Season 3 (24/25)

So we managed to stay up somehow. It wasn't as comfortable as it looks but it worked out. Honestly my team is terrible. We lack everything, we lack heigth, we lack physicality, speed, technique and even mentals. Every single victory felt like an absolute miracle but in the end things somehow ended up working out... for now. I will get to improve my training facilities and my youth facilities but not my junior coaching. For some reason my president really doesnt want my junior coaching to be improved, I have asked more than 10 times by now..

So let's get to the important bit. I would show you players but only one name is really interesting out of the current squad, his name is Binder, he's austrian and must have been a result of the first youth intake while I was still simulating. He's improving and becoming useful, everyone else really isn't worth mentioning. But my youth intake was good!

1446092117_YouthIntake.thumb.png.f9ff63ea68e41d22382d0a1af47fbdf8.png

These kids have low ability right now but they have good potential and also most of them have decent or good personalities. However there is one exception:

1977965148_Elscherunambitious.png.1f7d2b73333b7c95c807cfc3044bee92.png

Eschler joins my unambitious gang, I don't know why I get so many of those, I have nobody at the club who is unambitious but he is the 4th highly rated youth player with this horrible personality...

There is also some more interesting news. My best prospect from the first intake is flourishing, but there's an issue:

1053761310_MoussaSylla.png.5e45feb2caca0044e11c5796c92670f8.png

So he wanted to go on loan and got angry when I didn't let him, so I loaned him out to Zwickau at the end so he would be happy again. However he developed so incredibly well, that now he feels he's too good to extend his contract (which is kind of true). So he only has 2 years remaining and probably won't extend. I plan to play him next season and try to extend his contract but if that doesn't happen I will have to sell him... which makes me sad.

The next season will be a nightmare again, I just hope we can continue to survive and some youth-players grow into actually useful players so we can build from here. But it's a veeeery tough challenge...

The Santa Cruz Football Club is a club Brazilian of football , the city of Barra de Sao Miguel , State of Alagoas . He currently competes in the youth tournaments organized by the FAF and the State 2nd division .

Santa Cruz, originally founded in 1967 , was rescued by the initiative of Paes Soccer (company that managed the CRB 's youth categories ), together with the partnership of the local city hall, initially aiming at attracting and revealing athletes.

In its first year of existence, the club was Alagoas Champion of the U-15 category , undefeated (with nine wins and three draws), defeating CRB 3-0 in the first leg, and drawing 1-1 in the game back.

In 2016 , the association came to be considered as one of the participants of the Second Division Alagoas Championship , information that ended up being confirmed, but the club's campaign was not the best: two wins, one draw and five defeats, ending the 4th place contest.

We have decent facilities! No way we can afford these for long.

So we finished dead last of the league where the winner gets promoted to Serie D as the Alagoas state representative.

And we finished 3rd bottom of the 2nd tier of the Alagoana State League.

Beira-Mar – Season 5 – 2026/27 Season Review

1821282503_ResultsApril-May.png.d927514167f9cecf5d15a0f353ee45fe.png

The end of the season was a pleasant surprise, we were able to beat some pretty big teams, even if we got beaten by Cova da Peidade by a pretty big score line.

2065231806_FinalLeagueTable.png.053c5d6e2d8c6911c8f0b02192486e9c.png

Another mid-table finish for the 3rd season running. Given we have never finished any lower than 12th so far, it gives me confidence that we will be able to continue to stick around mid-table and develop our players to the best of our abilities.

716602333_GardenscompletesContinentalCLicence.png.d30e8e3929b8d5fef69bf03855d636e1.png

We did manage to get our Continental C Licence secured, which was nice.

1731991666_JuniorCoachingbudgetincreased.png.b40a04781f2b2129bf29d6aadc7a69b7.png

I also managed to get our junior coaching up to Excellent, but managed to forget about it until my next youth intake preview. I have a feeling that the junior coaching has helped with how good our intakes have been as of late.

