Popular Post libbyshuss
Croatia 2024/25 (season 3) Division 2 Season Summary! What a season! I had no idea it would turn out quite so well after a defeat and 2 draws in our opening 3 games. But that opening day defeat turned out to be our only league defeat all season! From there on we were superb! But..... we drew a few too many and somehw managed to finish second, depsite only one defeat. And it's only one up/one down so we stay in Division 2 for at least another year Players Being able to play a full 11 of players helped! For the first time I could avoid using greyed out players as my first youth intake finally came of age and were able to play. The youngsters did ok but didn't make huge imprvements, which I could really do with as the legacy players age and leave us Youth Another golden generation promised, but this time with two improvements to coaching and intake to make the difference. The preview was pretty good. But the intake was another thing altogether. Nine elite talents!!! just what the doctor odered! I was really excited until I checked their personalities and determination. Not a good spread sadly... In the end I decided Sesar was probably the best of the bunch, although at first I rated him third. In retrospect he's best positioned to break thrugh. But you can never tell at this age.... Not a bad spread f starting attributes and his personality isn't a complete disaster. We'll see..... Finances and Upgrades Well, the upgrades to coaching and youth intake have really raised our bills and we struggled to make any money. As such, no improvements this year, other than me gaining my second coaching badge. Career After that season I'd really like to push on and gt promotion. But we may have over achieved.....

_JHTB_
Made my first sale for actual money of any of my youth prospects in what is the midseason window in season 14 of the save. Lefter is going to be a big miss for us, but he was making a massive fuss about wanting to leave and I do have at least an ok player who can come through in his place in goal. I managed to get Hull to agree for the transfer to take place at the end of the season also, so we'll still have him for the rest of our current campaign. glennuk
Worthing FC - Season 25 - English Premier League - Youth Intake - The last of Broto? Not a bad intake overall, but certainly not the glut of great forwards I was hoping for. As we are one of the best defensive teams in the league, it is definitely the attacking area where we need more quality. I have been following another HOYD for about 6 years now, he has never been interested until now so I am debating replacing the very impressive looking, but rather average producing Jorge Broto. I usually sign more than I need, partly for depth, partly for new nationalities and partly as I have had a few unexpectedly make the jump to first team, when at this stage I didn't really rate them. A decent mix of personalities, but I haven't been too impressed with my Youth Intakes in general. Considering we have maxed out everything I would hope for a few more gems than I have. Note: Signed all tagged. Top 3 - Youth Intake 25 Dylan Ward (YP25A) - Looks to be a solid attacking player, that could also do a good job on the AML (Inverted Winger role). I love the personality and the fact that he looks decent in some key areas, being quick, decently composed and with okay finishing and dribbling, he could well become a good Advanced Forward. He will take a year or two before he starts making cup and European appearances. The 5* potential is exciting. Laszlo Olasz (YP25B) - Another good AMC. We seem to have got a few in recent years. He will be converted to a CM on Advanced Playmaker Attack. Needs to work on his personality and the Vision of 5 is concerning for a potential playmaker. He needs a LOT of work to be first team ready, but I hope our youth facilities, coaches and mentoring can get him to his massive potential. Nahuel Veleda (YP25C) - Our recent partnership with Montevideo looks to be paying dividends with a decent Uruguayan Goalkeeper coming through. He is now my best young Goalkeeper (young as in early teens) and will be the starter for the U18s from here on out. Bags of potential with a great personality. He has a way to go to improve, but let's hope he can go above and beyond his 4* potential. Edited July 31, 2022 by glennuk
