DazRTaylor
I am umpiring my first cricket match of the new season today so no more FM until tomorrow. I think I may start again somewhere I do not have a lot of experience. Namely Wales. I find easier saves like this one in Andorra hard to hold my interest. Popular Post libbyshuss
Italy Serie B 2039/40 (Seasn 18) Season Summary Groundhog season. We're stuck in a rut again, only this time it's in Serie B than Serie C. I can't see any huge improvement coming soon eiter with the payers we got. Still no wonderkids and its 2040 already! Players Solid bunch of journeymen and that's about it really. None of the younger players are really promising anything better either, except maybe Ibrahima Diouf 36A. He won his first cap for Senegal this season and has a few serie A teams sniffing around. Not sure why my intakes aren't quite the level of other saves at this stage but there you go. Youth Still no golden generation!! I forgot to take a screenshot of the preview but it was another 4.5 excellent intake personalities and determination are feeble to flimsy though. Finances and Upgrades We did get an interesting news item. My local team in real life are now affiliated with us! I also had to se my best prospect. He's about the 10th I've sold with a sell on and not one of them has made me any money beyond 14k. They've al been rubbish! Still no money so still no upgrades...... Career Just keep on plodding on I guess!

Daddy
2027/28 Midseason Review: A A little bit of a sluggish start, but the team has been playing better. As I feared with the retiring striker goals were slow to come by, but a few youth players are starting to make more progress with more playing time thankfully. Barring a collapse of form I'm hoping to keep progressing and finish in playoff spot. Youth Intake Preview: Could use a good Centerback, so hopefully if there's a standout player it's as predicted.
Popular Post XaW
XaW - Follo Fotballklubb - Season 2028 - Eliteserien Squad | Transfers | Finances An excellent season for us, and going into the final part we looked odds on for a European spot. Unfortunately, we had a really poor finish and got caught out by a few teams and slipped out. This was still a great season for us, as we were favourites to go down before the season again. Defensively we did excellent this season. Looking at last season we conceded 16 goals less this time around, so the small changes we did had a good effect for us. I'm starting to build up a nice core team now, so it's mostly having them develop, and to get in a few more talents in the coming seasons. Norgesmesterskapet: We lost to Hødd in the 1st round after a very poor display. U19 Team: In the Norwegian National U19 Championship they finished in 2nd place. A very good season from the youngsters. Norwegian U19 Cup: They lost to Kongsvinger in the 1st round. Popular Post dkouv
Sant Andreu – Season 13 (2034/35) Europe Winning the league last year ensured a much kinder CL draw, and we finished first in a group containing Roma, Hertha Berlin and Club Brugge. We easily dispatched Inter in the last 16, and a strong home leg performance got us past PSG in the quarters, 3-2 on aggregate. We faced Man Utd in the semis and messed up the home leg, losing 3-1. But after a great away performance we won 2-0 at Old Trafford, and the tie went to penalties. A penalty save from our keeper gave Leandro Gil 08a the chance to send us through to the final, but he missed and United went on to win the shootout. To be honest, the CL seems completely dominated by Bayern and Man City who won the last 5 titles between them, so I’m probably waiting for City’s Mbappe and Haaland to retire before I can properly challenge. La Liga I rested players ahead of all the CL games, but our youngsters are developing and the squad is getting much stronger so we actually managed to win the league with an impressive 92 points. We also finished runner up in the cup. Players: Manel Blay 05a had a great season with 10 assists and 18 goals from midfield - he just seems to be one of those players to vastly overperform his attributes. Muhammed Badjie 03b is another player who does this, and he again averaged 7.4 at centre back this season. Quite a few youngsters are developing very well, with Josema 10d and Nicolás Paz 09c (the "Uruguayan Mbappe" according to NxtGn) becoming first choice at right back and attacking mid, and Joan Sala 11d breaking into the first team this season. I just wish my centre back prospects had better jumping attributes, I have about four 5* PA CBs with jumping reach of between 9 and 11 Youth intake (preview): Not looking that strong this season, with just one 5* prospect and 3 elite talents. But I like the look of Nicolás Alarcón 13b with his professional personality and well-rounded stats, he could be a great defender for us although like all our CB prospects, his aerial attributes are not the best. Transfers: Lots of loans out (which came through in last season’s stats) but not much else going on. Facilities: After finally upgrading youth facilities last year, this option has disappeared again. Popular Post bpecanha
Giving another go to this challenge, this time I've started in Sweden with: Tölö IF - Swedish 4th Division Decided to play one season first to see if I would like this club, and I'm enjoying playing with Tolo so far (despite the struggles). So here's my manager profile after one season. It was a difficult start, but we managed to stay in the West Gotaland league. After a tough start, it seemed that we would have some end of season tranquility as we managed to beat Varbergs and Halmia, but our end of season was extremely poor. It's hard to do something if your best player in terms of finishing scores 7/20. Thank god Halmia didn't managed to win champions Husqvarna to send us to the relegation play-offs. CURRENT SQUAD (with Youth Players) In general, this squad has good options in defence, but our attack is extremely poor. I'm thinking of setting our team to play defensively and try to score on the counter; maybe we can find more draws and wins like that. In terms of best players, I would like to highlight Lansing, who had decent exhibitions as our only goalkeeper; other names like Maximilian Wennergrund, Gustav Stark, Chadly Maduka and Oscar Samuelsson had crucial roles in our survival. YOUTH INTAKE I'm only going to show the players I've signed. It was a poor intake in general, we desperately needed players who could at least fight for a spot, but they all need to get a lot better if they want to have regular first-team football. GK Alexander Balter - probably the only name in the intake that I've liked. He isn't a top goalkeeper, but I'm expecting him to be a fiable sub. DC Michael Hall - he actually has decent attributes for a no-nonsense centre-back. Maybe he can develop into something. DM Mathias Lindgren - i see some similarities between him and Stark. Thinking about using him as our reserve defensive midfielder. MC Oscar Dahl - has the ability to become a decent BBM, but his lack of determination and ambition may hinder him. MR Hassan Gudmundsson - run and cross. Like the old times. I actually like this player. MR Pontus Harrysson - same as above. At least we have some opportunity to develop pace, that's important in this level. ST Mikael Winbo-Sjoland - imagine being a striker with Finishing 3. I see him playing in the advanced playmaker role. ST Alex Nordstrom - imagine being a striker with Finishing 1. He's going to play in the wings if he wants to succeed. ST Kristoffer Boman - don't know what happens to my new strikers. But I see good value on him playing as a pressing forward, I'll give a try. YOUTH PLAYER WATCH In this session I'm going to focus on our youth players + players who were Under 23 when I've started this challenge. Daddy
2027/28 Season Review: Second half didn't go as strong as I had hoped. The good thing is the youth players were improving attributes. I am a little worried about treading water as the team is broke, and cannot improve training or hire more coaches etc. Youth Intake: Another good intake, but most are still a way off from first team. 2028/29 Season Preview: Unless the players take a major leap forward, or backwards, I suspect another mid table finish.

