JAwtunes
Deportes Valdivia - Season 2023 Review (s1) First season back in FM after leaving behind my long (for me) save in Wales. I have chosen my favourite player from that save as my manager alter ego in my new save in Chile. Spoiler I have chosen Club de Deportes Valdivia. They are a professional team based on the city of Valdivia (approximately 700 km south of Santiago), which appears to be most famous for being the closest city to the most powerful earthquake ever recorded. The club was founded in in 1983 and have played in the Chilean top flight before and once qualified for the Chilean cup semi-final. Spoiler Our first season was excellent. We made it to the third round of the cup and won the second division, so will be playing the in top flight next season. I'm not convinced our squad will be strong enough to do much, especially as many of our regular starters this season are the wrong side of 30, but I am hoping we will be able do enough to survive. Marazola
First intake. We got a goalkeeper slower than an actual tortoise and a British wannabe Huanuqueño (George Suarez) In seriousness, it's a very good intake for the first one. None of these players will ever become Liga 1 quality but that's fine, I need some squad depth at the moment and for a first intake it's fine.
Popular Post glennuk
Badak Lampung - Season Three - League One - Mid Year Review League - Surviving....just We are just about surviving. The step up in quality is clear and some of our OG players are really declining, but our Youth Players are not yet ready to step into the first team roles just yet. A difficult conundrum. We started off better than we have finished this first half of the season, but every match is a potential loss and the top teams are a big step above us right now. Indonesian Cup I really have no interest in the cup, so its 2nd string for me here. Note: Short update as nothing else exciting is happening!

Popular Post libbyshuss
Aachen - Germany 2. Bundesliga - 2031/32 Season Summary Our best season yet! A really good start meant we were never in relegation trouble and were even able to ride out a poor run of form after christmas where we only won 2 in 10 games. Weirdly our finish was not dissimilar to previous seasons but it felt like a real step forward Youth Another reason it felt like such a positive season was the development of the youth players. My youth squads look like this now:- with these fellas being my best prospects. I'm going to try give all of them some first team experience next season, but that will mean swithcing from the 4-3-3 I've been using to a 4-2-3-1. I never feel confident making big tactical changes like that heading into a new season! Thing is, Schonlau 30C is by far the best prospect at the club so i need to fit him into the first XI somehow. And he only plays left wing! My preview was again a very nice one. I never get bored of 5 star potential golden generations! and the intake? Can't complain! Best prospect was this young fella but you never really know. Finances and Upgrades It's all positive this season! Loads of money, good form = lots of upgrades! Career Can we build on the progress of this season? hopefully, our young players made huge strides this season so there's every chance. But i'd settle for mid-table mediocrity again, it's still way too early for the top flight.
Popular Post glennuk
Badak Lampung - Season Three - Indonesian League One - End of Year Review League - 16th - Relegation Well we didn't make it. We struggled for much of the season and just didn't have enough to avoid relegation. The one bright spot was Nathan (YP03A) our amazing youth player who we just got at the start of the season. If I had played him as the Striker for the whole season we may well have survived. His performances once he played Striker...8 goals in 5 games. He is currently a Star Player for League One sides...at 16 years old. The Squad I didn't get the full squad screenshot (and too late to go back), but here is our best 11 for the season. As you can see from the average ratings we really need some change if we are to challenge in League One at any point in the future. As I said in my last update, my OGs are declining and my youth players are not yet good enough to take the reins and make an impact. Hoping for another 3* or 4* CA player through the upcoming intake. The Nightmare Scenario - Nathan (YP03A) Something I did not envision, was due to our relegation Nathan (YP03A) can not play (0 foreign players allowed in League Two) and what is even WORSE is for some reason that means he has not signed his pre arranged contract (3 years + optional contract extension for 3 years). I have never seen this before...and I am devastated. He is still contracted with us on his youth contract and in about 1 year he is eligible for Indonesian nationality. So hopeful that we will go straight back up and I will be able to offer him a contract, or for some reason he will take Indonesian nationality and I will be able to offer him a professional contract. Popular Post grff
