Win both the Apertura and Clausura? I managed in Mexico in FM22 as part of a pentagon save, and loved it - really fun league, imo. I actually don't know. I think it's time to ask @XaW and @darren1983. To complete the challenge in Mexico, do we need to win both Apertura and Clausura for Liga MX and win CONCACAF Champions League? Or an alternative for a League Cup would be Leagues Cup?

Popular Post bjwphneb
2024/25 Season Review League | Graph | Fixtures 1 2 Cup | Squad Season Overview Well I wanted a better start to the season and the boys certainly delivered. We sat top of the table after twelve games despite the media predicting us to get battered each match. A betting man could have won some serious money backing us at the start of the season as we won 8 of our opening 12 as the underdog. This gave us a healthy cushion over the relegation places which despite being top was always the concern. The concern wasn't misplaced, in the second half of the season we secured the fourth fewest points which meant we came tumbling down as far as 15th before eventually picking ourselves back up to the top half with an 13th placed finish. Similar performance in the cups this year, managed one round better in the FA Cup but got knocked out in Q4 by Torquay United despite beating them 3-0 in the league a few weeks prior. The old guard performed well for the most part, Joe Taylor was joint winner of the golden boot with 29 and Deon Moore followed him up with 28 goals in the league, thankfully JT didn't have a golden boot bonus in his contract. Three of last years graduates cemented themselves as first team regulars, sadly because the current options in those positions were so poor rather than the young lads being so good. Either way it was good to get them in the team and see a little bit of early development. The first of the old boys, Mitchell Nelson, is leaving at the end of the season at 34 years old and steadily declining there's no future for him at Lewes as a player. Every other player is contracted until the end of next season but I will attempt to move a few on over summer as the performance of some hasn't warranted their wages. Youth Intake Another 5 Start preview which promised some defensive cover unfortunately didn't live up to the hype, a few decent players for the future but only really one who might be able to provide cover to the first team. Much better personalities across the board but typically the 'star' graduate is unambitious. Hopefully the perfectionist of a RW can develop quickly and I can get him in the team this season or next (NB: As I've typed this I've seen he's dropped down to Realist now so perhaps not). The current CA of the first team means they only need to be a 2* to get regular first team football (our 4.5* players are only 'Decent' or 'Good' VNS standard players). 2024/25 Academy Graduates Top Prospects Simon Sargent 02a | An unambitious CB, slightly better than last years crop of CBs but with 4 determination I'm not expecting anything special from him. Jonny Dowling 02b | A third RB in two intakes. He's only 5'7 which is a concern so he might be better suited to RM Frank Meaney 02c | With a name like Meaney I was expecting 20 aggression, he probably looks the best of the bunch and I'm impressed with his mental attributes but the boy runs like he's in custard. Greg Rosser 02d | He's only 15 but is a 5'11 CB (I don't think newgens can grow right?) He's a bit of a better runner and has excellent mental attributes so who knows maybe there's a future captain at BWM hiding away in there. Other Updates + Next Season Spoiler Managed to complete the National C licence in the off season and I'm now working towards my National B. We've also finally had a request accepted so are seeing our Recruitment bumped up to a Basic level. Rob Swaine's (HOYD) contract is up this summer and I'm tempted to shop around mainly because in two seasons only one player has come in that can actually run. Saying that with an improvement to recruitment I may wait another 12 months as his attributes are better than most available. I think we'll probably be tipped for relegation again so could be in for tougher season than last. JT fell off massively in the back end of the season so doubt we'll see as many goals from him. The rest of the team is in that prime age range of 26-31 so they should be able to maintain their performance levels for a few more seasons. I was able to renew players on reduced terms which was a bonus but there's still a couple that it would be good to get off the wage bill soon. Edit: Had a few job offers from League One Crawley Town and National League Aldershot Town so maybe the board will be a bit more willing to accept my requests. Daddy
2025/26 Midseason Update: Despite the board letting two players go for offers that were "too good" things are going well. I don't mind selling players but at least have it be for some real money. We've dropped a few attainable points but then always come back and win a few after that. The last couple seasons it would lead into a mini funk, so that's a good sign. As long as we don't get raided for transfers I think there's a real chance to get promotion. Intake Preview: I know these are kind of a meme at this point, but holy hell that looks promising.

