Winski
Debreceni EAC European adventure 2025/2026 Well, that was our first European experience! We first did a great job by winning against AEK. Away 1-1, at home we won 3-2. In the Europa League League Path 3th Qual. Round we met Lech Poznan. We lost away with 1-0, but won 1-0 at home. But then we lost the match after penalties. In the Fourth Qual.Round of the Conference League we met AS Roma. I was hoping for a much smaller team, but it wasn't meant to be. As expected AS Roma was way too good for us, so that was the end of our first European story! Spoiler These messages are always very, very welcome Our balance is now almost €3M, so there is some room for upgrades! And last but not least: we got our first international call-up! Ulbert 24a is only 17 years old, but he got the world on his feet. He's currently my DL, although I prefer playing him as a BPD. But we've got two other very good DC's, and he's our best option as DL, so that's why. Edited July 4, 2023 by Winski
Riebow
Oghab Tehran Season Review (29/30) League: A step back compared to last season, finishing mid table again. We sold a couple of starters, of whom my best prospect to come out of the intakes up to now in Ashan Seifi (Intake of 27). He was my sole decent right back and we struggled mightily early in the season adopting. Combined with the extra games due to the Champions League and we were in and around the relegation spots after 11 games. Just like previous season we came under steam during the months of December and January, winning every single game and suddenly competing again for CL qualification. However, a disastrous end to the season saw us finish in the 8th spot. Spoiler Cup: We were soundly beaten by Sepahan in the 6th round. Asian Champions League We made it to the group phase, much to my own surprise. We had to beat better teams in Al-Arabi (Qatar) and Sharjah (UAE). In the group phase we were drawn with Al-Gharafa (Qatar), Al-Ain (UAE) and Tishreen (Syria). Al-Gharafa and Al-Ain were too strong, but we did manage a win against the Syrians. Intake: Quite an intake, potential wise! 9 players with 5 stars potential, although some of their personalities give pause. Spoiler The talent: Ali Mohammadi: 3 stars CA, but unfortunately the dreaded Unambitious + low det combo Spoiler Ali Fazli: Another midfielder with 3 stars CA (already 3,5 at the end of the season) with a better personality. He will probably replace our current DLP who's still an original. Spoiler Ali Mehri: Another midfielder, but again Unambitious and low det Spoiler Finances and upgrades We saw a nice increase in our average attendance, rising to 9603. As a result we start to make some profits each month, which I reinvested in the training facilities. Our board also agreed on a further increase to the academy coaching. So is there money in the Asian Champions League? Yes! Kind of... A draw nets us 10K, a win 60K... Pennies into pounds, etc... Transfers: At the end of last season we sold our all time topscorer: Ehsan Rohani. Some team out of UAE gave us 100K. At the start of this season we also sold Ashan Seifi for the same amount + 35% of profit of next sale. He was in the last year of his contract and didn't want to renew. He's valued between 3 and 6M now, so I'm just waiting to the option to sell the clause. Next season: With no CL to worry about, we can focus squarely on the league. I want to compete for the title next season, but our defence is so poor. We're still relying on our original players and their age is catching up with them. Unfortunately we're pretty talent poor at the back. As you can see we're very talented up front, okay in midfield, but very poor in midfield. Our two best rated CB's are not even CB's! They're central midfielders, who I'll start retraining to ball playing defenders. In goal I wanted to develop our Model Citizen, but he doesn't seem to cut it. Hojat Kazemian (Intake of 28) improved a lot from his loan spell, so he will start taking over from Reza Ahmadi. In midfield we see Ali Mohammadi immediately coming in as our 2nd best central midfielder. Salehi and Kiani are absolute gems on the wings or up front. Neo_Geo
THE JAZZ SURPRISE EVERYONE WITH PLAY-OFF PROMOTION Squad Overview Spoiler Youth Overview Spoiler More Youth DetailsYouth Intake PreviewYouth Intake Top 5 Season Review Spoiler First of all, I LOVE the lack of games in Finland compared to what I faced in Northern Ireland and given my work commitments this week I was still able to get the first season done. It was great season, we had been flying high in the league after an incredible start but faltered after the split and missed out on automatic promotion by a point. The play-offs were a surprise to say the least, scraped by with an extra time win over KPV and then went into the final against PEPO from the division above (I had played FC Inter in the cup and took them to penalties but I wasn't sure what to expect here). The first leg was away from home and we OBLITERATED them 6-1 before drawing 1-1 at home oddly (got to love the randomness of this game at times!). With promotion achieved the managing direction had this lovely bit of news for me: So it took several years to go professional in Northern Ireland and here it happens in under 12 months The squad has been pretty solid, I've opted for a cautious 4-3-3 DM Wide with inside forwards (or a winger when needs must) and have high pressing and high defensive line (seems counter intuitive with the cautious but it seemed to just click for me so if it isn't broken don't fix it right?) Unfortunately Söderlund wants to leave to play with better players and is now considering his options so I can't see any other outcome than him leaving the club at the end of the season. No point in selling him as I'll need him to score as many goals as he can to try and stay up and the money wouldn't really make much difference anyway. In the intake I had a star player in the form of Grönroos (Elite1) who played really well in the remaining fixtures of the season and is already playing as a first choice centreback for the U19s Finnish team at 16 years old. He's already the best centreback at the club which is just fantastic in the first intake. The other players coming through are pretty solid though with the news of Söderlund wanting to leave I didn't have any really promising looking strikers. I had to fight for the first coaching badge course but at the end of the season they approved the second course so that's now ticking along nicely. Next Season Aims Spoiler Attempt to stay in the top division Try to find my next best striker to replace Söderlund and get them game time as much as possible without impacting results Get key players on full time contracts Previous Season Summaries Appointment

