Their backer just withdrew support though, so their team of mostly expensive Jamaicans might be in trouble!). When you loaded your FM23 game did the Caribbean qualification not come over too? Mine did; I forgot to activate your "NACL Modfile" when I created the game so in my save there is the vanilla CCC & NACL. Luckily Barbados gets one of the slots in the NACL for whoever wins the domestic cup (hence why I was so mad BDFSP beat us on penalty kicks). I considered restarting with your modified continental file, but I liked how League Reputation was changing in my game and wanted to see how high I could get Barbados even if it meant not having the CCC.

Please share how you’re playing, if you don’t mind, I am always interested in the football part. funny the winger with TEC 1 I am almost missing the days. My tactical setup is pretty simple, just a 4-3-3 with standard instructions on offense and a counter press on defense to get advantageous turnovers. If the counter press fails, we run a mid block and an inside trap to again force turnovers in advantageous positions. The player roles are suited to the individuals, but I found having an IF(A) gets involved more than a winger regardless of footedness. I'll have more details on individual players in the end of season update, but Callum Graham 01a and the technically-poor Rayon Messam 01j are both having solid seasons.

Popular Post fries
Sky Bet League Two 2027/28 (season 4) Season Summary Was excited to see how we could compete in the football leagues. It started great. In the second league game of the season, we beat Gillingham with massively 9-1. But then October came and we lost 6 league games in a row. But when the calendar said 2028 we started playing great again. In the end, we secured a 5th position and a play off spot. We continued to play a very offensive 4-4-2/4-2-4 tactic, and scored lots of goals again. 120 goals in 46 games. We also had a great FA Cup run where we beat the two League One teams, Exeter and Wimbledon, but lost to the Championship side Bristol City after a replay. In the play-off semi-final, we were up against Yeovil. I hate Yeovil. At least in this save. They usually beat me. In my first season, Yeovil won Vanarama League South with four points more than us, and we had to be promoted via play-offs. In my second season, we ended one position above Yeovil, with 3 more points. In my third season, Yeovil again won the league while we were second and had to go through play-offs. And then this season the beat us again. 6-2 on aggregate in the semi-final and no promotion for us. On the positive side, Yeovil ended up winning promotion so next season is Yeovil-free! The most important players are my front four. The striker duo, Frederick and Asante, scored 32 and 27 goals respectively. While the wingers, Morris and Baxter assisted 18 and 15 and scored 13 and 12 goals respectively. Unfortunately, both Morris and Frederick have been a bit unhappy throughout the season. Hopefully, I can keep the four for another season. Karakas from the 2027 intake was my super sub on the left wing and two striker positions. He scored 13 and assisted 10. Another important player is my Segundo Volante, Shukunbi. He scored 15 goals this season. Binnom-Williams was again important with 17 assists from the left full-back position. Morrow was sold in the summer transfer window. He was very angry and has a temperamental personality. I sold him for 750K£ and some add-ons. But the transfer date was agreed to after this season. The youth intake preview looked okay with 5 stars but not a single A. The intake was okay. Jacquart will probably be a starter next season on the left full-back. Cotton and Ezeh will also be a part of the first team as rotational players. Smith is my first young goalkeeper with both great potential and a non-bad personality. I hope he will develop into a future starter. As mentioned Baxter will leave after the season. Otherwise, no transfers of significance. Finances and Upgrades We moved into our new stadium before the season. Because of the continued financial trouble, we did not get any upgrades this season. There have been several rumors about takeovers. I hope someone will come and clear the debt. However, I managed to get assigned to a few new trainer courses, and I am currently studying for the continental Pro license. Next season Next season, I hope to gain promotion. If I can keep my best players, I think the team is great. I furthermore hope to develop the team.

