readingr
Truro Mid-Season 2 Update Forgot to write a Season 1 review.... Season 1 was tough - only a starting 11 and 3 subs until the youth prospects came through, and all the key players were unhappy with lack of depth (and still are). Ultimately, we finished 15th after a great start to the season. A few youth prospects look decent, Y24 A/B/C/D/J are in my first team already. I knew this challenge would be hard, but I underestimated how tricky it is not to be able to plug any gaps with random free transfers! December Season 2 We are sitting 8th in the league (I think we'll end up back around 15th again), and still struggling with lack of depth. I have some optimism though for next season, sneak preview looks.... incredible. Let's hope it comes to fruition in March. Many of my key players contracts expire at the end of this season, and some I don't think i'll be able to keep. We're also losing 20k a month, so we're negative 350k in December... hopefully the chairman will bail us out...
Popular Post DrJones
Grosseto 2027/28 Promotion to serie B! Finally! I think this must be at least my twelfth try with this challenge in Italy and I have never managed to get promoted from serie C. To be honest the conditions from the start of the season were great. The two best teams in our league got promoted last season and all of the relegated sides from serie B were teams from southern Italy which meant that all of the new teams in our league came from serie D. It was a two horse race from the start between us and SPAL but we managed to keep them behind us all season long. Squad Only one OG left in the starting XI next season and that is our goalkeeper. In the next two or three years we really need a good goalie in one of the youth intakes. Key players Youth Intake I really like the look of this guy, he will be our starting right-back next year. Popular Post libbyshuss
Season Summary Our first season in Europe was great fun! We qualified easily for the league stage, won 5 out of 6 in the league (including away at Celtic!) to qualify for the last 16. We drew Celtic, went away in the first leg and somehow contrived to lose 7-3. We won the second leg easily but at only 3-1 we crashed out. Really disappointing in the end! Our league form suffered though. We made a poor start and never really recovered, spending the whole season bumbing around mid-table. As soon as we'd get within touching distance of Europe we'd end up losing the next 4 on the spin or something. Frustrating in the end Players So here is where it gets weird. At the end of the season my Assman/HoYD decided to completely re-eavaluate the squad. Previously decent Serie A talents are now good serie B talents and my 20 or so 4 star youth prospects dropped to only 2 4 star youth prospects. I've never known anything like it, they decimated my squad! in terms of their ratings anyway. But looking at the transfer values of them I can't really argue with their conclusions. 20 seasons in and my top talent is worth 11m. it's worrying to be honest.... It might be partly explained by the emergence of my new best player Lorenzo Lippi 40K You can see how little i rated him on original intake, given the letter K. But it's not surprising really. Here he is a couple of months after intake day:- Rubbish right? But I always sign up youth prospects if they have decent personalities and he had a nice one. Last season I had way too many youth players so sent all the ones with the lowest potential out on loan. Lippi 40K went to Serie C and played really well, coming back with a new super 4 star potential! so I decided this season to play him in the conference league, see how he did. He did well! 11 goals in 12! By January he'd replaced my old golden boy Fabio Frau 38C as our first choice striker and was brilliant (Frau 38C is now rated as serie B standard and valued at 4m btw. what the heck is going on?) By the end of the season Lippi looked like this:- and he won this! and was top of the nxgn wonderkid list too Petrovic at 46 was rated as a 4 star potential at the time! now? 2.5 star potential. what the heck!!!!!! Youth So another fantastic intake! although by the end of the season they had all again been completely decimated Career I need some top quality players pretty soon if I'm going to get anywhere. But for some reason they're just not coming.
