Popular Post andreidvb
After more than 30 season in charge of the club, the board decided to sack me due to currently sitting in 10 th place in Season 34 with 6 games left. This was unexpected, as I had finished bottom of League two several times but managed to win the relegation play offs Did not manage to go higher than League One, but I really enjoyed the save, and will of course give this challenge another go with a new team.

How many players loaded and you load other leagues than yours where you're playing? I set mine up like this for Slovenia. The custom db is all continental rep players (i.e. all continents) then all national rep players in Europe as that's where I'm playing. Playable - I loaded Croatia as they are a major transfer nation for Slovenia (transfermarkt.co.uk) and the 'top 6' in Europe (based on euro performances and transfer spend). The view only leagues don't add much to processing time and make the euro competitions a little more fun. Main thing for me is realism, so have top trading nations is important and as we cant sign players I like to have playable leagues/clubs as these are the only ones that will hire staff that you can potentially sign or lose yours to. This is a great thread to help in balancing your long-term save.

Whats with the american regens do you have affiliate club? Thanks! I have always liked seeing where my youth players go when I play, and this chalenengd emphasizes that element. It's because I'm American so I made my head coach American. As my reputation is up to 3☆ it will sometimes bring Americans in through the youth intake. It's why in the challenge rules you can't add random second nationalities if they aren't real as you expand your intake pool that way. Random fact: LA Galaxy tried to steal my GK who is the #2 for Belgium and he told them to go away because he didn't want to go to a lower reputation club! Slowly making steps up that reputation ladder

This is a great thread to help in balancing your long-term save. For Belgium I loaded top flight for France, Spain & England and then top 2 leagues in Germany and the Netherlands. The last has been the most impactful as not only do I get a lot of my coaches out of there, the majority of my transfers end up playing there. However the most important part is i went into advanced setting and for Europe I selected for all teams in continental competitions to have players. This makes almost all my EC2 games be real fixtures as most of those teams are full of players. Also it's why Inter and AC Milan have dropped big money on my players as they have full main and reserve teams due to always being in ECC.
JLAB
Beira-Mar – Season 6 – 2027/28 Season Preview The new season didn't rate us that highly, though we did look like a side that could be challenging for a mid-table finish perhaps? fries
Does anyone know how the youth level system in England works? In the 2027/28 season I upgraded to level 3 and thus promoted from the National U18 League to English u18 Division 3. But in the next season we downgraded to level 4 again, but stayed in the Enligsh u18 Division 3. Just discovered it now in the start of the 2033/34 season. We once again upgraded to level 3 but we were already in the Enligsh u18 Division 3.

However we also lost the last 5 games in a row and my best defender at 32 got injured for another 4 months. We have no CDs anymore other than Kourouma, everyone else is just so terrible... so again I fear we may be relegated soon. We also had a good youth intake in terms of potential: Great right? But guess what: Awesome. UNAMBITIOUS AGAIN!!! I seriously have no idea why. I checked my entire staff again and nobody is unambitious. I simply don't have players with great personalities to mentor them and this is destroying my fun. There is no explanation, they are all held back terribly and develop slowly if at all, if this keeps up I can just as well end the challenge. I have no idea what it is and it's incredibly annoying. I could live with one or two but over half of the top talents? No way... So there are two players I would like to show you: Binder is my best central midfielder by now and I'm very happy to have him, he is one of the few players who actually looked like improving all the time. He was a product of Essens first youth intake in the first season when I wasn't managing yet. The other is Maslanka who was in my youth intake together with Sylla and is also Resolute, which is of course awesome. He didn't develop nearly as quickly or well as Sylla but is by now considered a 5* potential player and has started to improve a lot, he also got a lot of game-time. These kinds of players are what gives me hope, but I will need far more and this personality issue is destroying it. I don't know if this is just my confirmation bias but I completely overhauled my U18 coaches recently getting a model profesional head coach and all professional/fairly professional assistant and coaches and my intake personalities have improved substantially.

