Popular Post SuperRedditch
Leça FC Season Twelve - 2035/36 Liga Portugal Betclic - 3rd Supertaça Winners League Progress again, as we beat Vitoria de Guimaraes to a Champion's League spot. 1/3 into the season we looked like we might make a title challenge, but the rigours of Europa League took their toll and we settled into a scrap for 3rd place. Great season though. Cups Supertaça - Enacted revenge on the team that had beaten us in 5 finals already, to lift our second trophy since starting the challenge. Allianz Cup - Finished the group stage with equal points and record as Benfica and they were "randomly" chosen ahead of us. Total BS. Taça de Portugal - Really disappointing after being in the final the previous 3 years. Lost to 2nd division side. Europa League - Wonderful run. Made us a bunch of money but EPL opposition were just way too strong. Squad Held on to all of our prized assets for now, but was forced to use optional 3 year extensions to keep the best 2 at the club. We're on a race against time to win the league before their contracts run out to make them happy, I think. Bruno Thiago - Only good striker at the club. 36 goals. Tiago Batalha - Goalscoring AM. 27 goals. Teixeira - Flying full-back. 27 assists. Ruben Mestre - DM conductor. 10g/13a. Intake Please game, just give me some defenders. Think I'm gonna turn the last 2 of these into DMs. Bregy as a ball-winner and Cabeça as a DLP. Lopes could be excellent after 2 years of Quickness training. Here's some club legends as requested: By the end he was overtaken, but he is our record goal scorer in a season and carried us in our early foray into Europe. Our club record in appearances. He was "Y25B" (I started adding notes because nicknames seem to fall off) We never had a keeper run away with things and establish himself as the dominant keeper. Gustafsson however took the helm for this last stretch and he won a lot of trophies. This is the guy that asked for 30M a year I think. I asked the board to negotiate just to see what they would do and he got 22M lol. He scores at an every-other-game pace. Ones that got away: These are the two players I hated losing the most. They wouldn't re-sign and for both, I was able to get some big clauses to help fill the coffers and get our facilities maxed. The future is bright for the club though: I'm sticking around for at least another season to see if I can't get the national team job also (the coach is retiring soon), and then turn it into a bit of a build-a-nation save.

Popular Post scarp
NK Roltek Dob 2024/25 I wanted to try a league I never managed before and Slovenia caught my eye. I did not have high expectations as I took over a semi-professional club but was positively surprised my level of certain players, still we were expected to finish 15th. We started the season very well and just kept on doing just that, at some point even reaching the promotion places before eventually dropping down. Slovenia is quite tough as you cannot field players before the age 16 which will make first two seasons quite hard. Also the youth intake was not as good as in my games with Usti nad Labem, but it may have something to do with the quality of our players here in Dob.We also managed to do really well in Slovenian Cup as we managed to go all the way to Quarterfinals, beating famous teams like Celje on the way. Key players: Jaka Kasnik, Tian Pantelic & Davorin Gosak Youth in-take: Jernej Kmetec & Jaka Turk
Popular Post Neo_Geo
I realised something, I get tired of saves because of the pressure I put on myself to succeed and complete the challenge rather than enjoying it and embracing the journey and the evolution of a squad and country. For my next save I am focusing on having fun rather than expecting to mount any kind of serious challenge. Welcome to the island of Gozo, Malta Time to go back to a country where I had a lot of fun in FM 23 and with it being such a small country the chances of succeeding the challenge are slim to none, so its about having fun and not about the outcome. The leagues are nice and small with 22 games in the 3rd Tier (I had to exclude the 4th tier as there is no relegation from it), 30 games in the second tier and 26 games in the top tier. There is a national cup and a super cup so its quite a compact country as far as fixtures are concerned. One of the key things I will be looking at is the Maltese national team (you will see why a little later in this post) and at the start of the