End-of-Season Review

Season 2041/42

Le Puy

Season Summary- Yet another improvement this season, finishing 8th with a record amount of points. We could have done better if it wasn't for a horrible ending to the season in which we lost 4 of our last 6 games. We had a decent run to the quarter-finals in the cup but were knocked out by a second-division side.

We have finally played our last game at our 4800 capacity stadium (by far the smallest stadium in ligue 1], from next season we will move into our 21k stadium

We also got our first 2 players to be part of the French national squad with 18-year-old Elouan Lefranc being one of the 2 (rather surprisingly) and Gerald Bruyere the other

We also finally got our first affiliate which will benefit our youth intake, with their now being a link between us and Shonan Bellmare (in Japan) and Generation foot (in Senegal)

Transfers- No major transfers were done this season, but we have had to constantly reject offers for Botamba and Bruyere

Youth Candidates- This looked like an amazing youth intake with 3 A's in key positions. But it turned out to be not as good as first expected, we had 3 elite talents with the best of the bunch being Cameron Johnston a CB who hopefully will help strengthen in one of our weakest positions in the squad currently.

Key Players

POTS and top assister- Botamba was yet again the POTS, with 4 goals and 10 assists he maintains his place as the most important player. There is a clear difference between how we play with him and how we suffer without him.

Top Scorer- Nkem regained his spot as top scorer, with 11 goals in Ligue 1. While he still isn't prolific enough as a striker, he is able to provide a better outlet than our other strikers.

The best new youngster- Lucas Didier was the best player from last season's youth intake, he was loaned out to our affiliate and was able to do a decent job there.

Austria - 2-26/27 - Division 1

Another Solid Season in Division 1 as Wels Finish Creditable 5th

Yep, not a bad season all round, although our finish was helped by winning our last 5 on the bounce. in truth we were never good enough for promotion and never bad enough for relegation. For the future it's just a case of how seamlessly we can replace legacy players with the youth players

Players

Our first breakthrough youth player! Lennart Müller 25B was thrown in at right wing more out of desperation than anything but he was brilliant. The only reason being his pace obviously, but it makes a huge difference at this level!

Youth

So I was looking forward to this with an exceptional youth recruitment, so you can imagine my disappointment at the preview. All rubbish!

But when the intake came in it actually wasn't that bad. A terrible preview with exceptional recruitment at this level can still give you 3 elite talents! lovely stuff!

I'm really low on defenders so there's more than a good chance we'll see those three elites in the first team sooner rather than later.

A really good season for us... eventually! This was a strange season for us, as it was a season of three's. The first third of the season we did great and were hovering around the playoff spot, the second part we went on a massive losing streak while dropping down the table. The first third we started to win again and eventually settled just outside the playoff spots. All in all, a very good season, but that 8 loss streak needs to be sorted out for next season. If we can avoid that, we might have an outside chance of a playoff spot next season. I will point out that Rosenborg for some reason got relegated into this tier last season, and while they got promoted, they still didn't win the league. That gotta hurt for the Trønders in here!

Norgesmesterskapet: We beat Vindbjart before losing to Odd in the 2nd round.

Jan Christian Ferrer 24d - He was good the chances he got, but I'm unsure if he is talented enough to improve much.
Øyvind Blomkvist 25a - I'm trying to get him into the squad, but he doesn't stand out much yet. Quite balanced though.

2038/39 End of Season Review

A couple of upsets here! We managed to defeat Mohun Bagan in the league playoffs but Mumbai City were still there to defeat us whilst we end up out on our own in 3rd, 12 behind Mohun Bagan & 10 ahead of 4th placed NorthEast United.

We have a new HoYD this season and finally had another upgrade to Junior Coaching so I was optimistic despite everyone being rated just a C.

And this leaves me plenty to be excited about, what an intake!

HERLEV IF: 2025/26 (Season 2)

Another season in the 3. Liga with a solid finish, we barely missed out on the promotion stage but finished well in the relegation stage and were never really worried about relegation.

A couple of our young players are developing nicely, namely Thomas Clifford and our new star intake recruit, August Vendelboe who is already a 3-star central midfielder with really good vision for this level.

Class of 25 was a little bit better but we get two players with some decent CA and PA from the start. And who would not be happy with an Mbappé and a Kluvert

NK Karlovac 1919 - season 4 (2027-28) - first division

Our season started with the qualifying rounds of the Europa League, we managed to overcome Maccabi Haifa in the first round but then Rosenborg was to strong for us, we were sent to the Conference league qualification rounds.

We lost at Trencin but managed to qualify after a scintilating performance at home, after that round Maribor was the next opponent. We reached the league phase of the Conference League again!

We started very slow with 2 losses, not a surprise against Newcastle and Brondby. After that we won 2 times and got a draw against Brann. It all came to the last game at Sankt Gallen, we lost but the other teams as well so we qualified for the next round.

In the mean time we were cruising in the league, Dinamo Zagreb were from another planet this season but best of the rest is at the moment good enough for us!

With this preview i was hopeful for a good intake!

Back to Europe...

We eliminated Vojvodina, Brondy in a revanche game, then Fenerbahce! But in the end Newcastle were to strong for us, not a shame! They went on to win the league so proud of our semi final!

The league was for Dinamo Zagreb, i was competing for place 2-4 with Rijeka, and NK Lokomotiva, we managed to get second place! But with Rijeka winning the cup against Dinamo Zagreb, the Europa League place goes to them and not to us.

The intake was good, i loaded a Belgian newgen, he is pretty good and going to be the future of my defence!

