Popular Post Daddy
2023 Midseason Review: My hope was to be in the hunt for promotion, but wasn't expecting to get it. Things can still fall off, but looking pretty good to at least get the playoff match. I had two interview requests, which is always a fun thing to see. In in division and the other in the same tier but different division. 2023 Intake Preview: That top prospect of a keeper needs to pan out or else things could get dire. My current keeper is 37, he doesn't want to retire, but will only sign a contract as a player coach. He's a mediocre goalie and a terrible coach.
PandaQC
Epicenter Dunaivsti (Ukraine) This is it ! I got sacked during my first season with just one game to go. I could not avoid relegation at this point anyway. It was a rough year. I was dead last in the season preview. Team was weak, and got even weaker when I lost three of my best players to Ukrainian Premier League clubs. Could not find any rhythm. Morale of the team was low. Awful. I realized the challenge was a little bit too much for me. This is my first save with this version, upgrading from FM2018. Need to find an easier challenge. Good luck all !

DrJones
Truro City 2027/2028 I think we're stuck, we are improving season by season but the youngsters aren't good enough. Anyways, we managed at least to have some kind of defending this year which I'm happy with. Our goalscoring was terrible instead so I guess it makes it even. Squad Next year there will be only two guys from the OGs left. Youth Intake Perfectionist! I think this guy could be something great. Popular Post XaW
So after the poor Danish adventure, I'm back to something old and know. England! I've made some small attempts here, but never really got it going. This time, I hope it's different. After reloading about a million times, I finally got the club I want. That's right, I'm heading to St. Ives! Far to the south-west of England, down in Cornwall is the home of the club. It's from St. Ives (duh!), which is a small town known for "its surf beaches, like Porthmeor, and its art scene" according to Google. The club doesn't have much of a squad, just 11 players, so I don't expect to use many subs! At least not until the intake comes along! Neither in facilities does the club have much to show, so I have my work cut out for me! Wish me luck, I think I need it!
DazRTaylor
I am going to start a new save in Holland. DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2022/23 DSV Concordia Season Summary An excellent first season in charge, as we won the league title and secured promotion to the sixth tier. Season Details League Table - With the exception of late November, we were on top for the majority of the season. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - Other than a sticky spell in the middle of the season, we were rarely troubled. Pre Season Friendlies - With only two wins, it is safe to say we struggled somewhat in pre season. Squad - Our recent youth intake has injected some much needed quality into the squad. Squad Dynamics - It is rather smashing. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - None. Youth Candidates - We received an exceptional group of players with attacking midfielder Lester Plichta YP23C3 looking like the best of the bunch. Finances - We made a small profit this year and enjoy a healthy bank balance as a result. Key Players Zafer Fazeli - Having been converted into a central midfielder, he quickly became our most reliable performer. Cosmin Cojocaru - Playing on either the right wing or up front, the teenage Romanian electrified all season long. Storm Smith - Versatile midfielder who can play either in the middle of the part or on the right wing, he was exceptional throughout the campaign. Menno van den Bergh - Arguably our most important player as he plays the anchor role. Raimund Brünner - Austrian left back who flattered to deceive. Next Season I don't feel we are strong enough to go up again so a safe mid table finish would be lovely. Popular Post XaW
XaW - St. Ives Town F.C. - Season 2022/23 - Vanarama National League North Squad | Transfers | Finances This was a very tough season, but we eventually survived, barely! The club started with only 11 players, and since I don't use greys unless I have to to submit the first 11, it's no surprise we had a tough time. I had to play some greys at times when we had suspensions or injuries, but I don't use them unless I had to. So until we got the youth intake i April, I never used a sub. It got a bit better when the intake came around as we suddenly had a full bench and a few players to spare! It just barely went well though as going into the final matches we were in the relegation zone. The surprise win away to Braintree in the penultimate game was the clincher for our survival. The issue for next season is that 3 of the original 11 are retiring this summer, so I won't have much in continuity. Oh well, let next season commence! FA Cup: In the FA Cup we beat Dunstable Town before we lost to Matlock Town after extra time in the 3rd qualifying round.FA Trophy: We lost to St Albans City in the 2nd round after a replay. Youth intake: Any intake would be welcome, and this actually included some nice talents. Ryan Howard 23a is a very nice and versatile player. Will play as a IF on the left and also as an AM when I use that role. Kieran Mitchell 23c is a more rounded midfielder, but one I really like to have in the team. Popular Post Daddy
2023 Season Review: Lost first place after losing 2nd to last match of the season. Only lost two matches all season and they were in final five, along with a draw and that killed off title hopes. It meant we were off to the playoffs. There are six groups in Division 2, and it looks like they split the playoff teams into two groups. Each team plays once and the winner advances to the playoff. Was able to move though here fairly pain free. Division 1 has two groups and the lowest team in each league that isn't an automatic relegation faces the winner from the groups. The first leg was on the road and it was a little tight, and the follow up at home was a bit more comfortable. Fought through the disappointment of not getting the automatic promotion, but still made it through. 2023 Youth Intake: Was hoping the Keeper came in with a higher CA, but at least he looks like he'll be a player. 2024 Season Preview: New division with some new rules. Still no prize money, that starts in the tier above. I don't really know what to expect at this level. My hope is to survive, but at least not do so poorly that I get fired. New threads. Digging the watermelon motif.

