Popular Post XaW
XaW - Astros de Colombia (Curaçao) - Season 2031 (Season 8) - CLiga MCB 1st Division Squad | Transfers | Finances Another strong season for us, but towards the end we lost both our best centre backs and we struggle a bit after that, but still retained the title. Going to be interesting to see how this affect us going forward. CONCACAF Champions League: We beat Isidro Metapán of El Salvador before we got beaten by Alajuelense of Costa Rica in the Round of 16. Caribbean Club Shield: We drew Etoile Matoury of French Guiana, W Connection of Trinidad & Tobago, La Gauloise of Guadeloupe, Arcahaie of Haiti, and Western Warriors of the Bahamas in the 1st phase. We won all matches to finish top of our group. In the 2nd phase group we drew Paradise (GRN) of Grenada, Cayon FC of St. Kitts & Nevis, and GDF of Guyana. We drew once and won the other two and finished top of the group again. In the semi final we beat Inter Moengotapoe of Suriname before we finally beat W Connection again after also beating them in the 1st phase. So another trophy for us. Caribbean Cup: We drew Mount Pleasant of Jamaica, Golden Lion of Martinique, Tempête of Haiti, and Cavalier of Jamaica in the group stage. We drew once and won the rest to finish top of the group. In the final we beat TLH Rangers (who later on stole one of my centre backs!) to claim our first Caribbean Cup trophy! I did take a leaf out of @Daddys book and watch most of a full game and then also delved into the analytics (Data Hub) to see where we were going wrong. For me it was simple things like losing possession from Goal Kicks (So I changed to roll the ball out from the goalie), certain players not playing simple balls (changed individual instructions to shorter passing and take less risks) etc.
glennuk
Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg - Season 10 - Japan J2 League - End of Season Review League - 12th We were never really in any danger here. In fact we never once even dipped into the relegation zone. So for our first season in the J2 league it was a pretty impressive year. Our players didn't seem phased by the step up and alot of players have started to really make strides in their development. Squad The team are definitely improving and we had some really good performances throughout the year. Ryu Joseph Hashimura is one of my legacy players who has been strong throughout the save. He is definitely on the decline, but he still ended up with 16 goals and 7 assists this season, with a superb average rating of 7.20. Naoki Kato (YP06F) is my deep lying playmaker and is just very solid and consistent. Kenta Kawai (YP08B) is probably our best player now, he has improved a lot and is my starting right back, but occasionally does get asked to play in the CDM position when we are trying to close out a game. We could definitely do with another striker as Fumiya Ono (YP06B) is definitely more of a link up player than an out and out striker. 3 goals in 37 starts is just not enough, even if he isn't the main focal point of attack. Lastly Kazutoshi Sasaki (YP04G) is an odd one. He is not the most talented player, seems to have reached his potential already, but still chips in with a decent amount of goals and assists from the right wing position. He probably isn't the future of the team, but in the present I will keep playing him if he keeps performing. Finances We are doing much better in terms of finances. We were 750,000 in the red at the end of last season and at the end of this season we were just 100,000 in the red. Youth Intake We had a relatively strong intake, although only 4 elite talents. We could do with a good striker and a couple of good MC so I was happy we at least got the midfielders. Top 3 - Youth Intake 10 (I messed up a bit with the tagging here, not sure how) Nobuhiro Ono (YP10A) A young midfielder with plenty of talent. His personality is not great and he needs to improve his technical ability, but I do think he could be a starter in the future. I know the long shots of 7 doesn't look like much, but I do appreciate a CM that can shoot from distance, and most of my CMs have a 5 or below in this area. Definitely needs some work before he is in the first team, but I have some hope for him. Masahiko Iwanga (YP10H) So I usually put my B (tagged) player here, but I didn't tag a B player in this intake. Another CM who has some potential and an area we need to improve in. In this case it is mentals that need some work here, with his off the ball and positioning especially concerning. Again another one for the future and one I hope can make a difference. Kenshiro Sato (YP10C) As mentioned we may have an opening on the right wing coming up in the next couple of years and I believe Sato could be the answer. He isn't the quickest winger (and I like pace on the wings), but he has good crossing and dribbling for this level. He also has a decent personality which can make all the difference. Other News We did manage to get a new sponsorship deal for our Kit, which meant it immediately went into an upgrade to our training facilities.