After our best ever season last year we went into this season with our first taste at Europe and with a Welsh Cup title to defend.

Not particularly surprising as the Latvian side was too good for us. We went up in the 2nd leg before they turned it around to advance comfortably.

Ended up getting into the championship group fairly comfortably off of a 4 match unbeaten streak against teams around the bottom of the table.

Final Table

The wheels fell completely off the bus as we started off poorly and then I started experimenting and that went even worse. I had written off the season completely until I got a weirdly late message saying I had qualified for the European Places playoff, which I had forgotten about. I quickly tried to implement a new tactic and move some players around to maximize them hopefully before our game with Airbus. Also a quick note about Afan Lido going down with 38 points. Far and away the most a team has gone down with in this save so far. Penybont being historically bad really bolstered the point totals of everyone down there.

European Places Semifinal

As an explainer, I've been playing on Attacking for almost this entire save because our best players always seem to be up front so I want them to get as many chances as possible. Maximize their opportunities and what not. After giving up 4 goals a game in the championship phase I switched to Cautious late in the season and got my only win of the championship phase. Looking at my team, I decided to move Nuno Viegas 29a even further back and play him as a DLP on defend, while Adam Matthews 24a moved up to Attacking Mid. For once it felt like we really dominated a game, but the 94th minute equalizer was definitely a scare and we scraped by 6-5 on penalties.

European Places Final

I brought in Joe Hartley 28d who barely played this season so I could have taller fullbacks and we held them for most of the game until they surged in the last 10 minutes but we held on. We were through to Europe. Although to be honest a year like this showcases why I kinda hate this format. We deserved to be nowhere near Europe but because we finally scrounged up a correct tactic after sandbagging for 10 matches we're in.

A decent year coming fourth in the Dev league, I think as I started experimenting with my first team tactics my youth team had some issues and fell off near the end of the season to drop to 4th, when they were pretty comfortably 2nd most of the season

Definitely our longest Youth Cup run of the save, of course went out to TNS in the semis but good to get that extra game time in for our youth team

For the first time, we have had players called up to Youth International teams. Iolo Garner 28a was called up to the Welsh U18s and made 2 appearances with 1 goal. Truman Stout 28b was called up to the Welsh U19s and made 1 appearance (that lasted 1 minute in which he was injured).

Big Seasons from Garner 28a, Hughes 29c and Viegas 29a. Woeful from the defense but I feel like that's mostly my fault. Nick Morgan 26a jumped Adam Brown 27a for the starting Left Back spot this season and was the lone defensive bright spot in my estimation. Viegas 29a most likely will be start next season at CM to start as that started working better near the end of the season. Haydn Hughes 29c was the Young Player and Player of the season as voted by the fans as he had a stellar season with 15 goals and 11 assists in the league (and 17 and 12 overall). Iolo Garner 28a had a much better season with 23 goals across all competitions and 21 in the league putting him joint 2nd. Nuno Viegas 29a led the league in Player of the Matches with 9, putting up 19 goals and 13 assists overall (with 16 and 11 in the league).

Mike Jones is now retired and is an unemployed coach, Steffan Jenkins, Ryan Hudson and Kieran Miller are fully retired from football, Gabbiadini spent the year at Blaenavon Blues in the JD Cymru South, who we played in the cup although Gabbiadini didn't play in that game. Harry Benjamin was at Machynlleth in the Central Wales South League. Tommy Larsen 24b continued to be at Bangor 1876 in the Ardal Leagues.

For Players who played in the 1st Team this year

Realistically he's falling back into a place where he may be overcome quite soon and end up no longer being the 1st team starter he's been for the past 6 seasons. Interesting to note he's currently 50 league appearances away from the club record, probably will get there, but how much farther beyond 235 would he get when I don't think he'll actually grow much more.

Had one last final Hurrah in the Cup scoring 2 goals in a match, but with his contract out at the end of the season and not going to be picked up, unfortunately this post is goodbye.

Has actually developed quite nicely and staked his claim to everyday #1 LB role, was good for our team this year and the 8 assists were quite nice. Earned himself a new 2 year contract and seems to have DL well in hand for next season.

Lost out on the DL spot early in the season after a poor run of form and played Impact Sub levels since. He agreed to an amateur contract so he's being kept to be good backup, but with the DL depth that is younger at the club if he left we wouldn't be in big trouble.

A poor season for him, but still our top DR, although obviously with his current level there's room for depth to grow and catch him if he has another poor season.

Split time at starting DM, but had a dreadful season so he's on notice. I did give him a new contract, but he needs to prove he's at a level to contribute to the team going forward.

Never seems to play particularly well. Put him on a new contract but my patience isn't endless with him, no matter how good his attributes look on paper.

My backup CAM now, at some point I realized that it was stupid to have him starting when one of my strikers would probably do the job better so I put him on the bench, not that anyone played particularly well then but I think it's where he's the best fit.

My 3rd choice DC and by being on the bench, usually an option to come in at DR as well. Not playing too much or too well but fills a role neatly on the bench by covering multiple positions.

Scored the most goals for us this season, unfortunately at some point I accidentally put him on an amateur contract and now he doesn't want to sign a real contract so it's possible we might lose him for nothing in the near future, but no one has shown interest yet.

Feel bad because he's kind of a whipping boy back there. Giving up 96 goals isn't great in the season, but my tactic doesn't favor keeping goals out so for now he'll be stuck picking the ball out of the net a few times a game if things don't improve.

Not as consistent as last year and had worse output all around but still decent, if unremarkable this year.

