DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2022/23 Rot-Weiss Essen Season Summary A fabulous first season as we ran away with the title. Second tier here we come! Season Details League Table - As soon as we settled down, we churned out win after win and romped to the title and promotion to the second tier with three games remaining. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - After a tough start, we lost two of our first three games, we soon settled down and enjoyed a terrific second half of the season. Pre Season Friendlies - We enjoyed a great pre season campaign, winning all matches except one, where we narrowly lost to top flight RB Leipzig. Squad - We played above ourselves and need a lot of improvement in order to challenge foe another promotion. Squad Dynamics - After such a good season, it is exceptional. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - A few departures on loan, though no permanent moves yet. Youth Candidates - We were blessed with a terrific intake, with striker Nicolas Odenthal YP23F6 looking like a great prospect. Finances - We lost money this season and as a result we are only just in the black. The prize money in the second tier means I am not worried, however. Key Players Yannick Langesberg - The centre half played way above his level. Thomas Eisfeld - Our best player by some distance, keeping hold of the versatile midfielder or winger will be vital going forward. Sandro Plechaty - Right back who can also play on either wing if required, he was excellent all year. Simon Engelmann - Our main striker enjoyed a reasonable campaign, scoring 21 goals in 36 appearances. Daniel Davari - The veteran Iranian international goalkeeper was dependable, though not outstanding. Next Season I feel a mid table finish would be great. Daddy
2022 Midseason Review: Season is flying by! Based on board and media expectations this is about what I expected. Started off with a ton of players complaining about playing time etc, but that seems to be settling down and the squad appears to fit the system I like well. Intake Preview: I was hoping for a strong keeper as I only have two in whole system and one is 36. Will never complain about defensive help though.
Popular Post WhiteCat33
Nogometni Klub Pobrezje: 2045/46 – Slovenian 1st Liga (Season 22) Season Review: https://imgur.com/a/RqToBZG Manager Note: Its been a couple weeks since I've posted in the thread as I've been playing in shorter sessions and haven't taken the time to come on here and compile the season summaries. Due to that I'm 3 seasons behind in my updates so expect a few posts coming my way as I sift back through my Word doc where I jot my journey and save all my screenshots. Its getting slightly long at this point... So here begins our 60 pages of updates in Slovenia! Performance Euro Cup! Last year we won the Domestic Cup so we get our first attempt at the next tier of continental competition. We started in the qualifiers with a difficult first draw of Basel, with 4 Swiss Internationals as well as some others it was a tough matchup. We started strong with a 3-1 Home Victory, which we followed with a shocking away domination winning 4-1 for a 7-2 aggregate victory. Next we traveled up to Denmark to play Aarhus Gymnastic Forening (AFG). Again we had a stellar home performance registering a 4-1 victory, and then we held our GD with a 2-2 draw when we traveled to Denmark (games). With that we qualified for Euro Cup Group Stage! And here is the group we got assigned: If you take a look at the Team Rosters all are fully stacked with players with Besiktas collecting lots of old foreign internationals in the twilight of their careers, and Club Brugge and Bodo/Glimt almost exclusively domestic players as you'd expect without their leagues loaded. As a reminder, while I played 1st team to get us to the group stage we are still in the building phase of the club and will be playing our 2nd choice players in all these group stage fixtures to save our starters for the league. Objective of the season was just to reach the Group Stage for the prize money, so everything else form here is gravy. EC Group Stage: For playing our 2nd string players I'm more than happy with a 3rd place finish and getting victory money from 2 games. Importantly our away goals/GD vs Besiktas secured us the 3rd place so we get to drop down to EC2 for a First Knockout match. Here we will be headed back to Norway as we drew Rosenborg. VAR absolutely wrecked me here. In the first fixture they took away 2 goals in our home 0-0 draw, and again took away 2 goals from us in what became an away collapse where we lost 3-2 in Extra Time after Rosenborg scored a 92" goal to tie us. Sometimes it just doesn't go your way... Cup: We made it to the Final where it was a repeat of us facing off against our cross-town rival Maribor who are the undisputed leaders domestically as they claim their 6th consecutive domestic title. While we were able to upset them last year and steal the cup away, it wasn't to be this year. With our DLP getting a surprise straight red 20 minutes into the match it was all downhill from there as we lost 2-0. League We performed well enough in the league to keep us going back