DazRTaylor
Youth Candidates Season 2023/24 The Spartans We received an excellent preview: The intake was good enough though I had hoped, rather greedily to be fair, for higher current abilities.
Popular Post _JHTB_
Ilkeston Town - Season 14 – Sky Bet League 1– 6th Lost Playoff Semi-Final Transfers -- Squad -- League Some more outgoings this season Lefteris Ioannou 10 I was looking to sell Ioannou this season as last January when we rejected bids he proceded to be absent for 2 matchdays and we have a decent roster of fullbacks. Unfortunately though, the board prevented me from getting as much as I otherwise would for him as they just accepted an offer from under me, it was still a healthy £1.7m (and we cashed in an additional £1.4m from buying sellons) but this season the board have tried selling so many players from under me. Scott Wild 11 Another player which was sold because the board just accepted an offer. It was a good amount - £2.4m – for a player who had not really developed that much, but it is still frustrating not having control of the transfer offers. It was a weird season as we started out ok, but just weren’t really matching our results to performances with the majority of the season we were well under our expected goals and points floating around in upper mid-table. We did tweak our formation a little bit which did start to improve our fortunes a little. Eventually though, we were looking very underwhelming a lot of the time, keeping a lot of the ball but barely even having shots – thankfully though we did often enough over the course of games do enough to win ultimately finishing in 6th and the playoffs. We again did not have a good playoff campaign, in the first leg, we were arguably the second best team but equalised in the 89th minute to enter the second leg level. The second leg we were second best from the off conceding inside 15 minutes and didn’t have a single look in until they went down to 10 in the 52nd minute and then we got a 74th minute penalty. After that we created disappointingly little against 10 men and the tie ultimately ended on penalties where we lost. Youth Intake I was underwhelmed with this intake, the preview suggested ‘A’ rated players in 4 or 5 positions, and we didn’t really get that. I immediately sacked my HoYD after this intake as his past few have not been great. Alex Ingram 14 – Our best striker through – an area we have very few prospects – he has some ok attributes, but nothing that suggests he will be our answer up top. He can probably develop enough to end up a more supporting striker but not so convinced. Benjamin Abdul 14 – Central midfield option but needs to improve on his attributes to have much chance of making a first team impact. A good personality will hopefully mean he will develop nicely though. Overview We are currently improving both our Youth and Training Facilities so hopefully that will bring some improvement to the playing squad in the coming years. There were no takeover murmurings this season, though I would welcome a new chairman who doesn’t try sell everyone. At the end of his contract, leading appearance maker Timmy Browne 1 who made 595 appearances (529 league), has decided to leave, which whilst it is a shame, he is not really of the quality that we need to go to the next level. I do worry for next season actually, I’m not really convinced that we’ll be able to manage playoffs next term as we have not often looked convincing this season. I may need to do some tactical tweaks to try and improve our productivity. Key Players Josh Buckley 7 – Solid enough performer for us at the back he and Ojo are pretty much our starting centre back partnership now, especially as Browne is moving to pastures new. Gary Joyce 10 – Joyce last season played on the wing, this season he played as our out and out striker managing 34 league goals which is a great showing, unfortunately, he often puts in terrible performances when he’s not amongst the goals and we don’t have any real back up. Dalton Sergeant 10 – Sergeant put in some good performances this season managing to score 4 and assist 9 and is developing pretty well. He’s improved performances year on year so I’m hopeful he can do the same next time out.
jmalonioshaky
Salamanca UDS Unfortunately its the end of the road for this save as the board relived me of my duties mid season. Even though we looked certain for relegation I was sure that I would be safe given that I had exceeded expectations in the previous seasons. Its especially annoying as my first batch of regens had started developing into decent players. Spoiler

BustaRaymes
Malaysian University Malaysian Premier League - 2023 Expected to be 13th, we had a very good first season. Final match day saw us facing Kuching, while Kinabalu and Manjung playing each other as well. Our draw was not enough for promotion, but the fact we were so close is a really good start. In the Challenge Cup, which is played between the Premier League sides, we reached the final. Again, we were close but lost out in the end. Squad Defensively we lack quality, but most players at the back at least have a lot of pace to make up for that. In midfield, Rosli is our most reliable player. In a dynamic or ball winning role he was even able to assist quite a few. Up front, Radzi is the main man. A good goalscorer and with 24 he has some years ahead of him as well. Transfers Youth intake As always, the first intake looks really good but whether they are remains to be seen. I had hoped for a bit more playmaking abilities on Karim, but he's nevertheless going straight into the first team next season. Baharuddin seems good as well. We're ok at RB for the moment so he has some time to develop. Kokull may not have the best current ability yet, but the fact he's 192cm / 12 jumping reach makes him a giant in Malaysia, which could be a real weapon with set pieces. Yusoff looks like a future playmaker who needs to improve physically first. Edited May 8, 2023 by BustaRaymes
