Popular Post naterr
Tony Pizza at Kerala United FC - Go Hornbills! - Season 14 Preseason Cup We started the year off strong, all the games were relatively easy and we manage to win our first Durand Cup (which is our 6th since we started this) Spoiler Comfortable 3-0 win in the end. Mumbai aren't the same team they were about 5 years ago. Youth Intake I was very happy with this years intake - not because of how good they were but because we finally had a Non-Indian in the intake, and he is beautiful! Valentini Spoiler When I first saw the players come through I almost did a little wee when the San Marino flag popped up. I actually thought my manager guy had a son in the game. I've never had one before and I have always wanted it to happen. Super league Our form dropped in the league this year, finishing in fourth and no were near the top 2. We also crash out of the playoffs in the Semi final without much threat of getting through - Our two year run as champions is over and Kolkata are back up there. I think I am back into the champions league for next year but I am not sure...I really hope so! Champions League Much better this year, which makes up for the poor league form. We get out of the group with 4 wins out of 6. Al-Wahda were so much better than us, but we had great results against the other two teams. We managed to get all the way to the quarter final via a bit of luck. it is getting closer!!!! Super Cup Another Semi Final but no more, Kolkata again! Gurung again is the standout player. I was expecting to see more interest in him but nothing yet. He is currently annoyed at me as he wants to move to a bigger club, but no clubs are interested, also the team are annoyed I won't let him leave....even though no one has shown interest in him going?
Colg
Has anyone ever got close to completing the challenge in Northern Ireland? I am starting to think it is impossible given the league rep and possibly nation youth rating. I've been playing a Youth Only challenge with Queens University on FM23 (whilst not exactly following the rules of this challenge - I allow myself to resign youth products who have moved to other clubs) currently in 2045 and I am still light years away from even qualifying for the Champions League. The league is dominated by Larne and Linfield, Larne even had a perfect season this year, winning EVERY SINGLE GAME... The Quality of youth intakes doesn't seem to be improving massively which I suspect is due to the league rep/nation youth rating but I am really interested to see what the furthest someone has got in Northern Ireland. I have had some relative success over the years including a Conference League Semi-Final, Quarter Final and a Europa League RO16 run, this has allowed me to upgrade Training Facilities to State of the Art whilst Youth Facilities seem to be capped at Good. Both Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment are maxed out. Popular Post CJ'43
Kavala Football Club / Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καβάλα Season 29 - 2052/53 Schedule / Squad / Transfers / Finances / Manager Season summary: This season was a disappointment, marking our worst performance in the league over the past eight years. We finished 6th in the regular season and managed to win only one game in the championship phase, resulting in no Champions League football for Kavala next season. This is a significant setback in our objectives. However, we found success in the Greek Cup, securing our second trophy in this competition. We defeated Levadeiakos, Panathinaikos, and Asteras Tripolis, and triumphed over AEK in the final. In the Champions League, we delivered a respectable performance. We defeated Leipzig, Shakhtar, and Juventus, and drew against Barça, Atalanta, and Anderlecht, qualifying for the playoff rounds. We once again overcame Leipzig but were eliminated by Liverpool in the Round of 16. For the fifth time, we couldn't progress past this phase. The season concluded with an unexpected qualification for the FIFA Club World Cup, the second in our history. We defeated River Plate in the first game of the group stage, drew against Yokohama in the second match, and secured first place by beating Ajax. In the second round, we delivered a brilliant performance against Palmeiras, winning 5-1. Unfortunately, we were eventually eliminated by Chelsea in the quarter-finals. Despite taking the lead, the Blues managed to recover and win the game. Babis Tasiopoulos 45e was our top goalscorer and Marios Thraskias 43d was once again our most regular player. Youth intake: was quite promising, yielding an elite player this year: Thodoris Kontaxis. Additionally, this year marks the 20th consecutive title for our U19s in the Greek league. dkouv
Poole Town – Season 4 (2027/28) Vanarama South We were back to our best and had no mid-season slump for a change, sealing the title and promotion on the final day with an impressive 105 points. Cups We did great reaching the 3rd round of the FA cup, where we hit the jackpot with an away tie at Liverpool that added almost £800k to the coffers. Players The melted players are gone and the youth is slowly improving, I think the key reason behind our success was last intake’s David Taylor 03a (DC) who turned our defense from terrible to decent. Our attack has been pretty good throughout, and even better this year with the emergence of Sean Young 02b (AMC/ST) who scored 16 and assisted 12 from the AMC and Striker positions. Youth intake (preview): A good looking intake with 4 elite talents (two of them are goalies though, my most well stocked position), and decent personalities. Facilities We went to town after the Liverpool FA cup tie, improving both training and youth facilities, and upgrading coaching and recruitment. The guy who posted below you is in his 145th season, and that is in England where they have a much higher youth rating than Northern Ireland. I would say Northern Ireland has got to be one of the hardest in Europe, and Europe in general will be harder as most clubs have a lot of money. which is why I went into Asia to try it! If you decide to move on from your team don't be disheartened, many players have failed this challenge.