1100498832_CarlosLoureiro300527.thumb.png.ffb80bed28ab33254c735aebd3eb7679.png

I decided that I wanted to go over my best players at the club. Carlos Loureiro is one of them, but is refusing to sign a new contract, meaning that at best I have just one more season with him as my starting keeper.

1558671885_HugoSandoval300527.thumb.png.7c5c20e94d60d77aa278fcd7d80ef175.png

Though if there is one player that I am happy with, it's Hugo Sandoval, the man who has been my top goalscorer in all 5 seasons so far, which tells you just how important he has been for us. He's also our best player.

1768037621_IvanildoCorreia300527.thumb.png.e971f16187c0c3da09a2e6cf334fa1f1.png

Our best central midfielder is Ivanildo Correia, which is both comforting and concerning, especially when you realise thast he's unambitious, yet has become our best central midfielder despite everything.

1886875774_OdairAntunes300527.thumb.png.4d0cb737b48017beb07297b690d51cf8.png

Yet our best winger is Odair Antunes, who is really inconsistent (why oh why), but despite that, is consistently improving. Now if only he wasn't so inconsistent. We might have gotten more things achieved otherwise.

2027179329_SeasonStats.png.41e8ed5f932a41f27259b2f01101b36e.png

Still, despite everything, we are still improving. In my latest video, we did a full season review and looked at our tactics and who could play for us next season.

Sky Bet Championship

2032/33 (season 11)

Season Summary
Overall, I am very happy with the season. In the first season in the Championship we secured a midtable position 11 points above relegation.
Before the season started, I just hoped to survive and we succeed.
816736945_League33.PNG.46d96840e857e0d7e7337d15a0f48b4a.PNG

Craig Armstrong had another great season with 21 assists and 8 goals, breaking the club record of most assists in a season. He (and Calderwood) have now scored and assisted in every season and in every league from the National League North to the Championship.

But that was about that. No other players had a great season. Sure, my goalkeeper, Acheampong, had a fine season together with Ferguson and Säfsten (whom I sold in the winter for £7,5M) in the defense. My first choice forward only scored 13 while my second option scored 14.

1000174400_Stats33.thumb.PNG.bc8be5ae3fa1998c7e0669ed23a31b57.PNG

As Armstrong was the only one to perform well, you can see his profile. Technically, he is one of my worst players. But look at that Decisions 20! He is without doubt the most clever player on my team, maybe in the whole league.

949884830_Armstrong33.PNG.6b3c88c8f0d2724b547a1d2e39bbd03d.PNG

Look at his career stats too. He made a impact from the beginning.
411708205_Armstrong33_2.PNG.9419db8af34dfd3d7f569eedac7b1171.PNG

I was really excited about my preview with 5 stars and a new golden generation.

1580760509_Youthintakepre33.PNG.2fd9ebe34dbf9cbfe6689be5349db712.PNG

And I was very happy with what I got. 6 elite talents and a few with a okay CA.

957363657_Youthintake33_1.PNG.db33479ca7486c56b83f1343da6b0c73.PNG

944569683_Youthintake33_2.PNG.429d72b65fbd5776885b50122647edab.PNG

But the very promising looking goalkeeper has the worst personality I have ever had in my team. Is "easily discouraged" the worst personality that excists in game?

1564985200_Worstpersonality_33..PNG.2138fc34bdf9d3f19875d7735058545d.PNG

I made of course no incoming transfers but we sold Säfsten in the winter and had a lot of outgoing loans.

Finances and Upgrades

With the sale of Säfsten I financed an upgrade of the youth facilities and training facilities. The upgrades will be finnished early in the next season. My youth level is also planned to upgrade to level 3 this summer.
We are still not allowed by the local authorities to expand Broadhurst Park.

What a preview in what has been a very good year in Essen so far. We got to upgrade our training facilities so those are now "great", we got to upgrade our youth facilities twice so they will be "great" as well!

Also we finally got to upgrade our junior coaching which is now at least "adequate" and our youth recruitment is now "excellent". Finally this is going somewhere...