Spent most of the year in the U19s, but I gave him his one league start in the Euro Playoff Final and he delivered, could push Adam Brown 27a to back up Nick Morgan 26a, may finally be ready for that.

Until recently he's been a fixture on my bench but doesn't tend to play. However in limited first team time this season he was actually fairly good. Striker is a bit of a logjam though so any real movement out of the U19 into the first team is unlikely.

Another depth striker who got a bit of run this season, although also most likely continuing to be in the U19s next season as Striker is already jam packed with depth even before another player got jumbled into that in the 2030 Youth Intake.

An ability to cover 3 playing positions in our formation gave him limited game time this season but it will be unlikely he gets more going forward as he barely saw play in the U19 team let alone the first team.

Our starman, I've noticed the change to Welsh on his screen so I'll be curious if he starts getting youth caps. Planning to play him farther back at CM next season. Clearly the class of the team and a fun player to watch.

One of our starting center backs. Not the greatest season but giving him time to grow and I have more optimism about him than Tristan Jones 27d.

Surprise package of the season? He outperformed his metrics and was both a goal scoring and assisting demon on the pitch. Between him and Iolo Garner 28a we had 40 goals before factoring in Ryan Morgan 28c and Nuno Viegas 29a when playing striker. If he can play up to this level going forward it's definitely huge for us.

Slightly outplayed Alex Jones 27c while splitting DM minutes with him this season, although didn't play particularly well, will be given the chance to be the #1 over Jones next season, but will need to play better than either of them did for me to write his name in pen.

His ability to play both sides on defense led him to getting spotty starts and appearances off the bench.

Made one appearance in the midst of a small injury crisis, could get a much bigger role if our DMs continue to underperform.

2030 Youth Intake

The preview suggested our worst relative intake yet.

Definitely our worst intake in a few years. No talents that immediately demand a place in our current starting XI, unlike recent years when we got Iolo Garner 28a and Truman Stout 28b and then in 2029 when we got Nuno Viegas 29a, Jack Dale 29b and Haydn Hughes 29c, but some decent talents to work with.

Our best youth prospect from this batch, Definitely can push to be in the first team and will start off as our best player off the bench.

Gonna try to retrain him to some sort of CM, hopefully he can get there as I don't currently use wingers.

Right back is a questionable position for us currently. No expectations for him to be in the first team or even on the first team bench but nice to get depth in this area.

Decent Personality, Physicals and Mentals, crap Technicals, hopefully he can develop well to push our CBs.

Another CB although at 5'9" currently training him to a different position is in order.

As a Center Attacking Mid, one for the U19 for now, maybe possibility to grow into the first team but well buried.

Retrain to a central position and see how he turns out.

A super short CM, not anywhere near first team level for now.

Another striker who is buried on the depth chart, some physicals I don't mind but ultimately one for the U19s currently.

Don't mind a versatile full back but not really on the first team level for now.

The Mentals and Physicals aren't dreadful but definitely needs to time to grow.

As one Steve Owen leaves another joins, but this one probably won't ever make the first team

Signed him for his decent personality, not really ever going to be good enough if his potential is probably around our current GK's current ability.

Conclusions

Overall I think this was a dreadful season saved by a tight run in to the Championship phase and a course correction at the last second to save Europe. We will need to be much better next season with about the same squad if we want to repeat Qualification again. And I don't think it's likely to happen unless the changes we saw late in the season are real.

Iolo Garner 28a probably passes Adam Matthews 24a as our Tagged Goals leader next season if he isn't poached by another club.

Even the small European Tour funded our first upgrade to our Youth facilities and a Youth Recruitment Upgrade.

Season 13 - 2036/37 - Czechia - First Division:

My hope was to finish in the top eight and push on as far as possible, and that's exactly what we did. I was a bit disappointed by the showing at Stoke, but a 4-2 aggregate loss to a premier league club is nothing to be upset about at this stage.

It may be a lower league position than last season, but with the increase in schedule congestion with our run in Europe, I'm very happy. Overall the season was a success.

Thankfully no big sales. I managed to fend everyone off.

Two new wonder kids, and a former in the top ten now. Both of my players are seeing plenty of first-team time for me. "33C" on Southampton now has a value of "$91-141M" with a 35% profit clause for a player I sold for $2M. I'd have rather kept him, but whenever that one goes through, I hope, it will fund the club for a few more seasons.

Thought I'd through a little world update for where we are from a build a nation PoV and a bit of the club info. For whatever reason the league history doesn't include the years the club was in the third division.

I didn't snap a screenshot at time of intake so visuals a bit different. This is another really deep intake. Might be the best potential one yet.

2037/38 Season Preview:

I don't believe we're quite ready to push for the league title yet, but with such a strong season last year I'm hoping to at least push for Champions League places.

2037 European Summer Adventure:

First up was a trip to Portugal against Estoril Praia, who have turned themselves into a top-half club. An underwhelming draw had me a bit apprehensive, but that was unfounded as we won handily at home in the second leg. After that, we welcomed Swiss Cup winners Schaffhausen, and narrowly won. A gutsy road draw sees back in the Europa League for the season season in a row.

Tougher draw than last season, but a great chance to see where we are in the world.

Wels subject to takeover, made a professional club and finish in mid-table

Another season where we made far more progress off the field than on it, which is fine as it will all pay off one day! We were again mid-table from day 1 and the most exciting thing was when we were subject to a takeover halfway through the season and the new owners first move was to make us a professional club. Very nice!