I thought you were finally turning a corner. I'm no expert at this but some advice on keeping players. 1) Long contracts (Optional club extension to add extra three years.), renew them once they go under three years. Don't give them new contracts until you're able to activate the extention. 2). No release clauses (as much as possible), remove and exclude them if possible, if they're locked in negotiate to the highest possible fee and put expiry dates on them. 3) Before players reach their prime and start becoming influential is when you time them down for their peak years. Loan them out till 19 even if they're good enough to play for you so don't become too influential too early, that way they still respect you and listen to you in negotiations. (I've had players sack their agents because they try to lock in release clauses and I've refused such contracts.) 4) Your B-tier players are your stars. A-tier players usually leave sooner or later, I try to focus on 4-4.5 star players with really good personalities and try to get a good bunch of them around the same age to develop together and be the core of my team. 5) I build my teams in generations and plan for the future. Take a three year age range and try to build an entire squad from that with your high potential youngsters. Say 15-18 for example, plug holes by retraining positions if you have two players in the same position. I focus on heavily on the entire squads development and bring them in once they turn 19/20. Even if they're replacing a four star player, If they have potential to be better than him and his too far from that generation he's out. I found this way we take leaps every 5 years or so to next level of talent as a squad. You're intakes are already so amazing, the potential is there for a premier league squad. You just have to tap it and keep them. Keep pushing, I'm rooting for you. Hope this helps. I'm usually a lurker and never post but your resilience is so inspiring. I'm Hitchin town in 2064. Neo_Geo
Can I just say of my dislike for Robbie Savage as the owner of Macclesfield (though it probably just extends to chairpersons/owners in general in the game and more specifically the coding/logic around the reasons and discussions when making requests) SIX times he has now refused to sanction my coaching course with just the one time the other way. The initial rejection comes is as "Whilst we appreciate that it's a very valid thing to want to do, we fear that bettering yourself could lead to a bigger club coming in for your services. We're therefore inclined to say no" So I discuss it and I'd love at this point to have options like: Give ultimatum of approving it or I resign I'll sign a new contract with full percentage compensation I want to be hear for the long term, ask you to trust me However I get one option: "I'd like to further my development by going on a coaching course please" That is really weak, I want to be more forceful on this matter especially when the other coaches are getting their courses approved. So I choose the only option and the response contradicts the initial rejection: "We don't believe that it would be beneficial for you to undertake a course right now. That concludes this meeting. In future, please do not waste our time with things like this." Makes zero sense: its a valid thing to do & we fear of losing you -> no benefit to you & stop wasting our time. But you better believe I'll be wasting their time when it next becomes available Edited July 14 by Neo_Geo
Popular Post fries
Premier League 2039/40 (season 16) Season Summary A very great season. The best so far. Something clicked and we managed to qualify for the Champions League in the end. We did not start very well. But later we had long periods in good form. For example, we won every game in November and we did not lose a game in both January and February. Thus, we managed to get the highest position ever and the highest number of points in the Premier League. 2 positions better and 13 more points than last season. In the Europe League, we got through the league phase but lost to Celta Vigo in the round of 16. Burton had a great season. One of the reasons why we had success. He managed to score 16 and assist 13 goals. Primarily from the position just behind the front striker. Harewood had a great season on the right wing with 19 goals. Jamerson did well as my front striker with 17 goals. O'Halloran did very as a fullback with 10 assists and 5 goals. Williams had his breakthrough with 11 goals and 6 assists but ended his season early with an injury. Here is Burton. He won the Footballer of the Year in England and the Players' Player of the Year. I had 2 players on the NXGN list. Williams and Flynn. My two greatest and most promising talents with lots of game time. I do not understand why Panayotov and Francis was not on the list. The youth intake preview was great. 5 stars, two As, and two Bs. The actual intake was disappointing given the great preview. 1 elite talent, Webster, but "only" 4.5 stars. Hopefully Schaarup, Egbe, and Winther can step up too. Webster can hopefully develop into a great full back. I had no transfers of significance this season, only some loan-outs. Finances and Upgrades After the season the training facilities downgraded but the board quickly accepted to upgrade again. Next season Next season, I would be very happy if we repeat this season's results. But the Champions League is another challenge
Thebaker
