  1. That doesn't mean they aren't working on. They've posted in here multiple times. There's typically never a hotfix because that would require retesting a bunch of concurrent work on the new production version of the game with the hotfix. They don't have time to do that. At least wait for the next update to be released before we go all pitchforks on the devs.
  2. Oh my what a great piece of business that is. Well done.
  3. definitely the best way to do it. Though I'm waiting for someone to respond they overwrote their current windows folder and completely borked their PC. Common rookie mistake for people using dosbox trying to install even older windows versions.
  4. Because I've won games using mid blocks on balanced/cautious mentality. And lost to teams that sit back while i'm pressing. Counter attacking could be a bit more direct at times but it's not some impossible task. You need to have the right players performing the right roles just like in real life. There's a reason why so many teams press. There's a shortage of press resistant players. Pressing players with low composure will result in more poor decisions which result in mistakes and goals. Sounds like you're ignoring a key attribute for escaping a press and getting punished. Have a read in the tactics forum:
  5. No it wasn't. There was a huge issue with away teams not scoring enough goals AND centerbacks being completely fatigued by halftime just to start. Even SI came out and admitted FM23 was bad.
  6. The only evidence we have of imbalance is a select few people who don't seem to know how to set up defensive tactics in 24. The game is much more complicated than FM13 in terms of instructions and where players can go. Coupled with there's now team cohesion and tactical familiarity that didn't exist until a few years ago. In this engine, you can't just pick a defensive formation and mentality not take into account how the other team is playing. The way players can rotate positions (IWB, IFB, LIB etc) mean you have to figure out your defensive shape and who marks who in defence. Playing defensively requires much more organization and if your team has poor concentration, positioning, and anticipation you're probably in for a bad time. Its not really a secret as to why pressing works so well. Teams at the top have been trending and building towards that direction for years. Players have been training and developed to fit into that mold. Trying to make them play the complete opposite way is of course going to cause worse results in the short term. Trying to do nothing but park the bus for an entire season is obviously going to make you perform worse than trying to be proactive with and without the ball. The last bit of it is some basic human psychology. Are we all really going to sit and watch match after match of a video game where most of our actions are defensive? Where we're barely hanging onto a 1-0 draw or hope to survive vs endless attacks? People are going to gravitate towards their team having the majority of highlights where there is something positive (like a shot or goal). So its no wonder many of the tactics that are put out are ultra aggressive that rack up 30 shots and score 5 goals are posted everywhere. I'm sure if there was the same focus someone could make a diablo tactic that would consistently reverse FM the game.
  7. No I quite think you're missing the point about Stutter. He could have been valued and sold for more if he had a longer contract. Liverpool clearly thinks much more highly of him than Chelsea did and that value reflects it. News to me. Congrats? So post a bug on the bug forum with specific details about how it's broken. Or wait until their contract runs down or they fall out of favor with the club? If you want to buy everyone's best in form player you're going to have to pay up now. Secondly you're a human. You're significantly more capable of thinking 2-3 game years down the road. You're upset that the AI might have a small advantage to compensate for its inability to think? Keeping hold of players is not difficult. Renew key player contracts before they reach two years left. If they're adamant about moving let them have their temper tantrum and move on. Everyone will get over it. And, if a team is that interested you can get them to pay over the odds for a player. I've not once had a mutiny. Are you walking into a PL club with no badges and no mental attributes? Sounds like the players don't respect you if they're causing issues. Everyone good is linked to Real Madrid. Mbappe has been a Real Madrid player for 3 years if you listened to Marca. Just because Halaand doesn't leave City (which btw he has a personal connection to) doesn't mean the transfer market is broken. I've seen plenty of transfer activity in the games I've played.
  8. I have no idea what you're trying to say here to be honest.
  9. One team probably isn't really enough to cause a change in valuation and/or it could have been rumoured interest only. There's no potential for a bidding war if only one team is interested. Stutters contract is completely relevant because valuation decreases as contracts run down generally. If he had 12 months left that would be a completely plausible explanation for why his value was 9M and immediately increased after he was awarded a new contract. I wouldn't even know where to begin to start calculating how rep increases. Liverpool is very clearly above Chelsea at the moment though so its possible that a player moving from Chelsea to Liverpool experiences a significant rep boost. And if you don't like any of these answers see the post above for what the mechanic may actually be.
