  1. Sorry, where are you seeing that again? Looks fine in mine: Unless it appears somewhere else and I'm missing it, are you running any other files (not mine) that might touch stadia or Saudi clubs? We might be able to make it compatible with them. In the meantime, do you use the pre-game editor? You could just wipe the changes to bin Jalawi stadium
  2. I'll take a look. There is some weirdness with stadia that doesn't show up in the editor but should still be changeable. As for the July 1 transfers, I guess I like the realism of a stream of players arriving all summer and not just like 200 moves taking place on July 1, but that's doable as a fix in the editor if you prefer it that way. I'll think about it though, your idea makes more sense for "future" transfers (i.e. if the Neymar deal was worked out ahead of time like it is for us, it almost certainly would have been for July 1, not late-window).
  3. Does Greenland have a higher reputation? Try bumping that down if so... I wonder if they're slotting into whatever open space was freed up with rainbowz' work on the coefficient
  4. Right now your setup date is June 11. That's too early, the UCL season update day is June 13, so it might be taking the teams from last season. You probably want a season update day and/or setup date to be shortly after that so you can get the right teams excluded but still get the pre-season competition expectations etc from the Board. Other than that it doesn't look that messy! Haha, I might specify group dates if I were you to have more control, but if its managing to squeeze the games in then you could leave it. You could consider using the same matchdays as the UCL or Europa League, logic being that leagues are already built to accommodate teams being away in Europe those matchdays
  5. Updated with AFL prize money more realistic now, the numbers being touted last month seemed a bit optimistic. I've bumped it to $2.5 mil for the winners from the second season, but if you don't want that kind of guesswork just use the confirmed comps only file.
  6. I've had a similar issue with some leagues, I think it's something to do with clearing the cache
  7. What's the intended year in the mod? Circa 1988/89 season? I suppose if FM24 starts in Sept. '23 it makes quickly converting people's ages a lot easier, just add 35 to people's DOBs also was the Warsaw Pact alive for 35 years? Appropriate anniversary then I guess a lot will depend on the transferability and durability of DB changes - not just from FM22 to 24, but from 24.1 to 24.4. If it's an easier swap than anticipated, maybe you won't even have to choose a specific build, or at least only make minor tweaks for each patch
  8. Without editing the qualifying themselves, what about just using a line at the top of your teams list with the box checked for "ignore teams" (I know I've been harping on about that one but it has great potential). Set it to "get best teams in competition" for the competition "World Cup", max teams 46. Then underneath that, try a line for "get best teams in competition" (no "ignore teams" checked this time) set to the comp Euro World Cup qualifying, with "max teams" set to however many teams you want. If they've got the rankings fully set up in Euro WCQ (and I don't see why they wouldn't), it should work fine, it just won't "know" during WCQ that 3rd place gives you the backdoor to this secondary World Cup. Draw date will have to be after the World Cup draw date as well EDIT: Also, you should do one with the bottom 32-ranked teams in the world. Lol, San Marino vs. Montserrat in the dream final at Wembley
  9. Want to post your file and someone can check? But yeah, "ignore teams" will only work if the setup date of your competition is after those tournaments like CL, UEL etc have already drawn, obviously. You might be able to use a different option than "get best teams in competition", like "get qualified teams", but the first one will work for you when dates have been sorted out. If you just want group stage teams, make sure your setup date is after the CL group draw date, and set "max teams" to 32. For this line, you can put an end year of the last year that UEFA is using the current format (2024/25? So 2024), and add the same line again but with no end year and the "start year" 2025 (assuming that's when the new CL format kicks in). In this new line change max teams to 38 (or however many are in the new group stage) And yeah, the redundant options can be annoying but likely do serve some kind of function, in the absence of an explainer from SI you just have to learn by looking at how default comps are set up (either in a nation's advanced rules or by doing the tricks to edit continental and international comps)
  10. Now that the transfer window has SLAMMED shut, this has been updated with the latest deadline day deals. Not sure what was going on with that (visual?) glitch some people noted after a recent update, it's working now: Don't expect any more big changes unless anyone else notices something off. Also try my international files, nice expansion to the Arab world here.
