  1. Are you running just one of the three files (7 team, 8 team, OR 12 team)? Not multiples? What leagues are you running? Can you post a screenshot of the history? Has anyone else see this happen?
  2. Would be nice instead of specifying particular officials for competitions, if we could use a dropdown like "use officials from..." with options like domestic, foreign, same region as teams, same continent as competition, global, etc. Could account for regional tournaments using local refs, and some random tournaments using international refs instead of locals
  3. In the 12-team version? The history is updating fine for me in all versions: Are you running any other files that touch the Club World Cup?
  4. You can specify fixtures and groups so all that is possible. If there's a hard rule that each group is the same teams every season, it will actually be easier. MLS' default rules have lots of weirdness with fixtures and group seeding, might be worth taking a look at them and trying to see what the different editor rules mean
  5. Adjusted? Both are quite detailed and played every December starting in 2023, just the amount of teams is the difference EDIT: simming some more, and this is why you need to account for every possibility with backups... Man Utd qualifying as Europa League winner (as intended): This came from Bayern Munich taking the host spot, and Real Madrid taking the spot as defending champion. The European spot would go to the Champions League winner first, with the runner-up as backup, but Bayern and Real were those teams this year. I had added an entry for the Europa League winner as a last resort backup, thinking it would almost never be used... always plan for the worst!
  6. Yeah, there should be a flag for offset dates, "use for teams in Europe the week prior" and "use for teams in Europe the week following" or something like that. I remember Mourinho talking about how the Portuguese league would move their games around like that to accommodate Porto's run in 2004.
  7. This will be a log of my attempts to collect trophies in Africa and Asia, but anyone else is encouraged to join and keep us updated. The goal - build your reputation as a globetrotting international manager, taking minnows as far as you can. Suggested files: My international files centred on: COSAFA Cup Baltic Cup Islamic Games Arab Cup At a minimum, load all international players from all of the regions or continents you want to manage in. Optional: Island Games (the Island Games uses lots of extinct nationalities and is incompatible with my Qatar, San Marino, and Catalunya/Spain files) My TMC megapack of leagues and international comps Hervé Renard 1 COSAFA Cup (2012), 1 AFCON (2013) 225 points Challenge Points: Multiply by years between tournaments - i.e. multiply by 4 for a tournament every 4 years, by 2 for a tournament every 2 years, etc. Claude Le Roy 1 AFCON (1988), 1 Gulf Cup (2009) 270 points Starting out: Anyone starting unemployed and working their way through a U-19 job first will get a badge of honour. If you want to get straight into international management, though, it's understandable - in that case, I would encourage you to start low, i.e. outside of the top 50 in the FIFA rankings so you get some variation in the subregional tournaments you'll play in. Saudi Arabia might be pushing that criteria a bit but they have a lot going on with the Gulf Cup, Arab Cup, WAFF U-23, and more. Most of the Indian Ocean Island Games teams have regional competitions too. The more of a journeyman you are, the better. Bruno Metsu 1 Gulf Cup (2007) 90 points Would love to hear how anyone is getting on, keep us updated with your first international job, first trophy, first language learned, and first sacking if you take this on. I'll post it here. Also open to feedback on the scoring system, we can tweak it to make it simpler or more fair, and let me know if I've missed any international tournaments we need to create. Alberto Zaccheroni 1 Asian Cup (2011), 1 EAFF E-1 Championship (2013) 450 points
  8. Padded out the Baltic Cup file with some missing international tournaments: ABCS Tournament Central American and Caribbean Games South American Games Southeast Asian Games AFF U-19 Championship South Asian Games SAFF U-19 Championship CAFA U-19 Championship Trying to activate all of the international tournaments that aren't just friendly cups, and are still being played at U-19 level or above. If you spot anything missing between these and my Arab Cup and Islamic Games files let me know and we can put it in. I'll wait until the final official update before cleaning up stuff like the Gold Cup and the WAFF Championship
  9. Baltic Cup (backup link) https://news.err.ee/1608683296/estonian-men-s-football-team-looking-to-finish-year-by-retaining-baltic-cup Includes U-21 and U-19 Baltic Cups
  10. Here's a 12-team version (updated for 23.3 March update) @ts9227976. I've tried to keep it under 2 weeks. Every continent sends at least two teams, except Oceania who send one (sorry OFC), with another spot for the host team. Generally its Champions League winner and Super Cup winner (or CL runner-up). North America's spots are taken by their Champions League winner and Leagues Cup winner, because I feel like they're gonna do something like that IRL. Marinos were seeded in group A as hosts. The other top seeds were the Copa Libertadores winner, UEFA Champions League winner, and UEFA Super Cup winner (or UCL runner-up).
  11. It's possible. The issue is that the fixture calendar will become even more crowded. A 12-team tournament needs 5 matchdays (jornadas). 3 group matchdays, then 2 knockout games (semis and final). My 8-team tournament needs 4 matchdays (for example, December 10, 13, 16, and 20). This is comprised of 3 group matchdays, then 1 knockout (straight to final and third place, like in 2000). We can't start any earlier, because the Brazilian league season finishes 3 days before this tournament kicks off. We can finish later, close to Christmas, but teams like Liverpool, Real Madrid, PSG etc will have even more crowded calendars. More league and cup games will be delayed, the whole calendar will be thrown off. But if that's fine, I can eventually make a fantasy 12-team version like they planned in 2001.
