  1. Oh that's great, you won the O-League already? I guess my Wellington file makes it possible to win it without any custom leagues but it's not entirely realistic
  2. Thanks to all the comments and feedback @latrell @Liffa @Jorgen you guys rock, upvotes and Steam ratings are always appreciated
  3. Here's a file where the CCL last 16 go into the Copa Libertadores: The teams who drop out of the Copa Lib go into the Copa Sudamericana as usual, in testing I've seen multiple MLS and Liga MX teams reach the Copa Sud semis. This is my favourite solution because it preserves the game qualifying Mexican teams to CONCACAF like usual, no need to enable a custom Mexico file. To qualify Mexican teams to CONMEBOL tournaments more directly/differently, you'd also have to change the Copa Lib and Copa Sud advanced rules. IIRC the "teams" entries specifically exclude Mexican teams by default, I think they were worried about the Mexican researchers leaving in any legacy code-type qualifying from that year or two that Mexican teams were in the Copa Sud
  4. What does it do? In general mine only touch any competitions as advertised, can't control for and don't care about mistakes in any other DBs
  5. That was addressed in the CWC thread, it's something with the Morocco file you're running (DaveTheEditor?). I'd guess he's got the reserve division accidentally set as level 0 or something and the game thinks that's the "best team in division"
  6. Yeah that's a rough draft I haven't finished. Subscribers-only for now and that build looks great. AFAIK that setup will be compatible with almost all other DBs, unless they're touching the same tournaments. Any transfer files you might get off here or Steam will just override the future transfers I have set in the various league files. I think I'm done now (mostly for real this time). I've considered fixing CONCACAF club tournaments, that way the MLS qualifiers will go in to the knockouts on time instead of a (cancelled IRL) pre-qualifying group stage in September. But it's so close to FM24, and changing it from a fall-spring tournament might mess with qualifying from USA and/or Mexico for at least one season. At least my Copa Libertadores file kind of rescues the odd CCL format by having it pre-qualify to that tournament too
  7. Drop to 18 teams happens after the first season doesn't it? Guessing he's just looking at 2022/23
  8. I believe Steam updates automatically? But yeah, I might have organized everything better if it was all planned. I would run the 32-team Club World Cup file too, nice to have a big tournament every 4 years with teams like Real Madrid, Al-Hilal, Miami etc. The "World Cup redux" file for the 48-team tournament in 2026 is also full realism, and any issues (i.e. USA not being drawn in Group A) are the same as the default game. The league files are pretty self-explanatory, although looks like you're not running Iran (Persian Gulf Pro League) or San Marino. These two files help me with immersion by changing some other comp names to be more realistic And don't forget one of the Spanish files (Catalan or UE Olot) to add the Catalan visual second nationality to guys like Gerard Piqué. Lastly looks like you're not as bothered with fantasy DBs but there's the OFC, AFC and Copa Lib files that play with continental entrants
  9. Finally getting the Gold Cup to draw not-so-late, and look like this with the playoff winners not being known yet: Team mappings ftw. Will upload the new one shortly. Check my megapack thread for more CONCACAF/CONMEBOL stuff...
  10. I'm sure it will still need some tweaking and have some teething problems for the first couple of patches/years. Either way it's great news, well done to all involved in getting the deal done
  11. @sweetcarroll92 Here's a fantasy file putting the 16 CONCACAF Champions League second round teams in the Copa Libertadores groups from 2024 onwards. This was rumoured a couple of months back, although it isn't happening IRL (instead we're getting the Copa Interamericana - although I'd skip that file if you're using this one, MLS and MX teams are getting plenty of South American competition here and their calendar is pretty crowded): Screenshots:
  12. Oops, that was a (rare, I promise) typo, had his contract ending the same year he joined. Really appreciate the note, keep 'em coming if you spot anything off. Make sure you have enough sleep when editing, folks
  13. Let me take a look. Might have missed an outgoing transfer or one of the existing foreigners might be considered domestic
  14. Picking things up with my Pennarossa save. I usually play with the first season transfer window disabled, so am stuck with Pennarossa's default squad, with perhaps an inordinate amount of pressure on some of the Sammarinese veterans like midfielder Maicol Berretti and 29-year old Mattia Stefanelli up front. We also have 27-year old Italian Alessandro Conti, one of only 2 squad members rated at 5 stars for the division by the coaching staff. First off was Fiorita at "home", although stadiums in the country are actually randomly allocated for each game in the Campianato - This time, we were at the Igor Crescentini, a short drive up the road from our home castello of Chiesanuova. An air of mystery for my coaching debut in Montegiardino: Take that, Thomas Manfredini! We ended up running out 1-0 winners, with Moroccan youngster Ismael Bahi moving from the left wing to attacking midfield to start the second half. The move paid off, and he scored the winner in the 61st minute after skipping through the La Fiorita defence. Next up, Libertas at the Federico Crescentini. Let's hope we can keep up the 100% record...