Al-Nojoom FC: 2032/33 Season Review A season to remember as we won both the Saudi league and Champion's League to complete the challenge. We had a mediocre start to the league season before we managed to go on a long unbeaten streak and clinched the title with 3 games to go. Our Champion's League campaign didn't start well in the group stage as we lost our first game which put real pressure on us due to only the top team progressing. A repeat of our semi-final saw us beat Al-Hilal 5-1 in the first leg to set-up a final with Korean side Jeonbuk. We clinched the cup with a 4-1 aggregate score. Player stats were really good which was no surprise due to the season achievements. Youth intake was very promising as we had some useful players come through. The highlight being a beauty of a Defensive midfielder. Transfers I've now got the dilemma of carrying on the save or giving a normal save a go. I miss signing players

Neo_Geo
@MWE good luck with the Kilby. I started a save with them recently and was nearly in the premier league before I accidentally got rid of the save whilst clearing up my many, many attempts that I didn’t take further than season 1. Also the inability to hire staff for the youth team wasn’t an issue at first because my intake just went into the main squad but I can see it becoming an issue 6 years or so into the save. Hopefully you can work around it (unless by some miracle SI actually sorted it)

Popular Post The_Gato_In_Goal
Brønshøj BK - Review Season 17 A really good season all around. Without having European competitions to worry about, we were able to sneak into the qualifying rounds for the Champions League. Aim is to make the group stages, since that will increase our reputation a good amount and hopefully convice some players to stay (not that we're dealing with very much unrest right now). Everyone is contracted and mostly happy, so the aim is to keep pushing on, developing youth, and starting to challenge for the title that Kobenhavn has run away with 7 of the last 8 seasons. Key players: Spoiler Training facilities got downgraded, but are being topped off again as we speak. Next goal is to get a few foreign affiliates to spice up our intakes. No transfers in, and just the big two sales.
Popular Post libbyshuss
Aachen - Germany 2. Bundesliga - 2032/33 Season Summary All that optimism from the end of last season disappeared pretty quickly - we didn't record a victory until our 8th game of the season! But actually, after that, we were pretty good and soon climbed the table. Never enough to challenge promotion but after Christmas there was no chance of relegation either. So a good solid season in the end. Baby steps! Players The 4-2-3-1 worked well in the main but we do have a problem - striker! Colin Nieheus 28D is 23 now and should be delivering on that early promise. On paper he's our best player but on the pitch he's still more often than not a liability. The brilliantly named Archibald Horfath 28A is the back-up striker and he's very much the same. I'm sure it's my tactics but I'm still searching for the fix. They're both rubbish! Youth another 5 star golden generation! get in! This is the first intake since all those improvements last year so I was a little more expectant than usual. Intake was ok, but the personalities of the top 5 are all eeuw. Best prospect looks good except for that determination of 2. And now I can't fine the youth team players it's gonna be harder work getting that up. Finances and Upgrades Almost £10m prize money for finishing 8th! lovely stuff! so I asked for lots more upgrades and got:- So we're looking really good off the pitch. Just got to translate that onto the pitch now (in particular up front, useless jelly-footed nitwits I got up there) Career I still think it's too early to mount a promotion challenge but the young players I brought into the first team are all developing really nicely.