Usually I choose my HoYD based purely on personality. But after hitting exceptional youth recruitment I was really disappointed so when i saw this fella avaliable, i snapped him up, balanced personality be damned

But I was a little disappointed by the preview. One A grade and a C grade didn't bode well

So i was pretty surprised when the intake came in to see 6 elite talents in there! obviously personalities aren't great but still, it's easily our best intake yet

Career

Slow imporvements off the field - will we see a similar improvement on the field? Next season will be the first one where youth will outnumber legacy in the first team so it will be interesting to see

It's all about the small steps, aren't it? And that we did by finishing one step higher up and this time in the playoff spots. The playoff run fell short as we lost to Sandefjord in the quarter final, but still a good run in a very close and tight league. We've slowly began fielding more and more youth players this season too, even if no one are outright first team regulars yet. The board also allowed me a surprising few upgrades to the club given our financial state, but I don't mind. Being one of a few semi-pro teams, we do have that drawback that I don't really see changing any time soon, unless we get a surprise promotion some time in the future. We also got a new chairperson this season as the elections happened, but nothing much changed, as the club is run by its members, so the board situation won't change much anyway.

Norgesmesterskapet: We beat Fana, Vigør, Sandefjord, Gjøvik-Lyn, and Lyn before we lost to Bodø/Glimt in the semi final. It's a good run, but we never faced top tier teams before we got knocked out. Still, I'll take these any season.

Best players from the academy:

Frank Jakobsen 26a - Our hotshot fullback is already making moves to fight for the spot and did great when called upon.
Endri Jonuz 26b - Had a great development over the season and got a lot of game time.
Marek Kouřil 24a - Is becoming a nice backup in a few spots, but I doubt he will ever be a starter though.

Los Cerveceros have won the domestic double by first winning the Campeonato Nacional Ascenso Betsson. I would like to thank extra-time for giving me wins. My biggest rival during the campaign was Deportes Iquique. We were even till I defeated them in July.

The journey to winning Copa Chile EASY was hilarious. First division teams losing to non-playable league teams was just happening all over the place. To win the final, we scored two extra-time goals. It was also the debut of one of youth academy players, Fabrizio Ramirez Y1G. I had no right to be winning a domestic cup to be frank.

The preview said I wouldn't get any other decent players other than a high quality DM. This is a great haul of players.

The highlights from this intake: Lenes Vinés Y1A, Fabrizio Rivero Y1B, Fabrizio Ramirez Y1G (He already has a trophy to his name.), and Víctor Pastén Y1H.

IFK Lidingö season 20 / 2043 (swedish premier division)

A solid season out of relegation danger. Finished 11th with our record points haul in highest tier. In cup we finished 2nd in our group. I'd call it a slight mut steady progress.

Daniel Rynell 29C and Viktor Niklasson 36A were our best goalscorers with 7 league goals. Jonas Hermansson 40B developed into a solid premier division defender and he was sold to BVB after the season. Jörgen Nilsson 38B was one of seasons top performers but sadly his development has halted. James Kyambadde 34A is now a good Premier division midfielder and has 33caps for Uganda. Aydin Sahin 38A has developed nicely as well. 2nd choice GK Christoffer Forsgren spent the season on loan in a fellow premier division side Brobbapoijkarna.

2027/28 Sky Bet League Two Season Review

League - After promotion the target was 50 point and survival. We did that and a little bit more. The plan over the summer was to try and transition from my usual 433 to a 4231 and it took me a while, like 10 or so games, to fine tune it into something that worked and that I liked. Once we did we moved up the table but, as happens with players not ready or good enough for this league, we suffered some hammerings along the way and never really knew what you'd get from us but we were also 2nd or 3rd top scorers in the league but 5th worst defence. A 10th place finish was more than I hoped but maybe not as well as we should have as we dropped from 5th with only 1 win in our final 5 games.

FA Cup - League One Milwall knocked us out 4-1 with goals on the 80th, 92nd and 98th minute which felt harsh

League Cup - lost on pens in first round here

EFL Trophy - I rotated as much as I could in these games and lost them all

Transfers - None in, some loans out and a record sale. 150k for Tom green who I never saw as more than a backup at RB or RW so I took the money and ran. Have 10% on next transfer too which I may sell as it'll get us another 174K right now and that money would cover our stadium loan for nearly 3 months

Squad - way more home grown players now. That change in formation was for Aaron Green 26A and he scored 20 goals this year and now wants to leave to play with better players but with a year left and a 3 year extension he's going nowhere yet. However the change in formation also gave a chance to Luis Muscatt 25C as a 10 as he's too small to play as an 8 and 12 goals from him made him our 2nd top scorer

Youth Intake - The preview wasn't great and the intake matched it despite the "golden generation" tag

Adam Lloyd 28A - he's more a winger than a ST I feel but his pace is the worry
Dean Kane 28B - we need depth at DM/CM so hoping he can be our Superman there
Thomas Otto 28C - rated highest by my coaches but his height and physical makeup make concern me

2039/40 End of Season Review

Another season of being just oh so close! We lose out in the league final, the Durand Cup Final and finished 2nd in our Super Cup group behind Mohun Bagan yet again!

Our best tally in the Champions League sees us get seven points and another 3rd place finish.

Austria - 2028/29 - Division 1

Good Run At End Give Wels Surprising 3rd place finish!

yeah, it was an odd season. bouncing around mid-table before Christmas and then turning on the style after Christmas. But it was too little too late as we fell just short of promotion. No play-offs in Austria, and it doesn't matter that FC Liefering can't get promoted due to being Salzburg's baby team either!

