  1. Right, but they're based in Andorra already, so that may just be a function of their based nation/city/stadium site, like Cardiff producing Welsh newgens, rather than any hard-coding. Ah, I should've taken a closer look, although this thread can focus on the editing potential... I've thought about taking a bunch of these teams and making a SuperLeague of high-rep franchises, each with their own gimmick (one can only sign dual nationals, one can only sign academy products, etc)
  2. FC Andorra are that Andorran club in the Spanish second tier (owned by Piqué) but I don't think they have any necessarily unique properties outside of that... But you've jogged my memory, I think it's FC Lusitans
  3. Interesting idea. Would take ages to change all the people and clubs from that city but likely worth a shot. Do you have experience making that kind of big change work? My only concern is they'd still be in the old Russian local regions (can't duplicate those), and there are only 5 or so old Belarusian ones (all under Belarus now) so it's not practical to move them all into those. I tried moving all the Belarusian cities into Smolensk Oblast to see if it helped, but nada
  4. Any idea off the top of your head which guys came back to Japan and need to be re-added? I don't see Lincoln in the default 23.0 or 23.3 DBs, do you have an older version where someone created him already? Feels like too much power for me
  5. Cheers. Still getting an issue where most of the top clubs have too many of their newgens coming from Belarusian cities, I've tried a few different options. Not ideal, obviously, but much better than the previous attempts. This may have to stay beta until we can figure something durable out
  6. Can we make a definitive list? Teams that can be repurposed for various projects with certain transfer rules or other quirks hard-coded, like Athletic Bilbao being restricted to signing players with Pays Basque second nationality. Bermuda Hogges - can only sign players with dual nationality of nation/based nation (the rule shows as only players from based nation in-game) Chivas USA - I believe they can only sign Mexicans? Can this be repurposed? Chertanovo - Russian team limited to signing academy graduates - i.e. homegrown at club? I believe this can be written over and used elsewhere Aren't there lower division clubs in England and Andorra that are hard-coded to produce Romanian and Portuguese newgens or something like that?
  7. Turning our attention to the various border quirks and irredentist ambitions in Europe now, as we search for potential projects to bring Russia back in from the cold...
  8. Have you unchecked that box in "preferences" for every game being played on the same day
  9. New WAFF Championship file up in the first post, recognizes the plan to squeeze it in on non-FIFA dates in July/August 2024, and quadrennial from there due to limited space on the calendar. Also cleaned up some of the other regional tournaments, the CAFA Championship in the Baltic Cup file is a great complement to my Iran Pro League
  10. I went through the players file and deleted a bunch of the duplicates that arose from the official game updates, i.e. checking all the outgoing transfers in J1/2/3 for the last couple of windows and searching the file to see if there were any doubles. This leaves just the default game version of, like, some of the young lads who went to Europe, Brazilians who went home, etc (and Kazu Miura!). These guys were (re-)added to the default DB in an update, but weren't there in the fall so were included in the players DB here (I've removed the redundant created version). Hopefully Robles and Karin don't mind, if so I'll take it down, but here's the player file with those changes. I may have missed a few, let me know if you spot any duplicates left.
  11. Sound advice from seasoned editors >>> content farming videos on Youtube from people who don't know what they're doing
  12. You can edit the internationals, it's just a lot of work. My Copa America/Gold Cup file does some chopping and changing with the Nations League, you can take a look at that. Guessing your issue is from "registered teams", I'd get rid of all of that and just use "qualified teams" or the "teams" list itself. Maybe get rid of that "real life teams" entry too, although I'm not sure it does anything. In the Gold Cup as well, check that box under "qualified teams" to erase whatever teams it thinks have already qualified using it's own weird hard-coding since you're taking complete control
  13. At some point my graphics for competitions stopped showing up, although all club logos, facepacks etc are still fine. I have them mapped to a different drive than C, but as mentioned everything else is working fine. Do these need to be in a higher subfolder or anything since the last couple of updates?
