  1. Well unless you're talking about the 3D graphics engine, it's all spreadsheet data effectively, so it really doesn't matter does it?
  2. I've tried 3 saves in the MLS over the years, abandened them all after a few seasons....same as what you posted (utterly ridiculous fixtures), salaray cap just doesn't keep up (long-standing issue), games not being rescheduled due to international call ups etc...the list goes on, so utterly broken. Anyone who buys the game for the MLS specifically, certainly deserves better.
  3. Surely that would make them awful scouts too. So it either matters, or it doesn't... "James..I need this kid scouting in the Icelandic 15th tier...wrap up warm...will be cold". *James, sat at home in front of the fire with his pipe and slippers*.. "Sure thing boss....headin' out the door right now..." *james puts the phone down*...meh....I'll go later....or tomorrow...I could just say I went and he was rubbuish...not like the boss would know....time for a nap...."man I love being a scout instead of a coach."
  4. Can't agree with this more. DaveIncid's files are a must imo. For other leagues, DaveTheEditor's files are the best and most complete/tested around. I keep teling peopoe, there's a very good reason some come out a week after the beta and his take 4 months. However, many don't want to wait that long, expecially the Tubers who are wanting to make money off the new game (don't include you in that btw...you know the peeps I refer to). I also caved and got this years pretty quickly, though in fairness I hadn't bought the game since '18 myself, I was expecting...well, not to be met with the same issues we had 10 years ago so was a little disappointed, however, that being said, I have zero intention of buying the game aagain anytime soon so happy to wait for game/ME fixes and Daves files to be complete as this version will last me until they either introduce the women's game (which I'm hoping will be a completely new, ground up built match engine and graphics engine) or they finally fix all the stuff we've been moaning about and has been broken for years. So far I'm happy with this years version overall, but also very glad I didn't waste money on the recent versions too, I feel there's enough of a 'new game' to stick with it and get my money's worth out of it.
  5. I'm guess myself and the other poster are saying this based on historically there is never a ME update after the March update. I agree with you however there could be, historically it's very unlikely, whatever issues the game has now are unlikely to be resolved.
  6. Final update will just be latest transfers from windows that have closed.
  7. Maybe because I was replying to the person who brought him up.... *shrugs*
  8. Makes 'playing the game' quciker as it skips all the nonsense interviews and having to watch the game. Not always accurate though
  9. Right, well yeah I can't argue with any of that, it is spiralling out of control. Good time then to play Fm in sone far flung corner of the world, maybe have a Caribbean adventure with the database on here, spend some time in the Asian leagues, lot of fun to be had in leagues/countries/regions not as well known or barely even professional standard. One of my fave places is Mexico, love playing there on FM.
  10. I think some people on here are just plain delusional...and think their team must perform like Barcelona or Bayern week in/week out. 70% save percentage is actually world class, one of the best of the best. Oliver Khans 'worst season' at Bayern ('00/'01) he averaged 70.5%. His best season was an 83.1 the year after. His general average was approx 75% in his Bayern days. Bare in mind, the defence also greatly contribures to a keepers percentage numbers. If your distinctly average keeper is even getting close to a top, world class, real goalkeepers numbers, I wouldn't complain about it.
  11. Will reply to your other thread. Mods please close this.
  12. You really shouldn;t ressurect long dead threads. That aside, there already is one floating around here for this years or last years, do a search.
  13. DaveTheEditor's files are the best around for extra leagues/countries (- ALL others, especially Timo's have massive issues). Robbles Japan database and take your pick of flavour on England databases. I also have a save with the excellent Caribbean database files found here (waiting for Daves v3 to compare). TMC's Murati Vase and Arabian Gulf databases, ATCH/ETCH/ITCH and Robs history files (found on this forum), along with various misc files like stadium updates, country specific updates like Basque and various staff/referee files along of course, with the obligatory file that shall not be named around here.
  14. Works just fine on '23. He not released a specific '23 one yet to my knowledge.
  15. I'm really not sure what politics in football has to do with European football....sure it's bad, yes Linneker is a complete **** I'll agree but how exactly do you mean? You think South American football isn't just as, if not more corrupt than in Europe? I'm really not connecting the dots between the two, maybe I'm being a bit dim tonight, I dunno.
  16. I've been saying this since about 2016. However, their business, business model and game. That being said, this kind of business model is slowly falling apart as any similar model with a yearly release will prove sales are drastically falling from what they were years ago. Maybe FM is slightly more advantagous in that it's really the only football management game with any depth around, kinda corned the market but the rumblings are here, on other forums and one look at the industry regarding this model will show that despite FM's recent rise in sales, it won't last if they keep producing what is essentially, in all but name and a few different ways of doing things, the same game they released years ago. The fact that even today, in 2023, it still takes them 4 months to get a reasonably fleshed out working game, every...year...for a game that has a 12 month life cycle (with then no option to be able to buy older versions)...for a game that is essentuially the exact same one as it was before, does make one wonder at times exactly what they do all year.... I don't think they can afford to take a year off without income and actually do everything the game needs, fix what needs fixing, include what needs including and flesh out what has been stale for over 10 years and just release a transfer update for say £15. So it is what it is, so euither put up with it or do what I have, this first time I've bought it in 5 years (and actually still quite stunned at the general state it's in compared to then and how little has actually changed).
  17. Also very good to actually see how your tactic works.
  18. Umm....good for you..... Care to tell us why?
  19. A highly analyticaly based training schedule from Evidence Based Football Manager.
  20. That's your expert fix for an actual known issue acknowledged by Si themselves which they can't seem to fix? Gotya... Si...sign him up!