Popular Post DrJones
Oriental Dragon 2026/27 A great third season in the fourth tier for us. We were rock solid for the whole year and some of the players are developing fast. I don´t think the third tier will be difficult for us to be honest. Some of the newly relegated teams we met this season weren´t that impressive. Squad The youngsters are slowly taking over the team, there will probably be 3 OGs in the starting XI next season. Key players (Regens) The obvious star of this team. I think we´ll be able to hold on to him for next season but after that it will be impossible. The best chinese player in the team. I´m surprised that he haven´t been called up for any national duties yet. Youth Intake History

Popular Post libbyshuss
Japan - Honda FC/Machida Corriente Division J1 - Season 6 (2029) Season Objectives:- After two successive promotions, just staying up would be an amazing result Season Summary And we did it! It was close, and we were in the bottom 3 for the majority of the season, but we turned a corner in the last couple of months and won 5 out of the last 11. turns out that was enough! A definite result! Players The difference was our three star players, all of whom are rated leading J1 performers, all of whom are leaving... First to go is Mutsuki Sagara 27A. He never looked close to signing a new deal since we first gave him a contract and I had to decide whether to cash in or keep him last season, and I decided with 8m in the bank that it was worth the risk to see if he could keep us up. And he could - 15 goals and 10 assists from 34 games as a CM is a phenomenal return. The only issue was keeping him fit! There was no shortage of offers when he only had 6 months remaining, and in the end he signed for Chelsea. I can't really begrudge him it.... but look at that value now! Yasushi Yamazaki 27B became our first player to represent Japan in this save, has only 1 year left and is determined to leave. Rather than have him sulk I probably will sell him. We'll miss him though - maurading wing back who got 12 assists and 6 goals in only 31 games Third player refused new contract and signed a deal with a middling J2 side! so he is now dead to me. Youth So it became even more important we got a decent intake this season, losing those top 3 players. Preview was.....ok but the intake was better than I hoped for. Ryoma Otsuka is clearly the best of the bunch. So good in fact I'm going to change my tactic to accommodate him next season (I could retrain him as a DC but I tend to change tactics instead) The rest of the intake isn't as promising. the four other elite talents have terrible personalities:- balanced, fickle, unambitious and unambitious Career Next season will be a real challenge. To stay up again, without Sagara 27A, would be an amazing achievement.
Popular Post the_hdk
Transfer History Well this was improvement. 3rd place and we ware actually in teh run to an upset, but we got too many injuries at the end of teh year and fell off teh fight. Still we qualified for Asian CL!. Cups was worse this year. First of all we had to sell our star striker TANAKA. In the end he went to TOTTENHAM for EUR 11,5 mln. Record sale for JAPAN. With the money I poured it into training facilities that already imporved twice and third is on its way. For some reaosn i'm not getting chance to improve youth facilities and I fear its the same bug/feature we had last year where the chaiman doesnt have bug enough youth skill. TANAKA had not a great start in England, with only 6 games and 1 goal played, but he finally became the first striker of Japan and has now 6 caps and 4 goals. He is now worth 44-54 mln! I feel a bit robbed. Anyway, TANAKA was replaced by KAGAMI who did great. 23 goals in 38 games. Won the TopScorer. And the new attacker in first 11 is IMAZEKI, who had an amazing rookie season with 21 goals and 10 assists. Another rookie was a wing back KANAI, but he did not improve as much as ai had hoped and stays at 2,5 stars ability. With 6 players at 4 stars in ability we are doing great. Lets hope we can keep teh core and build further form there. The offers for my players are becoming annoying though. Makes the game very tedious. Braga with an upset in Portugal. and Urawa Red gets both the League and Asian CL. First Japanese club to win it in my save. so far. Anyway, I wanted to give a shout out to our Brazilian, ERNESTO PAULO, scored 9 goals...all headers. Just look at him (below). 1m90, he is a giant in Japan. I'm happy I retrained him to play in the center. His Heading is only 9....but his Jumping Reach is 19!!!!! 19!!!! with 1m90....our own "Força Aérea Brasileira". thats just insane :D. I'm doing everything to train his heading. all our corners go to him! Sale of TANAKA TANAKA shortly after the sale. HE made his debut for Japan in teh next game. KAGAMI became our second player to make his debut for Japan. YASUDA intake 2031. Seems promising, but once in my team...well they ware not so good. Only one 4 star and rest was meh. Third strike for YASUDA. I need a better HOYD. Best of the bunch in the end. KANAYA. Decent physicals. Love the tackling. If he was faster I would retrain him to a wing back. Lets see. Could end up replacing KOZAWA in the Center. And our thrid foreign player. A South Korean, SONG JUNG. I give him little chance to make the first team, but you never know.