Season 16

Champions League :

Group stage was more complicated than usual, the teams from inactive nations were stronger after the update. I even lost 4-1 to a one and half star team during the group phase. We dominated the quarter and semi finals. In the final, we faced our nemesis, Kaizer Chiefs, the strongest South African team who won the African CL 5 times over the 6 last editions. In a similar fashion than the previous year, we conceded the first goal then fought to equalize. We managed to do so and went to extra time. Not much was going on until the last minute, Georges 32d centers from the right for Radebe 30a who was tackled without the ball by the defender. The referee gives a penalty, Mokoena 28a takes the ball and scores the winning goal. Challenge completed !

In the Premiership, Kaizer Chiefs was too strong this season. Zulu 27a etablished a new rating record in the league with 7,83 over 18 games.

20211209151000_1.thumb.jpg.b9841551b4f17ca27642068bbd1443e8.jpg20211209150952_1.thumb.jpg.81cb08f88a3ec02ba0a4a1e15daee469.jpg

Zulu 27a is the key player that carried us from dark times in Premiership to continental glory.

20211209151150_1.thumb.jpg.84296b90b83d0f8916b6d9c66a0847ad.jpg20211209151145_1.thumb.jpg.032f456b38371fc182de049ddc8cc4da.jpg

634 games played with 52% win. 11 trophies won.

Stats/records over the save. Best XI, mostly regens, 3 players from the original squad, and a french regen Masson 24d. Barely good for second division, but tall with good personnality and usefull as CD. One of the 3 foreign players that played for the first team. The 2 others, an iraqi and a swaziland player, took the South African nationality and played for the national youth teams.

20211209152234_1.thumb.jpg.eddd9ce9b0b2534e2191c6187a34a4ae.jpg20211209152530_1.thumb.jpg.f9fb52701ec21a1507d4b5e824a3b3b9.jpg

Mohammed 33a, the iraqi newgen, has the best attributes as midfielder. Radebe 30a performed really well this season.

Club facilities/Trophies won. Diski Challenge is u21 league.

South Africa started around 80th place. They are now around ~27th place. They never qualified for the world cup until 2038, as they were the host. They won their group with a draw 0-0 against Honduras and a win 1-0 against Serbia, securing first place. Then they did a nice run, losing to Netherlands in the quarter finals.

RAAL La Louviere 2040/41 (Season 19)

Performance

Well, this season we took on more than we could chew so to speak. Because of it our consistency suffered terribly as our very young B-Squad couldn't handle even the easy competition in the top flight. We played 51 competitive matches between 7/26 - 4/18 so 267 days which sees us averaging 1.34 matches a week without taking international breaks & winter holiday into account. While you English players may be used to such congestion my poor Belgians were not.

EC2: Fixtures

We focused on EC2, where we did amazingly well losing to Fenerbahce on aggregate in extra time draw 2-2 in a quarter final where we got seriously FM'd. But you can see before that the real surprise was our beating Athletic Bilbao in the Second Knockout.

What killed us was that because Belgium dropped in rank we had to start at the LEague Path 2nd round, so we had 6 early season games before the group stage even started.

League Fixtures

image.png.5e195f83758f91ab70317190ced6356d.png

All I can say is it was a dismal showing by us. What made this season really hard is how strong a bunch of teams was with STVV being the shocker. They are an Atalanta affiliate and they decided to send 5 Italians over which created an offensive powerhouse team that got both their striker and one of the Italians in the top 5 Goal Scorers for the season.

Cup

image.png.95723fc4458cd5ceabbc5a8a9446e863.png

Again I threw in all 2nd string for these games, and apparently Charleroi did the same thing as we almost beat them to move ahead. Notice its Sadik Pehlivan who is scoring tons of goals. The Underperformance of Leroux was a major issue this season.

Youth Intake

Here's the Preview, gave me hope:

image.png.89a6ae6d1833d48b99885a7580df3199.png

And honestly I'm disappointed with the result.

Cacchioli from my Swiss affiliate is saved by his personality, but really this is my highest potential player? That’s decidedly awful for this level.

