I haven't thought about Scotland in a while, but is it possible that relegation/promotion is determined by a playoff and the team that would have been promoted lost that playoff? 20 hours ago, FootieLu said: Hi, i am looking for some help, this is the first time i'm starting a challenge like this. i have chosen Scotland as my nation and holiday'd to May for the play off to begin and then again to reset day. there was no newly promoted team, does this happen sometimes and i just need to resim till there is one? thanks Its as @The_Gato_In_Goal said, there is a playoff between the bottom club and any potential promoted club and it look like that club lost. I think you need to save before the last game of the regular season and then go forward a few days and the playoff match will have appeared, replaying can change the team facing the bottom team. You may need to replay the playoff a few times until the team coming up wins

Popular Post Koetzer
Livorno | Season 2046/47 | Serie A A step back, but we actually performed better than last season, just didn’t have as much luck. And I never expected to qualify for Europe again anyway. Coppa Italia Certainly not the most important competition this season, and our backup players were swept away in first half. Europa League We played the whole group stage with a fully rotated squad but qualified quite easily, losing only to Liverpool. Sadly the playoff games didn’t go as well, we lost in Holland, came back at home but scored only once in shootout and went out. Squad stats B.Corsi *40a – our best player by ability proved it on the pitch, leading the team in goals, assists and average rating. There’s one downside though – he is unsettled and wanted by several bigger European and Arabian clubs, but with three more years under contract there is a chance to keep him. G.Sabba *30a – last spring our captain suffered a spine injury which could end his career at this age, but he returned and was one of our best players this season! C.Sardelli *38a and P.Tani *39g – good performance on the wings. D.Fabbrizzi *44i – was a useful rotation center-back, developed really well and likely will be a starter next season. A.Lonardo *44a – a backup central midfielder and our first player to be selected into the NXGN top 50 list! Transfers – defenders Stabile and Leporatti both played around 200 games for the first team, mostly thanks to a lack of better options though. Youth intake (preview) Alagna *47a | El Hadaoui *47b | Roventini *47c | Previtali *47d | Fanciulli *47e I will retrain Alagna as a left-back, hopefully his personality will be changed through mentoring. And this lack of good personalities forced me to take a risk – I moved Roy Bakkenes, our HOYD since 2029, to an assistant manager position (he’s a world class coach, but seems to have low ambition) and hired Rafael Luis, a model citizen with a 4-3-3 favourite formation and some potential to improve. We are the most reputable team with 3,5* in Italy now, and for the first time got this choice of a training camp (I chose Croatia, not sure if moving to other continents would benefit us much).

