Popular Post XaW
XaW - Ungmennafélag Njarðvíkur - Season 2029 - Úrvalsdeild karla Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances We are the champions! Of Iceland, but it's a start. Had a great season, where we fought for the top all season, and we finally clinched it with a game to spare. Going into the Champions League next season will really help the club grow. The new stadium was ready for the start of the season, so our attendances went up a lot since we maxed out the previous one last season. Also, playing in Europe really helped and almost cleared all our debt! With CL next season, I hope I can start working on improving the club going forward. I've started on the National B license this season, but I'm not done yet. Deildabikar: We finished 1st in our group ahead of Stjarnan, HK, Grótta, Víkingur R., and Leiknír R. Then we beat Keflavík and Akraness to win the cup.Bikarkeppni karla: We beat Tindastóll before we lost to HK in the 4th round.Europa Conference League: We first beat FC Differdange of Luxembourg , then KF Shkëndija of North Macedonia and OFI of Greece before we lost to Lokomotiv Moscow of Russia in the 4th qualifying round. Youth intake: A much better intake than last season, and we even got a midfielder! A good midfielder is much needed, even if he is much more of an attacking one than a central one. Quote U19s: They only played friendlies. JLAB
Decided that I'm going to try and start with Beira-Mar in Portugal when the full game comes out. I know a load of people have already started with them, but I like what they already have in place there. Even if the 3rd and 4th tier leagues look absolutely insane at the beginning of the save.
MoonMonster
I was just offered a job at Hearts lol. They must not be paying attention to our recent run of form. I'm guess I'm going to be sacked soon. Losing our best centerback, both strikers and best center mid has absolutely killed us.

Does anyone know if this have any positive impact on the player? Does it improve their development? For me the biggest boost has been selling them when its a higher reputation nation they play for. Once they get caps their value jumps even if they are the same ability. That's how i got 8M for my CD. Once he got a Congo cap his value essentially doubled overnight. The additional games can be rough though if they are injury prone / low stamina. The players that have most benefited from it in my save have been my GKs as more games really isn't an issue there.

Really hoping a striker or one of the wingers exceeds expectations as I could really use talent there. Intake Preview Table: About where I expected to be. Exceeded expectations in the FA Cup making it to the First Round where I drew L1 Blackpool at home. Watson156
Season 5: End of Season Update Chertanovo Moscow | Russia Premier Liga | 2026/27 Results | Squad | League Table | Transfer History So after the mid season break we returned with the 5th Round of the cup. A relatively straight forward win put us into the next round where we would ultimately battle hard but lose to a better Zenit team. I was really proud of our cup run, as although we got a pretty easy draw in the group stage and also the 5th round, we were able to play our backup/more youngsters and get them some good 1st team minutes. It's also allowed me the opportunity to try out a couple of different formations which has been nice, although they haven't developed well in the league when I've tried them. Speaking of the league we had a really good 2nd half of the season and really proved that we are a good solid mid table team with the opportunity to beat the bigger teams. Of course our 1st game back against Dinamo we conceded another 90th minute equaliser. I've been looking into our goals conceded and there's a glaring problem that I'm not sure is fixable. We concede a lot of headed goals from crosses/corners. I don't know if its a FM22 match engine problem or if its combining with the fact that our defenders are just so small. Our tallest defender is 6ft. It's a real problem and in the new intake it wasn't solved! Anyway, a really good March & April saw us win 5 in a row and go 7 undefeated. The most pleasing thing about the 5 wins is undoubtedly the 5 clean sheets. It's one of the areas that has really improved this season. I'm hoping that over time as our players continue to develop and grow then this will keep improving or at least stay at this level. The slightly disappointing aspect however was the lack of goals scored in the 2nd half of the season. We were creating more than enough chances but time after time our strikers were missing their chances. In the last month we had the @Makoto Nakamura problem. Our star striker and top goalscorer Fred Ibara missed training after being seen stumbling out of a nightclub. The first time it happened he was fined 2 weeks wages, and sat on the bench for the next game. The 2nd time it happened he was demoted to the 2nd team and missed the last 5 games. I really hope this doesn't happen again as although he wasn't as good as last season, without him we only scored 3 goals in the last 5 games. Worrying. I almost forgot. Unfortunately Carlos Soldani didn't get bought by a big team, and even though he finished 2nd in Young Russian Player of the Year, he still hasn't been called up to the Russian National Team. Hopefully this year, we could really do with that money! Obviously the main part. Youth Intake!! Another really good intake with 5 5* potential players and another 4/6 players that could be really good and contribute. The standout is Mikhail Scherbachenko and while he has fantastic attributes at such a young age, its just a shame that he's another striker. We already have 5 good young strikers, and when were only using 1 up front it's going to be hard to get them all game time and keep them happy. We also got some good wingers and even more centre midfielders. Were going to have to have a real hard look at this team and possibly start selling of some of our players. We just currently don't have the space to keep all these players happy and get them game time. It's going to be a long hard off season to try and solve some of these problems. Miek
Two season later we made it to the top flight One great youth intake brought me 3 CV's that instantly replaced my starting CV's. Popular Post Daddy
Final Table: Officially survived on the 2nd to last match. Dipped into the relegation zone a few times. Team just cannot score, and had to deal with some injuries. 46 Goals for was 20th best, and 55 allowed was 11th best (though 4 came in last match when I played all youth players and lows 4-0). Youth Intake: Another really strong intake. The U18 is now loaded with potential, but really needing some growth fast. One player immediately moved to senior starting eleven: Wish he had more scoring touch and wasn't unambitious. Upcoming Season: The board is happy, but the team is broke so nothing can be upgraded. Solid defensively, but no scoring. If none of the young players step up and net some goals I would not be surprised if I didn't survive the season.
