  1. What is that? The parent comp league stage that's meant to have 100+ teams? You'll still have to list them all in "teams", you may be able to just put "get all teams from division", although you might have to do multiple entries of that, one for each subdivision
  2. Do people like NISA as playable? The only problem is they tend to siphon up some of the youth players (who we'd rather stay in the Academy Leagues or USL2 for another year), plus the league is dropping clubs like flies IRL. We could shift Chattanooga into MLS Next Pro like was just announced for 2024, but with their 2023 roster - that would settle the question of whether to have it as a reserve league or not (definitely want it playable with indie clubs in there like Chattanooga)
  3. Damn, isn't that why they added all the min/max and min/max for parent comp settings for pro/rel? Along with teams having preferred "regional divisions"? I thought it would have been sorted by now
  4. Parent comp can have a league stage with all the teams. Make sure "create fixtures" is active and unchecked. Under "league settings" go to "matches from other stage". Check the box for "extra league games" and add an entry for each child competition with the stage specified that you're getting games from. Since it's going across competitions, you may also have to go to each child comp and other "other stage rules" go to "take stage results into other stage" and add an entry to send results from a specific stage to the parent comp's league stage. That last step may not be necessary though, since they're already connected via parent/child comps so it might be fine
  5. Just started a new save (no custom DBs) to confirm, but yes, MLS teams' "media prediction" works for the first season and then from the update day it looks like this: (they all have -1) I have a save I can provide if needed.
  6. Just noticing the situations where you have two straight away games which are both across the country from your home city - say, on a Wednesday and Saturday (sometimes against the same opponent if one is in the cup and one is a league game). If it's over a certain distance from home, I can't help but feel the team would just extend their travel and train at a local facility instead of heading back to their training base. Might be a nice touch to get a news item (or even a choice) as to which local training ground your side are using for the day or two in between away games.
  7. I did also find a similar situation - needed 64 teams, it could only "find" 55 - so I changed the stage to have a minimum 55 teams, maximum 64. Thankfully it was a group stage that could accommodate it. In-game, though. it drew with all 64 teams anyway
  8. Quality over a rush job mate! Impossible to set a deadline just because CoryFM wants to play. No point in him rushing one out if it won't work as inrended
  9. Some comps seem messed up (CCL anyone?) but I've mostly got a handle on setting stadiums - do make sure that top box "randomize stadiums" is active and unchecked, or it won't always recognize the list of stadia there in the correct order (top is stadium _0, second is stadium_1, etc). You should set these under fixture rules obviously but also in "offset dates" under the date itself
  10. Doesn't the Europa League winner get into the CL? So the game will have a process in place like that (none of the competitions break whether that Europa League winner has qualified for CL, EL, ECL or none of the above via their league. So it's doable, even if the coding isn't visible anywhere (?). I expect min/max teams and using "ignore teams" in other areas is the way to do it, just not sure exactly how, would need lots of testing
  11. They seem to give between 10K to 20K per game without anything put in "money", I wonder if that's dynamic and based on rep though. Probably not
  12. This is an odd one, not happening to anyone else, guessing it's because he joined from Bastia and played in the All-Star Game before the game considered him to have played any league games (Liga MX was not active):
  13. TV types - national, satellite, Pay Per View - which gives the highest amount of cash per game? Is this tied to the amounts you enter under "money", and/or related to the reputation of the competition?
  14. Go ahead and test and release a fix, would love to see it working. Guessing it's either just as broken there (people report that the AI in leagues like MLS and Australia is broken after a couple of years too), or the effects aren't as pronounced because it's a much higher calibre of players they've made the AI target here. The bulk of the work goes into big leagues like England and Germany, if situations like this are a casualty of the algorithm then so be it, not like they'd change it up for a small minority of players EDIT: I wonder if there's a way to change up the entire contract structure to use some of the pre-defined types from, like, MLS or Australia. If the AI might be more likely to keep "senior internationals" around instead of just full-time players. Might be worth some testing
  15. I think that's an issue in the default game too. Might be worth a bug report if so. Look how how the Copa America does seedings (IIRC) and the group draw too. Sometimes "keep seedings apart" isn't enough by itself, you have to specify a line "keep seedings apart" for each seeding
  16. I think you could get around it by having a flexible number of teams in the CL Qualifying round, set as a min/max (same with the other European comps to account for having or missing that one extra team). You can look at the default rules for the Asian Champions League prelims and how they deal with rankings with min/max teams in a stage
  17. Did you post your file already? Can take a look later. I've had success with cup stages generating points but that was a few FMs ago
  18. I think you can even use those options like "city" or "region" to make it occur from within a specific area, with minimum capacity requirements. Might be one for @rusty217 or @Dave Fairbairn
  19. I saw something like that with my parent comp in USA D3 but seemed to have got around it by re-setting everyone's "competition" (even where already set by default) and giving them the same for "next division". Not sure if it's a durable fix mind you
  20. Adding NISA and "unlocked" the rivalry cups like the Cascadia Cup that are already set up in the rules. Always looking for research on stuff like ticket prices, season-ticket holders, etc, we can build a really detailed DB here with some collaboration.
  21. Anyone else seeing the editor use an insane amount of C drive space while verifying large files this year? Is it putting temp files somewhere that I need to get rid of?
  22. That's messed up, any chance it's getting confused with team types? Like not recognizing first teams or U18s or something as legit for that division?
  23. Short answer yes, just lots of work. I think whether Europe or Asia, you'd still have to rebuild a bunch of the competition structures to account for the extra team and keep everything moving smoothly. Maybe a project for when the final patch is out (so no chance they release a fix that throws things off)
  24. I'm sure you've seen but there are some new settings for parent/child comps, in the parent comp under "child competition/regional rules" there are boxes that might need to expressly be checked to "don't reorganize teams into child comps every season". Plus all the normal stuff like the club's "regional division" setting