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2023/24 The Spartans Season Summary An excellent first season where we reached the promotion playoffs before losing in the semi finals. An extraordinary Scottish Cup run rounded off an impressive campaign. Season Details League Table - We secured second place behind the best side, Peterhead, as we qualified for the promotion playoffs. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We were tremendous for most of the season. Our head to head record against Peterhead (one draw and three losses) was disappointing, however. Promotion Playoffs - We played poorly in losing to Elgin City over two legs in the semi final. Scottish Cup - What a cup run this was. We eventually went out at the quarter final stage, losing at home to second tier Inverness Caledonian Thistle, but not before we sent top flight Kilmarnock packing in the round before. Premier Sports Cup - We finished fourth in our group, meaning we didn't progress from this round. SPFL Trust Trophy - League One outfit Clyde proved to be too strong for us as they cknvincingly beat us at home in the third round. Friendlies - We won the games we were expected to win and lost the two home matches against bigger clubs. Squad - We are good enough for the promotion playoffs though we would definitely struggle in the league above. Squad Dynamics - This is rather good. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - I allowed a lot of fringe players to leave on free transfers and a few youngsters go out on loan for some much needd experience. Youth Candidates - Central midfielder Willie Robertson YP24B2 is the best prospect out of a good intake. Finances - We made a handsome profit this year. Key Players Chris Inglis - The young central defender had a terrific campaign. Rhys Armstrong - Our best player played up to his billing. Blair Henderson - Scoring 29 goals in 47 games was a good return for our main striker. Jamie Bain - The veteran right back played much better than I anticipated. Jamie Dishington - Usually deployed on the right wing, I found him to be very frustrating. Very capable of outstanding performances, he is equally capable of being anonymous for ninety minutes. Next Season Anothe rpromotion playoff appearance would be absolutely fine. Popular Post Neo_Geo
LIMAVADY SURVIVE WITH EASE IN DEBUT DANSKE BANK PREMIERSIP SEASON More Youth DetailsYouth Intake PreviewYouth Intake Top 5 Season Review An unexpected end to the season where we qualified for the Championship Group in our first season in the top flight. We were 7 points ahead of 7th place but 10 points behind 5th so we are very much a mid-table side based on this seasons performance. Our chairperson decided that £29k was too good to turn down (we are now on around £160k) for last years Sar Graduate, Robert Mulgrew (Elite2), which led to ,e rethinking my formation into a 4-3-3 DM Wide. We had the 4th worst defense conceding nearly 2 games a game on average (this was due to a few spankings from Linfield and Glentoran) but we did have the 5th best attack which was largely down to Pavol Guba (Elite1) who is now in the Slovakia national squad but has yet to play. I can trigger a 2 year extension with him but then he'll be off, he believes the squad isn't good enough (and he's right as he is WAY above the rest). In the cups we were awful with 3 (albeit narrow) defeats to lower league opposition and I really felt we could have done better but there was a spell before the turn of the year where we were playing twice a week every week for about 2 months and it knackered my first choice team leaving me with really poor alternatives. This years intake should help give me some more options for rotation. Off the field the youth recruitment reached the penultimate step (I class as 5 stars with the top one being 5 purple stars) and Junior Coaching is now up to 3 stars as I look to get another Guba next season! A new HoYD, new head physio, new assistant manager, new fitness coach sees a much needed improvement to our medical and footballing departments. The board have also announced plans for a new stadium as we are currently groundsharing with rivals Coleraine due to the restrictions around stadiums to play in the Danske Bank Premiership (our average attendance was over our old capacity with a couple of large gates at home to Coleraine and Linfield which helped our finances this season). Much of the old guard are now at 1 star current ability with a couple of exceptions so we have nearly fully transitioned to Youth Intake only in the starting XI after 3 seasons which was much earlier than I expected. I let Pomeroy go as he was wanting £200 p/w and I just haven't been using him given his 1.5 CA and PA being lower than some of my youth prospects who were on far less. Next Season's Aims On the whole the save is progressing nicely and another season like this one (but doing better in the cups) to consolidate our position in the league would be great. I know the clock will be ticking for Guba (Elite1)'s departure so I probably only have a couple of seasons left before his contract expires (unless there is interest and the offer is good enough to let him go).

BustaRaymes
Malaysian University Malaysian Premier League - 2024 We are up! Same as last season, we played a decider against Kuching in the last match and pulled through! Usually my first promotion takes a bit longer, so I'm happy to have made the step up so early. Based on cup games I think we should be able to stay up as well. Squad We thank our forwards for everything as they were lethal up front. Izwan Karim had a good first season. Our first newgen played well, assisted a lot and developed into one of our star players within a season. Nordin was the king of the assist. He doesn't always deliver, but I feel he's undervalued by the game. I like him. Radzi was prolific again, for the second season in a row. Muhazni was the one to star next to Radzi this season. Although all strikers are decent at best, I'm not complaining about their return in goals. Challenge Cup Another decent run, ended in the semi final sadly. I like to use this tournament to give some more playing time to youngsters and the backup goalie. Transfers 2 fringe players left. Youth intake Another nice set of players to bolster the squad. Rosli's versatility means he'll be useful for us straight away. I like him as a midfielder, but given our lack of quality at the back he'll feature there as well. Zahari is the 7th left back at the club now, he's going to cost some people their spot. Chong looks decent as well. Midfield seems to be secured for the next few seasons. Hamid is the first decent goalie we pulled. Without a goalkeeping coach I'm not too optimistic about how far he can go though :') Financially the floodgates are wide open. We lost a million in 2 seasons. I don't think this can be fixed in the Super League, so I'm curious as to how to ever get any upgrades.

