2026/27 Season - Close but Far

I am happy with the league campaign, but the month of February was a real worry, losing my two starting centre backs done me in

image.png.27852c8206371564eff8ef3cdd0591f8.png

Which due to the teams above continuing to win seen me out of the playoff race...  Happy with the finish for my first season in League 2 though...

2045/46 - Season 25

Premier League - 14th

Season Summary

We did it! We survived! it looked for a long time like we wouldn't as well

League - So, saturday 5th August was a momentous day for Hitchin Town. First competitive match in our brand new stadium and our first match in the Premier league. We were playing Burnley, were magnificent, played them off the park and won easily 3-0. Happy days! Our next league win didn't come until 25th November! Then we had a run of 7 games where we lost 6 and won 1. We were adrift in the bottom 3, 8 points from safety with only Burnley below us.

But the new year saw us start scraping some draws and getting some unlikely wins. 5-1 away at Newcastle, 3-0 away at West Ham. February and March saw us only lose 1 in 6 and the final game of March, a storming 5-4 win away at Sheffield United, saw the league table like this:-

7gameslefttoplay.JPG.d0b3563a3f8d3660f8e92ec8b76610ad.JPG

I had been resigned to relegation at christmas but suddenly, here we were with our head above water and our fate in our own hands! We promptly lost our next two but then got a good win away at Brighton. Then we lost to Arsenal. But we were still out of the relegation spots. Worryingly though, all the teams around us were playing each other so there were plenty of points to be won and lost down there.

46threegamesleft.JPG.d7018e24955045cce83f96635c442bd7.JPG

Those last 3 games saw us playing WBA, the in form team,  title chasing Man U away and a home game against Leicester on the final day. I knew we had to get results in those final 2 home games. The WBA game saw us battle to a 1-1 draw. Every point being precious, I was happy to take it.

So, to Old Trafford we went.....

46game37.JPG.aae2c8783c2fe0b71dbbaa85d9ab2157.JPG

I couldn't believe it! We FM'd them as well! And results around us meant that we were guaranteed survival. We did it, by winning at Old Trafford! We then went and beat Leicester on the final day for good measure!

FA Cup - a foruth round exit to the eventual league champions Wolves, who beat us 4-3 at home

Players

So, I was guilty before christmas of ejecting the old guard and playing promising youngsters, who on paper were better already. But, they lacked experience and were poor. To be fair, the old guard were also poor, but I figured at christmas that experience > potential. Turns out I was right. I think a few of those yougnsters might have to go on loan next season. they're too good for U23 football but lack the experience I need. So the best XI

46bestXI.JPG.5ffaf066ac82c4bbb259c4f0a7f9200f.JPG

Kenny Skipp 42E - the obvious breakout star and one of only two youngsters to cement their spot in the first team. Was once heralded as the 'new Michael Owen', which he really isn't, but he performed really well and can hopefully push on next season

Abdoul Boga 43B - my most promising youngster by a long shot, and hopefully my first ever wonderkid! he shows all the signs, if not the description yet. Improving with leaps and bounds

Chrsitopher Agyemang 36A - It's a sad day, but he's just not premier league quality. But he can at least say he scored for us in the top 5 divisions! He'll be a handy squad player/impact sub though so I'll keep him around but there's no room for sentiment in this challenge! saying that, I did play him far too much this season, just to see if the old magic could spark. It didn't really.

Claudio Barcham_Driver 40A - for our best striker this was a hugel disappointing season. In his first 26 games he only scored 6 and was generally rubbish. In the last chance saloon, next season better be better!

Youth

A good midielder was promised, which was nice, as it's the area I'm shortest

46youthpreview.JPG.f4c202f64f28185675ff181a00a2ce48.JPG

But the intake itself was hugely disappointing

46youthintake.JPG.aa9bb2b16c70e5cefdcbcc53ca95ba82.JPG

A lot of complete useless rubbish. I signed about 5, fully expect all but one to disappear without trace. Bolt? cool name, but he'll need a lot of work to make it:-

Finances and Upgrades

Ha ha, the money in the premier league is just insane. you get 88m just for being in it! so we really don't have any financial worries any more. I spent a load as well. Look!

