Could you go under Italy in the editor (the nation itself, not the rules) and add England as "nations considered as EU"? Obviously you shouldn't have to, but if it looks and acts the same way it might be a suitable work-around

No it's the "derby" itself, under "derbies" in the editor. I think that would only affect the occasional news item that talks about the derby and the all-time record. To have a visible competition, you could make one in the editor that updates year-on-year and includes the last year's results, but not the all-time results - just the previous 4 seasons or so (with "year offset"). Also, I'm not sure if this would crash or reset when it hit a certain high number like 256 points or goals.

You can also check that box for "stadium requirements are just recommendations" for leagues where they just let them play at a public park or whatever while they get up to code. Looking very good btw, excited to see the file in action

Under "derby" you can specify all-time results between clubs. As for storing them anywhere else like a live league table, the game is pretty selective with how it stores data and that would just be seen as unnecessary info

I have the 2 year relegation down pat, but the game really doesn't like relegating into a previously inactive division, did you account for that somehow? Everything seems to work fine and then neither start in 2024 (even if I keep the Championship as inactive)

Let me know if you need any help with the mess that is CONCACAF. Was just realizing that the more they delay the FM24 downloads folder the more work you'll have when they finally do

Was working on Canada and I think I even got League1 Ontario's bizarre format change *almost* down pat, with some hiccups. Hopefully can get it working. Might start working on USL2 in the meantime

IMO some other DBs exist just to activate a league, people don't care about immersion/realism/detail and just want to be able to churn through a season or have active leagues in the background. Like the 100+ league megapacks, they serve a different purpose than those which are an actual version of the real-life rules and formats. On the other hand, you have DBs like this one which are release-quality (if not better) and definitely worth waiting for!

You know I saw it in other player's histories too, along with MLS guys. It just doesn't show any appearances and isn't consistent across all participants

I think Liechtenstein are hard-coded that way due to the cup situation, you'd have to re-do the whole qualifying structure (or swap countries wholesale with another ID like San Marino or Kosovo, although that would throw up its own issues). The only way into the CL is to win the ECL, then the season after to win the EL, then to stay in the UCL you'd have to keep winning it

There are a number of odd settings in MLS you probably need to replicate. Under "history", "automatically add history" is unchecked (presumably to allow the manipulations elsewhere). Under "other stage rules" there's all kinds of fate actions telling it how to assign the winners for the sub-comps. And specifically within the MLS Cup final stage, there's a fate action telling it to assign "team placing in competition" to "0" (same thing in the Western and Eastern Conference finals, which is required to clear up the winner there along with the stage finished action), that's referring to the sub-comp (i.e. the MLS Cup) which occupies that stage. Also under the cup final stage, under "general" there's a couple of boxes checked:

The extra stage shouldn't add any games though? So I wonder what's happening. There's also something in the main stage like "take stage results into other stage" you might need instead of "process results", not entirely sure how the points halving works this year Or does it add games? Then surely it's just running out of dates?

Sounds like there's another issue with dates or rankings somewhere so the comp isn't finishing in time. Unless everything else works perfectly except the points halving? When you actually test it in-game, not just verifying

Under stage 0 try under "league settings" that box for "process results into stage" and put 1 (or pls1)

Under "requirements" it has the previous stage? Also, you have "extra league games" checked and an entry with the previous stage?

Silly question but it knows not to set up until the previous stage is done?
