Popular Post steve.rush
Dulwich Hamlet 2025-26 I was so optimistic coming into this year but just wasn't to be. Completely outclassed, couldn't score goals, conceded too many and we taste bitter relegation We fell at the second hurdle in the FA Cup to a much better team in Lincoln City FA Trophy was much the same as we were knocked out by Ebbsfleet United in the third round Not many positives but 25a Andrew Allen has really become a big part of the team straight away Mills was amongst the goals again but the fact we had to rely on such a poor player summed up our season Another good youth player from the class of 25 is winger Damarley Ryman Only way is back up. Need to have a good start. Board have given me the opportunity to rebound
Popular Post Gonner
Austria Salzburg, Season 7, 2030/2031 Season Recap : Took a step backwards this year compared to the last one where we had finished in 5th in the championship, but there were just too many games to play for my team and we had to make some choices. Eliminated in the Cup 1/4 final by SK Rapid. When I saw our rhythm was not going to make us able to go back to the title pool, I decided to keep my team fit for European competitions in order to bring more money and hope to finish among the best 2 teams of the relegation pool to qualify for the European playoffs. Speaking of Europe, we advanced through the qualification rounds of the Europa Conference, and our draw looked OK to me for a first, save maybe for Copenhagen. We did pretty great and managed to advance to the next phase. We even managed to go past Antwerp before falling to Hertha in the final 8. Not too bad for a first ! We were done with Europe just in time to play the last 10 games of our relegation pool. Admira ran away with this, but I knew from experience the only thing we needed was to get 8th place to be in the fight for Europe once again. We faced Admira at home in the 7th-8th playoff, won 4-2, and then were drawn against LASK. To my surprise, we got a very convincing 3-1 victory at their place and held up on the return to give us the chance to play another year in Europe. Transfers : The screenshot shows the sale of Patrick Sauer that for me happened the season before. We had another promising young player leave us, Sebastian Kraft, who decided to go to City. He was pissed off because I kept criticizing his training performances. We will see if he can make it at City with this attitude ! Managed to get a 50% bonus just in case. We also had a couple of other players that left us during the winter breaks. As I get more familiar with the progression of players I will try to sell the ones that appear less and less likely to fight for first-team minutes. Révélation Finances : Sweet, sweet European money. The jump in prize money from less than 250K to 6.5M€ was really appreciable. We got 3M€ for reaching the championship phase and then some more here and there with each good result. If we add the money we got from both transfers (Sauer & Kraft), we went from -2.5 in the red to comfortably in the black, even after asking my board for all possible improvements. Squad : We kept our favorite 4-4-2. You can see with the squad screenshot at the end of the year that the boys clearly needed a rest at the end of such a long season. All my first XI played more than 40 games this year and the gap between them, the bench and the rest makes it hard for anybody to take a breather unless it is a Cup game at the beginning of the season or a game I am willing to throw away (typically an away game against RB Salzburg, losing 3-0 or 5-0 does not make much of a difference). In defense, as anticipated after Sauer's departure, Bah moved to LB and played as a No-Nonsense Full Back, with Kiene covering for him with the same role. Imamovic, quite by default, ended up being our second CB (as well as our second option for Right Full Back). Kiene went in the game 21 times from the bench to replace the most exhausted player of our back 4. In midfield, both Neumann & Bauer are more attack-minded, but Bauer is comfortable playing as a DLP, so I had DLP / AP, with sometimes Todorovic playing as a BWM when we needed more defense. On the wings, Fötschl & Bandlow are on their own at the moment, with some of the younger strikers able to play on the wings when needed. Up front, Götz made a big step this year and his pairing with Gül was very appreciable, except for our poor Dorfmayr who started all most all games on the bench. Quite soon our only "non regen" will be Yannic Fötschl. Admin & Facilities : Révélation We took advantage of all the money received in August to ask for improvements, and the board said yes to everything ! We also moved back to our "new stadium" in March, only for our board to announce another capacity increase at the end of the year. We play the European games in another stadium with around 22K seats, which gives us quite the amount in gate receipts ! Bonus : Révélation European Golden Boy and N°2 U-19 player in the world, not bad for M. Luca Götz. But I think his days with us are numbered, I managed to hold on to him during the winter break but he seems set to go rather sooner than later... Youth Intake : Far from the best preview, OK intake I would say. 5 