46youthfacilities2.JPG.a46d4e809c049c45741244efd554fa7e.JPG46trsiningfacilities.JPG.20a0deaf6b41f6c276f587b4e1c35695.JPG

Plus, the board announced extension to the new stadium already!

46stadiumexpansion.JPG.0b6eee88a63d0a7ec34f4794bbda448f.JPG

Which is fine and all but I cannot beleive where they've made us play while its being developed. I am going to cry every home game for the next season... I'd have been happier playing in Shrek's swamp!

Oh, and we made it to Youth level 1! Top youth intakes coming!!!

Goal of the Season

A rocket from our left back Kenny Seymour 41C, assis from Kenny Skipp 42E

libbyshuss I feel you buddy, I've made similar calls myself - however, it will be for 'the greater good'; sacrifice the best possible current season for a higher ceiling of potential achievement in future seasons.

Good job staying up!

yeah, that's the constant battle with this challenge. It can be a really tricky balancing act sometimes

it is agreed.    I try not to sell more than one team leader per season and after season 4  I have not sold more than 4 first 11 players. try to do 3...but sometimes its imposible.

what do you guys do?

It is important to maintain older players with positive mentalities who may have inferior ability. I persisted with an inadequate winger as a team leader for three years to the initial detriment of my team performances. However, he has helped shape a squad that is now full of either Resolute or Driven personalities. This is certainly paying dividends now, as training performances are receiving far higher ratings and we are showing far greater resilience when falling behind.

What a jip. Still, that is MEGA money. I will be able to upgrade my youth facilities at least twice for the first time! And, to be fair, I have a superior current talent at his peak who can easily play there instead; cold this be the year I finally get the best out of Iannou? Time to retrain as WidePlaymaker.

On a positive note, at least it happened with 4 pre - season games to go.

hmm interesting

I'm no expert, as you know takes me years to complete the challenge

However, I have found recently that once my players hit 30/31, they just become bang average!

Really difficult to sell/release some of the players after they have been stalwarts for you for 14/15 years but majority of the time, once they hit 30/31 they are done!

@PaddersI did a playthrough where I only used players over the age of 32! It was a challenge but if the players are good enough (in relative terms) and the tactic allows slower players to excel, then they can thrive into their late thirties. Again though, if any of my team leaders had or have a dodgy personality, I ship them at the first opportunity!

i try to hold on to mine as long as possible tbh, especially if they have strong personalities. They end up being my subs - I hate using youth prospects as subs. Dunno why!

But I think it definitely makes a difference having team leaders who are professional/driven etc.

here are mine atm:-

Barcham-Driver is my best striker, which is a little annoying, but it means if I have to sell him I won't be too upset.

Agyemang can't get near the first team at the minute but I'm keeping him just for that personality!

Yeah good point. My tactics do tend to be high press, high tempo so my 30+ players will naturally struggle

I can see the appeal, that is very much how I would set-up for a quick save. With the youth challenge, until the entire youth set - up upgrades, Pace and Acceleration are a precious commodity. As such, I find myself building tactics that already lean towards a more patient style and should suit players as they age. Here is what I am going to deploy for the forthcoming season:

20210817201730_1.jpg.dadb2d6f459cd274c20f7896431e40cc.jpg

Based on pre - season, things are looking promising.

20210817201907_1.jpg.5388222917ae77705fa6f01996cd2a35.jpg

The real test will be how I fare against my 'new' rivals: Aris, Panathinaikos and AEK, whom I am playing in my first game. Come on!!

Updated: 28.08.2033.

And this is how you start the season!!!

Updated: 03.10.2033: Things are looking good. 2 x rival matches AEK and Panathinaikos, 2 x narrow victories:

Shaoxing Keqiao

Season 5

Squad | Transfers | Finances

League: A promising first season in the Super League as we comfortably survived relegation and finished around mid-table. Was chopping and changing tactics all season trying to find the right fit. Found joy with a 4-1-3-2 with 3 CM's and pulled of some decent results.

8fkZUd2.png

Cup:  Defeat in our first game in the cup, to opposition in the First Division as well.