Popular Post DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2022/23 Brickfield Rangers Season Summary A season of over achievement as we narrowly missed out on promotion. Season Details League Table - We made a late charge for promotion though we just fell short. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - Our form, especially after the winter break, was great, though too many draws cost us promotion in the end. JD Welsh Cup - It was a decent cup run that ended at the third round stage as we lost on penalties away to top flight Barry Town United. Nathaniel MG Cup - We played well though it wasn't enough as we went out at the first round stage at home to Cefn Druids on penalties. Friendlies - It was a decent pre season campaign as we played good football. It was a lot tougher after the two month break, thanks to the Qatar World Cup, as we struggled to find some form. Squad - Whilst we did overachieve this year, the players have a lot of potential. Squad Dynamics - After a good season, this is were I would expect it to be. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - I allowed two fringe players to leave for pastures new on free transfers. Youth Candidates - Attacking midfielder Garry Hope YP23A1 is the best prospect out of a very strong intake. Finances - We did lose money this year so have slipped into the red. Key Players Garry Hope YP23A1 - Despite having just arrived, the midfielder is already the best player at the club. Aaron White - Playing in central midfield, he had a sensational season. Elliott Lloyd - Our best defender was a rock at centre half. Andrew Vale - Double digits for goals is an exceptional return from the left wing. Jordan Rathbone - Our right back was very reliable. Next Season Can we mount another promotion challenge? He played most of the season in the DM position as our playmaker, but also occasionally played in CM. Daddy
Got bored with my England save so going somewhere I've never tried, Croatia. Facilities and stadium are nothing special, but the big thing for me is a professional club. 2022/23 Season Preview: Start off with a pretty decent squad for the tactics I generally play. The only real concern I have are the two keepers are 33 & 34, so it's more of a long term issue than a short term. I don't know anything about the league or competition, but based on media not picking us to get relegated I think we'll be safe.