Popular Post libbyshuss
Aachen- Germany 2.Bundesliga - 2035/36 Season Summary So, could we get straight back up after last seasons relegation? before christmas it looked unlikely - we were doing well but drawing too many and stuck in 4th. After christmas we went 3 games without a win and then had to go away to Schalke and Augsburg who were 1st and 2nd. it didn't look good. But we won both of them and were straight back in it! From then on we were a different team and the draws became wins. With one game to go we even had an outside chance of the title. if we won and Schalke lost the title would be ours! I was genuinely shocked!! Straight back up, and in style! Players Injury forced me to use patrick Forster 34A before I really wanted to. He did ok and became a regular in the second half of the season. I like to use advanced forwards in my sdtriker role and with that pace, he's no advanced forward. So he played AMC and is being reteained - he's gonna be my Bergkamp! Youth First intake with the new HoYD i got last season and with our new improvements. When the preview and intake came in i nearly fell off my chair. One of the best intakes i think i've ever had! all those A grades!!! and then.... these three look ridiculously good! to say i'm excited is an understatement! Upgrades Career Can we stay up next season?

Popular Post DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2024/25 The Spartans Season Summary We took a giant step backwards as we struggled in League Two. Even decent cup runs couldn't gloss over our failings. Season Details League Table - We were looking over our shoulder for most of the season and only a good run towards the end of the season gave us a flattering league finish. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We struggled throughout the season as positive results were hard to come by. Scottish Cup - We enjoyed another decent cup run as we made it through to the fourth round before being hammered at home by top flight outfit Heart of Midlothian. Premier Sports Cup - A tough group, where we finished fourth, meant we were never going to progress. SPFL Trust Trophy - We enjoyed this cup as well as we made it through to the quarter final before Championship side Queen of the South proved too strong, defeating us on our own patch. Friendlies - An unbeaten pre season campaign is always a joy to watch. Squad - We are weaker than last season and really need to start producing from our academy. Squad Dynamics - The Club Atmosphere is among the worst I have experienced. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out 1 & 2 - One star youngster was sold, otherwise it was the usual free transfer departures and loans. Youth Candidates - I was disappointed with the intake though players such as central midfielder Louis Cross YP25F22 have a good chance of making it as a professional. Finances - We made another profit and our bank balance continues to grow. Key Players Chris Inglis - The centre back was not as good as he was last season. Rhys Armstrong - He has agreed a move elsehwere and the midfielders performances suffered as a result. Blair Henderson - As reliable as ever, our main striker was once again consistent in front of goal. Fynlay Mackenzie - The Republic of Ireland Under 18 international central defender, in his first full season in the first team, was one of our best players. Now he wants to leave for a bigger club. Josh Laing - The teenage right back struggled somewhat this year. Next Season It is imperative we once again reach the promotion playoffs. BustaRaymes
Malaysian University Malaysian Super League - 2025 A strong start to the season gave us the buffer we needed to not get into trouble. The fact we had a hard time scraping points for about the last 12 games worries me a bit. Squad Karim kept on developing nicely, while Rosli and Yusoff got a decent amount of playing time as well. Kokull had a pretty decent season at the back and is notably getting better. Thinesvarman was the surprising factor. Until now, there's always one of the front three options that's playing above expectations. Transfers Youth intake Another promising intake, although I was hoping for better current abilities. Othman is looking good and may well be the starter before too soon. Thanasegar has some decent attributes at the start, but has to learn a lot as well. We needed a winger and Mazlan is going to fill that gap nicely. Finances We're going to be in trouble before too long. The board put out a 1.1m loan to get us out of the red, but a season costs us about 400K. We need to reach the final of the AFC Cup or the latter Champions League stages to cover that, and we're nowhere near. Our wage budget is shrinking by the season and I won't be able to pay the older players' wages anymore soon. I like a challenge but I hate where this seems to be going.