elite talents (and Lukas Herrmann that should have been up there, clear gap between his potential and the other "top" talents). Kevin Schwab : Seen as potentially better than Kovacic. Which is good. Personality : unambitious. Not good. Will be in a fight with Albl (29-GK1) to be on the bench and we will see which one develops best ! Révélation Rodoljub Tatic : Seen as a Winger by my HoY, I would like to see what he can do as a Right Back. But unambitious as well... Révélation Alireza Saedi : Could probably be on my bench right now. If his potential is as advertised, he could be one of my future central midfielders for a long time. Once more though, a disappointing personality. Révélation Maximilian Schulz : Saedi was more of an attacking playmaker, Schulz is a BWM. Apart from Todorovic, I do not have that kind of profile, so I am eager to see his development. Révélation Hendrik Weiss: To be frank, I believe he is one of the best strikers to ever come out of our youth ranks. If he has a lot of potential to go unlock, he could be a star for us. Révélation Lukas Herrmann : Maybe by HoY knows something that I do not, maybe Lukas has almost reached his full potential, but he looks like a good talent to me too. If only my training centre could give me Full Backs as often as Strikers... Révélation 7 years after : Why 7 do you ask ? Well, maybe because I forgot to do it at 5 and 6. Or maybe because 3 times 7 equals 21, which could therotically cover a whole regen career, from 15 to 36. Anyway, this will be the place where we reflect on our regens that popped up 7 years ago. Back in 2024, I was not yet in charge of Austria Salzburg, but arrived to find (7) promising regens. Where are they now ? Tsvetan Dimitrov, GK never managed to find his spot with us and is now playing with SV Kematen in the Austrian 2. Liga, where he has a grand total of 0 appearances. Idrissa Bah, CD turned LB has been a must-start for the past 5 years. My youth center does not seem to enjoy the idea of producing a LB, so he remains without competition at the moment. If by miracle someone would show up, he would be in competition with Imamovic for second-best CB. Kevin Futschik, RB has never played professional football. He is with a lower-league austrian team now. Harun Islamovic,CB has never left us ! I checked, he has been staying month after month in our youth ranks since his contract expired. 140€ per month for 7 years !! Luka Todorovic, CM hangs on with us, always as a 3rd or 4th best CM. Some more ambitious players leave and he is always there to pick up the scrubs. Stefan Allenstein, CM is nowhere to be found, and Frank Ammerman, ST decided to call it quit at age 20. Still 3/7 with us (granted, only 2 meaningful). Game in a nutshell : Edited November 30, 2023 by Gonner

Spoiler Cup Performance: CHAMPION BDFSP need to really work on their defense. Spoiler North American Champions League: Caribbean Zone: We started off with a draw to Mount Pleasant 2-2, and then took the rest of the teams in the group to comfortably advance. Spoiler Caribbean Playoff: We got our old friend Humble Lion and this time dispatched them. Spoiler NACL 2nd Round We drew Santos Laguna. Not the easiest, but certainly not the hardest Mexican opposition. Spoiler What a bad game in Mexico. Within the first 10 minutes we had 1 open chance missed, and 2 goals called back from offsides and then they scored. From there we had an absolute shamble of a first half that saw us down 3-0 by halftime with the next two goals coming from being caught with our pants down on the counter after one of my players would just gift them the ball. My team talk at halftime and a more aggressive tactic saw us at least play a somewhat competent second half. Truly one of the worst games we’ve played in the NACL, especially with the chances we gave to Nurse up front with at least 2 clear cut one’s he failed to convert. We played for pride in Barbados and put in a respectable performance, but there was no coming back from a 4 goal deficit. Their goal at the end was a fluke double deflected goal and as you can see was their sole shot on target, but is about par for the course with this tie. NACL Tournament Tree: Considering Santos Laguna only lost the final in a penalty shootout against Monterrey I guess I am less disappointed in our performance. They had a crazy hard path playing the other top 4 teams (IMO) of America and Chivas. Spoiler Squad: CA Player List: Spoiler Excel Graphs: It's very clear the current stars are on decline as we see the top ability average clearly descending, but that's to be expected with thin intakes the past few years. Spoiler Player Highlights: Arantes Lloyd has mostly topped out at a very skilled Wingback. Wish he had better acceleration, but other than that he's a great player for North America. Spoiler Renaldo Holder: on the other flank is less defensively competent, but quicker wingback who still has potential left to improve slightly. Spoiler Tre Croney: Rounds out our 3rd young player highlight, as he has developed pretty well for us at CB. He's still only 17 so I expect to see a couple more points of mental development, which will then make him a decent enough CB for us. Spoiler Transfers: Didn't bother