  1. Yup, I won't be quick though, work is crazy. If I am done by Christmas I will be surprised, but I'm hoping that given how much work I put in last year it should transfer over easier than in the past.
  2. We could rebalance that ourselves as a community - it's likely a matter of raising ticket prices and TV revenue a little higher. If we could agree as a community something appropriate it would make it workable.
  3. I had a Saint Lucian team get a rich backer in my game too (Platinum FC, appropriately. Their backer just withdrew support though, so their team of mostly expensive Jamaicans might be in trouble!). When you loaded your FM23 game did the Caribbean qualification not come over too? Mine did;
  4. So a couple of islands have cool regional competitions. Saint Lucia, for example, has regional "all star" teams made up from the clubs in their region, for example Vieux Fort South would include players from the teams in that area. Grenada has something similar, those are the two I remember, but there might be more. The file you're using has effectively got the Caribbean shield, just integrated fully into the NACL. I'm wondering whether to separate it or not, as it's nice to have a trophy. Unfortunately they only live-streamed the matches and didn't record them, but I watched the mall (even posted on Twitter a best XI in my opinion). I'm hoping next year they do record it. Apologies for off-topic, but just to note I hope to have a dynamic NACL and feeding competitions, but not sure how to achieve that!
  5. Please don't hold your breath - my job is full-on during term times so I don't realistically plan on being able to complete it before Christmas. I won't play until it's made, so it's a wait for me too!
  6. I'll definitely be making it. Even going to try and add Trinidadian School football and accurate U20 competitions (who knows if it'll work). I can't start before official release as that's when the editor is out. I am hoping all-star teams work this year, as I had them all set up properly with the advanced rules last year, but they didn't work as the game clearly ignored them. I think it every year, but yes I'm hoping I can get it more fluid so you're not stuck in the earliest stages. I'm wondering if I have a hidden stage where the game ranks teams by their reputation and then use that to feed them into rounds... I've never been able to get something similar to dynamic coefficients work, but with the official coefficients being released it might be possible this year.
  7. Crazy good stuff. I was wondering how you held on to Carillo, then I saw his WAGE lol. That's the sort of cash you have to lay down to keep him I guess? I'm genuinely shocked an American or Canadian team hasn't nicked him yet. He must be at his potential or nearly there.
  8. Totally hijacking, but just to note that the French Caribbean has specific cup competitions for the French Cup qualifications in the editors :)
  9. 1. Cuba seems to treat these as separate, and a combined league stage is made misleading due to the randomness of excluding the bottom half of the Apertura for the Clausura. Turns out the league was bugged - Apertura winner wouldn't go through to the next round! I'm going to fix this bug in the next version. 2. There is already a grand final (Champions Playoff) for the competition. I'm not sure how ranking levels would play out with this league and it would take forever to work out (finish 8th in the Apertura, their lowest ranking is 8th, but what is the highest? If I set 0, is it saying they can finish first in the Apertura (false) or the whole thing?) The club's history graphs generally display this correctly. 3. I've incorporated this into the game - 15 home-grown club players, 25 home-grown from nation. I'm not sure the AI can handle more than that! 4. Interesting, I just used TV money as a quick and easy way to allocate money. I've done it more realistically for you in the next update - clubs now get participation money before the Aperture and Clausura, depending on if they are amateur (£2k), Semi-pro (£3.5k, so same money as I had before), or Professional (£7k, double the state subsidy). Relatedly, I've tried to put in national service, but not sure how that'll work.
  10. Yes I do, no major changes but bug fixes. Will put accurate T&T Can't verify until this bug is fixed;
  11. No regulations against promoting B teams in the Cayman Islands - a couple years ago there were 1st team and B team in the top flight! Looks interesting
  12. Latinos would be interesting, as they are predominantly South American players (can't remember if I set the newgens up for them though)
  13. I'm so invested in this - can't wait to see you compete in the NACL. I reckon that's possible once you get to Saint Kitts
  14. In case you were wondering about the real OneLove, they just beat Old Madrid 8-0!
  15. Need to start games with more players really. It's an unfair advantage to New Vibes' opponents.
  16. Annoying, but something the game is getting right from a simulation perspective. A lot of clubs will have managers for ages in the lower leagues in the Caribbean.
  17. If I remember correctly its a short season in the USVIR, so should be interesting
  18. That sucks, there are a lot of people who make lots of leagues without testing. My Caribbean Megapack has all accurate and tested leagues - Puerto Rico funnily enough only has one level in reality so they didn't get that right either... If you want a hard, long slog then pick Trinidad or Jamaica. If you want a medium slog, then pick one of the French nations (Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Haiti) or Suriname (competitive leagues, reasonably enough to go a distance in the Caribbean Cup). Otherwise you'll find it's easy to dominate domestically but hard to break the NACL (e.g. Guyana with the insane number of regional leagues below the first division, Barbados, Antigua, Curacao, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent all have 3 leagues to sink your teeth into). Some of those leagues have interesting rules. Saint Kitts only has two levels, but draconian discipline rules.
  19. I'm not surprised, Academy Eagles is the TCIFA's academy team, so basically the best youth players in one place. Their youth coaching is probably much higher than anyone else's
  20. You've reached the point where you can afford to hire Haitian players, so you'll find it easier now lol. They're a good nation in the region, but their average wage is significantly lower.
  21. Why have we glossed over the fact he finished 4th in the CFU!!! He was literally 2 extra time goals away from Mexican and American clubs
  22. I've saved this post in my mind to go back to, as there are some great suggestions I don't have time to implement at the moment