readingr
Truro Season 2 Round-up Summary A weird season - we struggled a bit initially lucking a few results before changing formation to 4-2-3-1, and this helped improve our fortunes. We stayed 12-14th until the new youth prospects came through. They made a huge difference - we went on a 9 match winning streak, and made a late large charge up the table ending 8th... an agonising 2 points off of the playoff spots. Youth Prospects Y25 C/E/B look like great prospects, and I'm excited by P & J too, despite their ratings. Richard Byrne in 4 appearances has 2 goals and 2 assists... which is more than Alex Bray in his 40 games this season. Financial Situation Our chairperson injected £210k to help with the running costs, so we're 'only' £350k in debt. He's also proceeded to halve our wage budget, and has put a club vision objective to repair the club's financial damage by the end of 2026/7. I've had to lose a few of my experienced members of the team due to their high wages, but most have taken a significant pay cut. Facilities
The_Gato_In_Goal
Brønshøj BK - Youth Intake Season 8 No absolute stars like last year, but this looks to be a real solid all around intake. The facilitiy upgrades are showing in the depth of talent we produce. The only issue is poor personalities and us being a semi-pro club that can hamper their development. None of these guys can step into the firs team right away, but will hopefully have roles in the future. Joakim Søndergaard 08a is going to be retrained on the left as an IW(S), since we don't play with attacking midfielders through the center. He looks quite talented, there's just no way of knowing whether he has the hidden attributes to develop, nor the PA itself. Marc Eg 08b on the other hand needs more time to develop, but looks to have a good personality. Would have been nice to have more height given our lone strikers is asked a lot of in the air, but he's not short and he is quick to boot, so looks promising. Will retrain Kenneth Ejsing 08c to play that regista role, since he doesn't have the physical attributes to play as a CM(A) or on the wing in our system. I wish the vision attribute was higher than 7, but he can do a job as a playmaker.

JLAB
Motor Lublin - Season 7 - European Deciders Heading into the last 2 games of the Europa League's league phase, we had to get results against either Fiorentina or NEC, both teams that I know we might struggle against this season. Unfortunately for us, we lost both games 3-1, meaning that we had lost our last 5 Europa League games in a row. It also meant that we found ourselves getting eliminated from the league phase of the Europa League, despite our incredible start. Hopefully next season, we'll be doing much better off. Daddy
I've never managed in Spain before so I wanted to give it a try. Pretty good starting facilities, so there's something to work with here. The squad isn't super deep though. The goal is 13th or higher to not be relegated. I won't know what to expect until we get games in. I was trying to the logo used on their actual kits but then I saw this. Popular Post officiallydeej
@darren1983 The reset date for Hungary is June 20th. Mighty Magyars - Budaörsi SC I have spent the last week or so reading the whole thread before deciding to dive back in myself for my first attempt since 2021. There has been some terrific content to keep me entertained in work Zoom meetings during the run up to Christmas and huge congratulations to those who have already completed this year's challenge. I have decided to take on the challenge in Hungary, specifically with Budaörsi SC. Although the team are almost 100 years old they have no real success of note, hopefully I will be able to change that. I've chosen Hungary for two reasons. Firstly, it's one of the countries where this challenge has not yet been completed. I'm not sure how easy this will be as I did notice on the list the youth rating here is rather low. We do start as a professional outfit however which should help aid develop of the youths we do produce. Secondly I want to try and create something close to the great Hungarian team of the 1950s, led by Real Madrid legend Ferenc Puskas and often referred to as the Mighty Magyars. They were noted for several famous games in the mid fifties, including the 'Match of the Century' in which they beat England 6-3 at Wembley and a famous run to the 1954 World Cup final, eventually losing to champions West Germany despite being huge favourites. Although this challenge obviously doesn't include international management, if by some miracle I do complete the challenge I will look to take over the Hungarian national team and continue playing. Popular Post The_Gato_In_Goal
Brønshøj BK - Review Season 8 The intake may not have been very exciting, but the league campaign was. We cruised to the title on 75 points, the league record being 78, winning the NordicBet Liga for the first time since 1992. We made it through the preliminary phase without a defeat, but once promotion and the title was secured, and we had to play midweek matches every week in the promotion stage, we slipped up and lost a few. Still, a great seasn that sets us up nicely for the financial windfall of making the top flight. We turned professional at the end of the season, and the next step will be getting everyone on full time deals. Only two of our best players refuse to sign a new deal, so they will be part time for now until they get over it. Both are contracted for the next year and a half minimum. One of them is Aaquist 08a, who I though would get poached in January last year due to the bug. I was able to get him to sign a new deal and increase his wages substantially and that made teams have to bid for him, and I could reject those offers. Another youth player on a smaller part time contract teams were still able to poach due to the bug. Luckily, I was able to offer improved terms and he surprisingly chose to stay put and sign the new deal. I don't know what the exact threshold is to protect from the bug, but it won't matter anymore as we are turning pro. A few of our key players: Spoiler The finances look solid and will only improve next season. I held off on any more upgrades as I don't want to stretch our balance too thin and not be able to offer full time contracts to our players. As always, no transfers in.