Players

Top scorer, top assistmaker, top average rating all went to Lennart Muller 25B. He's quickly becoming our most important player - just shows how much this game engine overrates pace tbh!

An A and 2 Bs is a lovely sight! but what does that turn into?

So the obvious standout by far is Damian Delura 29A! whatever happens, i'm getting a sell on percentage for that lad! he looks so good at 15...

only 5'7 but he's still growing. by the end of the season he was 5'8! and 20 flair is very exciting..... that personality does mean I probably won't be able to hold on to him for long though.

The goal was just to attempt to avoid relegation, but we were more competitive that I'd thought. We easily cruised to a mid-table finish, which somehow meant we qualified for the play-offs and a chance to go up...

Promotion Play-offs Semi-finals

We were the better team in both legs against Beerschot, but we needed penalties to proceed. The penalty shootout finished 17-16!!! I though it would go on forever

Promotion Play-offs Final

We continued our good form and easily dispatched RFC Liège, winning both legs 3-1. Against all odds we would get a chance to go up to the Pro League!

Relegation/Promotion Playoff

We had to play Kortrijk for a chance to get promoted. It was close, but a 92 minute screamer dashed our hopes of a very unlike promotion. We were the better team yet again, but honestly we have no business in the Jupiler Pro League

The vultures are sniffing around my players, so not sure I can keep the squad together. As the B teams can't get promoted, basically every team will take part in the play-offs as has happened last season. With a bit of luck we might see ourselves promoted, although that's not the goals at the moment.

Another great season for us! For the fifth time in a row we finished in the top-3 of the league, this time 3rd. But is was probably our best season yet. We came 1st after the 8th game, and were there until 2 games before the end of the season. But it wasn't to be. But still, I'm very happy about this season. My team is very young, as most of my squad is now filled with academy players. Only one or two 'real' players are still playing regularly.
My striker Peter Lukac 24c is still scoring for fun. This season he scored his 150st goal of his career, and he had a total of 38 goals this season, which is a new personal record.

In the Cup we lost in the semi-finals against Dun. Streda.

Europe
Our best European season yet! We started in the First Q. Round of the Europa League. We won against Vikingur R., Omonoia Nicosia and Hammarby IF. We then lost in the Playoff against Anderlecht, which isn't a shame at all.
But we qualified for the Conference League League Phase! We had some fantastic results; a 2-3 away win against Basel, a win at home against Lommel SK and we somehow drew away at Besiktas. In the Knock Out Playoff Round we won against Sheriff Tiraspol. In the Round of 16 we met Stade Reims, but they were just too good. We drew 1-1 at home, but lost 3-1 away.
But we can look back at a fantastic European campaign!

Most notable players
As I said above, Peter Lukac 24c is scoring for fun. But also our other 2 strikers Marian Valek 27d and Marcel Ujlaky 25a scored lots of goals. I also need to point out Tomas Kovac 27a, who is bossing our midfield. He signed a new contract during this season, but FC Porto is interested in him. Let's hope he will stay at us for at least another season.
I also want to highlight Marek Kocis 28c, who played his first full season. He is now my number 1 RB, and is developing into a very good player for us.
And last but not least: our new goalkeeper: Marek Mudry 28a. He's better then our previous GK Rene Zakech, and he's got lots of potential.

Youth intake
A great intake! The preview showed one A, but the intake itself was a great one. We maxed out our Junior Coaching budget, and it pays off now. Some fantastic prospects in this intake!

Our youth team played their first European matches! Although it was a short experience, as they lost in the first round against Vikingur R.
In the youth league they finished 2nd, so not another title. But still a very good season for our youth players.

Upgrades
With the European money we were able to upgrade our Training- and Youth Facilities. Our facilities are looking very nice already, especially if you see where we came from.

This was just a weird first season in the top flight. I finished fourth with 12 wins, 14 draws and 4 losses. This means in the upcoming 2026 season, I will be participating in Copa CONMEBOL Sudamericana.

I don't understand how the defending champions Everton de Viña del Mar, who at two points of this season tried to hire me, underperformed. Also, Deportes Iquique who got promoted with me also overperformed.

Losses in Supercopa de Chile and got bounced in the second round of CONMEBOL Libertadores.

We were not able to defend our Copa Chile Easy title. Penalties was the name of the game for this run. We lost to eventual champions Colo Colo who achieved the domestic double.

This supposed golden generation of a youth intake only provided I think two decent players who is Enzo Contreras Y2C and Rafael Ulloa Y2F.

I lost my Assistant Manager twice in a season, Fernando Méndez and Roberto Alva. I hired Diego Godín, replacement Assistant Manager, and Sergio Agüero as part of my staff.

Season 2031 - Versport FC - J2 League

Our second season in the J2 started off really poor with only 1 win and a draw in the first six games and found ourselves in the relegation spots. I had feared we had overachieved last year and reality was sinking in. Couldnt have been further from the truth as we slowly but surely climbed the ladder through the middle part of the season then went on a strong run towards the end of the season to be in the hunt for the automatic promotion spots. We had hit second with 4 games to go but of course we drew the next game which put us back to third chasing Tokyo V in first and Oita in second. Focus was on Oita in second but what i hadnt realised was that Tokyo V had bottled it. We won our last 3 games and they lost 2 of the last 3 for us to overtake them and clinch second spot.

In the mid season transfer window, as usual we get hundreds of bids for our players and our chairman seems to be trigger happy in accepting bids. However to date, ive been able to twist his arm to wait for higher bids but with Shin Kitamura our starting AMC, he didnt allow me to protest so off he went. Luckily this didnt derail the season though i wish he had asked for more.