3kVqnLy.png

NewGens:

Huang Tingfeng 01b: Another goal scoring season as he picked up the Top Goalscorer Award for the division, with the next nearest being 4 goals behind him.

Wei Mingtian 03d: Played well paired up top with Tingfeng, chipping in with 11 goals and 7 assists. Also had the highest average rating across the season.

Huang Yuming 02e: Another good season for us, stepped up into CM a few times due to injuries. Has also picked up 2 more caps for China - totalling 3 so far.

Youth Intake:

Bi Shihao 05a: Will have to change my formation for next season to try and fit this guy into the team.

sBCSo7E.png

Jiang Xiangbin 05c: Have 2 solid CB's at the moment so will attempt to retrain him as a RB to push my current starter as he's not far off from him.

af6NGec.png

Wei Chenglong 05b: Was running thin on the ST department so is a welcome sight, just a shame about his finishing may retrain him into a winger/wide target man.

RkhcWCM.png

Summary:

Another Mid-Table performance is what I'm hoping for as our squad is still very young. Only retained on of the original players there and he is the oldest player at 25. The rest will all still be under 21 next season. Another season where we lost a couple of players who would have been in and around the squad but we received decent money for them and improved the Facilities some more.

Nuneaton 2029/30 Season

Played this season in two parts as I got busy. The season went about as expected. The defense held up while the attack suffered. Ben Molloy took over the striker role from Koo Keun-Ho and played well. We have a lot of talent coming up next season with strengthening in the wide positions (much needed). The only position that lacks quality in depth is the full back positions, particularly on the right side. We comfortably avoided relegation finishing 11th. Arsenal almost had an invincible season under Arteta but had a single loss to Tottenham. City's team is aged out and only finished a couple positions ahead of us.

To be honest, I don't remember the intake and don't have a screenshot saved, but I see nothing exciting in the squad. We will see in a few years.

Next Season

I expect another season of trying to avoid relegation. A task I think we can do. The only question now is if my squad has hit a ceiling. Many of the starters are in their early 20s and haven't been showing signs of development and while they are solid players, they wont help us push on in the league. Hopefully the younger depth players will grow into those roles. Our facilities have been increasing a bit, but the board seems unwilling to upgrade the training facilities again despite over 100 mil in the bank. The board is also currently looking at building a new stadium in Nuneaton (we are currently renting Port Vale's new stadium). Hopefully they put my name on it.

CA Brown de Adrogue vs Club Atletico Los Andes Live Stream & Prediction

Club Atlético Los Andes

2023 - 2024

League | Squad | Profile: Quintana | Talent: Gallo | Youth intake

What a debut in the best Argentine tier! We managed to be fully competitive and deliver an 11th place finish, giving access to the preliminary rounds of the Copa Sudamericana next season.

The success has not gone unnoticed; River contacted me and offered me a job interview, just as our star Peralta, who has been with us since promotion from the 3rd division, after being monitored for a long time, has finally made his national team debut for Peru under coach Berizzo. However, he is also getting too big for the club so a sale could be on the stairs. He wanted a sale now, but Quintana persuaded him to stay. He has a contract until 2026 with an option for another year and will not extend. Fortunately, exciting Gallo is ready behind the scenes. Both Gallo and Giampaolo, the first really interesting players from the academy, have been equipped with long contracts.

Of the challenges ahead, the central defense in particular is beginning to age. Franchini has been promoted, but it could still be a weak point on the team card for a while. Brey has tipped Diaz off the goalkeeper post and continues to grow. However, we are - of course - vulnerable to sales, as we do not have good young players ready in all positions. We cross our fingers for a quiet transfer window.

Based on pre - season, things are looking promising.

The real test will be how I fare against my 'new' rivals: Aris, Panathinaikos and AEK, whom I am playing in my first game. Come on!!

And this is how you start the season!!!

Updated: 03.10.2033: Things are looking good. 2 x rival matches AEK and Panathinaikos, 2 x narrow victories:

Brilliant start to the season. We have had a couple mildly disappointing results (Larissa and Asteras Tripolis) but, more importantly, we have picked up wins against both AEK and Panathinakos.