Popular Post glennuk
Worthing FC - Season 25 - English Premier League - End of Year Review It was a bit of a weird year. Usually I completely ignore cup competitions to focus on the league. However this year I think the cup competitions took our focus off of the league. League - 11th At one point we were 2nd in the league table in March and I thought we may climb the table, but we ended up in poor form and back to Mid Table where we had been most of the season. Carabao Cup I prioritized this competition once I got an easy draw in the Quarter Finals to League One Southend. We got to the final where we had the unenviable task of beating a Man City side that has won the league almost every year since 2022. It was a back and forth battle, but we managed to prevail due to some stout defending and outstanding goalkeeping. This means we will be in the Euro Cup II! Euro Cup It was also our first season in Europe. After a relatively simple group stage we ended up steaming through to the Semi Finals where we would play a very strong FC Lorient side (often top 6, (currently 4th) in the French Ligue One). We lost our first match 3-0 despite having the higher XG in one of the most inexplicable games of the season. I don't have a screenshot, probably out of frustration. The second match was a rather drab affair which we won 1-0, but it wasn't enough and Lorient went on to win the Euro Cup. Squad Our squad is pretty settled although a few youngsters are knocking on the door. Prioritizing bringing one or two with high potential in a season. Mentoring to get the personality up and playing a lot in cups or against weaker EPL competition. My wingers being the weakest part of our team will most likely make way soon enough. Accolades In the biggest news so far. Bobby Skidmore (YP13E) wins the Golden Glove award and is now one of the best Keepers in the Premier League. Finances Still ridiculously high. I am proud that our rep is going up. We are now amongst the top tier clubs in Europe. Other News We got two new affiliates that will benefit both Youth Teams, FC Voluntari from the Romanian First Division and Palestino from the Chilean First Division. Paul Price (YP18A) also got his first England cap. The Future I truly think we are an EPL Mainstay now. Looking to try and get into that top 7 each year to stay in Europe and ensure we continue to rise in reputation and therefore hopefully get better youth intakes.
Daddy
2036/37 Midseason Review: It's not looking like a cakewalk this year to hold on to the top spot in the league. Some injury issues, scheduling congestion, and a little bit of bad luck with tough matches grouped up have led to us...well still in first but just not as comfortably. I'm still expecting to hold on and win the league again. So long as Ukraine is only getting one group spot, and a third seed at that, I really don't want to have to mess with qualifying rounds. I had said in jest that with Haaland retiring I'd finally overtake Man City and it came true! Goals at 83' & 85' kept us from winning the first match on the road, but a draw at the Etihad is fairly incredible in its own right. Slovan was no match for us, and Juventus almost threw a wrench into things, but two late goals on the road to get a draw led us to our final group match for the top spot against Man City at home. An early goal had me thinking we'd handle them well at home, but it was a butt clencher the whole way. A well deserved group stage win and with some favorable match ups with us as the higher seed and I was making the mistake of looking to the next round. We faced Barcelona two seasons ago in the Quarter Finals and played them very tough. a 3-1 loss where we were hard done by a 90+3 & 90+5 pair of goals on the road, and a 0-0 draw at home where we had the better of play but just couldn't score. Barcelona went on to win the Champions League. Let's go get revenge! For both league and champions league I need to survive the transfer window. Top two players I have promises to sell if certain offers are received ($146M & $76M). I think I'll be able to hold them, but the teams I see interested in the $146M player might just spend that. Intake Preview: A stronger looking preview than I've had in a few years, so hopefully it pans out that way too.
