mannojunior
Would be really grateful for some suggestions for a league/nation to do this in. Would prefer a league with less games (rules out Brazil) as I am a slow-ish player.
vikeologist
Vikeologist's Víkingur 2031 (very long, I'm sorry) Season Report I decided that the League Cup (which all happens before the regular season) didn’t matter much, and we were unlikely to reach the final again soon, so I put together a young team with potential to blood them, before maybe using the mediocre veteran players in the regular season. Reader, we won the cup. I stuck with the kids throughout the cup campaign, even though it meant leaving a couple of indisputably better players on the bench. So, now I had to stick with this lineup in the regular season, which is good news. I mean, them doing well is the best scenario. Winning the cup did nothing for us financially by the way. Dominating the league, we also reached the final of the Icelandic Cup, and the prospect of all that lovely continental money was within reach, but we lost in the final. The cup run meant that our schedule was crazy and our players exhausted. We lost 3 out of 4 league matches around the loss in the cup final, and the teams behind us caught up. 2 matches to go, and we were 3 points ahead of KR, and that penultimate match was away to them. We scored a goal in the final minutes of the match, but with injury time expired they were awarded a penalty. Our goalie saved it. It went out for a corner, and from that corner one of their guys swung a leg at it and it went in for the equaliser to deny us the title. Gutting! That still meant that we were 3 points ahead for the last match, but now with 2 teams behind us, one of them with a better goal difference. Those 2 teams, KR and Leiknir, played each other. All we needed was a draw, and we were ahead twice in the match, but as went into stoppage time we were 3-2 down and the wrong team Leiknir was winning their match. We threw everything at it, and scored an equaliser in stoppage time. We held on for the draw and were champions.I simply cannot express how stressful and how much a torrent of emotions those last 2 matches were. I need therapy now. However one cup, two cup finals and a league win means that it was a quite a good season in the end. Spoiler Squad The only envisaged change to my team next season is my latest top regen, 31a, maybe getting a space on the subs bench. The previous 5 years top prospects are now in the starting XI. A good right back would be nice. Top Goalscorer – Jón Árnason 27a – 23 I use a lone striker, and had a new starter this season. However, Jón Árnason 27a is not that striker. He’s my longstanding (well 4 seasons) attacking midfielder. My 17 year-old striker Vilhjálmur Gestsson 30a who came through a year ago did fine with 18 goals. Highest Average Rating (minimum 10 matches played) – Jón Árnason 27a – 7.48 Man of The Match – Jón Árnason 27a – 8 Most Valuable Player– Jón Árnason 27a Season Division Position Notes 2024 1 4th Icelandic Cup Q/F, Playoffs S/F. 2025 1 10th Survived on last day of the season. 2026 1 4th League Cup losing finalists. Playoffs S/F 2027 1 4th Playoff S/F 2028 1 5th Icelandic Cup. Qualified for Europa Conference. Lost in playoff final. 2029 1 5th Lost in playoff final. 2030 1 5th Lost in playoff S/F. 2031 1 1st league Cup, Icelandic Cup R/U, League champs and promoted. Update As our stadium doesn't meet premier league requirements, we have to build a new one, and temporarily relocate to another city. trouble is, we're on a peninsular, so It's probably not that far if you have a boat. No idea when we'll be able to build a new stadium. yet more news, the board have agreed to have an U10 team and improve junior Coaching even more. If you want very short, the Nordic leagues are what you are looking for ~30 league matches and a single cup in most countries. Other than that I always suggest Germany as you don't have to deal with semi-pro teams, as well as a very high level of youth players and not horribly many games (34). A few other fun countries are Hungary and Austria.