Popular Post XaW
XaW - Kettering Town - Seaso n 2024/25 (Season 1) - Vanarama National League North Squad | Transfers | Finances Our first season was a good one, but we fell a bit short at the end. We lost a few players as the season started, so we really only had 12 players for the most of the season, not exactly a great situation, but we avoided a lot of injuries, so I only had to field greys a few times to actually start matches. As I've said before, I only use greys when forced and here I was since I weren't allowed to start a match with 10 players for some reason! Using the players at hand we did very well though. We found we could beat just about anyone, but we could also struggle quite a bit, especially in fixture congestions. In the end though, we finished in a very strong 5th plays and thus went into the playoff spots. There we beat Tamworth in the first round before we lost to Chester in the semi final to end our hope of a magic season. So we are here for another season at least, however this time I will have a full bench at least. FA Cup: We beat Lowestofts Town and Southport before we lost to Oldham in the 4th qualifying round. FA Trophy: We beat Lancaster and Buxton before we lost to Dorking in the 4th round. Best players from the academy: Even Torvund 25d - A promising season from our youngster, but he has a long way to go. Stephen Hillier 25c - He is one of the most exciting players at the club, and being both big and fast he is the type of player I really like. Ronald Maswanhise 25a - Works well in all the defensive spots, so very happy with how he looks for us. Neo_Geo
Ok, so I have to say that @naterr completing India made me want to go where I had never gone before in FM, I don't feel like England was overwhelming (fixture wise) but it does feel too familiar and there are lots of others attempting England and sometimes its nice to be different I'm going to spin up another save with the aid of a league pack from Timo, if it feels good I'll post on it otherwise its back to Macclesfield. EDIT: I'm also recalling how much I enjoyed my save with Santa Venera Lightnings in Malta and also the save I did with Leal Aracibo in Puerto Rico Edited July 27 by Neo_Geo
Winski
It’s weird maybe, but I lost the motivation to continue my save with Raca Bratislava. It suddenly came, and now I want something else. Popular Post dkouv
Poole Town – Season 9 (2032/33) Vanarama National. We did it! I decided to play more youngsters this season and we started slowly, but as they developed our form picked up and a great end-of-season run eventually sealed promotion. Cups Our best cup run to date, we got to fifth round of the FA cup where we lost away to Man Utd. Players Danilo Russo 04a (AMR/ST) has been the star, rated as leading League 1 player, valued at £2.6m, and scoring 37 goals in 37 appearances. But a large part of the success was due to the emergence of several youngsters which added depth, especially in defence - having a decent goalkeeper in Charlie Blair 04c, and a full back who can cross in Michael Evans 07d really helped. Youth intake (preview): I hired a model citizen under-18s manager and put him in charge of the intake. The intake was a bit disappointing with not-great personalities and middle-of-the-road PA; I was hoping for more given our recent recruitment & coaching upgrades. Facilities The Man U cup tie gave us a big boost, and I quickly spent the money to upgrade youth facilities and max out coaching and recruitment. We'll be leaking money like crazy now that we've gone pro and maxed these out, but given my past experience this still seems to be the best way to progress in this challenge. EDIT: and a stadium expansion too, definitely no money for anything for a while from now on! Popular Post libbyshuss
Austria - 2045/46 - Premier League Small Tactical Tweak Leads to Wels Winning League At a Canter! So after winning the league alst season I decided a tactical tweak was needed. I didn't do much, just moved my wingers up to so my 4231 became an attacking 433. It worked far better than I could have imagined leading to some crazy high scoring games. Fourth game of the season we went to RB Salzburg and won 6-3. It was great! We won the league with 3 games of the championship stage left. Lovely stuff! Champions League: We had a good run, getting through the league stage for the first time. The knock out stage was against Spurs and after winning the first leg 3-1 we were 1-0 up at half time in the second. But 3 second half goals from Spurs sent it to extra time where they won it. Bah... Players Here's the all conquering crazy attacking tactic we used. Played to the strengths of our front players And our two star players Youth So another mediocre looking preview and intake, despite assurances it was a potential 'golden generation'. Really? All a little bit disappointing for a club with apparently the fourth best youth set up in the world! But with any luck that will change next season. As a reward for winning the league i was given the opportunity to ask for youth facility improvements...... and:- Career
Popular Post Neo_Geo
I had been planning on a Latvia or Malta save however it dawned on me that the reason I get bored is because I'm always doing the challenge in Europe. I've climbed the ladder many times in England so just the fact its a youth only challenge doesn't make it that new as I'm playing the teams I know well and if I got to the top division and into Europe its the same teams that I'd be facing. Going to a country like Latvia whilst new at first would end up leading to the same point as doing the challenge in Northern Ireland, Wales, Finland, Denmark etc. etc. it would still be the same 3 continental competitions with the same sort of teams each time. I want an adventure to remember more than anything. That led me to the conclusion that I needed: A club I don't know A country I am not familiar with A continental competition I am not familiar with The country has to be unfavoured as far as the continental competition is concerned Bonus for a club with a nice badge and colours so I can make a kick-ass kit For me it came down to two regions North America or Oceania. I've opted for North America, specifically Honduras with its 2 tier league structure where the second tier, Liga de Ascensio de Honduras, has 4 groups of 8 with the top 4 qualifying for the promotion play-offs and 1 relegation spot per group. To me this already means a much more interesting start to the save with a 50% chance of a play-off place, 37.5% chance of mid table and 12.5% chance of being relegated. I only ran the promoted teams simulation one time as I managed to find a team I was happy with straight away (I believe 29th of March for new teams - though I never confirmed by running again - then holiday to 24th June for the new season). Allow me to introduce my new team: An 8000 capacity stadium, professional status, 9 youth recruitment and 14 junior coaching as well as 5 training facilities and 7 youth facilities means this club has a lot of the foundation work already in place. The squad is fairly well rounded with a player in each position (apart from DM) so I've opted for a 4-2-4 Wide formation, looking to control possession and play down the flanks. The idea is to be balanced in my approach to see if I can get a slightly better performing defence than my other recent saves. Here are the kits a little closer up: I like them so much I'm just going to stick with these for the duration of the save (and the obvious Netflix series that is going to be created for this epic journey!) The country itself is ranked 78th in the world and has a youth rating of (see below) so it will give me plenty to work towards and looking to win the North American Champions Cup will be a challenge to overthrow the Mexican and MLS sides. Spoiler Youth Rating - 68 Note that this is a custom database by Timo (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3106020337&searchtext=%40Timo%40) Here is the manager profile: Spoiler I'm already feeling very excited by this challenge, I just hope that the database pack doesn't have a bug like I had with my Puerto Rico save before.

