Popular Post Winski Posted Saturday at 22:36 Popular Post Share Posted Saturday at 22:36 Ungmennafélag Selfoss Season review Season 1 | 2025 Lengju deildin (2nd Tier) Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview What a fantastic first season! We won 20 out of 22 matches, and lost the other two. The 60 points we got is a new league record. Also the 75 goals we scored is a new record. And to make it even nicer: we won the Icelandic Cup!! We won 5-0(!!) against KR. So we will play European football again next season! Such a great season In pre-season we played the League Cup, were we lost in the semi-finals. And we also figured in the Super Cup, a match that we lost against Vikingur R. We also made our debut in Europe. And that in my first season at the club. As I wrote in my previous post; Selfoss won the Cup last season as well, in the 'holiday season'. So we played in the Europa Conference League Second Qual. Round against Zrinjski. With a 2-2 at home and a 2-3 loss away we didn't qualify for the next round. But the money we earned is very, very welcome! A big thank you to some of our star players: topscorer Albert Hatilov, MVP Gonzalo Zamorano, forward Valdimar Jóhannsson, midfielders Jón Vignir Pétursson and Guðmundur Tyrfingsson and our scoring GK Stefán Þ.S. Ágústsson(he's taking Free Kicks and penalties, and scored 12 goals!). Youth intake Our first youth intake. The preview was mwah. The actual intake was okay. No Elite Talents, but 5 Good talents. Let's hope that some of them will develop into good players for us. Spoiler Upgrades We were able to upgrade our junior coaching budget and youth recruitment both once, after we got the European money. And last but not least: at the end of the season the (new) board was willing to create a U19 team. So we don't need our U19 affiliate team anymore, we now have our own U19 team. We also move into a new stadium, as our current stadium didn't meet the requirements needed for the highest league. Progress
Kelb Posted Saturday at 22:53 Share Posted Saturday at 22:53 Well, sacked at the beginning of the new year ! I really struggled to make the team work and tbh its probably my fault, I realized I wasn't playing to the strengh of my team too late and even changing the tactic, which helped a bit during like 4 matches, wasn't enough. My players were so demoralised already. But I'm really struggling to have my defence working, we conceded a lot of goals just after scoring. So if anyone have any tips for that, or generally for tactics in lower leagues, I would be very glad to hear it ! I still wanna do the challenge with East Killbride F.C., and I knew sacking was a possibility so I kept a separate save file that starts when my manager is hired so that I can restart from the beginning if i'm sacked but damn it's hard

Neo_Geo Posted Saturday at 23:06 Share Posted Saturday at 23:06 (edited) Unlucky @Kelb you had quite a number of narrow losses, it looks like you weren't too far off. I've found my defence always seems to be an issue, the only advice I can give is to try and make sure you aren't being outnumbered in your back line. So whether thats full backs on defend or a half back just try to make sure your opponent doesn't have the upper hand. However, that being said I think there is merit in trying to exploit their weaknesses as defences at this level generally are rubbish anyway. Try to pull their backline out of shape and don't be afraid to step away from symmetrical tactics. Also try to keep the instructions minimal as the players lack the intelligence at this level as well. The other suggestion........get back in the saddle and try again in a fresh setting, don't be disheartened as its a tough challenge to get going and even when its going well you can get saves fall apart or just stagnate for years. EDIT: I see you really want to do this with East Kilbride Best of luck on attempt 2 Edited Saturday at 23:07 by Neo_Geo