Riebow
Olot UE Season Review (40/41) League: Unbelievable, but in our 17th season at the helm of Olot UE we win our first silverware and it's La Liga! In what ended up being an off year for both Barcelona and Real, we were the surprise package. At the halfway mark we were 7 points behind Barcelona, with the likes of Real, Betis and Atletico all separated within two points. We were simply unstoppable past New Year, losing only one single league game, while Barcelona kept dropping points. With still four games to go, Barca dropped points again, giving us the chance to win the title in our game against Real Sociedad. It was a nervous affair, but season revelation Joan Miquel Sollivelles scored the only goal of the game (and got sent off), delivering our very first league title!! Spoiler Copa: We made it to the semi-finals, but lost to Atletico Madrid in a close affair Spoiler Europe Some mixed bag of results. We were knocked out by Napoli in the knock-out playoff stage Spoiler Youth Intake Some exciting prospects, but a bit disappointed with the personalities and the lack of different nationalities. Spoiler NXGN Another winner of the NXGN award. This time the honour went to Joan Ramon Rodriguez Vazquez, while Sebastian finished third for the 2nd straigt season. Spoiler Joan Ramon Rodriguez Vazquez(AMR/STC; Balanced) Spoiler Sebastian(DM/MC; Balanced) Spoiler Transfers Abdou Niang got upset because I rejected offers from Saudi-Arabia. To be fair to him, he could make about 5 times more over there. I then promised he could leave in the next transfer window, which he did to ... Betis. Suddenly he wasn't interested in the middle east no more. He was a good player, but a bit injuriy prone and on a position where we have some depth. Spoiler Best XI What I love in this save is that I have new players coming in the starting XI every season. Last year it was Antoni Barri. This year it was Joan Miquel Sollivelles. He started the season as a depth player, but simply played himself into our starting XI. Despite not that much playing time he was still somehow our leading goalscorer by New Year. He quickly became one of my favourite players: tall (1.94m) with great technicals and just playing incredibly most of the times. I started rotating my goal keepers with Robert Alsina seeming to win out, but he had a couple of major injuries, which resulted in Emili playing the majority of the games. Antoni Juvanteny remains our rock at the back and luckily for us pretty durable, because the drop-off behind him is pretty steep. In midfield we saw some young players breaking through in Sebastian and Joan Ramon Rodriguez Vazquez. Upfront we had the luxury of being able to rotate between Henry Ike, Jose Manuel and Robert Pujadas. Spoiler Joan Miquel Sollivelles(AMC/STC; Fairly Loyal) Spoiler 5 years ago... Speaking of the devil... It was 5 years ago when Joan Miquel Sollivelles came through our intake and he was billed as the best talent of the year. He really developed nicely and I never expected him to be such a gamechanger. We lost Sami Briand last season to AC Milan. Raimon Freixanet has spent the season on loan at Multivera in the Federacion 1. Emili Puigoriol is our starting left back and the first player of this intake to make into the first team. Oussama Elyounoussi had some nice development on loan and will be a squad player next season. Spoiler Next Season With the challenge 50% done there is only one more thing to do: winning the Champions League so that's where my focus will go to. I don't think we have the team yet to win it, but then again I also didn't believe I could win the title this season... Popular Post dkouv
Brora Rangers – Season 24 (2047/48) League/Europe I’ll cut to the chase, we made the CL final for the second consecutive year, but once again it was not to be, as we lost on penalties to Barcelona. So close!!!! Try again next year I guess. Domestically, another double. Players We have two truly world class players in the team now, DM Robbie Clark 15a and winger Andy Morton 17a, just look at these guys… Then the attack is generally good, the defence is generally poor, and is going to get even worse as my center backs are ageing and I forgot to renew the contract of my top defensive prospect who will be joining Celtic on a free next year. D’oh! Youth intake (preview) Another attack-minded intake with one promising winger who I’ll try to retrain into a full back. Facilities No upgrades. Transfers Nothing major. Popular Post komein svedu
Season 34 (2057/58). Wow. I finally did it after 2 months in real life and 8 days of total playing time. We also won our third league title to finish the challenge This is the set of lads that won it for us Next, I'll show some of the greatest Carl Zeiss Jena academy graduates throughout the 34 seasons. The first one is Davor Damjanovic, perhaps the best one of all time, with a total of 289 total goals (thus far) in his career for us. He was essential when we won the first league title when he was only 20. Next up, the first player to ever make the German national team from our academy, Muammar Serbest. He got us the promotion to the Bundesliga, but unfortunately there was a bigger fish and he left the squad to have a decent career Allow me to introduce you to Manfred Kretuzer. Our beloved goalkeeper who made the first team immediately after turning 16 and developed to become a world class goalie. Sadly he hasn't made many international appearances as the competition has always been immense. That doesn't devalue him at all in my eyes however. Then finally Ludwig Seipel. A very good winger who is the all-time runner-up goalscorer for FCC. I'm glad we managed to win the UCL before his rapid regression started. An amazing player overall. Then lastly, the final proof of no transfers in this season. This challenge truly has taken longer than it maybe should have, but now it's done and i can finally play FM freely. We'll see if/when I'll try this challenge again lmao.