Popular Post Braumiller
South ShieldsSeason 07 ( 2028 / 2029 )National League - 3rd We are getting so much closer, but this hurts so much more! I think we have finally settled on an attacking 442 approach and the recent blossoming of youth into first teamers fits that approach. Second half of the season we hit our stride and despite playing two games a week for most of the year we this time kept our heads above water. Entering the home stretch of the season we were fighting for a top 3 spot in the league (which brings a first round bye in the playoffs and a semi final home advantage) and still in the FA Trophy. We won on the final day of the season to ensure 3rd place, this was a big step for us that we had failed numerous times. Playoff Semi final and we swept 7th place Boston aside 3-0! The final, against 2nd place Notts County, at Wembley, our first visit! And their superiority shone through. A cracking game for the neutral, but a 2-5 loss for us and heartbreak. 38,815 turned up to watch, so the bump in gate receipts is nice, but urgh.... Two weeks later and we made a 2nd ever trip to Wembley for the FA Trophy final against 4th place Sutton United. We fell behind 0-1 and 1-2, and we looked doomed after having an 85th minute equalizer ruled out for offside. However substitute Michael Dunn YP-07A struck immediately and we were level on 86 minutes! Nerves took hold, and a cruel end to a cruel season conceding a 91st minute winner... Two trips to Wembley, two defeats. The kids are coming along nicely, but the stage was too big for them right now. Another interesting intake. After going 4-5 years with just the one attacking prospect, HOYD Phil Jagielka is starting to churned out quite a few. This years top prospect is another forward and he is a towering one at that, another 6ft 6incher! Michael could be very good! Decent pace for a lad his height, some flair, some technique and a good work rate. Already popped up with 3 goals in 2 starts and 5 sub appearances, including a big goal in the FA Trophy Final. Fred is yet another DR prospect. Needs to work on his tackling to make it there, but he could prove to be a decent squad player and cover MR/AMR duties as well Another tall lad and potentially useful MC Just the 3 outgoing loans this year Well, our takeover finally happened after 4-5 years. A board member took over and it was uneventful. Then the day after the season finished we received this.... Not sure exactly what that means for us in the long run. The board did also approach me however about upping our youth level, which I naturally agreed to. Should take 12 months, but we will be going (back) up to level 3! Officially all caught up now (on my posts, still have a couple of hundred updates to read through! ). Haven't played on since the double Wembley heartbreak, but I feel a lot better about our foundations now than I have before. Looking for another playoff push and continue maturation of the squad.

Popular Post CardiffDragon
Cardiff Draconians 2029/30 After a blip in the master plan last year where were not in europe and lost a LOT of money we scrapped through again this year into europe which was a lifeline. This happened becasue two years ago although we had a very competitive first team which made it to the group stages of europes lowest competiton our back ups which were doing a lot of the work in the welsh league were not good enough and were getting stuffed against teams we should be beating. But two years on with improvements to facilities and a couple of good youth intakes i think we can hold our own this year in the league. quite an easy first round, we won both games and dominated them really second round i forgot to take a screen shot but we won and won well third round it was won in the home leg, in fact we have not lost in europe at home yet, building a bit of a fortress here again it was our home win that pulled us through, of them all this must count as our biggest result ever, again we won at home and this puts us through to the group stage what an easy group OK chelsea might be a step beyond but we should beat the czech side and if we can steal some points from hearts then knockout stages here we come....... Spoiler ummmmmmm didnt quite work out like that, did manage to claw out two draws and held chelsea to 3-0 but otherwise .......there is always next year. the squad players did well though and at the split in the league... first time we have made it into the top half for a few years now and with our better players coming back in we won our last few games before the split and shot up the table, we dont talk about TNS. and this continued the rest of the season with as competing with everyone except the team who shall not be named. our highest ever league result and europe again next year but we have continued to build on our facilities and our youth intake was again great this year, so hopefully we can compete well in europe again next year but i really do need to talk about TNS..... CardiffDragon
Cardiff Draconians 2029/30 Lets talk about TNS One of the hardest things about doing this challenge in wales is TNS they are by far the best team as can be shown by their past results Apart from one year where Cardiff Met had a very strong team which also made it to the group stages in europe TNS have won (OK have walked away with the league every year) so it is a slow process to try and keep up with them especially as they get into the CL every year and therefore get more money. In fact they were seeded first in the group stage of the second tier competition this year all of this seems doom and gloom but what this means is that as a league we have one team that is helping you improve in europe at the start of this season we as a country through previous improvements had reached 27th in europe what does that mean It means we have a long way to go before we get that second spot in the CL which at the moment seems my only hope of getting in 27th to 15th does not seem that far but we have a lot of ground to make up this was taken at the start of the season and you can see that there has been an improvement in the last few seasons and the one years cardiff met also got to the groups stage we scored 9 which should hopefully push us right up when those low scores go. So unless you are a run away winner in your league it is not the end of the world at this stage when i am still building and improving facilities to have a side that is a lot better in your league it will help in europe and when you hit that magical 15th and get a second CL spot then you can thank them. at the end of the season we have moved up a few spaces 21st now rather than 27th only another 6 places to go and then CL here i come......... i hope