  12. 32 teams, but you've listed 12 qualifiers, and described a tournament with 24 teams? I can do a custom version. But in general the European calendar won't like fitting in a fifth matchday, the four now (used to be two in the 7-team format, or up to four if they host) is already pushing it
  13. It can be a pain to get finances right in non-default leagues, if you make everyone amateur at least clubs will be saving on wages
  14. Thanks for checking in!! If you change their continent to "Europe" they'll play in the Euro U21s, but adding them to the other tournaments like World Cup qualifying, UEFA Nations League, etc, is a lot more difficult. You'd have to put Kazakhstan into Asia or something to make room. There are guides on here... Sounds like you want them to operate like "nations" like Martinique that can call up players as long as they aren't cap-tied to France yet (i.e., that Catalunya could call up locals uncapped by Spain). My Island Games file does similar with a bunch of new nations. But I'm hesitant to release a version where Catalunya in Europe, because I wanted it to operate exactly like the "Basque" nationality already in the game. What do you think? I can add kits for Catalunya either way. Also, San Marino is surrounded by Italy but is not Italian, and they don't have dual nationality... San Marino doesn't even allow dual nationality!
  15. It's the same file as the 8-team version. The hosts are random, same as before. So, it randomly chose Brazil, and they had their league winner as hosts + the South American champion, who also happened to be Brazilian (same as 2000). Keep playing and you'll see lots of different hosts.
  16. You'll love this. Had one randomly hosted in Brazil and it looks a lot like the 2000 tournament: By chance, São Paulo played all their games at home, and Flamengo mostly played at the Maracanã. If you load the Brazilian league, they finish the Brasileirão just days before the tournament kicks off, it's a great way to end the season. Also fun to see hosts in Italy, Germany, Turkey, etc. Seems to be a wide list of potential hosts.
  17. Actually forget that. I've now got it so Group A is mostly played at one stadium, and group B at another. The hosting can be interesting, in either version you're just as likely to see a country like France or Netherlands, leading to a tournament with multiple powerhouses, as frequently as Egypt or India, who send their league champion like any other host. Also considering moving it to a different part of the calendar if people prefer. Late December/early January would line up with European winter breaks, while June was planned for 2025 (and might be reflected with some default league scheduling?). August was planned for 2001 way-back-when and would work in preseason if we can squeeze it around the various Super Cups and make it work for calendar-year leagues like MLS, Brazil etc. It looks like you'd have to squeeze it in under 2 weeks between the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup, so European preseason doesn't really work for an extended version either
  18. I guess the other issue is that the first season is so crowded already with the World Cup break, adding extra fixtures to the calendar could really push the squad rotation for smaller teams
  19. Updated the fixtures now that most of the matchdays have been scheduled. Like in real life, Al-Hilal have an insane schedule with the Lusail Super Cup and if you go deep in the Saudi Super Cup, Club World Cup etc. Could be fun to go against Ronaldo. Would still love to get that Al-Hilal/Al-Nassr combined XI vs. PSG from earlier this year so will have a go at the All-Star thing in the editor again at some point.
  20. I was playing around to try and and make it so the home nation team gets Group A played at their stadium. I also thought about the 2000 approach (eg. one group in Sao Paulo, one group in Rio). There's just no way to account for it properly. Like, what if Real Madrid played in group A at Camp Nou, and Barcelona played in group B at the Bernabeu? Lol, in real life they'd obviously plan it the other way. But I don't think we can account for that ahead of time in the game, unless someone knows how to manipulate those editor choices like "get competition neutral (exclude home)" for our purposes. So, instead both group A and group B use the top two stadiums. On the plus side, no more doubleheaders (two games at the same stadium in the same day). IMO it's amateurish and unbefitting of a "World Cup"
  21. Yeah, 100+ "officials", all 100 years old (so hopefully the game doesn't use them). All with Greenlandic nationality and other details mostly wiped Which extinct nation did you use to convert to Greenland?
  22. Here's some mirror links for 7 teams or 8 teams. The first edition (February 2023) is 7 teams either way.
  23. I've just posted one, the first one is like the 7-team version this February then it's the 2 groups of 4 teams from December 2023 onward
  24. This may be rendered moot by the next update, but for now it adds the 2022 format from earlier this month with 7 teams. Update: The official March update also added the February 2023 CWC, so I've cleaned that up, and like in the earlier version of this file, I've added the dates planned for next season in December 2023 as an annual tournament. The CWC keeps its somewhat random host rotation after the first edition in Morocco, so Saudi won't necessarily host in December 2023 as planned. I also made an alternate version using the 8-team format from the year 2000: In the 8-team version, the extra space is taken by the defending champion (or runner-up if they already qualified as host nation league winner). UPDATE: The 32-team version is the planned summer 2025 version, held every four years. Every other year, in December a 7-team version is still played. February 2023 is played like IRL, same with December 2023. I've kept the old versions up, including the one that just keeps the old 7-team format forever. 7-team CWC or 8-team CWC or 32-team CWC Bonus: TMC Megapack