  10. There's a spike in interest for the last player and you don't know if they've agreed to a price at all with the player. That seems pretty self explanatory. More teams interest = higher price. Its basic economics. Stutter's case is peculiar but did you sell him on a contract that was winding down? Also the idea the transfer value should be static is probably an incorrect assumption. He probably got a big rep boost going to Liverpool, the management team might think more highly of him than yours did and they just purchased him. It could be a bug it might be how it's expected to work. If you think you have a case then open a bug report with those two saves.
  11. Yep its QOL/immersion issue that doesn't really change much of how you play barring doing some crazy things.
  12. All of this strikes me as the game showing you what your board set player prices as "fair value". Not what you would sell for or what they could be sold for but what the board sets as a target to "help" you not get hosed. They won't be happy if you get less than what is listed. IRL player values are listed as assets on a balance sheet so if a club is counting on a player's value to be X and you cash in for less their books are affected in a negative way. The AI on the other hand is showing you what it would take to buy this player right now rather than what their board set as minimum acceptable values - obviously for negotiation purposes. A good test would be to start a new manager (without picking the team) and look at player values and see if they are any different than what they show as your manager.
  13. Totally fair then. I don't expect it to be an A+ grade. There should be some let down of letting that kind of player go that caps the fan reaction. Not knowing your club's finances but if that turned the club a huge profit I would expect a B there. Especially considering you got a 50% next sale clause too! (I'd hope the board gave you an A+ on that). I've seen grades change over time as results of the team go up and down. I'd hope that if your team went on a nice little run or the funds were reinvested into the squad the grade would improve after the initial sting wore off. And yeah its never really causes enough problems that I think I need to report anything immediately. Always just kind of whatever as long as I win that grade doesn't matter. The match grades are much more annoying when you win 2-0 or 3-0 and get a C because the fans expected 4+ goals or something. Just little things. But when I get back to playing 24 (took a hiatus while the scouting is bugged) I'll see if I can compile some reports for the dev team.
  14. Not game breaking but it is annoying that if you sell anyone who "isn't expected to make the first team" by the fans its basically impossible to get anything other than a C or F/E when you sell a player. I could see a grade like that for when Manchester United sold Ronaldo or Barca sold Neymar as they aren't selling clubs. Fans aren't happy a star was sold but recognize the team got good value. For smaller clubs there should be much more weight on if you sold the player far above value.
  15. I played 13 and thought the ball physics were way, way off. You'd have crazy banana ball effects or marble in a bathtub.
  16. I'd suspect when FM signed a license to use the Unity engine payments to Unity were specified in the contract. I doubt very much this affected them within this contract cycle. Unity can't just change the terms of the contract because their CEO made up some dumb pay to play idea.
  17. Great so now we know its your tactics. I overheard your star striker thinks you're not fit to manage a paper route let alone a football team. (I don't think he was being sarcastic)
  18. probably has low pressure/important matches attribute and/or poor consistency.
  19. Just for a comparison, I went back to fm23 (albeit demo version) to compare recruitment focuses to 24. Here's the focus details for 23 and the results after a month. 1 Recommendation and 33 near matches with reasons why they weren't recommended. This definitely does not occur in 24. @SI team if you want the save I can send it.
  20. Are you running a small number of leagues with lots of players loaded?
  21. Theoretically speaking... if penalties are expected to score about 80% of the time then about 1.5% of them will be tied after 5 shooters. After that we basically flip a weighted coin. Getting 34 successes in a row (shots 6 to 22 for each team) has a probability of .0005 or .05% chance. So .015 * .0005 = 0.0000075 or a .00075% chance of happening. Something like 1 in 133,333 shootouts.
  22. Hi Zach, Yes this happened two seasons in a row. I didn't notice the first season. looks like it started in the 2026/27 season and continued into the 27/28 season. I've uploaded two saves. PreScheduleBug.fm and ScheduleBug.fm
  23. Even if they don't have the cuts inside from wing do players on their weak side cut in naturally? I think I remember reading something like playing a Mez on their strong side will cause them to bring the ball wide vs on their weaker side they'll bring the ball inside. Do wingers follow this same logic?