phnompenhandy
Sorry, just butting in here one time If you find the challenge "too easy", try what I've inadvertently done. Going back to FM18 and using a L22 lower league file, I set up the game and found myself in Level 22 with no players and no staff. I decided to take the challenge overly-literally. I signed up all my grays, them all being youths whatever squad they were in. It took to the end of pre-season for any staff to arrive, so I've effectively started the first season with CA1s all round - players and staff. With no facilities, I've convinced the board to promote youths from within the club and will never take any triallists or sign any external player. I'm currently sat bottom of my level 22 division, my solitary goal being an own goal. Some of my first teamers, if I persist with them, might show some potential in time. However, when you sign grays on amateur terms, they demand to be key players, so I keep having to release tranches of them before they unsettle morale - which is understandably already flaky. I do sign all the grays that generate in my U23 and U18 squads and occasionally one is better than my first teamers. I feel like I'm at the bottom of a very deep well, with one promotion even at this level being unlikely for the first season at least, but I'm really enjoying it. Okay, thanks for "listening"; as you were.....
Popular Post Makoto Nakamura
To anyone who does try this challenge in Wales, be careful of loading Wales as the only playable league, it means TNS can hold onto their players a lot better and this is what can happen. We finished 6th, so we can look back at a good season. We are not scoring lots of goals, our topscorer only scored 9 goals. But he isn't that good, so hopefully we will get a good young striker soon. One of our defenders from last year's intake, Páll Árnason 22k, is developing really well. Valur, who became 4 times champions in the last 7 seasons, relegated after a terrible season with only 3 wins. Our 2023 Youth Intake was fantastic! A lot of potential first team players, some of them already played some matches. So it won't take long before our first team is full of own academy players. fairsy
This challenge doesn;t get any easier.....I've started with Needham Market, terrible facilities and just 12 players. (My best CB has 1 strength and 2 Jumping Reach....) I'm currently approaching the end of the season - 9 games to go and just the right side of the relegation trapdoor, but it will go down to the wire - my good start has helped me out no end The board won't upgrade any facilities, and my intake looks terrible - will it really be as bad as it looks, or is there any hope that it is better?! Braumiller
Well, the dutch attempt is dead! Finished the first season in 18th, unspectacular but functional. Never found any rhythm nor a tactic to stick with. Zero youth intake worth noting and therefore a lost year (and why I didn't post a season 1 update, I had zero buy-in to the club/save at that point). Year two started ok, but we absolutely fell apart. Only Helmond being similarly atrocious kept us in it even on the last day of the season. But alas, we lost and got relegated.... So, holidaying again to find somewhere new. And to determine if the issue was me, the tactic(s), me, the team, me, the league or me How are you all approaching the challenge tactic wise in the first season or two? Feeling like I need to crowd source some approaches / tactics after that depressing affair.... Elsjorro
Cottbus 2037-2038 First things first: So im trying to get my players out on rents. But its not working yet. So we tried getting a sattelite club and it became Vizela in the 2nd division of Portugal. So going into next season, we are gonna send out players to see if they develop. Cause i still have that problem. So pretty epic preview again. A very talented MC, a AMC, a winger, a striker and a decent wingback. I have had worse intakes. So what we really need now, is one or 2 CB's. If we look at the squad, its lacking there tbh. Im filled with midfielders, but we only got 2 decent CB's. One of them is Gunaydin, who isnt really a CB but he plays there because there is nothing else to play there. But he wont resign and Osei is around his early 30's at this point. So lets hope we get that soon. Intake itself is a bit meh. Flender is the striker they are talking about, but i dont see him as a striker. Mehmeti and Karadeniz look like they might get into the squad. So another year in the 1. Bundesliga. I felt we would be able to stay out of relegations. And turned out i was right. We still getting hammered by the top tier teams, but everything from 10-18 we can get. So we finish on a nice 10th place far from relegation and far from european football. Fine by me. So season stats tell me what i allready expected: We have got 2/3 really good players ( Pena, Gunaydin and Brecht, who weirdly enough, is not on this