Popular Post The_Gato_In_Goal
Haringey Borough - Youth Intake and Youth Review Season 3 I was planning on writing up a review of how some of the previous youths have been progressing, but it may not be as important now as half of them are about to be replaced by this new intake. Our upgrades paid off big time and we have some real talents coming through I've highlighted some of the difference makers below. The mix of good personalities and good physical stats are welcome for the squad. We have been struggling to compete at this level, but these guys can come in and contribute right away. Spoiler Aaron Porter 03a Kemar Cox 03b Dean Murray 03d Alex Nicholls 03h Class of 2025 Update Callum Graham 01a has barely improved his attributes over his time at the club, but he has raised his performance levels this year. 8 goals and 13 assists in 31(13) appearances in all comps means we're going to have a hard time dropping him for unproven prospects with better attributes. Spoiler Johnny Rea 01b has been a starter this season, but has underwhelmed. A 6.79 rating in 36(3) games isn't bad, and with no prospects pushing for his spot at the moment he'll be given more time to improve his attributes. Spoiler Colin Morgan 01c has played terribly, and splits time with Dylan Wilson 02c, who performs nearly as poor. His progression recently has rewarded my faith however, Spoiler Kenneth John 01d hasn't developed as much as I would have hoped, but his performances are solid enough to keep him in a starting role. 15 goal contributions as a BBM this season is good enough. Spoiler Rayon Messam 01j continues to be confusing. He seemingly has no potential, as he hasn't developed with good performances, training, and a Fairly Pro personality. I've actually increased his role however as he's averaging a 7.10 rating with 9 goals and 9 assists in 34(4) appearances. He may be a casualty of producing better players fairly soon unfortunately. Spoiler Brian Inglis has a couple of injuries and lost his starting place to Messam 01j midway through the season. He has stagnated in development and needs to do more to get back in the first team. Spoiler Class of 2026 Update Oliver Smith 02a has really kicked on in development. Still is worryingly short for a fullback, but he's performed ok with a 6.75 rating in 35(2) appearances so far this year. His progression has been incredible. Spoiler Dylan Wilson 02c as mentioned has not played well, and he has not improved as much as Morgan 01c has. He'll get a longer leash due to the Perfectionist personality though. Spoiler Goncalo Paulo 01d has been fine. He's struggled to cement himself in the first team, but has played well in the support role, scoring 10 goals primarily as an IF(A) off the bench. Has not developed much however. Spoiler Ryan Camm 02f just got called up from the U18s. He's tall and passable technically, so he'll get a chance to prove himself and hopefully develop despite the Unambitious personality. Popular Post Potat
FC Marusayu Okazaki Season 2 - 2025 After getting to the playoffs last year I was expecting a relegation battle as that's how all my saves go in the second season apparently. The Squad Staff | Squad Pt 1 | Squad Pt 2 As we still had no youth teams the squad was getting a bit larger than I would have liked, playing friendlies for the youth players every midweek did help a bit with morale however. The Season Promotion... yeh I don't know how either. Last year we were one of the worst in the league and relied heavily on counters, this year however, after a change in tactics we dominated games throughout the season, having the highest average possession in the league (62%), scored the most set pieces in the league (set piece coaches are a must) and our defense improved massively. Although we were 11 points clear of 3rd with 10 games to play I've never been more stressed about winning promotion by a single point. We will just claim it was for dramatic effect not us trying to throw it away at the end. The Tactics Last year we focused heavily on playing down the wings, which in hindsight was a terrible idea as we had no one to cross it to, this year we switched it up to keep the ball more and it worked, scoring a lot despite Hara and Hakamata having 1 and 2 finishing attributes respectively. Will this work in the division above with much better teams? I doubt it but only one way to find out. Youth Intake Intake Preview | November Intake Considerably more exciting than last season with the elite talents already making their debut in the final game after securing promotion Key Prospects Tsubasa Yoshino | Shogo Nishimori | Hiroki Hosokawa Three players who will probably feature on the bench a lot next season who have great potential. Facility Upgrades At the end of last season, the board decided we needed our own much smaller stadium (5k) instead of sharing what we currently use (20k), this decision has borderline bankrupted the club and really limited what I was allowed to upgrade this season. I was denied all upgrades relevant to the youth setup but was given two training facility upgrades, one before the season started and one mid-way through, despite them being the most expensive. Season Review Academy Player Stat Leaders for Season Despite the debt, lack of upgrades, captain leaving for free and inevitably being the worst team in the league next season. This year was a success I was not expecting and im not sure whether I should be excited or terrified for whats going to happen next year. Other Things Academy Player Leaderboard | Bingo (Japan Version) edit: Should probably mention it's been incredibly quiet on the transfer front, for two full seasons I've received 0 offers for any of my players for actual money, while only getting offers for one or two players on free deals which were all declined. RCola1
