I’ve now parked an English save and a northern Irish save. I think one factor is how many people are doing that league, if you are the only person doing a New Zealand save for instance you’re not seeing the same teams in other peoples updates. It's more about feeling a connection with the team, or with the league. And in my case, I just didn't feel it with Cray. Sometimes you know after a couple of games that it feels good. It clicks together. And sometimes you never get that feeling. I'll take my time choosing my next save.

Seeing all the English saves definitely made my Enfield save feel a little less “mine” if that makes sense. I then enjoyed Czech Republic with Vitkovice but ultimately failed. Definitely having some kind of backstory with the club or some nuance is a difference maker. For me with Chiasso they were right on the Italian border so I was interested in what Italians came through the academy, for Vitkovice they shared a large stadium with Banik Ostrava, the challenge was to become the main team in Ostrava then the country. My new save the club was one of the oldest formed clubs in Scotland but dissolved some time ago and only came back into existence 13 years ago, plus the overthrowing of the old firm is always a great additional challenge. If successful I can actually see me continuing the save and taking over the national job to do a proper build a nation save until fm 24 comes into the picture.

South Shields is a good example in England, I think I started one with the, in FM 22 and just canned it early doors, didn’t feel anything but a lot of people have success with them. @WhiteCat33’s Luxembourg save is a prime example of a great side story/objective as well as it being a tiny nation so you get that additional challenge. It’s the sort of save a lot of us will crave.

I hate when you spend time in a save and than you have to end it. Yeah, I only knew about it because I managed IFK Eskilstuna in FM 22, who actually have a single Allsvenskan title to their name. You have Eskilstuna City, whose libby has taken over, and finally, you have AFC Eskilstuna. The club was known under FC Café Opera and Väsby United before switching ownership and identity in 2012 to AFC United. During the 2016 season, it was once again decided that they would switch their name, identity, and locality. Choosing to move to Eskilstuna, about 110 kilometres west of Stockholm, they are known as AFC Eskilstuna. History is so fun sometimes.
Popular Post DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2027/28 Macclesfield Season Summary We enjoyed a solid season, with a mid table finish in the league and two good cup runs. Season Details League Table - It ended up being a very comfortable season where we were never in danger of relegation. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - After a tough first third of the season, I radically changed our formation and was met with instant results. F. A. Cup - We finally made it through to the first round proper though it was very disappointing to get hammered away to Dartford, who play at the same level as we do. We had a real opportunity to get to the second round. F. A. Trophy - Our best cup run to date, we made it through to the fifth round before losing away to fellow sixth tier side Weymouth. Friendlies - With four wins and six losses, pre season consistented of our usual mixed bag of results. Squad - Our squad is starting to improve significantly. Squad Dynamics - Despite our recent poor form, this is rather good. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - The only departures were youngsters leaving on loan for some first team football and two players on a permanent basis, both on free transfers, who would never be good enough. Youth Candidates - It was easily our best intake to date with Welshman Alfie Reid YP28A34, who plays on the left hand side of midfield, being singled out as having the most potential. Finances - We did make a loss this season, though we have significantly improved our youth facilities and our academy. Key Players James Berry - The winger continues to show signs of an early decline. Zion Dixon - Our main striker continues to set the division alight, this year scoring 32 goals in 52 appearances. Harry Freedman - The Scottish midfielder had his best season to date. Alex Curran - The experienced midfielder plays way above his level. A real asset. Neil Kengni - The right winger was inconsistent at best. Next Season Another mid table season would be great. Popular Post libbyshuss
Eskilstuna City - Sweden Division 2 (tier 4) - 2023 (season 1) Season Summary So here I am, in Sweden for the first time! The board aren't the most ambitious, requesting that I merely avoid relegation. Hopefully not too big an ask, despite a small squad of only 14. And it wasn't, we were pretty good really. although, to be fair, i think it's more that the quality of fourth tier Swedish football is really not that high. Only problems were our best middie getting an ACL halfway through the season and our best defender deciding pretty early doors there was no way he was signing a new contract Youth With only 14 players in the squad I could really do with a good intake. Annoyingly I had to wait until the penultimate game of the season before it appeared though. The preview looked good as did the intake But again i think it's more a reflection of the low quality in division 2. Our best prospect was this lad Finances and Upgrades The good intake was partly due to our finances being good enough that the board gave me two upgrades to youth intake. I mean, it was a really low starting point, but still not a bad start! and we finished with a nice positive bank balance too! Win Win! Career So next season we'll have a bigger, if not better, squad. Hopefully we can challenge for the top 2 but we'll see. Consolidation would be a good season also