CJ'43
Kavala Football Club / Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καβάλα Season 20 - 2043/44 Schedule / Squad / Transfers / Finances / Manager Season Summary: History was made! Kavala won their first-ever Greek title. We had a disappointing campaign in the first half of the championship, finishing 5th in the regular phase and 10 points away from PAOK. I didn't have any high expectations for the championship phase; however, we had our best campaign so far, winning 8 of the 10 matches and reaching the top of the league with two games to go. On the last day of the season, we faced PAOK away with one point in hand over Olympiacos. We lost our game, but even more surprisingly, Volos won against the 61-time Greek champions, giving us our first title in history and being the team that became champions with fewer points. In the cup, we defeated Anagennisi Karditsas in the sixth round and AEK in the quarter-finals, only to be eliminated by Asteras Tripolis in the semis with a 2-0 aggregate. Asteras Tripolis, who didn't make it to the championship group in the league, also ended up losing the final to PAOK, as well as losing the Conference League final to Villarreal. In our debut in the Champions League group phase, we had a pretty decent run, defeating Atlético de Madrid and Rennes, and managing to draw against Benfica, Athletic Bilbao, AC Milan, and PSV, with only two losses to Arsenal and Dortmund. We finished 18th, only to lose against Liverpool in the knockouts with a 5-1 aggregate. Our senior affiliated club FC Porto ended up winning the competition, defeating Real Madrid at the Bernabéu. After losing Nikos Prountzos 39b to Al-Ahli for 16 million (possible 21), the main star this season was Christos Omiridis, the top goalscorer in the league with 23 goals and also elected as the best Greek player in the Super League. With his performances, he was able to accumulate an average rating of 7.11, being our most consistent player. Tryfonas Synodinos won the Talent of the Year award for the best young player in the league, and Nikos Tsokaktsidis was the 3rd best goalkeeper. With our performances, we were able to have seven players selected for the league's Best XI. I won the Manager of the Year award for the fourth time. Dimitris Tsoktouridis 42c was between the 100 most primising wonderkids, in NXGN's 28th place. Youth intake: A few elite players came from this year's intake, such as Petros Klokidis 44a, Giotis Toursounidis 44b, Zviad Tkemaladze 44c and Giorgos Chalastanis 44d. Not only was this year historic for our first team, but also for our U19s, who became champions of Greece for the eleventh consecutive time and won the UEFA Youth League in their first-ever participation, with some impressive results (yeah, nah, AI is not broken at all... ). chsot68
2029/2030, Season 6: Promotion!!! We won the VNN!! This first promotion feels pretty good! The season included a 28-match unbeaten run. Things started looking a little dicey in March, but we pulled out 4 straight wins in April to drive the final nail. Won manager of the season, and our young Striker won POY. Spoiler The youth intake was really good this year too. I'm excited about quite a few of the prospects. Spoiler Finances are looking really solid as well after we sold a $365k sell-on clause. I'm hoping that after another one or two of those we can go professional. No facility upgrades recently, but we are turning out some really good prospects and I think going pro is a priority right now in order to compete in the VNL. Spoiler Looking forward to checking in after the next season, our first in the VNL. I have good hopes we will stay up. Would hate to regress. Thanks for reading! -R

Popular Post XaW
