  1. Random, but something that's been bugging me for a few versions now. I get why all 5 boroughs are in there (Manhattan, Brooklyn etc) but that would preclude "New York (NY) 2000152199" as being it's own entry with 5-10m people. NYC only exists as a combination of the 5 boroughs, which are already in there with their population indicated. As a result, the population of NYC is in there twice, and teams like NYCFC have two potential (and accurate) "cities", being "New York (NY)" or "Bronx (NY)". Shouldn't it be either - no boroughs (every club, person and stadium set to "New York (NY)"), or only boroughs (everyone set to their specific borough like Staten Island, Queens etc)
  2. I'd start by unchecking the boxes in those screenshots for start date, end date, and number of dates, as long as all 22 fixtures dates are specified under "dates" that should take priority (and the other boxes just confuse it IIRC)
  3. This is just being disingenuous, my instructions were so detailed and clear as to be pedantic. When your response is to post another file that doesn't include most of those suggestions, it tells me you don't actually want to make a working file, you want someone else to do it for you
  4. Look at my post history? Along with a few other editors, we go well out of our way to help people with their editing projects. The vast majority appreciate the help and say thanks. When you tagged me and implied it was somehow incumbent on me to either let you repurpose my FM23 work or help with NZ because it's a popular Pentagon file, I didn't realize you just wanted to thrust the file at someone, have them make a bunch of mysterious fixes, and that would be it. Hardly sounds sustainable for a working file over 2024 does it? Yes the editor is frustrating, that's why I left incredibly detailed instructions which weren't actually implemented in the latest versions. We all want this to be the best NZ file ever but it's not my file, now it's up to you to decide if that's too difficult. If time is the issue, I'm struggling to see why you haven't just answered what the purpose of showing the league tables twice was? Such a basic part of what you're doing with the league setup and if I don't know why, it's very difficult to help. Can't read your mind
  5. Tempted to add pro/rel between USLC and USL1. Reasons being, you already get stuff in the mod like players asking for promotion clauses anyway (no way to avoid this AFAIK). North Carolina also won USL1 this year and got "promoted" i.e. had already planned a move up - this would add that kind of variation which is a constant in the lower leagues. Anyone have any thoughts? Save it for an alternate version when most of the other work is done? Implement it after a couple of years? It would look pretty cool with 1 up, 1 down and the USLC conferences being split by longitude every year. Could look at extending it to USL2, would just need to make it so teams automatically go professional when promoted to USL1 and downgrade when dropping to USL2. Is that possible? Would they upgrade their contracts?
  6. It sounds like they just added something where the chairman will take a billion as dividends or something when it's getting close. Doubt they actually "fixed" the code overrun but just made it incredibly rare
  7. The 3-day minimum seems to be occurring with league playoffs as well, even if "days to check for clashes" is set to 1 or 2
  8. Editing award histories is bringing back the old problem - you can add one entry fine, but as soon as you add a new one (either by pressing "add" or duplicating an existing entry), then editing a specific field in one entry will actually change the other entry. Sometimes it appears that there's no rhyme or reason as to which entry will actually be affected by your edit.
