JusttJD
I don't know if this is alright, and I'll delete my message if it's not. (And, I won't do it regularly... Just normal end of season summary's after this one.) But, I wanted to show my first 3 months of the challenge in Belgium Most friendlies were against smaller teams, so the results are not that important. Dessel was the only opponent of status (Same league as me.) And, the first 2 cup matches were against were small teams as well. (Almost knocked out against KFC, but a late goal of Detienne saved me.) I am projected to end 16th in the division, and my selection clearly represents that. (And, will give a more detailed summary about my selection once I'm done with this season.) I decided to go with a simple 4-4-2 with a balanced mentality, and try to keep it simple for them. Strikers, I have enough. Midfielders, should be alright with that as well. But, with only one DR and one goalkeeper in my selection, I'm praying that they stay safe from injury's. I almost had a heart attack because I was 3-0 up against RC Harelbeke, but almost gave it away. (and, it would have been justified to lose that game... because we had 3 shots on goal, and they had 14...) Against OHL I got saved by a very late (undeserving) equalizer. Against Winkel Sport, it was pretty much the same story as the first game. We started of incredibly, but gave it all away in the second half and it would have been fair if we lost the game because they missed a penalty in the 92th minute.) Rupel, once again I was the worse team... but through some very clean counters, I managed to win the game. Against STVV for the cup, now that was just insane. They play a league above me and have players like Shinji Kagawa in their squad. I expected a heavy loss, but to my surprise we actually played a very good game. We kept each other even till 3-3, but after that we actually managed to win the match. 6th round will be against KV Mechelen, and I'm expecting a heavy loss there. And, I'm expecting that my luck will run out sooner or later in the competition as well. But, the points that we get now, I happily take them as my goal from the board is not to relegate. I hope that I'm able to promote through some magic, because that will surely help with the finances. They are already going into the red and it's expected to keep going down because of the financial bug. I'm just hoping that before it gets too bad, I can either make a transfer and earn some money or earn my place in the higher divisions. I'll end with an image of my player Mike Ebui. Stat wise, he is not even close to a star player in the competition and even one of the worst strikers in the entire competition. But, he seems to be on fire and I happily keep fueling it if that's possible.
Popular Post Winski
Jyväskylän Jalkapalloklubi (JJK)Season review Season 5 | 2027 League table | Finances | Facilities | Transfers |Youth intake|Affiliated Clubs| Club overview | Manager Profile Our third consecutive league title! I can safely say that we are now one of the best team in Finland. Only SJK can follow us. Even HJK isn't a threat anymore. They were fighting for relegation this season. A nice message in my Manager Timeline as well: on 30 May 2027 we played a match with academy players only. And I entered the Finland Hall of Fame. Best player this seaon was, by far, our striker Juha Eerola 24c. He scored 33 goals in total, together with 8 assists. With this in mind, the next message came as a total shock. Below-par performances? Poor run of form? Come on! Other good players this season were Alexandr Shavlokhov 25a, Arttu Leivonen(I found a real face picture of him), Tuomas Saarinen 23b(our GK who scored 7 goals), Fred Diakité 23k and Lauri Lindberg 25c. We managed to upgrade our Training- and Youth Facilities. Both of them are ready within the next monts. Europe As posted before, our European campaign started in the 1st Qual. Round of the CL. We managed to get into the Playoff Round, and lost against FK Qarabag. So we didn't qualify for the Champions League, but we did qualify for the Europa League League Phase.| We lost our first two matches against Valerenga and Frankfurt. The third match against Villareal was a 0-0 draw at home. We were very lucky, so it was a very welcome point. Youth intake The preview was a bad one, with only one A. So I had very low expectations about this intake. The intake itself was indeed not a very promising one. Only Mika Suoraniemi 27a looks like a very promising talent, but I got doubts about the others. We now have one foreign affiliate club (Braunschweig TSV Eintracht), so hopefully we'll get some German players in our intakes in the next seasons. This intake was without any foreigners. Spoiler EDIT: I forgot to mention that our U20-team won the Finnish U20 Premier League title for the first time! It was even the first time that my U20 team was invited for a youth league. Winski
Okay, just minutes after I wrote my Season Review I played a Europa League match against Young Boys. It was one of the best matches of JJK I have witnessed. What a match, what a result!