  15. If they win the ACL? Yep, and in fact better than the default 24-team version. Same with Wellington coming from OFC. My stuff uses "get last winner" for the various comps, the default was "get qualified teams" with the "continent" set. So Zenit (a European team) coming from Asia would just confuse it btw the 32-team version still runs a 7-team version every "other" December (so not 2025 when there's a 32-team version in the summer). It has my best guess at the new format from December 2024, quite similar to the existing 7-team version but the Euro champ comes straight in at the final
  16. Yes, it remains under the Club World Cup banner for now as it's easier to schedule around it that way. Runs every December except the years where there's a 32-team version in the summer
  17. Sounds like something you'd need advanced rules for. Is it set up in nation rules (same as the default leagues)? Why is UEL bugging? Your nation rules shouldn't be set up in international or continental rules
  18. Isn't that automatically the case anyway? Or one of those boxes that's automatically ticked, at least until you tick the box at the left just to untick the box on the right? Lol, you can put 12 games a day at the same ground, can't you? Just spaced out two hours
  19. That's more realistic anyway isn't it? Although I'm not sure elections are actually held in-game unless it's "member-owned" too?
  20. Guessing one of those cups is extinct and you've just entered the wrong one, or is too new to have awarded a "last winner" (or the last winner is extinct already). Also possible you've just duplicated an entry but that would be too easy
  21. I think B team, permanent deal, same Board (maybe financial help, loans, and check the box for them to loan you players to gain experience). If you search the forum, there are some good posts explaining the difference, but I think it needs to be B, C, 2, or II to have the same Board option work properly EDIT: This is brilliant from @Unknown Hacker
  22. Hahah all good. Testing is always appreciated! As a result I went in and noticed some other stadium stuff that benefited from a touch-up, so we're even better now. Stuff like, the Dammam clubs who share a stadium having a backup in case they both play a home game at the same time... although I believe the game automatically tries to schedule stadium-mates in different slots if available. At least it must? Inter and Milan come to mind EDIT: @ajoobah were you touching up the stadia in a separate file to line up with the Asian Cup bid better? Any suggestions?
  23. Not handy. It's a bit of work, but because North Korea doesn't have that many entries and is so isolated it's not hard to do. Just change every North Korean person's days trained in nation etc from North to South, and go through and change every North Korean person's nationality (same for second nationality, which IIRC is just a few Japanese people). Same for every club (nation, based nation and continental cup nation), region, city, stadium etc. For the competitions it's up to you what you want to do, I think I put them in the South (the newly unified Korea) but made most of them extinct, except the DPR top league became a regional division in the Korean lower leagues. I didn't have the rules set up that low so it was fine, if you were integrating it with a Korean lower league DB that would take a bit more work.
  24. Interesting. Maybe it went for the lower unique ID or something like that as the tiebreaker to fill that open slot in the absence of any coefficient info. Let us know how you get on! I just loaded a new game last night, England down to level 8 (using the level 10 database here) with the default Finland and XAW's Norway down to the 5th tier (4. Divisjon) so Froya and Hitra get games (and newgens). I also added a huge Wales DB off Steam which hopefully won't clash, that should help Anglesey (Ynys Mon). Also found a Malta DB off the Workshop down to the Gozitan Leagues, which should help Gozo with newgens. Really the only thing missing is a durable Scottish lower league DB for Orkney and Shetland. Planning on a Guernsey build a club + nation save, Skipton Cup here I come!
  25. Sounds like they're not going THAT far... I think Konami has them as an exclusive again, not even in FIFA anymore