And this has been achieved with an Advanced Forward, operating as my main attacking threat, who is miles behind the required standard!

My coach reports specify that he is currently playing at non - league level! For comparison, it is like having an EFL league 1 striker spearhead an assault on a European place in the English Premier League. I can only see us growing stronger as the season progresses.

And then we pull off this result:

The implementation of a player in the AM spot is a recent development (last 3 tough games). I had noticed with only 8 for Pace and 6 for Acceleration. Dounavis was not supporting the play as a DLF. As an EG he has excelled, linking play and offering an out ball for my WP and DLP. In addition, against the big boys there is rarely a DM in place so he has plenty of space to operate in,

Against those teams in and around me (within the lesser group of my deemed 'mini-league'), I have implemented a more attacking 4-4-2 Flat. This is to pressurise what are turning out to be very conservative tactics from the opposition AI and has been in effect since a dire 0-0 draw against bottom club Gianna 9 games ago. The results since then have been more than pleasing:

20210818140754_1.jpg.4014955cace8ba4a5f627b90fdd4e3de.jpg

Here is the 442 for those interested, the BWM is the vital cog, pressing opposing midfielders and often releasing the ball and driving forwards (added Get further forwards PI). In essence, I am attempting to maintain the responsibilities of a SV but in the MF strata.

20210818141016_1.jpg.d96e155628111325ee3ef81c6dfe8e0d.jpg

Things are really looking up, a top 5 finish and a European spot is looking more and more plausible.

20210818141425_1.jpg.4821c1d2e359e9a7b54800ab740f0623.jpg

It will all depend on how my Primary tactic performs in the end-of-season championship play-off group. I'm pretty sure this is the final product:

Season #87 - 2108/09

Another mid table finish, although we got more points than last season and finished lower

Hopefully can keep pushing on and improving little by little

Board have confirmed new stadium,

Alan Harris Stadium - 31,704

Harris played for us from 2065 - 80, scoring 350 goals in 426 games

@Padders103 score and 87 goals conceded!!! Wow. That is indeed some high risk football. Results are what matter though.

Yeah its the way I play.

I have tried so many times to be more conservative over the years but its just simply doesn't work

I find that we go out attacking and lose by a goal or two is better than losing 4-0 without creating anything!

So a quick question. Is it against the rules of the thread to link YouTube videos I've made for my saves based on the challenge? Might have had a extremely silly match where I was reduced to 9 men in a "live" league match.

ACN Siena 1904 - Season 24 - 2044/45 Youth Intake Preview

699479282_SienaYouthIntakePreview.png.118f4152ce2d86c0f78cb2e3cf30a11d.png

So our latest youth intake preview has gone in and we're being promised three top prospects in central midfield and a promising centre-back, which I am excited about. The only issue I have is the fact that they are the only two positives so far, which is both good and bad...

998203134_LeagueTable010145.png.abe73a982e0fe41dbd3491d3c163d1dd.png

Still, going into the 1st of January we're looking good to avoid relegation and our players are also developing. My tactics are the complete opposite of Padders where I am focusing on keeping clean sheets first and making sure that we can claim points instead of trying to outscore my opponents by 3-4 goals a game. It's currently working and we're looking to fight for European football. I think now that we should be safe from relegation unless we have an almighty collapse in the second half of the season.

1649631819_ResultsAugust-December.png.de6c5e21e163671e861e9e8b68d7f040.png

I will say that the results have been promising to say the least and we've been made to fight for some of the results we have gained, but the only disappointing part of the season has been the penalty loss to Südtirol in the Coppa Italia 4th qualifying round, making it the first time in 10 seasons that we've not made the 1st round of the Coppa Italia. It's disappointing, but we will right that wrong next season if we get a top eight fight this season.

That was so his mentality. They couldn't defend for toffee, but in Anderton, Sheringham, Klinsmann et al, they always scored. Was great fun to watch. I think they finished 7th or 8th that season. Keep it going, it's enjoyable to see your progress!

Yeah Kevin Keegan style was very similar at Newcastle in the 90's

2046/47 - Season 26

Premier League - 8th

Season Summary

A really good second season!