I unfortunately forgot to screenshot my end of season stuff, but in an update on the first year of my Belfast Celtic save I went into the last day of the season top of the league, but lost on the last day sinking my promotion hopes. I had more than 1 XG over my opponent and my striker who led the league in goals missed a penalty. I realized that most of the team in inherited has the dreaded "hates big matches." Other than that I got a good youth intake, upgrades to youth coaching and recruitment, and the board decided of their own accord to become an affiliate of a team in the premiership, worth 10,000 a year. Popular Post Brentmeister
I started a save with Macclesfield but after realising I might have to play over 750 games before I even get to the Premier League, I started getting cold sweats and a rash. So I decided to go back to Belgium, despite the financial bug and despite a place where I've failed for the last 4 versions. Hopefully, I'll get a takeover or a 1 in a million youngster I can sell to negate the bug altogether. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We landed on Eendracht Aalst, mostly because of their relatively big following, we had over 1700 season ticket holders for season 1. ____________________________________________________________________ Season 1 Summary League Champions! We made a mockery of the media prediction of 5th and a board requirement of mid-table. With 2 of the best 5 players in the league available to us (according to the media), I knew we had a chance of a good season. We had a fantastic season. An opening day 6-0 win saw us top of the league after week 1, a position we never relinquished. We secured promotion with 7 games remaining and the title followed 3 games later. We also amazingly made the semi-final of the cup, narrowly losing to eventual winners Club Brugge, 2-1 on aggregate. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Squad We got very lucky when we were greeted with this monster youth player that was generated while we were holidaying: Igor Lecocq After a full season of first-team football, he developed nicely and is already considered a good player for the top division here in Belgium. Hopefully, we can get some good money and a sell-on fee when he decides to leave. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Youth preview and intake We were promised an excellent intake, but our highest previewed player was rated C. When the Intake arrived, it was considered a 1-star poor intake with 0 elite prospects. The actual group of players was okay IMO so the truth was probably somewhere in the middle. Joaquim Mantagne was considered best in class. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Other stuff No transfers in. We lost 900k despite the aforementioned semi-final cup run. Our facilities were downgraded. We're so broke, I can't even get them to send me on a coaching course. Apart from that, we're doing well! _________________________________________________________________________________ Edited November 4, 2023 by Brentmeister

DazRTaylor
Youth Candidates Season 2032/33 Bury It was trhe worst preview to date: With no elite talents, it is comfortably our worst intake to date.
Popular Post DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2032/33 Bury Season Summary Well, I don't know where this came from. Another promotion, this time to the Championship and even poor performaces in two of the domestic cups won't take the shine off that. Season Details League Table - We were in the top two for most of the season and secured promotion with three games remaining and the title with one. League Fixtures 1, 2 & 3 - We were so consistent, especially after I switched to a diamond formation after a poor run of defeats. F. A. Cup - A decent enough run as we made it through to the third round before a heavy home defeat by Championship outfit Sunderland ended our interst in the competition for another season. Carabao Cup - A very poor performance in the first round away to League Two side Bradford City saw the club crash out at the first hurdle. Papa John's Trophy - Despite playing a reserve side throughout the competition, we still won our group, though we were found out in the first knockout round, losing at home to Chester, who play in divison below us. Friendlies - We only lost three ghames as we claimed quite a few scalps from higher divisions. Squad - The rapid progression rate of some of our players is astounding. Squad Dynamics - This is as good as you would hope it to be after such a great season. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - There were fewer departures this year with just one leaving permanently and some youngsters going out on loan. Youth Candidates - We received no elite talents this year so it is easily our worst intake to date. A few players, such as midfielder Ted Ford YP33C100, have a chance of making it, however. Finances - We lost just over £1m this season and whilst we remain in the black, we won't be this time next year without a player or two being sold. Key Players Tommy Ashman YP28A17 - Not as prolific as in previous seasons, the striker was still reliable, however. Danny Holmes YP29B35 - The striker is regarded as our most valuable player, worth close to £10m, but to me he is priceless. Joe Dymond - He made the switch from left wing to left sided midfielder with aplomb. Phillip Horne YP30F55 - Comfortable anywhere down trhe right flank, he is usually used at right back where he had a superb campaign. DazRTaylor
