Popular Post DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2033/34 Bury Season Summary A top half finish represents an excellent first season in the Championship. We were poor in the cups, however. Season Details League Table - A twelfth place finish is way above my expectations. League Fixtures 1, 2 & 3 - We were actually in the top six up until November, when the now annual collapse of form occured and we had to settle for a mid table finish. F. A. Cup - A dreadful performance at home to League Two Chester saw the club crash out at the third round stage. Carabao Cup - We went out away to fellow tier two side Lincoln City in the second round in a game where we were outclassed. Friendlies - We claimed our biggest scalp to date, Everton, in what was quite a productive pre season campaign. Squad - The rapid development of some players continues. Squad Dynamics - This is still rather good. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out 1 & 2 - There were a couple of departures for small transfer fees otherwise it was the usual amount of youngsters leaving on loan. Youth Candidates - Centre back Aiden Ward YP34A114 is the pick of a reasonable intake. Finances - We managed to keep hold of our best players but this means we once again lost a lot of money as we sink deeper into the red. Key Players Tommy Ashman YP28A17 - Our main striker has taken to the Championship like a duck to water. Joe Dymond - Back on the left wing, he enjoyewd a good season. Geoff Hayward YP30K60 - Our best player and then some. Bids of over £8m were turned down over the winter. Alan Ferguson YP31D69 - One of our best players, no matter where he plays in midfield or on the wing. Broke his ankle which ended his season prematurely. Bello Yekini YP29A34 - Our goalkeeper was a lot busier than he is used to being and on the wholem he coped with the added pressure well. Next Season A repeat of the league performance would be just fine. Popular Post Winski
IFK Lidingö FK Season 4 | 2027 Tier 2 | Superettan Obos Finances | Transfers | Club Overview | Facilities | Manager Profile | Tactic Again a very good season for us! Almost the same as last season. We started bad, but ended up very well with a 7th place. I'm very happy with the fact that we are good enough to avoid relegation, but aren't ready for promotion. And that's good for now. Some young players are now really important players for us. I'll highlight some of them. Tobias Kembel 25b was our topscorer with 14 goals this season. David Röse 25h, Johan Tranberg 25i and Sam Jurelius 25c also played a big part in our success. They are developing really well. There is interest from bigger clubs for all of them. In the Cup we won in the Second Round, but I'm still waiting for the next round to be played. Don't know exactly when that will be. U19 team Our U19 team had a great season, and are promoted to the highest youth level: Allesvanskan. Youth preview & intake For the first team in this save we had a terrible preview. We've got a new HoYD: Christian Grindheim. A well known player, at least for me, as he has played in The Netherlands for sc Heerenveen. Our previous HoYD refused to sign a new deal. But I'm happy with Christian, as he looks like a very good Head of Youth Development. But the preview didn't look good. The intake itself was okay. We got three Elite Talents. All of the best talents from this intake are attacking players. I hope we will get some more defensive players next season. I'll highlight the best 4 talents. And it's nice to see some more (2nd) nationalities in this intake Spoiler Edited November 6, 2023 by Winski Forgot a screenshot

Gonner
Austria Salzburg, Season 2, 2025/2026 - Mid-season update As usual (at least until we get promoted, maybe someday...), we take advantage of the lengthy winter break that lasts from the end of November to almost the end of February to discuss the first half of the season and the intake. Last year we were 10th with 20 points, this year we are 9th with 22 points. Optimistics will say that's an improvement, pessimistics will note that going at that pace and hoping that there is no setback, we should be in contention for promotion in about 7 or 8 seasons As the goal for this season is once more to avoid relegation while getting our youngsters up to the task, I would say that I am satisfied. We keep playing in 4-4-2, Wing Play, either with advanced wingers when we are favourites, and a flat line when I believe we should be a little more cautious. Second intake, last year Enes Sabic promised me an excellent Centre-Back and I did not get it but we got a good striker. This year, it is more of the same, CB & Striker. CB is still one of our more pressing need, so I will take it if it indeed materializes.