to loan anyone this year and had already sold the unnecessary extra players. Spoiler Best XI: FM Screenshots: Spoiler Excel Tables: Spoiler Head Coach: 1100 Games Spoiler Club Improvements: Finished our youth facility upgrade up to "Excellent". Option hasn't reappeared to upgrade, but I'm not surprised. Guess we have another decade to wait... Spoiler Youth Academy: HOYD: Spoiler Youth Intake Preview: Finished the YF upgrade before the Youth Preview, and what do you know we might have a Golden Generation. At least they aren’t D rated. Youth Intake: Well Okay I’d say that is a golden generation. Getting 2 Youth Facility upgrades since our last intake seems to have already made a massive difference. This is our first Elite Talent in years! Top 3 Players: Spoiler Of course, the best player is a GK, which is the position we least need help in but he'll make a good developmental GK. My Starter is 22 and my backup GK is 27, so this guy will see a lot of loans for the next 5 years till he comes back to be the backup unless he really does something special developing. We then got a crazy overload of Right wing players, with 2 Natural WB-R and an AM-R who all have acceptable CA and in general a good starting speed setup even if two of the 3 personalities aren’t great. And then finally we have a low PA striker who has a poor personality and speed, but maybe could develop into something half useful. Excel Tables: I'm testing out 3 year Moving Averages on the charts rather than direct point-to-point lines. Not sure I'm sold on it. Data-wise you can see that this year was indeed a golden generation even without any star pupils. Still the WB-R's make it into our top 10 and you can see the top 5 CA. Spoiler Barbados National Team: Just friendlies after the Gold Cup defeat and failure at WCQ. Next year is Nations League Div A in a nasty group with both Mexico and Jamaica. Spoiler Road View Internationals: Barbados Main: Spoiler Barbados Youth: Spoiler Caribbean International Performance: This year was WCQ for North America. Was a decent performance for the Caribbean with Trinidad & Tobago as well as Jamaica qualifying for the World Cup. Looks better for Barbados to loose in prelims to an eventual World Cup bound nation. Spoiler Summary Well that was an aptly timed high potential intake as we need to push our generational shift into high gear. I expect to have a few more seasons of early exits in the NACL until we can mature this next generation. At least we have more players with potential now to work with. The Journey Continues! We lost so many stupid games through the season we should have won and only just managed to get in the playoffs. Although I do guess attention may have been directed somewhere else.... Anyway, a bit on that later. The playoffs! We're back in the Championship! A fairly comfortable playoff run - we should have beat Partick Thistle but a late equaliser meant we needed to win away and we did just that. Another Solomon Frimpong goal putting us through there and he helped himself to a double in the away leg to Montrose, putting us back in the 2nd tier at the first attempt. Cup: Now here's the actual juicy bit of the season! We finally went on a proper cup run!! And managed to absolutely FM Hibs, who have taken over Rangers in the top 2 of Scotland and have been in the top 2 for 11 consecutive seasons. Speaking of Rangers, they actually approached me for their job, so I got a look at their expections - them only wanting to avoid automatic relegation shows how far they've fallen! Anyway, our 2 shocks: I genuinely do not know how we managed to beat Hibs - Laird had a 9.3 rating in goal and you can pretty much see why! I don't think I had any nerves left, especially after the disallowed goal in the 87th. We followed it up with a fairly deserved win over Ross County (still in the Premiership). Whilst the game against Hibs was a smash and grab, this one I felt we were always on top and thanks to a big stroke of luck by virtue of a 94th minute own goal, we managed to get into the Semi Final. We were actually without Solomon Frimpong for the Ross County game, but you can see in our 4-3 defeat to Dundee in the Semi Final (Oh so close....) just how much of a difference he was and is in any game that we're involved in now. Youth Intake: A pretty below average intake for us here, although the potential is now a bit more accurate as I've got 2 players classed as Leading Championship players being 4.5 stars so we're able to see a bit more accurately now! Cairns and Ferguson (both MC) will hopefully fit quite nicely into midfield eventually, but other than that it's a fairly quiet one. Team Round Up: Every few years or so I'll do this as I'm concentrating more on results than the intakes! Cup hero Gavin Laird (GK) is between the sticks for us and has very quietly become one of our best players. He was only supposed to be a leading League 2 potential player, but since he's got the starting spot he's just got better and better. Has made me think a little about the other players I've potentially missed in my own intakes! Jamie Shand anchors our defence and whilst he's not the quickest, his mentals certainly make up for it. Has played in nearly every game for 6 seasons