JLAB
OFK Beograd - Season 8 Youth Intake The winter break has always been kind to us for one reason or another. This time we only dropped 4 points out of 24 possible points and we look unstoppable on the pitch, beating Stankom in the league, before unfortunately falling short to them in the cup. Still, the run of of form was fantastic, even if it was helped by the lower quality of opponents we were facing. As a result of our amazing run of form after the winter break, we secured a top half finish with ease, and the aim to get into European football was back on. We're desperate to get into Europe for the first time as the OFK Beograd manager, and this season could finally be the year we pull it off. We also had our youth intake and some of the players that came in were rather exciting. It made me believe that we could in fact produce some more amazing talent. Out of all of the young talents coming through, Filip Đukanović was the most exciting talent. He can play all across the line and also play up front if we needed him to. He does need work on some of his attributes, but we can develop him as long as he has the desire to become good. Dušan Račić is the next player to excite me, and with his pace already rather promising, we could play him both as a winger and as a striker. He's got bags of potential. Milivoje Milentijević is an out and out striker who has decent finishing for the first time in a while. He does come deep to get the ball, and while he doesn't have any pace to speak of, he can still become rather good long-term The last player I want to take about is Nenad Rudan, and he is a goalkeeper who I am hoping will develop long-term and become a good long-term replacement for Stefan Belić. He does need to develop before I can even consider that though. Before the intake, we actually had a takeover and Dumitru Mihu is our next president. I am hoping that he could bring us sponsorships and income that will take us to the next level so we can finally start developing our facilities once again. Popular Post _JHTB_
Enfield Town Season 14 SkyBet League 2 – 13th Transfers – Fixtures (1) – Fixtures (2) – Squad – Table – Key Player – Hot Prospect Again nothing major on outgoings this season, but we did manage to secure a lot more loans for some of our young players which will hopefully serve them well when trying to break into the first team. I did as well change our formation from 4-2-4 Wide to 5-2-1-2 WB mainly to try and sure up our defense. League With our new formation we got off to a reasonable start, we did lose the opener but were looking competitive in most of our games which, considering the actual quality of our team is significantly the worst in the league, is something positive for us. For large parts of the first half of the season we were actually hovering around the playoff positions which was a bit of a shock. Alas, we did end up sliding down the league from October onwards but were picking up a decent number of draws rather than losing, though the draws were getting frustrating in their own right. From the end of December we didn’t win in 10 games drawing 7. In fact, from the 22nd of December where we recorded a 2-0 win we ended up with a record of W3 D11 L8 so not a great end to the season at all, arguably relegation form which doesn’t bode too well for next season. Our main issue this season was lack of goal scorers, only one player in double figures and only a further 2 above 5 goals for the campaign despite playing 2 up front and an attacking midfielder, really poor showing. Cups At present, I’m not really focusing much on the cups as we don’t really have much squad depth so in order to try and keep players fresh for the league and rotating in the cup we were really weakening our team and it told as we lost in the first round of the FA Cup and League Cup as well as every one of our League Trophy fixtures. Youth Intake A pretty poor intake, none of the players really looking like they’ll be an improvement on what we’ve already got. I replaced my HoYD after this intake finally finding someone decent who doesn’t have a balanced personality – the new one being resolute. Calvin Harris 14 – No pace, no real technical ability, and I’ve just this season reverted from playing wingers. I’m retraining him as a striker as whilst he’s a long way from looking a good striker he’s not really that much different to our current player there so maybe he’ll be one that scores despite his attributes. James Murphy 14 – Again more of a winger rubbing it in that I’ve changed from playing wingers. I am actually going to retrain him as a left wing back as attribute wise he could prove a good option there plus can also cover in the central positions too. Tony Hubbard 14 – You guessed it, a natural winger. Like Harris I’ll be retraining him as a striker, though his personality is certainly not promising. If I’m honest, I would not be surprised if only Murphy of the intake has any first team involvement, but hopefully there’ll be some surprises. Key Players Andrei Lefter 10 – On the whole we were much better defensively and Lefter again was a great goalkeeper for us this season. As previously noted, we have agreed a deal to sell him and he’ll be a miss, but hopefully he can develop well with Hull and earn us some money in the future. Stephen O’Brien 1 – Just an ever consistent performer for us in defense despite not being able to head the ball. He is the player in the back 3 I most want to replace, but we’ve not really anyone better yet so I’m happy for him to continue to put in performances. Sean Papirnyk 10 – Papirnyk is the Striker version of O’Brien in my mind, has no right being a prolific scorer, but just fired them in this season. Comfortably our top scorer in the league this season with 24. Infrastructure/Looking Ahead Financially we’re still in a bit of a mess, and not really showing much signs of changing. We are moving into our new stadium this summer which will hopefully help us start earning money each season rather than consistently losing it. We still have poor youth and training facilities which isn’t helping any players improve much. I’m likely to have to sell Eirik Stensrud 10 this summer as he’s a year left on his contract and doesn’t want to renew as he doesn’t think our squad is good enough which will weaken our midfield a lot also – maybe I’ll keep him to leave on a free, but it may be worth in the long term to get a sell on for him. Being realistic, I think we’re in league two for the long haul and see us going down more likely than us challenging at the top. I’m pretty content that our current formation will give us the best chance of success with our current players but it does have a lack of depth in defense (but that’s just our general lack of depth in defense). Notable Landmarks 600 Appearances Kieran Preece 1 – Became a much more bit part player for us this season, but still made a decent number of appearances surpassing the 600 mark and is now at 621 overall. 100 Apperances We had another 5 players pass the 100 appearances mark for the club to take the list to 23 in total past this landmark. It also highlights the strength of the season 11 intake. Romario Wellard 11, Lee Brown 11, Nicolai Lauritsen 11, Mitch Oakley 11, Juan Calero 11
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2022/23 FC United of Manchester Season Summary A great first season in charge that ultimately concluded with thoughts of might what have been. A failed promotion playoff campaign combined with two good cup runs. Season Details League Table - I have to be pleased with a fourth place finish and qualification for the promotion playoffs. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We started so well and were still top after thirty games. Fatigue set in however and we had to settle for a playoff spot. Promotion Playoffs - We blew a three goal lead against Alfreton Town in the first round but still squeezed through after extra time. We paid for this extra playing time by going out with a whimper at Gatshead in the semi final. F. A. Cup - We enjoyed a cracking cup run all the way to the third round before it was abruptly ended by Championship side Coventry City, who hammered us on our own patch. F. A. Trophy - Just like the F. A. Cup, we had a good cup run, making the quarter final before being beaten rather convincingly away to Stockport County, who play in the division above, in a replay. Friendlies - It was a pleasing pre season campaign as we only lost two games. Squad - Our squad is ok, though we do lack some depth in some key areas. Squad Dynamics - This is rather lovely. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - None. Youth Candidates - The intake was ok, though not great, with striker Aaron Hendry YP23A1 looking like a good prospect. Finances - We made a healthy profit, thanks to decent attendances. Key Players Chris Taylor - Now aged 36, the veteran midfielder was our best player. I am really hoping I can squeeze another season out of him. Jorge Sikora - The centre back was our best defender this year. He had a terrific campaign. Luke Griffiths - He formed an exceptional midfield partnership with Chris Taylor. Jacob Hanson - A versatile defender, he can play anywhere across the back four, he proved to be an invaluable player for us. Michael Donohue - Deployed at either right back or on the right wing, he was annoyingly inconsistent. Next Season Another playoff spot would be ideal. Popular Post OlivierL
Njarðvik FC - Review Season 5 - 2026 Back to back league win is positive, in a season where I had to rotate a lot because of our European adventure Pepsi Max Deildin : A very solid season with our third championship win ! Meistarakeppni: We lost the supercup against Valur. Bikarkeppni: We won the cup against IA after we mostly used our second choice players in the cup. Lengjubikarinn: We finished 3rd again in the group stage. U19: They won the U19A league for the third time. Europe: Survived three qualifying rounds in the champions league but in a crazy game against Sparta Praha we lost in the playoffs and qualified for Europa League Groupstage (first time). We played four games in this league and won two times against Astana ! the two other games will be played at the start of the 6th season. With a game at Anderlecht and at home against Marseille i would be happy to reach the conference league knock out(so i need to finish third). Squad A very good season and i keep getting more and more options and at the moment i didn't lost one single important player (could change in the near future). Þórðarson 24G won the icelandic player of the year award after scoring 26 goals. Sveinsson 23D had a solid season at the back and Gissurarson 24D had a very good season as our AML with 12 goals and 11 assists. Transfers: nothing special. Youth Intake 2026: A superb intake with two or three players that will join the senior squad. Finances & Upgrades Finances: Finances are very good after our Europa League group stage adventure. Our Youth Recruitment is now at the highest level ! New partnership with a team with a good youth setup from the lower league : Volsungur. And we changed our Hoyd again for a HOYD with a Resolute personality and the right favorite formation. Borgporsson out , May in Club & Season Facts Next Season I hope to reach the group stage in Europe again and integrate three players from the last intake into senior squad