  14. I've had luck with 25x18 canvas, or maybe 25x16 if that doesn't work edit: although I'm looking at some of the stuff I've done for FM23 and it's all 25x11, with the flag itself only 18x11 and the rest taken up by cut-out space
  15. Always updating for transfers and any little issues that crop up, nothing gamebreaking, just stuff like how well the game handles postponing dates if there's a clash
  16. In advanced, heck sometimes I'll build an entire competition from scratch by just adding "rules" and starting to check boxes. Here, I've been relying on the auto-generated reserves/U21s for convenience and because there's no weird formats in my leagues (except for the U21 cup here which I had to add myself because the default checkbox option seems kind of glitchy, and I just changed its name so it looks like the default naming convention). Re: setting up the reserves in general, it took me ages to realize you had to do it in multiple places: And make sure each team has that reserve team type set up: And for clean-up, you may want to go into the club staff and change any wrong staff roles (e.g. a U18 coach at a team that only has a U19 team) and fix them
  17. Here's the Persian Gulf Pro League in Iran: DOWNLOAD (backup) With 84,000+ attendance at the Tehran derbies and the league/teams insanely well-researched already, this was a lot of fun to bring the CAFA region to life and really needs to be in any Asian long-term save. Testing in the future for finances, durability, etc., let me know if you notice something off. As usual, if you see I'm missing anything in my research, particularly any Persian readers, please point me in the right direction. Screenshots:
  18. Just use "get last winner" for "World Cup" in either "teams" in stage settings or "qualified teams" further down, you don't need both, if you end up using "qualified teams" at the bottom then under "teams" in stage settings just put "get lowest seeded qualified teams". Then if you're redoing qualifying you can tell it to ignore the "get last winner" team and have it flexible enough to accommodate having 1 to 2 less teams (winner and host)
  19. Rounds within the same stage are cleaner. Easier to work out who ends up where and deal with rankings, scheduling etc all in one place. You also get the "tree" for knockout rounds which people obviously want in-game. Separtae stages for each round are merited sometimes though when you want a fate action to take place immediately after a round, or another stage somewhere else to be able to start with winners/losers from that round (separate from the present competition) so it has that stage under "requirements"
  20. I might be missing something obvious. But it makes sense for Taiwan, they have a unique naming system which might be messed with by them having the Chinese "language" if not for their hard-coded name list. Guessing the same will apply to the other nations in the Sinosphere. You'd think North Korea could just act as a blank slate and get names/newgen appearances from the "region" (northeastern Europe now, despite being set in Asia) or the existing player pool, like some of the extinct nations let you do, but they might hard-code it to the overall Korean namepool so that they can benefit from the greater variation by including South Korea
  21. Under round settings, scroll down a bit and it's there. All the rounds are in the same stage?
  22. Well this has come to pass, San Marino Academy (who participate in the Italian youth system) will send a U22/U23 team to the Campianato: https://www.sanmarinortv.sm/sport/calcio-sammarinese-c15/si-chiamera-san-marino-academy-under-22-e-partecipera-al-campionato-sammarinese-a242104 Great news for youth development. I've added them for 2023, they can't qualify for Europe or the Coppa Titano but they can qualify for the postseason playoffs - I haven't seen them finish high enough for a European spot, but I think it will skip them if they do. I'll keep testing but let me know if you see otherwise. I don't think it's generating more newgens for the added U23 reserve team, just using them from the existing U20s and U18s. This may require more testing as well. It does look a bit weird in the team order coming between those two, but and I don't wanna mess with their default standing in the Primavera so this seems like the best option. I've also adjusted the schedule slightly for this coming season to accommodate the announced dates for the Super Cup and the start of the season, and the slightly staggered kick off times this year at 3 PM and 6 PM to accommodate women's footy. September edit: I've cleaned up the U23s a bit, so they function the way we want without looking like a weird reserve team. Also changed it so that your home games are actually scattered across 7 or 8 stadia throughout the land, in line with real life: Enjoy your tour throughout the country!
  23. Probably something under each "round", "next round for winner" and "next round for loser" needs to correspond to the right round numbers
  24. I think it's intended to do what you say, but whether they actually coded it properly might be another question. Probably requires testing - I imagine the plan would be like you imagine, i.e., most of the squad can meet up a week early but anyone whose club is involved in a game during the period leading up to the "late meet up" date would be allowed to come then
  25. At one point it had to be minimum 3 days or you'd get stuck at squad number selection (which happened at 3 days prior to the tournament even if you set it lower). Not sure if they fixed that