He did the same with our starting right back but luckily Tojo rejected the contract from Roilec who are mid table in the same league. It's not often players make sensible decisions in this game!

We did manage to finally update the youth facilities once sponsorship money came in. But before that, the board need to inject some cash to offset the losses which are getting a concern. On top of that, at the end of the season the Board made a financially crippling decision by announcing the plans to build a new 15k capacity stadium. Repayments are 225k per month which means we'll be broke for the next 10 years unless we get continental money coming in. Stadium wont be ready for another 2 years and in the meantime we are renting a 15k stadium for only 57k a year.... thank you board!

Yuta Kubota 31C might be the pick of the bunch. Has got good mentals and not overly slow for a short light framed striker

The season started with Lidingo turning pro and Taby as 1-91 fav. The team showed indifferent form in the first few games and occupied mid table all season without threatening promotion. Not entered in the swedish cup.

Finances continue to slowly creep downwards even though i have cut back were i can.

The best players were Jonsson and Hjort. Maholli finally retired after 83 goals in 158 games for me, he remains as a coach.

The youth preview promised a decent striker although the actual intake had a lot of players with good potential. Slightly hard to see why Karlsson was rated quite highly. Amer and Krantz have potential in midfield.

Skiljebo also turned pro before the season and i tweaked the tactics to go go more direct which had an immediate impact in scoring 6 goals in the first 33 mins of the 1st game of the season. After winning the first 4 games the team falted by drawing a lot and only winning 1 in the next 7. They bounced back to only drop 2 points in the next 9 games to go top and look favourites for promotion. Going into the last game the team were still top but a draw allowed Stockholm to overtake them. This meant the team went into the playoffs wher they won the 2 games in the group stage to progress to the final playoff game against Kumla. The team drew 0-0 away in the first leg. In the home the leg the team were really poor and trailed for much of the match before forcing ET and then winning on penalties to gain promotion.

Not entered again the swedish cup, can't work out which teams are being selected ahead of me as its based on regions.

Finances actually improved as the playoff winner gets prize money (the league winner doesn't!).

Jonsson was my top scorer and has become a club legend. Hjort was injured for 4 months but Lindback stepped up to ensure he wasn't missed. Davidsson was also outstanding for much of the season.

With Maholli's retirement the youth strikers had to step up and Lindqvist did a decent job after starting the season as backup to Kadric.

The youth preview promised more depth of players and so it proved. Berggren and Henriksson were teh best of the intake. My U-19s got promoted to the highest youth league.

I think Karlsson looks really decent, speedy, great physicals (apart from Strength, but you should be able to focus on that and develop it). Good Determination and Work Rate - looks very good!

he's still only 3rd choice striker and hasn't played for me yet but has gone on loan this season. It was his poor mentals i did not like. Krantz has played a few games.

Due to my poor training facilities it has been a struggle to improve any youth players. Andersson has the most appearances amongst youth players with 46 starts among his 108 apps. i have been trying to improve his pace without success. Most of my youth players are the same

Livorno | Season 2042/43 | Serie A

First part of the season was good, we were around mid-table in January (and 6th on xG), managed to get some points even from big teams and I thought it could be a season free from survival battle, but then… 12 games without a win and before the last matchday we were 18th, two points behind Perugia. Luckily it was a head-to-head game at home, and despite losing the first half we scored three after half-time and stayed up!

Coppa Italia

Heavily rotated squad couldn’t beat a higher placed team, no surprises.

Squad stats

L.Annunziata *37a – after two seasons on loan he was ready for our first team and immediately became a regular starter, scoring 16 goals (our best result on the top level).

F.Multari *39c – our player of the season, who also scored the goal of the year in Serie A!

C.Sardelli *38a – another youngster who developed well on loan and sent more experienced winger Adamo to the bench.

M.Reda *37b – our defense wasn't good, but it’s mostly not his fault. We certainly need at least one more defender of this level.

P.Tani *39g – one more new name in the first team, was rotated with Luka on the left wing and eventually had a better season, including a goal and assist in the decisive final game.

Transfers – the first generations of our academy are leaving. Our best ever goalscorer Rossini (506 games, 237 goals, 26 assists) spent his last contract season in Moscow (for a really good fee), center-back Gorlero (333, 15+8) moved to Championship, Amelio (442, 77+69), Aziri (490, 89+100) and Antonini (252, 4+13) stayed in lower Italian leagues.

Youth intake (preview)

Some poor personalities, but I hope mentoring and high level facilities will let them develop.

Finally we got a specific youth affiliate, Uruguayan Defensor Sporting has almost a perfect setup (19/20) for it. And the new stadium is almost ready, I can’t wait to see our new attendance numbers.

Cameroonian Elite One: We reached the champion playoffs quite comfortable. We had a chance to become champion in our first season at the highest level but we failed against Les Astres. Close but with this squad it would have been a miracle.

Cameroonian Cup: We managed to reach the quarter final of the cup. We lost after extra time against Fovu Club.

U20: Our U20 ended 7th in their first U20 season.

First XI| Overall Best XI| Transfers| Youth Intake 2026

We had a normal squad in our second season with some options. I hope to integrate four or five of the last class next season.

Atangana was again our the key player. He scored 16 goals and assisted 5.

Dongmo 25A had a great first season and he already capped for U20 Cameroon!