VinnyChilds
Season 2023/24, Part 1 or: "There ain't half been some clever ba**ards" The Season So Far: Spoiler An outstanding start to the season saw us six points clear after ten games. A run to the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup saw the fixtures pile up before we eventually exited to Southend United after an ill-tempered replay, and were left counting the suspensions and nursing the fatigue. Despite our youth candidates from the previous season featuring more and more - mainly from the bench - we lasted until the 15th league game before tasting defeat, getting sucker-punched in the 91st and 94th minutes to lose 2-1. Despite that, form generally holds together into the festive period, and we reach the halfway stage nine points clear of the chasing pack. The press are getting a bit over-familiar though... We continue trying to blood our existing youth when we can, which is increasingly frequent as suspensions, injuries and fatigue pile up. As the warning of expiring contracts comes up, we play safe and give everyone new three-year deals. but then Agyemang decides that same night to retire at the end of the season. I try to have a word with him, watch this space... Generally though, it's a happy camp! Youth intake preview and club building: Spoiler My efforts thus far to convince the board to level up have fallen on deaf ears I've now completed my first step on the coaching ladder, holding a National C licence The new kids can't come quickly enough, but I take the "Golden Generation" tag with a shovel of salt given the paucity of our facilities

Popular Post schnauzer
Dorchester Town FC - Season 3 (2024 / 2025) Review - Vanarama National League League Performance Ah man that was horrible, possibly the least fun season I've ever had playing this game! Sadly, we are relegated in last place. As predicted, getting promoted in just 2 years with a pretty poor squad made it a near impossible task to stay up. However, that we only ended up 7 points off of Scunthorpe and safety is a small sense of pride for us, and many of the teams around us - Scunthorpe, Barnet, Newport County, Oldham and Torquay - all have recently been in the Football League, so we probably shouldn't be too downhearted. We simply gave up in too many games that we held a winning position. We also took some absolute beatings towards the end of the season as morale crashed hard, hence the -42 GD! Of our 10 wins, 6 came against 3 different sides, as we did the double over Barnet, Oldham and Newport County. We actually beat Newport County 11-1 on aggregate - a shame that we couldn't play them every week! Fortunately, the board have renewed my contract and I have another 2 years to stabilise and rebuild. We got upgrades to youth recruitment, junior coaching and our youth facilities, so hopefully it should be a case of 1 step back and 2 forwards in time. The biggest difficulty I now face is 4 of my most important players - Alfie Stanley, Harvey Bertrand, MJ Kedman and Tom Purrington - have all said that they want to leave after the relegation. All but Kedman (1 year left) have at least 2 years on their contracts, so given that I haven't made any promises I think that I should be able to ride it out and hope that they drop it! The goal next year will be to sort the team morale out, progress our youngsters further and hopefully push for the playoffs. FA Cup - Very poor as we lost over 2 legs to Maidenhead (in the VNS, the league below) in the 4th qual. round where we entered the competition. FA Trophy - Again, losing in the round we entered the competition (3rd round) as Billericay beat us 2-1 at home. Squad - Pretty poor all round. I used to be able to rely on Purrington but he was not good at all this year despite the reasonable average rating. Kedman was awful and if I had some actual competition for him I'd be tempted to sell him. Shayne Haines (Y0) also needs a mention for getting 17 yellows and 2 red cards in just 32 league games! On the other hand, there were some young players that established themselves in the first team as Roy Welsh (Y1), Faton Hysa (Y1), Wes Wright (Y1), Scott Ford (Y2), Jesmond Micallef (Y2), Qudus Gilmore (Y2) and Xavier Angell (Y2) all played lots of minutes. Players of the Season 1. Alfie Stanley - Even though he had a huge dry spell in front of goal and now wants to leave, it's hard to look past him being our best player this year with 21 goal contributions (15G, 6A). 