  9. Yea, it's a third category (not Sammarinese, not otherwise foreign) so I don't think non-foreign would work but maybe my brain just isn't working
  10. Cheers, I thought you wanted some help learning how to make it work, I don't really have time to go in and make the suggested changes myself, verify, and troubleshoot further, especially if you can't be bothered. For ignoring the Phoenix, along with the qualifying rules just put an entry at the top of "teams" in the playoff with "ignore teams" checked, and use "get specific team" with the Phoenix (and one for their reserves if you want them excluded here, might need to set "team type" to reserves or B or however they're set up)
  11. Wow, reading up on DPMM and they've played in the top division of three different countries, that's got to be a record? I thought the Austrian teams who briefly played in the German structure were relatively unique that way
  12. Loading all players of English nationality and "based in" England will help teams fill out their rosters, but that's probably a lot
  13. I wonder if setting a "squad registration initial start date" is confusing it since you already told it to use the transfer windows for the top division (0). If you uncheck that, does the option for "use auto squad..." come up? Use that and it should adjust to the transfer window dates (with news items acting accordingly). You can still set the max squad size here and other "registration options" (I'd use "allow any squad numbers" as I think it has trouble with 40+ if you don't, and with a limit of 70 then obviously there will be some high numbers) Then under "squad selection rules" you can add stuff relating to foreign players, youths, etc. I think you can add a squad minimum but not sure if it works
  14. Is the non-EU thing happening to Gwada clubs? Realized this looking at the thread about Pacific islands, but if so, I wonder if the Coupe de France is applying the "non-EU" rule to Guadeloupe instead of France, and if so, whether just adding the EU (or just France) to "nations treated as EU" for Guadeloupe would help
  15. Thank you, I'll work on something when I feel like taking a break from padding out the USA file
  16. I wonder if it's applying the non-EU rule on the basis of the club's "Nation" instead of the competition, so New Caledonia, which doesn't have any set? @TheBigPog this could be a long shot but try adding France to New Caledonia under "relationships" and "nations treated as EU" (also add the whole EU?)
  17. Sorry I misspoke, looking at RSSSF I can remember the setup now. Each of the three leagues sends 4 teams, but in terms of the final 4, it's 2 from the host, plus one each from the other two islands (so the other islands play one extra knockout round on their own island to reduce their numbers). PLUS they've added that Saint Martin team, who slot into a special playoff against one of the 2 host teams (who won their qualifying match) before the final 4 starts. Lol, confusing as hell but intuitive once you realize what they're doing, my CONCACAF redux for FM23 was able to reproduce it
  18. IRL it's just the host 4 teams getting in at the QFs, with the other countries starting 1 round earlier and only playing in-country for the first couple of rounds, it's just the stages are really confusing at first glance. Like the host's semi-finals are one round later than everyone else's because they get 2 teams in the last 4 instead of 1. So it's a judgment call how to display that in-game
  19. As an editor you gotta pick, NCAA and USL2 don't make sense together and the first one doesn't interest me. Someone else might do something with NCAA on an earlier version of my file
  20. Keeping things updated... loads of rivalry cups active, admittedly some of these season series don't award a big trophy every year anymore but this recognizes the ones that crown a winner and have/had a trophy at one point (like the Brimstone Cup). Everything down to USL2 is done, other than their playoff hosting thing - the conference quarterfinals are split into two 4-team pods IRL for hosting purposes, that's tricky to reproduce so here it's 8-team pods (win your conference and you host). Then it's realistic from conference finals onward. Also, the game doesn't allow two-day breaks between playoff games anymore (I reported the bug), so the 4-team playoff weekends are extended by one day. Might do something with the USL2 divisions that don't get newgens and expand the academy divisions to include the USL Academy teams so more come through.
  21. Looking at the national U20 team in 2028 and it's mostly guys who started at an MLS academy. I haven't messed with youth ratings or anything (yet), I take it you want them to be just as likely to come from the smaller academies from MLS Next, USL Academy, etc? What helps with that?
  22. Ahh you know I was thinking of the Pacific islands where that happens, forgot which thread I saw it in though and assumed it was here with Guadeloupe/Martinique Speaking of which, Ligue Antilles is a fun one to add too, I think I had to use 3 rotating formats to get the hosting right last year
  23. Last resort - give all New Caledonian players French second nationality and take whatever "regions" are in New Caledonia, and put them in France. Make sure this isn't messing with newgen names and appearances first
  24. I was thinking about that Coupe de France bug where the Guadeloupéen teams etc fail to meet the non-EU rule, you could always give them all French second nationality and put the Gwada "regions" in France so newgens would be born with both. Bit of a brutal workaround mind you
  25. The coefficients were hilariously broken on mine, like half of Asia would participate in their qualifying while the rest were seeded straight into the FIFA CL, and be able to get coefficient points. Then the whole table would shift because the top half weren't getting any points that year, and the spots would reverse each summer. So I need to make the FCL distribute coefficients to Asia and Europe (and maybe Africa?) too, not sure if that will break anything. Might work on something like that after one of the major patches