Ron_Swanson
[FM22] SK Zestaponi - youth intake 2023 Another decent intake. The best talent Levan Bakradze has pretty low skills now but I'll give him a lot of minutes because he can be used as a right winger and since I still don't have any proper replacement for my oldies I need to create them on my own. Nice to see a Portuguese kid, he'll be really helpful in defensive rotation mainly at center. SuperRedditch
Profile I've started saves in England, Italy, Sweden, Denmark and Mexico in the last couple of days, trying to get back into FM after a few months break but couldn't settle (gotta get past that first season hump). My heart is set on retrying Redditch United in FM24, so I need something with quick seasons to tide me over. I've found a club I like though, in SWEDEN. I haven't managed here since the early CM days (Bakircioglu, Kallstrom etc). I also know two bits of Swedish, both of which would get me banned on this forum so I shan't repeat them.. The leaderboard is a distant impossibility - I'm never getting on that thing. I'm just here for the ride, baby. Kuncan
Back again for a bit more advice. I'm doing the challenge in Germany, and just got overly lucky in the 25/26 season with a playoff win for promotion to the Bundesliga. Now as 800-1 shots at winning the league it's going to be a rough season. I've been using a solid 5-2-2-1 formation that has served well, but now my aging wing-backs and slow lumps of CD are going to get destroyed. I was wondering if you guys change formations most seasons based on what players are coming through the youth rank? I have a lovely striker and a couple of cute midfielders but nothing of the top German league level. Would chucking all the good youths into the 1st team and hoping not to get the sack on relegation be the way forward?

I am no expert but managed to avoid relegation with Ricay (400:1) four years straight. I check on the squad-reports who are my best players an build a tactic that will play them in fav and complementing roles. This year I had a 424 counter-attack / counterpress running well because my best boys are strikers, fast, big and strong. I try to play straight into them. My playmaker is a decent chap that’s why I play him in the middle. After I put all the other players around.