The_Gato_In_Goal
@Neo_Geo NA is very fun! I've wanted to go play some Central American countries since I've only ever tried the islands. We had a nice run to the quarter finals in swedish cup. We are also steadyily rising in bookmakers ratings. We were now predicted to finish 14th. Spoiler League League season started decently. After a few round we found nice form and stood brilliantly on 3rd position with 6 round to go. Then we collapsed and only took 1 wictory and 4 points from our last 6 mathces and dropped to 5th position. It's still the best finish ever by a big margin ( 10th was tge earlier best finish) and might give us continental football next autumn (if some of those 4 above us wins the cup). summer transfer window meant some sales. I wanted to get rid of Viktor Niklasson 36A and Rasmus Ohlander 35C. They didn't play much and both had bad personalities. FC Porto also came in with a big offer for Jörgen Sundberg 44A. Popular Post Scraborn
Hello fellow Managers Sadly a few days ago I decided to come back to my (realy mediocre) save with Macclesfield FC only to realise my File is corrupted. But I was only five seasons in and nothing special has happened. So I restarted and took Maccelsfield again. In season one we ended up 3rd only to lose the Playoff Final. The year after we ended up as 4th with a loss in the Semifinal. After a bad Season 3 we won the whole thing on Goaldifference. Some of my prospects are already the stars of my team. Welcome to Macclesfield. At least we were able to expand Juniorcoaching and Recruitment. Right now we play in a pretty basic 4-4-2 but with a attacking Mezzala to give us more numbers in the box. This is Mario. He is my most used Youthplayer so far. Had him 2026 as part of my Elitetalents in my Intake and promote this promissing Right Winger in my first team. Since then he developed fast and claimed his spot in he starting lineup early in the Season 26/27. He is now our top assister. One year later Sir Henri joined us and became our best defender just in one season. I hope to keep him around for some time. Competent in the back and a threat in the air. Sam Davin was like Henri one of the Elitetalents of 2027. During the Season he became our Mascot and played more and more as a substitute. In the Final game he scorred twice wich gave us the title in the end. In this years youth intake we found the giant. A towering striker with good speed and techniques. Most of the season I missed a good reliable striker and the best striker in the club is out for some time because of his torn ACL. So I hope he can lead our lines in near future. Here we have Mr ACL. He was of to a promissing start in his first Season as a starter in senior football when desaster struck. Good for him that we dont face Telford next season. Popular Post XaW
With some questions about Kettering and promotion, I've decided to do something I've been thinking of earlier, but never really went for. So I've holidayed quite a bit, and finally it happened. I'm heading to Czechia, but not to any random team. I'm going to Vitkovice! This team is a phoenix team after the previous incarnation went bankrupt in 2011. But "hang on", I hear some of you freaks who knows way too much about Czechian lower leagues say, "that team isn't in the 3rd tier of Czech football, they are in the 4th! Are you using custom files?". And to that I say, no, I'm not using any custom files. I've just holidayed a lot, and I'm one season further in that normal because I holidayed and hoped the team would get promoted two times behind the wall of non-loaded leagues. And in the end they did! Guess you didn't know that, and I weren't 100% either, but here we are! Also, the little knight on the badge is just the thing to tip me into loving it!
XaW
Also, the club has 3 players on loan I can't terminate. They will go into the youth team and not play until the loan finishes or I can terminate it somehow. Also also, why do I have 10 goalkeepers in my 2 squads!
Neo_Geo
Good luck with Vitkovice @XaW I had a decent run with them but everything collapsed when too many players were sold. The badge and strip lured me in with them too
Neo_Geo
Welcome @OTron No staff and 11 players seems about right it’s why the first year is so crucial to just survive to the intake because whilst it might not be a great intake it gives you the glorious ability to rotate! best of luck in Wales

Let's hope I can control my own sales this time!

Popular Post OTron
Holyhead Hotspur Season Update 2024/2025 Despite starting with 11 players and having 3 of those players leave us on free transfers throughout the season we still somehow managed to win the league and were promoted to the Welsh top flight. During the season I managed to get my first 2 coaching badges and survive a club takeover that yielded zero new investment I am guessing this was a weak league as it seemed way too easy to win the division with a thin squad. Spoiler Youth Candidates We got our youth intake in March which meant we were able to play some of the players in the last 4 games of the season which helped us snap a 5 game losing streak. The intake was a fairly good one overall with some of the players immediately slotting into the first 11 and many of them into the first team squad. Spoiler Spoiler Transfers Spoiler Squad Here's the squad as it stands at the end of the season Spoiler League Table League Champions with a grand total of 3.1k pounds per week to spend on wages in the Welsh top flight Spoiler Edited July 29 by OTron

Hopefully they back you up with the required facility improvements if they want you playing that way!
Popular Post The7Striker
Club Deportivo José Gálvez 2024 Season Finances Facilities Transfers Transfers I Squad Liga 2 Regular Season Group Stage Playoffs Welcome to the South American leagues, more precisely to Peru. It was a fantastic season that culminated in our promotion to Liga 1. The rules dictate 16 games in the regular phase (we play each team in the group once), after which the 1st to 9th-placed teams move on to a new group phase with 10 more games (we play twice). The top 3 from each group advance to a playoff reminiscent of the cups, where the finalists go up to the 1st league. We had a great regular season, finishing in second place and securing a place in the next round. That's where we were happiest, finishing 1st in our group. With that place, we progressed to the semi-final where we beat Juan Aurich 4-3 (on aggregate), and in the final, we won the long-awaited penalty shoot-out, thus securing promotion and the league 2 title. We had a transfer already made by AI in CB, it will be handy, since we don't have much depth in the area. There is no upgrades, since our finances are in the red and the board doesn't seem very likely to accept it. Under 19 - They didn't take part in any league. Youth Intake Although our HOYD and preview were promising, the intake wasn't so much, we'll see how Navarro develops, being the most promising talent.