Popular Post officiallydeej
Chernomorets 1919 Burgas - 2032/33 Season # We did it! 10 seasons in and we finally secure our first Bulgarian EfBet League title. We did it the hard way with another atrocious start leaving us in the bottom half after 10 games. We hit remarkable form after dropping out of Europe, winning 11 and drawing 1 of our last 12 games, including a perfect 5 from 5 in the Championship group. Our last game was away the CSKA, and with Ludogorets and Botev still breathing down our necks we played out a nervy 1-0 win in which our 16 year old keeper saved a penalty in the 84th minute. Needless to say there were wild celebrations in my living room when he did! I was starting to think I'd have to refresh the team and challenge for the title with the next cycle of academy talents but really pleased to get this now. I don't expect to retain it as we now have enough money in the bank to afford a drop in order to bring our higher potential players through but with the top 5 teams so much better than everyone else I would think we should keep qualifying for Europe. Due to the coefficient being so high we'll enter the Champions League group stages next season for the first time without the need to qualify. We got through the first two rounds of the cup, including beating Levski 3-1 away before a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Beroe Stara Zagora in the Quarter Finals. The League path is always hard when not in a top nation and Lyon just proved a little too much for us. Although 6-3 looks bad we actually had a higher xG by nearly double but Lyon's higher quality players were just far more clinical. We started the group stage on fire and were joint top with Arsenal, Chelsea and Levski after 4 games. Things nosedived from there and we didn't win another game before limping out without scoring over 2 legs against Rennes. We don't seem able to perform in domestic and European competition at the same time, with our league charging coinciding almost exactly with our Europa League campaign starting to falter against Torpedo. As mentioned before we'll be in the Champions League group stages for the first time next season and I don't really expect too much (other than money!) at this stage in the team's development. My first ever entrant (on any FM) into the Next Gen list, with Anton Sulev going straight in at number one! His numbers are quite remarkable with 30 goals this season in just 22 starts as he displaced long term number nine and last remaining original player Dzhevizov mid way through his break out season. My assistant thinks he's almost at potential though so I'm not quite sure how the NxGn is scored as I don't see a young 200PA Messi here... Youth Intake Another really solid intake with four obvious top prospects including a much needed goalkeeper. One thing I have noticed (and really should have before now) is that in 10 seasons we have only ever produced two non-Bulgarians, both of which were Turkish with a Bulgarian second nationality. We don't even get players with second nationalities other than those two and I'm not sure if that will hamper my chances of pulling in top level regens from Western Europe or South America into the academy as we look to start trying to make a dent on Europe. I can only assume it's because Burgas is located right on the East Coast of Bulgaria and so far from other countries but even then it seems a little unusual to only see 2 part Turks in 10 years. The Europa League run more than doubled our finances and has set us up for quite a while. We are maxed out in everything other than youth facilities where I haven't been given the option for a few seasons and presumably won't until our reputation gets up to 4 or 5 star. I let a few more legacy youngster go who never quite broke into the first team, all with little add-ons in case they are later bloomers. Damyanov was here when I arrived and proved a good little player as we stabilised ourselves in the top flight, leaving us after almost 200 appearances and 40 league goals.

The league winners were 12 points ahead once the season wrapped up so it hurt less than the two previous capitulations. Player stats were fairly good. Last time, we got to the playoffs, where we won, but didn't got promoted. This time, we got all the way, but only go 2 points in the last 3 matches, but it was enough to secure the 1st place. One of the players, who developed and secured the 1st place was Helder Subtil, who got 26 goals. Next year will be hard for us, but we're nearly into the top level in Luxembourg, where we can get some money. We got amatuer again up to this season, but because of a takeover, a loan and a promotion, we got semi-pro again. The next season will be hard, not only because of the next level of football, but also because of the finances, where the new chairman got an loan, to get us in the white balance. Popular Post ludak
ND Dravinja Slovenske Konjice Season XIII Squad I Transfers I Finances Ok, so this has to be one of the weirder seasons I've had playing FM. If we look at the XG they should have 10 points less, and I should have 10 points more. What's worse is that we had a run of 20 games unbeaten in which Olimpija won 12 points more than us. We dominated the cup and won it with ease really! The qualifying path was more or less easy and we went on to the league phase which was really our goal. We almost had an all-Slovenian final, but Mura just couldn't beat Leicester. We sure are helping Slovenian football develop. Jevšenak Pavel Ribaljčenko Štrukelj Kocić Papež The star of our save has improved a lot in the last year, and should see at least 30 games next season. I love that he chose San Marino already and that Italy is out of the picture. That's all lads, now we have to try and fight in the Europa League which I think is a lot for us to take, but we'll see.
Popular Post Riebow
Sevlievo Season Review (29/30) League: The big breakthrough! We finished 4th and entered the Championship Group for the very first time. The gap with the best three teams is still quite big though, but I'm excited with the progress we're making. 4th is where we finished as well, but we did manage to beat Ludogorets for the very first time! Spoiler Cup: Knocked out in the 2nd round by Arda. I'm going to start prioritising the cup next season. With only 3 spots for European football through the league, winning the Cup might be my best chance in the short term. Transfers: Our first big transfer. Daniel Petrov (27 intake) left us for Juventus for 5M. How I'm going to replace him, I have no idea. Spoiler Intake: A decent intake with some sorely needed strikers and a nice fullback Spoiler Best of the bunch: Ivan Hristov Spoiler Best player: Mikki De Kruijk (29 Intake). He's still on a youth contract, refusing to sign a professional contract. At a certain point he was wanted by Real Madrid, so his potential could be enormous. Does anyone have any tips how I can convince him to sign a contract? It would really suck to lose him on a free. Spoiler Other: With the 5M of the Daniel Petrov sale, we were finally able to improve our facilities and we've gotten a new pitch as well.