Libertine13
2037/38 Club Update Since we achieved promotion back into the 2nd Tier I thought I'd post a run down of how the club looks right now, 15 seasons into the challenge. Honestly thought I'd be a little further ahead than this but it is what it is. Firstly here's the first team squad as it stands, we have no players left over from the original squad, I think the last guy left a season ago. There's quite a bit of potential, but outside of the starting XI we have such a lack of current ability. Especially at centre half! The goalkeeper situation is a tough one as well, I know Helmes (35c) needs game time to help realise his potential but he's noticeably poor. Christoph Herm. Club captain, extremely consistent performer. A couple years past his best though but still one of the main men. Spoiler Vladimir Kostic. Our best youth prospect to have come through, already one of the first names on the team sheet. I'm furious that his agent locked in a minimum fee release clause and I'm not sure we'll be able to keep hold of him. Absolutely gutted. Spoiler Marlon Mielitz. He was our best performer last season with a 7.58 average rating. Also chipped in with 8 goals and 8 assists in his 28 league games, mainly from the left wing. Spoiler Finn Wolf. I never thought he'd make it as a first team regular, but with our lack of options in his position he's stepped up and actually become pretty important to the team. Spoiler Maximilian Wagener. Another one of our better prospects. Broke into the first team this season just gone, whilst not had the best of performances he's really developing well. He's got a £1.9m release clause that I couldn't avoid so I'll be trying to get rid of that this coming season! Spoiler Seyfettin Aydogdu. This guy is probably the best young prospect we have who hasn't broken into the first team properly yet, this coming season I'll be trying to get him a decent amount of game time. Spoiler Our facilities are looking pretty solid right now as well. We've just been able to upgrade the Youth Facilities, which will be completed in a couple of months as well. There's £20m in the bank but the tight chairman is dragging his feet on upgrading anything else right now. I'm going to need a couple more really good youth intakes to help push for promotion in the next couple of seasons, it's been a bit of a slog recently!

DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2026/27 C. E. Jenlai Season Summary Another decent season though there was no repeat of last season's cup win. Season Details Europa Conference League - We came so close to causing an upset against Estonians FCI Levadia Tallinn before narrowly losing by three goals to two on aggregate in the first qualifying round. League Table - We settled for another fourth place finish, which is still punching above our weight. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We once again started like a train before losing some form and having to settle for a top half finish. Copa Constitució - There was no repeat of last season's cup heroics as Inter d'Escaldes knocked us out at the quarter final stage. Supercopa Andorrana - A comfortable victory over league champions Inter d'Escaldes saw the club win their first ever Supercopa Andorrana. Pre Season Friendlies - With just three losses in our fifteen games, we had a good, solid pre season campaign. Squad - We finally have a squad! It isn't the best, but they are playing way above their level. Squad Dynamics - Considering most of the squad have only just arrived, this is surprisingly good. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - None. Youth Candidates - We finally have an academy and our first intake was pretty good, with right winger Carlos Ruiz YP27E5 already the best player at the club. Finances - We made a healthy profit thanks largely to European football. Now to improve the academy. Key Players João Sequeira - Another great campaign from the defender. Leandro Quinhentas - The striker enjoyed a good season, filled with goals. Estanislao López - The defender played well above his natural level. The longer he keeps this up the better. Mauro Oliveira - The right back found form occasionally but is still below his best. Carlos Ruiz YP27E5 - The right winger slotted seamlessly into the side when he graduated from the academy. Next Season Another top four finish is the aim, with anything else a bonus. Popular Post Sanno11
Denbigh Town F.C - Season Summary 2028-2029 Squad | Finance | Transfers | Facilities JD Cymru Premier This season was another step forward for us. To finish 16 points of 3rd place Llanelli was a huge step forward. Bryan Challinor (28a) managed 13 goals and 17 assists in the 30 games he played, his unambitious personality seems to be hindering his development, but if he can return anywhere near those numbers next season, he's an asset. It is slightly demoralising to see TNS get stronger and stronger, we actually managed to inflict their one defeat, a 1-0 away win, to my surprise. With everyone but TNS being semi-pro, the difference in squad quality is small, so I am pleased I've managed to be this consistent from season to season. Euro Cup II I thought this could be the season we made the group stages. I did not expect Triglav, to be as strong as they were and we had a disappointing exit. Welsh Cup This time round I did not prioritise the cup and we saw an early exit to Bangor, who took us to penalties after a 1-1 draw. Youth Intake This was a second successive intake, with good personalities and a lot of ability. Ruscoe will be my starting right back immediately and I am really optimistic that our Portuguese-Welsh striker, SIlva could be something special, the first player we've had with a professional personality, so I have high hopes. Harvey Ruscoe (29a) Miguel Silva (29b) Kieran Mullender (29c) Stephen Barker (29d) Club Overview We did not go for any club improvements this season, I am officially trying for professional status now. I can approach bridging the gap with TNS is a couple of ways, but I think, if we become professional and our players develop better, then we could have the squad to make it into the group stages of Europe. It will take a while to be able to overcome TNS, but, our club keeps growing slowly, so we are on the right path. The Welsh Premier's reputation keeps heading in the right direction, it's now up to 64th in the world. Wales is 32nd in the European qualification table, so a decent way to go before we start getting close to a second Champions league spot. I don't know what will happen first though, us toppling TNS or Wales reputation growing that much that second place becomes more valuable.
Braumiller
Just noticed, when Grimsby won the National League last season, they had on loan my GK I had sold to Blackpool, Conrad Norman YP-02C. So at least one of my kids can win this damn league