overview.). The rest is mediocre at best, so im gonna give some talents the chance to step up. Forro will be released and replaced by 16-year old Schwarz and also Kahlisch is gonna be replaced by Flendel. We got Bobec as well, but he only decreased his skill instead of increase. Reinhard Schober, ladies and gentleman. So i would like to show the first Cottbus player that made it to the semi-world top. Schober left in the winter of the season that Austermann left to. Where Austermann was by far the more talented player, he now plays for Sankt Pauli. He only played 1 game for HSV in 5/6 years and never made his talent come true. Schober, on the other hand made everything come true. He went from Hoffenheim, to Schalke. Then he played 4 seasons with Torino. After those 4 seasons Inter payed 37.5 mil to get him in the team. allready 53 caps for Asutrai to. not to shabby.
Popular Post Pauldinho7
Another season of progress but almost disappointment at only finishing fourth after leading the entire thing for a lot of the first half of the season! Somehow we managed to get through the summer window without losing anyone despite some awfully low release clauses and it culminated in a superb Europa League qualifying finish. Youth intake was pretty average and it seems to be getting worse year after year despite the facilities being upgraded at the end of every season! I was recognised as the Manager of the year in Liga NOS though so hoping we can get through another summer with minimal leavers...
craigcwwe
Season 2021/22 Schedule 1: Schedule 2: Well, an unbelievable season with a gutting end, lost not one but two playoff finals to gain promotion to the top flight, that was a first for me on FM. The Champions playoff final we faced off against the group B winners, with just under an hour on the clock we held a 2-1 lead in an even game but they scored four unanswered goals in a 25 minute period to take the tie away from us, we pulled a goal back late on but it was a mere consolation. We then dropped into the playoff semi finals and came up against the runners up from our group, Quilmes, we dominated them in the first leg at their place and ran out 2-0 winners. As comfortable a game as you're likely to get before finishing off the job in the return leg days later in a 3-1 victory and 5-1 on aggregate to take our place in our second PO Final of the post season. We came up against the runners up from group B and sadly lost an even game 1-0 with a goal midway through the second half. Overall, as I said, an unbelievable season from us. I never expected to have a season that good when I started the save in my first season. We were top of our group from match day 12 all the way through til the end of the season. Very consistent. The race for first place did go down to the last match day however, with two games to go it was a three way for the first position but third place fell away in the penultimate game and we only needed a draw in our final game to confirm first. The football we played was an absolute delight to watch. Assessing the squad in pre season I was pleasantly pleased at the quality but I was only thinking about staying in the league that being said. Would say after about 10 games I started to genuinely believe we could maintain our early season start and push the top sides in the group and we did just that. Only had two back to back losses all season so we were remarkably consistent. Squad: Front four providing the entertainment for the home fans and the gaffer sat in the dugout! Facundo Silva is the main creative force deployed in the side and he was immense. 31 goals and assists in 35 games is incredible. Lovely player to watch. Ledesma the first choice striker certainly enjoyed the service he was provided, plundering 25 goals which included a Champions PO Final hat trick which sadly counted for nothing. Guille, my left footed left winger who is tasked with cutting inside off the left wing with a fantastic season as well, wasn't sure about him in pre season when I was evaluating the side but he quickly made the position his own from the start and was an ever present in my starting 11. Only 24 as well so one that I can hopefully get a few years out of yet. I did promote three youth players already at the club into the first team during pre season, those being Guido Echeverria, my backup GK who will feature more next season, Fernando Salazar and Exequiel Macias. Youth Intake Preview: Not the best of intakes straight out of the gate. The highest rated youth player, Giuliano Imperiale wouldn't sign with us so he departed but I've signed most of them up. A couple of stand outs imo.. This chap is outperforming everyone in my youth side right now and his development is flying as you can see on the progress tracker there. I rated him as third best from the first intake initially but he's since no.1. Always a nice surprise when this happens, a youth intake player does better than expected. Early doors of course but hopefully he can keep on this sort of trajectory! I'll be moving him up into the first season in pre season ahead of season two for sure. Transfer History: £1.3m brought into the club! Notes: I asked the board if I could go on a coaching course during the nine week winter break, they declined, I've since asked once again, after the last game of the season and they've said no again. Also been rejected was my request to improve the youth facilities. Edited November 8, 2021 by craigcwwe