The Nigerian has good Mental Attributes so he could become a decent CM

Got another American, at least this one is Scottish as well so hopefully he is cheaper (nope)

image.png.af21bd0816a2c2b7805fd5e47f9cc5cb.png

An Albanian/Kosovo player rounds it out.

Very bleh this year; My HOYD is out of contract at the end of this year. I’m tempted to look for an upgrade. He’s my second and I’ve had him for 10 seasons now.

Casali's '15 Year' Academy Reunion

With this being A Casali 25d second to last season with the club, and that he started the year with his Testimonial to his long and strong service to the club, he has decided to organize a reunion for his Academy Class of 2025 to see how all their careers have gone. Once word got out that there is to be a RAAL reunion, he began hearing from the classes ahead of him who never got a reunion asking if they could join so he opened up the invitations to Years 0-3 academy classes. In the spoilers you can see who showed up and where they've been for over 15 years!

As he knows that not all of you are interested in the bios of his fellow graduates, he has provided handy Spoiler Cards with links to their player profiles so as not to dominate your screens:

Y0- RAAL Academy Class of 2022

Spoiler

Lone Member Class of 2022: Rayan Renard 22a

Here we have one of our first big retirements of the save. This was one of the regens that came with the club when I picked it up (22a). He was in our CAM rotation for 14 years before we sold him to FC Eindhoven where he played out his final years. Seeing that he had retired is what prompted starting this Reunion Bit. He was involved in our promotion from Pro B to Pro A, but wasn’t quite a starter at that point. He really became important the early years of our Pro A experience during the transition from legacy players to an all Academy squad. We eventually sold him when he was 30 as his stamina was really bad so could only ever come on as a sub.

Y1 - RAAL Academy Class of 2023

Spoiler

Academy Class 2023

Isaac Kromah 23a is the only professional player among this group having a long career in the German Second Division moving around clubs. He was one of two star players who were the core of the team that successfully got us promotion from Pro B into the top flight. Sadly he wanted to move on to bigger clubs so left just as we got promoted, never playing top flight soccer for us due to a botched contract extension clause on my part. Even though he’s moved clubs multiple times each of the clubs he was a main feature being the vice or captain for 3 of the 5 German clubs he played for. While he never decided to switch to his second nationality and play international for Liberia, he did get a lone U-21 appearance for Belgium while he played for us.

The only others still active play lower division in Belgium:

Maxime Lucas 23D has played for Sint-Lenaarts for 10 years with 280 Apps and 22 Goals

David Lahdo 23f has played for Huy 12 years as their backup GK with 246 Apps conceding 280 goals

Moreno La Rosa 23g has played for Herstal for 13 years with 369 Apps and 24 Goals

Mehmet Kartal 23i has played for Londerzeel for 13 years with 355 Apps and 29 Goals

Jeremy Ruiz 23k has played for Londerzeel for 13 years with 361 Apps and 58 Goals

Retired:

Alexandre Denis – Retired 24 when left us

Aaron Zola – Retired 27 when left us backup RB, not much to say.

Y2 - RAAL Academy Class of 2024

Spoiler

Academy Class 2024

This class had a lot more talent than our inaugural class and ended up having 4 players who were sold for large enough transfers that I recorded them in the spreadsheet. I’ll go by date they were sold.

Luiz 24f: a Brazilian who I saw wasn’t developing up to standard so I sold him early to get a 100k fee to Mouscron in Pro B. He never played there and was passed on to KV Mechelen on a free, again never playing until he was released and went to Sint-Lenaarts in the lower leagues and played every game for them. He’s into his 12th season  now with 352 Apps and 17 Goals.

Francis Lebrun 24c: A CAM who was a forced board sale for 205k and a 20% sell on that actually got triggered. He was just getting started appearing for our club when the sale happened so only had 26 appearances. Then he went to Antwerp and was the key to their attack keeping them a viable contender in Pro A. Antwerp sold him to Standard at the start of the 29/30 season and promptly got relegated as they lost all attacking viability. His main success was actually a few years later at Sparta Rotterdam, who just released him over the summer and he has decided to try his luck in Australia for his final years!