XaW - Follo FK - Season 2024 (Season 1) - PostNord-ligaen Avdeling 2 Squad | Transfers | Finances Well, you can't say I don't enjoy being back home. We got promoted with games to spare. Mostly thanks to my striker Håvard Dalseth who scored an amazing 34 goals in 25 league matches! The squad overall is quite decent for this level, but I think the next step is going to be a big one, as there are many fully professional sides there. We are of course still semi-pro, and we don't have much money, so I can't see this changing any time soon. The goal for the next few seasons is just to stay up while hopefully get in some talented players. Onwards! Norgesmesterskapet: We had a good run, even if we had some easy draws. We beat Fram Larvik, Gneist, Rana, and Arendal before we lost to top flight team Start after holding them to a draw until it went to pens. I also managed to get a couple of improvements accepted this season. Also, the board had to install under-soil heating due to league requirements. That will work wonders for our financial situation... 2nd team They only played friendlies this season U19s They won Oslo Kretsserie this season and then beat Alta and Mjøndalen to get promoted into the top youth league! libbyshuss
Lyra Lierse - Belgium Jupiler Pro League - 2041/42 After two appalling games to start the season I decided to change formation - and we went on a run of ten wins out of twelve! We couldn't quite maintain that pace but we did enough to qualify for the Champions Stage. We were too far behind Anderlecht to challenge for the title but we managed to win 6 out of the 10 gamnes to finish 3rd and qualify for the Europa League Players The new formation was partly to fit my golden generation from 2039 in. For one game I had SIX graduates from 2039 playing! it was great The only issue with this formation was up front. I just couldn't get anyone firing consistently up there, and Adam Vanderheede 30C, our crazy consistent player, had nowhere where he really fitted in. So, work in progress! Wonderkids We got one more! We also had to sell one Youth Another cracking preview and intake! Maybe not as good as 2039 but really not far off. Six elite talents is crazy good really. Winski
IFK Malmö FK Well, here we go again! It's a long time since my last attempt here. I had a great (youth only) journeyman-save since then, but after the Winter Update I got the itch to try a youth only save again. My first FM24-save was with IFK Lidingo in Sweden. I had a great time in Sweden, so I'll give it another go in that country. As the 2024 season almost starts in real life, I holidayed until the start of season 2025. I chose IFK Malmö FK, who relegated in real life in season 2023. Some history about the club, from Wikipedia: Quote History The club was founded in 1899, making it the oldest football club in the city of Malmö. They participated in the first season of Allsvenskan in 1924/25. The club has altogether played 13 seasons in the premier division, in 1960 IFK finished second. In 1961, they made it to the quarter-finals of the European Cup (losing to Rapid Vienna). Before the 2009 season, the club switched their home stadium from Malmö IP to Malmö Stadion. Historically, the club's main rivals are Malmö FF, although this rivalry has been toned down since the two clubs have not played in the same division for nearly 60 years. The club is affiliated with the Skånes Fotbollförbund.[5] So it's the oldest club from Malmö, and even participated on the higest level of Sweden for several seasons. They even played European football, although it's a long time ago. Their home stadium is Malmö Stadium, a very big stadium with a capacity of 26.500(!) (or 27.500, according to FM). Let's go!
ajancsiii
Békéscsaba Előre 1912 Season 6 2029/2030 Competitions: I think we can now regularly win the OTP Bank League. The European Champions Leage was close, we lost on penalties against Celtic in the Play off round. After that, in the Europe League, we more than achieved the 1 point we achieved last year, we advanced from the league phase, but then, unfortunately, Wolfsburg proved to be too big a challenge. Squad: Youth intake: Elite talents: Transfers: Things worth mentioning: Highest transfer fee received Facilities
Winski
Oh, and for people who want to try this challenge in Finland: the league structure has changed from Season 2024. There is a complete new league added, so that means that there are now three playable leagues in Finland( instead of 2). So if you want to play in Finland, you'll start a division lower.