and is a pretty decent League 1 level player. Jamie Gormal sits inbetween the defense and midfield and patrols the park pretty well. Was another quite like Laird in that his ability has shot up quite significantly and I'm quite excited to see what he can turn into. Our central midfield pairing was featured last time (albeit 1 of them in a different position), but they've been so stable for us there. Here's 20 year old and 28 year old Bailey McKay - who I think will likely take a step back into central defence in the next couple of years. Beside him, here's 16 year old and 24 year old Harry Stewart, who whilst he's unambitious, has actually improved massively. Wasn't intending to play him in the centre of midfield, but he tended to stay there, especially as we've got another decent enough left attacking midfielder. Gerry Winton, my cult hero so far in this save, is still around. Isn't putting in the same kind of performances as previously, but is still decent enough to start for us on the right wing. Finally up front, the current Tranent main man Solomon Frimpong. He does have a couple years left on his contract, so it's likely I'll try sell him as he doesn't want to renew. Has 52 goals in 84 appearances since coming through for us a couple of years ago, and whilst he "only" picked up 26 goals for us this season, he missed 11 league games which shows just how reliant we were on him and was probably the reason we didn't go up automatically. Facilities: Just a little final bit here - we have managed to get ourselves a training facility upgrade thanks to the cup run - costing us just under £1m so hopefully we can get our players ability up a bit more as we have been hampered a little bit by it. We might have the youth setup, but we don't have anything past this which is what is limiting us. Previous Post: 2040/41 Season Report Club: Tranent FC (Scotland) League: Scottish Championship League: Got a bit over excited in this again, but we did reach the playoffs in 4th for our first season back in the Championship. Whilst it might look like we sneaked in, we actually completely lost form which I'm actually putting down to a Gavin Laird (GK) injury. Got injured after a cup game, then we won 2 out of our next 10! Playoffs: I think I might struggle a bit with getting out of the Championship through the playoffs. Compared to League 1/2, it's practically a gauntlet and as a part time club playing Wednesday/Saturday the players are exhausted. It was actually still 2-2 against St Johnstone till the 75th minute, then they completed the victory with an 89th minute goal. I've got a really bad habit with this save of late goals in important games! Cup: Fifth round against Hibs away? Same as last year? Wanna see me do it again? A lot more dicey than last year but still as nervewracking!! Yet again, Laird's the hero (followed up his 9.3 last year with a 9.0 this year) as we knock out Hibs at what is now their home stadium with the fantastic name of "Hibernian Stadium". It was right after this game that Laird got injured, so he missed the Quarter Final as we lost to St Mirren at home. If he was fully fit I think it might have been a different story but we completely lost form around here too. Facilities: An upgrade to training! We're now Below Average for that. The youth setup costs are still spiralling now, as we're paying around £200k per month just because we're in the Championship (this is about 50% of our expenditure a year now). However, we have made a bit of a sad record as we've sold our first £1m player: It's still a decent amount of money but we're very much struggling in the goalkeeper department without him. We do still have Solomon Frimpong who actually accepted a new contract so we've got him pinned down for 3 more seasons at least. I'm hoping we're able to get one of our goalkeepers up to scratch, as Frimpong is classed as a good Premiership player, so literally everything in this team revolves around him now! Youth Intake: (Completely forgot this on first posting... oops!) John Peat (DL) goes immediately into our starting 11, never mind first team! And a Model Citizen to boot! Douglas Fordyce (AMR) will be in and around the first team, but overall it was a pretty decent intake. Very much needing a goalkeeper now though - we've been fortunate in recent years but we haven't been able to keep hold of them! Popular Post Matsusipida
IFK Lidingö Season 5 / 2028 We had a fine season. We were fighting for promotion untill the last five games or so. We had 1/5/1 record from last 7 matches and that ruined our promotion changes. We eventually finished 7th only 5 point from champions. Spoiler Calle Sjöberg was a crusial player to us with 9 goals and 12 assists. Brenner Tois scored 22 goals. Thomas Meunier 27A also had a brilliant season 7 goals and 10 assists. Spoiler Spoiler Calle Sjöberg. Sorry for those pics, I somehow cropped names out of them... Spoiler Mijailovic 25A Spoiler I was looking forward to see the actual youth intake after a great looking prewiev. Spoiler And the Intake didn't dissapoint me. Constant improvements in youth department are finally paying some dividents. This is the first time we get more than one player who is capable of helping the first