Popular Post XaW
XaW - Lusitânia Açores - Season 2026/27 (Season 4) - Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG Squad | Transfers | Finances Wow, I did not expect this result! I firmly expected us to fight to avoid going down this season, but instead we won the bloody thing! I've got no clue how we did it, but looking at the xG table, we should be in 2nd, so we are not overachieving much either. I guess we are just a great team then. Next season will be more or less impossible, I guess. The most top tier teams we've met in cups have beaten us, so I don't have much hope of avoiding a relegation next season. At least we might make some money though, at least I hope. Also, next season we are renting the stadium that belongs to Fontinhas in the 3rd tier since our stadium is too small. At least we are still on the Azores. Taça de Portugal: We beat Lusitano Évora and Torreense before we lost to Estoril Praia in the 4th round.Allianz Cup: We beat Arouca and Tondela to reach the 3rd round group stage. There we lost to both Benfica and Gil Vicente and finished bottom to get knocked out. B team They only played friendlies this season. Popular Post Neo_Geo
Further Youth DetailsYouth Intake PreviewYouth Intake Top 5 Season Review Unexpected title win in the first season after being predicted to finish 5th. We beat Alloa in the penultimate game to leave us just needing a point in our last game away to Albion Rovers which we won 3-2 with Fellowes grabbing a late winner. After losing the opening game, the key to success was our mid-season form not losing a game from November 11th to February 10th (P14 W10 D4 L0), we then lost to Alloa and Peterhead (both away) before going unbeaten in the remaining 8 games culminating in the title win. In the Premier Sports Cup we had Livingston, Hamilton, Edinburgh FC and Albion Rovers winning 2 and losing 2 (I'll let you decide which ones we won and lost ) so it was largely what I was expecting but a good yard stick beating Edinburgh FC who are League 1. The SPFL Trust Trophy we got FM'd by Hearts B and then lost on penalties however the main talking point was the Scottish Cup where we had the following matches: Second Round - 4-1 Halkirk Utd Third Round - 4-1 Stirling Albion in replay after 1-1 draw away Fourth Round - 2-1 Inverurie Locos Fifth Round - 0-3 Rangers Needless to say our finances weren't that great earlier in the save then we shot up to over £770k thanks to the gate receipts at Ibrox, incredibly lucky with the draw getting Inverurie Locos in the 4th Round to then get Rangers AND to get it away from home! Squad wise we lost Alan Lithgow at the start of the save as his contract expired and he wasn't interested in renewing it (there was an offer already on the table when I took over and I regret not adjusting it). He then joined Queens Park in the Championship so that gives an idea of the level he was at. I was a little underwhelmed by Bob McHugh as I thought he'd be the standout but it turned out that our strikers notched up 69 goals between them with Fellowes bagging 30 of these so at least the load was shared evenly between the 2nd striker. As can be seen from the squad overview I went with an asymmetrical 3-4-3 for lack of a better way of describing it. I wanted to keep Neil McLaughlin in the team so dropped him out of the front 3 to play as a shadow striker and it seemed to work quite well. With the wing backs I was able to rotate between the 2 fullbacks at the the club and my wingers who I retrained over the course of the season to play there which allowed me to choose between more offence or defence on the flanks as required. In truth they weren't that great anyway. The formation was also required as I was very limited with central midfielders and it made sense to play two DMS and have a lot of the play go over their head to the front line so direct football was the way forward. It has served me well so I will most likely try to stick with it given I only had 2 central midfielders in the intake and neither were in the elite category (not the be all and end all but early indications would suggest they aren't going to replace my current 2 and they are 25 and 18 so they aren't leaving the squad anytime soon unless I get transfer bids). So it's on to League 1 now where we are predicted to finish 9th with the same odds as 8th place Clyde but given I beat Edinburgh and Stirling Albion (predicted 7th and 10th respectively) I think I should manage to stay in the league and hopefully the board will stop being so tight with the funds and let me upgrade some more facilities. P.S. For anyone wanting to do a Scottish save the U18s bug definitely still seems to be there, I had delegated control over the staff to the chairperson for U18s last year, no one was appointed and now at the start of season 2 the responsibilities looks like this: So at the moment I have all of the youth players in the first squad so that they actually have coached training but I will need to look to loan as many as possible regardless of the level and the wages covered as possible to not affect the first team too much (especially when intake 2 arrives!)