save they are 163rd in the world and have never qualified for the World Cup or European Championships since joining FIFA in 1959 and UEFA in 1960. Now it's time to introduce the club that I am going to take charge of to start my Maltese Adventure! (using the Timo Malta (D4) pack) Kerċem Ajax FC I know I said I didn't want to put pressure on myself to succeed but I may not get the chance to relax and have fun as both the board and supporters expect promotion this season for which I have to finish first. The squad is in good nick with a healthy number of players although just one keeper so hopefully avoid any season ending injuries (or lose him as we are semi-pro). The star player is 27 year old Brazilian Gabriel Fernandes Olimpio who is a solid central midfielder with 12 long shots so I will be encouraging him to test the Maltese National Amateur League keeper as much as possible. Now for the fun part!!!! One of the reasons I stopped playing my Croatia save was not being able to play my youngsters well here there are no age restrictions but there are two key restrictions for the squad: 1. Only 2 foreign players can be registered 2. Only 1 foreign player in match day squad This is going to be a true build a nation relying on the domestic talent (hopefully with a few second nationality Maltese youth players!). Usually with building a nation its about bringing in talent to that league, doing better on the continent and repeating over and over until winning a continental competition and boosting reputation of your club and the league. Obviously in the youth academy challenge this isn't allowed but foreign players coming through your ranks are a key part to getting a better squad particularly when the nation has a very low youth rating. It will be interesting (most likely frustrating) to see how players come through the youth setup and just hope that I don't actually get too many players that I simply cannot register. In saying this IF we ever make European competition I could potentially play foreign players there but I can only register 2 for domestic purposes (that is of course if the bug in Croatia doesn't show up here where domestic player rules bleed into continental rules). I'm probably going to give updates at 2 year intervals as well as I feel this save could be more focused on the long term rather than the short term but I'll see how it goes. EDIT: Nearly forgot the kits Edited August 22 by Neo_Geo
Popular Post WhiteCat33
Etincelle Macouba – Martinique Youth Academy Challenge 2026 Season 2 – Martinique Trophee Claude Chade R3 Past Updates: Spoiler FM24 YAC Thread: Intro Post | Season 1 | League Performance: 2nd Place We were so close to back-to-back promotions. We were in first for the majority of the season, however the final stretch proved too difficult once teams had 2 weeks between games to rest up and we slipped down to 2nd. On the final day of the season we were in a position where if we won, and the league leaders lost or tied we would advance due to greater wins. And what happens? They get 2 shots on target and score 2 goals to bring us level and deny us the title. Spoiler Domestic Cup Performance: We were entered into the Coupe de France (Martinique) this year and lost right away. Not a problem Squad: CA & RA Excel Player List: I took the export after the intake so I'm skipping it for this year. You'll see why. Transfer Activity: Nothing Best XI: Spoiler Head Coach: No new coaching licenses. Club Improvements: I held the Youth Academy at "Adequate" JR Coaching & "Above Average" Youth Recruitment. I want to wait till we make the top flight to push it further to not risk financial issues. We did get a boardroom shakeup as a Consortium took over. They put $5k into the club, which I guess is a lot when our yearly turnover is 90k. Spoiler Youth Academy: Head of Youth Development: I made the change last year to a Spirited HOYD Youth Intake Preview: Spoiler Youth Intake: We got talented players with horrendous personalities. Perfect FM after I go on and on about picking a new HOYD.. Spoiler YI Best Candidates: Top 3 Excel Spoiler Upsetting "Casual" & "Low Self Belief" are in our top 10 personalities. Spreadsheet Manager: Summary: Not a lot to say as we are slowly building up the team. All but 3 starters are U-18. The older players are our GK, CB & LB. Of the 3 I desperately want to upgrade the GK. The other two are totally fine for this level. For Bingo we now can't get back-to-back promotions.