Popular Post Libertine13
2035/36 (Season 13) It's been a while since I've been able to put any significant amount of time into this save, let alone update my progress. But here it is. Off the back of our best season to date we had an issue with retaining a couple of our first choice defenders. Brendan Moore 32A and Daryl Polden 32D were both refusing to sign new contracts unless the squad was strengthened. Moore's contract was up at the end of the previous season and Polden's had one year remaining. Brendan Moore 32A contract saga; Spoiler So I was told Moore was looking to explore options at the end of his contract, our squad wasn't strong enough to match his ambitions etc. I was able to discuss the ambition of the club with the player, I forget how though. Seems like the chat went well... However he still wasn't interested in even negotiating a deal or letting me offer any promises etc. So it got to the point where his youth contract had literally expired and I was expecting him to leave on a free but for some unknown reason he was actually willing to negotiate a new deal. I had no indication of this and if I hadn't given it one last try I'd have lost him on a free. Player interaction needs to be far better, such a frustrating part of the game and especially for these saves. Felt the need to get this off my chest! I'll have to see if I can work on retaining Polden throughout the season! Europa League Conference Play Offs; Spoiler It was an unbelievable effort from us in the Play Offs to gain a spot in the Europa League Conference proper this season. We brushed aside Welsh side The New Saints with ease before a tricky tie with Admira Wacker. We somehow scraped through the first leg with a one goal lead, but we needed a 113th min equaliser in the return leg to progress. I was expecting us to fall short at the 3rd hurdle once again when we were drawn against Frieburg! Despite being under immense pressure from the kick off we found ourselves a goal up away from home! Frieburg pilled on the pressure and salvaged a 2-1 lead going into the 2nd leg. It turned out to be another tight affair, a late Jonathan Mitchell 31B penalty saw us through to extra time where neither team could find the winning goal. We held our nerve in front of our own fans to claim a famous victory! The only team standing between us and a season of European football were Danish outift, Brondby. A brilliant home performance gave us the advantage for the return leg, a draw is all we needed and we held out superbly for the best goalless result of my career! Europa League League Phase; (If applicable) Spoiler Our debut European campaign wasn't bad at all. Whilst we didn't set the world alight we did manage to get ourselves through to the KO stages with a couple of good results, most notably an away draw with Strasbourg. Europa League KO Phase; (If applicable) Spoiler We were secretly confident of a good showing against Nordsjaelland in the Play Offs. We actually managed a superb win away from home and it could have been even better had we not conceded a silly goal in the 89th minute. The home tie was a completely different match, the visitors threw everything at us and we held on until the 92nd minute where the got a deserved goal to take the game to extra time! Another 30 minutes on goalless action went by and we had another shootout in front of our own fans. Again we kept our cool to advance to the next round... Where we'd face a familiar foe in Cliftonville. In the first leg we should have seen the game out to take a 1-0 lead back to their place, however we once again conceded late on. With everything to play for in the return leg we were on the receiving end of some rotten leg/defending. We gave away 3 penalties to lose 3-0 on the night. A tie we should have been capable of winning. Domestically we had another very good season, we managed to win one of the many domestic cup competitions. The County Antrim Shield was brought home with a brilliant 1-0 win over Linfield. We went deep in the other cup competitions, semi finals of the Irish Cup and quarters of the NIFL Cup. Add our European adventure in the mix and we ended up playing a ridiculous number of matches this season, meaning we dropped some silly points through having to rotate our tiny squad or playing through tiredness. The fact we were only 4 points off Linfield at the top come the league split was incredible! However the run in was 5 games too many for us, we only managed one victory in the remaining games. We still held onto 2nd place and we actually got Europa League football next season as Linfield completed the double, meaning the spot wasn't given to the Irish Cup winners. Our success in Europe this season earned us plenty of money, we were able to upgrade both the Training and Youth Training facilities for the coming season and we FINALLY went Pro! This has got me all kinds of excited, I'm looking forward to players being able to reach their actual potential now! . Best XI; Spoiler Starboy Adam Gorman 34A had such a bizarre season where he'd go on a good run of scoring and then a big barren spell where he'd put in some abysmal performances, I get inconsistency comes with being so young but he was far better last season. I hope he kicks on a bit from here. Grant Dorman 35G had a breakout season where he got his chance as our LW through default really. I'm not expecting him to become a star player or anything though. Youth Intake; Spoiler It was a poor preview for our youth intake this season. I could only really hold out hope that one of the centre backs might turn out to be useful. If it wasn't for Nathan Maybin 36A the intake would have been a woeful intake. I'm seriously considering going back to my old HoYD guy as this one isn't giving us much in the way of top personalities. Kinginthenorth
Hello, just a question. Since Swedish clubs have spring-fall seasons you can either start in 2022 or 2023 after latest patch. I would prefer to start in 2023 so the previous season player stats, competition winners etc. are accurate to real life. Is that okey for this challenge or do you have to start the save in 2022? Popular Post _JHTB_
Ilkeston Town - Season 15 – Sky Bet League 1– 4th Promoted via Playoff Transfers -- Squad -- League One sale this season Shaun Cole 10 Yet another player that the board sold from under me, though for Cole, I am not really that disappointed as we received £5m for a player who was not close to challenging the first team after 3 years out on loan, if the board didn’t accept the offer I would have anyway. We played really well this season, last season particularly despite us making the playoffs we weren’t really a good team, just picked up the points. This season I was very happy with how we were playing. Most of the games this season we felt like we were in with a chance not getting massively outplayed all season. In fact, through the entire season we only lost by more than one goal on two occasions. The main issue we had this season was perhaps losing or drawing those close games when often we were the better team in them which ultimately cost us automatic promotion. Coming into the playoff campaign I was actually fairly confident based on how we had played in the season despite losing our previous 9 playoff campaigns. In the end we dominated the first leg of the semi-final only to concede a later equaliser before a much more even second leg where we just about managed to gain the upper hand after going behind late in the first half. The final drew us against a side that we had lost only once to in our 13 previous encounters including a previous playoff victory over them in the National League. We were very good in the final perhaps a little poor in front of goal, but the final in the end was as one sided as a 1-0 victory could be as they didn’t really have much of a look in – their goalkeeper getting the player of the match award. Youth Intake Nothing much to write home about on this intake, though the preview did suggest it was not going to be a great one. Pedro Rodrigues 15 – The pick of the bunch, and really he’s not too bad, good passing and technique makes me think he could develop into a good midfielder for us. Thankfully we do have a lot of depth in midfield now so he has plenty time to develop before he might be called upon. Chidi Udoka 15 – We have not had many decent potential goalkeepers through in recent years at all so I’m happy enough with Udoka. His goalkeeping attributes are all very middling, but maybe there is a good option there Overview We have improved the youth and training facilities this year with training facilities in the process of being upgraded again and the board have agreed to improve our youth level which will hopefully enhance our intakes. Survival will obviously be the aim for next season, my starting eleven is getting stronger, but in reserve we do not have all too much in the way of quality in depth in most positions. Key Players Dalton Sergeant 10 – Sergeant had a lot of injury issues this season which saw him miss out on 16 league games, despite this he still recorded 19 goal involvements with 7 goals and 12 assists maintaining his year on year performance improvement. He won the league one player of the season award thanks to his performances this year. Patsy Bennett 12 – Bennett had spent last season out on loan in the lower leagues where this season he nailed down a starting spot with, like Sergeant, 19 goal involvements this time flipped, 12 goals and 7 assists including the winner in the playoff semi-final. Gary Joyce 10 – There was a point earlier in the season that Joyce looked far away from being a key player this season – we were facing a team where there striker had just hit his 24th in all competitions whilst he had mustered only 4 – thankfully he then hit 5 in the cup and didn’t look back. He eventually ended the season on 32 league goals including the playoff final winner.