to Europe, which again is all that matters right now as we continue to improve the club. At Christmas Break we were in a distant 4th with 31 points while the top two were tied at 40. And we more or less remained there the remainder of the season getting our EC2 qualification in a very distant 4th place at 59 points while the top 3 were all 72-77 points. Squad Transfer We had our first Fee Release snipe before the season started as Luka Panic 41b wouldn't negotiate a new contract after he locked us into a very low 1.1M release clause. AC Milan saw him as a steal and did just that. Youth Academy YI Preview Youth Intake To emphasize how bad it is, one of the best players is a Latvian who has only had 6 months to train with us from his club. At least the link is doing something? Striker is something? I also took a LB because we still don’t have a good one and I just need to keep building depth there. Trashed the rest. Bummer intake man. Will give my U19 coach another year, maybe he’s a mistake? On paper he looks great though… Poach: New Affiliates: 1 - FK Spartaks Jurmala: Latvia ; This is the 5th ranked club in Latvia, who have adequate Youth Recruitment. I was able to negotiate the 'Youth Recruit' option before intake, hence our CAM 2 - FK Suduva Marijampole: Lithuania ; This is the 2nd ranked club in Lithuania, who have Average Youth Recruitment. Wasn't able to renegotiate to get players before intake, but was over summer so we will get Lithuanian players in the future. New HOYD, as I said above was using the U19 manager, however at the end of the season he was stolen by Olimpija so now this will be our man finding players, or so I hoped... Club Upgrades We put that extra Euro Cup money to use with basically 6.5M worth of facility improvements. Awards/ Records Due to some heavy injuries Oblak 35d has lost the league goalscorer record sooner than I expected from Pusnik 38b Winning the Cup got me Coach of the Year And this was weird as they call him a 'rookie' but he's been our starting AMR since he turned 17... Rankings We hit top 100! And in the biggest shocker of all time Slovenia is the 10th Highest Rated Nation! Shows how our clubs are consistently making it into the group stages, though as of yet no Slovenian club has won any continental trophy. Summary Overall we had a good season with the exception of the Youth Intake, which was awful. You'll find out soon if that was a one off or if we're in the midst of the opposite of a golden generation... Popular Post XaW
XaW - Holbæk Bold- & Idrætsforening - Season 2023/24 - 3. Division Squad | Transfers | Finances We improved quite a bit this season, and of course, having a youth intake to fill out the squad is very helpful. I did some changes to the tactic to fit in the new players a bit better, and we got more solid defensively, but struggled to score at times. The trade-off seems to be a net positive thought, so I stuck with it. The start was a bit slow, but after a few late losses, we managed to turn things around and get in some wins. At the end of the initial phase we were actually top of the table, but only by a few points on Brønshøj and FA 2000. In the Promotion stage we had a bad start and dropped down a bit and Brønshøj ran away from the rest of us. FA 2000 had an even worse time, while FC Vestsjælland had a good run. In the end we beat Ringkøbing in the final match to claim the 2nd spot behind Brønshøj to get promoted into the 3rd tier next season. Sydbank Pokalen: Another tough draw, once again against a 2nd tier team in Nykøbing. We lost to them in the 1st round. Still losing money, and this season the board haven't invested anything. Hope we make money next season. On a more positive note, we turned semi-professional after the promotion was secured, finally I can sign up my players for contracts! Youth intake: Not horrible, and we got in some nice talents. Emil Juhl 24a looks like a really nice playmaker, I need defenders, and Allan Warming 24c is a nice addition, even if he is not as tall as I usually like in defenders. Popular Post libbyshuss
Spain Marbella FC La Liga 2032/33 (season 11) Season Summary Annoyingly inconsisten but consistent enough to stay out of trouble. Another season in La Liga beckons! Cup exit in the third round again. I never, ever do well in cup competitions in any save. I dunno why.... Players Axel Jeremie Munier 30A - the star of the side and still only 18. He has two years left on his contract and is complaining that he wants to move to a bigger club and won't think about signing a new one. I may only have him for one more season..... Also, he won this It's still a young team so I got high hopes in a few season when they've all aged a bit Youth Possibly my best ever preview and intake! it was lovely! Look at all those A grades! And then the intake came in. Look at those elite talents! Best of the bunch might be Diego, but who knows. There's 10 possible stars in there! Wonderkids Munier is still number 1! But they only one on the list now..... Finances and Updates Low wages and 30m+ TV money means lots of lovely upgrades! Career I got offered a new job! But I had to turn it down...... Popular Post WhiteCat33