2027 Had a lot of crashes and BSOD recently and i seem to have lost the screenshots for this season. I could have just put up last seasons as there is little change with the team finishing in mid table without troubling promotion or relegation unduly, could not score enough although had the best defence with 29 conceded. Characterized by conceding 13 penalties and hitting the woodwork 21 times in the 26 games. Not entered in the Swedish cup. Finances stayed pretty stable, the youth intake was reasonable with a lot of 5 star potential but no standout players. Keymer and Lai were the standout players on the pitch even if not close to having the best ability. 2028 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season really badly and was struggling in the bottom 3 teams, at halfway the team had conceded the same as in the whole of the previous season and created less than half the number of chances of the next worst team. Tweaked the tactics for the 2nd half of the season which improved the results and general play from the team to avoid relegation. Still not entered in the Swedish cup, i think the club rep is too low. Finances stayed the same. Keymer was the top scorer and is close to being the club record scorer. Lai also played well again after missing 3 months of the season. Warmlov left after 79 apps with 8 goals. The preview was again promising, the intake itself was my best yet as some of the players had better CA and there were a lot of good personalities. Mustafa looks good although i already have 4 decent LB at that level or better. Norden and Johansson were the other 2 decent players. Popular Post Riebow
KSV Oudenaarde Season Review (34/35) League Our best season to date. We finished 4rd in the league phase and qualified for the championship group. We only won one game and drew twice, but it was enough to finish 5th and the chance to play for European Football in a play-off game. We were able to keep AA Gent behind us for the 5th spot. An insane game against Westerlo for European football. They equalized in the 94th minute to take the game to overtime. They scored again on a corner in the 99th minute and then pandemonium struck. Up and coming star Emmanuël Decorte scored twice in the 118 and 120th minute to take us up and over Westerlo! Croky Cup A very bad cup run; ending after only 2 games. Spoiler Youth Intake Our HOYD is on a roll, delivering another 9 elite talents. Personalities are a bit of a mixed bag this time. Star of the intake is Kamal Nekkache, who arrives with already 3 stars CA. Spoiler Kamal Nekkache (DM/MC/AMC; Fairly Ambitious) He's the real deal. According to the excel algorithms he's already my best central midfielder. Technique, Teamwork, Work Rate,... Just a very well rounded player. Spoiler Transfers Here's where things are going haywire. We're running on a negative transfer balance, which means that every transfer window our board is taking over transfers, doing stupid stuff. Reluctantly I decide to sell the clause for our former wonderkid Jacques Schrauwen for 5.71M which should take care of the transfer balance. However, only a couple weeks later the transfer balance is back in the red... Spoiler We sold our potental future starting goalkeeper to Club Brugge for 1.8M, but worse we lost two huge prospects on a free at the end of their contract: Jayson Steyaert to Genk and Jean-Luc Verelst to Molenbeek. Especially Verelst hurts as he's a 3.5 stars CA players. Other transfers: Spoiler Facilities Our training facilities downgraded, even though we only upgraded them 2 seasons ago. We've upgraded them twice this season to Good. Spoiler Spoiler NXGN Numbers 2 and 3 on the NXGN-list are two of my strikers with Simone Cortinovis and Emmanuël Decorte. Spoiler Simone Cortinovis(AML/STC; Balanced) He didn't show as much improvement this season, so I worry he might already have reached his ceiling. Spoiler Emmanuël Decorte(AMR/STC; Spirited) He scored 13 goals in his first season as our main striker. Really excited about his potential. Spoiler 5 years ago... The two standout players from this intake delivered. Gramoz Camaj became our starting goalkeeper almost immediately. But the real star was Jacques Schrauwen. I had to sell him for 7.5M to PSG and sold his clause for 5.7, so I've gotten 13.2M our of him, which is not bad at this point in the save. He's still at PSG, but because the AI is so bad at developing players he's stuck in their B team. He did make his first appearance for PSG this season. Other players: - Ange Fofana: is at KRC Gent in the 3rd tier - Marvin Shabani: is no longer in the game - Jente Nicolay: Had some playing time, but is at KV Oostende at the moment - Bas Didier: is at Excelsior Zedelgem in the provincial leagues - William Reinertz: his contract is expiring and will be let go - Philippe Briers: had a good season on loan in the 3rd tier, but is not improving enough to keep - Rémi Vermeeren: is playing for Jong Lede in the provincial leagues - Yasin Ortmann: is playing for Eendracht Termien in the provincial leagues - Cardo Ilunga: Is playing for Belisia Bilsen in 2nd amateur (4rd tier) - Yoann Kramer: is at Excelsior Zedelgem in the provincial leagues - Nuno Fernandes: is at Paredes in the Portuguese lower leagues - Salaheddine Boughanem: is no longer in the game - Valentin Nita: is no longer in the game - Andries Paquay: is no longer in the game Spoiler Next season: Europe, baby! Popular Post dkouv
Poole Town – Season 5 (2028/29) Vanarama National. We were way below the required level for the VNL, and deservedly got relegated conceding around 100 goals in the process. To be honest given the level of our squad it was to be expected, but now the problem is that half my players (all the good ones basically) want to leave even though they are only rated as Vanarama South standard themselves... Maybe that promotion came a bit too early, but we go again next year. Youth intake (preview): A talented intake with a very promising striker prospect Tom Grant 05a, but poor personalities again, maybe I need a new HOYD. Popular Post CJ'43