That's fine, but the original premise still holds, you need to take over a club newly promoted into the lowest tier possible, and they cannot have been playable in the game before, so you can't take over a team that was relegated in the 2022 season and then got promoted back up again for the 2024 season for example. glennuk
Badak Lampung - Season Four - Indonesian League Two - End of Year Review League - 5th Well, what can I say except for it was pretty terrible. I think losing Nathan (YP03A) was pretty devastating and our league campaign suffered as the new youth players from the intake were not quite ready to pick up the mantle at 15/16 years old. We weren't good enough going forward especially and this has to improve if we are to make it back to League One. I am pretty dejected by this, as not only do we not go up, but that also means Nathan (YP03A) will not be able to play another season and I can not sign him to a new contract. If we went up he would be able to play and I could offer him a contract. He also is now eligible for Indonesian Nationality but does not see the point in taking it up (IT MEANS YOU CAN PLAY NATHAN!!!!!!) Indonesian Cup We are still basically throwing the cup games. My squad is not big enough to deal with two competitions right now, so we are just playing our lower quality youth players (some not even 1* current ability) and usually lose in the first or second round. If we end up getting anywhere I will post the screenshots, but right now that looks unlikely. The Squad We are now almost completely Youth Intake players, with our GK, two CMs and AMR being the only ones left of the old guard. The brightest spot this season was seeing Ismail Hardianto (YP04A) take on the mantle of striker and get 11 goals in 14 appearances. That is pretty comforting considering that he is only 16 years old. The Finances We are still hovering in the black for most of the season (usually until the last couple of months), but these new sponsorship deals will do the world of good. Nathan (YP03A) shirts are still selling well Other News - Upgrades a-plenty Academy Coaching - Good to Excellent Youth Recruitment - Good to Excellent New Contract - Secured - 1 year with a 1 year extension if we get promoted. Popular Post XaW
XaW - Follo FK - Season 2023 (Season 1) - PostNord-ligaen Avdeling 2 Squad | Transfers | Finances First season was a major success for us. As I know the team, I know they fit well into my preferred tactic, so it's not really a surprise for me that we did well, but it was far from as good as I've done previously with the team. In the end we did go up, but we had to go the long way about it. Ull/Kisa dominated the league, and we were never even close at competing on their level. Our main focus was to get ahead of Asker and Gjøvik-Lyn. Vålerenga's 2nd team can't be promoted anyway, so they were not a factor in that regard. We started our really well, as we almost followed Ull/Kisa, but the middle was dreadful, before we had a good finish to the season where we only needed a point in the final match away to Bærum to get the playoff spot. And we drew to get it. Then in the PostNord playoff we beat Grorud, who finished 2nd in the other Avdeling (sub division) of the tier, over 2 legs before the final match was against a very strong Sarpsborg 08 team. They surprisingly finished 3rd bottom in the tier above us, and they are a fully professional side who was in the top tier not long ago. We held them to a 1-1 draw, but then dominated the penalty shootout to gain the promotion. I really don't think we'll ruffle many feathers next season, and we might even have to fight against going down, but we'll give it our all. The intake this season was decent, but we need better players to grow the club into a better side. At least I got some improvements accepted this season. The big issue going forward will be that we are semi-pro and most teams in the 2nd tier is fully professional, so we are fighting an uphill battle for the foreseeable future. Norgesmesterskapet: We had a really good run as we beat Vidar, Raufoss, and Stabæk (top tier!) before we finally succumbed to Strømsgodset in the 4th round. Around the world 2nd team They only played friendlies this season. U19s They finished 4th in the Norwegian U19 Oslo 1 this season. jmalonioshaky