You will have noticed I have just been promoted for the third successive season - A first for me in this challenge. It happens all the time for me in the dafuge Challenge, but not in this one. So, a question. I have noticed my players have developed at a much faster rate this season than in previous FMs. Have you too or have I just got lucky? Edit - I forgot to add, I was predicted to finish 23rd at the start of the season though this rose to 12th by the end of the season. That is how much my players developed. I am currently working my way through the first season in VNLN with Macclesfield, and I can easily say, that after 18 games, I have never started better in any save. The save is not open currently, but it is something like 15 wins and three losses. I am beginning to wonder if it is some kind of bug, because this has never happened to me before, and I haven't suddenly become a tactical genius or done anything radically different. On the player development side, I cannot say yet. Edited November 4, 2023 by andershs

Popular Post Virtual Male
Season 8 2031/32 Manager Profile - Competitions - Finances - Facilities Competitions Vanarama National League South (Past Positions) - It's all coming together now. We had a dominant season and broke a number of records along the way, highest points total in a season, highest number of wins in a season and most goals scored all go to show just how much better than the rest we were this year. We hit the top of the league after 7 games and never looked back finishing the season on 118 points and 22 clear of 2nd place. The Emirates FA Cup - 1st round exit against League 1 Millwall, I felt hard done by since we'd had the better of the game only for Millwall to grab an 89th minute winner. The Isuzu FA Trophy - I think bringing this trophy home is more impressive than what we did in the league and leaves me quite hopeful for next season. From the 4th round onward we only faced clubs in the division above and the only game that was close was the 4th round against Southport in which we relied on penalties. Even Tamworth who ran away with the Vanarama National League was a fairly routine win in the Semi-Final and a 2-1 win against Stevenage at Wembley saw us lifting the FA Trophy for the 2nd time in the clubs history. Squad - The whole team played well this year with only 2 averaging less than a 7.0 (one of those being 6.99) and quite a lot of player growth has happened so I think we'll be fine next year. Ryan Astley (2025YP9) - Another great year from our main man, the season stat tracker is broken but he scored 32 league goals to become the top scorer in club history with 132 goals in 272 appearances. Overall he made 61 goal contributions in 52 games and really was the heartbeat of the team. Alun Duckett (2030YP9) - The young forward broke into the team last season and his form carried on into this year 47 G/A in 43 games at 17 years old is very impressive and I'm hoping he can carry the form into next year. Youth Intake (Preview) - A good preview, even if it is more strikers and wingers which the club has an abundance of at the moment, but I can't complain. Only 1 5* player this year but it looks like a fairly solid intake. Sam Haggett (2032YP3) - is the pick of the bunch and will get first team minutes next year, I'm hoping that his relatively low potential is an oversight from my staff but even if it isn't he should turn into a useful player with a good personality. Transfers & Finances - The board wouldn't approve any upgrades so there's still a little over £1m in the bank, I think the next thing the board will do is look towards turning professional given the youth recruitment and junior coaching are at their highest and the youth and training facilities are about adequate and average respectively. Again nothing of note in the transfers, just letting some deadwood go. Other - After a few years of saying they couldn't risk me being too good for the club the board have finally approved and sent me to get my Continental C Licence, I'm hoping to get them to send me for the B licence over the summer. Bingo Card - Thanks to the league win we're up to 11/100 Somewhat unrelated buy my U18 team haven't had a league invitation for a couple of years now, I'm assuming it'll just sort itself out but it's a pain having to arrange friendlies for all of my youth teams. Anyone had similar? Edited November 4, 2023 by Virtual Male U18s
Virtual Male
@DazRTaylor You're flying through the leagues!! You'll be all wrapped up with the challenge by 2040 at this rate Congratulations mate, I've no idea how you're managing it. I can't say I've noticed the player development being any faster than usual to be honest, but that could just be because I'm still Semi-Pro so no-one trains anyway. andershs
