I'm guessing that it'll take a couple more seasons for better personalities to come through, still, I'm not overly excited.

2031/32

We went into the second season in the 2nd Division expecting to fight bravely against relegation. Though I was hoping to build on what was a very good first season in the division last season. We spent the majority of the season sitting between 4th and 8th place, it was pretty tight for the most part. Some good form towards the end of the season saw us break into the top 3 for the first time, but ZERO wins in our last 7 matches cost us dearly and we slipped back down to 5th! Still, it was an improvement on last season. Though I'm not happy with bottling the last handful of games! 

We also finally won a cup match! Ended up beating Freiberg in the 2nd round as well, before losing to Bayer Leverkusen. 

I actually took some screenshots of two of our more important players this season, it's something I've neglected so far! Up first we have Joseph Owuso, a defensive deep lying playmaker who finished the season with one goal and 10 assists in 28 appearances.

This next player has been garnering interest from bigger clubs for a while and I've been fortunate enough to keep him tied down to a long enough contract that I shouldn't have to worry about having to sell. Christoph Herm has been our ball winning midfielder for the past 5 seasons now and was appointed captain for the following season.

On to the youth intake. Since we were able to upgrade most of our facilities at the beginning of the season I was hoping for a decent crop this season. The preview was promising...

The actual intake was slightly better than what we were expecting from the preview. Though it's very winger heavy! Hopefully that means we'll be set for wide men for a few good years if we're able to get them to develop well!

Season 5 update

This season friends, this damn season.

Early on this year felt different, only lost to the other teams on 20+ points, fairly dominant against the bottom half. I think John Olesen was like 50% of our goals at this point

Lyngby started to fall off somehow, every time I checked however they had the top scorer in the league.

Here I started to panic. 7 points from 6 games, and Lyngby caught right back up. and Viborg were pretty solid so they quickly made things extremely tense.

Promoted though, what a brilliant season. 

Clearly we weren't much better than the rest, to the point that I'd argue that this is firmly our level right now. to make matters even worse our top scorer with 23 goals John Olesen decided to leave us, along with Pedersen. Losing two of our better/best players is brutal. Munk was once again fantastic, he is quickly growing into my favorite player this save so far.

The eagle eyed among you will have noticed a nice looking someone at the the bottom of that list, so its time to introduce you the the intake from this season. 

As the reward for getting promoted is going professional I was concerned about finances, so I only signed up the players who had 5 star potential. Delightful mix of nationalities this year.

Veje listed as a AML, ST... yeah about that... I'm usually fine with low finishing as long as decisions and composure are high... but i really need a "competent" forward. other than that speed demon with some skill on the ball, I'll take that.

Pind  fits in pretty well on the wing, unless Veje is too useless to play up front.

Elmi I couldn't not sign the Somalian CB could I? not exactly good, but development has started to happen, maybe he will be good enough to commandeer us some points next year. 

 

Things are looking peachy. Though next year will be very tough, as far as I know our worst opposition went one win and three draws against us this year... so that's fun. Not to mention the chasm we have up front and in defense, luckily our GK is fairly good. 

Our finances are solid but Full Time contracts will bleed our coffers a good chunk. I will be more on the safe side, expecting us to drop back down.

I just hope we dont get sacked next year, our board wants Defensive football... yeah not going to happen next year I think.

Ungmennafélag Njarðvíkur - season 2029

It all looked similar to the previous season, KR broke away in the second half and had a five point gap with two games to go, but this time we managed to defeat them on the road, so had a chance before the last matchday. And we won the last game with two goal margin which could give us the title if KR dropped points in a local derby against IA, but they got a 87th minute winner and defended the trophy.  

Cups – shared the pre-season trophies with KR, then defeated them in the main cup but couldn’t get past HK in semi-final during a poor August run.

Conference League – our worst European result so far, we couldn’t score a single goal.

Transfers – the most profitable year for us as I sold several former first team players who weren’t so good anymore but still earned high wages.

Squad stats – the class of 2028 was really incredible, four players from that intake – Hermannsson, Ulfarsson, Magnusson and Sveinsson already appeared in the first eleven, along with Sigurbjörnsson who is just a year older. And Hermannsson became our first ever senior international in a friendly win over Montenegro! Sævarsson set the club records for assists, mostly from corners.

Of course this intake wasn’t as good as the previous one, but still gave us some promising players.

I'm giving my Norwegian go a bit of a break and have just loaded up a new one in Portugal. I think I know the rules to make this work now as I once again try to make Cape Verde great (not again obviously, they've never been good at football) by taking over Africanos Bragança. The club produces Cape Verdean youngsters but play in Portugal.

Let's see if I can get the ball rolling this time... Since I now know, I might have to survive a few years before the players can play.

Season 5 Review

Competitions |Transfers | League Table

This season was a complete opposite of the last season! We finally cracked the top 6, so we didn't have to worry about relegation, and I'm very thankful for that, we didn't win any of our last 12 games. We ended up finishing on less points as Knockbreda that got relegated. Bittersweet, but a very harsh lesson and some form on reality on what's to come in the future.

We achieved our best finish in the Irish cup too. Getting to the 6th Round of the Irish Cup, losing to Linfield. We got 24k in gate receipts for the game, so we didn't lose too badly!

Beira-Mar – Season 3 – 2024/25 Season Preview

As we prepare for our first season in the Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG, it is clear for all to see that we are considered one of the weakest sides in the league for a very good reason. Two straight promotions without making a signing? That's always going to make your side one of the weakest in the league, regardless of who you are.