Kavala Football Club / Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καβάλα Season 30 - 2053/54 Schedule / Squad / Transfers / Manager Season summary: this season, we saw an improved performance in the league compared to last year. We managed to stay in the top-4 during the regular season, finishing with a 7-point disadvantage to the leader, Asteras. Although we didn't perform well in the championship phase, we still secured 4th place, guaranteeing a spot in the Champions League playoffs next season. This season also marks the first-ever title for Asteras Tripolis, managed by our former player Amir Hoxha, 29e. In the cup, we faced a disappointing elimination against Levadeiakos, a team from the league below us. This was our earliest exit from the competition in 20 years. In the Europa League, we had a decent group phase, with wins against favorites Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao, and Benfica, as well as an 8-1 victory against Marseille. We finished top of the group but narrowly lost to Juventus in the Round of 16 with a 3-2 aggregate. This campaign was somewhat disappointing, especially considering we won the competition 8 years ago. Ilias Giannikoglou, 47b, was our most productive striker with 21 goals, while Marios Thraskias, 43d, was once again our most consistent player and was included in the league's Best XI. The right-back was also named the best Greek player in the Super League, with Giorgos Terzis, 45h, finishing in second place. Christos Angelidis, 51a, placed 8th in the NXGN ranking. Kavala will be represented in the Greek squad for the 2054 World Cup by seven players: Vasilis Papadopoulos, 47c, Olsi Istrefi, 47a, Giorgos Tsakirellis, 43l, Christos Angelidis, 51a, Ilias Bedrelis, 45f, Babis Tasiopoulos, 45e, and Ilias Giannikoglou, 47b, as well as our former player, Nikos Prountzos, 39b. Youth intake: pretty decent this year, with two promising players, the Brazilian Pierre and Spyros Tangalakis, but in general those players are showing strong defensive quality, our most needed area. Popular Post darren1983
Dulwich Hamlet League One Season 2032/33 Review League - We started the season slowly with only 1 win in our opening 5 games but we played well in those so I was confident we'd be OK. We then just clicked as we won 9 of our next 11 to put us in the top 2. It couldn't last and it didn't as first Swansea and then Charlton ran away with the top two spots. However we hung in there all season and never dropped out of the top 6 once we got in there (maybe once when he had a game or 2 in hand we dropped to 7th now I think about it) we ended the season in good form (6-0 win over Stockport on final day) meant we ended the season in an incredible 4th place and that meant the play offs. First up was a Notts County side that took 4 points off of us in the league and who we never even scored a goal against this season. In the first leg we were excellent as we held a 2 goal lead with 15 minutes to go. 12 minutes later and it was 2-2 as they came at us hard but a scrabbled goal from a corner in the 93rd minute gave us the win. The home league was tough as they outplayed us but our keeper made save after save and a 87th minute goal from Aaron Greene 26A (who missed the opening 3 months of the season with injury but still ended on 17 goals) put us in the final against London rivals Millwall. We'd each won our home game in the league this season but we did beat them in the EFL trophy so it was a slight advantage to us. We again came out the blocks very slow (I wonder if this is young player/nerves thing with us) and dominated the first half and took the lead just after the 30 minute mark. A couple of HT subs and me getting shouty shouty at the team and we woke up, a great solo goal by Hamilton 27B drew us level and with just over 20 mins to go Hamilton provided a lovely cross for Crane to score what turned out to be the winner and somehow we were going up! FA Cup - Made it the 3rd round again but still no big tie. Championship QPR beat us but it was harsh as we lead 2-1 and down a man at the 90 minute mark but lost the game 302 League Cup - Finally won a game in this and then promptly got knocked out by Premier League Brighton EFL Trophy - Also finally won a game in this, and then some. I stopped messing about with tactics but still rotated a fair bit and we found ourselves making it all the way to the final where a goal from Aaron Greene 26A right on HT was enough to win us the trophy Transfers - Loans really but 2 or 3 of them did enough to be first team players next season Squad - Punching way above their ability now. We ended up spreading the goals around as we had the 3rd best attack. Special mention to Paul Crane with 17 league goals (20 overall) from DM/B2B. Yes he took and scored 7 pens but he just kept popping up with goals all season. He'll never have a season like that again Youth Intake - The preview had me hopeful but the reality was OK? A few too many of the better players play in same positions which is annoying Dave Reay 33A - feel he's way more of a wide option then the ST my coaches think Edon Carvell 33B - another option to play wide right Levi Byrne-Hewitt 33C - with his physicals and his height I don't see him being anything other and a AMC really. We don't play with one but I don't have a couple