  1. Last I checked the MLS teams were NOT getting an intake (as intended). Most MLS Next teams get an intake (as intended), and after a couple of years those kids are assigned to a USL2 team from where they can play a year or two and be drafted (or poached by a D2-D3 team), which is the intended youth pipeline. Other Academy teams (USL And ECNL) are supposed to get an intake (I think) but that's not working. D2-D3 teams (USL, NISA) seemed to be getting an intake which I believe is a glitch, they might fix that in a patch, but it's not game-breaking, just some more mostly useless newgens running around. Running a test now with the MLS teams back in Open Cup to make sure scheduling works in 2026 and beyond, so will double-check this stuff
  2. Planning on implementing the season switch for 2026-7? Just kidding. Although it sounds less like they're actually moving any dates around as much as just planning to call the offseason a winter break now... December to mid-February which isn't far off the current system?
  3. May have been inspired in this line of thinking by @phnompenhandy's career thread, but what about moving Orkney (back) to Norway? Throw in some of the other Isles too (Anglesey was Norse for a couple of years a millennium or so ago IIRC ). Always have a good chuckle when stories like this come up https://www.scotsman.com/news/scottish-news/orkney-and-norway-relationship-explained-4214819
  4. Haven't touched CONCACAF CL or anything so it should work fine. Although I thought I saw in the bugs forum someone said that the NACL and the Libertadores don't add to a team's history (showing the trophies and competitions won). That might be a default issue. I wonder if there's a box or something we can check for that
  5. Off the top of my head, sounds like that relegation playoff isn't getting all the teams it needs (have you changed up the second tier? It's not sending a team to the playoff in time now?) and not setting up, so the whole competition isn't finishing
  6. That clause has MLS written all over it. Pre-Sounders winning the CCL they wanted to make absolutely sure they got in this thing regularly
  7. Forgot about that, did they manage to implement it in the default game? I gave up last year. Only thing I can think of would be come incredibly convoluted team pools but likely not worth the effort
  8. Will get to it eventually. They should patch it in eventually (not to say they will), so maybe in a different file. Still banging my head against the wall trying to sort award histories first
  9. The Club World Cup is STILL host to all kinds of preseason fitness issues, so we can only guess that for the devs to fix whatever coding results in being unable to field a competitive team would have too many knock-on effects with other preseason stuff and we're just limping into FM25 with a broken CWC to start fresh with the new game engine next year. As a result, the best we can do is move the whole thing up by four weeks - unrealistic, yes, but so is fielding a team of 4 players because the rest of your team are on holiday (). This takes the existing summer tournament scheduled for 2025 and makes it finish 4 weeks later with the final on Community Shield weekend (which should get bumped if you're in both). I'm not sure how the default version grabs the 5th-12th European teams (IRL it's a 4-year ranking), I've gone with the 8-year club coefficient you can sort by in the editor. Also updated the prize money. If anyone has noticed any other issues with the CWC so far let me know, this will have the same problems as the default version but we can fix it here (working on making the US host 2025 every time). DOWNLOAD (backup) (NOTE THAT THIS MAY NO LONGER BE REQUIRED SINCE THE LATEST OFFICIAL UPDATES) Compatible with: USA 2024 | Intercontinental Cup | CONCACAF to Libertadores | Russian clubs to ACL
  10. What about region? Presume they share "Southern Europe" or something and it's going off that
  11. Oh I see it, the Intercontinental Cup added today? Yeah will probably throw it in when I clean up the 2025 Club World Cup to deal with the preseason fitness issue. Those December tournaments are always a good way to end the season for MLS teams Also have to imagine they'll implement this in a future patch, especially now that it can be a different competition ID and won't mess up qualifying for 2025 (presumably why they didn't add the December 2023 one to FM23 at any point)
  12. Could be a ranking level issue? Is the English league a weird structure? Maybe it's getting confused as to who's actually the best team from that division
  13. "get all teams from division" was working with team's secondary divisions as of this morning, but those were all in active leagues so maybe that's it. Not sure if there's a way to mass-register teams. Anyway you're welcome
  14. I think it's the same issue that's been present for a few years now:
  15. Posted this in the bugs forum but I'm hoping someone will have dealt with this in the past, I recall something similar happening in previous versions but can't remember if I figured out a workaround or if it was just fixed in a patch. I'm able to add an entry, but as soon as you add a new one (either by pressing "add" or duplicating an existing entry), then editing a specific field in one entry will actually change the same field from another year entirely. Sometimes it's the one below, sometimes it's the last one you were on, sometimes it doesn't seem to have any logic, but it's not changing the highlighted field that appears in the details panel. Clearing the editor cache did reset all of my preferences but didn't do anything about that. Am I missing something obvious?
  16. Ahh yeah I've found that and been able to reset the preferences (as evidenced by the wild screen resolution and folder paths)... still having the same issue, essentially if you try and alter the value on any entry (year, individual, team etc) it will pick another entry and alter that one instead, leaving the one you were actually trying to edit (and which was highlighted and showing up in the details panel). I remember this in previous versions but can't remember what the workaround was, if any. Has anyone else found a workaround? Immensely frustrating not being able to edit a single award history
  17. That's what USL2 does (at least 5 of the 8 divisions or so). That's why people use the competition ID for their NCAA databases
  18. Ugh. You could try giving everyone in each local region a "secondary division" that's unused for anything other than to call teams? Might be more difficult to split them up by division in that case, some creative use of "ignore teams" maybe
  19. Yes! With the ability to add a logo from the default licensed logos, or from the "small" subfolder in the graphics folder, so you could add a club logo (or default to your currently managed team). Heck, make competition logos accessible for the neutrals while you're at it:
  20. Hmm yeah I swear there was a way, either by pressing ctrl+A to select all, or to copy and paste from another award (although then you have to reset other fields too)
  21. Hey I didn't say it was a simple fix facing the same thing for dozens (if not hundreds) of lower division US teams I wanted to call into certain cups that way
  22. For teams to play their designated home games at various stadia in a specific league competition, you can also just go into league settings and then at the bottom is "specific alternative stadiums used for fixtures in league stage". Tell it however many games you want them to play at this alternate stadia. This is easier than going into the team's "stadium" and just giving them an alternate stadium for various 1 or 2-week periods. For the stadium pool, as long as "randomise stadiums" is activated and UNCHECKED, then the stadia in the stadium pool will now become stadium_0, stadium_1, stadium_2 etc. Randomise is useful if you want, say, a cup final to be randomly picked from a list of pre-selected stadiums. I think the fixture differences above may be because the games are scheduled at the same time? But you can have multiple games per stadium per day (not sure you even need that box checked) as long as they're at least 2 hours apart
  23. One more big update, the MLS teams are dropping out of the Open Cup starting next year. This means you won't get to take MLS scalps as a lower division team, but the chance to add a trophy and play in CONCACAF is definitely interesting (at least until they announce that there's no automatic place for the winner)
  24. I believe all the region settings go by stadium location, so they all need to have a stadium set that's in that local region. Even then, getting teams that way can cause issues, someone said if you put them all under "registered teams" for that comp it should activate them but that might be too onerous depending on the number of teams. With some cups you can just uncheck "number of teams" and it will verify as if there's a lower amount of teams, but then they all show up in-game