Popular Post djsterry
Villa Dalmine 3rd Season update Solid 8th place finish I'm quite happy to sit in this league for a few years to build up the facilities etc, I seem to have a board that like to sell my players without a 2nd thought, very annoying but at least they approve some facility improvements All facilities / coaching and recruitment were average when I took over so great progress on that front. The board sold Irala despite my protests, I had negotiated a 4.5m deal with 50 % of next fee (with another club) they felt a 4m deal with 30% profit clause was too good to turn down Managed to clear out most of the older players and only have one player older than 19. Ramirez will go next and I can build a better culture at the club all my team leaders were bad personalities I'd rather struggle for a couple of years and bring the right players though Expecting to struggle next year as I bring the young players through, hopefully can hold onto most of them. Giglio will no doubt be sold by the board next as he only stayed last year due to getting injured during the transfer window He's very talented for this level Hopefully next years intake will be better, I had massive improvements and got the worst intake so far No decent players this year just a couple of bench players at best Edited August 22 by djsterry
Popular Post XaW
XaW - Cardiff Draconians - Season 2025/26 (Season 2) - JD Cymru Premier Squad | Transfers | Finances A tough and close season where we were in the fight for survival for the entire season. Luckily for us, Briton Ferry were a ringer for dead last, so it was only the 2nd lowest spot to avoid. All the rest of the lower bracket was looking to go down at some point, so it was a nailbiter. Beating Caernarfon in the 3rd last match gave us a solid push away from the relegation spot, and when we drew Barry Town in the penultimate match of the season we were safe. The win over Briton Ferry in the final match of the season was the icing on the cake. So overall a very good season for us. The youth intake was also pretty good, with some strong players coming through and bolstering the squad. We still have some glaring issues with quality players, but we are getting there slowly but surely. Neo_Geo
I forgot just how much I HATE semi pro contracts: Feel like all I've done since the save is read about other clubs approaching my players over and over and over again. I offer contracts, they sign then 1 day later another team come in. Why is it whenever I've tried signing players in the past who signed a new deal I get told they aren't interested in talking yet when the shoe is on the other foot its fine. Going to get sacked as there will be no way I can get promoted if I lose half my team before a competitive match is played EDIT: 6 of my best players gone in the first window, this was meant to be fun but its brining on anxiety. This save might be over before it even gets going at this rate (though somehow I'm top despite playing an AMR in DM and now a grey striker partnering my one remaining striker) Edited August 22 by Neo_Geo

Popular Post libbyshuss
Austria - 2052/53 - Premier League Transitionary Season Turns into Unexpected Triumph as Wels Win Europa League! Honestly, after having to sell our best player, Fatih Heco 38A, in the summer I was ready to write this season off as a transitionary season and bring through my best looking 4 or 5 youngsters for significant first team action. The Europa League seemed to be the perfect place, because really, who cares? Well..... turns out I do in the end! The youngster did unbelievably well in the league stage It meant we went straight through to the knock out stage, and apart from a little wobble against Juve (we FM'd them in Turin!) we strolled to the final against Sporting Lisbon. The final was the best game I've watched for a long, long time! For the first 18 minutes it was a cagey affair with neither team getting a sniff. Then our centre back Michael Hartl 43C bundled one home from the corner. What happened next was pure Germany-Brazil 2014. Every time we got the ball we scored! we ripped them apart time after time and after 33 minutes it was 5-0 and I was dancing in my living room. We were champions! The form carried over into the league as well. In the championship group stage we went 4 games without a win but then won our last 6 to finish second. The youngsters have me all excited! Players Paul Alhaier 40A - With Heco 38A gone it fell on Alhaier's shoulders to fill the void. In response he had the weirdest season I've ever seen from one of my strikers After the first 21 games of the season he had 35 goals. In the next 21 games he scored once, in the 21st game! it was weird! Adilson Rocha 48G - An amzing season for my two star potential right winger who I only started playing because his attributes were perfect for a winger. This season he got 23 gaols and 36 assists in 53 games and has seen his potential edging up and up and up! Oliver Wunderlich 50A - the pick of the new youth players, and not only because of his superb name. Left winger, so playing in Heco 38A's position, he played 24 games with 11 goals and 7 assists. Average rating not bad either! He also was the only one to make the NXGN list. At number one! Youth Only negative is our best prospect plays MR, a position I haven't used since the late 90s. Hopefully he can be retrained as an AMR Career been three years since I won the league. Can I win it again? And can we repeat our Euopa League success in the champions league? Popular Post dkouv