Still, despite that we have plenty of talent that I believe can help us survive, the first of which is the young centre-back Ely Casanova, who has developed quite nicely since we gave him his debut in midway through our first season in charge. It really shows how much he has grown in just 16 months.

If there has been one player who has been a constant presence in our side, it has been Maurício Júnior, and between playing as a defensive midfielder and playing as a central midfielder, he's been a very useful player for us in our first two seasons.

One central midfielder who has developed quite nicely for us has been David Alves, we are looking to try and get him to sign a new contract for us, but if we can't, then we may be forced to sell him on, which would be a shame. 

The last player that is important to us is our top goalscorer Hugo Sandoval. His goals has managed to get him call ups for the Paraguayan international team. He's been impressive and I am happy to have him scoring the goals that has been getting us promoted. Now he needs to get us the goals that will keep us up.

I go into more detail about the squad, and play two matches in my latest video, so feel free to watch that as well. We got to take on some sides in our league for the first time this season.

2026-2027 Review:

Other than the occasional upset the top five teams beat us anywhere from a close win to requiring fan refunds (twice). Against the bottom half we proved to be the best of the rest though by thin margins. 

 

Transfers:

Some were unhappy, some were unwilling to sign, and some were not really beating out the youth prospects. 

Youth Intake:

Another very solid intake. Still lacking strong Wing help. 

2027-2028 Preview:

Not much expected, but I'm confident to avoid relegation again. 

Was able to get one more upgrade in process.

Goalie Controversy:

At the Preview Update I stated how the Goalie from the 2025 Intake was banging down the door. Well he's a year out, so I should get him a nice fat contract offer

oh. Well I guess I'll get the current starter who also is a year out from contract expiry a new offer

Looks like a good intake from preview, mainly defensive players which I need a little cover for at moment

Season So Far

So far I seem to have a much better time with this team, Not sure if it is from being a Pro team, or if it is due to team just fitting a possession base style much better and that being a style I'm more comfortable with.

Tactic is a fairly basic possession tactic.

Results in league are good

And players are doing well, though I just had two players gain a longer term injure

I have.  Excellent as always and I haven’t encountered an issue yet.  @Makoto Nakamura.  Also, the Scottish system now has eight tiers all linked so you can now go from tier eight to the top.

Tempted to holiday until New Elgin finish bottom of the Northern Division Two since they're the lowest reputation club that's playable but I know that if I try and split my time between two saves I'll end up playing neither.

I love kitbasher!

I did all of these the first and it was way too many and had to go back through and redo it. I'm doing batches of 10 and then going through and re-doing any misses. This is also the max you can add into a list at once, any additional gives you an error.  Make sure to keep saving both config files separately (there's a second in the 3d folder) and then create a new one in the game folder that will have all of them.  

Edit: there is a button to create a full config file cause duh its a pain to manually do it: 

Annoyingly this is happening for my team. No idea if it's just an issue visually or if it actually isn't loading. Now to fix the badge...

i just tried all mine at once and got an error message too.

Got a batch of 30 going at the minute. so far so good....

Hmm think it might be time to change the HOYD as these personalities are just awful. 

Best of a 'mediocre' bunch. He will be okay going forward, but not a worldbeater.

Another aggressive bunch  And good natural fitness - I think this may be the ceiling without further upgrades, so I really need to start getting into better divisions and get the finances going!

XaW - Africanos Bragança - Season 2022/23 - Campeonato Nacional Prio

Well, this is quite the challenge, I'll tell you that! The match day squad needs at least 13 players who are "trained in Portugal"! Guess what most of my players aren't? So I had to use a lot of greys this season. The next issue? Players don't have this distinction when they come in through the youth intake. The positive is that 7 of them will be eligible for this in September next season, so a bit into the season we might not have to use grey players anymore. The rest will need yet another season to get it.

The initial phase went well enough, but we were not part of the top two (plus best 3rds) to go into the promotion stage. So our 5th spot meant we went into the relegation phase. 8 teams who play each other twice and the 4 worst go down (and out of the leagues). We fought hard and eventually finished 4th in our group and will get to play another season at this level.

I also seem to have a good board. They have given me several coaching licenses, as well as agreeing to improve both youth coaching and youth recruitment two times each!

Taça de Portugal: We lost on pens to Sabugal in the 1st round.

Player of the season: Bilimbota - The striker was more of less the only thing we had close to a threat on goal.

Youth intake:

As usual in the lower leagues, all 5 star potential. Still, at this time, I'd take whatever I can get.

Very highly rated by the staff, and I agree. My only gripe is that he is a bit short and not got great jumping. Hope he grows a bit.

Yeah, that was an issue I found to be the case in the first season. Once that was done you find yourself able to cope a lot better afterwards when they become "homegrown".

Yeah, I encountered that in FM21 and I just couldn't deal with it, but now that I know it, it should be fine. Just the first couple of seasons are a bit of a hassle.

Oh boy, oh boy  We clinched it! Luckily the season did not have more games, because we were running out of steam at the end, but we managed to get promoted! Yes!

It wasnt quite as dominating as in the other divisions, but I knew that. It was tough and next season is going to be even more difficult 😅

Small increases in avg. attendance & season tickets 😂 We also got drawn into the Cup, where we got knocked out in the 2nd round.

One of our poached players, who will give us 5% if he gets sold, so I hope the value is closer to the 130k than 12k 😚