Popular Post libbyshuss
AFC Southwick England Mid Sussex Football League Premier Division (Tier 11) 2022/23 (season 1) Season Summary Here we go! If I didn't think England was a slog enough I've gone for a tier 11 custom database. I spent a lot of this first season wondering if I was going to regret that move..... So, I took over at a brand new side local to me. They're in the same city as me, just a bit further west. Easy commute though. When I took over I found that we were hot favourites for the title. The odds on our pomotion were insane! 91-1 ON for promotion!!! We had a big squad, but only 10 players that were really any good and they made up the first team. They were way too good for level 11 and we shot off like a bullet from a gun. BUT.... tier 11 is amateur football so no contracts. And as the season went on, one by one, my best players were plcuked from me. Heading all over to ridiculous places I've never heard of, until eventually only two of the original team were left. So the last few games were a lot more erratic but we had done enough before chirstmas to take the title Cup - well, tier 11 is so lowly we were in no cups! You only enter the FA Cup once you're in tier 10. Tier 11 is just rubbish county cups that aren't in the game. And for good reason, they're complete rubbish. Players So the XI that completed the season were very different than the XI that started it! Soro and Sabriye the only surivors. I was impressed by the diversity of nationlaties though. that was nice to see. It is a big student city I guess. Youth I had no idea what to expect! In the end, every single youth was an elite talent! first time I ever signed the whole lot! IT says way more about our current squad than it does the quality of youth players though Oh, this made me laugh. Ralf Ragnick takes time out of his fourfourtwo interview to praise my top scoring forward! Of course he then signs for some team in the arse end of bedfordshire. thanks ralf! Finances and Upgrades Well, with amateur players costs are low. We spent £0 on wages! but not a lot came in with an average attendance of 65 either. The big news is though that the end of the season prompted this We'll see what difference that makes. A much bigger debt I presume. Kits Career I'm still not convinced I won't regret doing this mad challenge with a tier 11 side.