Winski
IFK Malmö Season 1 | 2025 Tier 4 |Division 2 Södra Götaland Finances| Transfers| Club Overview | Affiliates| Squad overview |Tactic| Facilities| Manager Profile My first season, and it was a good one. We became champions of Division 2 Södra Götaland, so we are promoted to Tier 3! I had a small squad, with only 18 players to chose from. But some of them were really good this season! My striker Edgar Navassardian for example. He scored 32 goals in 23 matches! And he's only 21 years old, so hopefully he can even improve a bit. And what about midfielder Passi Prudence; he really bossed our midfield with his 199cm tall body. I'm really happy about this season! Youth preview & intake Ouch...this preview is.... not good. But hey, what can I expect with such limited facilities? The intake itself was also not a good one. No Elite players, only 3 Top Talents. But I'm just really happy with 16 extra players at the club. Let's hope that some of them will develop into, at least, squad players. Spoiler U19's They didn't play any league games this season. Facilities Upgrades Our first upgrades of the save! The facilities at this club are very, very basic. If you compare that to our very big stadium... the contrast cannot be any bigger. So I'm happy with these first upgrades. I think that our next 2 of 3 intakes will still be quite bad, but that's just how it is. glennuk
Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg - Season 16 - Japan J2 League - End of Season Review League We had a poor second half of the season, and what seemed to be a season of pushing the playoffs, ended up being a season of mediocrity. Disappointing! The Squad We kept a relatively similar starting lineup to last year, with the biggest change being that our starting two strikers are new in their roles with Masami Asano (YP11B) and Masafumi Nagata (YP13B) being the new attacking threats. Both could do with scoring more goals, but they are still young. Finances We lost money this year, but part of that almost 2 million loss, was the 1.8 million we spent on upgrading the Training Ground. Nothing too concerning here, but getting a promotion sooner rather than late would be beneficial, especially as my top players keep demanding more and more in terms of wages. Facilities We have great facilities in general, but NEVER have the option of upgrading our Youth Facilities, which seriously limits our success in the challenge. Youth Intake We were promised good full backs and a striker and the intake provided one of each, as well as a few other decent looking youngsters. I signed all tagged. Top 3 - Youth Intake 16 Kunihiro Kobayashi (YP16A) A good looking prospect up top. We seem to be getting quite a lot of attacking talent recently. I do have some hopes for this one, very good finishing for his age and okay physicals. His composure is an area of concern and one I hope to address in individual training. Tatsuya Yamaguchi (YP16B) I love the personality, love the passing ability and the fact I see quite a few important attributes in the early teens. At 15 he has some work to do, but has a huge amount of promise and the personality to reach out. Could be in the midfield sooner rather than later. Takeshi Kaneda (YP16D) - somehow I forgot to take a screenshot of the C player. A quick young winger who desperately needs to improve his passing if he is going to make the first team. The physicals are promising, but this one is less likely to make the first team without significant improvement.

Natha29
So I've been lurking for a while and I finally decided to start this insanity of a challenge. Without further to do, let's meet the cast. Team: Seeing that Romania was not yet done I decided to attempt to go for it. Did the research and 2 teams popped up. ACS Foresta Suceava as they seem to get about half a million euros per year from the local council and ACS Kids Tâmpa Braşov which from some reasons have 12 youth coaching and facilities, 15 recruitment and 20 in importance. I've picked the green-yellows solely because of the financial aspect, this way I should not have any kind of money issue until I become an established Liga1 team (for some reasons teams in Romania do not get any kind of TV money the first season they are in). Spoiler Manager: only correct name I could think off Spoiler Save setup to prove things: Spoiler Transfers: Spoiler Team unmanageble: (to be fair the ai did a meh/10 job, nothing to write home about) Team is manageble, start of season: Also, @darren1983, you can add some dates for Romania: 3rd league is view only but unplayable (hope this does not invalidate the challenge) so a lot of savescumming can be done to make sure the team you want gets promoted Regular season ends 30/31 of March A champions playoff is played in April and May Then winner and 2nd place in each champ playoff group get to play semis-final(2 legs each) which decides the 5 teams to get promoted. Semis were 29/05 and 01/06 and the final was 07/06 and 12/06. Why is everything in Romania's pyramid so complicated?! Fat Controller
Season Review 2028/29 (Season 5) NK Kustošija Zagreb Supersport HNL (Tier 1) A very disappointing season ended in relief for us as we beat Lokomotiva at home 2-0 in the final match of the season to leap frog them into 9th position and stay up. We probably didn't deserve to stay up, but I'll take it. Hopefully this is the wake up call we needed and not the beginning of the end for this save. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler We managed to get an upgrade to both our youth and training facilities so the year wasn't a total waste. I also finished my Continental B coaching badge To add insult to injury, the board went and sold our best player Transfers
glennuk
Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg - Season 17 - Japan J2 League - Mid Season Review League We made a storming start to the season and actually spent most of the first half of the season in the top spot. A recent mini blip (two losses in a row) has seen us fall to 2nd. However we still have a comfortable gap between us and 7th and our aim is surely at least a playoff spot at this rate. First Ever - 'Late Developer' A first for me so I thought would include. One of our players is now a 'Late Developer'. I know it is new for FM in general, but it was nice to see, even if he is on his way out of the club (and currently out on loan). Regrets We previously sold Masahiko Iwanga (YP10H) and now he has been sold on again. My scouts also rate him as a Leading Japan J1 League player The only good here is it is a nice chunk of change which should help with our finances dipping a bit further into the red each season. Youth Intake Preview A decent preview, but nothing spectacular (although as usual it states it will be a Golden Generation). More than anything we could do with midfielders, so hopefully the wingers are good, but nice to see 2 ML, 2 MC and 2 MR across the middle there.

