  1. Yep the crazy Saudi big 4 behaviour they've implemented (so they interact with European transfer markets a certain way) means any Saudi DB is unplayable. Obviously they don't care, they're not gonna mess with the algorithm just to help with a created league (even though a bunch of them were using my files last year). Any fix so far just nerfs the big 4 transfer activity which is kind of the whole point of playing in Saudi. Won't be maintaining or updating the file this year as a result
  2. Yeah, some teams even posted a picture with their trophy ("Independent Cup southwest region" or whatever) after the one-game win against a lower division team, lol. I thought about splitting it into 9 different stages so each could award a trophy but it seemed a bit much. Also not sure it would verify with the weirdness about including lower division teams in cups this year (on verifying it thinks there aren't enough teams but works in-game, so each stage would probably fail to verify if split up). Will consider that too. Seems a bit cheap to effectively give each NISA team a gimme trophy every year mind you EDIT: added the salary cap to USLC and USL1 based on their latest CBAs. They increase every year, then I think one ends in 2025 and one in 2027, so I've just left it blank after that (in case you build a superteam down there and need the extra space)
  3. To expand on this. In real life the amateur teams play a play-in group (or two-legged game) and the winners go on to play the nearest NISA team. In my DB I haven't actually enabled that early round (just imagine it's happening like the very early FA Cup rounds that aren't reflected in-game). There's an argument to be made that it should be playable because there are a couple of USL2 clubs who have teams in NISA Nation (like Capo FC) but it seems like they're using a different team (lots of these clubs have youth programs and use their USL2 team as the highest rung)
  4. NISA indy cup was only one round in 2023, like a showcase. As for bullet list of changes, no chance. Every update is more realism as I notice things, if anything is gamebreaking and needs a fresh save you'll hear about it. I saw Capo FC are setting up a team in NISA (probably keep their usl2 team too) but as mentioned repeatedly, this DB is for the 2023 team lineup (at least until a new update nukes everything and we have to fix it). Pro/rel version is not on the cards for now as I don't want to have to update two versions

This is 2029 (finally running a long-term sim with all these mods enabled): And the Euro club coefficient: Poor Arsenal and Spurs missing out (as intended) for not being the top 2 English teams (or winning the CL). Like a reverse of the Super League logic. I'm assuming Fiorentina got in over Inter because the seeding was done before the previous European season was completed (same as real life) - you can see Fiorentina would have been ranked above them one season prior. My 2025 sims always have Porto and Benfica in there too, which I believe is set for real life, effectively due to the two-per-country cap. My method isn't a perfect way of capping it at two countries - there might be weird quirks like 2 English or Saudi teams getting in even if you're somehow in a world where their coefficients have dropped like a rock - but it passes the smell test
  7. Only issue with multiple saves is the Hall of Fame updating with trophies from each save. I guess you could manually move the file around between saves but no way can I remember that consistently
  8. Won't help the existing saved game, but in the pre-game editor you could adjust England's transfer preferences to favour Montserratian players
  9. It's pretty cool. I might try and repurpose one of the Portuguese/Cape Verdean ones for a lower league team in Massachusetts that is a bit of a hub for the local Lusophone community (especially Cabo Verdean immigrants)
  10. Check the OP for a screenshot, the remaining knockout games aren't played (just no room on the calendar) and are settled in a league table by taking group results from the 6 Copa Libertadores group games
  11. Try putting in 100+ referees who are over 100 years old (so they won't show up in-game) with a bunch of names you want used
  12. That's fascinating. Has anyone got it working by taking players from a cup competition instead of a league? Like, "FA Cup All-Stars" for example? I'm using a specific cup and want to draw the All-Stars from the cup instead, as the league itself is inactive. I was using the extinct Thai and Viet All-Star teams but they still drew fake players, I figured it was because I was pulling from a cup comp instead of the league (although I tried a few different settings that way). @Dygon There's an All-Star rule that's something like "allow previous players" right? Maybe they specifically added that in to counter All Star teams regularly picking the same players over and over. There are criteria like "potential ability" and "competition stats" you can tell it to pull players by, which is interesting if it works This lot might be interested in a working All-Star function:
  13. I think you can get about 15-20 new countries from the extinct ones before they start producing hard-coded newgens you can't change (Borneo Malay, Singh Indian etc that seem to be reserved for affecting second nationalities in that part of the world)
  14. Guessing they have a multi-year license from the RPL and either way it's more work to change something than it is to just keep it intact. Although I did note they added the Crimean teams this year
  15. Yeah I tried duplicating an existing All-Star team, that doesn't seem to work. Interesting, though, if we can repurpose some of the hard-coded ones... just means you'd sacrifice being able to have it in both (i.e. it sounds like you've effectively sacrificed the K-League All-Star Game for your created Viet one). But Cambodia and Thailand aren't in there by default, right? You had to make them as custom leagues? Maybe I can use one of those and just leave a disclaimer that it's incompatible with that country having one
  16. Argentina starts in summer I think? But it's not an easy switch and would likely require loads of testing, so not really ideal for a network game
  17. Wow brilliant work on the spreadsheet. I've thought repurposing a bunch of those teams for their-hardcoding in a sort of freak super league, with every team having some kind of bizarre restriction imposed upon them
  18. Mine's still calling up fake players but I'm sure I'm missing a step somewhere. Does the comp itself (K-League or Thai top league or whatever) have any settings adjusted?
  19. You have to use the that extinct Bermuda Hogges club, I re-wrote over all of their details with UE Olot and made the old UE Olot extinct
  20. Can you get picked as coach? Do the players get "called up" a couple of days before? Gonna experiment with it myself, cheers though, this is promising. I don't think those settings worked in past editions but maybe none of us had the right combination
  21. Wouldn't one line with first date 0 and last date 37 do the same thing as having 38 different entries?

  23. Use "stadium pool", make sure "randomize stadiums" is checked, and then use stadium_0 (this will just be whatever is at the top of the list, so you can make it random from a wider list)
  24. Believe it or not I don't have time to do that either. In general adding NCAA is a square peg in a round hole, the game is not built for coaching at that level and it shows with all the issues with player movement. As you can tell I've put a lot of hours into focusing on USL2 instead, with a US database you kind of have to pick one (USL2 does all the same things with the draft). But if someone else wanted to put in the dozens of hours to make them work properly together, I'd consider working with them to release something
