I changed it to "friendly tournament" a while ago, so it just doesn't show up in the national screen like you're looking for (12 subs supports that it should be considered a glorified friendly tournament). This also means the competition adds histories but I don't think you get a cup added to your history (not that fair IMO). It's an easy change in the editor if you want to make it a "cup" again. Thanks for letting me know about the Steam link, maybe I need to change the name since the update

Sounds like you're running another file that disables it somehow. The default game has weird qualifying going on in the background anyway, I don't think we can touch it at all and have 2025 still work properly. Feel free to try in the editor though

Not that I'm aware of. I mean realism is out the window by that point, now that January transfers are all at their August clubs. Mind you I usually disable first transfer windows for the same reason

I know that putting a nation in North America's region before seemed to throw up all kind of names, they might have finally made it a melting pot of different nationalities and then they refine it with different settings for different areas of North America. Interesting possibilities as I consider a fictional New Spain database in CONCACAF...

Right, the new patch only adds February 2023. This adds December 2023 (7 teams or 8 teams), December 2024, December 2025 etc all following the same format. This cancels the 24- or 32-team version in June 2025

It's an option when selecting get best national teams by "region", not sure what the difference is or if anyone would even show up as they're all set to the normal "North America". Might even be new in this update(?), I don't recall seeing it before?

What bug are you talking about? This keeps the same format going every year from December 2023. There is no June 2025 version in my file, it's cancelled here

Mine looks fine, this is with only TMC UE Olot loaded: Are you loading the new 23.3 database? Try checking "remove all" up top before selecting databases again. Maybe it's trying to load multiple Spanish DBs or something. I'll save it to Steam again just to be sure Here's a mirror as well, try this if it still doesn't work

What's the "North America (central)" region for (separate from "North America")? Is that new? Maybe something to do with a namepool or qualifying somewhere that ignores the "other" North American countries (Saint Pierre)

Updating these today. You used to be able to piggyback off the hidden CWC squad rules in the default DB (was 30-man squad, now 23), but now I can't find them after ages trying different fixture rules, they might have put an end date between 2022/3 and 2025. Instead it asks you for a 30-man squad a week before the cup in December 2023, but doesn't seem to actually hold you to it. Meh, I doubt the AI managers will use more than 30 players, so just hold yourself to it

If you're willing to start later, load Brazil, they have a Feb 2023 start date, you might have to manually enter the winners for some 2022 competitions in the editor though

I'm guessing that's some hard-coding from SI. You can do it the way you described, but you'd do it with just one stage (just the cup as normal with normal cup rankings), and then I think in "other league stage flags" you send the results to the other competition. Then in the league itself, you "get fixtures from other stage" with max 1 from the Sumbangsih Cup. I'm guessing you'd also have to add 3 points for extra-time win and 3 points for penalty win to the league settings in case a team wins it that way. I don't have time now but can take a look later if you need a hand

I think you could get Confederations Cup to use WC host as long as its "set up" date was after the World Cup. Give the World Cup a hidden stage with "get host nation" only that doesn't actually do anything except qualify the one team to the Confederations Cup. Then if they show up as the only team in "qualified teams" for the Confed Cup (everyone else just got via "teams" in the first stage). Under stadium the host should be "pick from participating teams" or whatever it is. I haven't tried this but it should work. Additionally re: Martinique etc creeping in, can't you give the group stages the option to play with 1 less team using min/max. One group will just have 1 less team those years

Once I get the 7 and 8-team versions working with the new DB I'll take other requests. Just keep in mind the fixture calendar, if you're playing in Spain or England your team simply can't handle 5 to 6 extra games each season without ending up with a brutal schedule in the last few months (games every 2 days for weeks on end). Putting it in June like they have in 2025 seems to cause weird issues with player fitness, so putting it in European preseason (August) might be a future project. But December is good for competitive games and lets countries like Brazil, Japan and USA take priority with scheduling for once (close-out to their season)

Thanks so much for the feedback. It's been re-verified and Catalan nationality has been given to the new players and staff they added in the March update.

I could do 6 teams with a playoff between host and OFC winner. Then two 3-team groups and straight to final/third place/5th place (same day is fine). Anything longer is just too long an unwieldy. But I can teach you how to make it even bigger. Going to go through this weekend and redo the files with the new patch, Feb 2023 will stay "default" and then my custom version will pick up

I wonder if Nations League was only working before by kicking out the lowest ranked San Marino or Andorra and you just hadn't noticed? Now they've hard-coded the teams instead of just "get best teams from Europe"

It only works for dual nationals of the club's "nation" and "based nation" sadly (or single national if they're the same, like an all-English transfer policy). No way to truly replicate the Athletic Bilbao policy where you can be Basque but not Spanish. Which is odd, because Bermudan players at Hogges wouldn't have had US second nationality (although I remember in FM13 the rule worked in the PDL for just Bermudans, or Scots, or Welsh etc without needing US second nationality)