team. Philip Palmén 28A is looking great. I'm also hoping Landstöm 28B could quickly become our first choice GK. Spoiler Spoiler finances are looking good. We had our junior coaching increased once again. youth facilities were downgraded, that's a bit unpleasant. Spoiler transfers Spoiler My biggest concern in this save is loosing all my best youth prospects. Last year we lost Omar Olsson 24B, who was a key player. Now our two best layers Mijailovic 25A and Åkermark 26A are both unwilling to extend contract with us due to our squad is not good enough. They both moan squad should be improved. Luckily they both still have 12 months left. I would understand it if any team woud be interensted in signing them but no. Maybe they just want to play in a lower league with better player like Olsson 24B did. I Can't remember having such big problems in my youth run in FM22. Popular Post CJ'43
Kavala Football Club / Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καβάλα Season 2 - 2025/26 Schedule / Squad / Transfers / Finances / Manager Season Summary: another season where we comfortably avoided relegation. The predicted at the start of the season was 14th place, however I aimed for the top half of the table, and we achieved that by finishing 9th in the Betsson Super League 2. In the cup we defeated two teams from a lower division before being eliminated by APO Levadeiakos from the first division. Youth candidates: once again very happy with this year's intake. A few players that will be part of the first squad next season, like Tasos Alavantas 26a, Aris Tsanaktsoglou 26b, Dimitris Polychronidis 26c, Pavlos Christou 26d and Panagiotis Manafis 26e. This is a reflection of the investment the board made this year, allowing our youth recruitment to reach a more adequate level. Kosmas Gekas with 17 goals was once again our top goalscorer, even with 2 months out of competitions due to an injury. Lefteris Astras, was crowned the best goalkeeper of the year in Super League 2 and our player with the highest average rating. I was 3rd place in the manager of the year award and throughout this year the board allowed me to take 2 courses. I am currently studying to obtain a National A License. Popular Post XaW
XaW - Cardiff Draconians - Season 2030/31 (Season 7) - JD Cymru Premier Squad | Transfers | Finances There's the TNS that has been missing so far this save. They ran away very early, and it was up to the rest of us to fight for the European spots. We had a really bad start and struggled for a while, but then found our footing and slowly climbed up. Eventually we finished 3rd, but even thoguh Bala Town won the cup, we still got a chance to get into Europe since Wales got an extra spot this season. So we went into a playoff for it, where we beat Cardiff Met Uni and Holywell to win it. As usual, our issue is that we concede too many goals and I'll keep working on it. At least we keep getting into Europe, and I've spent most of the money on facilities to get in better youngsters. My top 3 pick of players this season are: 1. Sam Howells 27a - Still going strong for us, and I'm going to hang on to him until the contract is up, unless I manage to convince him to sign of course. He also got his first U21 cap for Wales! 2. Des Lee 29a - Another very strong season from him out on the left wing. 3. Ashley Brown 30b - A great breakthrough season in midfield for the youngster. He is clearly best going forward, but a great start to his career. Welsh Cup: We lost to Llanelli Town in the 2nd round. Quite fall from our win last season. League Cup: We beat Llantwit Major before we lost to Swansea Uni in the 3rd round. Europa Conference League: We beat Valmiera of Latvia and Dnipro of Ukraine before we lost to Slovan Bratislava of Slovakia in the 3rd qualifying round. A really good attempt, and I'm very surprised we beat Dnipro! I got some more improvements accepted this season. Around the world U19s: They won the Cymru Premier Development League (South) this season again, and even did it without a single loss! Welsh Youth Cup: They beat Bangor 1876, Swansea Uni, Pontardawe, Cardiff Met Uni, and TNS to reach the final. There they beat Afan Lido to claim the title! They posted recently that they are currently working on the fm24 version of the carrribean megapack, but the FM23 version is on here in the editors section. I'd recommend waiting for the new one over convetting an fm23 save with this as there are two major updates coming: fix of a league reputation bug and updated Caribbean Shield and Cup for more dynamic team qualifications. They changed their kits since 2016 I believe, you can check if I'm 100% on the colour - if in the editor they have a full set of kit I found all the info needed. If they only have a shirt, I only found the club colour (e.g. the French Football Federation just states team colours and I couldn't find a picture online). Edit: Looks like the club's reported colours at the time I created them were Blue and white, but no kit found... interesting! Determination and personality wise not a good intake. Spoiler With Schroeder 26C we get a potential first team DC. Lima 26E is a good MC prospect and with Gonçalves 26F we have another DC option. Braun 26G has some good attributes like finishing and agression so he good push for a senior squad spot. Popular Post tobiahabramson