Only 6 places in the league was safe for either a promotion, playoff or relegation. If we could get one of this places, i would be gald. But with 2 games left, we got the message, "FC Claravallis Clervaux got promoted to BGL League". I was kind of happy for the result, but i know, it gonna be a hard season the next one. First season at the top level. Maybe we can stay up, maybe we gets relegated, but let us see. If we wanne stay up, some of the new guys needs to step up, and 3 of them are going into the starting eleven (You can see them under best prospects). Popular Post JusttJD
Just finished my first season in Belgium with Union Namur. And, to say that it has been a challenging season would be an understatement. Let start with the competition result first. Spoiler We managed to promote to the second league, but only because our competition was even worse than we were. And only because we had 1 very good month after the break. Spoiler As you can see, January went quite okay. Every single game was still very close and we didn't manage to be the better team in any single of those games. In our 2-1 win against URSL Vise, we only had 22% possession. February was by far my best month of the season. Most of the games were still pretty close, but I felt like my team was growing and after the match against Winkel Sport we were even on top of the table. But, then March happened... My DR got injured, yellow card suspensions were piling up and I don't have the roster to replace any of them. In the final 3 games, I had to play with a DM as DR and striker as DL. Spoiler And, it's pretty clear that Mike Ebui had a very big part in this succes. 29 goals in 34 games, I would have never expected that. His stats are mediocre at best and pick nr.5 on this position. But, he has been rewarded with a new and better contract (Not that I have any choice, everyone gets a new contract. :P ) Spoiler The finances though. They are really starting to worry me. I only hope that I manage to promote one more time before the board decided to pull the plug. Spoiler And, these are the new games that should make that happen. I have no idea if this is good or not, because this is my first youth intake in 7/8 years. :P My only issue is that there are NO players for the right side of the field, a position that is already so thin! So, I'll likely have to re-train one of the talents for that. And, this is supposed to be the best one of them all. Spoiler His stats are pretty on par with Mike Ebui, so Esposito is definitely going to be a regular substitute. But, I am not looking forward to next season. This season was already tough and I had to depend on so much luck during matches. But, we are going to give it our all! Most likely with an even more defensive tactic.
Popular Post Daddy
2030/31 Season Review: We almost did it. We were in first for the majority of the season, but the team just ran out of gas down the stretch. My fear was we would get trounced in the Europa League and poor form would result in the league. Clearly, that did not happen as we finished 2nd and qualified for the Champions League - League Phase. As for Europe: A very fast start put us almost in a position to finish in the top 8. My fears were put to rest about poor form and we made it to the Round of 16 where we put up a good fight against a Bundesliga team but fell short. Well exceeded expectations. We also won the Domestic Cup! Great season of progress. We have a new wonderkid. Never had a goalie wonderkid I think. I basically have two more seasons of him as he's already trying to force a move. Lot of loans and a little clear out of players that aren't going to make it. Getting a stadium expansion already. Not sure why they built such a small new stadium. Youth Intake: I like this intake a lot because of the diversity of positions. Will really help with depth. 2031/32 Season Preview: Expecting a little more from us this year in the league, as the club's reputation is climbing up. I expect to finish somewhere in the Europe places spots. Will also keep hopefully pushing for our first league title. I advanced far enough to get the fixture draw. That's some stiff competition. Fortunately, two of the toughest are at home.
Popular Post libbyshuss
Catania - Italy - Season 2061/62 (!) Season Summary Again we prioritised the Champions League which very nearly went wrong at the very start. 3 defeats from our opening 3 games left us struggling to qualify, and an absolute battering at Chelsea set us back in all competitions for a few weeks. But we recovered well to qualify for the knockout stages. I was quietly confident going into that second leg against Liverpool with a 2 goal lead but I should have known better.... league suffered due to me resting players before the Champions League games and we were lucky to sneak in the top 4 truth be told. Those title winning seasons seem a long time ago now! Players Part of the problem is this is still a very young side I'm blooding in here. we won't be fully operational until at least another 2 seasons Giovanni Moscardelli 51A - hopefully he'll still be here cos he is insane right now. 43 league goals, his seventh season in a row with over 30 league goals, 58 goals in total. Ludicrously good. Plus I got these three.... Del Ferro and Ramos were officially wonderkids at 18, which was a lovely touch. They're already worth £60m plus and are gonna be insane in a couple of years. Hopefully La Rocca too Plus I got this little fella in the youth intake, courtesy of my affiliate club Maccabi Tel Aviv So I'm gonna keep ploughing on, if nothing else just to see how good these little youngsters can get. The best set of youth i've had so far in this save!