Neo_Geo Posted Saturday at 23:11 Share Posted Saturday at 23:11 (edited) So......I smashed Barry Town to win the Nathaniel MG Cup in the first season but you know how every cloud has a silver lining, whats the opposite of this saying? "There's always a downside" Or "Every rose has its thorn" Or is it "Losing my best striker to a broken leg during the match and out for 7-10 months"? Yeah I think the last one Edited Saturday at 23:12 by Neo_Geo
Neo_Geo Posted Saturday at 23:33 Share Posted Saturday at 23:33 Wow @Winski what a first season, that’s incredible……glad I didn’t carry on my Iceland save as I think I’d have forever been in your shadow. Popular Post HanziZoloman Posted Sunday at 09:23 Popular Post Share Posted Sunday at 09:23 (edited) "We did the SBL1 again ... " Season 2076/77 After our promotion rush for the Premier League in 2075, we missed the play offs on the last match day, Billericay got a very expensive bill at the end of season 2076 with being relegated into SBL1 again. The Earl had to fear for his job again but they gave him a chance to rebuild and come back. We had a tough start into the season which left the Earl doubting if the promotion could be possible. He is known for his tactical shortcomings and more a people's coach with a focus on development and squad happiness. Well he knows a trick or two and does his research in the Forums, which gave his team an edge. Slowly Ricay gained momentum and piled victory on victory, suddenly the press was talking about ten matches unbeaten. The only sting were the losses against title contenders like Burnley, Wigan or Coventry. Nonetheless, they won when they had to and didn't lose the cheap points and got on top of the league in February. Now the were playing for their third League One Championship. Doncaster Rovers came behind and everyone was looking for the clash on 44th matchday between the two leading clubs. The Earl motivated the lads during training and eased the pressure on matchday, "just play your own game". It was away at Rovers' Eco Power Stadium and the crowd was buzzing. Ricays top scorer, the 18 y/o Ecuadorian Francisco Heredia easily found the net in the first five minutes and gave a penalty on top just a few turn later. The Rovers punched back and were choking Ricay in their own half of course their efforts were rewarded with a beautiful strike before halftime. The Earl told his men to brace themselves and believe in the holy god of football, "soak the pressure and hit them with a deadly counter attack, they are half dead." It was a header from big guy Solomon Olaniyi, the Nigerian tower put the ball into the net with a powerful strike after a corner and then the Vikings were broken. Ricay is back were they belong, Championship! As three times League One Champions. two matches left: won it all 101 points and a new record winning. Wow, that is consolidating for all those years. Spoiler We have a strong striker again, he's leading the competition for goals and could win it for us since years. Holy **** that helps tons. He got it with 26 goals (wow didn't had it for years) Spoiler "Brace yourselves lads, Championship is coming." Popular Post Nottingham Forest Posted Sunday at 10:04 Popular Post Share Posted Sunday at 10:04 Dulwich Hamlet FC Season 3 2026-27 VNS League Table A season which saw me start poorly with bad morale as I quickly abandoned my 3-4-2-1. We did improve but unfortunately after 34 games we'd just fallen into the relegation zone and a meeting was called. I requested time to improve and was granted it. Before the meeting our form was 11-5-18. After the meeting, with a slight tactical change with 2 DMs and 2 conventional wide midfielders return form of 6-5-1 as we secured safety comfortably in the end. Youth Intake Preview, Intake & Other Youth Bits Not as good an intake as previous years but maybe I've been blessed with how much my players have improved. My current HoYD has been on non-contract terms for the last season and I'm feeling that it may well be time to move him on. My current HoYD is below that we have placed through alot of courses and I'm thinking of replacing him with George Boyd. I only look at certain personality of staff. Other Bits We finally got taken over but was an internal one. We're now financially in the red. There is likely to be some changes to the legacy players in the summer.