Macclesfield Town FC Vanarama National League North Season 6 2029-30 Results League: 8th Place FA Cup Second Qualifying Round: Win 4 -1 v. WroxhamTown (Isthmian D1N) Third Qualifying Round: Win 6-0 v. Barwell (Southern Premier League) Fourth Qualifying Round: Loss 0-1 v. Stevenage (National League) FA Trophy Second Round: Win 1-1 (p) v. Bishop's Strotford (Isthmian Premier League) Third Round: Loss 0-2 v. Solihull Moors (National League) Season Overview At what point do you give up on a YA save because it feels like you're making no progress? Macclesfield had another largely successful season, until a 2nd year in a row late season collapse that saw us drop out of the playoff positions on the final game of the season. We went 2-1-8 in our last 9 games of the season. We had 2 devestating injuries (including an 8 month spinal injury) to 2 of our key 3 strikers that left our offence struggling, and a defence that although improving, is still too slow and young and quite leaky. Our squad has largely moved on from the original players that were at the club when I took over, with GK Connor O'Keefe the only one that still commands a regular starting position. This year however, his physicals began to noticeably decline and I think his time as our starting GK is nearing an end, I am hoping to get another year out of him and start to rotate my backup, an 18 year old who needs work but isn't awful. Tactically, we generally stuck with a 3-5-3 or 3-5-1-2 that at least saw us scoring a decent amount of goals most games Due to our relegation two years ago, a few of our players remained upset and declared that they would leave as a free agent at the end of the season. I was holding out hope that we could earn promotion and last minute convince them to stay. A couple of them did end up re-signing contracts, but we are unfortunately losing two key players to frees. Dean Whelan and Alex Cunningham: We had our first major sale this season as well, selling striker Prince Debrah to Championship-side Middlesborough for $50k with a 30% sale clause and a friendly. He was in the last year of contract and was also not interested in resigning with us. We had three more players gain international u18 callups, including a callup to the England U18s for our defender Leone Hollyoak Youth Intake Spoiler Edited December 1, 2023 by tobiahabramson

2041/42 Season Report Club: Tranent FC (Scotland) League: Scottish Championship League: Bit disappointed from this season - we had an extremely poor middle of the season and just couldn't pick up the points. As long as I can keep Solomon Frimpong, I think we'll keep in the top half of the table anyway. Thankfully, he's actually quite happy and signed another deal too. I've also made him captain so you might as well change our name from Tranent to Frimpong FC! We got to the fifth round of the cup again - but we didn't draw Hibs this time, but instead the other side of Edinburgh in Hearts. A 2-1 loss knocked us out at the stage we seem to be getting to every year, so it's not too disheartening. More just where we'd expect to be every year. Youth Intake: To match the very mid season, we get a very mid youth intake. Nothing much to really say here either! Little round up here - Youth Setup costs are still absolutely killing us and we need to get promoted in the next couple of years to be able to offset the costs I think. That, or selling Frimpong as his value is getting up to the £2m mark. He managed a club record 34 goals this season and is going from strength to strength, so to sell him would be to somewhat admit defeat as we're completely reliant on him. Could be some very difficult decisions ahead if we don't get promoted.

Popular Post BustaRaymes
Smethwick Rangers 2027/28 Northern Premier League Division One Midlands Antoher solid season as we were expected to go down, but were close to a playoff spot again. A nice FA Cup run included a win over Vanarama South outfit Folkestone Invicta. Squad Ayoola is still our only capable centre back and did well, scoring 6 goals this season. Piteu Crouz was underused for a long time, but with Lawson declining hard and the position being changed from IF to W, he excelled. Our enigma that is Wignall delivered again. He lacks so much and has no right reaching these stats, but he's invaluable. He's extremely slow, his off the ball is mediocre at best, and he can't do set pieces. Yet he pops up in the area more than I've ever seen from his position, he rifles in free kicks and plays such a big part in our attacking game. I love him. Feeney exploded up front with 33 goals, continuing his great form. Transfers More loans, as playing time is the only way players develop at this level. Youth intake I'm still not overly enthousiastic but this looks at least a little bit better. Myers is not realy for a spot just yet, but his crossing looks good. He'll probably get a few games in next season. How on earth is Parton rated half a star CA? He might even be better than Ayoola already, making him miles better than anyone we pulled to date. Humphreys has some way to go but his 5* potential feels hopeful.