DazRTaylor
Looks like my Dutch save has ended already. Found a game breaking glitch in the database (to me anyway) so that is that. The guy who did the Dutch database last year when I went over forty seasons with Babberich hasn’t done one this year. Maybe I should just stick to “out of the box” files. I may try Brazil again. BustaRaymes
So I've been away from this for a while. My Molodechno save kept on going nowhere. We did close in to the top teams and made a Conference League QF. BATE reached the SF so Belarus will be growing on the coefficient scale. I've played about 8 more seasons but couldn't be bothered posting about this slog of a save and eventually lost my interest. I might pick it up again in the future but after doing some different saves I'm now jumping onto the England lvl 11 bandwagon. Holidaying atm, will update when the save sticks
Popular Post fries
Premier League 2041/42 (season 20) Season Summary After a 1.5 month break from the game I am ready with a new update. After the Premier League win last season we had our first try in Champions League. In the group stage we were up against Barcelona, Nice and PSV. We won the first 5 games without much troubles and the reserves draw against PSV in the last game. We won the group and got Leipzig in the first knock out round. Unfortunately we lost away and only draw home. Not a very good run, even though the group stage was a breeze. The league was very close. With 2 games to go we were in lead but up 7 teams could win the league. We lost the last two games and ended with the last CL spot. Man U won the league with the lowest total points so far in this save. However, we won something. The Carabao Cup! We had an easy run and only faced two Premier League teams, West Ham and Everton. In the final we were uo against Oxford United and won easily 4-1. My front 5 had some great stats. My forward Ahmad had an average rating of 7.57 with 32 goals and 14 assists. My wingers, Turner and Prior, had respectively 11 and 16 goals, and 15 and 14 assists. My Mezzala, Morgan, both scored and assisted 10 times, while my young BBM, Lancaster, had 10 assists and 5 goals in his first season as starter. The players suit my tactics well, were I try to score by counter or by creating superiorities on the flanks with a winger, fullback and midfielder. From the flank we center the ball where the opposite winger and midfielder join my forward in the box. My DLP, Langley, has some disappointing stats. But he is important in his balancing role. My goalkeeper, Acheampong, my central defenders, Ferguson and Koch, and my left back, Cummins, had some fine ratings but not many goals or assists. On of the reasons of the lacking number of goals, was that I abandoned my great weapon of long throw ins. My former right fullback starter was now too bad to play and thus use his throw ins. The position was shared between Abdullahi and Brewer. They played well but did not contribute much offensively. This season I had 4 players on the NxGn-list. Lancaster was number 3, Cummins was number 17, Roberts was number 32 and Maside was numer 36. The first two are already starters and I hope the last two will develop into starters in the future. My preview was great with 5 stars, and an A. My intake was a bit disapointing with only 1 elite talents and noone with 5 stars. I hope some of them will surprise. We had no major sales this season. Finances and Upgrades We moved into the new FC United Stadion with 33,371 seats before the season. And this summer we are expanding it. EDIT: Well short after I posted here the board scaled up the stadium expansion. Now they will expand the stadium with close to 50k seats in total. We will be playing on The City of Manchester Stadium next season. Thus we only had 1 season on our newly build stadium before we have to move again. Popular Post Novafluff
Joining in After having a break in this challenge i thought it was time to join in again. First off i thought of taking Älmeboda Linneryd as i have played as them in this challenge before but then i saw that Högaborg which saw players like Martin and Marcus Olsson which both have some premier league games on their record come through but of course the biggest star to come thorough is Henrik Larsson the Celtic legend, one of swedens greatest of all time. Worth to mention his son also came through here and he is currently playing for Spartak Moscow in the game. So couldn't find any more fitting club for this type of challenge. Lets get the new Henrik Larsson here!
ANGL
Brazilian wonderkids from the other side, again: I've lost my starter leftback and my best centre-back in mid-season, just when summer transfer window for europe starts. Defense has been my weakest point all save, but at least next intake will solve it? Of course NOT!
dkouv