Christ Makengo 24e: He is the crown jewel of his class and one of the top 5 most accomplished players to have graduated from our academy and gone out into world football. With Kromah 23a from last years class he was the other key player to get us promoted out of Pro B as our BPD. With his exceptionally high natural fitness he is still a solid DM and has proved it by playing his past seasons for Getafe in Spain’s First Division. This was after leaving the club we sold him to, RKC Wallwijk, who he helped get promoted to the Eredivisie and kept up there as a mid-table team. Fun fact once they sold him they became a Yo-Yo team again like they were before acquiring him. That’s two of our players now who’s departure coincided with a loss of form for their club.

As you may see he has a future transfer arranged to go to Toronto FC in Canada so I’ll have to check back in with him for the next few years as I see him as having an extended career in the MLS. This will be his first club that isn’t in one of my loaded leagues, so will be interesting to see how that changes things.

Ruben Serrano 24d: This is the first of the two outside back brothers who were my early Pro A outside backs. When he played for us he was the superior of the two, and it was a big deal when I sold him for then a record high transfer fee of $3.9M to KRC Genk (who have a penchant for buying our defensive talents). Sadly, his two-year stint there was almost entirely in the reserves. Then like many of my other players he migrated to the Netherlands where he played more a secondary/substitute roll for ADO Den Haag, then MVV and now HHC. With low natural fitness his physicals have fallen of substantially and most likely he will be let go at the end of the year and may consider retirement.

The rest of the class of 24 were let go on frees or for minor payments so haven’t been tracked at all in my spreadsheet so this reunion is the first we’ve heard from them in over 15 years!

Lower League Belgium:

Julle Ngoie 24a – Went to Wolvertem-Merchtem in 2030 on a free. Remained there for 10 years playing 306 games and scoring 23 goals with 44 assists with over a 7 rating. Then just this year he left for another lower league club Wervik.

Collins Odongo 24j – A Kenyan keeper who wasn’t near what we required and left us very early in 2027. He bounced around a couple clubs and then settled at Londerzeel where he has remained primarily as their backup keeper with only 148 appearances over 12 seasons.

Franck Chevalier 24i – a Right winger who was also a discarded youth went to Melsele in 2028 and stayed till 2039 making 287 Apps and scoring 10 goals before moving to RC Waregem where he still plays.

Kyllian Orsini – Never signed him and he went to Vosselaar for one season before moving to WS Lauwe where he has remained an amateur they call up sporadically playing 31 of his 93 games that one year at Vosselaar.

Yann Renard – A forward we ditched who Vosselaar picked up and used for a few seasons before he moved on to Bertrix in 2030 where he still remains on an Amateur contract. He’s played a total of 375 games scoring 106 goals with 20 assists across both clubs, so not a bad way to spend his Sundays.

Alex Dumas – An AMR who we let go to Blakenberge where he has played his Sunday league for 17 years making 426 appearances and scoring 49 goals.

Y3 - RAAL Academy Class of 2025

Spoiler

Academy Class of 2025

I came back in March and decided to do the 25 players as I’m worried some will retire this year. Starting again with the transfers in order of their sale:

Aurelien de Oliveria 25c: This was the second forced board sale of the 2026/27 season with Francis Lebrun 24c being the first. This one was even more frustrating as he had just started playing for us only making 10 apperances and is to this day the best set piece player I think we’ve gotten through an intake (Makengo was close in his prime). Like Lebrun, Antwerp stole him but decided not to play him. He then left for KV Kortrijk and was a regular starter for 5 seasons with them before leaving for Tubize-Braine where he has remained but will leave at the end of the year. Olieveria has been a fixture in the Pro A the majority of his career with only a small stint at the start of his time with Tubrize who he helped get promoted to Pro A.