Calcio Catania Frustrated after my failure or a save in Spain with Salamanca, I decided to try a different country. Italy regularly has big clubs that go bust and are re-founded in the lower divisions, and having done so in recent years, Catania and Livorno are eligible for this challenge. Catania was better than Livorno in every metric. Bigger stadium, better facilities, better finances, better players. So the choice was an easy one. Spoiler 23/24 Season review Starting with a few million in the bank was great as I was able to soon convince the board to improve the already excellent training facilities as well as the Junior coaching and Yth recruitment. The 2024 intake was good, with these 3 being the best. Spoiler We finished the season a respectable 7th position in the league, getting knocked out of the playoffs in the 2nd round. DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2025/26 The Spartans Season Summary The highlights of the season were our decent cup runs, though we continued our struggles in the league. Season Details League Table - By finishing sixth, we once again missed out on the promotion playoffs. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - A long winless run from December to February put paid to any chance we had of reaching the promotion playoffs. Scottish Cup - We enjoyed another good cup run that ended at the fourth round stage as we were defeated away to gisnts Aberdeen. Premier Sports Cup - By finishing second in our group, we qualified for the knockout rounds for the first time. We played exceptionally well at home to top flight Motherwell in round two, but an extra time goal proved to be our undoing. SPFL Trust Trophy - A third round home defeat to fellow basement club Forfar Athletic ended our interest in this competition for another year. Friendlies - A solitary defeat at home to Kilmarnock was the only blemish in an otherwise pleasing pre season campaign. Squad - We have improved considerably after our most recent youth intake. Squad Dynamics - Considering our struggles, this is better than I expected. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - 1, 2 & 3 - A huge amount of youngsters departed on loan to gain some much needed experience. Youth Candidates - We received a simply fabulous intake, with right winger Andy Houston YP26G39 already one of the best players at the club. Finances - We made another small profit so our bank balance has grown once again. Key Players Fynlay Mackenzie - I am not sure how much longer I can hold on to the cntre back. There are plenty of clubs sniffing around him. Ryan Watterson YP24F6 - The central defender played out of his skin this year. A real talent. Andy Murphy - Our goalkeeper was a very busy man. Bradley Whyte - Playing as a left winger, he was brilliant one week and anonymous the next. Frustratingly inconsistent. Louis Cross YP25F22 - A surprisingly good season from the young central midfielder, someone who started the season as an understudy. Next Season A sixth place finish is an improvement, though we are still some way off a promotion playoff place. I imagine it's really tough with such a small squad in England, given it's so much more competitive than the nation's I've played in. I guess you just need to go easy on training in the hope of minimising injuries until that intake comes along, and play to the FM gods

Popular Post libbyshuss
Aachen - Germany Bundesliga - 2036/37 Season Summary Back in the Bundesliga! I was expecting a struggle but I didn't get one. We were generally really good, even getting as high as seventh before christmas. We slipped a bit after but were still pretty good. Very pleased with this finish! Players I put our success down to my tactical genius, obviously. I spent preseasn trying to work out which of my strikers to play up front and which to play AMC. They are both much, much better as AMC. In the end I just figured - why not play both of them there? So I did! 4-6-0 for the first time since Football Manager Live and Gameworld Lineker! I kept trying 4-2-3-1 throughout the season but we inevitable just played worse whenever i did. So I stuck with 4-6-0 and there we are! frustrating, because Patrick Forster 34A would be such a good advanced forward if he had any pace. But he can't play there - he's much more effective arriving late in the box. Look at him - he could be the first Wonderkid! so obviously he's already complaining our squad isn't good enough to match his ambitions.... but there's a lovely 3 year optional contract extension waiting to be triggered mwah ha ha ha Youth nice preview, but GK, CB and DM aren't the most exciting positions ok, 4 elite talents is not too shabby! Best two are these:- surely a future international in Almeida! Finances and Upgrades Maxxed out everything except youth facilities. and have i got the option to ask for improvements there? nope! so.... Career can we keep it up? hopefully. Only issue i got is loads of promising youngsters knocking on the door but i struggled to find any loan moves. I only got 2 out and could easily have got 20. I had to keep arranging friendlies for the youth teams just to keep all players relatively fresh. Its nuts how many prospects i got, but no idea which ones will/won't make it.

Sometimes they let players go (frees or sold), relied on loan players etc. Definitely tough in England with 14 players. But the good news is once that first intake comes in you have no choice but to play the best of them.