Popular Post glennuk
10 Year Insights - Player Improvement After 10 years in this kind of challenge I always like having a bit of a deep dive into things. Especially looking at the level of improvement that players have. So here is a quick look for those who may be interested, but also partially for me to reflect and look back on in the future. Toshimitsu Kaji (YP05D) My starting left back and someone who has surprised and impressed me with the amount of goals and assists that he chips in with each season. His improvement has turned him from a player I wasn't sure would get in the first team, to someone who is one of the first players on the team sheet. His Physicals have improved immensely, with a total of +24 in total attributes. Now solid physically, he can be counted on to play all season and use his pace and acceleration to get forward and back when needed. His Mentals have also improved to a very high level with a total of +23 total attributes. His anticipation and concentration sees him make plenty of good plays, intercepting opponent passes and starting the counter attack. The +5 in vision has certainly helped with his assist tally. His Technicals have improved somewhat but not to a huge level. A total of +6 here mostly on the defensive end of Marking and Tackling. So in just over 4 years of development he has +53 in total attributes. Naoki Kato (YP06F) My starting Deep Lying Playmaker and probably my favourite player of the save so far. He is just so consistent, is becoming a leader on the field (and mentoring some youngsters with his fairly determined personality). He plays every game, every season and is rarely injured, not had any kind of bad runs of form. Even in games we lose he is often one of the bright points of the match. I think it is especially impressive from an F player, which means he was SIXTH best player when he came through the intake (at least in my estimation). His Physicals have improved slightly, with a total of +6 nothing too impressive here and he is relatively solid apart from that woeful strength attribute. His Mentals however have seen a HUGE increase with a total of +27 which is quite incredibly with only 4 years of development. Those increases in Anticipation, Composure and Positioning are probably some of the reason why he is so consistent. His Technicals like each of my players have seen the least increase with only +1 overall, however the +4 in passing is good to see, as a good playmaker needs that passing skill. His decreases again are in areas that won't impact his game to much of a degree. So in 4 years of development he has a big +34 in overall attributes. Fumiya Ono (YP06A) Tipped as my best player in the 'Golden Generation' of my sixth intake. He has become a starting Striker as an Advanced forward. He doesn't score as much as I would like, but he usually gets plenty of assists. Occasionally he does play in the CM Attack role as he can be versatile enough to fit in in midfield too. May not be in the first team for much longer as I need a striker who will get me more goals. His Physicals have seen a very good increase with +18 overall. A good all around physical player with the Strength and Stamina being too areas I was especially keen for him to improve in. His Mentals have been immense as is the trend with these players, with +26 overall. His Off the Ball, Composure and Anticipation seeing the biggest increase and being very important in that Advanced Forward role. His Technicals have seen a slight increase with a +3 overall. Clearly technicals are harder to improve, but I am glad his Dribbling, Passing and Long Shots have improved, as again for the roles he plays they are all important (Advanced Forward or CM on attack). So in just over 4 years of development he has a very strong +47 in total attributes. Takuya Nishimoto (YP05A) Has been one of my CMs, not always a started but definitely made some contributions. His development has been impressive but not as much as some of the others. His Physicals have had a good level of increase with a total of +11. His Strength is definitely a concern and to be honest he probably isn't going to be one of those players who is with us much longer although he did start 14 games in the most recent season. His Mentals have quite simply been immense in their increase, with a total of +24 with a massive +8 in his composure. His Technicals unfortunately have seen a decrease with -3 but in areas that are not important to his game (set pieces). So in just over 5 years he has an increase of +32 in total attributes. fries
10 hours ago, HanziZoloman said: This should be the last season, I won't make it I hope you managed to turn it around. My only advise is to do everything possible to keep the players' morale high. Take a team meeting, praise good training (above 7.9) or criticize bad training (below 6.4) every week, and play friendlies against the weakest team available when ever possible (mostly during international breaks, as the schedule is packed in the Championship). EDIT: and of course try to have a team bonding session every week in training. I have had success with timing a team meeting after a bad form just before a "must win" match against an opponent from the bottom of the league. libbyshuss
South Africa Premier Soccer League 2032/33 Season Summary For the first time in 15 seasons someone other than Mamelodi Sundowns won the league! Sadly, it wasn't us. The extra fixtures brought on by the Champions League left us struggling for fitness at times, but we're getting close! Champions League There's a huge range of abilities in Africa, as can be seen by our 15-2 win in the preliminary round second leg! We had a couple of dodgy results in the league stage, despite being the better team, but made it through fairly easily in the end. Quarter final was against the winners of the last two Champions League, ES Tunis, and although we were the better side their experience saw them through. But we've nothing to fear! Players Top Scorer: Phakamani Molefe 25K - 44 goals in 45 games Player of the Season: Phakamani Molefe 25K - 7.95 in 45 games Amazing season from Molefe. Nene 29A had a few injuries so we needed someone to step up, and Molefe did just that. At 24 years old he's the old man of the team as well. Youth I didn't get a preview this year for some reason. And the intake was only good! but still two elite prospects so not too shabby. Career Edited January 11 by libbyshuss
XaW
3 hours ago, leicester33 said: How many games do you play + which database are you using? Currently, there's about 45 matches each season in total, but a good chunk comes from the Carib competitions. As for database, I use @V50's Caribbean Megapack where I added a few nations, as well as some others I found on Steam workshop to add Oceania. Currently these are my loaded nations: I have a few more than I need, and I think I could remove the rest of the NA leagues. And I will remove them if I complete the NA part of my challenge, and then move over to Oceania. Then my plan is to complete it there (and I think that will be easier than in NA to be honest, as a side from Fiji and the Solomon Islands have won the Oceania CL the last two seasons! Then I think Asia or Africa, then South America, and finally Europe. And I will add and remove countries as I see fit to the challenge. Other than that I started with a big database, and added all international players, and all players from continental clubs in all continents to get a bigger set of players and more variety in the world as I play. The player count is around 100k. So far I've not noticed any slowness or anything going on in my save, as I fly through the seasons. Looks like I'm in for a bit of a grind to get better before I can challenge for the CONCACAF CL, as the US and the Mexican sides are just way too good still. Also think I need to go pro soon to keep my players, as the poaching has started. Last season I lost two defenders to Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, and I've already had another one of my prospects poached by a Dutch side this season. And I need to keep those players in order to start challenging the best sides in NA.