Popular Post Winski
Jyväskylän Jalkapalloklubi (JJK)European season 2027/2028 review Our European season was again a good one, we are really making progress. It all started in 2027 in the Champions League, where we lost in the Playoff against FK Qarabag. With this result we qualified for the Europa League. Here we grabbed a total of 13 points, which I'm very happy with. We had some nice wins against Young Boys, Servette, Shamrock Rovers and AEK. We qualified for the Knock Out Playoff Round, but here we lost against Rangers. They were just too strong for us. But overall I'm very happy with out progress. Some other nice news is that we found another foreign affiliate club. We now have a link with FK Viktoria Zizkov! A club I managed myself some months ago for this challenge. So it's really nice to have them as an affiliate club. They currently play in the 2nd Tier of Czech Republic, where they hold the 2nd place. So we now have a German and a Czech club; let those foreign players come to Finland! Last but not least: I made some new kits. We switched back to our normal home kit colours. And because of our grown reputation, we found a new sponsor in Spotify.
Popular Post jepze
Jepze - FC Claravallis Clervaux - Season 2031/32 Squad | Transfers | Finances | Supporters A holiday can help with playing a lot of FM, and that's what i do right now. My interest to the save had going to the roof (for now), and i have finished the first season in the top flight. It was a hard season, where we were fighting relegation the whole season. We lost our best player to a 4 tier club, but one of our new youngsters, Dagoberto Vilarinho, replaced him, and did a good job for us. On a point, we were in last place, 4 games later, we were out of the relegation playoff, but in the end, i'm happy to finish at 12th. I hoped for a good result against Jeunesse d'Esch in the last match, which could secure a garantied place in the next seasons BGL League, but we lost with 0-4. On the positive note of BGL league, we're making some more money, and a homegame against F91 Dudelange secured 120T DKK, which is more than the the monthly expenses. More of thise attendance would make the finances more stabel and we can begin to develop the club a bit. Competitions But first, we need to secure our place in BGL League. We played against Union Sportive Rumelange, who was relegated the season from BGL League, when we were in Promotion d'Honneur. So it was the first game ever against them. We were dominating the match the whole way through, and after 7 minutes, we had a 2-0 lead from 2 goals by our overall topscorer, Helder Subtil. After 76 minutes, our replacment for our best player, Dagoberto Vilarinho, stepped up, and secured a 3-0 win and a place in BGL League next season. Coupe de Luxembourg Spoiler Youth academy Youth preview Spoiler Youth intake Spoiler Best prospects Spoiler Khalidou Diéye (M (RL)) - He will be our new AM (R) for the next season, but can also play on the AM (L). Be the season preview, he's already the best player in the club, and i hop, he can develop a bit, and be a part of a long grind to the top of Luxembourg football. Sven Decker (DM) - Sven is coming to the team at the right time. He will go into the starting XI on the DM for next season. He's a bit weaker than Dagoberto Vilarinho, but Dagoberto is going down to the defence, because it's our weakest link right now. Hopefully Sven can be the supporting man for the defence. Dave Bettis (CB) - As i said before, our defence is our weakest link. Therefore i'm happy to see a "promising" CB getting into our team. He's a big upgrade from the starting CB, and maybe he will secure some points for us next season. I'm a little worried by the aggression, but hopefully he can stay calm in must of the games. The first season in the national league was a tough one, but we just about avoided relegation. We were down there in the swamp the entire season battling it out for each and all points we could. There are some clear issues with quality in the squad, and especially in the 2nd or 3rd choices that I hope future intakes will help out with. As it stands, I can't hope for much more than to survive at this level in the seasons to come. I also managed to get a few more improvements accepted. Popular Post officiallydeej
Chernomorets 1919 Burgas - 2033/34 Season We lost the title on the final day of the season drawing 2-2 at home to Levski. We started much better this season for not needing to qualify for the Champions League and were top after 10 games then kept in and around the top three for the rest of the season. We finished the main season well but lost 2 of our 5 Championship games including a disastrous 3-2 defeat at home to Botev which ultimately cost us the title. Fatigue did play a part and we were without quite a few first teamers but no real excuses for not closing out after topping the first phase. We did win the cup for the first time which was nice. Ludogorets have some ridiculous players for this level, far better than mine so it's always nice to get one over on them and their huge budgets. Our first foray into the Champions League group stage and it was a real baptism of fire. I was a bit disappointed we didn't get anything from Besiktas or Betis who I thought we might have had a better go at. The Barca game looks bad (and it was!) but by that point I knew we were going out and we were due to play Ludogorets in the league 3 days later so I gave the game up and sent the second string out to receive and expected beatings. We were already out by the time we picked up the two wins at the end but it was nice to get some points on the board, finishing 30th out of 36. Another incredible intake, with everyone except the last 4 players either 5 or 4.5* potential. A lot of players moved on this season but all of them through my choosing. A mish mash of players who never made the grade and players who used to play regularly for the first team but have now been overtaken. The most notable was Madzharov 24e who left after over 220 appearances for the club.