Rene Jehl 25e: He was a short time captain and long time BWM for the club as he was our first high aggression midfielder we got through intakes. While he began breaking in during our promotion run, he really was a key player in our first years campaigns in the top flight. He played very well for us, but club finances dictated in 2035 after 10 years with us that it was time to cash in on his talent getting a 1.9M transfer deal moving him to sc Heerenveen in Kreuken. He never really found his footing since us and has moved clubs every two years and is currently at TOP Oss as a substitute with another of our graduates.

Next we have to feature the lone old man still with the club that I plan to let go on a free at the end of his contract and the organizer of our large Academy Reunion:

Angelo Casali 25d: Our first Academy player to make it into the “Favored Personnel” list as well as the current all time Appearance leader for the club, who I hope to break 500 by the time he leaves at 32. Even with his disastrous 2035 year where he had 4 months of injury with a damaged his spine and bad hamstring and significant number of minor injuries with his very high natural fitness he actually hasn’t started to decline yet which is impressive. Also you can see with that 5 jump in Work Rate and 3 in Determination how he has learned from my disciplinary treatments. The downside of that high work rate is he wears himself out and in high congestion he can only play 60min max a match. His continued value to the club is evident in his starting 9 and appearing in 2 of our EC2 matches.

His greatest value though is as a team leader and mentor where he has been passing on his 6 player moves on to all the young AMs to come through our academy. Will be a day when he leaves. He already had his Testimonial at the start of this year.

Next we have those who were released or sold for small amounts so not tracked in the transfer spreadsheet:

Emmanuel Dupont 25a: Our first Academy GK who played an important transition roll before a hot young prospect appeared to take the first keeper spot away from him. After sitting as our second keeper for a few years and never getting called up it was time for him to move on, but I got him a testimonial to commemorate the important servant he was for the club. Sadly his new club NAC Breda had the same use for him as we did and he still sits as the backup.

Ludovic Serrano 25b: The second of the Serrano brothers that appeared for us in our early intakes. Though slow, Ludovic had great mentals that made him a quality RB for us initially and then his adaptability on the left made him a useful substitute in his last seasons. Making 354 appearances he was temporarily the all time App Record holder for the club and spent 5 seasons as our vice captain. After us he was a reserve player for STVV for a few years but was released by them during the 2040/41 campaign.

That completes the major transfers and Key Personnel of the class, how about the rest of the group? Only two show-up as still playing in the lower leagues:

Dider Herve 25g: was released in 2028 without an App and went to Wellen where he still plays and has made 394 Apps and scored 46 goals as a RB

Djibril Raynaud 25i: was released immediately and bounced around clubs till 2028 where he settled in at Ganshoren making 346 Apps and scoring 19 goals.

Transfers:

Manager Thoughts:

This season is what happens when you play too many games with a young squad. Next season though we won't have Europe matches so I look forward to returning focus back to the league. I only expect to lose one of my AMs this summer due to a fee release clause I was held hostage to giving him. At least he delayed his contract till the end of the season so I didn't lose him in January.

South Shields
Season 05  ( 2025 / 2026 )
National League - 5th

Oh boy.  Dictionary definition of a let down.  We had a lovely season going, in our usual playoff position for the most part.  Dumped out of both cups in a crazy 3 day period in December, but that meant we could concentrate on the league.  From January we went of a great run of 12 wins in 15 games (1 draw, 2 losses) and we were bang in the hunt for top spot.  Then (and to this day I still do not know why), the wheels fell off.  We lost all 4 of our last 4 league games (Fylde won all 4 of those to finish 12 points ahead of us), teams below us caught up and on the final day of the season we dropped from 3rd to 5th.  Losing a first round bye in the playoffs.  And we made it 5 losses in a row to end the season, barely putting up a fight in a 0-1 loss to Harrogate....