Libertine13
2025/26 Another season of minor gains in terms of league results and position. In fact, we only lost two games in the first half of the season, which had us challenging for the automatic promotion spot. As we got closer to the business end of the season our form fell away a little bit and we dropped a few points to our league rivals which left us needing results elsewhere on the final day of the season for us to have a chance of promotion. Fortunately for us Kaiserslautern could only manage a draw in their final game but Magdeburg won theirs, leaving us with the Play Off spot. Our final fixture was full of drama! Away to Hamburg II (who had only managed 4 points all season) we nearly threw away a two goal lead as we found ourselves down to 10 men for the second half and then 9 men for the final 6 minutes and injury time... It was a fantastic season for our best youth product, Ali Akbulut, who ended the campaign with 15 goals and 3 assists in his 37 league games. I'm still waiting for other youth products to start developing enough for me to entrust them with significant game time. A few of the highly thought of youngsters really haven't developed enough for my liking and what with my playing squad starting to look a little old now I am worried about a drop off in performances and progress. In the Play Offs we were up against FC Heidenham. It was expected to be a close encounter over the two legs. Unfortunately though our defence failed us, throwing away a 2-1 lead in the 87th minute in the first leg and then thinking we had gotten back into the tie in the return leg, only to gift the opposition two easy goals late on. Off the pitch it wasn't looking like we'd be blessed with many decent youngsters coming through the academy. Another goalkeeper and attacking midfielder isn't exactly what we're short of right now. The actual intake was very poor. We neither got a goalkeeper or attacking midfielder who I was expecting to be the pick of the bunch. I'm not expecting any of this batch to be of much use in a couple of seasons time. We also had a youngster poached off us by Wolsfburg who had decent CA and PA, not sure if these players actually come through their youth system and we get a chance to see them in the game though. I'd like to say we'll be able to build on this good season, but with the squad aging and a lack of youth players at the required level I think next season will be a season for trying to find our feet with some of the younger guys. We also have a lot of interest from Bundesliga teams for our star man Ali Akbulut, I managed to get him to sign a 3 year contract with an option of another year so I'm prepared to upset a few guys by keeping hold of him until one or two more players come through. We also lost Matthias Rahn who retired, so there's a handful of goals gone from our team and a huge hole in defence to plug.
hairbearuk
Season 2 is done and went better than expected. We flirted with the playoff places in the 2nd half of the season and just missed out the last day. On the plus side we seem pretty solid tactically, just need to find some more goals to push on. Our conversion rate is poor so hoping a focus on set pieces next year will help us score a few more. Another excellent intake with a few players who could go on to be regular starters if they develop well and a few big lads to help with next years focus on set pieces. (seeing 6'6" 16 year old CB made my day) Off the field I bagged another coaching licence (National B) and increased our junior coaching to adequate. Financially we seem stable with a balance of 250k and a small profit in each of the first two seasons. Our planned ground expansion has been refused planning permission twice now but not sure what we can do about that, maybe the situation will change if (when) we eventually get promoted. Final note, my two "retired" players from last season have continued to feature (Watson was our top scorer as a BWM thanks to set pieces and penalties). Both say "retired from professional football" on their profiles but Watson accepted a new contract and Cartman just hung about on his old contract for another season until I noticed his wage. I can't decide if this is a bug or whether as a semi-pro club I don't count and it's working as intended. I've not seen this before on previous versions, any thoughts?
