  1. Sounds like something in Dave's file is making Rabat II the home nation selection, did Rabat win the Moroccan league or did Wydad? It must have got confused somehow, or maybe he's got a reserve division set as a top division by accident. Unless anyone else has seen something like this?
  2. Are you running any other file like an African Super League or Morocco file? Out of curiosity, did FUS Rabat win the African Champions League? It should pull the African CL runner-up in that case (not their reserve team) but there might be some weird CWC hardcoding I need to figure out
  3. My mistake, I'm away from my laptop for a couple weeks but if you have the pre-game editor you just need to load the file, go to rules, and verify it then save it again
  4. SI will do that in the next patch. Last time I tried to edit the world cup I messed it up. Might try again in the Spring if they don't fix it
  5. Check that thread, hasn't moved (click "Lusail Super Cup" in the OP)
  6. Maybe right click the game in your Steam library and "verify local files" or whatever it is (keep in mind this re-adds fake.lnc and similar files if you've deleted them since the last patch). Other than that, I can't think of anything
  7. How's it coming along?? Based on these updates it's looking great!
  8. Since the 23.3 patch, when you edit a default competition - say, the SAFF tournament or the Club World Cup - it gets bumped down the list of competitions in the list that comes up when you click on the glove at the top right of the screen and click on "world", "nations, or any of the continents to see the list of competitions. Prior to the patch, it seemed to sort the usual way, by age range and then by reputation (or maybe it was unique ID), and wouldn't change the sorting when you edited competitions. Ultimately it's just aesthetic, but frustrating. Would be nice to keep them in their present order, especially keeping the World Cup and WCQ at the top.
  9. You may have also noticed that since the 23.3 patch, any changes to the CWC mean that when you click on the globe at the top right of your home screen and click on "world", it's no longer at the top of the list of "world" club competitions, but is below the U-20 Intercontinental and the French Youth Invitational. Other edited default competitions seem to be doing this too. It's immensely frustrating but ultimately meaningless, let me know if anyone knows a way around it (doesn't seem to sort by age range and then reputation as it used to)
  10. If you went here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2023 Editor, open the editor from there, and shift + right click the editor you can open it different ways, including as a different Windows user. Not as ideal but you could still shift between them. Not sure if that would require another Steam account
  11. It must go looking for the MLS teams with "based nation" and "continental cup nation" set to Canada and can't find them. Not sure you can fix it, maybe given them reserve teams in MLS with all the same info as they used to have. Or better yet, build a new club over top and give them all the staff and players. Make the old club (still in MLS) an affiliated team. Just change the name of the old club to "Vancouver (reserves)" or something
  12. I wonder if they were using registered teams for the first version, but then its just pulling "get best nations" from Africa (so you've just bumped the lowest ranked team down). I know this is way too late, but I wonder if just merging South Sudan back into Sudan and using their unique ID would save a lot of headaches
  13. It's random. Malaysia plus three invitees. First year is the rumoured teams for 2023, then its more teams outside the top 90 or 100 world rankings (selected from different regions like the Caribbean, Central Asia, etc). King's Cup follows a similar format. Should be realistic
  14. This one fixes the SAFF tournament (already in the game). Removes Afghanistan as they're in CAFA now. Also moves the 2023 tournament up a couple of weeks to the correct date, and sets India as host (as planned). Sri Lanka are suspended so they don't play this year. SI haven't moved the Asian Cup to January 2024 yet (just announced) - likely too many knock-on effects on other tournaments to deal with - so they got around the clash by having India miss the SAFF Cup. This doesn't work here as they're hosting, so I've sent the 'B' team to SAFF instead.
  15. Right host, wrong dates. First edition is summer 2023, should be Jan 2024. https://www.sportingnews.com/in/soccer/news/afc-asian-cup-dates-host-country-teams-qualified-2023-tournament/tn566ckqswpgvbnkrbovwhwc
  16. Also, SAFF should be moved up one week (starts one week too late in the game) and won't include Sri Lanka for 2023. The first AFC Asian Cup is, obviously, still in the wrong date (summer 2023 instead of Jan 2024)
  17. Main stage name should work with quarter, semi, etc. I'm pretty sure "sub stage name" would be if you had, like Champions League - League Path (main stage name), First Round (sub stage name). Very few competitions actually end up using sub-stage names anywhere
  18. Yep, random hosts from a predefined list is an option
  19. People get excited at the winter transfers and want to play with their shiny new big signing, I get it. There used to be "all transfers set as future transfers" type mods but the work required is just too much. It might be an interesting option but I'm not convinced the AI quite knows what's going on when you do that (i.e. signing players to fill a positional need without realizing a future transfer is 5 days away)
  20. Afghanistan looks to still be in the SAFF tournament, but should be out (they moved over to CAFA a while back)
  21. Added to the Baltic Cup file: Merdeka (friendly comp) King's Cup (friendly comp) Like the Baltic Cup, these are set as "friendly comps" except they add histories. Both were recently restarted, I'm not sure either will be truly annual so I've made them biannual for now, easier to fit in the calendar for all the possible invitees anyway.