This years youth intake isn't very deep, but the 4 tagged are good looking prospects, with 3 of the 4 having good starting personalities

Oh that pace!  If he was speedy I would be very high on this kid.  Still, two footed and can play anywhere along the AM strata.  Planning on seeing if he takes to retraining as a forward and will go from there

05B.PNG.2aed570f5a2df601481d7e53f0c0ce46.PNG
Natural at DL & DC is going to help (him and me!).  Decent starting physicals, the rest needs work

05C.PNG.d9ac02c3d608d30a95ff77a90f81acc4.PNG
Yet another right back (we have 325 of them!).  Might try some retraining, but not 100% on what

05D.PNG.72280a93bdccc32c2756c7fb79877caf.PNG
A decent looking left winger

The board is happy for the most part.  We have had takeover rumors for going on 12 months....

Transfers.png.47aba840b38d6dd36e1a05f05aebc7a6.png
No incoming, but a couple of outgoing.  Jak Eccles YP-02A hurt, but he forced my hand.  73k plus the 50% sell on, so time to hope he gets sold at some point (and now down to 324 DRs :) )  Glen Grant-Soulsby YP-03C didn't hurt as much immediately, he was my backup GK.  A little nervous now, as a couple of league clubs are currently nosing around my main GK and I have no real quality backup currently.

Season 25/26 (Season 4)

We survived again and fairly comfortbaly due to a phantastic run in the first half of the season, though I don't know how we had that run because we are still awful. However we also lost the last 5 games in a row and my best defender at 32 got injured for another 4 months. We have no CDs anymore other than Kourouma, everyone else is just so terrible... so again I fear we may be relegated soon.

470294684_finaltable.png.5c6cf0a5b9bd44bdf91303cfc5117442.png

We also had a good youth intake in terms of potential:

1838777868_IntakeElitetalents.png.13b614b9c510b4284fefcc67c296f0af.png752609237_intaketalents.png.eb79d0064969531fcb1fb89fb8781240.png

Great right? But guess what:

Wellers.png.a88808a90678f19832cbee3fce76f5f6.pngShapu.png.b37641d523e880394b3aba354c4a114b.pngScharpenberg.png.839d97b0ee0b36b7d5cd02e5f94b31e1.pngDejladini.png.a57d9ddc58d859b848f8de8db0ce5967.pngChojnacki.png.125045af86b4a53f51a68df7450bd13a.png

Awesome. UNAMBITIOUS AGAIN!!!

I seriously have no idea why. I checked my entire staff again and nobody is unambitious. I simply don't have players with great personalities to mentor them and this is destroying my fun. There is no explanation, they are all held back terribly and develop slowly if at all, if this keeps up I can just as well end the challenge. I have no idea what it is and it's incredibly annoying. I could live with one or two but over half of the top talents? No way...

So there are two players I would like to show you:

Binder.png.ba9d58d69c00817bf885e423b76a8a59.pngMaslanka.png.8bc6d37407c76a4a10349776f5e289c0.png

Binder is my best central midfielder by now and I'm very happy to have him, he is one of the few players who actually looked like improving all the time. He was a product of Essens first youth intake in the first season when I wasn't managing yet.

The other is Maslanka who was in my youth intake together with Sylla and is also Resolute, which is of course awesome. He didn't develop nearly as quickly or well as Sylla but is by now considered a 5* potential player and has started to improve a lot, he also got a lot of game-time.

These kinds of players are what gives me hope, but I will need far more and this personality issue is destroying it.

Licata calcio 2024/2025

20211212105244_1.thumb.jpg.82607b777e3f4e9749c8dabccefdfe49.jpg

No more words needed... Everything went wrong, Our key players were either sold by the board or injured.. Last day before the first playoff game our goalkeeper became sick so I had to put the back-up wing-back in goal. I tried this youth only thing on my own with Cottbus and thought it was to easy, well this was a challenge I can assure you.

season        league                   position                             youth rec                      youth coaching
22/23         serie C/C                7th (2nd round playoff)              Fairly basic                    average

23/24         serie C/C                6th (Qrt final playoff)              Fairly basic                    average
24/25         serie C/C                17th (relegated via playoff)         Farily basic                    average

Well Well, I will heal the wounds from this and return, just have to figure out a different country to do this in, probably with a club who has got better reputation or facilities.