Season 2032 - Versport FC - J1 League

Our first ever season in the top league started off with a huge slap of the face! First game at home against Nagoya who were predicted to finish 8th and within 55 minutes we found ourselves 5 - 0 down. We ended up fighting back to 5 - 3 but i had expected the worse from there. Next game away against Tosu who were predicted 17th, we walked away 7 - 0 winners haha. With this young team, it was consistently inconsistent as we were good enough to knock off the top teams but then fall away and lose a few games in a row as well. But overall, I couldnt have asked for more than a midtable finish and not losing any players either. However quite a few have resigned with minimum fee release clauses, so watch this space.

As we were promoted to the same league as Gamba Osaka, im glad our affiliation was ceased without any awkwards moments. Our Youth Facilities were upgraded, although we really didnt need to take out a loan of 21m to complete the works as per the Chairperson's statement, id sack your accountant buddy! Other thing of note is that one of my key winger/attacker did his ACL and will be missing for 12 months. I needed not to worry about the loan taken out for the stadium as finances weren't too bad and hopefully improve again when we move into our new stadium.

Kazuki Yoyoda 32B is probably my pick of the bunch despite the average personality. Good physicals, not bad mentals and pretty good finishing for a 16yo

Hiroki Tsuda 32D is my second pick although I dont start off with a DM so might need to retrain to a B2B midfielder

my third pick is a little left field in Suguru Ishii 32E and probably more so out of necessity in the position combined with a good personality

Austria - 2029/30 - division 1

Brilliant start lead Wels to amazing title triumph!

Unbelievably, we won the league! We started poorly, with an opening day defeat, but after that we went unbeaten for the next 15 to head into the winter break top of the league. Coming out of the break we won 6 on the bounce to go 6 points clear at the top. We were so far ahead we could afford to not win any of our final 5 games and still come out on top, albeit by the slimmest of margins. So, premier league football next season!

Players

Patrick Plojer - Legacy player, now 29, left winger who stepped right up this season. 19 goals and 15 assists from 34 games is pretty, pretty good!

Lennart Muller 25B - right winger, now 20, slightly underwhelming season with 7 goals and 10 assists but still looking an important player

Damian Delura 29A - Played him AMC from match 1, when he was still only 15. He was brilliant! 15 goals, 8 assists, 7.31 AR from 32 games. And only 16 years old!

My save in Guinea Bissau has ended after just a season and a half so I'm back to my home in Iceland for our fifth season in the top flight.

Domestic and Continental Performances

Afrika Reykjavik, commonly known as Afrika, have had an exceptional season in 2043. Based in Garðabær, within the city of Reykjavik, the club solidified its status as the 2nd highest reputation team in Iceland with a national reputation of 2.5 stars, maintaining the same level as last season.

In the domestic league, Besta deild karla, Afrika clinched the title, finishing 1st with 67 points, just one point ahead of their nearest rivals, Vikingur R.. The championship battle went down to the wire, with Afrika securing a crucial 5-2 victory against HK on the final day to seal their back-to-back league triumph.

Cool. Is that the film I mentioned in this post (Africa United)? I've seen the preview and it looks really funny.

I checked how Afrika are getting on the other day. They're showing great consistency, in that they're still getting thumped most games!

1st round of cup:

The high number of Polish players might be somewhat reasonable, based on some of the things I read recently (its in that link above), but I too was hoping to see more African players coming through. It feels odd being called Afrika, and then having a club full of Poles

End-of-Season Review

Season 2042/43

Le Puy

Season Summary- The season didn't start as ideally as possible with the board accepting an offer for our best player and center back Gerald Bruyere without allowing me to reject the offer. This meant the area where we were already struggling most would lose its most important player. It ended up not being the biggest issue in the world as we were able to plug in the hole with some new young talent that allowed us yet again to improve our record point total by 5 points (but we did end up 1 position lower than last season). But this success is damaged by one massive underlying issue and that is our atrocious goalkeeping record, which we still haven't been able to fix since winning Ligue 2. Both of our goalkeepers are National level and have previously been our only viable options. But the fact that we conceded 20 more goals than the XG says we should concede (the starting keeper conceded 15 more than expected, 2nd keeper 5 more than expected), shows our biggest weakness. We now have a young keeper who has done well for two seasons out on loan and will hopefully provide a needed solidity that we have never had in our goal.

In the cup, we got knocked out in the 10th round by the eventual winners Marseille

Just to visualize how bad our goalkeepers are performing compared to the rest of the league. There was one other keeper as low as Labonne, but he was playing for the last-place team.

Got another NXGN this season, with our CDM Salemme being selected.

Transfers- As stated previously this was a busy summer window with Gerald Bruyere going for a record fee and Karim Attouchi (a squad player) also being sold for nearly 3 million. Besides that we also had an exodus of our first generation of youth intake leaving. Legendary LB Gilles Comte (our record appearance holder)and Ousmane Tine (record assist holder) were the 2 big players leaving, but we also let go of Abdoulaye Diallo and Dylan Mercier who have been important players for a long time.

Youth Candidates- While we got 3 elite talents, most of them had rather disappointing personalities and weren't as good as in previous seasons. The best of the bunch is Cherubin Ngoy is Olivier Majouga a CDM who has some decent stats.

Key Players

POTS and top scorer- Our POTS was Omrani who was the 3rd highest scorer in the league this season. After a dreadful season last year with only 3 goals, he came back to become my starting striker. Taking over from Nkem who this season was terrible with only 4 goals (seems like only 1 of my strikers is allowed to perform well each season).

YPOTS- Botamba was yet again our YPOTS with 7 goals and 6 assists. His G/A amount stayed around the same level as previous seasons. He still is our most vital player going forward.