Nogometni Klub Pobrezje: 2046/47 – Slovenian 1st Liga (Season 23) Season Review: https://imgur.com/a/b1Pj2db Performance EC2 - 3rd Qualifier Our qualification campaign began with facing a full grey FC Vluntari squad out of Romania. We didn't show up when we visited them losing 1-0, but we salvaged it with a dominant 5-0 victory at home. We then got the same AGF from Denmark that we faced last year in the Euro Cup. We did well at home with a 4-2 win, though we picked up injuries to 2 of our starting AMs. Unfortunately the replacements didn't show and we got shown up in Denmark losing 4-1 with a 90 min goal not even letting us redeem ourselves in extra time. This is the first time we've failed to qualify for the group stage. Thankfully I kept good money on hand in case this happened so financially we will be fine, and just won't make any upgrades this year. League - 4th of 10 We obviously could focus more on the league, which was great for our performance though unfortunate for our younger players who I kept at the club expecting them to get matches. We entered the Christmas Break on top of the table by 1 point with a 14-2-3 record. While we did okay in the beginning of the back half it wasn't near the dominant performance we had in the fall. And then the wheels fell off the wagon and we had the worst end of season in recent memory. Just look at this disaster: Even though with 5 games to go we were in 4th in a battle for 2nd, the team (and I) just wanted the season to be over with. Cup - Lost Semi We lost in the Semi-Final, but I didn't take any screenshots . You can see above it was to Maribor 2-3, so yet again they steal a cup from us! Cross town rivals indeed. Squad Transfers Nothing meaningful happened Youth Academy YI Preview Youth Intake This AM is the pick of the litter I’d say, though I have a better looking 17 year old who just entered first team rotation. Good personality with some decent mentals and physicals. We will see how he develops. Took all the Elite prospects and the Latvian CD in the top prospects, I have a soft spot for affiliate players and he looked okay. In 2 years with my Latvian and Lithuanian affiliates I’ve gotten 2 players from each country. I took the big fish in a small pond approach with each of the affiliates being a top club in these tiny nations. If I can average a Top/Elite quality player a year from each country I’d say that’s an amazing affiliate even if they won’t be world beaters. Always need some squad players. NxGn This was a shock, and I don't believe he deserved it even if its down at #37 Awards Competition Rankings 10th place was short-lived
Popular Post WhiteCat33
Nogometni Klub Pobrezje: 2047/48 – Slovenian 1st Liga (Season 24) Season Review: https://imgur.com/a/3bOjX74 Performance EC2: Qualification First up was IK Start from Norway who are all grey players. We cleared them with a 1-0 and 2-0 victory fairly comfortably. Then we got matched up with VTSC from Portugual, which really had me worried considering last years failure. We were away first and our old declining CAM showed his set-piece brilance scoring one and then putting one on my winger in the closing moments of the game for us to record a 2-1 victory. Then at home we held them to 1-1 to secure a place in the group stage. EC2: Group I was surprised when we were in the 3rd pool with 17 European Points and ended up with a pretty decent draw of: Celtic (Scotland), Ferencvaros (Hungary), & Sarpsborg (Norway). We had our signature 2-2-2 performance with our 2nd string, which again is awesome. We got our wins against the Norwegian side, draws against our Hungarian opponents and couldn't handle the Scots. We actually advanced on Away Goals, which is sheer luck for us to go into the knockout round. EC2: Knockouts Our first draw was Legia (Poland), which considering what was available was probably middle of the road difficult. In a flip of the usual script, we had an underwhelming 0-0 draw at home, before we went on the road and absolutely smashed Legia 6-0. With this victory we got Feyenoord Rotterdam (Netherlands) and had the distinction of being the last Slovenian team left with Mura and Bravo both getting knocked out in the previous round. We shocked everyone with an absolutely dominant 4-2 win with our star striker Z Pusnik 38b recording a hat-trick, though our CAM took a knock. We then had to go to Rotterdam and hold our two goal lead in a 48k crowd. And though we gave up an 88' second goal we held them to a 2-1 defeat so we won 5-4 on aggregate. Onto our first Quarter FInal!! EC2: Quarter Final Real Hispalis of Spain, this will be seriously stiff competition considering both their Strikers actually play for the Spanish national team. Our first fixture was the home leg, and just wow. I pulled two of my 3 AMs at 70' and the fresh legs stormed the field scoring 3 goals in the final 20' to register a convincing and deserved 4-1 Victory One would think a 3 goal cushion would be comfortable eh? Yeah not even close as we got absolutely humiliated 7-1 in Spain. I could not control their two international strikers. Aitor Gil must have been injured or something when they played us in Slovenia, because this Spanish International just absolutely shredded my defense with 4 goals and an assist. That