Popular Post Ronaldo Beckham
I finally got the board to improve the Training Facilities Anyway onto the Season Review SC Toulon Season 11 Review I managed to stay up and I also exceeded expectations by getting a 12th position finish. Best Players Arnaud Mbappe(YP85) - 17 Year Old French Striker Mbappe has been amazing for me this season with 21 goals at 17 years old in the top French league is very good and he also had 9 assists. He has always improved in training as well. Clement Moulineau - 30 Year Old French GK Clement Moulineau aka Mr.Toulon has been ever present and an amazing player for the club. He overperformed this season and got the highest average rating. He was a big reason we did so well. Even at 30 years old he is still improving slightly in training. Guillaume Mendy(YP101) - 19 Year Old French Left Winger Mendy the master of assists with Mbappe getting 9 assists for the season and 5 goals. Also had a very good average rating. He has great Acceleration. Here is the rest of the squad Best Overall Starting 11 Accolades Moulineau got the Fans Player Of The Season and Mbappe got the Young Player Of The Season Transfers Finally moved into the new stadium as well. We have gone from 8,200 capacity to 15,000. Exciting times ahead Edited April 4, 2022 by Ronaldo Beckham

Yeah I have had the option to upgrade the youth facilities all the time but the board always rejected it as the finances were always too rubbish to upgrade the facilities. The new stadium was something the board done on their own without me asking. They did it cos the old stadium didn't adhere to the French Ligue 1 standards. That's what I thought, but figured I'd add the caveat just in case. Thanks @Ronaldo Beckham. Basically I'm just seeing if its worth playing another season for a 'chance' that it fixes itself, doesn't sound like it will.

Popular Post XaW
XaW - Follo Fotballklubb - Season 2022 - PostNord-ligaen Avdeling 1 Squad | Transfers | Finances So I'm back home again. When I took over the club, they had a fairly decent squad, but some of my old favourites like Ernest Rzepecki are not at the club anymore, in addition to that the club got poached a lot the first season! So I had a lot of unfamiliar faces to content with. In that regard we had a really strong season compared to the expectations. We contented at the top for the most of the season, but we had a bit of a bad spot a bit after half way. We caught back up though, and with a game left we had a great chance to reach the playoff spot. We needed to win away to Bærum in the final match, and at half time we were 1 up. Then we put in two more and the 2nd place looked like it was ours. Then we conceded a goal, and not long after we got a red card and were down to 10 men. I tried to change things up to keep the lead, but disaster struck and we conceded two more, the final one just at the death in 90+3! So we missed out, and I was gutted! Oh, so close to a playoff and a potential promotion, but no cigar. While it feels very weighing right now, it was a good season overall. Norgesmesterskapet: We beat Djerv 1919 before losing to top tier side Kristiansund in the 2nd round. U19 Team: They finished 3rd in the Norwegian U19 Oslo 1 division. Norwegian U19 Cup: They beat Brumunddal before losing to Lillestrøm in the 2nd round. Player statistics (youths only): Most apps:Yngvar Thun 22g - 22(1) appsBjörn Pehrsson 22a - 6(14) appsHassan Al-Madina 22c - 5(1) apps Most goals:Björn Pehrsson 22a - 1 goalYngvar Thun 22g - 1 goal Most assists:Yngvar Thun 22g - 2 assistsBjörn Pehrsson 22a - 1 assist Average rating:Henrik Bjørnø 22b - 6.85Björn Pehrsson 22a - 6.82Hassan Al-Madina 22c - 6.75 Youth intake: Pretty happy with the intake, and since it comes before the season starts, I got to use quite a few of them. Olav Larsen 22f is a really nice and versatile player. Trophy cabinet None
Popular Post the_hdk
Camisas Negras Polonia Warszawa - Season 30/31 / Season 8 - League Third Championship for me and 5th for Polonia. We managed to win it despite many changes to the team this season. GOLDA left in beggingin of the seaosn to germany and got replaced by youngster WISNIEWSKI, who actually scored the winning goal making us champiosn this season so not a bad rookie year. Our Star Goaly (2x in Polish national team but no caps) KOWALCZYK got his min. fee amount triggered and went to Frankfurt for 5mln. He got replaced by really young ZAPYTOWSKI. MARCINIEC lost a star due to old age and got replaced by ZARADNY (name = capable guy). Saldy his potential stars got lower and lower and it looks like 2m5 stars is his max so high chance I will replace him next season. PUTON grew a star on loand out and replaced our old captain JAROSZ. He did really well and even won defender of the season. During Winter our LB's GRZELCZAK min fee got triggered by Dortmund and he left. By accident I clicked yes on loan back but I sent him back to Dortmund. See screens below. Overal we made 9 mln on transfers. We are swimming in money now with around 86mln in bank. Still cannot imporve youth facilities after the one off. In Cup we lost in QF to Pogon away. Not a bad run. Europe Very difficult group. We did manage to win at home from Bayern and Celtic and drew away Juve and Celtic. In Europe LEague we lost in first round rith away from PSV Eindhoven. Youth Crazy intake. 