_JHTB_
Ilkeston Town - Season 13 – Sky Bet League 1– 4th Lost Playoff Final Transfers -- Squad -- League I started the season with a formation change which I thought might get the best out of my squad. We were getting ok results with it, but largely we were not really playing well in those games even if we won them so ultimately I switched back to the formation that has served us well so far despite lack of depth to play it. It worked almost immediately as we started to push upwards towards the playoffs however, it wasn’t without it’s inconsistencies that we had seen in seasons prior with us just going on some runs where we looked just awful. However, there was more good games than bad and we were actually challenging to get automatic promotion but we did have a shaky end to the season which saw us qualify only for the playoffs. We lost in the first leg of the semi-final before a good performance in the 2nd leg secured us a spot at Wembley and a chance for promotion. The final was pretty one sided with Hull having all of the chances until we took the lead and inexplicably doubled our lead shortly into the second half. Unfortunately Hull fought back with a goal and just as it looked as though we’d held on a 90+3 minute direct freekick took the game to extra time. Hull had the chances in extra time and even got a penalty in the first half which we saved before conceding from the resultant corner. 8 playoffs we have played now, not a single success. Youth Intake I’m a bit disappointed with the intake this time out, we did get a couple players who maybe will have some potential, but largely not fantastic. Aaron Lee Clarridge 13 – We do lack a lot of depth up front with so I am hopeful that Clarridge can develop to be a good option for us up front. Technically and physically he’s fairly strong but does need to develop his mentals. Reco O’Dea 13 – O’Dea perhaps will develop into a good midfielder he does have some good attributes in the correct areas though will need to develop physically to make an impact on the first team. Shane McKenzie 13 - Similar somewhat to O’Dea, he does have some ok attributes, but he will need to develop a lot to be an option for us in midfield. Overview Nothing has really changed on the club infrastructure side, though there has been some murmurings of a board takeover which so far haven’t been forthcoming. Next season, I guess we have to aim for the top 2 positions in the league, we’ve shown that we are comfortable competing towards the top end of the table but I do not have confidence in my teams consistency if we had to face the playoffs again. Key Players Gary Joyce 10 – A fantastic season from Joyce 16 goals and 16 assists in the league and developing nicely. We have been receiving multiple transfer offers for him and I anticipate this to continue so hopefully the board don’t decide to accept any from under me. Darren Kerr 7 – Kerr again has had another great season for the club which is good because we still lack any sort of back up in the goalkeeping position. He did concede more than the season prior but not by many and that’s not really his fault per se. Josh Buckley 7 – Buckley maintained his position as one of our starting centre backs and had another solid season. His heading is still a big question mark over his overall longevity in the team but for now he is performing fairly well.

Not sure, he really didn't kick on the first few seasons of having him (and I don't think I ever figured out the best way to make use of him). But last year he was very good and we're certainly missing some of that final quality when it comes to converting chances and the like. To get the $56M for him up front pretty much solved financial issues forever, but we haven't yet seen a player with anywhere near the PA he had and we will need a few of those types of players to complete the challenge and win the Champions League. I think in 5 years we might be feeling the effects more if we can't get similar talent coming through.

Popular Post JLAB
Motor Lublin - Season 11 - Winter Break So I've not talked about my save for quite a few months, but I have plenty of things to discuss. We've been enjoying a good round of fixtures this season, and despite some questionable form towards the end, we have done well in various competitions. Still, despite winning our first six games of the season, we struggled a bit more in the league, picking up just five wins in 13 games. We are still 3rd, though. We did great things in Europe, though, finishing in 4th place in the Europa Conference League, meaning that we and Lechia Gdańsk, who finished 8th place, qualified for the Round of 16 straight off the bat. The youth intake preview looks decent either way. Yes, I am going to be flooding the forum with a lot of posts. I've been busy. JLAB
Motor Lublin - Season 11 - Youth Intake So we enjoyed a decent February, but as soon as we arrived in March, things went against us. Getting drawn against Atlético de Madrid in the Round of 16 of the Europa Conference League was just unfortunate. We are in the Puchar Polski Semi-Final for the second time, so that's nice. Sadly, our run of form in the league means that we have a lot of work to do to win the league. So we ended up getting our youth intake, and we had some players that I was told to be excited about. These five players were considered good enough to be "elite" in the youth intake. I wonder how many of these players will develop into great players. Popular Post JLAB
Motor Lublin - Season 11 - Review Much to my annoyance, we decided to become good again after the youth intake and only lost twice. We also got to the Puchar Polski Final and retained our cup. However, despite solidly finishing the season, we could only end in 7th place. Still, we were just one point off 2nd place, so we could have gotten Champions League football if we didn't draw against Korona Kielce, who got relegated. Our crucial player, Michał Novak, got into the NXGN award in 40th place, which was a nice feeling. Despite only finishing in 7th place, we gained more social media followers. The board expects us to finish mid-table as a bare minimum, and they want us to get into the league phase of the Europa League too. In other good news, we rose 40 positions in the European Club Rankings. While in the Europa Conference League review, I noticed that we lost to the eventual winners and had beaten the team that finished as runners-up. It felt ironic to me. Popular Post The7Striker
Supporters Stoffels 23-1 Finances The Manager Spoiler The lure of this challenge got me back and well, I decided to join Belgium with S.C. Eendracht Aalst. I know, finances will be tricky, but let's see how this goes. During World War I, citizens from Aalst played football matches to raise money for prisoners of war and so, in 1919 SC Eendracht Aalst became an official football team. In 2002, after K.S.C. Eendracht Aalst had gone into liquidation, the club change its name and started in the 3rd tier as a new team.