other formations I sometimes us which do use one so we'll see Anthony McManusD - poor personality sadly but with time could be a decent ST Career Overview Season League Position Junior Coaching Youth Recruitment Notes 2024/25 VNLS 1st Good Average Promotion, Manager of the year 2025/26 VNL 10th Good Above Average First coaching badge 2026/27 VNL 2nd Good Above Average Promotion via playoffs, Manager of the season, second coaching badge 2027/28 L2 10th Adequate Above Average 3rd coaching badge 2028/29 L2 12th Good Above Average Continental C Licence obtained 2029/30 L2 15th Good Good Continental B Licence Obtained. I feel like that it's going to be a long time in the Championship which is good though, we need to start building facilities to now match where we are and that takes time and money so a few years surviving here is probably what we need. This was also what I was thinking going into this season and that turned out very different but this a a huge step up. Our wage budget is 60k a week (I'm only spending like 28K right now) so most players we play against at this level will be on more than what we spend
Popular Post libbyshuss
Austria - 2041/42 - Premier League Wels Lose Best Player in £68m Transfer, Have Best Season and Qualify for Champions League! So, yeah, during summer Arsenal came and offered a measly £35m for Stefan Wifling, so I thought I'd call their bluff. I asked for £54m rising to £68m plus 50% future sell on fee. They accepted and the chairman took the decision out of my hands! tbf, it was too good to turn down. I think Arsenal still got a bargain though So we headed into the new season without our best player and with two of our other best players sulking as I turned down offers for them from big clubs. I focussed on those with good morale who actually wanted to play for us and it paid off. (Jake Barrett 37A only played 12 games for us all season) The lack of European games and going out the cup early meant the players were always rested before every game and always at 100% fitness and it made such a difference. Usually in the championship group we are dead on our feet with nobody in the squad on 100% condition but here we were up for it, winning 6 to take second and Champions League football next season Players One player who sulked I did play, as he was too good not to. Fatih Heco 38A is a wonderkid and even with morale in the toilet he was top scorer with 21 goals from 28 games, all on the left wing. I still have him for 5 years so hopefully he'll stop sulking at some point so I can tie him down even longer. Youth Career

With only one year left i'd probably have accepted anything! Salzburg imploded about 4 seasons ago and are suddenly completely awful. It's really weird! Popular Post XaW
XaW - Cardiff Draconians - Season 2027/28 (Season 4) - JD Cymru Premier Squad | Transfers | Finances Our first season in the top flight was eventful, but also quite good for us. We got a few thumpings, but for the most part we showed ourselves as a decent outfit at this level. And after possibly the best youth intake I've ever had in FM, we went on a winning spree towards the end of the season. Sure, we faced the lower bracket, but still. Our main issue is the fact that we concede too much, as has been the case ever since I took over here, but we are also quite free scoring, so it evens out. The youth intakes have increased a lot every season I've been in charge here, so I really am trying to not get too attached to the players just yet, as I seem to have to replace everyone soon if it keeps happening. Now, we just need to stabilize here and then push for the upper bracket and then into Europe. JD Welsh Cup: We beat Abercarn Utd, Holywell, Blaenavon Blues, and Pontypridd before we lost to Penybont in the semi final. Nathaniel MG Cup: We beat Afan Lido and Llantwit Major before we lost to Caernarfon in the quarter final. Best players from the academy: James Lawson 27b - Played in a few positions this season, and did well in most matches no matter where. Adam Kinsella 27a - Developing well, but not really shown it on the pitch yet. Ousmane Kandji 25b - Can play both on the wing and centrally, and did better when brought into the centre, so will probably keep him there. Popular Post SkyjumperTalon
HERLEV IF: Season 4: 2027/28 Season Summary Although there were moments were it looked like we could push for the promotion stage, a poor run of form sent us into the bottom half at the split date. After a terrible run of form, including 8 games winless, it looked like relegation was inevitable. Luckily, though, we found our form at the end of the season, going 2 wins and 2 draws in our last four matches. We are also starting to get some players on part-time contracts so that if the day ever comes where they get picked up by another club, we can at least charge a transfer fee. Breakthrough Players August Vendelboe 26a was our best performer, he was making key passes and creating chances like no tomorrow. We also had Kasper Kurland 26g as top scorer, and although some of those goals were penalty goals, he had some amazing moments, especially towards the end of the season, scoring 5 goals in his last 7 games, including using all 7 of his composure to score a last-minute winner in a 1-on-1 that virtually sealed safety. Key Departures We didn't lose any players at all this season, and that made a huge difference after losing key players Thomas Cliford 25c and Mostaffa Yassin recently. Mostaffa Yassin ended up retiring at the age of 22 after rejecting a new contract with us, so a bit of Schadefreude is certainly there. Youth Intake An incredible youth intake this year, if only for the one player Kenneth Jessen Olesen 28c. He's too young to have played in any senior competitions yet, but he will go straight into the starting lineup as soon as he turns 16. 