Macclesfield FC - Season 1 2024-25 Yout Preview The Youth Preview is here. It is difficult to say whether this is good or bad. But it could be worse, I guess. In other news, in the 37th try, we finally managed a draw. It has been a very strange season. Either we are on top in games and winning relatively comfortably or otherwise we are quite clearly beaten. But gone are the days of winning the first nine matches and 14 out of 17. We are slowly but steadily sliding down the table. This is no catastrophy though, as I will be glad to just survive in these first difficult years of the challenge until the player intakes are flowing. Edit: This is however, easily the best start to a FM save I have had in many years. Edited November 4, 2023 by andershs

Popular Post The_Gato_In_Goal
Haringey Borough - Review Season 3 Another year, another mid table finish. This time we we're safely mid table for the entire season, but still finished with less points than in year 1. The intake, as you saw, was incredible, so I'm hoping to push for the edge of the playoffs next season. We're financially stable and not looking like being relegated, so I can't complain. A very impressive cup campaign. We pulled out a thrilling 3-2 win at home against VNL heavyweights Southend in the FA Cup to make it into the first round proper, where we got an incredibly favorable draw at home to a VNN side. We bowed out to L2 Morcambe, but got our paydays. Then Southend got revenge on us in the FA Trophy. Temi led us in scoring again, but his numbers have dropped a bit and he will have competition next season. Messam 01j continues to oddly produced and Ben Allen had another solid season in midfield. Spoiler Even with the 400K spent on youth facility upgrades, our cup runs helped keep our finances in a strong position. Our payroll is still low (and the board still wont let me sign any staff for the youth team or the medical team) so it should keep up for more upgrades in the future. I think I've been scammed since the upgrades completed but our youth level still is at 4. Maybe it ticks over during the reset date, but not sure. Nothing in, nothing out.

Caribbean Knockout Round: 1st Leg Spoiler Match one was away in Jamaica and it was the Gilkes show. Our CM-A was unreal in this game with 1 goal and 2 assists, one each to my strikers. After the 2nd goal they got a player sent off so there was little threat from them the entire game. 3 goal cushion has me confident hosting them in Barbados. 2nd Leg Spoiler Match two was a sellout at home (like all our games basically are at this point). We started the game fine, however in the 29’ we failed to mark their player on a corner and they pulled one back. Game had few highlights as we dominated possession, which is fine with me. Game had more highlights at the end when they were pushing but we held it to just a 0-1 defeat for a 3-1 Agg victory! NACL 2nd Round: 1st Leg Away in Mexico Spoiler We give up an early goal in the 18’ where their IF beats our CB inside and gets it past the GK. However, Carrillo the legend stepped up to a free kick in the 27’ and smashed it near post to get us an equalizer! However they hit us hard and fast on the counter just decimating our defense. They scored 2 for 2 shots on target in the first half, which is brutal. Halftime sees a stern talk to the boys to rile them up and in under 1 minute we hit a ball over the top to our 2nd striker Nurse who stays just onside to get behind and smash it home! 2-2. But again they just run through our defense . But our offense is relentless and another ball slotted through the back line finds Nurse in the 64’ and he gets us our 3rd equalizer! Then in the 70’ we stop their attack and hit a quick long ball over the top on the counter and Nurse is in behind ready for his hat-trick when he’s tripped in the box. PENALTY! Carrillo steps up, and he buries it bottom left and we are ahead for the first time in the match! 4-3. Unfortunately they hit us right back in the 73’ with their 4th goal with the player held just onsides. And then they find a 5th with the exact same kind of movement in the 84’… My young defense just can’t handle this top quality offense. They had 5 shots on target and 5 goals. My Goalkeeper had the worst game of his career 2nd Leg Home in Barbados: Spoiler Reverse fixture we dominated the game early with some tantalizing attempts for our strikers but our goal scoring disappeared even with almost 2 xG nothing could go in. Even with pushing forward their defense held and we were denied that equalizer to advance. Rest of the Rounds: Spoiler The team we played three years ago slaughtered Chicago 7-0, so we are actually a lot closer than I thought we would be at this point. Shame we won’t get a shot at the NACL next year, but we better return the year after and we will finally not have youngster defenders at that point. And how did Pachuca do in the NACL? They were Runners-Up. The draw was not kind to us this year. Barbados National Team: World Cup Draw happened: The team has had great pre-tournament friendlies, I’m going to attend the World Cup games and we can see how our boys do. Including my 2nd striker getting a hat-trick against Suriname! Spoiler But then came the true challenge of the World Cup. Match 1: Cameroon Spoiler That early red card completely derailed the first match and any hope of recording a result at the World Cup. The 2nd Red didn’t help things, but the game was well over by that point. Match 2: England Spoiler I mean, are you really surprised here? 2 goals in the first 10 minutes and then England could sit back and enjoy an easy game against Barbados. 