League - Didn't start so well. two 5-2 defeats in our first 3 games and only one win in the first five! But we did enough to keep our heads above water until christmas, when 3 wins and a draw out of 5 saw us nicely mid-table. February was a blip, 2 defeats and a draw, and our first game of March saw us heading back to Old traffod, scene of our amazing survival victory last season. Man U got their revenge by beating us 7-0. Suddenly, we were 16th and in questionable form, and I started to get a little worried about being dragged into a relegation battle.

Instead, we wont the next 7 on the bounce and found ourselves 7th and in a European spot instead! we couldn't maintain it, we lost the last 3 games and slipped out, but 8th is an amazing finish from us from last season so I can't complain!

47leaguetable.JPG.91c4b215b8fbcdf8f73e6db729588d22.JPG

Cup - another poor showing. I never do well in cup competitions in young only saves. I don't know why. West Ham beat us 2-0 in the fourth round this time.

Players

So, I decided to prioritise experience over youth for this season and try and stick to a first choice XI. It meant sending a couple of the more promising young players out on loan, but I figured they'd develop better/quicker with far more regular first team football under their belt. By and large, it worked really well, with a smaller squad being much easier to work with and far less temptation to mess around with players/formations which can be my undoing sometimes.

The best XI:-

47bestXI.JPG.90e50dbeb34f53013ef071f2cdec9154.JPG

So, the obvious disappointement was Claudio Barcham-Driver 40A. Second season in a row he's underperformed. He's a fickle beggar as well. I'm temped to move him on this summer, I have a few promising youngsters in the reserves who could take his place

Jayden Buckle 37E is a weird one. On paper he's fairly poor, with relatively low attributes across the board. But he consistently performs above and beyond what he should do. He's much better than he should be, really! 21 goals and 15 assists from him is astonishly good really. He's never been a favourite of mine, the fact that he's still hanging on to a first team place is a testament to how consistent he is

Kenny Skipp 42E continues to improve. Not a wonderkid though, which I thought he might be. Ah well.

But nevermind because I now have

Wonderkids

Abdul Boga 43B. I predicted that he would be last season and I was right. Only problem is he's already whinging about us not matching his ambition. Contract until 2050 though so suck it Abdul, you're staying here for now!

46bogawonderkid.JPG.a2eafc88b535bb44568110e8a02a09d9.JPG

Pierce Considine 43A - Once I realised Boga 43B was a bone fide wonderkid, it got me thinking. I only rated him B - who was 43A, that I thought was a better prospect? it was Pierce! To be fair, he did look good at the time. I gave him a few games last season as an 18 year old but he was appalling. 14 games, 3 goals, average rating of 6.49. But he had amazing potential, so I made the decision to send him out on loan and he went to Forest, in the Championship. Checking up on him I as pleasantly surprised to find he too was a wonderkid!

47considinewonderkid.JPG.ad449530b0135ec8149dd6a8e393c456.JPG

I'm thinking next season he'll be starting in the middle alongside Skipp and Buckley, Barcham -Driver can sulk in the reserves. I can see now, I put him in too soon at 18!

Youth

Another preview that was short on the green, heavy on the yellow but promising a golden generation. yeah, heard that before (although it was spot on for 2043 by the looks of it!)

47youthpreview.JPG.dc4b7b51728a52da9ad7d8a075331dd1.JPG

The intake was.... better than the last two seasons, anyway, but nobody really jumps out as a future star.

I signed up about 10, mainly to flesh the squads out. Plus, i have had 2 star prospects be labelled wonderkids when they hit 20 in the past so I'm 47youthintake.JPG.4e13e865fd7c203ad994a13d9e376103.JPG

Southgate is the obvious candidate for future stardom

47southgate.JPG.a15f08ebd2786f5635a954c9a7143727.JPG

He looks ok for now, I'll leave him in the youth team for a few seasons and check on him later.

Finances and Upgrades

So, we have over 100m in the bank now and almost maxxed out all facilities.

The big news is our new stadium is finisehd so we can stop playing in the public urinal we've had to call a stadium for the last season but the bigger new is a new takeover!