Popular Post Siepe1990
Season 2 (2023/2024) - 2. Bundesliga (all images) After gaining surprise promotion through the play-offs in my first season I wasn't really sure what to expect from this season in the 2. Bundesliga. I was lucky enough to manage to keep hold of all my players and I had a good pre-season (winning from several 2. Bundesliga teams), so I had some good hopes. We started the season really good once again, winning 5 and losing 1 in my first 6 games. Half-way through the season we found ourselves in 6th place with 4 teams tied in 1st place and us trailing only 4 points behind. After a good January & February and a terrible March we had to put together a good run of form, which we managed to do for the most part of April & May. It finally came down to the last day to qualify for the play-offs and beating Ingolstadt 3-0 and with a little help from Schalke 04 (defeating Karlsruher) we managed to qualify for the play-offs. We faced SV Werder Bremen and they were actually much, much better. We managed however to drag a 0-0 out of the first match and even managed to draw with the same figures again in the 2nd match ; in the last 15 minutes of extra time we were up one man, but I didn't dare to push because Werder had been dominating the match. The penalty shoot-out was a real thriller. The first 9 penalties all went in before their goalkeeper missed the 10th. This left my worst penalty taker to score - and he failed. They had to start again (only 10 players left) and surprisingly, their # 1 penalty taker missed his 2nd penalty. This left it all to my goalkeeper to finish the off - but he failed :-( Their next taker scored, which meant we were back to my first (and best) penalty taker... who missed. My best player, my gem, my future... gutted to miss out on promotion this year, but motivated to go for the title next year! No Transfer Proof End of Season Summary Youth Intake 2023/2024 My preview showed I would get some good wingers - which would mean I would have to change tactics or convert them to Mezzala's, AMC's or Strikers. The eventual top scholars were a DM, a Winger and a Striker - I'm pretty pleased with the striker, as I'm really lacking in that department and my strikers are getting older. Sadly still no half decent Left Back - I only have one (really) good player for that position, but al my back-ups are lacking quality completely. Best Scholar: Michael Trocha (nice DM/MC/AMC with nice Vision and Teamwork) Previous Year's Top Scholar: Alexander Kammlott (looking better and better, had a very decent season with my U19 with a 7.51 average as a Mezzala with 11 goals and 13 assists) Best Talent When Joining: Ronald Backhaus (played 24 matches - starting 1 - in my First Team, improving noticeably - might be ready for more involvement next year) Best Player When Joining: Leon Burger (still my best player, only a 7.04 average though this year - had to promise him I'd sell him if someone bids 900k - let's hope no-one does...) Best Player This Season: Felix Drinkuth (best player again, scoring 24 in 30 in the 2. Bundesliga)
Popular Post glennuk
Worthing FC - Season 26 - English Premier League - Mid Year Review & Youth Intake Preview League - 5th so far We are once again doing superb in the league. We still struggle to get goals, but we are one of the best defending teams in the league again. We have been in and around the top 8 all season and I hope this is where we will consistently find our 'home'. 4 New HOYD & Youth Intake Preview Jorge Broto looked great but his intakes underwhelmed me...perhaps I just like change. Any way for a LONG time I was chasing this guy, partly due to his reputation (which I heard does impact Youth Intakes). When he was interested I offered him a contract thinking if he accepts great, but he will probably reject and Broto can stay. However....welcome to the club Carlos Marchena! The intake preview itself was decent if not astounding, however I know this is still Broto's intake per se. I am really looking for attacking players in these previews, so to have two forwards and a decent winger leaves room for excitement. 4 Other News - Affiliates We welcome Elche, from the Spanish Second Division and Dnipro-1, from the Ukrainian Premier league to our growing list of Youth Affiliated teams. Hoping for some more varied nationalities out of my Youth Intakes in coming years. Other News - Worst News Kirk Welch (YP13B) our best CM, broke his leg in mid January, which is going to really impact our team. I am still confident that we can finish in a Euro Cup place.