Poole Town – Season 14 (2037/38) Championship. We were in the play-off spots throughout most of the season, and finished 5th. Despite a bad run of form in April / May, we started playing well just as the playoffs arrived, and managed to edge out Fulham by an odd goal in the semi final (largely thanks to our keeper's heroics, which included saving a penalty in the second leg). In the final against Bristol City, we managed to pull it back to 2-2 after being 2-0 down, but they edged us out 3-2 in extra time. So another season in the Championship beckons, I don't really mind as our squad is nowhere near ready enough for the premier league. Players Jamie Owen 09a (AMRL) is still our best player, and Sean Young 02b (AMC/ST) is still overperforming massively relative to his attributes, with 8 goals and 12 assists this season. We have a new starting keeper in Samuel Wallis 09b, who hop[efully will develop more and did his best to get us promoted with his playoff semi-final heroics this season, alas it wasn't quite enough. Youth intake (preview): A relatively poor intake but Jamie Thomas 14a (AMR) looks like he could go far despite only having a 3.5-4.5 PA rating. Facilities The youth facility upgrade option has disappeared, as usual, but the money keeps coming in, and we managed to order another training facility upgrade. Transfers: nothing of note. Popular Post SuperRedditch
Leça FC Season Thirteen - 2036/37 Liga Portugal - 1st League What an exhausting season. Inconsistent at times, heavily reliant on a few players, and faced huge morale issues as 9 of our players want to leave. We went into the final 2 games of the season with it out of our hands. Benfica and I both won our penultimate game, but they faced Porto in their final match. They lost 2-4 whilst we squeaked a 2-0 win in ours. We're champions. One part of the challenge done. Cups Allianz Cup - Made it past the group stage for the first time ever only to lose 0-2 in the Semis against Porto. Taça de Portugal - 4th Final in 5 years. Faced Benfica (for the 3rd time). Lost 2-4. I hate Benfica. Did I mention that I hate Benfica? Champions League - Eased into the group stage, squeaked a top 8 finish on GD, slid past Arsenal in the last 16 only to be put in our place by PSG in the quarters. Still, a wonderful first year in the tournament. Oh, and we smashed Real Madrid 4-1 at home. Intake A really poor intake. The worst one in many years. Keeper might make a backup someday. We're coming into a crucial time for the club. Loads of players want to leave, but are on farily lengthy contracts (many with +2/3 year options). They all want to play for a team that challenges for titles. Having now done so, I'm hoping that once the promises I've made run out, they might negotiate a new deal. If not, I face losing some of them within the next few years.

kaivolax
Season 3 Review SC Westfalia Herne League Table First season in the fifth tier we were comfortably in the top half placing 6th but fifteen points behind the top four. Youth Intake On paper looks like an excellent intake but none are really improvements at the moment except for Sebastian Baier who will slide into starting left back position. Popular Post naterr
Naterr Garcia - Barwell FC - 27/28 League Playoffs baby!!! What an improvement on last year! We have been high on the XG table for a while and not getting anywhere, this year we were 15th in the XG table but managed to get to 6th. Youth Intake Excellent update - this is what we needed. Kabamba comes in as our best player straight away, incredible. Kabamba Spoiler Playoffs We did the impossible! Alfreton coming back from 4-1 to 4-3 after 90 minutes was pretty scary, but we managed to hold on and onto the national league! Giglio will no doubt be sold by the board next as he only stayed last year due to getting injured during the transfer window He's very talented for this level Hopefully next years intake will be better, I had massive improvements and got the worst intake so far No decent players this year just a couple of bench players at best Villa Dalmine 4th season Update As predicted Giglio left the club, it was even quicker than expected he was gone before the season started Once again the club let me make improvements with the cash I didn't have high expectations for the season and I ended up with another 8th place finish. Shockingly I ended up getting promoted via the play offs I love a 3-1 result I'm fully expecting to be relegated, I'm not even a good 2nd division team. It was a fairly poor intake again but I have a full bench now and can bring on subs for most positions at least Wish me luck next year I'm going to need it

Neo_Geo
