Could be something to do with affiliations or staff responsibilities (someone else setting friendlies)? Or I've found if you agree to a friendly with an affiliated team in a Board meeting or something then you can't cancel it either. Can anyone point me to a logo pack for level 10? Sorry if that's against forum rules...

Now that the final update is out, it's a good idea. Not sure I have the energy to open up both editors and cross-reference every change that's needed tbh (did that last year with an FM18 database so it was fresh for FM22). Have you tried loading the old one in FM23? It might work, just that some guys might have the same nationality show up twice under second nationality

Starting up a Jersey save, here's a "custom setup" that should load most of the dual nationals for the created countries (place in \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023\db setups): Download Load it when you start the game and are selecting which players to load from specific countries/regions. You can scale it down from there, you may not want everyone from England, Scotland etc. (although they pad out the available players for the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Wight, Shetland, etc) Still looking for a solid Scottish level 6 database if anyone's found a good one on the Workshop or anything.

They play in my Baltic Cup, then later editions have Iceland and Faroe Islands invited in alternate editions as well. Here and more info here

COSAFA Cup file updated with the biannual U20 cups for the remaining African subconfederations, UNAF, UNIFFAC, and WAFU Zone A and B, starting in 2022. The dates for Zone B are moved from the May window to December (like the second-last version) to avoid clashes. These don't double as AFCON U20 qualifying like IRL, but are played anyway. In the game, AFCON U20 qualifying is still played in an older 2-legged format on top of these, likely too much work to edit. I think this also means every subconfederation in Africa and Asia is now represented with at least one competition.

You can take the club Kordrengir (has a long Icelandic name), make them un-extinct, and put them back in the "Icelandic First Division" and then whatever weirdness it's doing in the background will count the right number of teams and verify. This might need another fix if/when SI fix it themselves.

First one sounds odd, maybe something to do with the dates. If you post your file someone can probably look at it. National team will be harder, you have to mess with the rules for the various competitions, easier to remove Kazakhstan or something (check some of the databases here like the Isle of Man one)

I appreciate the response, but If UEFA qualifiers didn't actually work but the game just took stronger ranked teams, people wouldn't see it as a pleasant workaround, they'd riot. This is game-breaking for international management in CONCACAF outside of the top teams who automatically qualify. Could we not just change the "setup date" for the Gold Cup to right after the playoffs?

Probably. Under "history" either on the competition itself or the rules, can't remember which combination of settings I tried. I think the different date format there would be even more jarring though

That's because there actually are two editions played this year, February and December. The "first" one is technically the delayed 2022 edition, they just played it in February with the 2022 branding. I tried to get that to show in-game but it's technically wrong anyway, 2023 is more accurate for both.

Gamebreaking Gold Cup qualifying bug is still present, isn't it? That one was raised multiple times by multiple people in the bugs forum after each previous update, and the developers indicated it was being looked at. Isn't that just changing the setup date for the Gold Cup?

New update looks like it didn't change anything, i.e. February 2023 then straight to 2025 (no December 2023 or 2024 editions in Saudi as planned by FIFA). My files add those versions but with whatever semi-random hosting rotation the game throws up.

Some quick checks on the final (?) official update without any of my files, doesn't look like they touched any international stuff. Gold Cup playoff qualifying still broken despite being raised with each update, I might be tempted to try and fix this, along with stadium selection for CONCACAF tournaments. Asian Cup still hasn't been moved to January next year, can hardly blame them as this is a one-off and would require adjusting everything else. Likely won't touch it for the same reason. WAFF still happening in the summer with 9 teams who played in an older edition, no rapprochement with Qatar like IRL. My WAFF file just cancels it to recognize the indefinite postponement (plenty going on with Gulf Cup, Arab Cup etc).

Updating everything for 23.4 and finally collecting it in one place. I can't think of any other big projects to take on, especially with the weather changing, but if anyone has interesting ideas or requests I'd consider it. Updated the 7- and 8-team versions by verifying them on the new 23.4 database, haven't had time to test it though, let me know if it throws up any weirdness.

Now verified for 23.4. Considering a similar mechanism to make a Quebecois-only club in the Canadian PL (or maybe the PLSQ), like Athletic Bilbao. Would be fun.

You can thank SI for that, another update that fixes one thing and breaks three others. From a quick look around here you might have to make the club Knattspyrnufélagið Kórdrengir un-extinct and put them back in the Icelandic second division for it to verify. I'll see if there's an easier way so I don't have to do that in each of my files

Oh yeah there's a new update. I'll re-verify everything this weekend, in the meantime if you open it in the pre-game editor and verify it under "rules" you'll be set

You should be able to set it up with fate actions/qualifying, and then "get qualified teams" in the new competition

Who won the reserve league there? I don't have time to look at his stuff now but I wonder if he needs to uncheck a box or something for the reserves so they're not treated as the top level