2. Scott Ford - A breakout season in his first full season! Solid at centre back and scored 3, assisted 5 given he has a great free-kick on him. 3. Harley Wilkinson - Despite rotating initially with young Wes Wright, Wilkinson was brilliant at the end of the season and was picking up consistently over 7.00 match ratings which is no mean feat for a goalkeeper in FM. Rookie of the Season (1st full season) Jesmond Micallef - This would have been Scott Ford but he ended up in the top 3. Micallef performed reasonably well and progressed his attributes quite nicely and got capped 4 times for Malta under 21s. Youth Intake - Pretty good overall (all over 4 & 1/2 star potential), but as you can see we finally have a potential star player developed through the academy! Miquel Hunte is just what we needed and should do very well next year in the level below. Also attached Owen Dryden and Aaron Western who look like they could be okay. Transfers - Thiago Cazé sadly finally departs us to return to his native Brazil as he had become a bit past it at 35. He played 149 times for us in the league in total! Finances - We finally had enough in the bank to upgrade the youth facilities! Almost £350,000 in total, meaning our financial safety blanket is gone. However, wages are still very low and attendances grew last year so we should be okay, even if our youth set up is costing quite a lot now. We might need a decent player sale in the next few years though. Other Updates - I got my National A coaching license but the board refuse to allow me to do the next "in case a bigger club comes in". Still yet to see what the youth facilities level will be after the upgrade but I'm hoping it at least goes from 'basic' to 'below average'. We also have the scary uncertainty of the chairman looking to sell the club... League Finish History Y22/23 - VNS - 7th - 75pts, Y23/24 - VNS - 1st - 92pts, Y24/25 - VNL - 24th - 38pts Facilities Training Facilities - Average, Youth Facilities - TBC, Junior Coaching - Good, Youth Recruitment - Good. Average league home attendance & Number of Season Ticket Holders Y22/23 - 468 (104), Y23/24 - 507 (113), Y24/25 - 666 (169) Edited November 3, 2022 by schnauzer

Popular Post benrollo
Another evening with the Mrs away means more quality FM23 time! Might as well lead with the biggest story of the season - Kenan Bozic 24-1 is no longer a Zemun player. The board accepted a £1.3m offer from Partizan for him, and after turning down multiple contract offers from abroad last season, he decided to move just down the road to Belgrade. I drive out to his house some nights just to catch a glimpse of my beautiful boy. In other ex-Zemun player news, Nikola Cakic 26-1 was on the move again, this time joining Leipzig from Bayern for £19.5m! We got another £500k from the transfer, so cheers for that lads. Secondary to that news was the fact that we once again secured a top half finish. It was tougher going than last season - we only scored 23 goals in 30 league games, third lowest tally in the league. Safe to say we need to find someone new to score goals for us. Thankfully we were strong at the back, conceding the third lowest number of goals. Looking at our best performers, it's probably no surprise that our defenders came out on top. Ivan Pavlovic 27-11 (7.14 average rating) and Ranko Vojvodic 24-5 (7.00 average rating) were the backbone of our back line. Srdan Mihajlovic 27-6 (6.96 average rating) was third in terms of our regular starters. Honourable mention too to super sub Matija Tripkovic 27-4 (6.96 average rating) who actually scored some important goals for us, mostly off the bench. Stop me if you've heard this one before, but once again we were promised a golden generation in our youth candidates preview. And look at that - a 3.5* CA striker in the class! Could we have ourselves a Bozic replacement in the pipeline? Đorđe Petrović 31-1 Yes, we could! Đorđe showed us what he could do right from the off, tearing our under 19s apart in the youth candidates game. Some promising technicals for a 15 year old, but he does need some development. I play with a pressing forward so there are some attributes I'd like to see higher, but hopefully Đorđe can get there. Ivan Mitrović 31-2 Another attacking midfielder who needs a bit of work to slot into the starting lineup. A long way to go, but my assistant seems impressed. Milko Brkic 31-3 Needs training to play in a deeper role, but a really good starting point in some key attributes. We had 9 elite talents in all, although outside of Petrović they all need a lot of work. You can't get immediate starters every year though, so let's hope Dejan Kukolj 31-4, Radovan Đorđević 31-5, Aleksandar Andrejević 31-6, Loïc Capron 31-7, Saša Vujko 31-8 and Dušan Matič 31-9 can develop over the next few years. Off the pitch, we managed to make some progress. Our youth facilities were upgraded, and I have just managed to once again convince the board to spend all our money on another youth facilities upgrade which should get us up to Good. I have now completed my Continental Pro license, so I've basically completed the game. Here's how my career currently looks. I feel like we're relatively established as a mid table side now, so I would love to start seeing some progress towards that top 5. We did manage to beat Čukarički for the first time in my career last season, so that's at least one step in the right direction. ONWARDS!