Sant Andreu – Season 8 (2029/30) La Liga We survived! A great season overall - we started off with three games against fellow strugglers and won them all, bringing us to 9 points, a total which took us well into the winter to reach last time we were in La Liga. We continued to play well until our form collapsed round-about March, but by then we were clearly safe from relegation. In the end we finished in a very solid 11th place. I am hoping for more of the same next season, and that our spring form doesn’t continue into next autumn. Players: Manel Blay 05a was head and shoulders above the rest this season, finishing top scorer with 14 from midfield and making it onto 2nd place in the NxtGen wondered list. Jaime Viladegut 01b gets an honourable mention for holding down the right back slot - he’s a true modern full back in that he can’t defend but creates lots. Still, I hope that he finally gets usurped in the next 2 seasons. Jokin Carmona 06g was again the best of the youngsters. Youth intake (preview): The preview promised the world but the intake didn’t entirely deliver - lots of good talent there, and I expect the top 2 prospects to become very good players for us. But there are lots of poor personalities too, so I’m not sure how many of these will develop in the end. Facilities: For some reason I can’t upgrade youth facilities any more (maybe a bug?), but I managed to max out training facilities, and a stadium expansion is on the way. Transfers: trimmed the fringe players a bit, and loaned out some youngsters Season | League | Pos. | Europe | Best player | Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2022/23 | Segunda RFEF Gr. Popular Post XaW
XaW - St. Ives Town F.C. - Season 2023/24 - Vanarama National League North Squad | Transfers | Finances We keep having tough seasons, but at least we keep getting in new players. The main issue this season was that I lost my two central defenders to retirement, as well as a central midfielder. Especially the defenders gave us trouble, since only one of the actual central defenders we had were anywhere close to the level needed to play here. Still, Olly Blanchfield 23k had to play, and he did...quite horribly! It's not really his fault since he shouldn't be picked, but beggars can't be choosers. I do hope I don't have to pick him any more in the future, but defenders have been lacking in the intakes so far. The season was a success due to us staying up, and we also finished a spot higher than last season. One big issue is the finances, and I know why. When I took over the club, it contained two good goalkeepers, however for some reason the previous management saw fit to give them £2.2k and £1.7k p/w! And the contract goes to the end of next season as well. I've tried to offload the poorer one, but of course no one wants him due to the financial cost of doing so. I'd shift both and play a poorer goalkeeper to be honest, since the two of them use up 55% of my current wage cost... Apparently, we are moving to another ground next season due to our current stadium not complying with league regulations. So we are moving down to Histon for a while. FA Cup: We beat Bishop's Stortford and Warrington before we lost to Gloucester City in the 4th qualifying round.FA Trophy: We lost to Braintree on pens after a replay in the 2nd round. Youth intake: A good intake, but one one defender worth mentioning. And I need those! Jock Higgins 24a is a promising attacking player. Will probably use him as striker since I don't have many players up front. Claudio Azón 24g is a talented winger or attacking midfielder. Daddy
2024 Midseason Review: Wasn't too sure what to expect at this level, but the team is performing well enough that it looks like survival will be safe. The first six weeks or so of the season were two match weeks which was brutal on the thin roster. The latter half is one a week and I'm banking on that being enough to get into a good enough form to stay up. 2024 Youth Intake Preview: Doesn't look particularly strong. Haven't been able to invest in facilities yet as thus far the little money I get at end of season is enough to stave off debt.

Crispypaul
Crispypaul SK Gjovik-LynNorwegian 2nd Division 2023 League - Table - much better as we won the league and promotion to the OBOS-Ligaen Cup - Fixtures - a third round defeat to Ranheim Finances - poor, not helped by £500k on underpitch heating (in our rented stadium) Transfers Squad Key players Per Kristian Jansen - Ryan Nelson - another solid season Ole Thomas Skogli - still prolific Jesper Sydboge - solid defender Rocky Lekaj - getting on a bit but still scoring Eirik Asvestad - missed 2022 due to damaging his cruciate ligaments in pre-season but had a good season at left back Youth Update I am not doing before and after screenshots now, takes too long! Intake - lots of "elite" talents...hmmm....anyway our U19 team got promoted so that's something 1. Vilgot Sätherström YP23a - think he'll make a good winger 2. Stefan Ahnsehl YP23b - poor det but otherwise promising midfielder 3. Ulrik Wangen YP23c - could be a good centre half 4. Tommy Hegerberg YP23d - signs of a good defender 5. Ola Hell YP23e - re-training to CM Future - now we're in the 2nd tier we just need to stay up, also we get about £200k minimum in prize money for doing so which will help as I need a few more youth upgrades. Needless to say we'll be waiting a while on facilities upgrades but at least we can get youth coaching and recruitment in the right direction. Not listed here but a couple of the 2022 intake have been making appearances, they turn 18 in 2024 so will hopefully be full first team players as I don't like to play U18 players too much. The7Striker
Spoiler After a short break i decided to return to another try, this time back to where all started. Welcome to Vigo, Galicia, Spain. El Rápido was born back in 1914 inside Liceo Marítimo de Bouzas and inherited the yellow and black colours that uses in the kit. In 1917 El Rápido splits from Liceo and is registered under the name of CLUB RAPIDO FOOTBALL until 1941, when due to a new law that prohibited foreign terms, becomes what we know today, CLUB RÁPIDO DE BOUZAS. The clubs is the second oldest in Galicia after Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña.

DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2022/23 VV Drachtster Boys Season Summary A season where we came so close, losing out on the league title and promotion to the fifth tier on the final day. Season Details League Table - We finished second, narrowly missing out on the league title and promotion. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We dropped some silly points and this ultimately proved to be costly. Pre Season Friendlies - We had a shortened pre season campaign and with only one loss, it went well. Squad - We have a decent squad and should be challenge again next season. Squad Dynamics - It is rather lovely. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - None. Youth Candidates - An intake that provided depth to the squad, though there are no standout players. Attacking midfielder Tony Schmidt YP23A1 is rated the best prospect. Finances - We made a small profit this year and the bank balance continues to grow as a result. Key Players Dean Groen - It was an extraordinary season from our central midfield orchestrator. Jelle Kuperus-Schokker - Our most improved player, he is being converted into a right winger and has cemented his starting spot. Joël Wagenaar - The veteran striker adds some much needed experience to the starting eleven. Had a good return, scoring 14 goals in 23 appearances. Derrick Barima - Still aged only twenty four, he plays the anchor midfield role with aplomb. Dennis Hoekstra - The defender is rated as our best player though he didn't show it. He has been sulking for a while as wants to leave for a bigger club, though no offers have been forthcoming. Next Season Another title challenge is the obvious goal. libbyshuss
AFC Southwick - England Southern Combination League Division 1 (Tier 10) 2023/24 (season 2) Season Summary A really good first season in tier 10 that almost got us promoted after a good run at the end of the season. But in the end we fell just a couple of points short. Still, our strong finish to the season bodes well for the new season. I quite enjoyed this season as all these teams are from silly little towns from around where I live, which makes it kinda fun! Cups - still not in the FA Cup but in a few of the silly little cups. We got through to our league cup but Arundel beat us. Sadly not a lot of money in that. Players So our squad ratings are totally skewed by our one star player. Lots of youth players in the first XI now too Youth A fairly ordinary preview, although 5 stars is always nice The intake was nice - at least three players that could go straight into the first team which was a huge bonus Thing is, they're all so bad at this level there really isn't a huge difference between 1 and 5 stars! Finances and Upgrades We went semi-pro so I could offer my better players contracts. Most of them I kept on amatuer contracts though, cos they're free! so I had a budget of 1200 or so but was only spending 100. I made a profit of about 8k over the season, which is loads in tier 10. But it's not gonna get me any upgrades sadly.... Career I'm enjoying it so far but it's still a mad idea starting in tier 11. The game takes longer than I'm used to. Tier 11 had something like 17 different leagues, as does tier 10. I'm not used to that many results being churned!
Popular Post WhiteCat33
Nogometni Klub Pobrezje: 2048/49 – Slovenian 1st Liga (Season 25) Season Review: https://imgur.com/a/btqSNdA WE DID THE DOMESTIC DOUBLE! Performance League: CHAMPIONS We were top the entire season in one where our offense just couldn't be stopped by anyone. Going into winter break we were UNDEFEATED with a 14-5-0 record and 8 points ahead in the competition. We secured Europe qualification with 7 games to go as we sat 10 points top the table with a 21-6-1 record. It was a season where our offense was just absolutely stuffing the goals on teams with our 56 GD in 36 matches and a league record of 90 points. Slovenia hasn't had a team just dominate like this. Usually the top 3 battle it out and are within 5-10 points at the end of the season, where we cleared Olimpija by 16. Cup: CHAMPIONS Reasonable cup run with Maribor in the Semi and Mura in the final who are the 2 most successful teams in the Cup recently. I know a 4 game Cup isn't the most impressive, but its still silverware for the trophy case. Euro Cup We got a difficult first match with Sparta Prague. We did well in the first home leg winning 2-1 and repeated our possession hungry (64% & 69%) performance winning 2-1 again when we went to Prague. Our next opposition was Goeztepe A.S. from Turkey. While they only had a couple players, their reputation gives them well rounded greys so it still would be a challenge. The team was up for it and we took the match to them in Turkey winning 4-2 and repeated our strong form at home with a 3-1 victory to send us into the group stage! We got an okay draw this year with Group G: Red Star (Serbia) Valencia (Spain) & Rubin (Russia). Here are their squads; Rubin is mostly empty, Red Star showcases homegrown Serbian talent, and Valencia while mostly Spanish does show the AI actually buying star foreign internationals. We didn't perform well in the competition but note above we focused heavily on League and Cup this year so we played almost entirely youngsters/rotation for