Popular Post XaW Posted Sunday at 10:20 Popular Post Share Posted Sunday at 10:20 XaW - Cardiff Draconians - Season 2029/39 (Season 6) - JD Cymru Premier Squad | Transfers | Finances Ah, there we go, that's some very good progress. The key is of course that we qualified for Europe next season, but also we won the real cup! The season itself actually started rather poor, and we had a lot of very narrow losses and draws. And we were actually not far off ending up in the lower bracket A few wins just before the split made sure we were eventually comfortably in the upper bracket. This season we also almost were unbeaten at home, but Colwyn Bay ruined that small achievement by beating us close to the end of the season. And the youth intakes keep making us a lot better, so things are looking good for us. I'm also very happy to have a go in Europe next season. Welsh Cup: We beat Caerau Ely, Barry Town, Newtown, Ruthin, and Colwyn Bay to reach the final. There we faced Bala Town from the 2nd tier! They were a surprisingly tough opponent, but we beat them to claim our first ever Welsh Cup win! Nathaniel MG Cup: We beat Carmarthen Town before we lost to Briton Ferry in the 3rd round. Best players from the academy: Hans Nyeck 28a - A strong season from the left wing cutting inside. Nick Davies 28d - Had a good season on the left back for us. Juddy Ngoma 27b - Our top scorer, but those long droughts are starting to hurt us at times. For that striker he has some great attributes already and only needs to improve strength, passing and composure. I just sign the HOYD with the best JA and JP unless they have a negative personality, but preferably with higher WWY and Det. At the bottom of the pyramid i find poor personalities came through and better personalities when at the top which makes sense, not really sure how much the HOYD personality comes into it rather than club rep. Never signed a staff member from another club and rarely have my staff been signed by others. Usually will have a look at new staff before renewing contracts to see if there is someone better, let them go on courses to naturally improve which i let other staff decide on.
Thebaker Posted Sunday at 13:49 Share Posted Sunday at 13:49 (edited) 2025/26 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season with a 9 month injury to Soeiro but overcame this to start well and by xmas was just outside the playoff spots. In the new year the team seemed to collapse getting only 10 points from 16 games due to a lack of goals and poor performances especially from the GK (all 3 of them). This left the team in the relegation playoff against Hospitalet. In the first leg the team were lucky to escape with a 1-1 draw. In the 2nd leg the game was 1-1 at half time but my team pulled away with Soeiro scoring 5 goals to win 5-1. Not entered in the Spanish cup. Finances are pretty poor in spite of my good attendances since season tickets are so cheap, making £100K less than teams selling 1000 less tickets. Hoyos was my top scorer although he went missing in the 2nd half of the season. Jovanovic did ok playing mostly at AMR, he is so much better at AML. Youth preview was good and the intake produced some useful players. Yakubu, Pernia and Josema looked the best of them. Popular Post HbG93 Posted Sunday at 16:43 Popular Post Share Posted Sunday at 16:43 (edited) Seasonal Review 2036/37 The Table Another good season! Unfortunately we couldn't get past Frosinone during the playoffs. Hopefully we can make the jump up within the next couple of years. The Squad Pedone is having great impact on the team already. Nottoli, Turini and Moraes from class of 35 are both breaking into the team well. I feel promotion is getting closer and closer with this squad. It's also likely our only chance of getting Pedone onto a longer contract, as he already claims that he needs to play with a better squad. I fully expect to be in the playoffs yet again next year. Player Spotlight Pedone 36a is looking like the real deal! As, I said earlier he already isn't interested to renew. Hopefully we chase promotion and that helps. Turini 35c has also taken big steps! He looks set to become the best defender coming through our ranks by quite a lot. Transfers We got big money for F. Sabba 34c as Leeds United approached him. We get half right now, and the other half payed over the next 3 years. He was without a doubt among our most talented players. But our yearly costs cannot be covered without sales. Davide Tebalid and Caniparoli 28b also leaves us both among our most capped players. But they simply are done developing, and their maturing