Popular Post XaW
XaW - Follo Fotballklubb - Season 2029 - Eliteserien Squad | Transfers | Finances A good season, even if we finished a bit lower than last season. I chose to not extend the contracts of quite a lot of the original squad before the season, so I expected quite a few issues with lack of leadership. We noticed it at times, but we showed more maturity than I had expected, so that's a very positive sign. For the most of the season we hovered around the lower Europa spots, but a fairly poor finish to the season made us miss out again, this time by 5 points. The main issue was to kill off matches, as evident of our high number of draws. Our attacking trio all had good number of goals, but the defense was a bit of an issue this season. It's not exactly unexpected since we lost our first choice goalkeeper to Porto at the start of the season. Norgesmesterskapet: We beat Mandalskameratene, Elverum, Stjørdals-Blink, and Sandefjord before we lost to Lillestrøm in the quarter final. Tilling
Afternoon chaps - thinking of starting my annual go of this challenge; unfortunately the situation in Russia means I can't be Chertanovo which is a shame, but if anybody has any recommendations for similar eligible clubs with good youth academy facilities from the start, I'm all ears. Also - I've been hearing from friends playing the game that actually developing young player attributes is significantly harder this year. Is that true? If so, does anybody have any advice for dealing with that - things like youth team training schedules for example? I was gonna go and download some RDF training schedules but if anyone has any other suggestions they are much appreciated!

If you have poor training facilities/coaches they'll never improve in the reserves. Loans is the way to go then. Once your facilities improve I've definitely noticed players improving in the youth/reserve teams a bit more like they used to I guess it's a bit more realistic in that sense

So what happened next? 4 wins in the next 26 games........ If it wasn't for that amazing start it could really have been a terrible season for us. So I go into the new season with even less confidence than I've ever had. Is Italy really that difficult? Players Well, 21 seasons in and this is the team. Not even a sniff of a wonderkid and nobody who really threatens to be even Serie A standard. Good solid Serie B players at best Anthony Fresia 39A is the new striker I'm pinning all my hopes on. 8 goals from 19 starts in a team that couldn't win a game in the Craggy Island Over 75s League isn't too bad really. youth Still no golden generation but still an excellent looking excelent intake. look at all those As! The intake when it came looked pretty good as well. We'll see if there's any superstars among them, none look obviously future stars Finances and Upgrades Got a silly offer for my best prospect. Again got a 50% sell on, and again as soon as he joined his new team he didn't play. I sold my Spanish striker at 18 for a £1m 4 seasons ago to Citadella and they've started him about 5 times! Career Another few seasons and if it's still as painful I might have to admit defeat. I still wanna give Argentina another go before the new game come out!
Daddy
2022/23 Midseason Review: Going much better than expected. I'm losing my best striker though, he won't resign so I cashed out for what little I could get. Normally in these situations I wouldn't root for the immediate promotion because I think we'll get hammered. However, with only one team getting relegated I'm a little more hopeful than other leagues we could stay up. I'm also hoping there's some money to be made in the first league because I'm bleeding money right now. 2023 Youth Intake Preview: I'm just glad to be getting a Keeper in general. Hopefully he comes in better than projected here as one of the two I have is leaving and the other is 34.
Popular Post bpecanha
Tölö IF - 2023 season review Swedish 4th Division - West Gotaland I don't know if I should feel proud or gutted after this season. Media predicted that we would finish dead last in the league, but some extraordinary performances sent us top of the league with 7 wins and 3 draws in 10 games. This happened mainly due to a simple tactical tweak - I've changed the role of our AML from Inverted Winger (Support) to Advanced Playmaker (Attack) and Liam Jurgensen played his part with some great exhibitions. However, after our first loss in the season (against champions Ahlafors IF), we have suffered a lot to break defences and had some leaky defensive displays. Luckily, we ended our season with 4 wins and 4 draws and got the play-off spot. In the play-offs, however, our task was tough. In our first game, IFK Gauthiod gave us a lot of defensive work, but we managed to hold a 0-0 draw. In the second match, we only needed to win IFK Hassleholm to advance. We had 24 shots and Hassleholm got their left back sent off with 35 minutes, but they somehow managed to win with a direct FK goal in the final minutes. Unfortunately, that wasn't our year. Youth Intake Again, I'm going to show only the players that I've signed with. Top prospect: Gunnarson is the best player to come from our youth ranks so far. His technicals aren't that good, but he has a lot of pace and can surely develop with time. I've already played him in the play-offs (intakes are announced after the end of regular season) and he did well, to be fair. If you have that pace at this level, it's a huge weapon. Other prospects: Pontus Silverholt (GK) - I'll loan Balter to maximize his development and use Silverholt as our backup and U19 keeper. Weird skillset, but he can be useful. Peter Haraldsson (CM) - don't know if I'll use him as a CM, LM or even LB, but I like his attitude and determination. Cherno Ceesay (RB) - what a name! I don't like defensive full backs, he's probably going to be retrained as a CB. Pontus Rudin (RB) - same as above, except for his not-so-exciting name. And I also see him playing as a DM. Petter Lundgren (LB) - this one may have a future in the left back, but he needs to improve his pace and personality. Marcus Winbo-Sjöland (CB) - another one for the Winbo-Sjöland family! Not sure why I've signed him though, but I'm willing to see his development.