Popular Post HanziZoloman
"We got what we came for." Earl of Grey Season X / the year 2052 Champions EFL2 "check" Spoiler This was a hard year despite the wonderful finish. We had a tough start with 4 losses from 5 games and a few phases in the year where we had difficulties but when it counted most, like when we needed the points or faced the current 1st place, we were there on spot and won it. We had 3 losses in February when it counted a lot and the top of the table was close together but turned things around again against then 1st Blackpool. Oh it was a beautiful season. We didn't have that one player who stood out despite having the most goals (now 99 one match left). If there is one player to name that would be 18 yo Fabjon Mara who took his first steps in first team in the crunch time of the season and delivered. He came into first team after our Australians left. Spoiler If anything it was a team success. We are sad to announce the retirement of long term servant and Ass Man of the Earl: Ryan Taylor who joined Ricay 2024 as a coach and therefor has been with us from the start. He was one of the first signings of the young Earl. Thank you Ryan for your loyal and competent work in all the years. We're happy to present the promotion in your final year. Tactically we developed our 4231 into a more possession and dominating shape: Here a lot of input came by the skillful @Rashidi tactical wise man and helpful FM maniac. The positional play came to Ricay with an AP(A) and a VOL(S/A) and it works just great. Spoiler

BustaRaymes
Now that the full game is released, I'll be jumping back in tomorrow Maybe for once I won't go with a small nation, thinking of either Spain or Italy. OlivierL
Loaded Belgium on the full game and tested it with a few teams. After one season holiday , i took over the following teams: Rupel Boom +606k euro . After one season => - 955K = they lost 1.5m Capellen -284k . after one season => - 596K = they lost 312k Hoogstraten -236k. after one season => -7.39k = they lost 229K Dessel +469K. after one season => -340K = they lost 809K Biggest expenditure : Player Wages - Staff wages - Youth Setup costs. Teams like Dessel, hoogstraten and Capellen don't have an expensive squad / wages but have a big youth setup cost. I need to test this a second time with different teams but the Belgium bug still seems to be alive. @Bartrcm@Perre8@flyd Edited November 6, 2023 by OlivierL

Have to admit we were lucky that we beat BDFSP in the Semi-Final and got the 4th best team in the league for the final. Spoiler Thank god I brought Neblett back from loan at BDSFP the week prior due to a striker injury crisis as my #6 Striker showed up and produced a hat trick to lead essentially my youth team to victory. I was scared going into the final minutes when we gave up 2 goals to almost throw the game, but my reserve players held till the end and we won! North American Champions League: Since we didn't play in the 2046 NACL we just have this year's Caribbean Group stage & Playoff: Carribean Group Stage It took goal differential as we drew with Cibao in the first match, but we advance! Carribean Playoff We advance to the Caribbean Playoff against our regular foe Humble Lion. 1st Leg Spoiler was in Barbados and it was a tight affair for the first 80’ and then they had an absolute defensive collapse starting with conceding a penalty that Carrillo converted to get a brace. Matches: Spoiler Reserve & U18s: In a shocking move our Reserve team were invited to the Italy Youth International! How'd we do against the big boy clubs (even if they are all unloaded)? I'll Take a QF Performance, after getting 2nd in a decently strong group: Squad: Star Strikers: Carrillo has succeeded in mentoring his understudy up into Perfectionist! I now have two amazing Pressing Forwards (for the North American Level). As you can see in the comparison, they are very similar players though Carrillo is slightly superior. However, Nurse