The Talent Spoiler Quite happy with these players: The Intake Spoiler When you have to scroll down more than two pages and they're still 5 star potential, you know it's good.. The Stats Spoiler Our defence seems to do a lot of work, and often lets me down. I probably need to think about a tactical change that puts more emphasis on the midfield. We also have a crazy low amount of crosses, so maybe a bit more possession based and width? The Bank Spoiler No issues.. The Fans Spoiler Overall, a bit disappointed to be back in 2.Bundesliga and performances were not what was expected. grff
Ifeanyi Ubah FC: 2029/30 Season Review Another decent season that started with a real slump in performances. A change of formation helped us finish 3rd in the league and qualifying for continental football again. Our first season of continental football saw us reach the semi-final of the Confederation Cup where we were then blown away by the eventual winners. Players stats were good although they took a hit towards the end of the season. A massive fixture pile up did not help as we ended up playing 13 games in the May. Youth intake wasn't too bad as we took on a few to bolster the areas we are short in. Transfers Season history Aims for next season Improve on our best 3rd place finish Attempt to reach the Confederation Cup final Avoid losing any key players
dkouv
Operário dos Açores – Season 2 (2024/25) Campeonato de Portugal I may have been inspired by @XaW because we actually went on and got promoted this season! I would say it was rather undeserved though. We had one great run half-way through the season, but the other teams kept dropping points so somehow this was enough to see us finish 2nd with a measly 48 points. We then squeezed out a bunch of 1-0 wins and 0-0 draws in the playoffs, most of them by sneaking away goals on the counter against the run of play. Still, up to the 3rd division we go! Players: Pedro Tavares was a rock at the back, but my best centre mid is leaving on a free and another is retiring so we are in for a tough ride next season. Youth intake: Again nothing to write home about unfortunately, I hope at some point we start getting some proper players as my first team isn’t getting any younger. At least in Rúben Leal 04 we may eventually get a proper left back for the squad. Facilities: Upgraded recruitment twice, and we’re turning pro after our promotion. Hopefully this will see some of the youngsters start developing a bit faster. No transfers. Habituz
End of Season Review Season 2023/24 52 Orduspor Futbol Kulübü Season Summary Season went really really well, start was a bit rough but once got into the swing of things were always in the playoffs. We actually finished 6 days before the others team for some reason and were top, but another team had exact same points. They ended up losing 2-1 and we got promoted as champions. Season Details League Table - as I said above ended up winning on last day as teams who could beat us didn't get what they needed Spoiler Fixtures - We ended up drawing a team in league above us in the cup and took them to extra time losing 3-4 Spoiler Squad - All of the players got some game time Spoiler Squad Dynamics - Pretty decent took, nearly all season for my support to get into green. Spoiler Transfers - I released a player who had played a bit for me but was always training bad and upset. My slightly younger goalkeeper left on a free. I actually have 4 players retiring and one player leaving at the end of contract (my main striker who i hope i can convince to stop) Spoiler Youth Candidates - Not the greatest but end up signing them all. Top rated was Mahmut Çavdar YP24a Spoiler Finances - Decent Spoiler Key Players Nevzat Bilen - Played as a right inside forward for me, both creating and scoring a fair amount of my goals Spoiler Batuhan Er - Main striker for me, played as an advance forward. We usually lost games anytime he was out injured, and he