The board went from A- to a C in confidence already. We‘re getting slaughtered and it’s still a long way. I agree with @fries, try as hard as you get to make gains with morale. Imo, when you are in bad form it’s hard evaluate the performance because the player is impaired by how he is feeling (morale). But I know it’s very difficult when you’re in a rut on FM24. I’ve played seasons where things seem to be going okay, then bang! Out of nowhere, you go on a crazy losing run. I drew the conclusion – after experiencing this in several saves on this year’s FM – that it needs tweaking slightly by SI. I think that because good runs of form also feeling a being a bit easy or go on too long (sometimes). one more thing, I’d never be too harsh in team talks after a defeat, be disappointed sometimes but don’t be furious (unless you feel it will do some good) – I’ve noticed the later can crush morale, and cause other problems as you mentioned. Anyway, best of luck, @HanziZoloman!

Popular Post Padders
Season 16 - 2039/40 A bit to catch up on Slightly better season and we started well, lost one in 13 before the FA Cup 2nd Round Sat just in the play offs in November Then we lost to Rotherham in the FA Cup 2nd Round (furthest we had been since the 2nd season!) That then resulted in a terrible run of TWO wins in the next 19 games We managed to improve the Youth Facilities and Junior Coaching during the season We actually made some money as well

leyrtj
Mauriki FC - Vanuatu - Season 4 - 2023/24 - Vanuatuan Port Vila Premier Division (Tier 1) - 1st (lost in the playoff final) I could pretty much copy and paste the season 3 update here for season 4 and it would be mostly correct: Surprised to be in the OFC Champions League - CHECK* Won the league regular season but lost in the playoff (why have a league playoff?) - CHECK Knocked out by Team Wellington in the OFC Champions League knockouts and they go on to win it - CHECK First half of the season unbeatable then hit woeful form at the end when it really matter - CHECK AI constantly trying to sign my non-contract players, but holding them off by using end of season signing - CHECK Board giving me lots of junior coaching and youth recruitment improvements but still not coaching badges (not complaining) - CHECK Great youth intake - CHECK * - best I can work out so far is that the top 2 teams in the league at January 1st qualify OFC Champions League - progress to the quarter finals. Lost again to Team Wellington. Need to win our group to avoid the big teams in the quarters. The squad is now very young, with only a few of the original squad still remaining. The young players have come in and have, in some case, dramatically improved their star rating - showing how close all players at this level are. Youth Intake - our improvements in facilities are showing. Decent personalities as well. Edited January 11 by leyrtj

glennuk
Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg - Season 11 - Japan J2 League - Mid Season Review & Youth Intake Preview League - 4th so far So far in our second season in the J2 League, we have looked pretty comfortable. So much so that I have allowed myself to dare to dream about promotion to the top league. I do however think we may be a couple of years away from comfortably surviving in the top flight, so I don't want to get too carried away. There is such a thing as getting promoted too early right????? says the guy who has seen people almost complete the whole challenge in Japan by now We are once again an attacking team, top goalscorers in the league. However as usual we are not the most defensively sound team. Our unofficial Motto is still "We're gunna score one more than YOU, REINBERG" Best Match of the Save so far!! Had to share this one. Perhaps one of the reasons we are top scorers Clinical finishing at its finest. Japan Youth Team Call Ups Both Kenta Kawai (YP08B) and Shun'ichi Miyahara (YP09B) have been called up the the u20 and u19 Japan team respectively. Kawai is wanted by a raft of J1 league clubs, so I have told him he can leave if I get 1.4million. I would of cause make sure to get a next sale clause in, as long as the Chairman doesn't sell over my head again. Upgrades After solving our finance problems and being almost guaranteed at least J2 football next season, I thought I may as well request some upgrades. Youth Recruitment - Upgraded to Above Average New Contract - Until 2036 Training Facilities - Upgraded to Average Finances All this has left my finances pretty low, but I am confident we will be okay as since entering the J2 league we have made money each month, and I would virtually have to lose every game from now until the end of the season if I was to get relegated. Youth Intake Preview So we have once again an average looking intake. Despite the 4.5* view, I am a bit disappointed by the letter grades. We could however do with a star right winger at the moment, so hopefully that A grade is the right winger not either of the two on the left (in the intake preferred positions). Padders
Season 17 - 2040/41 The first time ever, I have had more than a couple of A rated in the preview A really poor season Spent the whole season in the bottom 6/7 Our lowest points total since we started The intake looked ok, a few Elite Youth Category dropped back to 0 from 4 already!