still has potential to improve more so that may change in the coming years. The big negative to Nurse that hasn't seemed to be fixed by mentoring is his inconsistency & big match performance. He does have a 2.2M release clause that I can hopefully do away with this year as I don't want him to get snapped up by an English club due to his 2nd nationality. Spoiler Center Mids: I have a great group of 20-21 year-old attacking CMs. who fill the CM-L & CM-R roles in my 3-5-2. Gilkes is the most promising of the group with his high potential remaining and the personality to reach it. Oddly 3 of 4 are left footed, which slants our coverage to the left side. Spoiler Central Defenders: Our star 21 year-old CD is our Italian player. Idealy if I had proper CD depth he would be a DM/CM-D as he is short for my liking at 5'10". We then have 4 other CDs who are all equally competent for us. I usually select either Applewhaite or Brathwaite as the central CD-C. Then Sargeant or Weekes play the other side CD-D. Spoiler Transfers: For some reason Candian clubs want to pay 400k for our depth rotational WB-L. Was happy to sell him, he leaves in February. Spoiler Best XI: FM Screenshots: Excel Tables: When I was making these I realized my original view didn't include Average Rating so its not in any of the tables. I'm still being lazy so haven't fixed for repeats, when I stop spending my free time playing the save I'll get to it... Career: Spoiler Season: Spoiler Head Coach: Club Improvements: Spending the dollars we get from the cup (1M) and increased gate receipts. Youth Academy: HOYD: You'll see the intake shortly that made me decide my HOYD's time was over and the development HOYD was promoted. By changing we are improving: Personality (Model Citizen vs Fairly Professional), Judging Current Ability (+2), Judging Potential Ability (+1) & Determination (+7). The sacrifice we are making is in Reputation (-1.5*) & lower Working with youngsters (-3). For nation-knowledge we gave Mighty a coaching course and he's up to full Barbados knowledge already. Old HOYD: Spoiler New HOYD (Post Course): Spoiler Youth Intake Preview: Youth Intake: Top 3 Players: This might be the worst intake of all, literally none of these players have CA that excites me. Poached Player! Kind of bummed as this would have been perfect timing for our next GK. Mastrantoni Italy U-21! We've got our first European Youth International! Don't care that its just 5 min against a very bad nation, still counts. Excel Tables: Barbados National Team: Gold Cup The Mexican juggernaut steamrolled the group, and Barbados was best of the rest! In the Quarter Finals Barbados was matched up with Jamaica, who just months earlier was beaten in a friendly. Could Barbados repeat the results? Spoiler Sadly No Nations League B: They have done it and gotten promotion to Nations League A! It has to be said this was a very successful 2047 Campaign. A Gold Cup Quarter Final & Nations League promotion in the same year is fantastic. With the promotion into Division A Barbados has broken the top 100! Road View Internationals: Barbados Main: Barbados Youth: Summary We are in the golden window to complete the challenge. Our senior star players are all 28-29 and your young stars are all 20-21, so we have a good 6 seasons with this group of players before I need to rely on intake players from my new HOYD. Popular Post BustaRaymes
Ever since I thought of starting a save tomorrow, I was stuck on the thought. So here we are, Starfield will have to wait for a bit. After some liberation with my girlfriend (i.e. she decides, I don't even get a say in fictional events) on where she would want to live, I ended up on the Italian west coast, just below Naples: ASD Nocerina 1910 Nocerina's golden years were in 1978 and 2012, both seasons they had a single year in Serie B. Suffice to say, enough to be gained for this man, fresh out of the nearest Italian barber: Let the slog commence!