I am average at best at creating tactics in FM, so I tend to find one I am happy with for each FM version then just roll the same tactic for all games. I tweak during some matches, but normally start the same tactic each match. I do have youth saves in mind, so the tactic will always cover lots of positions (I have a left an right variant for this reason) so each player in the intake will normally have at least one position in the tactic that they are at least accomplished in, often 2. I do set individual instructions at times and develop traits if they're not necessarily well suited to the role they're assigned, but normally don't change the role for the position as I get scared it will break the whole tactic. Not sure that's at all helpful 🙂

The class of 24 is now settled into the first team. Michael Eboh and Rhys Platt were our best scorers with 20 and 16 league goals. Williams-Bowers from 25 is our midfield dynamo with a respectable thread in the air (jump 17/ 1.97m height). Neil Cox from 25 is becoming a strong BPD and we have a youngster from 24 pushing between the sticks. Our best player, keeper Billy Johnson will not signb a new contract, some players are retiring and some legends won't get a new contract. Next Season we will dedicate one step further to youth. Sadly this years intake was without elite talents and I wonder if any of them will make it into first team. However our under 18s managed to write history stepping into the big boots of Arsenals invincible team losing only once in this years campaign and therefore claim victory in their competition. Tactically we developed a simple but powerful counter-attacking style, with direct passing to our big and strong front two. Shape is 424. In midseason we were challenging for the play offs and the Earl built a second formation, also 424, but with the intention to keep possession. Both worked very well for a long period but the form declined as we were approaching the end of season. "It's still a long, long way to go" ,said the Earl who was chased by better teams throughout the season. Spoiler Let's have a lock at the players who need to step up: Mathew Briggs: I like that he is dedicated to the team with a decent eye to play the killer ball from deep. Also he is our best set piece taker. Spoiler We'll try to reduce expenditure because we need to improve some of the facilities. Anybody got some suggestions?

Currently in 32-33, half the team wants to leave and the other half is too young, plus Jason Hart dislocated his shoulder and is out for two months, suffering is one way to put it But we randomly smash teams to keep our survival hopes alive, so I got that going for me.

Hope Jason will be alright after his injury. Fingers crossed that you stay up.

Not sure that's at all helpful 🙂 Thanks, all advice is good advice
Popular Post XaW
XaW - Beaconsfield Town - Season 2024/25 (Season 2) - Vanarama National League South Squad | Transfers | Finances A much improved season for us. Granted we are still conceding too much, but down from 105 to 82 is a clear improvement. We also scored 14 more goals this season, so overall a very good season compared to the last one. Actually having a squad helps, but it was really good after we got the youth intake this season! In fact, the end was rather amazing! These are the matches we played after the intake came around, so as you can see, I think the future looks good for us! The intake this season was very good, and we got in some much needed defenders! Also, it seems we have to make a small adjustment to our stadium to fit the requirements, at least it's not very expensive. FA Cup: We beat Swindon Supermarine and Brackley Town before we lost to Dulwich Hamlet in the 4th qualifying round.FA Trophy: We beat Hayes & Yeading United before we lost to Ebbsfleet Unite in the 3rd round. Around the world U18s They finished 13th in the National U18 League South West this season. Riebow
Oghab Tehran Season Review (30/31) League: Bolstered with last season's intake and no Champions League football to worry about I had good hopes for a good season. And what a season we had! We took advantage of an off season from Persepolis, winner of 6 of last 7 seasons, to storm to the top of the league. Our biggest competition came, surprisingly, from Paykan. We stayed cool and 3 games before the end of the season we lifted our first trophy. League winners! The table: Spoiler Cup: Not a great cup run, allowing us to focus even more on the league. Intake: Another intake with full of potential. Personalities are decent, but still not great. Also nice to see that not very common Iran-USA combo :-D. The talent: Mojtaba Peyrovani: 2,5 stars CA, but again that unambitious/Low Det combo.. Spoiler Majid Abedzadeh: wow, just the perfect striker, with great finising, pace, first touch, etc... He will go straight to the first team. Spoiler Mahmoud Karbalaei: I desperately need some defenders, although wing backs even more. I love his physicals and he'll get plenty of game time next season. Spoiler Transfers: We said goodbye to the first prospect to break into the first team and even made it to club captain. Al-Fayha (Saoudi-Arabia) came in with a bid and he was ready to go. We agreed on a 100K fee with a sell-on clause. Next Season: With the challenge half done, our focus will move to the CL. Tractor made it to the final last season, so it seems doable for a team out of Iran. We're at risk of losing our star player Gholam Hossein Salehi (Intake of 28) on a free at the current season. He refuses to sign a new contract. Hopefully the prospect of CL football changes his mind.