Popular Post Vlach
Season 2024/25 It feels a bit like cheating, but it wasn't cheating. just much much luck. We got promoted to the Seria A. Being 4th place after the regular season, we won against Empoli and Reggina in the playoffs. Especially the two games against Reggina were destroying my nerves. We won our home game 4:0, they simply broke down and couldnt deal with the tactics I employed. But then in the away game they did more or less the same to us, it was 3:0 for them at the 82th minute ... but we withstood the pressure and got promoted. I assumed to battle against relegation at the start of the season. The 4th place in the league is for me some sort of strange miracle/luck: we just won 15 games, drew 14 and lost 9. Our goal difference was just +3. Last season the 4th place had 67 points, we 59. (last year we would have become 9th with our points). The league this year was probably more equal, otherwise we would not have been able to pull that off. For next season in Seria A of course its most likely we go down. Our original players start to retire (five this season) and getting really old, the youngster are at least two years away from being Seria A ready if at all. My goal will be to try to use the money and fame of Seria A to improve infrastructure and coaching as much as possible, in order ro lay a foundation for future things to come. And hope that i wont get sacked ... Daddy
2023/24 Midseason Review: Weird team. Everyone is either old and grumpy (already leaving club when I took over), or young and not good enough. Dealt with a fair bit of injuries too. If everyone stays healthy enough I think we can survive and hope the intake gives us some capable players. Intake Preview: Speaking of the intake, it looks pretty promising. Will need to do some retraining I'm sure but it seems like there will be about 8 players with some potential. Now to survive that long.
Popular Post libbyshuss
We're back in Europe!!!! Europa League this time! Mainly down to Lippi 40K who is looking by far our best ever newgen this save so far. Youth Another cracking preview and intake! Hopefully they prove better than the last couple of years have done in the end. Best thing about the intake was the two Portugese, one French and one Dutch player - the fruits of my new affiliate teams finally! sadly none of them look any good! Best of the lot is this lad:- Also, got onto the top 50 wonderkid list! Kyrell Moore 40A is an Irish centre back who I decided to give a first team spot to this season. One of the only players left with a 4 star potential after the purge of last season! he had a pretty poor season to be honest but hopefully he'll start showing that potential soon. Although Petrovic 40G, who made the list last season, is now only a 2.5 star potential Serie B talent so...... Career Completing the challenge in Italy is still looking a long, long way away to be honest.
Popular Post officiallydeej
Season Summary Well this was unexpected! We started very well and were sitting top of the league, 10 clear of third going into the winter break. After I renewed all the contracts our form fell off a cliff losing 4 straight in a row but we managed to recover, winning promotion with two games to spare. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned this has come too soon, the quality jump to the top league seems huge and I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see us come straight back down. Our rearguard was creaking towards the end of the season with a 36 and 33 year old, the former of which will be retiring before the start of net season meaning one of our younger lads is going to have to step up pretty quickly. We did manage a HUGE shock in the cup, holding out against top tier champions Ferencvaros for a famous 1-0 win before eventually falling in the fifth round to another top division side, Vasas. Youth Intake Two five star prospects in the first intake. Both are unfortunately unambitious but good talents nonetheless. I gave Nagy a start in the final two games of the season after promotion was already secured and due to retirements he'll be in the first team squad ready for the start of next season. I sign up 5 players in total from this intake but whether all will make it long term remains to be seen. Key Players Murai and Popov were a deadly front two, scoring 46 of our 67 league goals between them. Urbantsok is only 18 but forced his way into the first team half way through the season due to his rapid development. He's already been capped by the Hungary u19s and I feel I would have lost him if we didn't go up. In fact I still may as the big Hungarian teams are already monitoring him closely. Transfers Our third choice keeper became unsettled so I let him leave in January for a small fee. Popular Post The_Gato_In_Goal
Brønshøj BK - Youth Intake Season 9 Couple of solid players who hopefully have the potential to be regular starters. Having full time training has certainly helped player growth, so I have more hope for some of the lower ability players now than I did in the past. As I've learned with this save, 5* potential can either mean lots of room to improve, or the CA is already almost at the PA. If the former is the case here, Spelmann 09a has a solid future as a BWM(S) Gjøg 09b projects behind the star of last year's intake as an IW(S) on the left, but has solid attributes and a good personality. Strudal 09c has some pretty bad traits, but if he develops he can be in the mix as the RGA(S).