It's been the case for me in Luxembourg, Slovenia and Malta which were all 5-6 tier databases so wasn't sure if it would be the same for Scotland. That low the teams are fully amateur with only YI players and almost uniformly minimal facilities and stadiums so there's basically no difference between the teams. I get your frustration, which is why that other thread was started though no one has really done a save over there. Opens up other nations like Ireland and USA without relegation. So, I assume that using the England Tier 10 database is also allowed?
Popular Post jepze
Jepze - FC Claravallis Clervaux - Season 2032/33 Squad | Transfers | Finances | Supporters Another season done, and what a season it was. The finances er good now, a new takeover took over the club, another second round defeat in the club, and best of all, we got a 6th place in the league! It was a rollorcoaster start of the season, but slowly but surely, we climbed up the ranks. A 6th place help the finances a lot, because of the prize money, which were half of the debts the whole season! Hopefully we can use some of the cash to promote the club and inscure a lot of new talents to the club. We need to get some growth in, so we can begining to compete for the top 4 and UEFA money! And he is the best player in the club too. We're begining to get a little problem on the DM, where our 3 best players most natural position is, but we're training the other teo to be a CB and a CM, so they fit our system and we can get the best players on the pitch every game. Popular Post Ray46
Update 12; Season 11; 2033/2034 Sant Andreu: A Dutch manager in Barcelona “Go out and enjoy” In this save we stick it to the Barca board and try to recreate a La Masia CL winning Cruyff dream team just ten km away from Nou Camp. This was actually an achievement from last season, but well done. Almost a goal per game is insane. Arumi is a star. We have three new official wonderkids: Porte, the central defender. Has stabilised the defence, together with our ever improving GK’s. More clean sheets this season. Also a big threat on set pieces, we have scored a lot more on corners and IFK. I think he scored about 10 goals. His composure also helps with build up play: Gonzalez, the two footed striker/AMC. Also consistent and good at big occasions. I think there are players with more upside in the pipeline, but he is performing ok for now: Eugeni, the DLP who I have trained to every possible playmaking trait. He is the first wonderkid from the 31 class. He is the all the right attributes in the right place player: Seeing Calatayud in there doesn’t surprise me, but Sjostrom did well too, now that I think about it. If they are wonderkids as well, we will have a total of eleven!!! New HoyD, we said goodbye to the HoyD we had since season 1. But this was such an enormous upgrade. He had to leave PSG, because a certain C. Ronaldo is the HoyD there now. Perfect JCA and JPA, Gegenpress and 4-2-3-1 as main style and formation. We are not complaining about his first preview: 4 Elites in the intake: Four attacking players: Torres has the best personality; Look at the acceleration already. I play with inverted wingers or IF, so perhaps I’ll retrain him to the left side. He could also be effective as a striker. At least we want him to play in a position were he can untilize his speed. Since he signed the potential stars of some of my best players have gone from 4-5 to 3,5-4, so he could be a generational talent: And sometimes you just know it’s written in the stars, I had to add some youth players on the bench to rest some starters: Sanllehi is a good AMC, not the best personality. Good dribbler, but not a great passer. Perhaps retrain him as IW or IF left. Abfalterer is a versatile midfielder from Croatia with Austrian second nationality. Very well rounded technicals and mentals. Not the greatest athlete though. Leon is a good athletic forward, great finishing and long shots. Will probably make him a striker. Misses composure, but has the “shoots with power” trait. In the semi final of the Supercopa we have finally beaten Real Madrid after 16 tries: And we won the final 2-0 against Barcelona: In the Copa del Rey we had an easy draw until the final and we beat Barcelona again in the final: Every trophy in Spain is won now, except the La Liga title. So how did we do there? We only lost to Real, Barca and Athletic who were leading for most of the season. Real and Barca lost lots of points on draws and we were comfortable in second all season. We had some games in hand most of the time and after all the cup matches were behind us I realised that if we would win the matches against the smaller clubs we would likely win the league, because all our rivals still had to play each other. We have a fantastic team to demolish smaller clubs, so we had a fantastic run: We overtook Athletic: We could lift the trophy with one game to go: We scored the most goals and only Real and Barca conceded less: This has been our progression in the Liga: A few of our players were in the team of the season: Champions League: The group phase was very comfortable, we only lost to Man City who are still formidable: Knockout stages: Dinamo was a lucky draw and Gladbach was very tired from their league matches. Liverpool was too strong at Anfield, but we kept them to a draw at home. Conclusion, we walk over most smaller clubs. But if we play the top 10 clubs in the world, we need a freak result to win, 500 games, wow. I don’t think I have ever been this deep into a save. It’s such a fun concept relying on youth players only. And I could celebrate another