Popular Post andershs
Macclesfield FC (England) Season 1 - 2024/25 What a strange, but fantastic season. This is easily the best start and the best season I have had in FM for quite some years, let alone in this youth challenge. We somehow won the first 9 matches and 14 of 17 matches. After that it was more as expected for a promoted team. As I noted in the previous post, we were either on top in the matches or way off the beat. First in the 37th try, we actually managed to draw a league match. Crazy. But to make matters even more surreal, we managed to stay in the play-off positions and finished in 6th. Furthermore, we made it all the way through the play-offs and got promoted. This hasn't happened for me in quite some editions of FM. But very good times. League (Results 1, Results 2, Cups, League Chart) - As written above a very strange, but at the same time fantastic season. Alex Curran was our topscorer. Team (Details 1, Details 2) - Some fantastic performances from Alex Curran, Alex Hurst and John Rooney. Ryan Qualter was our best defender. I am however seriously worried about our unexpected promotion, because most of our midfielders and Ryan Qualter is 33+. I fear, that we will struggle immensely in the VNL next year, and our first intake is too young to take over. Facilities - Given the good season, I managed to squeeze in improvements to the Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment. They are now Average and Fairly basic respectively. Moreover, the board decided to convert 1000 standing places (is that the correct term?) to 500 seats as it is the rules in VNL. Moreover, because of our impressive finances, I asked for improved training facilities as they were automatically downgraded. Finances - Macclesfield FC has a very strong economy, and with an average attendance of 3986 in VNLN, we turned in a healty profit each month surpassing £1 million in the end of the season before the training facilities upgrade. Youth Intake - Given the mediocre preview, I was actually satisfied. Tosin Kypriadis is a much needed central midfielder, and Alan Corcoran looks like my next right full back. Conor Corbett could become a decent striker. Nicky Payne could become a decent central defender. A wildcard is Ahmed Akpan. He looks decent, but a winger without any speed is not promising. I could also include Ben Henderson. Decent potential, but with Determination of 1, it is unlikely to happen for him. No Transfers in.. Goal for next season: Survive. Period. I fear badly for our performance levels next season with my ageing midfield. Hopefully, we can begin to blend in the players from the first intake, but I wouldn't be surprised if we are relegated. Popular Post JLAB
Real Jaén Season 1 - Taking Charge Today, we start our new journey in Spain as the manager of Real Jaén. I have never managed in the new format of Spain, so this will be a brand new experience for me. We started with no coaching badges and only a Sunday League Footballer experience per the requirements. The board are requesting that we get a mid-table finish in the Segunda Federación Grupo IV every single season. The supporters have requested that we become an established Segunda Federación Grupo IV team but finish above Linares. I am prepared to suffer, for Godwin Buhari is my best LB at the club. This is not going to be a pretty first season at the club.
Potat
FC Maruyasu Okazaki 2026 - Season 3 Mid-Season Update Progress has really slowed with this save over the last few days, after getting promoted to J2, I knew we were going to struggle but it's been very rough and demotivating so far. We've one once but other than that it's been miserable with our defense simply being too bad to survive in this league, combined with season-ending injuries to two starters as well as losing my full-back pairing for free last season I am out of ideas. We're back to being the worst team in the league defending crosses meaning we can't sit deep, and we aren't good enough to push up high up the pitch. We are still £10m in debt meaning no more upgrades for the foreseeable future and with poor youth facilities we can't rely on many youngsters. Anyway, that's the end of my rant its looking bad and the only silver lining is somehow we're not bottom. Edited November 6, 2023 by Potat

Apparently, the Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment upgrades from season one, and the ones I have managed to get through in season two is paying dividends. Popular Post The_Gato_In_Goal