2nd Round North American Teams: Spoiler USA is the only team that advanced out of the group stage from North America. They beat Ghana 1-0 3rd Round & On Competition Tree Spoiler I have no clue how Syria managed to hold Italy to a 0-0 draw and then win on penalties. All the other results are fairly believable. Brutal for Belgium to lose on penalty kicks in the Final. World Cup History: Spoiler Squad: I've done some updates to my CA Calculator to add: 1) CM & ML/R so all positions and roles are calculated & 2) A very basic version of calculating the Hidden Personality Attributes based on a google doc @JAwtunes contributed to a few years back. Hidden Attribute Revealer - Google Sheets. I'll attach a Blank version of my CA Calculator to this post as well as my view that's required to export the data. Let me know if you have any issues. I'll put the HPA portion here first in spoilers for those who don't want to know these things: Spoiler The sheet I linked to does the full calculation including the number of special case situations in the game. I however am busy and just want a rough estimate of the HAs, so ignored the cases and just did a very simple combination of the Personality + Media Handling. In combining the two I take the higher number of Personality or Media Handling to set a new range for each variable. I then just calculate the average of the range and that is what I display in the spreadsheet. I did very basic Highlights to help me with mentorship decisions for players. Like for example Z. Mars is a pretty decent mentor for Newgen players who show up and I want to just get moderate Professionalism and good Pressure, Temperament and Loyalty. The other part I finally finished was completing all the Positions & Roles available in FM23 [so no new IFB]. Each of these numbers is the average of all flat ratings of the highlighted attributes. I don't weight the Green vs Blue highlighting, and I standardized all position ratings out of 100. Ideal Role uses the Assistant Manager's assessment of a players best position and then displays the highest score role in that position. Using Carrillo as an example, his 64 means he averages 12.8 / 20 for all highlighted attributes for the Pressing Forward - Attack. Squad: For my squad updates even though I've added these and use them myself I don't see the need displaying them here in the season review. Transfers: We have started selling a few of our extra Strikers and such to other clubs or loaning them out for small gains. Really though I tend to just hoard player in the Carribbean especially if they are good enough to be rotational depth. Spoiler Best XI: FM Screenshots: Excel Tables: Career Tables: Spoiler Season Tables: [Building Tonight] Spoiler Head Coach: Still kicking. Club Improvements: Now this is where things get interesting. Last year the Council said no to upgrading our Stadium, but this year the board went ahead and did it anyways? Then the other thing that I totally forgot happens is FIFA PAYS YOU FOR YOUR PLAYERS IN THE WORLD CUP! Usually by the time you have players at that level money is irrelevant and you don't notice it happening, but we got a magical surprise of $3 Million Dollars appearing in our accounts once the cup ended! Of course, that is when the board decided to do a takeover, so it took a while to spend the money: What's even better here is the Board is footing the bill completely for the stadium expansion by investing the exact amount required into the club! This way I was able to get a Youth Facility upgrade without any pushback Youth Academy: HOYD: Because Barbados doesn't generate high quality staff members I like to find young recently retired players who want to become HOYD and hire them as U18 coaches. Then after 3 years they build up their Barbados knowledge without negatively impacting our intakes. Of the staff I've found this is my hope for our next HOYD: Spoiler Current HOYD: Spoiler Youth Intake Preview: Youth Intake: Bad on literally all fronts: CA, PA & Personality ☹ Top 3 Players: Looking at the players a few might be salvageable as depth in the team, but our ‘golden group’ of 1-3 players viable in the first team seems to have stopped. Carlton: Lack of physicals is pretty severe, but will be one of the youth midfielders. Stoute: more specialized as a DLP, but similarly lack of physical midfielder. Excel Tables: Road View Internationals: Barbados Main: Barbados Youth: Statistics Manager: [In Edit I'll add information about the CA Calculator] Summary This year we had good on field performance, but a bad youth intake. In the NACL we still have the inconsistencies of youth, but with a couple more years maybe we can break out of that 2nd Round curse. With all the money and the future HOYD found I should be okay for getting back to our winning academy ways especially as we continue to upgrade our facilities. Things are bright in Barbados!