13 determination, 16 flair, 12 technique, and 16 teamwork isn't world class, but for this level it's a definite boost to a lackluster midfield. Him and August Vendelboe 26a will work wonders together, and both still have a ton of room to grow and develop. Hopefully, the goalkeeper candidate Julius Spelmann can develop nicely, as well. We've desperately needed a goalkeeper ever since Lasse Gram started his aging decline in 2025/26. Also got our first non-Danish player, Alex Amankwah (not counting our 2 faroese intake players). But you better believe I'll be wasting their time when it next becomes available i found the same challenge with him on coaching badges as well. Although he was quite forthcoming on youth recruitment and junior coaching so i wasnt too displeased with him
Popular Post SkiIIs
Season 2036 - Versport FC - J1 League Started the season like a house on fire, winning 7 and drawing 2 out of the first 9 games to put us sitting pretty in first. We spent 3 weeks on top of the ladder but then capitulated and lost 6 out of 7 which included 5 in a row. From there on in we somewhat turned it around without ever really threatening to finish in the champions league spots. We also made the semi finals for both cups with one of the cups copping a 90+4th minute goal to knock us out. It proves that we can beat anyone on our day, but our day doesnt occur enough times in the year to challenge the top 4. We again started the season with improving our training facilities which took us to state of the art. Our youth facilities have been stuck at Adequate for a fair while now. Few weeks before the season and we had lost our CB prospect which i was looking to develop and start this season. it meant i transitioned my Mid/DM into a CB which should help us going forward. For the first time ever, we had our first NXGN players in the top 50 both details in the spoiler below. Spoiler Youth Preview need to start looking towards a new GK and would love a new full back Youth Intake I cant remember a getting a better player out of a youth intake (yep not as glorious as ive seen other, but still good for us) Reo Nakamura 36B is a walkup starter at the age of 15yo. Problem is my top 50 NXGN talent is a right back so will be retraining him to play on the left so Nakamura can develop in his younger years on the right. Yuta Mae 36A is the second best prospect and is a promising CB. Good technically and brilliant tackler for a 15yo but needs a few years to fatten up a bit Riki Takayama 36C is a good finishing striker but im well stocked in this position Edited July 16 by SkiIIs

Neo_Geo
@SkiIIs just need to get your defence tightened up a little and you'll storm the league, 109 goals for (a full 35 goals more than the next top scoring club). I really like players like Ishii 32E either foot full back, pretty quick, great endurance. You have another similar looking one in the intake as well in Nakamura 36B. What formation are you playing in particular with your full backs/wing backs? I've found its a delicate balancing act when playing a back 4 to get support on the wing in attack as well as being solid in defence......I've still not got it quite right (or got the right players yet). A nice formation, but very attacking by my opinion, but who am i. If I would use this formation i would set the right wingback to support, the left IW also support and keep the left wingback on attack for the overlap. The right wingback would move up a bit more but gives you a little more coverage behind the IW, also the mezzala tracks right so you have a little congestion there and if they are all gone attacking you need someone to be a little bit more behind.

I started the save with a shadow striker instead of DLF but i keep getting strikers and decent ones too coming through the intakes so have now gone with the two up front. I'm no tactician either but I'd echo @Perre8's comments on it being very attacking. Do you find you concede a lot of counter attacking goals? With wingbacks on attack you are reliant on your two centre backs (which at 2 star and 3 star CA might be too much for them on their own) for any counter attack as box to box and mezzala on attack is committing even more bodies forward. Obviously the formation is working for you in terms of goal scoring you just need to have a think about holes you are leaving at the back when so many are going forward in the attack. In addition you have a high press, press more often, you counter-press so again its aggressive and may leave you more exposed at the back. Don't be afraid of asymmetry either, for instance if you have a really good DMC drop the BBM back and just have them as a Defensive Midfielder or Ball Winning Midfielder if the opposition have a good number 10 and you want to be on top of them and see if that can give you more stability at the back. Similarly if your Mezzala offers width on the right you might want to have your WB on the right actually be a supporting fullback instead. Just pause your match engine at certain transitions/phases (winning possession in each third, losing possession in each third, general play in each third ) and look to see the positions of your players and think about where you want them to be if you suddenly won the ball or lost the ball. Without knowing where the goals you concede are coming from its hard to say where to target improvements in your defensive approach.
