  1. Here, I just changed the "start year" of the version with Russian teams so it doesn't start, and changed the "end year" of the default ACL (well, touched up with real sub rules and prize money) so it keeps going with no Russia: download. You can run this without any of my "Russian clubs in..." files, otherwise it's fully compatible with all my work and anything else that doesn't touch the AFC Champions League. I don't think there are club tourneys like that for the Indian Ocean, although they have them in handball so maybe something to model after. You'd think COSAFA would do something as well, but I guess the big South African teams have regular Champs League (and now AFL) already so South Africa doesn't need to host and pay for everything like usual. Have you seen the Ligue Antilles in my CONCACAF file? Similar idea for the French Overseas Regions in the Caribbean. I just saw last night there's the Czech-Slovak Super Cup already in the DB, you can see it under "game detail"/"intercontinental", it must be set to appear under each country instead of "Europe" though. Love little two-country Super Cups like that (except the Campeones Cup for some reason), they should have in more places
  2. Maybe also try copying and pasting the "finances" from teams at a similar level, so they keep a similar budget. That's partly why I did the San Diego thing (also just being lazy), they already function as a second tier club, just changed up the name/stadium/city/logos
  3. TMC Arab and African Club Cups. That's why I kept the same file name just with EXPANDED. Same file that has the Arab Champions Cup, African Football (Super) League, etc. (it was easier to edit this way when I had them as a base for quick reference to dates, formats etc)
  4. 2022 + 2022 = 2044 in FM math somehow. I'm terrible at programming but I think it's like 2000 is year 0? So it sees that date issue as 22+22
  5. Yeah so you've still got a 2022 date somewhere when it should be 2000 (or 2001 if it's a fall-spring season)
  6. Fixture congestion maybe? Any chance that Asian Champions League/AFC Cup dates are causing conflicts and fixtures to bunch up? Hard to tell without looking at the file. Could just be an errant date somewhere (2001 where 2000 should be, or something like that)
  7. Try using a "fixture rules" for that stage that doesn't have a "competition" specified under fixture rules maybe
  8. Guessing you've got 2000 as the "base year for dates" but are putting 2022 dates elsewhere (like fixture dates)
  9. Similarly, here's the Arab and African Club Cups file expanded to include the Kagame Interclub Cup for East African teams, with the planned dates for 2023. This one's played over a couple of weeks in July.
  10. Cheers, I noticed one little date issue and uploaded the newest one 10 minutes ago, just re-download if you were the 1 person who grabbed it before then
  11. Here's an expanded version of the Russian clubs--->AFC file that also includes the ASEAN Club Championship, as if it started this fall (2023) like the original plan. I've gone with the 3 foreigners rule + 1 Asian + unlimited Southeast Asians, which was also talked about, thanks to the available editor options. Re: the "except Southeast Asian" option, it's awesome to have but might preclude us from considering inviting teams in some years, like from Australia, East Bengal, East Timor, and PNG.
  12. I am tempted to add tournaments that were planned (and in some cases, even scheduled with prize money announced), as there was an intention to have them on the calendar and you have to feel that if real-life problems like scheduling, flights, and visas weren't an issue (which they aren't in FM-world... mostly), then they would have gone ahead. They also have the advantage of giving smaller teams the odd win, so that when they play bigger teams in the CL their morale isn't rock-bottom from just continually taking heavy beatings (assuming you don't have their domestic league loaded). Kagame is just held as a one-off over a a couple of weeks in a neutral venue, mind you. And I think the ASEAN club cup, which keeps getting delayed one year, was to run throughout the year with teams not otherwise qualified for ACL. That's still good for spreading some prize money around the various countries and giving more players actual games in active competitions to scout.