Popular Post Daddy
2036/37 Season Review: Was a little tighter than I was wanting, but at the end of the day we captured our fourth title in a row. Domestic Cup I rotated for as timing was bad with tough league matches. Back again with Barcelona, and with a 1-1 draw on the road in the first leg I thought we had a shot coming back home. It was not meant to be as they won more comfortably than the score. Another loss to the eventual champion. After getting absurd luck with draws to win the Conference League and Europa League early on, we are getting some brutal draws in the Champions League. That said, we've once again not embarrassed ourselves against the eventual winner. We're still a step below the teams making it to the end, but we're not too far off. This however will hurt future chances. He had agreed on a 126M fee, but no one bit. Now getting closer to his contract expiring he was only willing to accept an 86M fee as the threshold. He wouldn't talk contract and I hoped offering him out way above the agreement maybe the suitors would be scared off and he decides to stay. Instead I have a bank balance of $430.6M and a transfer budget of $242.9M and nothing to spend it on. A minor roster cleanup. Youth Intake: A Very strong intake with some different affiliate country youth players coming over. 2037/38 Season Preview: Ukraine moved up a spot in coefficients and will now get two group spots. I still expect to win the league, but it's slightly less important now. When I get to the group draw I'll post it separately. Ukraine's season starts a month before the draw and at 1AM with work and kids looming in the morning I don't want to push it further.

In truth, our success and progress emanates from a solid tactical framework that I took a long time to create implement before starting the challenge. I wanted a tactic that once in place, would not need to be changed throughout the whole playthrough and would make player choice and development clear-cut from the offset. As such, every youth player is trained specifically for a certain role in the tactic from the day he reaches the youth team. Here's the home tactic used in every domestic fixture without change: Only PI's are Stay Wide on the WB - Attack, Tackle Harder and Mark tighter on the front three, Roam from Position on the two wide players, Move into Channels and Roams from position on the CM Attack and Hold Position on the DM - Support. These are the kinds of performances we regularly execute. Versus our main competition domestically: In CL Qualifying: And through a season the goals come how I intended; top scorers are Poacher, followed by CM - Attack, followed by SV-Attack. Here are the stats and attributes for the top scorers: Poacher: CM - Attack: SV-Attack: Whilst creativity can come from anywhere, our WB-Attack is the primary creator, thriving off the space left available when play builds up on the other side of the pitch or as a result of overloads through link-up play on the right: WB - Attack: Player Development The RWB came into the club as a RW but with training from day 1 he is now an accomplished RB. The SV- Attack was a CAM the CM-Attack was a ST and my IWB was a LW. This was possible because I have set roles and duties that will never deviate and as such, I can: 1- Train appropriately from day 1. 2- Promote players that may not 'seem' suitable, but can be molded into useful talents and 3- Ensure there are always a minimum of two players for each position. Cheers for the interest! Good luck. any changes to training? Those players would be absolute stars in my EPL team and i just cant seem to develop them to the likes of yours (or others for that matter)

Popular Post libbyshuss
Croatia 2025/26 (season 4) Division 2 Season Summary Question was, after going 32 games unbeaten last season, could we extend that unbeaten run this season? Answer was an emphatic yes, and by the time we lost, we were 10 points clear at the top of the table! The rest of the season we didn't quite hit such heights and drew a few too many games. We still kept ahead of Istra in second. I didn't even notice Sesvete. At the halfway point, they were 6th in the table but won 14 and drew 4 of their last 18 matches to snatch the title from us right at the death. So, second two seasons in a row, with 70 points each season With only 12 teams, only one team goes up. Could it be third time lucky next season? Players Still mostly legacy players but the three youth players I had to promote to actually make a full side are doing pretty well to be honest. I might give this legacy team one more season to get us promotion before I fully integrate more youth players. It seems to be a perfect balance at the minute! Sill, values are a little low there....... I can't see Croatia being a huge money spinner through transfer sales. Youth After improving our youth facilities I was looking forward to this intake. The preview was strong.... But the intake was crazy. So many elite talents! I've never seen so many! Most have rubbish personalities though - at least 5 are unambitious. Best fella is this one i think:- A really nice set up of starting attributes there. I'm quietly quite excited about this lad..... I got such a huge amount of 4 star prospects now it is ridiculous. I'm gonna have to shovel most of them out on loan for their development. Our training facilities are pish so it'll be the best thing for them really. Plus, when they come back after a really good season its like getting a brand new signing! I love loans, I think I've been far too slack in using them in this challenge in the past. Finances and Upgrades Yet another improvement to youth recruitment! Career Gotta be a push for promotion next season!