AMIDST TRANSFER CHAOS THE GREENS WIN THE TITLE I am going to trim down my yearly updates because one of the reasons for doing Malta is a smaller league and get through the seasons quicker. I was going to do 2 years per update but given what went on in the first season I thought it would be best to have the first one now. I mentioned in earlier posts that as soon as the first transfer window opened I was being bombarded with news items of approaches to sign nearly every player in my squad (the best ones at least) and little did I know until a little @WhiteCat33 told me, that if you set the contract start date to be the end of the season it will at least buy you that much time without any further offers as they have already accepted a contract. Without knowing this I lost 6 of my key players (2 out of the 3 strikers 2 out of my 3 central midielders a highly promising left winger and a defensive utility man that could pretty much play anywhere). Up until the first window closing we were actually doing really well and even after losing these players and playing a right winger in DMC position we were still getting results (guess this shows the awful level of Tier 3 football in Malta). I had opted for my trusty 4-2-4 wide formation but I moved the central midfielders to be DMs to suit my 1 remaining midfielder and also to provide a little more cover at the back. Things were going well and the second transfer window opened and now with the knowledge provided to me I was able to avoid losing a single player in that window. We continued our good form and with about 5 games to go we were 12 points clear with a game in hand and it was looking comfortable. Then we lost to Rabat Ajax, no big deal right with a gap like that? Well it turns out the scheduling in Malta is a bit imbalanced (possibly due to stadium sharing) which meant that the spread of games played often wasn't symmetrical. Rabat Ajax were one of those teams who had played about 4 games less than everyone else (including myself) and were now 10 points behind and in fine form. It produced a very nervy end to the season especially when my game in hand with 2 games to go saw me travel to 3rd placed team Marsaskala with Rabat level on points but behind on goal difference and I came away with a 1 nil win to restore the 3 point gap and at this point avoiding a complete disaster in the last game would see us crowned as champions. In another away match to 8th placed Xgħajra Tornadoes it was another nervy 1-0 win that clinched to title. Our defence was the one area not really impacted by the sales and it shows as we only conceded 12 goals in 22 games but scoring goals was a bit more tricky playing with the one grey striker. I can only wonder what might have happened if I had held onto those 6 players however financially it would have left us in an even worse position as we are currently £27k in the red and that was despite making a few rounds of the Maltese Trophy which provided £10k prize money for winning in the third round and would have given £20k if we had won in the 4th round away to Premier League side Gzira United (3-2 loss) but we still got £10k for losing there as well. Financially we need to look to progress in the cup as much as possible to balance the books as the shirt sponsor deal is only worth around £6k at the moment and there will be no money coming in from anywhere else unless the board provide funds to keep us in the black. There were no coaching courses approved due to the finances nor any improvements and this may remain the same for some time. Youth Intake The intake was all about numbers and replenishing a depleted first team squad following that first transfer window however Michael Attard Y1-A looks like he will make a big difference right away. In addition to him there is a left winger where I was lacking depth and quality and two central midfielders albeit more attacking minded so I might have to retrain or tweak the formation into something less symmetrical. I'm looking into my own ratings approach for the youth players but I'm nowhere near ready to use it and I just want to get the save moving so for now its just a case of looking at the intake at face value and according to my backroom staffs view of their abilities. Squad News I want to spend more time looking at the squad during this save so I will be tracking the squad planner for the coming season, squad depth, experience matrix and an overview of the squad each update: The average ability looks a little better than it did before the intake but you can clearly see DMC is a problem area. This is again backed up in the squad depth view showing that I have 1 player recognised as a DM, but he is a pretty decent one at that. You can also see the strength of the defence but its only 1 layer deep. Experience matrix shows only the 1 experienced player in Lee Galea who has now retired. I'd say overall the squad is looking ok as far as potential is concerned (at least according to the coaches) but as always you have to temper these expectations until the players start playing and age by a couple of years. Bingo Card A reasonable first year for the Bingo Card but I've seen that there are no awards given in this league (must have been something Timo didn't want to do) so at least 4 of these will never be achievable (A3 through B4) so I will most likely change these to something I can actually achieve. Popular Post mschafer13
Took until 2041, but I finally won promotion on the final match day of the season! Scoring a league high 123 goals, while being terrible in defense and letting in 77, but hey, it worked. Led by my 17 year old striker and my 17 year old keeper, the media predicted us to finish 22nd. Now...can I convince the board to go professional so we don't get relegated straight away? Unlikely..I've been trying for 10 years now.