7 Elites! and all 7 have potential to make 1st team. Amazing stuff. Sadly again no foreign intake! Below I have included two of the most promising players. Another GRZELCZAK. Thankfully we sold the old one to decrease confusion for me. 2 stars! He stars only halve a star behind our 1st goaly with bigger potential. Lets see how he develops but I might see him in first team within a season or 2. The Crow (technically magpie but that is less intimidating)! With that name he must be destined for greatness. Decent speed, determination and ok work rate. Bad finishing. With some work he can grow into class. I'm starting to lose interest in the save as i'm in middle of grinding years. I really need foriegn intake to make it more interesting but my chairman really doesnt want a new affiliate club.

DazRTaylor
2 hours ago, ANGL said: @DazRTaylor How do you label your newgens? Is it year + letter + number? Just curious about it YP = Youth Player. 22 = Year they came through the academy, F = Numbered newgen from that years intake. 15 = Total number of newgens to date in the entire save. So, for example. If it was 2029 and I received my intake, then it may be YP29G107. So he would be a Youth Player, who came through in 2029, was the seventh player of that years intake and the 107th player through to date in that save.

Daddy
2022-23 Season Review: The goal was to survive and that was accomplished fairly comfortably. The biggest challenge was the thinness of the squad with the brutal schedule. A lot of games started with the whole team wrecked. Led to some injuries, but not enough to ever make it look like the team was at risk of falling off completely. Reed was an absolute beast for us, along with a Defender that scored 11 goals! 2023 Youth Intake: Just needed bodies and bodies were delivered. I had one legacy player retire in the offseason and I have another that is probably nearing (37 yrs old), and I'm fortunate that one of the best players from this intake (Y23D) looks to be ready to at least competently fill that role. 2023-24 Season Preview: Thankfully the squad inherited was pretty tailor made for the system I like, and adding more depth from the intake gives me optimism that we would be able to improve upon the previous season. Unless it's one of those years where everyone beats up on each other I don't see a run towards playoffs or anything, but I think inching closer from 16th to around 12ish.
Popular Post libbyshuss
Italy Novara FC Serie B 2032/33 (season 11) Season Summary A record breaking season! For all the wrong reasons! We were favourites by far to finish bottombut I was confident we coud spring some surprises and the first 7 games of the season proved me right as we won 3 of them and got two creditable draws. We then went on a run of 6 without a win, but we drew 4 of them so I wasn't too worried. Then we went away to Ascoli and got a decent win and were happil sitting mid-table. then this happened:- a record 22 Serie B games without a win!!! By the time we won again there were only two games left and we were already relegated. I have no idea where that terrible run came from. Sometimes we were unlucky but often we were just completely outplayed I'll be honest, I'm finding it really, really difficult in Italy. No idea why but it seems much harder than anywhere else I've been. I'll keep plugging away and see where it goes. If I can make it it'll be all the sweeter! Players So this is something that annoys me. The day we get relegated (8 EIGHT!) of the first team came to see me saying how unhappy they were at being relegated and asking for moves. Like who's fault do you think it is we got relelgated??? Honestly, footballers today. Take some responsibility!!! Look how bad they were. and they think they deserve a move? To be fair, Isoldi 29A probably does. easily our best player and to finish with a 7 average rating in that binfire of a side is pretty impressive. But I have him on contract for 2 years so he'll probably stay. Unles I get an amazing offer (£575k so far) Youth The only positive thing from a terrible season. A pretty good youth intake. Although their personalities are all a bit poop.... Finances and Upgrades I can't even take the money as a consolation prize. The increase in money from Serie B from Serie C is minimal. So we're still loads in debt and miles away from an upgrade. And I still don't have the option for a youth facility upgrade, not that I'd get it even if it was there Career Can we get back out of Serie C? Will I have the patience to try? How have I not been sacked already? The Marbella board sacked me when it was nowhere near as bad! I'm still a bit bitter about that, that save was shaping up so well. One little blip and the board got itchy trigger fingers! At least the Novara board have a bit more belief. Maybe I owe it to them to give a real try! I mean, I don't really, they're not real. But in my head I need to repay their faith!