JLAB
Beira-Mar – Season 6 – 2027/28 Opening Games As I prepared for the new season, I was hoping for a good season. What I wasn't prepare for was a lot of games where we either couldn't score, or couldn't concede. We have been getting results, so it hasn't been completely useless. Still, after seven matches, we sit in 11th place. We sit five points clear of the relegation zone and relegation playoffs, so it's been productive to say the least. Still, if you want to see how the season has been going in more detail, and what the statistics have been like, my latest video will go over that. Popular Post RicoFoma
Season 26/27 (Season 5) So I finished the last season yesterday but as I posted so much I didn't want to also put in the result. My youth intake and my struggle with those have already been uploaded so let's keep this short. We ended up surviving yet again but despite having 3 more points than in my first 2. Bundesliga Season, this one was the closest call with the 33rd day making my survival official. I don't even know how we do it because according to my assistants and coaches, only one of my players actually has 2. Bundesliga-Quality. I do however believe that this is wrong and it's more like 4 or 5, still though. Hannover with my best yet regen Sylla got promoted in first place and he was their leading striker so good for him I guess. The table was strange this time around, Holstein Kiel were relegated from the Bundesliga the season before and went down yet another league. Even Stuttgart struggled until March, when they were still in a relegation spot. My best player is Binder, his mentals are insane considering his age, his physical is decent, of course his technical skill is lacking a bit but a player like this gives me hope that I can do it, keep on developing and surviving until finally we have enough to get promoted. However, Feyenoord wanted to buy him already and he doesn't want to extend his contract. He has 2 years remaining and I might keep him until the very end, he is just too important. My facilities are coming along nicely, this season I will not upgrade in order to keep some money for myself in case of relegation. I am so well liked I believe I would survive relegation and get to stay at the club, so keeping money seems like the smart thing to do. Should we survive again I will again upgrade my facilities, both of them. Everything else will be known if you read a lot but if not: I'm questioning everything right now because of the bad personalities I get on regen date which are holding me back soo much. Unthinkable where I could be if those players had good personalities but with "unambitious", they hardly develop at all. In this season I will force the issue and play a few of them because many players will need replacing within the next 2-3 years at the latest. I changed out many U19s coaches and even got myself a Model Citizen as assistant and a Model Professional as one of the coaches, everything else is professional or resolute except for my HoYD, who is Ambitious and together with his media handling should also have high professionalism. So the next intake will be the moment of truth. I even got a Model Citizen Scout and a Professional Director of Football just because. I am also questioning my training regimes and making changes there. In terms of development I haven't seen a huge impact yet but my season started very well: So first of, that test against Hamburger SV who are an established Bundesliga-side again, we were up by 6-0 after 23 minutes and yes, they played their best team. Insane, no idea why. But the start to the season was even better with wins over rivals Düsseldorf and even better Schalke, who are very fierce rivals of Essen, the fiercest even. We then barely lost away to Stuttgart, we had to play our third keeper and lost to a questionable penalty. All 3 teams I would consider candidates for promotion. The win over Wiesbaden was hard fought, but deserved. 9 points in 4 games is huge for us. The first round of the Cup was... not great but in the end, who cares. Winski
We lost our first match after 20 undefeated matches! We lost against Korona, kind of a weird name nowadays. But we're still 6 points ahead of Widzew and 8 points of Korona, so direct promotion is still a very serious option. Let's hope we can do it!

Daddy
Relegated yet again. The team is not able to compete at this level. The players that are good enough get sold out or unwilling to sign. The players that remain are too good for the second tier and thusly get promoted within a season or two. As a reult I have made a difficult decision. I try to keep things as realistic to myself as possible when playing this game. Once I've established myself would I accept a contract renewal for the same or less than I am currently making? No, I wouldn't. If I had a job where I didn't see anyway to move forward and I had other places I could go to that would allow me to advance my career would I stay at the job? No, I wouldn't. Short of getting lucky again with a dominant Intake player that would let me succeed at the first tier then I can't see this job as anything other than up and down between tiers. I've turned down numerous interviews for clubs in first tier that are in Europe competitions. So that's a lot of words to say I'm moving on! What's next? I may try Austria or try England again.

Daddy
Trying out Austria. Only one promotion spot so I could see being here a while. Decent starting facilities and a team full of players. First goal is going professional. 2022-2023 Preview: No real expectations to start, other than hoping to avoid relegation.