NielsPanis
Hi all, This is my first time commenting on this thread. I'm fully invested in your YAC-saves and decided to do one myself. I'm managing Hønefoss BK in the Norwegian leagues. Yet, I'm having some difficulties you all may have a solution for as you all are more experienced than myself. Most of the talents demand a youth contract instead of a part-time deal after coming through the youth ranks. This is not the biggest problem in the beginning, but the rules in the Norwegian First Division make it difficult to play with these players. Rule: Players on a Youth or Amateur contract can play a maximum of 3 games in the league before they aren't allowed to play any more games in the First Division. I have a promising striker who demanded a youth contract and after that did not want to enter contract negotiations because the squad is not good enough. I literally cannot play him because he already maxed out the 3 games, in which he scored 4 times. What do I do now? Still in love with all of your amazing saves. Keep it going! Popular Post Brentmeister
Season 6 Summary Mid-table mediocrity! I feared the worst after the media had us at 1000/1 again, but, a comfortable season saw us safely mid-table for most of the campaign, we briefly even flirted with the top 5. We qualified for the second phase group where we finished second on goal difference, narrowly missing out on a European play-off. _______ We also made the semi-finals of the cup where we lost to Club Brugge over 2 legs. Next season, European qualification is a real possibility and also a necessity due to our finances (see below). ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Youth 5 elite talents, with better personalities this time around. Young striker Geoffroy Blancke looks particularly promising. Here he is 9 months on. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Finances Just when I think I'm coming to grips with the finances in Belgium, they throw another spanner in the works. The board is building a new stadium, and we have to repay 275k a month for the loan to do so. We're already losing 2m a year now it'll be closer to 5m. I have to make Europe or sell my best prospects every season just to stand still, I also need lots of upgrades if I'm ever gonna build a Champions League winning team. We did get stadium naming rights of 14m over 10 years but that's only 1.4m per season compared to the 3.5m loan repayments. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Transfers and other stuff ~ We reached our 200th game in management ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Edited December 1, 2023 by Brentmeister

My current experience in Belgium if they're not asking for anything I got 13K p/a and they accept. if they ask for a bunch of things 15K p/a seems to do the trick. Was some trial and error though. Popular Post Daddy
2025/26 Season Review - Belgian third tier - Season 2 After the blip in form in the early part of the season the team rebounded to a solid midtable team. We'll beat the champions and lose to the relegation squads. Just wildly incosistent. Here's where the extra part of this challenge picks up. The finances. After downgrading to semi-pro I know I'm losing everyone on a full contract, so I'm playing the balancing act of selling some players while having enough players to remain competitive while the team reloads. A lot of the players sold when I moved to that way of thinking had significant profit clauses and friendlies etc just for some future revenue. The extra fun is the club has added a negative transfer balance model. I have the room to cover it but they won't let me adjust the budget and the clauses can't be sold at the moment. That's frustrating, but they're not yelling at me. Strong intakes are helping me with this overall strategy. Right now I've frozen the roster, but I may sell a player or two in January. 2026/27 Preview: This is the final year for players and staff to be on full-time contracts. I'll have a better idea in the next offseason how much money the club is bleeding. For now, the goal is just survival and building up the players I have. No long-term development plans. With a very young squad, I expect a lot of inconsistency, but I am predicting another midtable finish.

You would suggest finding the sweetspot in offering the part-time deals instead of the youth contracts? That sounds fine as financially I can compensate for this. And for the current situation, can I do something about forcing my striker to sign a part-time contract so I can play with my 4.5 star striker instead of 2 star? Does the game acknowledge the fact we are both in a bad situation?

Does the game acknowledge the fact we are both in a bad situation? I would also second what @Daddy said here. I think moving forward you can roughly know that 95% of youth products will sign for x amount of money for a part time contract. In Scotland, I tend to try get most of them at £50 p/w, but for the better players it tends to go up to £100 p/w. It's more learning how the game perceives your club and what they can offer. As for the current situation... honestly I'd say it's a bit of a lost cause. Keep an eye on the players happiness (even try offer them a contract weekly), but it may be a cause of having to sell the player to get something from him. For example, I'm losing my entire midfield (I'm playing a DM with 2 MC's) at the end of the season, but because my reputation isn't high enough yet, they're going for small values. £115k combined, but all have a 50% sell on fee clause attached to make sure if they do become a good player and sold on, I'm able to get some money in to combat the lack of reputation my club has (which obviously affects the player value). Lacking technically, but if I can keep getting that strength up he'll be a proper force. I'm genuinely amazed he's not wanted to leave more than anything - even now he's happy signing a new contract when he's clearly far too good for the level (. There's no minimum fee clause either that he wants, so I'm loving it. If you've identified players you want to ensure they can play without restrictions, get them on a real contract. If it's a developmental project that needs at least a year or two of seasoning then a youth contract wouldn't hurt you. It's all situational for the player, league, and financial status of the club. I might even be ready to buy FM24 and dig in before Christmas. I've got an update for your post, we've made our first NACL FINAL!!! This will be a tall order, but we've slain 3 Giants to get here Monterrey, Tigres & America. Hilariously this will be the easiest of the Liga Mx Clubs we have to face. Brutal how it's a single game final not at a neutral venue. Going to be a wild 2059 Update: Edited December 1, 2023 by WhiteCat33