Popular Post DazRTaylor
Youth Candidates Season 2027/28 Amsterdamsche FC The preview promised four good players: Which I got, plus more. I am delighted with this intake.
Popular Post DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2027/28 Amsterdamsche FC Season Summary A very tough season where we flirted with relegation for most of the campaign. Season Details League Table - An eighteenth place finish was very disappointing. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - It took until the twelfth game before registering our first win and we continued to struggle for the entire season. TOTO KNVB Beker - A very tough draw away to top flight NAC Breda, combined with another poor performance, eliminated the club at the first round stage. Friendlies - It was a good pre season campaign which gave me a false sense of security for the year ahead. We also did well in the morale boosting friendlies I organised during the season. Squad - Our players have just stopped developing. Squad Dynamics - Considering our struggles, I am delighted with this. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - Two youngsters left on loan to gain some much needed experience. Youth Candidates - It was our best intake to date with players such as central midfielder Rayane El Joumani YP28A51 looking like a fine prospect. Finances - We lost quite a lot of money this year so our bank balance is becoming a real worry. Key Players Tim Linthorst - The veteran centre half has found time is catching up with him. Splinter de Mooij - The performances of the central midfielder have continued the decline that started last year. Tuana Özdemir - The Turkish goalkeeper had his busiest campaign to date and sometimes, he was just found wanting. Guus van Weerdenburg - The left back took a giant step backwards this season. Quincy Kluivert - The right back, son of Patrick Kluivert, had a decent enough campaign though is leaving at the end of the season. Next Season Anything other than survival will be a huge bonus. Popular Post Sn00gle
Ruch Chorzów - 2028/29 Squad - League - Finances - Transfers That was long season as I literally played few matches per few days and as well of course we play in Europe so the schedule was very long. In Europe we manage to reach nice success would say. We bet AZ in first round then in second we go easy with Spartak Trnava to face 1.FC Slovacko and in crazy matches bet them. Then we went into would say easy group for us and I was sure we will get 2nd place which we got in the end. In knockout stage we bet suprislly Panathinaikos and were rected by Bayer in 2nd round In Polish Cup we lost in 2nd round with Lechia which won actually league so that was the hardest opponent we could get there. In league again middle table 8th place. The success allowed us to get first foreign intake froum our fedder club's. From Waterford we got Mr. White and from Hoogstraten Mr. Pauwels. Hi guys good luck. We got 3 players worth mention GK Ciuberek which for unknow reason went straight to u21 team for u21 Word Cup with my 3rd goalie on loan.. (why to call a main goalkeeper lol), ST Świderski and DC Cimochowski. Wont lie they look very good and Im sad that even with 5 stars potential Belgium DC look soft... Anyway in next season we have cash in bank, no Europe, some time to rise players and hopelly we manage get back to Europe. Ah and I removed tags. Dont ask why I don't know. Popular Post RJLHJ
Kingstonian FC Vanarama National League 2023/24 Season Summary Well, we mananged it; we didnt get relegated! It literally came down the last game of the season. We had a terrible run of games in the middle of the season and couldnt get out the bottom 4 but afine run toward the end of the season see's us to live to fight another day in the National League. Players The new boys come straight into the team. Its been tough going in the NL and we havent managed to rotate as much as we'd have liked. Ive got high hopes for this group thought next season as we seem to have settled on a better tactic. We just need to try and keep hold of everyone! Youth Intake This was good for me, we badly needed that extra cover in midfield and the 2 boys have slotted stright into the XI. Heres hoping for more of the same. Finance We had to move stadiums, with a bigger capacity so i was hoping for bigger gates. Unfortunately, our form just didnt attract the crowds. The balance is half of what we had last season but least its still in the green. Career Round Up Edited April 6, 2022 by RJLHJ
Popular Post Winski
End of season 2029/2030 (season 8) For the second time in a row, and the third time in my career, we became Champions of Poland!! I can now safely say that we are now one of the biggest clubs in Poland. In the Champions League we qualified for the Group Stage. But there we lost every single match. Against very, very tough opponents, I have to say. However, I'm losing interest in this save as well. Don't know why exactly. I tried different saves in the meantime (Germany, Iceland, Italy for example), but I keep coming back to this one. And after some games I found it boring. But look at our facilities and our affiliated clubs: So I can't really complain about our progress. We got everything to be a very succesfull club, but still I'm a bit bored. So I don't know if I will continue this save. However, this was our last youth intake: Spoiler So yeah, I'm thinking about what I want to do now. There are so many clubs/countries I want to try this challenge. But I'm now at a point with this club that I almost maxed out our facilities, so it's just a matter of time until we can win some silverware in Europe. What a dilemma....