47takeoverffs.JPG.24bb37b6da4480122f48c5501ff745c5.JPG

I'm a bit upset. They're buying me players! and Same Bell, my old chariman, was great. He said yes to everything and loved bringing up youth players and made it a priority. We'll see how this swift fella treats me.... I've had other offers!

692204875_47englandmanager.JPG.a00f4999bc0508fd42835e221dcf058c.JPG

Lol at Ben White being a future England manager. But why not? I'd have lolled at Gareth Southgate being a future England manager in 1996.

Career

My  mistake. Probably why it hadn't crossed my mind before. Like you said, what a player. I think it was at Newcastle where him and Keith Gillespie were feeding Shearer, Ferdinand, Asprilla or Beardsley. What an attacking force.

Looking promising. As anticipated we have qualified for the Championship Play-Off Group. Moreover, we occupy the final European spot before the final ten fixtures commence: Just as I had aimed for, by taking points off of AEK, Panathinaikos and Aris in the regular season, we stand a real chance of holding onto that fifth spot.

As a team also attempting to break into the top spots this is something I am also struggling with. It is hard to balance the solidity required to get results against the stronger teams, whilst retaining the creativity needed to break down the lower placed sides! As I have just posted, I have been having a good season, but have noticed that my results against the bottom four or five teams were less than satisfactory. In the close season, I am going to instigate a complete tactical revamp aimed at having a consistent setup of roles and duties that can be deployed in a defensively secure tactical set - up (to be used 75 per cent of away games and 15 per cent of home) and a more expansive, high pressure tactic that will punish weaker teams in the remaining fixtures.

In your save, I think just with player development you have a good chance of making the play - offs next season. Good stuff.

After best season in Garbarnia and higest place I starded next season with 4 points in over 10 matches and losing in cup on first round again. Swaping between tactics didnt help and we lost even with poor teams. Cant save my coaches due debt and 15 seasons without any major improvment in facilities made me to abadon save even when I have potentialy great prospects from last 2 seasons. After vacations I will try new run with another team or will wait for fm22 will see ;)

Season #88 - 2109/10

Another midtable finish but really frustrating

We started really well and was in the top 6

But then the dreaded loss of form hit

One win in 8 and as you can see from league position history we just dropped down the table

Sean Carey form dropped as well, with only 34 goals in 50 games

He has nearly lost his record of a goal a game

Folkestone Invicta - Season 2038/39 (Season 18) Review - Premier League

Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances

First season back in the Premier League and we hit the Euro spots! I think the few seasons we had up here and the very good season with a promotion last year had a good effect in the players. We did much better this time around and even had some massive wins, like a 2-1 away win at eventual champions Manchester City. So we are showing we are here in the division on merit, and that is very promising. We did outdo what I had hoped for this season as we finished in a very good 6th place and thus we are going into the Europa Conference next season. One major issue is that the last few years I've lost some of the best talents to other clubs due to my youngsters not signing professional deals. So to combat this I'm going to sign them up earlier and on bigger and longer deals. I might lose some money from it, but I am in the PL and I keep getting money thrown at me at every turn. I'm looking forward to our first foray into Europe next season, and I hope we can go far.

In the FA Cup we beat Chester, Blackburn, and Crystal Palace before we lost to West Ham in the quarter final.

In the EFL Cup we lost to Fulham in the 2nd round.

All our facilities are now maxed out and the same for youth recruitment and academy coaching. We are also at the highest youth level, so everything is a good as it gets. And we had loads of money still. I do expect the contracts to keep increasing in the coming years as we continue to become a more reputable team, but I still we will be fine financially. The next step is to build another new stadium, I think. The option has opened up with the board, but so far they have no agreed. I'll keep pestering them, though.

Youth

3903M2Q.png

Well, this was quite poor. At least one good player, but loads of dross!

,WQMXSx9.png

English-Papua New Guinean striker Morris Togubai 39a looks like a magnificent talent.

U18 team:

The U18s are back in the U18 Premier League and there they finished 2nd in the Southern division.

In the FA Youth Cup they beat Watford before losing to Brighton in the 4th round.

Statistics:

Spoiler

Papua New Guinea is an excellent place to add to the list and also only the 2nd country in Oceania.