manutdfan1999
Just got FM23 as saw it on sale. What better way than to jump right in with this challenge. Gone for England and South Shields as they have the benefit of being professional to start so hoping that helps. Below is my manager profile (Taken late after i had already finished my first coaching badge which i hope is ok). Upon taking over I found this gem of a player had came through the youth system in the sim season. Supposedly already league 2 lvel and with room to improve. Doubt ill be able to keep hold of him for too long Currently into December of my first season and after a very shaky start I'm up to 9th after 19 league games. Not sure what to expect from this season really as we have some very good players but im not great tactically. I also play with an instant result skin which whilst it does speed the game up makes tactic building a little trickier. If i need to post anything else from my game let me know.

We struggled to keep clean sheets, but were dangerous in attack. Because of this combination we managed to have a surprising 10 game unbeaten start to the season however 7 of these were draws. We ended the season badly with my striker just completely losing his form dropping us down to 11th, but all in all this is perfectly acceptable for our first year up with the 2nd teams. Matches: Spoiler It's worth noting that the team that won the league, Barmbek-Uhlenhorst, is a team that has climbed up like us from the bottom of the pyramid and unfortuatnely is a team we have to beat in the Hamburg Pokal to get those valuable opportunities to play in the DFB Pokal. Cup: RUNNER UP! We blew it, and potentially this botched cup final could come back to haunt us if we can't turn the finances around. 20 minutes into the game we are up 2-0 off two defensive errors by Hamm United. I do my best to reduce our risk-taking and keep numbers behind the ball to protect the lead. The first goal they get back is a near-post corner that was out of our control. Second goal though comes form some abhorrent defensive play by our two CBs. The errors by one of them and our striker pile up so they both had less than a 6.0 rating and I was forced to sub them or risk them bringing more disaster. and then in the 88' another missed header by the CBs and they get the 3rd goal to win 3-2. Squad: CA & Overview: Our top players are still improving, but we are still a very unbalanced squad with completely unnecessary Goalkeeper depth. Big issue is that Bartu Basar has refused for years to negotiate a new deal and will be in his final year next year. I do have a couple very raw youths to try at WB-L, but it will be a major step down when he leaves. Luckily all my other star players have agreed to at least 2-3 year deals many with additional extensions. While slow, we've developed two reasonably dependable DMs in the playmaker Ilyas Altun & DM-D Alperen Turk as well as have a promising Shadow Striker in Feridun Altintas. Altintas may get switched to a CM-A though to try and bring back our starting positions of players to be better defensively in a 4-3-3 vs a 4-2-3-1. Spoiler Data Hub: Team Defending is a real issue but we did fantastic offensively even with our end of season slump Statistics Excel: Because we had issues in the back, the real focus I had was on our CB performance with the question: was it the formation or players? Because a lot of my players can play both CB and a FB position the summary shows more than our starters: Denny Pepe & Ergun Turan so I'll jump on to individual performances. Our two starters: Spoiler If we look at the isolated players it becomes very clear that we have a major aerial issue with Turan when he only wins 66% of headers. The last two players Duran & Matic were our rotation CBs who you can see didn't fare any better with 64% header win ratio. Toplu and Kose are backup FBs, so mainly played there. Moving onto ground statistics Turan isn't much better here failing to break out of the middle on any statistic. Denny Pepe on the other hand looks to be a very good CB for this level with an impressive 34.5 Possession wins / 90 as well as good key tackles, interceptions & clearances. So it looks like even though Turan is driven and seems to be developing somewhat I really should take a chance on a youngster CB next year if we have a prospect. Transfers: This summer I'm purging a lot of 22-24 year old high wage low performing rotational players to give a chance for the youngsters who only will develop with gametime. Here are all the ones that are already headed out (just haven't fully agreed to a deal yet) Completed transfers: Youth Academy Youth Intake Preview: its not total trash for once! Youth Intake: Lower quality personalities, but higher rated players. I'm