I've definitely noticed that Italy is far harder than any other country I've played in, including Belgium and Denmark. I'll give it another few seasons, see if anything happens then maybe sack it in. Your experience doesn't fill me with much optimism! Yeah its pretty weird to be honest. I completed this challenge in the Netherands and in England in FM21 and i guess the first real stars came trough about 10/11 seasons in. Even Iceland, where i made an attempt with Haukar, i got better players in my 4th season then i ever had in the whole game with Arezzo. There has to be something going on there. It can't be right.
Daddy
2022/23 Season Review: This one really stings. Had a significant lead with 5 games left and the team just fell apart. The tricky squad rules combined with losing key players to injuries killed us. Lost four of the last five games 1-0 each. Really wanted the promotion for hopes of finances being better in the first division. Team lost a million dollars. Polic was one of the players missed down the end of the season. 3 month hip injury. Here's the side effect of losing all that money. 2023 Youth Intake: Real nice intake, especially getting a keeper. My only keeper left is 35 and missed 10 weeks last season. I need him to hold on until the youth player turns 17. 2023/24 Season Preview: Little unsure for this upcoming season. Only lost one player, the backup keeper, but he saw a decent amount of time last season. With the team losing so much money there'll be no upgrades any time soon. That all said if it wasn't for an injury crisis at the end of the season this squad would have won the league, so I don't think the team will suddenly do poorly.
Daddy
This is going to be a problem with going from professional to semi. All my players are full time contracts, and none are going to want to go part time.