personal success: It’s been a while, but we could ask for better Youth Facilities. We have all the other facilities maxed out. Commercially we improved again. Finances are fine: Lot’s of new supporters: Our best line up: Arumi was the player of the season, but lot’s of good performances: Lot’s of players are called up to national teams now, very important because 2034 is a World Cup year. At the time of writing this Spain is in the final against Portugal. Barcelona Rivalry: The theme of this save is becoming the best club in Barcelona. Barcelona has beaten us twice in the league, but we won the cup finals. I think their team is still better, but they got a red card in both the cup finals. Since I took over at Sant Andreu Barca never won the league. So Sant Andreu actually won the league before Barca did. I would say that is mission accomplished. Real Dominance: Real had a new manager after the Ancelotti era. Tuchel played a different formation and Real lost a lot of points getting used to the new formation. At the end of the season Tuchel was fired. Europe: The final part of the challenge is winning the Champions League. If we can keep the team together we can still grow a bit, but Liverpool, Bayern and Man City spend 150M every year buying wonderkids in their prime. We will need some good fortune to win the CL. A good draw got me to the semi final this season. This season we improved a lot on clean sheets and set pieces. That is key to a good cup run. Also my GK probably has the most room to improve. I have read on many other saves, that when they get a better GK the results improve dramatically. Also now that the league has been won we can focus on the CL and sacrifice some league games if needed. Improving the team: Most players are on long contracts and financially I can say no to every offer. A few players like Marcal and Antoni are very influential players, but with Mercenary-like personalities. These kind of players usualy wreck the morale and teamspirit if they don't get their way. Our reputation isn’t high enough yet, so they still view Real, City and Liverpool as bigger clubs. I think I have players with bigger upside in the youth teams, if I trust my coaches star ratings. This year’s star academy recruit Torres has a full star extra potential over Marcal. Sometimes it is hard to let a good player go, but if it means improving long term I probably will have to bite the bullet. But if nobody is offering for them, I won’t let them go. The academy is almost as good as it can be, the HoyD is about the best I can wish for. So it’s just keep trying for the CL. JusttJD
I unfortunately had to abandon my Belgium Save. Due to the financial bug, my chairman decided to change our clubstatus to Semi-Pro. We were already struggling as is, and not contending for play offs, so there is no chance that I could continue with that save. Quite a shame, because I was really starting to enjoy my team. Now, I'm trying to find a new team for a new attempt (In a different country.) England : Maybe try my luck on a Tier 10 Youth Academy Only challenge? (If that is allowed.) The only thing that holds me back at this moment is that once you get a good draw for the cup, or get promoted... you are there. Financially, you won't ever have issues again and it's just grinding out the youth intakes. But, maybe that starting in the Tier 10 will add more challenge to it. I don't want to start in Tier 6, because I've done that plenty of times already in the past 15 years. But, it would be fun to bring success to the tiniest club and defeat the giants that spend hundreds of millions each transfer window.Germany : If I can't play in my southern neighbors country, then maybe in my east neighbors country with a Youth Academy Only challenge The closest thing that comes to the Eredivisie in my opinion. There is always real competition there with Bayern and Leipzig, however two things that I don't really like 1. All teams that promote have a lot of history already. I want to have basically a clean slate in terms of prizes and favorite personal. 2. Bundesliga is already a very big competition with a lot of European succes over the years, so I won't be unique like it would be in Belgium But, trying to break Bayerns 34 title record would be a lot of fun and obviously take a lot of time as well. Netherlands : Not allowed in this challenge, but I'll just make my own. Just pick the worst team in The Netherlands and make my own challenge out of it. Downside? Well, I want to officially complete this real challenge, at least once. (officially). Italy : Lazio & AS are not Rome biggest teams. Try and make Rome City in the biggest team of Rome and the world using youth only. The only downside, the couple save games that I had in the past in Italy, I lost my motivation very quickly because I'm not really that into the Italian competition. Spain, France, Portugal are also competitions that I'm not really that into. And, starting in a smaller country, such a Sweden or Denmark sounds very interesting, it gets boring rather fast. Sure, in Europa there is a real challenge of winning the champions league, but winning every domestic league game with 8-0 is not something that interests me. Basically, I am looking for competition/team where I can stay another 100+ years like I did with FC United. (Why is it always so hard to pick a team? :P )

Yes, but you need to take over a newly promoted team to the lowest level. If there are no relegation at tier 10, then holiday a season and take over a team that finished bottom of their division in the lowest tier. The same goes for other lower tier databases.