Well, I know some will be disappointed, but I have to take a break from my Cape Verdean save. Just lost me a bit. I might go back, but for now, I need a change of scenery, so I'm trying a save in France.

Here is the, for the lack of a better word, stadium. More like the playing field, but anyway. Not far out to the Mediterranean sea, so at least we can have a bath in the sea if we lose! :D

Me too but I understand, your safe has been going on for some time.

Two quick questions:

1. I can't find an option for my youth team to not play like my first team. I would like to do that because my first team has to play very intensly to survive but this causes injuries. The youth team playing the same way also gets more injuries which is bad for development.

2. Does anyone have an explanation as to why I get so many unambitious regens? I have 0 people at my club with that personality.

What personality does your HoYD have? Even if he has a good personality he can have a low Amb anyway, and give that through to the youth players.

He is fairly professional.

I would get it in like 1 or maybe 2 cases. But it was 5 out of 7 of the most talented ones last intake. The intake 2 years ago also a significant amount.

Fairly professional can have a very low Ambition rating, so it could be due to that. What is is determination and media style? I'll have a look at what his ambition could be.

In the meantime my most talented and developed regen leaves the club. I know it's not a lot of money but I tried extending and he wanted a clause which was 2,7m. So I'd rather sell him for that amount (with some money being paid in installments) and a juicy 50% of profit clause!

Yeah, he can have anything between 1-20. So if he has a very low ambition (>5), it's not unlikely he will create loads of unambitious youth players.

Might think about looking for a replacement.

Damn. He is german and I won't find someone who knows the country and is better. But okay, thank you. So what should I look for then? Professional I guess?

Is there like a website where you can see that? Already found it. Seems ambition can always be 1-20

IZOLA - Season 4 (2025/26) Review

image.png.46e246c655dcd78b942227167cb98f06.png

A decent season and another 3rd place finish.  We had a good intake but my big concern is that, with the exception of a couple of players, I have been unable to get my players to develop.  I've never really had this problem before in FM, and was hoping the recent fix mentioned in the patch notes would help, but I haven't noticed an improvement yet.  Fingers crossed for next season.  We have improved our facilities so I am hoping the training standards will improve.

It's a bit outdated, but it should give you a general idea of what level the attributes are at.

Someone nicked my spreadsheet for their website :)

I created that spreadsheet back in 2014 when I started playing youth only. It even has my original notes when you hover over the attributes.

I updated my spreadsheet last year using FM20 and created one for staff too, as they have extra descriptors available.

I am happy to check these for HoYD, coaches etc if that would help anyone!  That said, I cannot find an Ambitious - Evasive/Unflappable combo in my db, so might be quite rare.  F Prof, LH D14 looks like this for me...

High hopes also for Kevin, but they were put on hold straight away when he was injured during the trialists game against the u18s for 5 weeks, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.  Decent starting pace and finishing and standing at 6ft 2in I'll be looking to see the goals start coming for him soon.

A pacey, dribbling winger.  Needs some work and to get through a pack of others in line.

The board are still happy, although bemused by just 'satisfied' at developing youth.  We are usually at 9 youth intake kids in the starting XI every game now.

Just the one sale, former main man Callum Ross on a free to the USA.

Updated modern day records.

Days after the season ended we had a bunch of action.  Firstly a HUGE transfer as the inevitable happened and starting GK Conrad Norman YP-02C was sold.  We actually agreed the transfer in January, but Blackpool agreed for the transfer date to be the end of the season.  With his contract running out at that point as well, it was a great deal for us.  180k and 50% sell on, for someone who would have walked.

We then had news that our youth training was downgraded and this triggered our youth level to also be downgraded to a 4.  We immediately went to the board and requested both increases to youth training and junior coaching.  Both accepted (youth training costing 350k! ouch) and finally some movement.

Ok, finally up-to-date on reviews, although season 7 is over halfway done.  Hoping to play more later today

That's amazing work, great job! I might come to you if the next intake is horrible again.

Might not even matter though because relegation is looking to start likely as all my older players are getting worse and my young players for the most part aren't developing due to their personalities.