okay with that tradeoff. YI Player Highlights: Spoiler Academy Data: At least we reversed the CA Trend! HOYD: Still sticking with him. He is improving his HOYD Role ability and is finally into the Yellow now and still is only 30 years old. Again club is spending pennies on the youth setup with poor facilities so he can only do so much. Spoiler Head Coach Apparently getting promoted to the T4 of Germany hits the bar to manage Luxembourg Club Finances Good news we lost less money than last year! Bad news, its still over 300k... This is where our botched cup final might kill the club as that's a guaranteed 300k for just being in the DFB-Pokal that we will miss out on next year. Removing the 100k bonus Gate Reciepts for the cup final we only saw a bump of ~300k in Gate Receipts and Matchday income by moving into our new ~5k occupancy stadium. Unfortunately the debt servicing is just getting worse and is double what we are earning from the stadium, which shows just how bad of a move it was for the board to build it in the first place. Manager Thoughts So far the creditors haven't come knocking, but it almost seems like its inevitable. Next year again I'll be pushing for the cup but we have a real problem with B-U getting promoted to the 3-Liga and probably going Professional. We were exceptionally lucky to beat them on penalties this year in the cup and if they keep strengthening their squad repeating that will become a big role of the dice. Again, I'm planning to play this till the club goes into administration as we have a great offensive combo, decent CMs & great GKs. If we can fix our defensive issues maybe there's a chance?

dkouv
@grff Congrats!! Operário dos Açores – Season 15 (2037/38) Primeira Liga Our first season of European football resulted in some inconsistency in the league early on, as we had to rotate heavily. But once we got knocked out of all the cups the team picked up steam, and we finished the season with 5 straight wins, qualifying for the Europa again with ease and only finishing 1 point outside of the CL slots. Europa League We were surprisingly good, finishing 7th in the league stage and qualifying for the last 16, where we were beaten comprehensively by Atletico Madrid. I played my first team in all the fixtures to get that £500k-per-win bonus. We also reached the semis of the two domestic cups, where we were comprehensively thrashed by Sporting and Benfica. Players: The goals were harder to come by this season, but our defence improved massively, mostly thanks to the emergence of Martim Fortuna 12b (DC) who is now our highest-valued player. We have one 16-year old fullback who is developing nicely, so I’m hoping for some continued defensive improvements over the coming years. Youth intake (preview): The facility upgrades (below) immediately paid off, as we saw 4 elite talents come through. The only issue is that it’s very attack heavy again, but there are a few 4-4.5* fullbacks in there (one upgraded to 5* now), so I’m hoping one of them is good. Oops, forgot to take the screenshot of the intake but here's how they are looking at the end of the season Facilities/finances: This was the year! After 15 years of toil, the Europa finally saw us earn some money, and we splashed the cash, improving training facilities twice, and youth facilities and coaching three times each - now I'm rubbing my hands waiting for the next intakes )) Transfers nothing of note. Popular Post Cultured Left Foot
If you'd like to follow along in more detail, this is a let's play series on my YouTube channel - http://www.YouTube.com/c/CulturedLeftFoot SEASON 22 REVIEW.... The season started with rumours of takeover... But it didn't really go anywhere, and to dampen the take over rumours the owner invested large sums into the facilities. But focusing on the league, it was a pretty good season, recording our highest league position finish ever. And we also said farewell to some very highly rated youngsters for some extra income. And we also said farewell to long serving Club Captain, Lewis Salt. The youth intake looked very promising. But will need to be good to break into our very successful U18s team. And the board weren't done their, as at the end of the season, they announced 2 stadium expansions. And further advancements in facilities too! All in all, a cracking season and we are moving in the right direction, with good stable finances and a stadium to match out growing fan base! Bring on Season 23! WISH US LUCK !
jmalonioshaky
Salamaca UDS Segunda Federación Grupo V - Spain Manager Profile Spoiler Late to the party, hope I get the challenge finished before FM 24. Salamanca have a large stadium for this level of 17,341 so hopefully we can get high attendances to help the finances.