Popular Post 15charactersmax
Hanvikens SK Season 4 (2026) Well it wasn't pretty but we survived. We flirted with the relegation places a bit too much for my liking. We'd go on runs of two or three good results, put some distance between us and the strugglers and then go on a run of 4 defeats and get dragged right back in. Thankfully we found some form and started to beat the teams we should have been beating after doing a few tactical adjustments, namely dropping our line a bit deeper as we'd developed that habit of letting teams carve through the middle of us. The league is certainly a big step up in standard for our young squad and we did ourselves proud in the end. A lot of development as a result of some good minutes for young players and we should be in better shape next season. Certainly not the 36 goals from last season this time for Alkatah who occasionally concerned me with prolonged dry spells in front of goal. He struggled with the physicality of defenders in this league and didn't get the same amount of good quality chances instead relying on strikes from distance. Nevertheless he topscored and didn't give me any reason to replace him. Amar Lindberg is developing nicely and can be considered one of our best players. I'd like to see a few more goals from him as his strength increases and he can become a greater aerial threat from set pieces. I was suprised that Johan Ogren was our highest rated player this season, he seemed to make the step up better than anyone else. He has some competition coming through in his position though. Another intake with good talent but littered with unambitious personalities. I think a change of HoYD might be in order. He has a professional personality but he's not really producing many players with the same or similar traits. Maybe I'm expecting too much and the options aren't exactly many. I'll have a look in the off season. Already rated 3 and 2 and a half star players Kabeya and Lundquist will go straight into the first team. Lundquist in particular is just what the doctor ordered and will hopefully form a good partnership with Lindberg. With those two in the team we will have a keeper and defence that are entirely regens which is a nice milestone. Next Season I Just want to stay up again. Obviously a nice midtable finish would be ideal but it's important to give game time to my youngsters with facilities being so poor. There's every chance however that we could get sucked into a relegation battle so I'll keep the old heads around to dig us out of trouble should we need them.

In my experience it's not uncommon to get down years from 4-6 as these are the first actual players your HOYD finds. Youth players are at the club for ~3 years, so it can take a few years for him to actually solidify his network. I know in my current save years 5 & 6 have been pretty underwhelming (especially from a personality perspective). I'll be giving my guy till year 8 till I start critically looking at what he's been producing.

If so, (bug aside) is there a link you could provide to show how to accomplish this? Never knew you could do this! (if you can) You create a new notepad document in the following directory; C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2023\data\database\db\2300\lnc\all You can call it whatever you want, mine is redditch name change.lnc, but you have to give it the .lnc extension at the end. (That's LNC). Then; #Names: "CHANGE_PLAYER_NAME" 2002173749 "Lindsay" "" "Cassidy 24d" Copy this string, the number is the unique player ID that can found by adding a column to your squad screen. Insert column > General > Unique ID. The first set of "" had the player's first-name in, the middle set are for a nickname (that's why it's empty), the last set is for surname. This is what mine looks like:
Popular Post russ the womble
(lovely badge) Eskilstuna City - Season 1 Finally things went right for once and I was able to actually get through a season without getting sacked Our board expected us to try and stay in the division, so it was quite a surprising and pleasing season when we spent most of it at the top end of the table. The title actually went down to the last game of the season, as E City (as the game uses as a short name) were ahead of Gute on goal difference going into the final game. Unfortunately we had two defenders suspended and the rest of the team did not turn up, resulting in a 4-0 defeat. Even so, a play off place for promotion was beyond expectations. The play off game was an absolute disaster as I went 3-0 down in the first half - their goalie decided to have a worldie and saved everything and they scored two from outside the box. Second half was one apiece and a red card for my star midfielder. Overall the stats suggest a harsh defeat. It would have probably been too early to go up anyway, but never a nice way of bowing out conceding 8 goals in the two deciders! We had a couple of good performers this year in Mans Saebbo up top: Spoiler And 5 star young player Muhammed Monieer Jarab was first name on the team sheet: Spoiler Team overall did not set the world alight in player ratings, so maybe a bit more development and they can grow into a title winning team over the next few years: Spoiler Youth signings look like a good bunch of lads. Filip Edvardsson could be a great player and can fit straight into midfield Spoiler Oscar Widen may take the Anchor slot Spoiler The other area of note is that after one season, finances have remained healthy and will hopefully be a net positive once pre-season income comes in. And no need for any stadium expansion costs as the new ground has had an average of 3% capacity. Next season expectations - avoid relegation. Should hopefully be doable! Daddy
The board approved all of these. If we wind up not getting promoted or more of the same I may bail on this one. Easily could have gotten better from them. I can't get mad for an overpay but these were not