To do a quick reminder last season we finished 8th in the opening stage and 17th in the closing stage Here the team as we speak Spoiler Nothing really changed since last year , we just had 2 good youngsters which play respectively left and right back , so we have a lot of options in the wide area We had a roughter start of the season than last years, but we managed to secure some wins and we finished 12th of the opening stage, just enought to be in playoffs where we lost in the first qualifying round , a boring first half of the season to be honest Spoiler The interesting part comes here, if you remember last updates our best player , the goalkeeper , was leaving the club at the end of his contract in the middle of the season so we needed a player to replace him, i had a few choises and among them my backup keeper ( Bernardo Partida ) who played good when we needed him for the past years. He played 4 games but he did too much mistakes to give him other chances to play , so we needed a change. I had 4 youngsters playing in the u20 team available as keeper, all had pretty much same level and potential but i decided to let my younger one ( 17 years old ) have a try , he had a great personnality and he played well in the young team I was really scared of him and was expecting to concede a lot and ... he was an absolute beast Spoiler As you can see he played 15 game in the club conceding only 13 goals with 7 clean sheets and 3 player of the match which is monstuous as 17 years old despite his small build for a keeper He played really well in u20 national team too in really tough games against major countries too and i expect a lot from him for coming years Thanks to him we finished 10th in the closing stage so it's the first year since the start of the challenge that the club play both playoff in a year, Sadly we didn't manage to win the qualifying game like in the opening Spoiler We were lucky this year to not lose a player , we only selled a backup left back who played absolutely terribly in his new team in 2nd division so no big deal Spoiler We still can't upgraded facilities this year because we have no money and it shows as this year intake was good but no gem hidden in it, no good personalities this year too Spoiler We did a good year in global but no big improvement either, if we can't upgrade our facilities i think we will at best stagnate in mid table as im not a good enough coach to do big results with the level of the players We might sell players in we have a very good offer next year to generate some ressources Edited December 25, 2022 by MacronQLF
Popular Post ludak
WE'VE DONE IT! It was as far as we could go. Leeds was too strong for us. Two of the top scorers are my boys. That's all for now, when time allows it I'll post all of the players. Cheers boys
gb2003
Karşıyaka SK Season 6 - 2028/29| TFF 1.Lig - 10th (Media:18th) | Cup - 4th Round I never thought that the 1st season without my top scorer from the last 4 years would be so good. We could finish 10th even we had the chance for the playoffs but wasn't constant enough at the end. After the winter break my team had a run of 9 games without defeat so we could manage to avoid the relegation. At the begin of the season my right back Gökay Dincel left me for 1.3 mio and at the winter break my right back Görkem Iyik for 1.2 mio. Görkem Iyik is a big lost because it was my best player and had a 4 years contract left but my president wanted to sell the player to Fenerbahce. After Mehmet Kalkan left, Kerem Can was my top goalgetter. Also my new goalie Muhammed Sari from the youth make a big step so I had a good goalie for the entire season. It's a bit of a speciality of my youth to get good hot prospects as a Goalie! gb2003
Karşıyaka SK Season 7 - 2029/30| TFF 1.Lig - 7th (Media:17th) | Cup - 5th Round I had a really good season and after the winter break we had a monster run to finish in the playoffs. We won 6 of our last games but lost the 1st playoff game against the team which won the playoffs at all so they play in the süper lig. They had a great 2nd half of the season and only lost against me in the league but could manage to win in the playoffs. I'm still happy for the really good season. It was my 1st season without a lost of a key player. I could renew most of the contracts from my key players like Umut Kilic or Murat Tükenmez without a release clause. This is so important because Umut Kilic play so good and is a key that I played such a great season. I still don't have a new good striker but Kuray Gebeci looks good with finish 15 and a height of 199 cm. Fun fact about Football Manager: Mehmet Kalkan plays again 2nd league. He left me because he wanted to play in the süper lig. He played 1 game for Trabzon in the cup and is after 1,5 years back in the league on a fix transfer to Fatih Karagümrük. It's really annoys me that he scores now for another team. I think I would finish better with him this year. I had three major departures in the game and all three players play in 2nd league. 2 on loan and on on a fix transfer. So what's the deal that they wanted a transfer to a bigger club. This is what I don't like in fm. Popular Post The_Gato_In_Goal