Popular Post Neo_Geo
LIMAVADY STABLE YET UNSPECTACULAR FOURTH SEASON More Youth DetailsYouth Intake PreviewYouth Intake Top 5 Season Review Season 4 done and dusted with an improved league finish of 5th, highest points tally, scored more, conceded less although our average ratings only have one player above 7 and of course its Guba (Elite1)! In the cups we made the progress I was hoping for reaching 2 finals but losing both and being put out away to Linfield 4 seasons in is not something to be ashamed of. I've been guilty of chopping and changing the formation a bit this year and now with a new AMC who looks pretty decent I may go for the classic 4-2-3-1 formation though Stephen Anderson (Elite3) bagged an impressive 23 goals this term so perhaps a two striker formation is still the way to go. Guba won both the player and young player of the season (as well as the Belfast Ulster player and young player of the season so I'm really dreading when his contract is up as it doesn't look like there is any interest outside of Northern Ireland and Linfield so far have offered peanuts for him. He's contracted for another 2 and a half seasons but his reason for not talking is the quality of the squad which I don't see changing that dramatically in that timeframe. The intake was very pleasing this year with 14 elites and 2 top with 15 players signed up. The main talking point is a model citizen Portuguese right winger which was a surprise to see given my HoYD's so far in this save haven't had amazing personalities (Fairly Loyal, Balanced and now Sporting) but I am not complaining. Aguilar (Elite4) also has the added bonus that he's actually better than my first team options at present so he finished off the season playing as first choice. I also had an upgrade on the left wing, left full back, centre back and goalkeeper. The one thing I think will stunt my progress is the training facilities as Matthew Jones (Elite1) proved when he went on loan to Haverfordwest in Wales where they have below average training facilities whilst I have basic and he was showing signs of improvement that I just wasn't getting here. Until we can get into Europe I don't see me being able to get the board to agree to improving the facilities and the finances probably won't be helped by this piece of news..... Repayments have started on the loan and are £10k a month, which is reasonable but I do think it will mean each season we will make a loss until European football can be obtained (or selling players). The board did agree to improving the Junior Coaching and maxing out the Youth Recruitment so I'm hoping in the next couple of years I'll see an improvement in the quality of player coming through. Next Season's Aims I'm happy with the position the club is in at the moment, whilst I'd love to qualify for Europe we can't maintain a winning run long enough to get in outright and the team at the moment seems to bottle the big occasions (I was outclassed again in the European Place Play-offs by Cliftonville who I finished above in the table). We seem really capable of beating the teams at the lower end of the table but still get drubbed by the big teams in the league so I will look to continue the steady progress that we have shown.

The main aim every season is to try and improve on the season before. This year was another successful season in that regard. We achieved our first ever top 10 finish in The Championship. And we had some amazing support from the stand through out the season too. Are previous big sale supplied some more money to the club with one of the clauses being triggered. The board used the money wisely and invested in the club training facilities. And our youth intake, once again, was looking good. Another "Golden Generation" potentially on the way! We march on to Season 25 with the playoffs certainly in our sites. Hopefully we can attack them late on take form with us for a potential shot at the Premier League. On we go to Season 25 WISH US LUCK !
DazRTaylor
Youth Candidates Season 2026/27 The Spartans My hopes were not high having seen our preview: The group are better than I expected with some players going straight into the first team squad.
Neo_Geo
@DazRTaylor Wringe looks decent as a free kick taker at 16, I never seem to get higher than a 10 for free kick taking. Also the mercenary personality is seen as a negative by the game (when you order the squad by personality it groups it alongside unambitious etc.) however I treat it as a positive one given it has high ambition and often a high determination, they are however unloyal which isn’t great in this challenge but even when I have loyal players they jump ship as soon as they can
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2026/27 The Spartans Season Summary We were disappointing in the cups though we returning to the promotion playoffs Season Details League Table - By finishing fourth, we found ourselves back in the promotion playoffs. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We started off well though find life quite difficult post Christmas. Promotion Playoffs - Stirling Albion, who finished in the relegation playoff place in the league above, proved too strong over two legs as we went out at the semi final stage. Scottish Cup - We once again reached the fourth round before giants Rangers proved to be far too strong at home. I was gutted we were drawn at home as the money from an away tie would of been lovely. Premier Sports Cup - We finished third in our group, which eliminated the club at the first hurdle. SPFL Trust Trophy - We were poor in losing at home to third tier side Cove Rangers in the third round. Friendlies - It was a mixed bag of results during our pre season campaign. Squad - We have improved somewhat though we are not strong enough to challenge for the title just yet. Squad Dynamics - This is quite good, despite our recent run of poor form. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out 1, 2 & 3 - We sold our best player for a six figure transfer fee, otherwise this is full of backup players leaving on a free transfer or youngsters departing on loan. Youth Candidates - It was another good intake with central midfielder Ally Wringe YP27D52 looking particularly good. Finances - We made a small loss this year as the costs of our youth academy are starting to kick in. Key Players Ryan Watterson YP24F6 - Playing in central defence, he is one of our best players. Andy Murphy - The goalkeeper has gone out on a high, he has decided to retire at the end of the season, as he had a great campaign. Mark McGowan YP26B34 - He forced his way into the starting eleven when our formed dipped and a return of 19 goals in 28 appearances certainly made its mark. Brendan Winton YP24J10 - The striker was exceptional for the entire season. Harvey Swann - The left back had his best season in years. dkouv
Operário dos Açores – Season 16 (2038/39) Primeira Liga Well, what would you know - we went ahead and won the league! We had an amazing start to the season, winning 11 out of 12 while our rivals kept dropping points. Our form was not as good afterwards, but we still had enough points in the bank to win the title, largely thanks to a bore 0-0 draw at home to Porto at the tail-end of the season. Europa League Another last 16 exit, but this one was much closer, losing to Galatasaray after two games in which we actually had the better chances. Domestic Cups Early exits allowed us to focus on the league, which paid off. Players Our defence was even more solid this year thanks to the emergence of a young rightback, but the true stars were in attack, with two season-10 intake prospects shining, Dinis Soares 10a (AMLC) is now our best player wanted by a bunch of European clubs, and Sabino Mont’Alverne 10b (AMRLC) played the assist king from midfield. Youth intake (preview) Amazing! Easily the best intake of the game. Given the level the team is playing at, to have 6 elite prospects with 3 of them having 2* CA is pretty special. Plenty of rightbacks too all of a sudden, from having none it may become our strongest position in a few years’ time. Facilities More improvements, we’ll be at Great-Great-Exceptional-Exceptional for facilities and coaching in a few months’ time. It clearly paid off in the intake this year. Transfers nothing of note, but starting to reject bids from upper mid-table German and English teams for a few of our better players. russ the womble
The Table Spoiler Well off the pace.. Having not played for a while, loaded back in and went on a blinding run of defeats, so finished bottom of the Championship Group. Meh.. The Team Spoiler Lots of room for growth, as Antman would say The Talent Spoiler The Intake Spoiler The Stats Spoiler The Bank Spoiler The Fans Spoiler Overall, probably need to be patient and see if these players can develop a bit more. May think about a tactical change at some point if I can't make more progress.