Haringey Borough - Youth Intake and Youth Review Season 4 Decent intake with a couple of elite talents. My squad is fleshed out to the point at which I can be selective about who I sign. They either need to have high CA or not bad personalities. PA means nothing at this level so if you have a bad personality and aren't good enough to play right away, you're not getting signed. With the addition of Al-Kinda 04a, we just need a youth from South America to complete the bingo challenge of a youth player born in each continent, Spoiler We already have a ton of wingers, but Al-Kindi 04a has height and pace and technical ability, making him the first to have all 3. Class of 2027 Update Murray 03d has been brilliant this season and is improving a ton. Has 5 goals and 10 assists with a 6.99 rating in only 28(5) appearances/ Spoiler I want to phase out our original center backs after this season, so I gave Nicholls 03h a ton of playing time and he's performed ok, but hasn;t developed as much as I'd hoped yet. Recently we've started to see some arrows so hoping he can continue that into next season. Spoiler Likewise, Cox 03b has been just ok, and wanted to see him develop more. Our 1 striker formation has relegated him to being an IF(A), so that may explain some of it. Spoiler Porter 03a has gotten less playing time, but has scored 13 goals this year. His improvement has been shoddy however, Spoiler Class of 2026 Update Smith 02a is now the best player in the squad. He's still pretty short for a fullback and has some competition coming through the ranks, so I'd be interested to see if he can lockdown that spot or if he gets sold for good change the next few seasons. Spoiler Wilson 02c has improved his play this season and has developed more. Spoiler Paulo 01d is running out of time to develop now. He already risks being supplanted by the younger generation. Spoiler Similar to Nicholls 03h, Camm 02f has been given an extended spell in the first team and has held his own. Spoiler Class of 2025 Update Graham 01a runs the risk of being supplanted as well on the left wing. His performance has dropped this season and has struggled to get constant minutes. Spoiler Rea 01b leads the team in minutes, which is an example of how much I wish we could get a right-footed fullback coming through to compete with him. His performances have been fine, but it always feels like we can do better. Spoiler Colin Morgan 01c has continued to develop, but his play hasn't taken the step up like that of Wilson 02c. We have lots of depth in the midfield, so he could be in danger of losing a spot. Spoiler John 01d needs to develop or risk suffering the same fate in the midfield. Spoiler

Popular Post thomas_e
Energie Cottbus Season Summary 2029 - 2030 Bundesliga survival Our first season in the Bundesliga and we managed a very respectable 12th place. A great 5-0 win over Koln (who played with 10 men for 80 minutes) in the last game of the season got us ahead of Hoffenheim on aggregate. It was a season with a lot of losses, but we were never in the relegation zone at any point! A fantastic 2-2 draw at home against Dortmund in the season opener gave me a lot of optimism and we even went unbeaten for the first 5 games of the season. That obviously didn't last, but I think we wer fantastic to stay in the league. The team is now basically a few hugely talented and gifted players, combined with several players that wouldnt even be considered by a 2nd Bundesliga team. The usual Youth Academy Challenge team that is!!! I hope we can build on this season and survive another year! PS! This challenge is certainly made easier by the broken AI, especially with a lot of the opposition teams involved in European football. The lack of squad rotation by the AI doesnt make this the polished game we were promised, it is borderline broken. JLAB
Real Jaén - Season 1 - Building My Backroom Team When I started this challenge, I knew that the first thing that I wanted to do would be to build my backroom team and work on a tactic. So, my first order of business was to bring in an assistant manager, and I managed that by bringing Juanma Ortiz to the club. He has some good attributes for the role. Bringing in a new Head of Youth Development was also on my list. While his preferred formation is not what I was looking for, he had better attributes and personality than his predecessor. We brought in a goalkeeping coach who could always be better but is working towards his Continental Pro Licence. We brought in Diego Gutiérrez to improve our fitness coach position after I found out my previous fitness coach had been offered a new contract before I arrived. I brought in Eduardo Laencina to become my leading overall coach at the club. He's got lots of promise, and now that he's studying his Continental C Licence, I believe he'll get better very quickly. I brought in Jorge Corrales to be my new Head Performance Analyst. He's unambitious, but he's suitable for the role in the lower leagues. Juanjo Ramos is my new performance analyst at the club. He's only 23, so he can improve over time. José Alejandro Garcia is probably my most important signing since he is my new Head Physio and is outstanding for our level. Miguel Domingo is my new Head of Sports Science and looks suitable for our level. Lila has joined as our Chief Scout and looks fantastic for our level. Samu also looks great for our level for a scout we just signed. Hugo Issa is our new Director of Football and is a complete upgrade on the man he replaced. We've recently brought in Francisco Dealbert to become our Set Piece Coach. There are some areas that I'm not happy with, but he's useful either way. That's all of the backroom staff members we've brought in over the summer, and now we need to see how we do in the upcoming season. If you want to keep track of the series if I miss a day of posting here, watching videos like the one linked below is the best way to keep track of my attempt at the Youth Academy Challenge in Spain.