  13. Oh, and the UCL ends up in a weird cycle after 10+ seasons or so where only the teams in the qualifiers get coefficient points, so every year there's a switch where the teams playing the qualifiers get enough coefficient points to move to the top and everyone else drops back down (for one year). I think I can set it so the FCL will control coefficients instead, just need to work on that without breaking them. EDIT: If I get the energy I'll work a project (maybe for FM24) merging the qualifying/structural changes here with @Dallan's epic work on coefficients in his Worldwide Champions League thread
  14. You'll be pleased then, the latest file shifts the prize money all onto the FIFA CL. The UEFA one is hard-coded in a weird way, so it doesn't crown a champion like the other confederations getting points from the FCL groups (all working now), meaning I couldn't get Europe to assign points and rankings the way I wanted in UCL. That's fine, because the FCL takes care of all that, while teams from the other confeds still have a chance to win their own continental cup by doing well in the FCL groups. This way, the Euro teams don't lose any potential prize money, but everyone else gets a massive bump. So, teams like Hekari United end up with $15 mil one season while their domestic rivals run on a budget of $1K or so. Lol, it will be interesting to see how that works in a playable league. Do they hoard the money? Do they share it around by buying up young talent, effectively building a nation? Does the AI get confused and just keep it in the bank without upping transfer or wage budgets? If anyone's run a couple of seasons with this in a smaller league somewhere, let us know how it's going
  15. I guess any Arab countries will have the Arab Club Cup each summer, otherwise I haven't added any regional-only cups. Was tempted to add the Kagame Inter-Club Cup but it hasn't been played in a little while. The AFL draws the highest rep clubs from a bunch of top nations semi-randomly
  16. What if you just opened the DB, added a filter to the people search so only people with number of changes = "at least 1" show up, then select them all and go to "changes" and press clear (might have to make the same single change on all of them just so the option to clear comes up)
  17. We should just move a Chilean 2nd or 3rd tier team (and their full time players) to Rapa Nui. I wonder if any active teams in FM23 went bust or anything, they'd be an ideal candidate
  18. If you have the Australian rules open in the editor. Under A-League/Other League Stage Settings/Continental Cup rules I'm guessing there's some kind of exclusion for Phoenix you could remove
  19. That looks brilliant. The groups are probably a bit easy for Phoenix but it's better than coming straight in at the knockouts I think. San Diego-->Hawaii is a fun idea because it's an instant rival at a roughly similar level Love the joint club/country saves like that, I used to get a kick out of Bermuda in the US fourth division along with their national team (Island Games ftw). Same with Puerto Rico + Puerto Rico FC, or Toronto FC and Canada U20s, etc. Just have to ignore the temptation to call up all of your rivals' players for meaningless friendlies just to weaken them when they overlap with big games
  20. I think Crimea have some weird hard-coding (at least in FM23), not sure they can be repurposed properly. You can't click on them at all IIRC. So weird, not sure their "league" that FM put in as a compromise has even been played in a few years. I'd like to see those two teams in the Russian leagues just for accuracy if nothing else. I guess they could compromise with "based nation" in Crimea but who knows what that would do for newgens
  21. At one point Rusty was experimenting with a scenario where (I think) if a team was in the Super League, their reserves were automatically selected for the domestic league instead. Interesting idea, just weird for history entries and such. Maybe a dedicated 'B' team (like the Spanish B teams that are a different club entirely) would work better
  22. Sounds doable with the extinct nations. I scratched that itch with my Island Games stuff so it doesn't really interest me, but you could totally look at that file as a rough guide on how to add new nations like that. Bir Tawil? You gonna move there and claim a new country? Sounds like it needs a short story written alongside the file to explain who's actually living and playing there
  23. The Wellington file has the associate members (and Wallis) as of last night, previously it was just in another OFC cleanup file I had on Steam. Don't think I added them to the Hawaii file but you'd have to check. IIRC it's just a matter of copying and pasting from a file that has them to one that doesn't - specifically the ranking level info for the overall competition, the "qualified teams" page, and the preliminary stage itself. Everything else can adjust. Was looking at Rapa Nui, at the moment they'd be way too underpowered for any playable Chilean league, open to ideas though. If you want to make a fantasy file where they have a roster and are buffed a bit I can put them in the O-League alongside Hawaii (maybe we expand to 24 teams at that point and drop the prelims)
  24. Fixing up the CAF prize money, and put Ceuta and Melilla (as long as they're not active in Europe) into the early stages of the African Champions League from 2023 (along with the champions of Mayotte and Réunion). The teams with the lowest division reputations come in one round early now: Like with the Russian teams in AFC, these CL games don't actually show up in Ceuta or Melilla's fixture list, but they're played. DOWNLOAD (backup) Between this and my other continental files, I think we've got every country sending a team to a CL somewhere, i.e. every club from every country has a path to the CWC. Or am I missing any random CAF or OFC associate members? CAF - CL adds Mayotte and Réunion AFC - CL adds Russia OFC - CL adds Wellington, and teams from Tuvalu, Micronesia, Kiribati, and Wallis/Futuna CONCACAF - Caribbean Club Shield expands to include teams from every CFU country, along with Saint Barts and Saint Pierre Expanding the football world one tournament at a time!