agility combined with 16 pace just blows by my whole defense. His flair was on full display as he would beat my whole defense and then chip the GK with so much backspin the ball would bounce back into the goal. I could have been better to adjust, but I just don’t have the talent yet to match this. He also makes more in a single month than we spend on all our players in an entire season sooo yeah guess that’s fair. I don't feel so bad as Real Hispalis made it all the way to the EC2 final where they fell to Olympiacos League Similar to other seasons we held ourselves in the top group throughout the campaign and, though were technically in the title hunt at the end of the season we were 4 points behind with 5 games to go. And though we had a markedly better April & May this year going 4-4-0 it wasn't enough and we ended the season in 3rd with a 19-10-7 record. Cup We didn't do as well this year losing in the Quarter Final to Mura, but that's fine. Since Maribor won we still get Euro Cup qualification for next year! Squad I haven't commented much here as the team has been almost identical every season, but this year I made some big changes. Before the season started I had a big decision of who to play in GK. I'm in the odd situation where I have way too much depth at GK and my 3rd GK who just finished his second season out on loan has developed way better than my expensive starter. I made a major error with Nejc Staric 38g and caved to his demand to a 'match highest earner' clause in his contract and he promptly stopped improving to the point Here is Staric's 'improvement over 2 years; he played 31 matches last season and if anything he got worse. Because of this he has been surpassed by the one year younger Tilen Kovac 39k whose progression looks like this, multiple 1 & 2 plus stat improvements over the same period. Looking at their polygon and stat comparison its pretty clear-cut that Kovac is a better technical GK and his mentals aren't too far off. Thus I'm putting one of my most expensive players on the bench, which hurts. The other big tactical switch is transitioning in to using my new young Attacking Midfielders. While the wide positions are decent right now the CAM has never developed that well. While he is our sole set piece taker, he is not that good in the field of play. But with 3 18 year olds I have some fresh possibilities here from the intakes that have come through. First off is our NxGn player V Petrovic At CAM is S Pucko And playing on the Left wing I have the G Prelec We are also getting to the point where the star players want competitive contracts, but our board is way too cheap and won't raise the Salaries up to what the players actually would earn at other top clubs in Slovenia. This results in me having to make this mess of a contract to keep my Star Striker who is essential to my offense. This was the last chance too as the negotiation had gone orange so I had to add literally everything possible on there to get him to accept over 1k p/w less in salary than he was asking for and this was even with a tight Fee Release clause. This was in December when he would leave on a free that summer so it was basically a last-chance contract. Transfer Nothing of note Youth Academy Youth Intake Preview Youth Intake This was pretty disappointing. Only 2 Elite Prospects, and both have pretty low CA. My HOYD/U-19 have been a mess lately with whoever has been getting prospects leaving each year for the past coup years so I’m not surprised but this will kill the save if I can’t start keeping them here Here are the two Elites Unfortunately they are the same position and really neither is all that exciting. I’ll take them and will be tossing all but 1 of the other players as there is a Striker who I’ll take as I’m nervous about how long we can keep ours and I’ll need all the options when he goes. HOYD We lost our HOYD again, so I went and poached a guy from a 2nd division club as no one who was a free agent would take the low salaries my board require. He's not that great tbh, but until I can convince the board to pay real wages we can't bring in any truly talented HOYDs Club Improvements With this we have Excellent for both Training and Youth Facilities. We also got a takeover this year! At the start of the season this Jurij Mohar tried to float the club on the stock exchange for 18m and it failed. He then came back in February and convinced the board to let him buy the club for less money (14.5M) and they agreed? Well I'm glad to be rid of them. Especially because... WE FINALLY GET A NEW STADIUM! Only took 25 years to get my first stadium improvement! I'm pretty confident my save was victim to the Stadium Council bug as every year we tried to expand the stadium and it seemed to me the event would never fire to either get approved or denied. Thankfully new management said they weren't going to sit and wait anymore and we will finally get our own stadium so more than 500 fans can come to our games. Coefficients/Rankings Will Edit and Add later Excel

DazRTaylor
Flipping between Germany and Scotland, depending on my mood. Youth Candidates Season 2023/24 Glentanar A good preview that promised a lot: The intake was good if not exceptional.