Better youth intake but we have to stop blowing good situations, 2 seasons in a row top at the start of February only to fall down the table. This season was almost but should never have happened. Bear in mind I'm terrible lol but Lokeren is a decent way to fight the bug, they are basically a new club of top division stature after the old one went bust and get promoted to the 3rd division usually after 1 season. So the facilities they have at the start kind of offset the bug a bit. I'm pretty sure someone good at fm and used of these challenges could get back to back promotions but thats not me lol. leyrtj
I've been pllaying CM/FM since CM2 days (CM2 97/98 is still my favourite version of the game). Started playing again after 10 years with the FM20 version, and after playing vanilla saves I saw the challenges and I was hooked. I’ve tried the Andorra Save (failed) and am halfway through the Ultimate Football Manager Challenge. I’ve seen the Youth Academy Challenge previously, but thought it was impossible. But I’ve been reading this forum so decided to give it a go! Did a few reloads and ended up with South Shields. Wanted to go for Poole as it’s near where I’m from but they only had 13 players. P O\'D
Managed to bang out another season (2 in 1 day, not easy.) 26/27 More Playoff Misery for Lokeren. We began the season with our best every odds Spoiler The season though was a distaster. 13 points from our first 5 games and I thought we were gonna cruise the league, but we took our usual February wobble early and had a disaster of a season. Only a superb late rally got us in the playoffs. There though we fell at the first hurdle. In the end we came 8th and only scraped in the playoffs on the back of Club Nxt and Jung Genk being unable to be promoted as they are B Teams. Weirdly xg wise we were the second best team in the league and should have gone up. I guess playing so many youngsters was a burden in the end. Spoiler Youth intake was a lot of high potential but alot of terrible mentalities so expect little change next season. Ah well and our wonderkid won't sign on so its likely to be his last before we have to sell. Spoiler Taking stock of the squad we're looking like this. Heres our star kids. Spoiler No change in facilities so no point in wasting the bandwidth with a screenshot. Transfers Spoiler Another season down, our 3rd in the 2nd tier, when a top half finish practically guarantees playoffs I feel like we're underperforming and the finance bug is really gonna get on top of us over the next 3 years. This season feels make or break because its never looked so bad before. Edited February 18, 2023 by P O\'D
Cultured Left Foot
If you'd like to follow along in more detail, this series is a playthrough on my YouTube channel - http://www.youtube.com/c/culturedleftfoot END OF SEASON 14 REVIEW A cracking season that saw us achieve our highest ever finish in the league! Ultimately, it ended in a playoff semi final loss. But something we can definitely build on.... here are the highlights. We secured out best central midfielder to a new long to contract - which will allow us to continue to build the team to his strengths. We received some much needed money in terms of the solidarity payments - finances have been an issue for a while and knowing we get 725k every year is awesome! The League was a good for most of the year (ignoring that blip down to 14th!)... and ultimately ended in the playoffs... We managed to get a decent amount of cash in for one of better players who had also had a few issues with injuries. So we wave good buy to Tim Rockett. And also, the board were getting very worried about the finances (again) and so imposed a reduction on the wage bill... But it wasn't all bad. As Allpress, our main man upfront, was awarded 3rd place in the golden boot for the season in league one. Which also made him the clubs record top goalscorer! And of course, the youth intake.... And finally, we got offered the chance to manage Slovakia... but as the rules state, no international management allowed! So we head into another season in League One and look to push for another good season, hopefully the playoffs or even automatic promotion. A tough ask, but I'm hopeful. Onto Season 15 we go! WISH US LUCK ! Edited February 18, 2023 by Cultured Left Foot Formatting and Spelling
Daddy
2031/32 Midseason Review: We've been in second and third most of the season. Haifa may be running away with the league this season. If we can't catch up then our goal is second to at least get into the Champions League Qualifying again. Speaking of the Champions League, we're still alive with two matches left to play, but one of them is Arsenal. Intake Preview: Doesn't look like a super deep intake this year.
karax268
Louletano Desportos Clube - 2023/24 Intake preview Well now... That certainly looks promising. Election Fever We have a new chairperson. Unfortunately he did not come with a bag of money. He did, however, renewed my contract. So I'm not complaining (too loudly) Things are going well in the league so far. That may be the reason the new chairperson offered a contract so soon. I'm waiting for the moment it all comes crashing down, but for now we are on the right track. I inherited a great group of players that are making the start of this challenge a lot smoother than I'm used to.
leyrtj
Season 1 - Vanarama National North - 3rd (P) For our first season the media prediction was 18th. After losing the first game 5-0, we steadily improved and finished 3rd. We then battered Telford in the playoff finals but had to settle for a penalty shootout to seal promotion. I can’t see how we stay up next season. The starting squad was decent with Thompson and Ross (rated as a Good League 2 player) in midfield and good players across the wings and attack. There was a clear lack of quality in defence, and we conceded a ton of goals. Two promising defenders give us hope. I had a bit of a panic when I started when I saw almost all the squad’s contracts expired two weeks after we took charge, but they all signed contract extensions. After seeing screenshots of other managers getting >5 5 star potential players in the youth intake, I was pretty disappointed to just see one. I guess our starting squad was quite strong hence the lack of 5 start potentials. The 5 star potential player is pretty good, but we are already quite strong on the right wing. I looked at Porritt as a striker but he’s only 159cm.