the Euro Cup. The surprise was we actually beat Red Star at home! Otherwise we got definitively defeated. Squad Icon & Favored Personnel Departures: We are losing 2 long time players over the summer, Oblak had his best season of his career becoming an Icon through his first rate offensive production and the other Grosic has faded completely out of the first team set up due to his substantial decline and will most likely be retiring after leaving us. Anej Oblak 35d: 28-Year-old AM(R) & Striker whose start of career was as part of the offensive set up that won us the 2nd league, and then he departs us as a key component to us earning our first top flight Champions medal. He truly had the best season of his career this year managing an impressive 24 goals and 7 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions. He has been our #2 striker for years, but plays almost exclusively as our Right Inverted Winger. He achieved the most Career Goals at the club in 2042-43 season and held it for 2 years. However, he has had some major injuries that have kept him from holding the record and developing the rhythm he experienced this season. In 2045 & 2046 he had 2 Major injuries first breaking his leg and then busting his kneecap which took him out for 10 of the 24 Months missing over half of both seasons out injured and spending the rest slowly recovering. It has taken him years to regain his form and this is the first season he has started more than 17 games since the 2043-44 season (6 years ago). Amazingly his numerical values held up with him more or less plateauing that whole time, which is why he was still able to excel this season. Unfortunately, he was upset at the end of last season not getting enough playtime and threw down the ultimatum over the summer that he would either leave on a free or I’d have to sell him. I obviously kept him so he could perform his best ever and he will be heading across town to Maribor over the summer to face off against us in next years rivalry matches. His all time stats: 389 Appearances ; 175 Goals ; 74 Assists ; 34 POM. He has 3 Slovenian Cup winner Medals, 1 Slovenian League 2 and 1 Slovenian 1st League. Screenshots in Spoiler Blaz Grosic 34b: 29 Year-Old CAM is the other player to depart us this summer also on a free transfer. Unlike Oblek, he has seriously degraded physically while with the club to the point where he just isn’t usable on the field anymore. He still is our only Free Kick specialist, and that part of his game he has kept up with while improving mentally. Hopefully a 2nd League side will pick him up on a free this summer as I could see him doing very well at a lower level. Because of his free kick ability as well as having previously better corner taking skills he has the club assists record of 101 league assists and 123 overall assists as well as the current appearance record with 336 league appearances and 424 overall. While he will hold the assist record for a few years, he will soon lose the appearance record as a few are closing in on his mark as he didn’t play this year. He was fairly productive in goals with 74 league and 100 overall goals. Almost half of his overall goals (46) are Penalties where he was fairly consistent for us. Because of these clutch goals from dead balls he was shortly the club leader in POM for two years (like Oblek) before our Star striker Z Pusnik 38b took away all the records. He ended his career with us with 30 league POM and 40 overall POM. A very respectable career. A third player who will be leaving on a free is Jaka Babic 36a who has been a deep reserve CM for years. He’s also 28 and only appeared in 6 matches last year as a substitute as I’d much rather play my 17 & 18 year olds that are basically as good as he is. He will be joining Yo-Yo side Koper next year. Transfer We started the summer window cashing in on a very old 50% sell-on fee for Peter Kocuvan 34d, a player I sold when we got promoted into the top flight 9 years ago (2039/40 Season). He has become a regular fixture in the national team and the starting CAM for Maribor. I don't see them ever selling him and at 29 he's at peak value, so we got a nice 3M buyout. The other transfer was my 3rd/4th depth CB Sandi Horvat 42a just getting pissy that with an "impact sub" playtime he wasn't getting enough games though he was starting relatively regularly due to fixture congestion rotation. You can see he's okay but not spectacular for a CB, which happens to be the position we have the greatest depth in, so not a big loss. Youth Academy YI Preview Youth Intake I’m very happy with this intake with 3 full 5* potential recruits, two of which are the strikers promised and many 3.5-4.5 with more good than bad personalities. 