Ronaldo Beckham
SC Toulon Season 12 Youth Intake As always a stellar youth intake this season. Again another intake with 90% French players but I got 1 Malagasy(Madagascar) player. Here are some of my Elite talents. Aymeric Clerc(YP133) - 15 Year Old French Striker Clerc has excellent Determination, Aggression and Technique so I might have myself the new Luis Suarez/Diego Costa. A powerful skillful striker who will occasionally get booked/sent off cos he is too passionate. His Unambitious personality needs to get sorted out quickly though. Roland Mbenza(YP134) - 15 Year Old French Striker Mbenza who is French but could also play for Congo is another great striker coming through the youth ranks with good Passing, Technique and Crossing I would say he is more suited on the wing so I might retrain him as a right winger. He also has a nice Balanced personality. There isn't any other players that really stand out so I wont post them in this post but if they start progressing I will. Talking of progressing here is a screenshot of my 2 x Central Defender prospects who have massive potential and already become first team regulars this season. Marc Ruffier(YP123) - 16 Year Old French Central Defender Ruffier has been basically ever present this season forming a nice defensive partnership with other top prospect Ducasse. Ruffier has a value of £38-£47m and he is only 16 years old. A future French national team international definitely. I just hope he stays with us for a few years at least. Hugolin Ducasse(YP124) - 16 Year Old French Central Defender Ducasse suffered a Double Hernia and was out for 4 weeks or else he would of played every game this season as well. Him and Ruffier have formed a great partnership. Ducasse has the potential to become a World Class player and already nearly there at only 16 years old. With a value of £30-£51m I will make a massive amount on him if I ever have to sell him but ideally I want to keep him and Ruffier together for the rest of my journey. Mbappe continues to get better and better with 17 goals and 5 assists so far this season. The only issue is that he is outgrown the club and at the moment he wont sign a new contract cos the club doesn't meet his expectations. His contract only got 14 months left so I am in a dilemma what to do with him. Do I sell him on with a % profit clause or do I wait and hope he signs a new contract and run the risk of losing him for nothing with no potential fee clause. Anyway here is a screenshot of the great man.