contracts just aren't worth it. I couldn't fund as much upgrades this time around but I still got: Youth Intake Happy with this intake! Pinto and Andrzej will likely have to wait a bit before they get chances in the first team due to the level of competition ahead of them. However the wings are places we need refreshments, and as such Fagnocchi here will be given chances from the get go. Hopefully we get someone new for the left next year. Carabao Cup - Runner up! we actually made it all the way to the final - it was a pretty simple run but Arsenal destroyed us! in the final! Popular Post The_Gato_In_Goal Posted Sunday at 19:08 Popular Post Share Posted Sunday at 19:08 Sociedad Deportivo Quito - Review Season 7 Back to winning ways, we nearly were able to avoid a championship final, but we bottled the end of the second stage to let Independiente del Valle win the stage (we had won the first stage). Usually we struggled in the first stage and are better in the second, but this time our Copa Libertadores campaign went so horribly that we were able to focus on the league instead. The final started out nervy, as we held on to a tight 0-0 draw in the away leg then Briones 01d scored from an 85th minute corner to secure the home leg and the title. Bounce back seasons from Ayovi 01e and Mantilla 01f with 17 goals a piece propelled us to the top, and we also benefitted from the continued development of role players who we could rotate in and out of the squad and not lose quality. Another shoutout to Pineda 03h for allowing 33 in 32 league games. We made it to 3* reputation just like the top Ecuadorian sides and have maxed out YR/JC. Hopefully we can build on that and attract better coaches and HOYDs while producing higher PA players. The board have stonewalled out attempts to improve youth facilities for a few years now despite the money we have in the bank. I didn't want to sell Tufino and we were thin in the center defense this year, but I agreed to sell him if a 850k bid was made and was even more surprised when someone made it.

Popular Post dkouv Posted Sunday at 19:48 Popular Post Share Posted Sunday at 19:48 Poole Town – Season 23 (2046/47) Champions League We had a few tough games against Roma and Man City to get through the last 16 and quarters. Then in the semi, Juventus, our conquerors from 2 years ago, and we absolutely blew them away. 9-0 over the two legs, never seen anything like it. Sure enough, it increased my expectations for the final, where we faced current holders Barcelona. We were the better team and managed to beat them 1-0, thanks to a goal from our center back after a corner. Had a bit of a scare with a disallowed goal and a good chance from them in added time, but we definitely deserved it. So, CHALLENGE COMPLETE!! Premiership & Cups. We almost did a perfect quadruple, winning both the FA and League cup, and finishing runners up to Man City in the league on goal difference. Players The three that carried us to the challenge are Sammy Myles 17b (DMC) who is really world class, Isaac Diallo 17a (DL) who managed to stay relatively injury free this season, and Jacob Bibby 12a (AMRLC/ST) who I moved up to striker this season and he repaid the faith with 27 goals. I think the two who made the extra CL-winning difference this season were Jake Reeves 19a (AMRLC/ST), who was great in the AMC position and hit 18 goals and 18 assists, and Drewe Snowden 19b (DRC) who was very solid at right back, and creating plenty of chances too. And of course a special shout out to Herbie Collum 16d (DC) who scored the winning goal in the CL final. Legends of the save Sean Young 02b (AMC/ST), who was our main attacker from Vanarama South to the Championship, scoring 145 goals in 551 apps, Paul Barlow 04b (DR/AMRC) who was our only decent (retrained) full back for a very long time, and Jamie Owen 09a (AMRLC) who has been with us since Vanarama National, amassing 514 apps (131 goals) and starting in the CL final. No transfers in. So, good job I managed to complete the challenge just in time for the next FM.... ok, I guess I'll probably be back on this thread before too long! Popular Post Neo_Geo Posted Sunday at 20:56 Popular Post Share Posted Sunday at 20:56 FIRST SEASON TREBLE FOR (ALMOST) ALL CONQUERING MUSSELMEN! Crazy, crazy fun first season in charge! Predicted to finish first and the lads certainly didn't disappoint as we stormed the league in an invincible campaign with only two draws. With a squad of 11 it was always going to be a little tricky if we got any long term injuries and thankfully the two that I did get were towards the end of