2 more Lithuanians as well makes that affiliate extremely lucrative in recruiting players! For once the YI Preview wasn’t a lie and both of these are true A intake strikers that could very well be of use to the club. Big bummer is both have trash Natural Fitness and not the best personalities, but Potocnik 48a especially makes me feel better about losing our 28 year old #2 Striker while Polanc 48b could become our next free kick specialist to replace our aged one leaving us. Decent LB Due to his lack of speed I’ll most likely drop him back to be a DLP, but the flexibility is great as well as the personality, so maybe he will speed up enough to be a utility sub for our offense. Then both Lithuanians I took, but don’t think they’ll necessarily make it and then took tow more with higher CA but low potential who would take youngster contracts. So took 8 players, which is a large class for me. To the Youth Intake table I've added where my affiliates are as I've gotten 5 players from Suduva in Lithuania in the past 3 seasons, which is crazy productive. If you're looking for a 'big fish small pond' affiliate while playing in a smaller nation like I am its pretty ideal. In my save they are the 2nd best club in Lithuania who seem to get chances at Europe every other year or so, but of course never progress. They have Adequate Youth Recruitment with 2* Regional Reputation. Our best of these 5 youths is already on the Lithuania National team, as they aren't the strongest. Unfortunately he is having a shaky development so not sure if he will ever surpass our captain and start as RB. He's currently 3rd on the depth chart and I'm trying to cure that personality with mentorship. At least he's a consistent performer, but nothing else about him is standout; he's just all around okay. You'll notice my other successful affiliate is Spartaks, a Latvian club, which is also a first for me. It's a relatively similar club just slightly lower in everything but Youth Recruitment, which is also Adequate. While they've given me less players, I am actually more excited for this CB Andrejs Kozlovs 46g, who has transformed from just a middling prospect (who got "g" when he came in) to a player who's about to overtake my 27 year old Enej Brodnjak 37c for the 3rd CD slot from 4th so he will be on my bench instead of just in my rotation starting back 4. He's already scored twice for Latvia, which I'm guessing are Set Piece/Corner Headers, but hasn't gotten any yet for us. Again the amount of National CAPs he's getting even before 18 shows how weak Latvia is in my game National Team Development We've got 3 regular starters for the national team now with our GK, Mezzala and Striker. One of our wingers is a call up, but hasn't seen much play for the team as of yet. Club Improvements Finally got the last notch in scouting And up to Superb Training facilities NEW STADIUM IS COMING!!! A very positive point is that it will be fully funded without loans due to a 1.5M sponsorship. Honestly, pretty cheap stadium at 3M and 7.5k capacity is acceptable considering I don’t even know if we’ve reached that when playing our European matches. Shame they don’t name it after my manager. Another plus is instead of just playing in our current stadium, we will rent apparently another club in Maribor’s stadium. Apparently just now the league decided our current stadium doesn’t meat the league minimum requirements... Maybe this was something fixed in the Winter Update? Cause we've been playing top flight for 10 years now... Here is where our club is at now as well as my Head Coach statistics And here is where we are with sponsorships. Money isn't an issue for the club (and never has been) as the player costs here are real low compared to the income we are generating. Even the league is paying out well as we got $1.12M for Winning the league and $550k for winning the cup. Awards Player of the Year: Aljaz Funtek 39a - he has really come back after his broken leg this year; 23 assists in 32 matches is amazing, add in his goals and he contributed to 31 goals in 32 matches, which is superb! For this league season he got 19 assists, which set a new First League record! No surprise but Pusnik 38b got another top Goalsocrer Award; the big note is that Oblak 35d got 3rd place, just showing how powerful our offense was this year. One change I made 2 seasons ago now was upgrading a young CB from 3rd to 2nd to replace one of our slow CBs. The league think this was a great call and see him as the Young Player of the year No surprise but we dominated the Team of the Season And swept the Player of the Season award And with the domestic double I've officially been inducted into the Slovenian hall of fame Excel Rankings Manager Thoughts We've had an amazing season with a team that is still entirely under 30 with most under 25, so we aren't even close to a generational shift. Since I'm 25 years into the career now I've had as much time here as I played in Belgium at the start of FM2022. Comparing the two games I can easily say Slovenia is a lot easier save than Belgium was. It's both weaker competitively and way simpler financially. While I relish the on the field challenge, the financial mess I was experiencing in Beligum really dampened the enjoyment of it. While you get a lot of quality players there, its all about timing the transfers to maximize value of outgoing wonderkids to stabilize the financials of a club that can lose $20M in a year. Right now I just have Slovenia loaded in this save, which I'll be the first to acknowledge makes the game easier. Specifically, keeping my talent. As I'm still a novice at these YAC saves I'll willingly take this handicap. While I know I have a long long way to go with this save, the improvements of the club infrastructure and the intake quality has me still invested to see how far I can take this club.