Popular Post DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2023/24 Glentanar Season Summary Another fantastic season in the league where we secured back to back promotions. We were once again poor in the cups though. Season Details League Table - We were top for the entire campaign and never looked like losing top spot. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - Churning out win after win saw us build an uncatchable lead. Macron Scottish Junior Cup - We reached the third round before losing away to Pollok, who play in the tier above. North and Tayside Inter-Regional Cup - Hall Russell United, who play in the league above, proved too strong on their home patch as we lost in the second round. North Regional Cup - The most disappointing cup performance of them all this season as we were well beaten away by Longside in the first round, who play in the same division as we do. Grill League Cup - Despite winning our group, a bug in the database ensured we were eliminated at this stage. Pre Season Friendlies - A mixed bag of results, though it was a good pre season campaign overall. Squad - We are slowly getting better. Squad Dynamics - It is still rather lovely. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - Just the one departure as first choice right back, Hungarian Barna Tot rejected a new deal and left on a free transfer for Cruden Bay, who play in the league below! Youth Candidates - A good intake, with left back Danny Dingwall YP24I25 in particular looking like a fine prospect. Finances - We are in the black, are forecast to remain in the black, yet are still listed as "Insecure". Key Players Iain McLaughlin - It was another exceptional campaign from the teenager who was predominantly used in central defence. Lee McAllister - Our best player, the central midfielder was brilliant. David Cooney - Equally adept at either left back or on the left wing, he terrorised right backs all year long. Ross McGregor YP23F6 - A return of 21 goals in 36 appearances represents a tremendous first season in the first team for the striker. Popular Post The7Striker
FK Blansko 2023/2024 Season Finances Transfers Squad Fortuna: Národni Liga Season Prev Games I Games II What a roller coster season!! Things started like last year but slowly we start to gain pace and the results start to show up aswell. We went to the last 2 games with an oportunity to get direct promotion or at least reach the playoffs but a lost against SK Líšeň and draw against Prostějov send us home in 4th place with the same points as the 1st. The rules say it matters the result between teams. This year the board finally allow me to take National C and B licence as well start the National A. MOL Cup Lost again in the fourth round but team really shows some improvements. Youth Intake Spoiler Really happy with this preview! Some nice prospect with potencial and in key areas. All of them will rotate in the main squad. Upgrades Some nice upgrades that already payoff with this year Youth.
Popular Post Daddy
2022 Season Review: Really good first season. I don't know how strong these tiers are in Sweden, but I worry a first season promotion might have been too fast anyway. A season to get to know the players and a youth intake and then hopefully start progressing. One upgrade and let a couple players whining about their playing time go. 2022 Youth Intake: Signed the players A through J. No one ready to jump right in, but a couple might not be too far off. 2023 Season Preview: Only one guaranteed promotion and one playoff spot and the team that made the playoff last year didn't win their promotion bid. I think another top five finish is in order, but it also wouldn't surprise me if a good run of form gets us into the top two.

Popular Post libbyshuss
Spain - Marbella FC La Liga 2033/34 (season 12) Season Summary Well, I wasn't expecting this..... SACKED! CHALLENGE OVER!!! I was feeling quite optimisitc as we entered our third season in the top flight and hopeful we could push on to the top ten. But we started with three relatively tricky games and lost them all by a single goal. I wasn't too worried but when we didn't get a win in the next three I started to worry a little. And then we'd played 10 league games and lost 8, drawing 2 and I got this message:- I didn't think it was that bad! But then I remembered we'd lost the three final games of last season so our winless run was actually worse than it looked. I talked them into giving me a month.... Trouble was, two weeks of that month was international break so we only had 2 league games. Which we lost and drew so....... So there you go! It's all over! we were in such a strong position off the pitch as well, it's very upsetting! I haven't decided where to go next..... I might toss a coin and head somewhere I've not been before

Popular Post Koetzer
Ungmennafélag Njarðvíkur – season 2049 The only goal from corner ended our campaign, and surprisingly we weren’t the last Icelandic team in the competition. KA reached the semi-final and lost to Arsenal there. Our youth team reached their third final in a row, losing the trophy to Real Madrid. One more league title, quite easy this time. Cups – finally won the national cup after several unsuccessful years. Group stage – a real group of death. Even finishing third was hard as we were 0-2 behind against Marseille at home. Transfers – sold our veteran defender Steingrimsson (598 games and 87 goals for us) as he wasn’t a first choice anymore and wanted to leave. Squad stats – Gunnarsson had an amazing season, he used to be our top assistant but now was really close to become the top goalscorer as well! Only in last few games Garðarsson (who won third Kopa Trophy in a row!) managed to overtake him. V.G.Guðmundsson and Hjaltested also hit double digits in both goals and assists. Youth intake Sveinsson *49a | Friðjónsson *49b Not the best intake, but we got a promising midfielder here. We reached the continental reputation and will expand our stadium by extra 7800 seats, but for some reason I don’t have an option to upgrade the youth facilities after they were downgraded a season ago (probably the latest patch issue?)