toshimitzou1
3 hours ago, SkiIIs said: any changes to training? Yes. I have custom schedules for Youth Team and First XI geared towards how we play. EG, I implement Use Tighter Marking so all my schedules have high emphasis on Strength, Marking, Positioning and Concentration. As many others have said, I find individual training very useful for shaping a players strengths or ironing out weaknesses from a young age. Example A: Kjartan Olason This player came through the academy as a RW but with a fairly decent attribute for Tackling. From day one a put him in the defensive training unit, set his role training to Wing Back - Attack and set his individual training to Marking. Here are the results: Without the individual training he would have been lethal going forward but almost useless at defending. What I have now is a well rounded player who excels at getting forward from RWB but is still competent in defence. Example Schedule: Example B: Luka Panovic This guy came into the academy as a CAM but I had a dearth of players in the LDM SV -Attack position and nominated this guy for the role. Again from day 1 I put him in the defensive unit and applied individual training to improve Endurance (for me, something that is very important in a SV). As you can see, the boost to his Stamina and Workrate is substantial and this player still has further improvements to make. Hope this helps!
br00kster
Second Season Review (2023/24) Sand Dancers, The Mariners, aka South Shields FC After securing promotion to the Conference Premier League in the first season, the mighty Sand Dancers Mariners continued their domination and achieved back to back promotions, this time to League Two. The season started off brightly with us not only securing the long term contract of our star Striker, Joe Gilbey, but a successful takeover by the South Shields fans put the club back in their hands. Great news all round, despite their lack of investment, but we were keeping our head above water (just). No significant changes to the squad. Media Predictions pre-season had us at 50/1 to win the league, so expectations were low. Despite this, another successful campaign saw promotion secured with one game to spare with Solihull putting up a monster fight as well as knocking us out of the FA Trophy in the latter stages 6-3 on aggregate. Let's be honest, back to back promotions have been down to one man: Joe Gilbey, who much like Dennis Reynolds, is a Five Star Man and currently a League One standard player. A special mention should go out to a new number one, who pulled off some minor miracles throughout the season. What I would achieve without him, I wouldn't know. Another special season for the now 18 year old, who is going from strength to strength, consistently being our best trainer week in week out, rarely dropping below a 10.0 and also getting a call up to Ireland u21s and scoring on his debut. A proud moment. His stand out moment for me was his three minute hattrick in a comprehensive 7-0 win away to King's Lynn. I believe my success will last only as long as I am able to keep him at the club, with the sharks circling and his desire to play at a higher level, his days at the club may be numbered. Still, two years left on his deal and an option to extend means we will fight tooth and nail to keep him as long as possible. Unfortunately, his valuation of £8k-80k is way below what I think he's worth so we need to continue to develop him for a bumper offer. A large offer from Middlesbrough was rejected on Transfer Deadline Day in January. Fortunately, a great Cup run which saw us topple England's greatest yo-yo club Norwich (who with it being the third season of the game are obviously languishing at the bottom of the Premier League having been promoted the previous season, and relegated the season before). A Man of the Match performance was given by our woodwork, which Norwich hit approximately 84 times, as well as our keeper turning into a prime Manuel Neuer. The win banked us approximately £300k, meaning we were secure enough to reject any advances for Gilbey. I'd like to say there was more to this run, but I don't want to talk about our humbling 4-0 defeat to Hull in the next round, so we'll move on... The injection of cash allowed us to make some further improvements to Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment. Two of last year's youth intake were slowly blooded into