DazRTaylor
I am at a crossroads. In short I am demoralised. FM22 is doing my head in. I am finding it nigh on impossible to develop players. They just don’t improve. Yes the very occasional player does but on the whole they don’t unlike previous versions of the game. I love this challenge primarily because developing your own players is the most rewarding part of this game. If they don’t develop what is the point? lewis1792
SPARTANS FC SEASON 2022/23 REVIEW A successful first season in the league system for Spartans FC. We took our brand of attacking high risk high reward football to everyone in the league, and had a ferocious start, a decent middle then a horror end to the season, meaning our 6th place finish was just deserved. The players did seem to get very tired towards the end of the season and struggled to hold on to leads and see out games. Hopefully we can work to retain the most physically capable players coming through the youth system to improve this over time. Another highlight of the season was our fantastic run in the Scottish Cup due to a very favourable run of matches against sides in our division. We ended up losing to top flight Livingston in the quarter finals on penalties which was heartbreaking as a semi final at Hampden against Celtic lay in waiting which would've been a huge boost to the finances. However, it wasn't to be! Exciting stuff on the youth prospect front, our Edinburgh based academy has already started to bring through a few players who will surely go on to play at a higher level than this. integrating a few of them into the first team started straight away. Highlights include Todd Gilchrist , striker who looks to be a long term replacement for star man Blair Henderson, as well as Mikey Wringe already a great AMC option, Keigan Mason, a flexible option right across the back line and David Donnelly who we are retraining as an MC due to his poor pace but decent passing and vision. Other notables who will be making the jump to the first team squad are - Michael Mack, Dean McConnell, Brad Duthie Best XI - This shows the absolute importance of to our season with his 34 goals. Luckily we have tied him up for another 3 years by which point he will be getting into his 30's, so we can get a few more good years out of him. Transfers Finances - We finish the season up on last season in terms of finances, this was due to the prize money on our cup run. The board have been kind and invested this into our junior coaching budget, showing their commitment to the project.

I love this challenge primarily because developing your own players is the most rewarding part of this game. If they don’t develop what is the point? it gets doubled when you finally get a team to the brink of glory and then your youth facilities bug... I can't say enough how bummed I am about my Slovenia save. I guess I shouldn't be surprised development is so fickle, they made a big deal about their new deadline day and just transfers in general. It follows then that they made it harder to develop your own youth talents to push you to scout the world to find those few exceptions who actually develop to build your world class team. This, coupled with the massive effect first-team playtime has now on development, means you need a good affiliate / league to be able to loan out to for players you can't get 50%+ game time. I really think this has really hampered my development in Slovenia as they can't play professionally until 17, and there's no youth league for my team (never got added to the small single youth league). Then, when they are 17, the domestic loans don't seem to help much due to how lowly rated our 2nd division is. So I have to wait till they are 18 to send them to an international affiliate losing 2-3 years of potential first team development experience I was able to get in Belgium. I took a few years off buying new FMs so I'm coaming from FM19 and its been a massive difference.
Novafluff
Season Review 2027 League | Transfers | Finances | Facilities | Youth Intake Last years youth intake really showed its impact this season! We were fighting for promotion the whole season but got the shortest straw in the end. From being some of the worst goalscorers to 2nd in the league shows were we really improved. Our best goalscorer being from last years intake and same with best assists and as well the best goals+assists. This years intake were on average a really good one as most of the people were 2 stars and up. The best one being Björn Bergstrand, He will create a really solid defense pair with Milan Filo. Have to give a shout out to Dino Lantz for having an amazing first season being retrained to a striker Next year we go for promotion and hoping for a really nice intake as we manged to upgrade our JC and YR once again. Most Goals: (05-J) Erik Lundberg: 13 Goals | 26(0) Games Most Assists: (05-I)Fabian Ottosson: 11 Assists 24(0)Games Best Average: (01-A)Milan Filo: 0 Goals | 0 Assists | 7.60 Average Top Prospect: (05-B)Dino Lantz: 12 Goals | 6 Assists | 7.55 Average
Ronaldo Beckham
SC Toulon Season 12 Review I have made some significant progression with SC Toulon this season with us finishing just 3 points short of a European football. Next season's aim is to get into Europe. I managed to get a 9th place finish which is SC Toulon's highest ever league position and the lads have done me proud. The Best Players Arnaud Mbappe - 18 Year Old French Striker King Mbappe was amazing this season with 26 goals and 8 assists. Also a great average rating of 7.66. He has been a pleasure to watch mature and become a great player. The only annoying thing is that I haven't been able to convince him we can match his ambitions so I think he will be going in the summer as I would rather get some cash and a good % future fee then lose him on a free. I have both Milan clubs come with a £7m offer and 40% profit of his next sale. I am sad to see him go but I understand his ambitions are greater then ours. I already have a ready made replacement striker for Mbappe in 18 year old Mamadou Doumbia. Mamadou Doumbia(YP109) 18 Year Old French Striker Doumbia who managed to get 16 goals and 11 assists this season is more then capable of filling the void left by Mbappe. I wish I could of kept both of them for a few more seasons but Doumbia should do better now the spotlight will be more on him. Here is the rest of the squad Best Overall 11 Accolades Mbappe managed to get the Fans Player Of The Season and also the Young Player Of The Season awards. He really has stepped up this season. Any club will be lucky to get him. Mbappe also managed to break the most goals scored in a season with 26 goals scored. I think it will be a while before I get a player who beats that record. Ronaldo Beckham
I have managed to get the board to improve the training and youth facilities again which will help me unearth the next Mbappe again lol. Here are the current facilities My aim is to try get the facilities maxed out asap. I already have junior coaching and youth recruitment maxed out at least.