Popular Post DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2023/24 Rot-Weiss Essen Season Summary A season of struggles though we survived relegation. Season Details League Table - We survived relegation with one game to spare. It was a long, hard season. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - The standard was so much higher than last season, we struggled immensely and had a dreadful run towards the end of the season. DFB-Pokal - Our first foray into the domestic cup was decent enough as we made it through to the second round before losing at home to top flight Union Berlin. Pre Season Friendlies - We had a solid enough pre season campaign, where we only lost two games. Squad - We do lack a lot of quality so I need these youngsters to start developing. Squad Dynamics - I am pleased with this, especially considering how tough a season it was. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - Just the two departures this year, one on loan and a veteran striker who left permanently for a nominal transfer fee. Youth Candidates - It was another terrific intake with defensive midfielder Peter Džanko YP24B18 looking like the best prospect. Finances - A handsome profit was made due to the prize money available in the second tier. Key Players Yannick Langesberg - The centre back was one of the few bright spots this season. Thomas Eisfeld - He is still our best player and to be fair, he played well enough to prove it. Sandro Plechaty - Now cemented in the team as our starting right back, he struggled at times. Daniel Davari - Now aged 36, the Iranian international goalkeeper continues to play at a high level. Felix Herzenbruch - Our second centre half, he is not getting any younger. The7Striker
FK Blansko 2024/2025 Season Oh dear, this was not the plan. Things started bad once we had around 4 injuries for about 4-5 months in CB and GK along side with injury time defeats and draws really send the moral down, after that was impossible to recovery. So this is how my Czech save ends.

Popular Post thomas_e
VV Katwijk Season Summary 2024 - 2025 Survival *note: the reason the first season is in 2024-2025 is because of rule changes in Holland, so there were no relegation for the first three seasons As always on this challenge, when you go from completing the challenge to starting a brand new save, it's almost surreal. You go from a great team and knowing basically every stat of every player you have to a terrible team and after the first season you almost don't remember the name of the club you are managing, let alone any players. I decided to go to Holland for two reasons. The first is the fact that it's not a very popular nation on this challenge. The second reason is that is only has two tiers. After the first season I kinda regret it. It is extremely difficult to be a terrible team in a pretty decent league. With three years of no relegation I would guess the quality gap between the 2nd and 3rd tier has just gotten bigger. When I took over not a single player had a contract, but we have pretty decent finances (not great onviously, decent in this save is not being massively in the red), so it was easy enough to sign players to new contracts, but most of them were short, maximum two years. The first season went along really fast as there isn't much to do this early on in the challenge. We got some really decent upgrades during our first year and I've started studying for my third coaching badge. The most important thing is that we made it through the first season and survived. I usually prefer a 4-2-3-1 tactic, but this season I probably changed tactics three or four times. 3-5-2, 5-4-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-3, we have been through them all! We were tipped to finish last, and even though we finished 17th, it was easy to see why. We are a really bad team and our individual ratings throughout the year were really low. We won some key games, especially at home against the teams around us, and combines that with some crazy results, beating a couple of the top teams away. How we did that I dont know. We got a decent youth intake, but the youngsters are still not good enough for the first team. Hopefully we can survive another year, but I am not still sure if I will stick with this save. dkouv
@libbyshuss Man that's really annoying! Guess the board had unrealistic expectations after you overperformed in your first season in La Liga. libbyshuss
Scotland's on my list but it does look a slog up there! Talking of slogs, I thought I'd take a look at this England Tier 11 database and I found a club just down the road from me so I figured why not? So here I am, manager of AFC Southwick! So AFC Southwick are the phoenix club of a phoenix club! The original Southwick FC had been around over 100 years when it went bust a few years ago. A phoenix club evolved but fell out with the players and management over payments, who all just left and formed another phoenix club in 2021! So, with 5k in the bank let's see how far we can go! We have to groundshare with nearby Whitehawk FC for now as our ground looks like this:- It's just being taken over by a local charity though so we should be back in 2024! It'll be intersting to see ow much patience I have in going up from tier 11!