The best new youngster- The best youngster from last season's youth intake was Cameron Johnston. He was loaned out to FC Annecy in the French National League. He was a starter in a team that finished 3rd in the league. He still has a way to go to make it into the first team but with the loss of Gerald Bruyere. He might become one of the cornerstones of our defence.

Season 129 - 2151/52 - SBC

A loads better season but the bottlejobs were back.

We sat top for months until the last 3 games.

We only won 2 of the last 6 games

Our home form was superb, only losing one (that last home vs Villa)

But our away form was poor

No surprise we lost the Play Off Semi Final, embarrassing performance vs Palace at home

Season Summary- The season didn't start as ideally as possible with the board accepting an offer for our best player and center back Gerald Bruyere without allowing me to reject the offer. This meant the area where we were already struggling most would lose its most important player. It ended up not being the biggest issue in the world as we were able to plug in the hole with some new young talent that allowed us yet again to improve our record point total by 5 points (but we did end up 1 position lower than last season). But this success is damaged by one massive underlying issue and that is our atrocious goalkeeping record, which we still haven't been able to fix since winning Ligue 2. Both of our goalkeepers are National level and have previously been our only viable options. But the fact that we conceded 20 more goals than the XG says we should concede (the starting keeper conceded 15 more than expected, 2nd keeper 5 more than expected), shows our biggest weakness. We now have a young keeper who has done well for two seasons out on loan and will hopefully provide a needed solidity that we have never had in our goal.

In the cup, we got knocked out in the 10th round by the eventual winners Marseille

Just to visualize how bad our goalkeepers are performing compared to the rest of the league. There was one other keeper as low as Labonne, but he was playing for the last-place team.

Got another NXGN this season, with our CDM Salemme being selected.

Transfers- As stated previously this was a busy summer window with Gerald Bruyere going for a record fee and Karim Attouchi (a squad player) also being sold for nearly 3 million. Besides that we also had an exodus of our first generation of youth intake leaving. Legendary LB Gilles Comte (our record appearance holder)and Ousmane Tine (record assist holder) were the 2 big players leaving, but we also let go of Abdoulaye Diallo and Dylan Mercier who have been important players for a long time.

Youth Candidates- While we got 3 elite talents, most of them had rather disappointing personalities and weren't as good as in previous seasons. The best of the bunch is Cherubin Ngoy is Olivier Majouga a CDM who has some decent stats.

Key Players

POTS and top scorer- Our POTS was Omrani who was the 3rd highest scorer in the league this season. After a dreadful season last year with only 3 goals, he came back to become my starting striker. Taking over from Nkem who this season was terrible with only 4 goals (seems like only 1 of my strikers is allowed to perform well each season).

YPOTS- Botamba was yet again our YPOTS with 7 goals and 6 assists. His G/A amount stayed around the same level as previous seasons. He still is our most vital player going forward.

The best new youngster- The best youngster from last season's youth intake was Cameron Johnston. He was loaned out to FC Annecy in the French National League. He was a starter in a team that finished 3rd in the league. He still has a way to go to make it into the first team but with the loss of Gerald Bruyere. He might become one of the cornerstones of our defence.

Back to a poor season finishing 12th

Not sure whats going on but we in a proper slump. Even though the intakes look "ok" with lots of elite talents, our squad is so poor they are even worse than what we have.

Prime example

Chris Brook, 2 star ability, 5 star potential. Potential to be a League Two player!

Look at his stats, absolutely embarrassing

We are in a right mess and I can't see any way to improve it

Look at the latest youth intake below, loads of elite but none of them really any good. No real stars anymore that could be PL potential.

Austria - 2030/31 - Premier League

Brilliant first season in premier league as Wels make Championship Group and stay up!

We did so much better than I thought we would! We started with 2 wins, went top, and although we couldn't quite maintain that we kept on getting results. When it came to the end of the league stage we were 6th, meaning we qualified for the Championship Group (where the top 6 all play each other again twice)

the only issue? every single one of our victories had come against sides in the relegation group! the championship group was gonna be tough...

and it was! we only won one more to finish bottom of the championship group, but it didn't matter. we finished 6th!

Players

Damian Delura 29A - a quiet season for our 17 year old future superstar. Only 10 goals and 4 assists from him in 28 games, but at his age and with the step up to Premier league it's not too bad. He asked to leave to play with better players at the end of the season and I said ok, if i get a bid of 5.75m. I could do with the money tbh!

Lubos Dvorak 28A - looks like he might be the solution to our striker problem. Our top scorers for the last few years have been our wingers while our strikers can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. But now, with 15 in 23 games, we might have a solution

Youth

Another nice looking preview - only one A but a plethora of Cs, which can always turn up some good looking youth prospects

The intake was ok with a nice amount of elite talents, although they mostly had poor determination and personalities. Except one....

Finances

the board were disappointed in me not getting us the best youth system in the country already, so i asked them to put their money where their mouth is. Theu y did, with the consequence that we have no money now!

Career

@Padders, i know the feeling with the youth intakes. Every year my intake seems to be excellent with 4 and 5 stars potential players but they mostly look poor and i think its just down to the fact the 1st team are poor in comparison and there ability is being hugely overestimated when they arrive.

Herlev IF - 2026/27 (Season 3)

Promoted! We had some incredible wins, and although we absolutely did not deserve this promotion, I'll take it and hope to avoid relegation next year. Intake wasn't great for the short term but hopefully we'll have a couple of players develop nicely.