Popular Post XaW
XaW - Astros de Colombia (Curaçao) - Season 2033 (Season 10) - Liga MCB 1st Division Squad | Transfers | Finances Another good season for us, where we almost had a perfect season. Only a sloppy loss to Scherpenheuvel stopped that. We still retained the title though, as well as two Carib cups, so I can't really complain. We also had a great attempt in the CONCACAF CL, where we were narrowly lost to Vancouver Whitecaps. So we are not thumped anymore, at least! On we go. CONCACAF Champions League: We lost to Vancouver Whitecaps in the 1st round, but it was close. Caribbean Club Shield: We drew La Gauloise of Guadeloupe, AC PoS of Trinidad & Tobago, Dublanc of Dominica, Weymouth Wales of Barbados, and Devonshire Cougars of Bermuda. We won all matches and finished top of the group. In the 2nd phase we got Dunbeholden of Jamaica, Grenades of Antigua & Barbuda, and PHC Zebras of Bermunda. We once again won all matches and ended top. We then beat Inter Moengotapoe of Suriname and AC PoS again in the final to take another trophy. Caribbean Cup: We drew Cavalier of Jamaica, Mount Pleasant of Jamaica, Golden Lion of Martinique, and Tempête of Haiti. We won all except a single draw to end top of the group. Then we beat TLH Rangers of Trinidad & Tobago in the final to win our 2nd trophy here. BustaRaymes
FC Vaajakoski 2027 Finnish First Division Another season without too much stress. Youth players are developing slow but steady and we can let go of some of the older players now. We got to the promotion group but are still a ways off mounting a serious challenge. Squad Uusitalo had a decent season in goal, however I'm a bit concerned about his lack of development. Sjöberg is doing great, a very solid season for a 16 year old. He might well be one of our more talented players. Hugo Halonen is one of the OG players, was young when the save started and is very reliable. Can't see him losing his spot soon. Laitinen missed out on a good part of the season due to injury, but our star striker still managed top goalscorer. Also a small spotlight on Liimatainen. He's never been a starter but he always delivers when called upon. Transfers Loaning players seems to trump playing them in the U20s development-wise, so more went out this season. Syrjä and Kuittinen return for a spot in the first team. Youth intake Another decent batch of players. A bit too many Unambitious ones for my liking though. Patronen looks decent, I just hope he develops a bit as we have a lot of left wingers. Mäkelä is my pick for this season. Tall and strong, he could well get a starting spot in a season or two. Gustafsson has the same issue as Patronen. Looks good, Unambitious and in for a fight in his position. Eskelinen has some good allround defending attributes. Hope we can mentor that personality off him. I already love Heikkinen. A tower of a man with the pace and turning speed of a school bus on square wheels, just waiting to be developed.

WhiteCat33
4 hours ago, karax268 said: What does everyone do with training? I've made my own schedules but I hardly notice a difference between what the AI could do for me. Two major things i do: 1) check for if the AM has set "Endurance" training during high congestion windows and change it to something less intensive. Helps reduce some very frustrating injuries that can occur. 2) NACL has lots of Midweek game scheduling so i go in and make sure the training is adjusted for midweek games, which sometimes requires just reselecting the training set for the week to auto-fix the Rest / Match Practice days. I also handle all individual training, that's where I really target developing my players. At the end when you have maxed out facilities & coaches I'm sure there's ways to optimize squad training to develop players towards your playstyle, but I'm not that skilled at optimization. Maybe next game I'll dive into it.
