inter-island tourney in the CFU or OFC or something maybe? I can see the Kagame Inter-Clubs Cup hasn't been played in a while and was cancelled again this year
  13. Adding the Ligue Antilles so that clubs from Martinique, French Guiana, Guadeloupe and St. Martin get even more games. Once this is stable I'll make a new version of the Libertadores file so the 16 CONCACAF teams are the same as the last 16 we have now, then I'll likely start a new thread for all this continental fun
  14. Leaning towards no. I've spent all year editing, need to play some will see how the new game (and editor) look
  15. I'm not familiar with his file, that's not really anything for me to worry about like I said, anything that touches those tournaments could cause issues
  16. Is that to do with "required teams" under the nation itself in nation rules? I'm guessing you've got the Youth League set to min/max 16 there, either change it to 28 or put the two child competitions there instead and give them min/max 14
  17. Oh man, I think I got it. After about 1000 tries of this: Leagues Cup, Caribbean, and Central American winners + MLS Cup winners and Mexican champion with best regular season-record got the bye in 2023. The rest of the qualifiers look correct. Don't have time to run a longer test rn but will give it a shot later. That mediafire link is updated again, if it looks solid year-on-year we can take the "beta" tag off
  18. If you're running another OFC or AFC Champions League file, I doubt it will work with these. I didn't, like, go in and change those clubs to be part of the new continent or anything (other than changing Wellington's continental cup nation), I just went in and changed the competition structure to squeeze them in. The other files you're talking about probably edit that too. You don't need any active leagues from any of the affected countries running, no. You mean like running the A-League and/or a custom New Zealand file? Not necessary
  19. I'm guessing they're an "exclusion" in the A-League/Australia Cup rules for continental qualifying, but they're not hard-coded to be ineligible for OFC other than there's no mechanism for them to enter. I just shunted them into the list of qualified teams and the game took over the rest. As you can see from the screenshot of their fixtures above, I think it would work best if we forced the A-League to reschedule some of Phoenix's missed games (due to clashes with the O-League) in April to Tuesday/Wednesday. Then they wouldn't fall so far behind and have to play those 3 games in 5 days to catch up. Shouldn't be too hard to set up, are you running a custom Aussie league file?
  20. Yeah, there's some weirdness going on there that I need to fix. For Mexico's top seed I think I've got it going to whichever of the Apertura/Clausura winner had the highest regular season record, as intended (unless they also get the bye via winning the Leagues Cup in which case the other stage winner gets it, or if the same team wins all three, then next best team in the table). I *think* I've got Caribbean and Central American qualifying now, it's just the seedings and who ends up in that second round that's throwing me off. How's the international scene look? Everything being played? EDIT: OK, link updated with the latest version... as far as I can tell it's just the round seeding that's throwing me off. Usually the Leagues Cup and Mexican winners get their byes to the second round but I can't get the other 3 (MLS, Caribbean, and Central American champs) to get their bye like they should anymore. Either there's something going on with the qualifying in the background or I've just hit a brick wall from looking at it too much
  21. Thanks!! Starts in 2024 IIRC. I just made the preliminary stage produce 1 qualifier instead of 2, freeing up a space for Phoenix. Use it with one of my Club World Cup files (32-team one is good) for that qualifying to work best. I think the default versions have a hard time with an "Asian" team coming from Oceania
  22. Cheers. Never too much!! Haha just difficult to keep tabs on what's going wrong I guess. I loaded a file from a while ago and the Gold Cup was running fine but I'll run a long-term test with all my current files now and make sure. I'm always surprised at how fast it goes with very few DBs and a small database
  23. Jesus, lol, I'll double-check but my Gold Cup runs fine, I'm guessing it's something from the hundreds of other DBs you've got there. If you don't mind scanning the simmed game - we're looking for any bugs with the new CCL format I've created here
  24. That's normal for Nations League, default game has predicted they'll only play in those years where WCQ isn't happening so I've kept that. Is that with my Gold Cup/Copa America file and nothing else that touches the Gold Cup or CONCACAF Nations League? I can see you're running a history file too, maybe another North American international file slipped in there? Gold Cup seems to run on schedule including in 2027, 2031 etc on mine Haven't touched CONCACAF U17. If you're running the file from a few posts back the main thing we want to test here is the CONCACAF club comp entrants, making sure the Caribbean and Central American tournaments/MLS/MX are sending the right teams
  25. Cheers. Working on making Central American qualifying so just the league winners are guaranteed, and the extra spots are dependent on division reputation (should be close if not identical to the real-life distribution this year). A long-term game increasing the league rep somewhere like Belize or Nicaragua will mean more spots - basically a competition coefficient system without touching (and breaking) that stuff. I'd love to have some kind of CONCACAF Club Ranking over several years, used for seedings like in real life, maybe a hidden stage somewhere that updates with results every year. Probably too much work