is planning on leaving on a free in a month once contract ends. Spoiler Seydi Kayasoy - Rarely put a foot wrong for me and was main reason we didn't concede even more goals Spoiler Next Season With the retirements and if our striker leaves my plan is to try and stay up anyway I can, if that looks impossible then to get match experience for some of my youth players Personal Coaching Data Season Reputation Qualifications Att Def Fit GkD GkH GkS Tac Tec Men WWY Ada Det PlK YoK LoD MaM Mot ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At start Minimal (0.5*) None 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 6 1 1 1 1 1 1 2023/24 Minimal (1.0*) National C ↑ 4↑ 4↑ 2↑ 1 2↑ 1 4↑ 5↑ 4↑ 2 6 4↑ 4↑ 4↑ 3↑ 5↑ 5↑ Club Facilities Season Training Facilities Youth Facilities Corporate Facilities Junior Coaching Youth Recruitment Club Reputation --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At Start Basic Basic Adequate Basic Limited Regional (1.0*) 2023/24 Basic Basic Adequate Basic Basic ↑ Regional (1.5*) Season Record Season Played Won Drawn Lost Goals For Goals Against Goal Difference Win Percentage ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2023/24 37 20 6 11 95 62 +33 54.05% Overall Career Record After Season Played Won Drawn Lost Goals For Goals Against Goal Difference Win Percentage Time At Club ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2023/24 37 20 6 11 95 62 +33 54.05% 333 days Transfer Sale Record Date Player Position Club Sold To Country Transfer Fee --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trophy Haul Season Competition Won -------------------------- 2023/24 Turkish 2. Popular Post fries
Premier League 2042/43 (season 20) Season Summary WE DID IT! We won the Champions League! In our second attempt in the tournament, we won. Unbelievable. Now we only need to win Premier League to finish the challenge. In the league phase, we played really well. We won against teams such as Bayern and Real Madrid and draw with Monaco and Dortmund. We also had four "easy games" against Sturm Graz, Celtic, FC Midtjylland, and FC Copenhagen. In the knock-outs, we beat Liverpool, Hoffenheim, and Man City. And finally, in the final, we were up against Bayern once again. They got an early red card. I tried to exploit the space they had to leave open without much success. But we managed to score after a free kick. However, we couldn't keep the lead. Bayern outplayed us and scored. We went into extra time and then penalties. Where we won in the end! It was also an okay season in the league where we got a 4th position. I have never been close to the title. But I hope it will come. Champions League was not the only trophy we won this season, as we also won the FA Cup. Both my first-choice forward, Carle, and second-choice forward, Owen, did very well with 34 and 24 goals respectively. Smith also played very well from the midfield with 14 goals and 8 assists. My wingers Jensen, Telfer, Hall, Maddison, and T. Walters also contributed with a lot of goals and assists. Breakspeare had a great first season in the goal. I think I will show you a few of the best players of my Champions League winnin Smith was again on the GOAL50 list. He is the 45th-best player in the world. Carle won a lot of awards. Two other players around the English national team are Breakspeare and Howourth I only had one player on the NXGN list this season. Jankovic is out on loan. But soon ready to play for my team. The youth intake preview okay. Only 4 stars and two A's. The intake was okay, but a bit disappointing. Only 1 elite talent and 1 top talent. Ian Walters is the son of my former captain and club icon Patrick Walters. But he is unfortunately not very good. Okoli looked most promising. No transfers of significance. Finances and Upgrades No upgrades this season. Next season I think I will try to prioritize the league next season. Hopefully, I can finish the challenge in a few years.