Popular Post WhiteCat33
AFC Knowsley Season 7: 2028/29 NW Counties League Premier Division [Tier 9] Performance Pretty much identical end result this year from last year with the exception of making it to the final of the league cup. Here I wasn't paying attention to card accumulation and got my star CAM and star BPD both suspended in the final league match of the season so they couldn't play in the game. Even with our star striker getting a hat-trick our leaky defense cost us an extra time 3-4 defeat against a mid-table opponent we should have easily been able to dispatch. FA Cup - the big disappointment here is we had all away games with teams who don't get anyone to the games, so instead of having sell-outs in our own stadium like last year we played to half empty ones as the visitor. Because of this the club made probably 2/3 of the income for the whole year as last year. League - here I just want to show the xG table to indicate what the true issue is for the team: Defense. I don't think I've ever had an xG miss like this with us letting in +19 goals in a 40 game season... Squad The amount of underperformance by our defense cannot be overstated. We have arguably the best functioning offense in the league scoring the 2nd most goals, but have a bottom half defense ranking 14th on goals conceded. Our striker Jason Matli 04k had 37 goals in 47 starts showcasing a true consistant goal production, and he was supplemented by 4 Attacking Midfielders who all had 13-17 goals with Storbacka 02a our playmaker having an amazing 22 assists to go with his 15 goals. On a player level our CAM Storbacka 02a and Striker Matli 04k are basically top in the league for their respective rolls. Storbacka 02a has: Most Assists, Most Key Passes & Most Chances Created in the league. Matli 04k had 2nd most goals and top 5 average min per goal, and shots on target. One of the big issues with our defense IMO is our GK core. Here is a comparison between my starting GK and my 2nd best option Pretty sure my current is still the ‘better’ choice. Gaffney 06c is last year’s intake and he has Decisions & Reflexes, while my current has handling, Positioning, Physicals and Rushing out. Both are dreadful at 1v1 and have bad mental attributes, but Green at least is getting closer to okay top 3 GK attributes AR, COA & Comm. This joker is this year’s ‘A’ GK, who is barely worth even signing on the youth contract I did. Hopefully the new LB and some changes to my formation to shore us up more defensively will help us conceed less, but without improvements to my GK and just general defensive talent I can see us languishing in this league for years. At least I know my formation can create opportunities so we get lots of highlights in matches... Transfer Youth Academy YI Preview Youth Intake: Still all Elite Talents so not worth showing the screen, but man they are bad. Honestly not sure if any will be improvements, and that’s saying something. According to my Coaches this is the highest rated player… he is not very good. He just has natural fitness, and slightly aggressive and slightly good speed, but everything else is 8 or lower. Sadly though, my fullbacks are so bad he might actually be an improvement with these stats, especially if he develops. If I had to choose one, maybe this CAM would be my pick? I tend to prioritize mentals more than the coaches especially at this low level and physically he’s not glacially slow so that’s something. And with his personality this half polish player could be an acceptable AMR if he develops okay I took a couple more who had good personalities and would sign youngster $7p/w contracts for a total of 6. Looks like I need to count on my current players to get promoted as the youths coming through aren’t very helpful. Club & Manager Improvements Acquired a Cont. C License Convinced to do a bigger recruitment & Academy even though we are broke, so that’s positive Excel
Popular Post dkouv