XaW
XaW - Follo FK - Season 2024 (Season 2) - OBOS-ligaen Squad | Transfers | Finances We had a surprisingly good season in the higher tier this season, but we are clearly struggling against the big teams if I can't field my best 11. No team really whooped us this season, but we got overrun by the better sides at times. Still, we were top for a while after an excellent start to the eason, but a poor period around the short summer break saw us only win 2 in 10 matches there to drop us off a bit. Towards the latter part we found some form again and had an outside shot at the 2nd place going into the final match. Beating Vålerenga away was hard enough, but if we did it by 2 goals AND Stabæk didn't win by more, we would have had it locked in. We didn't though, as Vålerenga beat us 2-1 and secured their promotion. We did go into the playoff though, and got a bye in the quarter final. In the semis, we comfortably beat Mjøndalen at home. The final was a close match against Stabæk, but a single goal was enough to put us through to the playoff against the 3rd lowest team in the top flight. That turned out to be Sandefjord. We held them to a 1-1 away in the first leg, and it looked even in the rematch until my best defender got a 2nd yellow card. With a man down, we couldn't contain them, and two late goals ended our dreams for the season. Still, an amazing first try, and I hope we can keep it up next season. Best youth players: Mads Fredrik Blåsternes 25a is an excellent defender, albeit his physical attributes needs more work. He is still our 3rd choice centreback. Haakon Alexander Unwin 25g has emerged as our 2nd choice left back, mostly due to lack of options, but it does lead to him playing a bit. Øivind Karoliussen 24b has low finishing, but has a lot of other things about him I like, and he can play both midfield and attack. Norgesmesterskapet: We beat Ready and Ullern before we lost to KFUM Oslo in the 3rd round. No new improvements accepted this season, unfortunately. 2nd team They only played friendlies this season U19s They were promoted last season, but the top youth league was a bit much for them, to back down they went. Norgesmesterskapet G19: They beat Fredrikstad and Kjelsås before they lost to Gjelleråsen in the 3rd round. Popular Post libbyshuss
Lyra Lierse - Belgium jupiler Pro League - 2042/43 An almost amazing season. We were great, challenging for the title right up until February, when we went on an awful run winning only one of the last seven games. Enough to qualify us for the Champions group, but no enough to challenge the title We regained some form in the champions grouo, even beating Club Brugge 4-0, but we just couldn't do enough to get into the Champions League slot. Another Europa League campaign it is! Europa League was fun, right up until we got Club Brugge who took advantage of our poor run of league form to batter us. We did get revenge in the champions group though Youth Another great preview and potential intake! I love Belgium's youth intakes! The future is looking very bright, so long as the board doesn't do anything stupid.... Wonderkids he wants to leave us sadly.... but he is on a very long contract so we'll see Career I'm in a good position at the minute. Is a Belgium completion possible? it's still a way off it is. Looks like such a good all rounder in midfield there. I do realise how slow the progress is with Tranent when I read your updates I'm blessed with a squad full of players that are like just under that Clark/Morton band of players, but can't seem to get any over that line and those that do ask for minimum fee release clauses.