russ the womble
SV Austria Salzburg 2044/45 The Table Spoiler A better season - challenged for the title on the last day, but only drew against 3rd place. Wasn't helped by the board selling my star striker to Bayern The Team Spoiler Fairly strong at CB but rest of the team needs development The Talent Spoiler Best current players: The Intake Spoiler The Stats Spoiler Decent stats, still not enough crosses maybe, but fairly dominant in most areas The Bank Spoiler The Fans Spoiler Overall, much more satisfactory. I don't mind staying down as it should mean I'm a bit stronger to compete in the next division up when it happens. As long as the club stop selling my best strikers, of course. Also training facilities are now top notch - no one can get close to that in 2. Bundesliga Edited March 11, 2023 by russ the womble

Popular Post Riebow
Arras FA Season Review (31/32) League: After our first 3 games, all resounding losses, I thought there would be no chance we would stay up. However, we did start to pick up some points here and there and were in a fierce relegation battle with the likes of Auxerre, Valenciennes and Rodez. A win at Amiens on the penultimate game secured ourselves another season in League 2. The last game of the season was against already relegated Paris FC and we even moved all the way to the 11th spot! We concede a shocking amount of goals on set pieces, of which 12 on corners. The second worst team only conceded 5 all season. We also conceded 7 goals on indirect free kicks, not to mention the sometimes ridiculous amount of penalties (3 in one game!). Goal scoring has been a lot tougher with the departure of Adrien Célerier (see more below). Top scorer honours were shared this season by 3 players with a whopping 7 goals. Cup: We were knocked out in the 9th round by Amiens. Intake: One of our better intakes, which says a lot about what we had before. After this intake I've severed the ties with Lens with whom we were sharing their youth facilities. I want to see if that's the reason our intakes are so underwhelming. We're back to poor youth facilities now, but we also have some cash to pay for some upgrades. Jocelyn Vinet: Nice looking little winger with pace. Spoiler Dylan Mottier: Yet another high potential Goal Keeper. I keep stacking them Spoiler Teddy Salvador: We need a new striker to replace Adrien Célerier. Let's hope he's going to be one. Spoiler M'Bouille Cissé: Play making central midfielder Spoiler Next Season: It took an entire season to find a site for a new stadium, but plans are finally underway. One more season in our 380 capacity stadium 750km away from Arras and we'll finally get some nice gate receipts. The goal of next season stays the same: staying up. The money at this level is really good for a team of my stature. I'm hoping to max out my facilities and then win promotion to the top tier. Checking in with old friends: Adrien Célerier (intake of 2025) was with us from all the way from National 3, before deciding to leave us after our promotion to League 2. We sold him for some spare change to Bastia, who play in the same division. How did he do? He scored 26 goals in 32 games... Yeah, it hurts. Popular Post russ the womble
SV Austria Salzburg 2045/46 The Table Spoiler Not too bad a season, we were top for the first half of the season and then had a bit of a blip. Even so, just means we should be stronger next year The Team Spoiler Changed formation to a lop sided 5-2-3, worked okay: Bose scored the most goals I've had in this challenge (despite not actually being that good a player!) Leaves me a little vulnerable on the right hand side, but thems the rubs.. The Talent Spoiler The Intake Spoiler I lose the intake mail by end of season - no way to get it after a month? The Stats Spoiler The Bank Spoiler The Fans Spoiler Thank you to the board for selling our best CB without even giving me the option to protest it. I tried to do the trick of offering him to others! We had a takeover a few seasons ago and the new board seem to be very trigger happy in selling players for bids of £5m+. We don't need the money (secure finances) so its a bit of a constant merry go round. Will be phasing out Bose as the main striker next season (may play him RW if I use old tactics), and hopefully can keep rest of the team together! My main issues team wise are the left sided players, and no immediate replacements have come through the youth set up. Maybe time for a wing focused HOYD.. Fun fact: Liverpool went the season unbeaten in the league. And finished 2nd. Edited March 12, 2023 by russ the womble
Popular Post XaW