lewis999
Season 1 Review - 14th in Serie C A bit of relegation fear at the start of the season, changed to a 4411 and conceded a lot less goals and picked up a lot more points! Intake Preview Didn't need full backs but did need CB's, will have to re-train. A striker would of been nice as ours are lacking in quality so results will have to be more 1-0 than 3-2 or 4-3. Youth Intake My Top 3 1. Collecchi with the professional personality and I can re-train into CB as he is 6ft if needed. 2. Taglioli with the resilient personality and very good CA. 3. Nuccio the other full back with no real weaknesses at 15. End of Season thoughts! No facility upgrades yet and El Bakhtaoui the top scorer is 31 and declining so new striker needed ASAP. Hoping to stay clear of relegation again this year, not bothered which position we finish in outside of that. Be hard to beat.
Neo_Geo
@aldojags make sure to use as much home grown talent as you can in the 2nd tier as you get a £409k bonus for naming 12 Austrian players in your matchday squad for 9 games in a row: This was a massive help to me with SAK 1914 and I was sad then when I got promoted it wasn't there. Good luck.
DazRTaylor
Youth Candidates Season 2046/47 Macclesfield The preview was fairly good to be fair: I was once again left disappointed.

Neo_Geo
LIMAVADY SEAL DRAMATIC LAST DAY TITLE WIN More Youth DetailsYouth Intake PreviewYouth Intake Top 5 Season Review Well this is what I was after with a new save leaving Austria behind, we bossed the league and were 7 points clear at the start of the Championship Group and I was feeling really confident of our chances of winning the title. We beat Ballyclare 3-1 in the opening Championship Group game....excellent as they have been tricky to play against. Then we lost 3-1 away to 3rd placed Carrick before losing 4-2 at home to H&W Welders leaving Ards 1 point behind. Dergview at home next which we were leading 2-1 until an 87th minute equaliser whilst Ards were winning 1-0 away to Ballyclare thanks to a penalty so Ards went top by 2 points and it came down to the final match....away against Ards: At 1-0 O'Flaherty cleared a ball off the line and I was praying to the FM Gods to hold on before we the good old over the top, missed DC header, sole striker breaks through on goal and finishes in the 89th minute so surely thats it now? Nope a diagonal long ball over the top for Pomeroy drifting out wide before laying it across the face of goal for player of the season Guba (Elite1) to slot it home and send our away support crazy (all 2 of them! ) The cup performances were much like last year and we were unlucky against Glenavon (got 4 injuries in that game to key players with 2 of them out for 2 months and really threatened to derail the season) but outclassed against Coleraine and we got FM'd by Dergview but until we have a sure footing in the Danske Premiership I don't really care about the cups (there is more prize money for finishing league position than winning the Norther Irish Cup the only thing that is of benefit there is stature and of course a place in Europe) Financially we were better off this year staying in the black and when the new sponsorship deal was announced at the end of the season I was able to request (and then fight for) the youth recruitment upgrade. The current squad is looking decent at the moment with Guba (Elite1) being the standout and being touted for a call up to the Slovakian squad, the rest of the squad is of about the same ability so its nice and balanced provided I keep players fit. The intake this year was decent and gives me further options and the ability to let go of some of the original squad members who just aren't that good. I have the same HoYD for a season and then if we stay up I'm hoping that the club reputation may increase a little and I can get a better quality HoYD in. Next Season Aims Don't get relegated
Popular Post The7Striker
S.C. Eendracht Aalst 2023/2024 Season Finances Facilities Transfers Squad Eerste Nationale This season was a two-horse race for the title with Jong Genk pushing us hard, but with 3 extra points we got the title. We had one transfer in (already set by AI), which makes the squad really well packed in all areas, for now. Financially we are in the red but it could be worse, average attendance is around 3500 at home, so its a very good number that helps the income. With that said, the board allowed me to take National C and B licenses and refused any further upgrades. Croky Cup - We beat Rhodienne and Verlaine, before losing to Beveren in the 5th round. Under 19 - They finish 4th in the National 1, but it was just a bunch of grey players. Youth Intake Spoiler Very happy with the preview and later with the intake itself. We are missing DM and CM, but glad we have some CB. Franco looks a very promissing CB but I really need to work that pace out. Still not sure about Nelson, we looks amazing in IF role or as a AM aswell.