Popular Post Neo_Geo
SOLID AND SAFE FIRST SESAON IN VANARAMA NATIONAL Survival was the goal this season and we did that and only missed out on a promotion play-off place by a solitary point. Our position in the league I would say was fair as the general trend had us roughly in 7th or 8th (apart from a blip where we dropped as low as 14th). The step up in quality was evident and although we finished joint top scorers in the division it was the 66 goals conceded that meant 15 losses on the board. Given the prediction was rock bottom I am delighted to not only survive but put in the foundation for this coming season where the goal will be to get more points on the board. I stuck with the same formation but I have dropped Alex Curran in favour of Brice Kalala-Kabangu Y1-A who did not let me down with a great return of 10 goals and 8 assists in the Number 10 role. In the cups we were poor and only progressed one round out of both trophies but the goal was to survive this season without being relegated so no complaints from me. Our balance has improved again and Mr Savage has backed the improvements to the facilities which I must say 2 seasons in looks very healthy indeed. Average attendances are now up and nearly at capacity. League Results Domestic Cup Results Youth Intake A much better looking intake preview this year and the actual intake was better than I hoped with 10 elite prospects: Michael Meredith Y2-A Bayleigh Codling Y2-A Lewis McCabe Y2-A David Laluz Y2-A Hu Xueliang Y2-A Daniel Griffiths Y2-A Keighran Bailey-Jones Y2-A Roan Hewson Y2-A Livio Navet Y2-A Jordan Navarro Y2-A I've already promoted and played Meredith, McCabe, Codling, Laluz, Navarro and Xueliang. It's an interesting intake given I have the likes of Laluz and Xueliang who could be considered as midfielders but I am going to train as wingbacks. The intake was dominated by players on either wing and no striker which means I am once again reliant on Mostafa Adel Y1-A to provide the goals up top (who incidentally got called up to the Egypt U20s this summer) Club News In club news its a love/hate affair with club owner Robbie Savage. He's happy enough to improve our junior coaching (once and twice) as well as youth recruitment (once and twice) and whilst he is happy enough to allow all of my coaches to go on numerous coaching courses I am still stuck on my National C license after 8 failed requests. As mentioned earlier the attendances have gone up and the board, mainly funded by a grant, have decided to expand the stadium. Admin (transfers) No new trophies Squad News Sam Perry and Drew Baker had been promised to be sold if a suitable bid came in, it didn't and they were happy to remain at the club. As soon as this news item came in I got in with the contract offers and I am delighted to say they have opted to stay on with Sam Perry signing a 2+1 year deal and Drew Baker signing a 3+1 year deal As for the squad as a whole I am looking to start the process of replacing the original players who clearly have reached their peak with the youngsters who could potentially be much better. This is more in the final third with players like Alex Hurst, Luke Duffy and even Neil Kengni going to start being rotated with Griffiths Y2-A and Codling Y2-A to see what they are able to offer. This is always the part of the save that I find a little tricky with regards to player management as these players went from important players to being squad to then being back up followed by surplus to requirements but I need to keep them here until some further intakes are through. Bingo Card So I've marked the avoid relegation to Vanarama North as complete as I did avoid it, if I do get relegated I'll take it off. The only other change was the winning a competitive game by 5 clear goals (which happened twice this season first with a 6-0 home win over Woking at the beginning of the season then Hartlepool 6-1 at home in December) All in all a pleasing second season with the focus being on maintaining our place in this division and starting to see some more youngsters make the first team on a regular basis. Popular Post CJ'43
Kavala Football Club / Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καβάλα Season 31 - 2054/55 Schedule / Squad / Transfers / Finances / Manager Season summary: after a trophyless season, we're finally back to winning silverware. Kavala became champions for the 6th time in their history, finishing with the same points as Asteras Tripolis. (regular phase/championship group) We also added the cup trophy to our museum. After defeating two lower-division teams and getting past Panathinaikos in the semi-finals, we beat AEK 3-1 in the national stadium to secure our 3rd Greek Cup. In the Champions League, we defeated Young Boys to reach the group stage. Despite having one of the easiest draws in the competition, we suffered unexpected losses to Rennes and Dinamo Zagreb. Nevertheless, we reached the knockouts, where we beat AEK with an aggregate score of 7-3. We then drew Feyenoord in the Round of 16, which seemed favorable at first. However, we were unable to defeat the "easiest" team at that stage of the tournament, leading to a disappointing exit for Kavala in the UCL. It was a remarkable season for Markos Gentsoglou, who had the best average performance of 7.52 points since the start of this challenge. The winger took advantage of Babis Tasiopoulos's long injury to secure his place in the starting eleven this season. Ilias Giannikoglou became Kavala's top goalscorer in the league, surpassing Ilias Manafis's previous record of 104 goals. He was also the top scorer in this edition of the Super League, with 25 goals in 27 matches, and won the Talent of the Year award for the best player in the league. The Greek Player of the Year award went to Giorgos Lyberakis, with Giannikoglou in second place, followed by Thrakias. Five of our players made it into the league's Team of the Year: Giannis Ouzounis, Giorgos Tsakirellis, Marios Thrakias, Markos Gentsoglou, and Ilias Giannikoglou. Christos Angelidis was named as the most promising player in the world. I won the Manager of the Year award for the 10th time. This year also marks the retirement of a football legend: Jamie Vardy, who retires at 68 after being with us for the last 20 years. Youth intake: one of the worst in recent years, with only two exciting prospects: Fotis Dakoutros and Iñigo Goñi. naterr
Tony Pizza at Kerala United FC - Go Hornbills! - Season 15 Preseason Cup I think the guys were still on holiday for this match as none of the players wanted to win this, we got to the Semi Final but lost out to Jamshedpur. meh! Youth Intake This was a decent intake but nothing spectacular. The coaches rate this guy as having the best potential but he doesn't look great yet, but he can jump, which is nice for a centre back compared to recent years. Kumar Spoiler Asian Champions league.....well not quite! We finished 4th last season and reached the play off semi final, so at the very least we were the fourth best team in India that year. With our qualification places (2 group stage, one play off and one preliminary) I should have gotten a chance at the Champions league, but apparently not. I think this must be a glitch as it is a custom database, but only one team made it to the champions league, and two other clubs got into the Confederation cup. I got nothing... I guess this isn't a problem, it just means I need to make sure I win the league each year - but it is slightly annoying! Super League We recorded a second place finish, still yet to top the table by the end of the season! We knew we had to do well in the play offs to make sure we can get continental football. We smash Mumbai 7-3 on aggregate to make it to the final against...Kolkata of course. However, they couldn't score (which helped us immensely). We put our chance away and come away with our third title in four years. We are now the second most successful team in the super league history! (but it hasn't been going long so it isn't that great!) Super Cup Confidence was high and we easily make it to the final - beating Kolkata in the Semi's to set up the tie against Mumbai. This was an even game but a penalty to Mumbai was the difference, I was pretty certain it looked outside the box but the ref wasn't believing me! Team of the Year Saikia is the main man this year, 30 goals and 3 assists shows how good her is. Gurung did well too with 16 goals and 8 assists, and is now our first Indian capped player!