XaW - Lusitânia Açores - Season 2027/28 (Season 5) - Liga NOS Squad | Transfers | Finances Man, some of the top teams in Portugal are really good! Looking at our goal record, we can score, but we can also concede! We did far better than I had expected, but we are also quite far away from competing with Benfica or Porto. After this season it was clear that we can go toe to toe with the bottom half of the table, occasionally beat the middle teams, but get some serious beatings by the top ones. A 0-6 home loss to Sporting is an example of it... Still, we never looked likely to go down, so that's promising going forward. I also finally got some improvements made to the club after we've slowly started to make some money. Taça de Portugal: We beat Vizela, Lusitânia Lourosa, Vilafranquense, Gil Vincente, and Famalicão to reach the final. There we lost to a very strong Benfica side. Still an excellent cup run though.Allianz Cup: We beat Nacional before we lost to Portimonense in the 2nd round. B team They only played friendlies this season. U19s They finished 4th in the Portuguese U19 First Division and qualified for the Championship stage. There they finished 8th and last. MacronQLF
TECOS FC END OF THE SEASON 2032-2033 (mexican 1st division) Hello everyone ! To do a quick reminder of what we did last year we finished 12th in the opening stage and we finished 3rd in the clotura ( and we lost in final of the playoff for the title ) , so last year was great ! It's been 2 months since the last update as i didn't enjoyed at all playing this season, the year-after-a-good-season blues when everything doesn't work like last year It was ... hard , we struggled a lot in the middle of the year and the last month but we played pretty good honestly as we showed this season like the last one that we are capable of winning against everyone so we finished at the 11th place in the opening and 10th in the closing Spoiler Not a bad result when you look at the quality of the players, after a bad run of form i took a look at players comparisons with others in the league and we're pretty much in the last place for every attributes so yeah Im happy the squad preview don't show players attributes look how good is the team with stars Spoiler No big news this year, we had a promising midfielder by the name of orozco coming in , he did good for a first season in the pro team and i hope to see big things from him We lost the good prospect gonzalez in the middle of the season for damaged cruciate ligaments , a big blow for his career as he have the unambitious personnality so his growth has been slow , i hope he will recover Spoiler The good things about this year is the youth intake, a lot of talents in this one and i have faith that somes will soon join the first team , we really needed a good year after very harsh promotions and it happened Alexandre Anne is one the best prospect i had since the start of the save , either footed with very good dribbling and a good personnality , if he progress he can become a first team player quickly Spoiler That's it for this year ! I hope i will have more motivation to play in the next few weeks to bring a new chapter Spoiler Edited March 12, 2023 by MacronQLF Spoiler fail
P O\'D
Gonna have to start again. When I checked my profile it said I signed 12 players, had no idea how but when I sort through my transfer history it shows 12 of my youth academy players all showing as signings on free transfers. Super disappointed, but my own fault (I generally holiday between matches) and their deadline passed before they confirmed. Super depressing as I had just won the league (my actual play time is 3 seasons ahead of what I've posted.) Depressing but we'll go again as I feel with Lokeren is quite possible to do quickly with the right board takeover to improve YF. Maybe I'll try a new country. Infuriating cause by my own rushing around. 18 seasons down the drain but the rules is the rules. I'm now in 40/41 and not a single one of those players made it at the club. A real motivation killer. Popular Post libbyshuss
Sweden - Division 2 (tier 4) 2024 (season 2) league Summary Little disappointing to be honest. We should have got in the top two but a couple of silly results let us down. we were close though so hopefully next season we can push through. I suppose the good thing is you never want to go up too early, right? Youth Another cracking preview, which I again I think reflects the quality of our starting squad more than anything else. Still, good to fill out those squad places I guess no idea how many of those are actually gonna be any good, but they should get us out of division 2 at least. Finances and Upgrades To be honest, i'm never too bothered about promotion in these early seasons so long as I'm making progress off the field. And we did really well here, laying the foundations for a good push in the next couple of seasons. Pretty much at the limit of our current budget though Career so far so good!
russ the womble
SV Austria Salzburg 2048/48 We finished 2nd bottom in the standard league, but our relegation group form meant we somehow qualified for the European play off places and then, after getting drubbed 4-1 in the first leg of the final, this happened: So despite finishing the normal stage of the season 11th, we qualified for Europe As the final was only a few The Table Spoiler The Team Spoiler The Stats Spoiler The Talent Spoiler The Intake Spoiler Not great this year The Bank Spoiler The Fans Spoiler Can't complain about the end of the season - hopefully Europe will increase the stature of the club and allow me to attract better coaches so I can fulfil the potential of some of the youths.