the season. The only other injuries were for my AMC which I replaced with my left back and moved to left wing as he was actually a winger with a grey at left back. Luckily it didn't have too much impact. We broke the 100 goals scored mark but did conceded 38 as I would say the defence once again was the weaker area. In the cups we did beat Premier League opposition but came a cropper in the Welsh Cup Semi-Final where an away tie at TNS ended 2-0 (we scored at 0-0 which was ruled out and they went up the park immediately afterwards and scored, I then went attacking and we were too open). This tie came 1 day after the intake and 2 players had signed a deal who were able to play but I had lost Ryan Hillier by this point with his broken leg. In the Nathaniel MG Cup Final we beat Barry Town 3-0 and looked remarkably comfortable even after Hillier broke his leg. We also won the Tier 2 League Cup defeating Cambrian & Clydach in the final 4-1 after going down 1-0 against the run of play. Financially we did lose money this year but based on the performances against Premier sides I am hopeful we can actually get a European place this year. YOUTH INTAKE A really good first intake giving us a couple of first teamers, much needed depth and some short term projects to work on replacing ageing first teamers. Best of Intake Spoiler Morris, Bryant and Matuszewski have already broken into the first team consistently and have done pretty well for themselves in the final stages of the season. CLUB NEWS Once again I have been backed with my coaching courses with 3 approved in the first season. The junior coaching and youth recruitment requests were shot down for a long time but they finally caved in and now both have been approved once. I think off the back of this season it should be possible to get both approved at the start of next season but we will see. SQUAD NEWS We had one retirement in the form of our 36 year old central defender Curtis McDonald who actually ended up missing the end of the season with a fairly lengthy injury. Ryan Hillier, who had scored 27 in 30 starts and 12 assists should be back for the start of the new season following his leg break and at 5 star current ability I really need him to be. I will start to phase out a few of the older players (John Owen for example who will be 33 at the start of the new season who scored 34 in 43 starts and 15 assists). Here is the squad as it stands just now (minus a few youth players moved to U19s): The Best XI for the season shows all but 1 over 7.00 average rating in a really pleasing first season. The 4-2-4 asymmetric formation was required as I didn't have a left winger and a left back but its actually what I used in Iceland and it worked really well here. I did go to 4-2-4 when Darlington was injured as I then played a grey left back and Huxley went to left wing. BINGO CARD Lots of targets met this season thanks to doing an unbeaten league season and a treble: NEO_GEO'S FINAL THOUGHTS Thank you Wales, I can't recall the last time I had so much fun in the opening season of this challenge. Playing and beating teams from the division above with just 11 actual players this season fills me hope for the future and once again the contract at the end of the season trick worked wonders for these semi-pro players. On to season 2!

Popular Post Nottingham Forest Posted Sunday at 21:17 Popular Post Share Posted Sunday at 21:17 Dulwich Hamlet FC Season 4 2027-28 VNS A season which ended with us securing promotion back to the National after a ridiculous season. We started by continuing our unbeaten run from the end of last season and took it to 18 games. Losing Rodney Broome YP2h for three months derailed us somewhat and at one point we were 12th. However, with the league tight we started to find some form and secured 2nd place. Losing to St Albans with 3 games to go and conceding a stoppage time equaliser the game before against Wealdstone didn't help. Youth Intake Preview & Intake I kept Adaggio the previously linked HoYD and offered him a new deal. Especially after he improved a little bit and Wealdstone tried to pinch him. The intake wasn't predicted to be good this season but when we have the players we do I'll accept it. Liam Holland YP4a will be first choice next season as Sani Musa YP1b departs to Cardiff. Other Bits We say goodbye to Sani Musa YP1b who we'd agreed to sell to Cardiff in the winter for £10k plus 50% of next sale. Although managed to keep him until the summer. I can't add anymore screenshots in but been one of the most enjoyable seasons I've had on FM. Some of the talent we have is unreal.

