  1. The extra "international" tab that emerged over the last few editions (where you can, say, give someone caps for another country from earlier in their career) does make it seem like they're moving towards that nationality != national team scenario. But the second nationality box in general is weird, like how you can't mass edit unless they all have the same criterion ("born in nation"/"eligible for nation" etc). And for that matter I'm not sure many of those options work as intended anyway. You'd think that the "...but not eligible for nation" one would mean they still count as domestic in league rules, but no
  2. Sounds fun, let me know when you've got a completed NCAA file and how the experiments merging them go and we can try to release something together
  3. Any chance you can post a screenshot of the K-League 2 fate actions before you made your changes, compared to after? I wonder if I misread the fate action to send teams to the K2/3 playoff as sending teams to the K1/2 playoff. If K2 doesn't have any instructions to send a team to the K1/2 playoff, it won't ever schedule, and K1 won't finish as a result
  4. Not sure, I haven't touched the settings for the draft. You should look at the advanced rules for USA (and I think Canada has one too) and try to replicate that
  5. I also note: Marin FC 2000159307 2000220616 2000237817 The first two could likely be combined (one is "lower leagues" - former NPSL? and one is USL2), while the third is an academy team (affiliation could be added). Philly have a dev squad in NPSL as well, it's in the game but no affiliation set.
  6. Award histories have been filled out, it's nice seeing the other names who have won Coach of the Year in each division if you win it in on your way up, journeyman-style. Every playable team now has league histories filed out and a stadium set, it was just a few lower division sides missing stadiums but it was throwing off playoff hosting if they happened to make it that far. Most of the unplayable teams now have a home as well, but I think there's still a small chance you'll have to travel to an "unknown stadium" in the early rounds of the Open Cup if you're playing as a tier 4 side. Speaking of the USOC, MLS teams are back in the Open Cup for now, sounds like they'll use a bunch of rookies but under the main roster. Check out my Intercontinental Cup file for another MLS/MX-friendly tournament from 2024.
  7. Ranking levels for each round should help. It will at least know that a team is securing safety (or whatever their fate may be) by winning, although it might have to continually refresh its expectations each time it loses. Probably no different from some of the more exotic systems already in there tbf (thinking Belgian playoffs for some reason)
  8. Sounds like there are teams qualifying in the background, if you can check that box for "clear all qualified teams" and then call them your own way, it should help
  9. What have you changed from the original rules? Something with any of the stages in div 1 or 2? Not having a relevant fate action may be the issue but it's hard to tell from looking at it. By default the K-League relegation playoff has a "requirement" that the K-League 2 needs to finish, so that's probably not finishing in time (or at all) for the relegation playoff to set up and finish. In the 2nd division, is stage 1 the stage that's meant to send a team to the pro/rel playoff? The "fate action" that says "qualify team for stage" and sends the final winner to the pro/rel playoff - that might benefit from having "competition" set to "K-League 1" to specify where that playoff is, but this might be redundant if the default system worked without it
  10. There must be a "loser goes on" relegation playoff somewhere where, like, 2 top division teams play off, and then the loser plays a lower division team. For some reason I'm thinking the Italian lower divisions at some point in history? But as a cup, I wonder if you could assign the eventual relegation fates to the league via fate actions, so that the league is satisfied that it has a relegation spot (would be set to "0" but maximum spots set to the total going down). Loser goes on is easy enough with "next round for winner" or fate actions though, and then with fate actions can do whatever you like
  11. Can you do something with "start year offset" for that? I swear some default qualifying tournaments have run 2-3 years back before
  12. Must still be waiting to set up or finish a stage that depended on that playoff?
  13. The non-EU rule is glitched, you can't actually use it outside the EU despite it looking like you can. I believe in this case it would classify Australians as non-EU to themselves (even if added to the relevant agreement or specifically added to "nations treated as EU" to themselves)
  14. Yep, it sounds like it will go ahead in the same years as the summer CWC, which makes sense as teams would miss out otherwise. It's only 1 midweek game for the European teams now anyway
  15. This revives the Intercontinental Cup for the planned December 2024 tournament with the 6 confederation champions and the dates announced in September 2024: DOWNLOAD (backup) | TMC Megapack Compatible with: CONCACAF in Libertadores | Russian clubs in ACL
  16. That's interesting, maybe the limit is 128? I know 256 is a number it doesn't like in a lot of areas and that's on the same sort of pattern. What about having it only set up after the other stages are done, with that "transfer standings" option? Obviously not as fun as seeing the live table and having weekly/monthly awards but can still achieve some of the same goals like wild card qualifying
  17. Hey now you just get to deal with all the errors that pop up from in-game testing!
  18. Anything under "registered teams" for the comp itself, or in the rules? Does the team you swapped out still have that division as their "next division"? If all else fails, just go in the rules and take out "number of teams" and it should verify as it had 13 but then actually run with 14 in-game
  19. Windsor is gonna be a lot harder logistically than it should be, any non-Ontario team (home or away) requires a 2-hour bus ride to/from London airport, or if they're going anywhere other than Calgary or Hamilton/Toronto, a 4-hour bus ride to/from Toronto airport. I think Detroit airport will be a non-starter due to the costs and the logistical issues of getting 25+ people over the border there and back consistently. It does seem like a stadium might be in the works though Anyway back to the topic, great work as usual
  20. NC just moved up ("promoted", just not on the pitch, although coincidentally they did win USL1). The team lineup in this DB is accurate for the 2023 season as that's when the game starts. I might consider moving teams around after the official patches, I have a feeling they might do it anyway
  21. Sweet! Extra research and help is definitely appreciated. For now, I'm stopping here. Adding other D4 leagues and lower tiers sounds good but as long as active teams are producing newgens, another 50+ youth intakes is a bad idea. Those teams will also raid the USL2 teams to fill out their rosters, which we don't want (trying to think of ways to curb teams in USL and NISA from doing so). Honestly at that level it's kind of meaningless playing through a season anyway, outside of getting the chance to play with your local team. The game isn't really set up for amateur teams and it's hard to replicate stuff like finances and player retention/movement
  22. Last I checked the MLS teams were NOT getting an intake (as intended). Most MLS Next teams get an intake (as intended), and after a couple of years those kids are assigned to a USL2 team from where they can play a year or two and be drafted (or poached by a D2-D3 team), which is the intended youth pipeline. Other Academy teams (USL And ECNL) are supposed to get an intake (I think) but that's not working. D2-D3 teams (USL, NISA) seemed to be getting an intake which I believe is a glitch, they might fix that in a patch, but it's not game-breaking, just some more mostly useless newgens running around. Running a test now with the MLS teams back in Open Cup to make sure scheduling works in 2026 and beyond, so will double-check this stuff
  23. Planning on implementing the season switch for 2026-7? Just kidding. Although it sounds less like they're actually moving any dates around as much as just planning to call the offseason a winter break now... December to mid-February which isn't far off the current system?