  11. Ahh yeah I have heard of coefficients "breaking". If you have the continental qualifying set up using "nations" under that tab, delete all of that list of countries, it's just gonna confuse the game and possibly write over their existing European coefficient stuff. To get the teams, use the competition itself, team pool isn't necessary here, but you can put the list of qualified teams in "qualified teams" like you noted, with the "ignore teams" instructions always coming first (followed by, like, "get best teams from division" - max 2 - Scottish Premier League. It's quite intuitive when you think about it, you're telling it to skip active teams in the CL, which will include Celtic et al, when it's "getting best teams from division"). Then in the first "stage", under "teams", use "lowest seeded qualified teams" or one of the instructions relating to qualified teams. You can sort these by reputation, or by seedings which you can assign in "qualified teams", or keep it random. You can also just put the list of teams (same as above, including the "ignore teams" instructions) straight in the stage setting "teams", and skip the wider competition setting "qualified teams" completely, but I think "qualified teams" might have advantages for how certain news items, Board behaviour etc is handled (and opens up new potential for seedings and usage of team pools)
  12. Try adding reserves and u19 (or whatever) teams to each club? Save as a different filename in case it causes irreparable issues elsewhere. But the extra teams (even if they don't have a league to play in) might help with "add players to playable teams"?
  13. Does it think those top teams aren't involved in their domestic leagues anymore or something? Is it under continental rules? As an aside, you can get it to ignore CL teams, just use the "teams" line "get best teams in competition" for the CL and "ignore teams" checked. Then the next line can have "get best teams from division" for, say, the SPL and it will skip anyone in the competitions you've already listed. Only works if the setup date for the CL has already happened, obviously (so your tourney needs a later setup date)
  14. So if you go to "Rules" for "next season" in the first season, the 2023 summer window doesn't show up in the list of windows (not sure why) but when you're closer to the date it's definitely there and working:
  15. At game start, definitely load all players of that nationality and based in that nation (just tick all those boxes). Aside from that, there simply aren't more people in the default DB, you'd have to create them
  16. Does it use the competition flag "can be played during club holiday"? If so, I'd scrap that, but I expect players need a holiday every year to get their fitness back, so instead you might just want to move the competition back instead, I think I have mine starting from early July now given that most big European and Asian club preseasons seem to start around July 1
  17. You could find wherever the graphics are stored (might have to do it each time for kits, logo etc), find the St. Louis kits, and replace them manually. If you have a pic or something of the kits you have in mind for your fantasy team, someone here could probably paste it over whatever existing graphics you have for St. Louis Or just find existing graphics for the Fusion (or old Ft. Lauderdale Strikers IP from NASL!), and paste those over the St. Louis graphics in your graphics pack
  18. I would specify the division instead of the nation, because the instruction itself is "from division", but nation might work too And as for your top two instructions, I don't think you need those. You can just use "ignore teams", why would you call them all in the first place
  19. I'd just use the existing ID/shell of one of the expansion clubs (like you're thinking with St. Lou) and rename them, change stadium, name/location of academy team, etc. There's so much hard-coding with draft picks, academy links etc it would be a lot more work trying to add them from scratch
  20. What year is that? Someone pointed out some weird multi-player glitch with the transfer windows so I fixed that, I think the newest version should have them all working
  21. Ah, that method will only work if you call all the teams using that "teams" list, you can't exactly use the traditional continental qualifying set-up but this will function the same way. The game will treat it as a list from top-down, so it will go through the "ignore teams" instruction, and then under that you should have something like "get best teams in division" from Algeria with "maximum teams" 2. Normally, it would call the winner and runner-up, but since you've told it to ignore all active teams in the continental comps, it will go down the list and get the next best teams instead. If you're calling all the teams that way in "qualified teams", then in the stage you're just using an option like "lowest seeded qualified teams", it should take care of the squad registration issue. If not, you may need to play with whatever fixture rules you have set up
  22. Put an entry at the top of the "teams" list telling it to "ignore teams" of the "get best teams in competition" for the tournaments you want to avoid (as long as they've already started for the season - i.e., have an earlier setup date than your tournament - this should work)
  23. Ahh yeah that's an even better way to do it. You're right, it may not be an issue in practice most of the time, although I swear I noticed it causing an issue in another tournament so have been keeping it in mind
  24. If anyone's still using this alongside my other international files, here's an alternate version of the Copa America/Gold Cup fix that adds Greenland, St. Barts, and Saint Pierre (now that it makes an even number of teams) to CONCACAF Nations League from 2023: DOWNLOAD Only run this version alongside the Island Games file. You'll need to change CIS' continent to North America and verify it using the resource archiver trick — I haven't done that since the last update so can't verify it at the moment. If anyone actually wants to use the file without going to those lengths let me know and I can get around to it.