Brønshøj BK - Review Season 9 This was a tough year, but one we barely did enough to stay in the top flight (and in the money). The gap between the top teams, and most of the teams in the top flight in general, is a stark departure from the parity present in the rest of the Danish pyramid. We're going to struggle next year since Kenneth Aaquist 07a, Mark Nielsen 03c, and Christian Provstgaard 04a all refuse to sing full time deals (after the entire season of being unhappy) as they want to play for stronger teams. They are all out of contract next January, so I will look to cash in on Aaquist 07a and probably just keep the other two since they're not worth much. The only good news is that there are going to be two newly promoted teams next year that we can hopefully finish ahead of, and we will continue to earn money and develop players with full time training. A few of our key players: Spoiler I will look to sell Aaquist 07a this summer, hopefully for $1-2M plus a sell on fee. He didn;t develop as much as he would have without full time training, and I don't think he will develop at all in the next 6 months on a part time deal, so it's in our best interest to sell him and let him improve somewhere else to hopefully get us money with a sell on clause. We have a few youth players in the midfield, so I won't mind letting Provstgaard 04a run down his contract, He's hardly irreplaceable. Same goes for Nielsen 03c. He's not 100% committeed to leaving yet, so he might end up staying if I have the option to give him a new deal in December. Sondergaard 08a from last year's intake is looking very promising. At the moment, he also refuses to sign a new deal because our squad isn't strong enough. Hopefully we can improve that in the next season and a half before he leaves us on a free as well. Noah Gerits 08e came out of nowhere this season and improve substantially to become a top player at the club. He also refuses to sign a new deal, but we have him locked down for 2 more seasons. Look at the progress he's made in the year he's been here. Finances and facilities look much better than a year ago, and of course no transfers in.
Winski
Jyväskylän JalkapalloklubiYouth intake season 3 | 2025 I'm back in Finland! I continued my save with JJK, and I'm currently in season 2025, my third season at this club. In the last weeks I posted about my save in Germany with Lok Leipzig, but I wasn't really enjoying it. So I went back to this save, and I just love it. I will do the season review later, as the season isn't over. But I will post about the youth intake first. The preview we got was a promising one. I made U20 Manager Tim Sparv responsible for the intakes. He has a Model Citizen, so I hope it will effect our intakes. The intake itself was a very good one! No less then 9 Elite Talents, and some of them shows lots of potential. Spoiler And last but not least: we got our first 2 internationals! Haglund 23a and Eriksson 23e, both from our very succesful 2023 intake, have been called up for the National Team of Finland. To be called up is one thing, but scoring a hattrick in your first international match is just magnificant! And Haglund 23a scored the other goal, so both of my players were responsible for all the goal for Finland and their great win against Turkey. This is just great!
gb2003
I never wanted to sell the player but I get over 13 mio. Too much money for me as a 2nd tier club. Edited December 27, 2022 by gb2003

We at least didn't embarrass ourselves, but we are no where near advancing. Spoiler Cup Another Cup in the Trophy Case. Spoiler League Our 5th consecutive league title, but this year it was only on GD as Differdange put up a serious title challenge. I'm surprised we've held onto our streak, though I expect it to break at some point soon. Spoiler Youth Academy: Youth Intake Preview Spoiler Youth Intake Spoiler Best Prospects None, terrible intake Best XI Spoiler Club Infrastructure With a CL Group Stage we can now get "Scouting Affiliates" to begin broadening our pool of players. I found a great fallen Giant in Romania with Exceptional Academy Coaching & Excellent Youth Recruitment. I also picked up a Belgium club, in the 2nd tier. Next will probably be a Portugal Club to boost our drawing power there and then Italy as there are a lot of Serie C options. Then maybe we will get the chance to upgrade our YF... Spoiler Luxembourg The other clubs didn't do as well this year in Europe so we lost our 2nd CL qualification spot. But the league is now 19th and apparently better than the English Championship, which is nuts! And we get another small bump in TV money to #5.96M Spoiler Thoughts Excel Season 1 - 15 Excel Season 16 - 26 The intake this year was awful and I'm worried about it. Of course this is natural considering how good my players have gotten at this point compared to where LUX as a nation is, but I really expect more. If next year is bad I'll think about what I want to do with staffing. Hopefully my next affiliate in Portugal will help with how this club draws from that nation instead of Luxembourg. We are almost to a generational shift, which I see happening in 2-3 years but we have all the pieces in place to replace the aging members of the squad. Goal is to continue to qualify for CL group stages and farm reputation with the domestic competitions to get up to 3* Continental REP as hopefully that will unlock the next YF upgrade.