glennuk
Badak Lampung - Season Five - Indonesian League Two - Youth Preview & Intake Youth Preview Another preview that doesn't really blow me away. The best news being that midfield is the area that we still have some OG (non-youth) players. So getting as many CMs as possible is going to be useful. However we are more in need of creative midfielders than defensive ones. A backup striker would also be useful, as again we won't be able to use Nathan (YP03A) in the league this year. Youth Intake Well this is actually much better than expected, with 10 elite talents. A few 2* CA (which is what some of our first eleven are rated as) and a 3.5* CA Deep Lying Playmaker! Once again all Indonesian nationality and once again some mixed personalities in there, but having two Fairly Professional players high up the list (sorted by ability) is good to see. Top 3 - Youth Intake 5 Yana Arifin (YP05A) - No surprises here. He is by far the best of this intake and one of the best we have had in these first 5 years. Will slot into the first team rotation straight away, with impressive tackling and some pretty good mental attributes. It is a pity that his passing is relatively poor (which will be worked on), which takes away his Deep Lying Playmaker potential, and his marking is poor (which limits his Ball Winning Midfielder potential). BUT the hope is he will improve quickly. At this level he is still serviceable, but not a star.....yet. Wahyu Prakoso (YP05B) - Perhaps a bit of a controversial pick as my '2nd best' as his PA is not as high as others. BUT in terms of value to the team, he will come in as 2nd choice (potentially starting some matches) RB. He has 8+ in almost all of the key attributes for a full back. Nice passing and crossing for his level too (9) and good tackling and work rate. I am actually really excited about how quickly he could come into the first 11, with my current RB not really impressing, the spot is up for grabs. Bima Nugraha (YP05C) - This guy has a pretty random assortment of attributes. The very low determination bothers me and with a different personality (and high determination) I would be much more excited. BUT the 19 teamwork and high work rate excite me. He definitely has potential and I will retrain him as a Mezzala and see where that takes us. Probably won't see much game time this season, but if he can show improvement he could be a dark horse for the first 11.
grff
Otahuhu United AFC: 2028 Season Review Promotion! Albeit a very unconvincing promotion. A season that started really well but ended with us winning just 3 games from 13 including two scoring draws in the play-off finals (thank god for away goals). Player stats weren't that great as our end of season slump drastically changed the look of some average ratings. Youth intake saw a massive jump in quality due to our junior coaching now classed as excellent. A few of the recruits will go straight into the first XI for the new season. Transfers Season history Aims for next season Hope to adjust to a higher division Improve the facilities depending on bank balance Avoid losing any key players
jmalonioshaky
Calcio Catania 24/25 Season review Progress was made this season finishing 6th, getting knocked out of the playoffs in the second round. Our 35 y/o target man Sarao was on great form again this year scoring 37 in the league and winning the top scorer. Despite this you can see we still ended with a -1 Goal difference, so hopefully my defender and GK regens develop well. Spoiler Intake I managed to get the board to increase junior coaching twice and yth recruitment once, since last years intake. It absolutely paid off as we got a brilliant intake with the best being Domenichelli, a striker/winger who has a 3 star C/A rating! He went straight to the senior team where I gave him lots of games of the bench for the rest of the season. glennuk
Badak Lampung - Season Five - Indonesian League Two - Mid Year Review Perhaps one of the best starts to any league season of FM I have ever had. 9 Games, 9 Wins and only 3 conceded half way through the First Round of the league campaign. We followed up this start with just a clear indication of the type of team we are. In a back and forward game that saw us win 5-3 with some hugely important goals to keep our undefeated season going. We continued our unbeaten season, but didn't manage to win all 18 games unfortunately. Another one of my favourite games, was when we went down to 10 men but still showed our grit and determination with a 1-0 win against relegate As Abadi Next? The Second round The next challenge is the second round of the league campaign. Finish top of our 3 team group and we get promoted again (whether we win or lose the Final). That update to come soon. Other News We have been actually playing well in the Indonesian cup, taking out some League One teams. That update will also come soon!