Popular Post Matsusipida
IFK Lidingö season 23 / 2046 | Swedish Premier Division Pre season was fine as we were able to keep all players in the team. Only a couple of fringe players were sold. After promotion back to the highest tier I was supprised to see we were not rated last by the bookmakers. I guess it was the first time in premier division. In cup we finished 3rd in group with 3 draws. League started brilliantly with 19 points from first 9 rounds. Then once again it al started to collapse and we only won 3 games from our last 21 rounds. Fine early season was enough to keep us on a decent 11th place with 34 points. Spoiler Squad James Kyambadde 34A and Magnus Karlsson 43E were impressive in midfield. Aydin Sahin 38A was our top goalscorer with 8 league goals. Our long serving core of CD Jesper Bergtoft 30E - DM Christoffer Söderström 29B - CM Daniel Rynell 29C - CM Jonathan Sletsøe 30A have declined to (useless) backup options. Söderstöm is club league appearance leader with 428 caps. Sletsøe is club top goalscorer with 125 goals. Spoiler Youth intake A nice intake with couple of high potential players. David Perić 46A is DC/STC, a combination I haven't seen too much in youth intakes. He's a bit short for a CD role but he could still grow or he could need some retraining as midfielder. Theo Normén 46B is a promising winger/midfielder with nice finishing so he could even make it as a striker. Martin Westman 46C is a winger with high acceleration. Spoiler transfers Spoiler Board decided to expand our new stadium. Not sure we needed more debt. Spoiler
Popular Post djsterry
FC United Season REVIEW 2058!! Finally after all these years we manage to win the Premier League Half the challenge done- I have a very decent team now and after finishing second last year to the mighty Newcastle I have won it with a game to spare This is easily the best set of players I have produced doing this challenge and I will go though all the first team in detail. First off GK Key man and probably the best keeper I have produced on the game Right back Fullbacks are always a problem for me doing this challenge and this is no different both full backs are converted wingers Left Back Again a converted winger but a bit more comfortable than the rb in this position Centre Backs again one is a converted cm I don't seem to have much luck getting defensive players coming through Left winger Another Gem that come through and has really performed for me Right Wing A solid steady sort of player, not as talented as Nelson Cm Young player only just come through but straight into the team after I let a couple of players go 2nd cm Came through as a striker but needed him in cm has done well there Striker Brilliant youngster that went straight into the team as soon as he came through looks like a club legend in the making 2nd striker Top quality player that has been producing the goods pretty much since he started playing Will concentrate on trying to win the champions league now, I struggled this year trying to balance the both as I don't have many back up players

XaW
20 hours ago, Neo_Geo said: A five 5 star current ability intake don’t think I’ve ever seen such a thing, what are you adding to the Cardiff water supply @XaW? Probably more to do with the fact that I have such a rubbish team and I got quite a few accepted approvements to the youth coaching and recruitment! I mean, they are still only rated as "standard" for the 2nd tier, and this is the level of player we are talking about. Sure, not a horrible prospect, but come on, he is never going to light up the world now, is he?

Thanking you sir! Yes and its worked for me, nice one @libbyshuss Got him on a 3 year contract as soon as he turned 17 and was able to offer him a new contract and then added an optional for 3 more years The first discussion had a locked in minimum fee for £44m and relegation release clause for £29m Walked away and had the chat with the agent and next time they weren't locked in, so I could remove them I over doubled his wage and signing on fees and agreed first time Look at him now Edited July 16 by Padders
Popular Post Padders
Season 147 - 2169/70 - PL Back in the PL and we have really struggled Most the teams in the bottom 6/8 that we needed to win, we either lost by one goal or conceded really late to draw It was the pattern all season We somehow managed to win 3 of the last 4 game to perform an unlikely escape from relegation, with only 31 points We need to be better next season