Popular Post WhiteCat33
Nogometni Klub Pobrezje: 2052/53 – Slovenian 1st Liga (Season 29) Performance After the train wreck of the second half of last season in the lower leagues of England I decided I wanted to enjoy another run at Slovenia, even if SI has yet to fix my Youth Facilities Bug. And what do you know, we won our Second Euro Cup in 3 Years! And it was absolutely deserved. We are having internet issues here atm so I'll just be uploading a bare-bones update that I'll go back and add more images to when I'm not using cellular. European Champions Cup: [Match Reports] As you can se we got a brutal group draw here: PSG, Man United & BMG. The fact we were able to draw PSG 0-0 is astounding as we are no where near Man U's quality. Euro Cup: [Match Reports] Our knockout draws were more favorable here as we avoided Totenham, AC Millan & Rangers completely and saved Marseille for the final. In our last successful EC run we had OM in the knockouts and recorded two 1-1 draws and required a shootout to go on top. Here we did it with a blitz early goal lead and a confident defensive performance to see out the game. League - CHAMPIONS! Yeah we won our 5th consecutive league title without too much trouble. Even with heavy rotation (due to EC fixtures) we still had the league wrapped up with 6 games to go so could easily play younger players in the heavy congestion before the EC final. The big news here is how far Maribor have fallen off the pace. They won 10 consequitive titles and were regularly qualifying for EC group stages and now they aren't even close to qualifying for Europe. Cup - Semi-Final Defeat Yeah this was a poor showing for us, but it really isn't that big of a deal. Squad Transfer Just let people go, nothing exciting here [thankfully!] I only have 1 player left who has a fee-release clause, so hopefully that will keep the bad surprises away. Youth Academy YI Preview Youth Intake Another AML in the pipeline with awesome Driven personality, but honestly the mentals are disappointing An either Footed Striker, who sadly is very slow And then we are 2 for 2 seasons with an Uruguayan in our intake, though I don’t have faith he will ever be good enough for our first team Full Intake Squad Club Facilities Game is still bugged and have yet to get an option to upgrade youth faciltiies. We finished a stadium expansion and its up to 11k now. And we re-upped Training Facilities to State-of-the-Art after they degraded due to technology. Club Ranking I advanced through the Summer so that the updated rankings & coefficients were release. We are officially a TOP 20 CLUB IN EUROPE! I have to say that while we deserve it due to two Euro Cups, we won the second cup without playing a single team higher up than us. I also chuckled when I saw we are just above OM with our Cup Victory Euro Cup Awards Excel Manager Thoughts I hate this bug because this team is absolutely rolling! As you can see from my Youth Intakes I will need perfect development for them to really keep the quality of the squad up. Its really sad that while I probably can keep winning Euro Cups, this is most likely the ceiling for the club if I can't ever upgrade the Youth Facilities. I'm not sure I want to keep the slog of England Lower-Leagues going, so I may be on the hunt for a new league to try out. WhiteCat33
League Reset for Israel is 6/20 ; Pretty sure if you want different teams you'll have to save before 5/24 as that's when the last playoff games happen (but I could be wrong on that)

Daddy
2023/24 Midseason Review: Rudes was relegated two seasons ago and won the third league last season and were running away with the league early on. They have started dropping points and we started picking them up. I'm not sure if getting back to first division gets us back to professional or not, but I'm really hoping that's the case and am pushing as hard as possible to win the league. A couple young players hitting 17 which is enough where I do not think I'll have to start any gray players. 2024 Youth Intake Preview: Another strong looking preview. Not really too many holes in the squad, but some players starting to get near retirement. The big question over everything right now is half my roster has expiring contracts and none will sign new part time contracts right now. My hopes are closer to expiration they will, but if I lose all my starters and the youth players won't fill out enough over 17 players that'll probably be it. Will cross that when I get there.

ALJskills
I have a quick question. I want to start a youth only challenge with a team in Slovakia. I Holidayed to the 29th of June as recommended but the club arranged 25 future deals that I obviously can't cancel as those deals have al been confirmed for 1/7/2022. Is it allowed for me to use those 25 players, or Do I have to put them into the reserves?

SuperRedditch
Had a couple of bites of this challenge this year, and it hasn't stuck, but I'm giving it a go with Alemannia Aachen in Germany. Just gotta get through the first few seasons until the team starts getting replaced with the newgens which is when I feel it really kicks off.Profile Got a good 23 year old striker I reckon we can build around and a generally solid first XI. Might be able to go up this season, not sure, haven't managed in Germany since CM01/02.

Depends which nations do you want to try. Top 5 leagues have some decent clubs. About the development, other lads can speak better about it. I let my AM do the general one and I only change if I need it. Cheers - I'm having trouble really finding one that would be eligible for this thread unfortunately - most of the ones I've found (say Belenenses for example) are already in playable leagues for example. Though I might just cave on that front anyway to be honest! R.W. Essen are an interesting one in Germany, seem to be the best option if you wanted to do it there - the only real prerequisite I have though is that the youth rating is good and the facilities + added bits are above say 10 out of 20. From what I can tell all the clubs in the Liga Leumit (Second Tier) are all Professional and over half in Liga Alef (3rd tier) are as well. Now to see if we can keep the club solvent and not face your situation. I have to say this is the first save I've used the League Fix database so I don't know what the vanilla Israeli leagues are like, but here I got a fun mini pre-season regional tourney to play and my U-19's are in a league!!