Sant Andreu – Season 12 (2033/34) La Liga OK, what on earth happened here? We were in a proper title race with Barcelona until March, at which point the wheels fell off a bit and we slipped down to 5th. A late surge from us alongside a mini-collapse from Barca gave us a chance of the title with 1 game remaining: we were 3 points and 3 goals behind (level on head-to-head), so an unlikely loss for them and 2+ goal win for us would do it. Barca actually lost 2-1 to Osasuna, but we proceeded to blow it to go 1-0 behind at Eibar, only to rescue the win with a 93rd minute winner but without the needed 2 goal cushion. Or did we? Well, no, we actually won the title! How? Turns out Atletico sneaked up on us to finish level on points with us and Barca, so we went into some kind of weird 3-team mini-league which put us first despite having worse GD than Barca. Go figure… I still can’t - I counted that in the mini league we would have had 7 points each with Atletico, same GD as them, and Barca would have 4 points. So after that it must have gone down to total GD, but just between us and Atletico? Anyway, it doesn’t really matter, we won the league and with it got through first part of the challenge. More excitedly though, after the league win the board let me upgrade youth facilities. Woohoo! So was that what they were waiting for? A demanding bunch, they are. Honestly, it's kind-of sad that I was more excited about this than the league win... ))) Europe We got Liverpool and Bayern in our CL group again. What are the chances! Well, probably higher than the chances of us winning the league in that manner on the last day… Anyhow, we actually did well against these two and would have qualified had we not blown our games against lowly Slavia Prague (1 point from 6), so down into the Europa league we went. Here, again, we had an absolutely mad game in the quarters, beating Southampton with two 120th minute goals (yes, so we were 1 goal down on aggregate until the 120th minute, then scored 2 to win it without going to penalties). We then actually managed to go on and win the whole thing! So a double this season. Players: Ivan Deniz 04b gets player of the season for scoring that 93rd minute winner which somehow gave us the title, and being our top scorer with 19. Ernesto Ebona 06i and Muhammed Badjie 03b are in for getting a 7.4 average rating each in defence, and Manuel Ristori 02c is in for scoring that 120th minute double against Southampton. A team of heroes does sound kind-of cheesy, but given the number of late comebacks this year these guys are really putting 1990s ManUtd to shame. Youth intake (preview): More good news. I know my coaches are rubbish at judging talent, but four 5* prospects at this stage of the game is really great. I am most excited about Nieto 12c and Poch 12d, since we could really do with some reinforcements in central midfield. Popular Post libbyshuss
# Italy Serie C 2033/34 (season 12) Season Summary Back where we started from! We had a cracking start, going unbeaten in the first 6 and only losing once in the first 14. We were top! but Piacenza were a different class and after beating us they started pulling away. We had our best season in Serie C yet but still only enough to qualify for the play offs Into the pay offs into the third round, where we easily got past Verbonese. The quarter final saw us play Crotone. We won the first leg at home 2-0 when this happened in the away leg I couldn't believe it! 1 goal up and coasting with 86 minutes gone only to collapse and let them get the three they needed to send it to extra time. We recovered well though thankfully. So the semi-final was against Ternana, who we had beaten in the final two season ago. Could they get revenge? Well, very nearly yes, but we squeaked through 2-1 on aggregate. So our second ever Serie C play off final! This time against Allesandria, who were an unknown quantity to us. It was a close final but.... sooo..... another season in Serie C it is..... Players So the big news is that we did get an offer for my best player Isoldi 29A and sold him. for 1.2m and a nice 50% future fee. Most of the peeps i've sold on have done nothing so he'd be the first. I have high hopes for the lad, let's see. So, stepping up were this sorry bunch of nothings Most pleasing thing was Colaianni 30A on left wing. I lost my previous winger on a ridicuously low relegation release clause so he got his chance. 24 goals and 16 assissts later it's far to say he took it. Looks like Paesanti 26C is my very own Mitrovic as well. 32 goals in Serie C after a measly 7 in Serie B FInances and Upgrades Even after getting 1.2m in for Isoldi we still conspired to end the season 1m in the red. Where's the money in Italian football? Not in Serie B or C it turns out. But while we were riding high, or the board were high, I did manage to get this approved:- But then our training facilities got downgraded so.... Career So, can we ever get out of Serie C? I've been pretty appalling in Italy and yet I've had about 6 offers from teams in Serie A. Unfortunately he hasn't had much of a chance at Inter yet with just 1 appearance coming off the bench but he seems to be doing well for their youth team with 7 goals and 4 assists in 12 games so far.