Well, that was a very short one... 15 matches in, and I'm fired. 16 players in my squad, of which 8 attacking players. 1 Goalkeeper, 2 midfielders and 6 defenders, of which 4 backs... Before the first real match even started, my 2 midfielders, my best centre-back, and my best striker were out for fairly long injury (Shortest one was 7 weeks.) Add exhaustion because of multiple patches in the week during the first couple of weeks in the competition. And, you end up with a squad that are mostly grey players... (for three matches, I even had to play 7 of them from the start...) So, I kept losing games and there was not a lot that I could do about it either. Even the grey players that I got were not in the correct positions, so I had to use a different tactic every couple of matches. 15 Matches, 12 losses, 2 draws, 1 win... and, fired. I really wish that the "Add players to team" option in the start would work for promoted teams as well. With the time pressure of the financial bug combined with such a small squad, I would say that I didn't had a chance. Not sure where I'm going to try next. Gonna be my last try though in a while, because I do want to play the actual game sometime, for a while. :P Probably either in England, Scotland, Germany or custom database in The Netherlands that enables relegation. (I know that one isn't allowed here, but it would be a challenge for myself.) (Gonna think about it for a bit though.) Popular Post Barnsley
FC United - Season 25 - 2047-48 The Promised Land Well our first season in the Prem went alot better than I thought it would go. Media prediction of 20th, Anthony Connor retirement. I lost the first 5 games with a GD of -19 after 19 games we had won 2 of them. I switched from the 4-2-3-1 i was using, and went more 442 diamond with a DMC plus switched to cautious. Did the trick, we managed 8 wins in the second half of the season. Luckily, the other teams who came up were so bad they really helped keep me up. Stoke and Portsmouth were so bad. my points total of 36, would have got me relegated quite a few times recently i had a scan through previous seasons. Overall absolutely over the moon with the season. Second season in prem: media prediction again 20th, expecting another tough but fun season. Finances: healthy as anything - we now have £100m in the bank. STADIUM: Well, they were planning on a new stadium after my recent upgrade got scrapped. Finally at the end of the season we got the message. they are building the Alex Barnsley Stadium, which has never happened to me in any FM before hand! currently a 2 season wait for it and I cannot wait to move in there. 24k seater. My facilities had a bit of a downgrade this year so i need to work on those again. Other News: I may have broke the rules on the game i am not sure entirely if this is allowed. But i was offered a series of international jobs after the recent tournement. Italy/France/Austria and a few more. Wales also did, my goalkeeper, centre back and right midfielder are all starters for Wales so i decided I would take over them 23rd in the world rankings, one place above Holland. But with a few of my own players, and a few more welsh youngsters in my youth system i can promote to use for them. Best player watch - Dafydd Thomas probably the best player stat wise i have got and have had as a regen through my own academy. I really need to try and push the facilities higher to get some better players if possible. I feel a world superstar is waiting in the making somewhere I just need to be able to get hold of him! I guess Man U and Man C take most of the better ones.
russ the womble
I try to develop a defensive 5-3-2 to get a decent result against RB Salzburg (who play a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow) and this is what happens So frustrating! I'm looking at it and I out number them, men behind the ball.. nope. I think I will always lose against them regardless.
Popular Post grff
Tutankhamun: 2031/32 Season Review The dream is over as we came rock bottom and the board sacked me Not much more to say. Ifeanyi Ubah FC: 2023/24 Season Review We go again as we start our new challenge in Nigeria (using the 2 tiered Tenshi database from Steam). Our team is Ifeanyi Ubah FC who are named this because some important man bought the club and named it after himself Our first season ends with a 3rd place finish in the group stage so miss out on a place in the promotion group stage. We go again next season and hope to make that next step. Player stats were encouraging. We have a few players that are leaving at the end of the season as they were keeping their options open before I took charge and I've been unable to persuade them into staying. Youth intake was very disappointing as we took on just two recruits. Transfers. The incoming transfers were arranged before I took charge. Season history Aim for next season Clinch promotion to the Nigerian Premier League Improve the managerial support from the squad (they hate me) Commit our best players to long term deals. Yes, just prepare for the long haul. That will have promotion and relegation for choosing a team.