Bartrcm
Beira-Mar - Second Division - Season 2024-2025 Predicted: 16th Final position: 6th Again, it seems that the step up wasn't to big. We were never in any danger of relegation, and we had, until 4 games before the end of the season a small chance on a 3 promotion in a row. But in the end I'm very happy with our first season in the second division, and I'm glad that we didn't got promoted. We are not ready for the first division yet. At the bottom of the league there was a big upset, as Porto B got relegation after losing the relegation play-off Games 1 Games 2 Cup: We managed to get to the 1/8 final were BVT (Boavista) we too good for us. At the end of the season BVT lost the final of the cup against FC Porto League cup: we overperformed and reached the group stage were we lost and won a game. The 2nd position in the group earned us 100K price money Youth intake: At the beginning of the season we got ourselves a new HOYD. And it payed off. A very good preview followed be an even better intake. We got 8 players with the label "Elite"! This is the top-5 of the intake. Bernardo Egipto (YP3a): AMC Luis Amador (YP3b): MC Luis Quintino (YP3c): DL Ricardo Trigo (YP3d): AMC/AMR, will be trained as an AMR Ricardo Lopes (YP3e): DM/MC. Will be trained as MC Transfers: None Finances: Still in red, so no upgrades. I think they will be red until we reach the Premier disivion. Next season I will overhaul the team and give a lot of youngsters game time, as a lot of our first teamers are getting older/too old. So, when we will end next season mid-table I will be very happy.

SpS_Zen
Season 7-8-9 Season 7 was the roughest so far. After selling several key players during previous seasons, my team is full of promising but not yet good players. I found out that you can have odds 2000-1 I spent the season between 13th and 15th. 3-4 prospects look really good. I sold Nsoki 25b for 500k before the season started. He wouldn't renew his contract and i needed the money to improve the facilities Season 8 A quiet season between 9th and 12th. Youths improved, but it is too early yet to aim higher. It was the last season for the players from the original squad. YI is an other golden generation as every year. I sold Khuzwayo before the season started for 775k, he was the last of the 4 mousquetaires that bringed the club to Premiership. Season 9 First season with a squad only composed by newgens. A good start with my first semi-final in the league cup (between the 16 clubs of Premiership), then back to normal. At the end of the season, i feel we start to have enough quality to look higher. My main aim is to keep my best players and improve my facilities. Another golden generation with a hot prospect who will be in the rotation next season. Mdanstane 29b looks good for 17yo. Both facilities are being upgraded. It will be taken into account in the next report.

Koetzer
Ungmennafélag Njarðvíkur - season 2026 A tough season in the league, we never were close to defending the title and had to concentrate on other tournaments, but still managed to record a strong finish and take 4th place on the final matchday. Though it actually didn't matter anything in terms of European places, because… Iceland Cup – first game was the most difficult, we only advanced with a late penalty in extra time. But still we did better than most of the favourites which were knocked out at this stage, and I decided to make the cup our main priority. The decision was totally right, we haven’t conceded a single goal in next rounds, lifted the trophy and qualified for Europe! League Cup – we were much better in the final, played whole second half with a man advantage but this time luck was on KR side. Supercup – added to our collection as well, so now we won all the available domestic trophies. Kristjansson had to start in goal after Błąkała’s injury, becoming the youngest player in competition history, and recorded a clean sheet. Champions League – Sheriff was one of the strongest teams available in the first round and didn’t give us any chances. Conference League qualifiers – the champions route appeared to be quite easy, we won all six games and qualified to the group stage! Almost 3 million euros of prize money finally brought our balance above zero. Finished last as expected, suffered two heavy away defeats but managed to draw against Lille at home (scored a late equalizer after a corner) and got 4 points from CFR Cluj which actually left them without a playoff spot. Transfers – right-back Andresson was our all-time leader in league appearances, but wasn’t even a second option on his position while earning one of the highest wages. Squad stats – right winger Eðvaldsson was promoted to the first team after really impressive training performances, my assistant now values him as our second best player, along with right-back Sævarsson! The first is of course A.S.Þorsteinsson, though I'm not sure that we can keep him for more than one next season. Youth intake (preview) Óskarsson *26a | Magnússon *26b | Eðvaldsson *26c | Hjartarson *26d | Þorsteinsson *26e | Sævarsson *26f Mostly poor personalities, and the most promising player is another right winger when we already have two good youngsters on this position (probably will be retraining him as central midfielder). The training and youth facilities will be improved before the start of next season. Of course the European money played the biggest part in our profits, but the new stadium helps a bit too. Our ticket sales are now enough to cover all expenses during the season (though we are still losing money during longer off-season period).

Libertine13
Quick question... I'm having to sell one of my better youth products to a big club but they've offered to let him stay this season on loan. Is this alright for the challenge? I could really do with keeping him at the club for the season haha.