The_Gato_In_Goal Posted Monday at 00:28 Share Posted Monday at 00:28 The board spent all of the past 2 seasons shooting me down and then come to me unprompted and are gonna take credit for the idea Whatever, I'm not complaining

Popular Post LDB Posted Monday at 09:30 Popular Post Share Posted Monday at 09:30 MATERA Season 1 2024-2025 Serie C - Group C I struggled so much in this first season. We started pretty well, it seemed very possible, until February, to avoid relegation without having to go over the stress of Play-Outs . Then we just started losing, I tried some tactical changes but nothing was working and the morale just became too low. Luckily we managed to win the Playout match against Olbia with a 4-1 aggregate and so we survived. Here the proof of no transfers but with such a awful first year I don't think there are doubts No Transfers On the good side, the Board is allowing me to get better licenses, currently studying for the National B Licence, and they accepted to improve our Youth's facilities during the 2025/2026 season. Now to the interesting part, the first round of newgens was very surprising, with 5/6 players that look promising for the level, anyway nothing that special I guess. I'll just show the 3 guys that seems better to me: Ivan Tutone/CM : Probably the best one/more ready, he did score in the decisive 2nd leg playout already Filippo Danzi/AML : Pacey winger with good dribbling and finishing for the age and level Davide Dell'Anna/LB : Left back with decent physical attributes but very bad technically TL;DR: Horrible first season on the pitch, 1 leg away from relegation / small progress off the pitch with coach licenses and little improvements to Club's facilities / good and unexpected youth intake. Probably a season just as hard awaits us now, but there's room for improvements everywhere!

Gersdude123 Posted Monday at 12:01 Share Posted Monday at 12:01 Season Review 2026/27 The season has now concluded and we have managed to stay up as we have managed to finish 11th in the Table after what started as a difficult start to the season. Come the 2nd half of the season we started to pick up some important results that helped us go on a small unbeaten run to move us up the table and secure our place in the league for Another season, I'm hoping for next season the Board allow us to try upgrade our Youth Facilities to try and get some better youth Prospects through the door. The Youth intake came back with a few players that might be able to get some play time for us next season to improve them etc hoping we can hold onto a few of the players that we integrated into the 1st team last season as they could be important for us to have try and have a better season next year.
Popular Post mschafer13 Posted Monday at 12:57 Popular Post Share Posted Monday at 12:57 Club Cipolletti 2033/34 Well....we don't have to win everything the same year to finish this challenge...is that right? Because we won the COPA Libertadores this season! Had a magical run and ended up beating Palmeiras from Brazil 4-2 in the Final. Also won Copa de la Liga profesional again, but couldn't even get close to Talleres in the league. They beat us by 10 points. Still, we were predicted to finish 26th, so I'd say 2nd and winning the Libertadores will count as a good season. Now, assuming we don't have to finish them both in the same season for this challenge, then I'm halfway there. Just need my youth to develop so we can challenge Talleres for the title (they've won 4 in a row now).
Neo_Geo Posted Monday at 13:47 Share Posted Monday at 13:47 (edited) @mschafer13 nearly there, you are correct in that you don’t need to win the title and the continental trophy in the same season. p.s. Traldon Posted Monday at 15:15 Share Posted Monday at 15:15 (edited) Thought I'd give this another try with Fm25 being delayed Edit: i should probably look at squads before starting a save like this, because we dont have a keeper, and half the squad has bids on them, still wiling to give this a go tho Edited Monday at 15:26 by Traldon
karax268 Posted Monday at 15:46 Share Posted Monday at 15:46 Well, it's almost november and that means the Fm itch is back. I've considered going back to my Cankaya save. I'd managed to win the turkish league with them before losing interest. However, it's been to long and I fancy a new save. So without further ado: G.D. Nazarenos I'm going back to Portugal. G.D. Nazerenos is based in the town of Nazere in portugal and has a stadium with a capacity of 3000 seats This is my character: And our transfer situation at the start The bookies don't rate us much, anyone care for a small wager? Glad to be back. It's been a while since i've sunk my teeth into FM and what better way than to the youth challenge