Popular Post libbyshuss
Japan - Honda FC/Haneda Division J1 - 2038 (season 14) Objectives: Champions League glory! Complete the challenge! Season Summary Well, egg and my face are in alignment... Champions League 1: First games of the season was our Champions League 2nd round matches against Hiroshima, who knocked us out at the quarter final stage last season. Time for revenge, right? well.... well, still another chance at the end of the season I guess. League I was worried that those results would have a negative effect on our league campaign but we actually started really well., winning our first 4. But then we had a run of frustrating injuries, coupled with fitness issues, and the fact I only had one DM and one RW meant I had to keep switching from 4123 to a 4231, which never helps. And we kept slipping down the table. We ended up 7th, and being that our media prediction was 4th that's a pretty poor showing really. Also means we're out of the Champions League (well, the one that starts in almost 2 years anyway) Cups - We only went and won the league cup again, which is ironic as its the one trophy I really could not care less about! Champions League 2: Back end of the season sees the start of the next Champions League, which we qualified for last season. And we were brilliant, qualified easily, and who do we have in the knockout draw at the start of next season? Hiroshima again! 3rd time lucky? we'll see.... Players Still quite a young side to be honest, but easily the best side I've had so far. It's really nice that our club rep is high enough that the players are generally happy to stay. I used 4231 at the default tactic this season Mitsuhiro Doi 35A was the real breakthrough star. He can play up front as well so when we went 4123 he played as a striker, hence his 28 goals. Shingo Deguchi 37A made his debut at the end of the season at MC, scored 2 and assisted 1 for a 10.0 rating. very nice! Youth Career
Makoto Nakamura
2025/26 Youth Candidates With four AMC's coming through I was a little worried. I had no reason to worry because we have seven 5* CA players and none of them are AMC's! Yes they're still rubbish but still really good for the level we're at!
Popular Post WhiteCat33
I'm fuming at this being the goal that did us in just before the ET Halftime: Imgur: The magic of the Internet. If the NACL played the final at a neutral venue this would have been different. We lost every game in Mexico to then come back to bring level or win in Barbados as our home stadium boost is that significant. This game comes 2/3 of the way through the Barbados regular season, so it will be a while till I get to a proper update. Just couldn't leave ya'll hanging. Edit: this is the penalty I get for using SI's default NACL instead of @V50's. Theirs isn't correct for 2023. In real life it was a 2-legged final like all the earlier rounds 2023 CONCACAF Champions League final - Wikipedia Spoiler Edited December 1, 2023 by WhiteCat33
Popular Post XaW
XaW - Cardiff Draconians - Season 2031/32 (Season 8) - JD Cymru Premier Squad | Transfers | Finances It took a while, but we got our first ever league win! Just an excellent season overall, and I'm very happy with how the team is progressing now. The core of the team is still very young, so we are having issues with consistency still, but it's slowly coming along. The team did try their best to throw away the league win though, as we have two matches to decide it, but decided to draw against Caersws and lose to Cardiff Met Uni. Luckily for us, Colwyn Bay also lost their final match to allow us the title. Now, we are finally having our first go in the Champions League next season! My top 3 pick of players this season are: 1. Sam Howells 27a - An even crazier season by our talisman striker. More than a goal a game is just amazing. 2. Ashley Brown 30b - Followed up a great start with another great season in midfield. 3. Ethan Moore 31a - Another midfielder with a very solid first season. Welsh Cup: We beat Taffs Well, Llanidloes, Penrhyncoch, and Trefelin BGC before we lost to Colwyn Bay in the semi final. League Cup: We beat Pontypridd before we lost to Cardiff Met Uni in the 3rd round. Europa Conference League: We beat KuPS of Finland before we lost to Sivasspor of Turkey in the 2nd qualifying round. I got some more improvements accepted this season. Around the world U19s: They won the Cymru Premier Development League (South) this season again. Welsh Youth Cup: They lost TNS in the 2nd round. UEFA Youth League: They beat Legia Warzawa of Poland before they lost to Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia in the 3rd qualifying round. I initially thought he kicked it off someone's back and it then reversed and went in our goal. I had to watch that replay multiple times for the sheer stupidity of that clearance to sink in. If it was a sub youngster I'd have accepted it as the risks of substitutions with such a thin squad. However, that was the thought process of a 26 year-old Driven player with 16 concentration, 15 Decisions and 14 vision who is one of our top 5 players and a seasoned international... Absolutely brutal. Does he have poor "big games" stats? Maybe he tried a killer ball? Maybe he was so short he couldn't see past the players? lol His composure is 12 and he was using his weaker foot, so maybe the player within two feet of him was enough to throw him off?