the team, including Luis Laws, a potential replacement for the inevitably departing Joe Gilbey, who at 6'4" literally defies the LAWS of physics...I'll show myself out. This year's Youth Intake once again provided a number of 'Elite Talents', although what their definition of 'Elite' wildly differs from mine, but we do what we can with what is provided. Our best prospect is half Romanian, Alexandru Dinu, but don't let David Casson hear you say that, some of his Mental stats are just that, mental, and scary off the football pitch. I feel sorry for any striker facing these two in an u18s fixture with their combined 36 aggression. Finishing on a more sombre note, despite racking up another 14 league assists and our pleas for him to continue, Charlie Daniels decided to hang his boots up at at the tender age of 37. A legend of the club who we were more than happy to offer a Scouting role to and he will continue to serve the club in his own way. Onwards and upwards, Sand Dancers Mariners, and I expect an extremely tough season in League Two coming up. Popular Post fries
Vanarama National League South 2024/25 (season 3) Season Summary The best season so far. With the intake from last year, we now have a squad that allows me to play my favorite tactic, a 4-3-3 with 3 central midfielders. With the new tactic, we played much better than the last 2 seasons. We were fighting for the playoff spots throughout the whole season. But in the end, we were 1 point off. We had an okay run in the FA Cup where we lost the 4th qualification round after two games. In the FA Trophy we lost in the fifth round. Rogers and Wright have developed very well this season. However, my best player is still an aging Grubb with 10 goals and 13 assists. Armstrong did well in the defense while the young forward Simpson was my topscorer with just 11 goals. My preview was great with 5 stars. All in positions where I could use more players. However, I would also really like a new left fullback. My intake was fine, better than last year but not overwhelming. A lot of players with potential, and some okay personalities. Bone-Calver is a new starter, either in front or at the right wing. He scored 3 goals in the remaining games of the season. Shephard will also start in the first team and he managed to score one goal in the remaining games of the season. We had no transfers this season. Finances and Upgrades I managed to upgrade both the youth recruitment and junior coaching budget this season, however, it was after the youth intake of this season. But I do not understand why it still says adequate under my facilities? I also managed to get the Continental b trainer licence. However, I really have financial problems. I don't know how to solve that.
dcayton9
I know a lot of YouTube content is shunned on the forums and I'm fairly skeptical of most YouTubers anyways regarding FM so I'm not trying to pass this on as fact, but this channel "Evidence Based Football Manager" does really great experiments regarding effectiveness of elements of the game. Anyways, he did a test on training sessions to see what boosts are given to attributes compared to running a control sample of no training at all and his findings weirdly showed that "Ball Distribution" didn't give any growth to players under 21. This is probably a glitch within the game rather than intentional since it is just that session, but I think it's good info to avoid using it in youth development schedules and just wanted to pass it on to here since youth development is obviously the primary part of the challenge we're all working on. Just for reference the numbers are the average attribute boost over using no training sessions if you were to use just that session all season (with no gametime or other sessions). Daddy
After whinging about my luck with draws I finally get a good one. With the ranking change we were a first seed draw, so that immediately helped things out. Dortmund was the second seed. We're 4-0 against then with a +10 GD. Betis was the third seed. We've never faced them, they're a team that yo-yo back and forth each season on getting any European play (which seem to indicate to me that they're not deep enough to handle the schedule congestion). Lorient was the fourth seed. We are 2-0 against then, having matched up five seasons ago in group play with a +3 GD. This is a group I expect us to win and possibly all matches, unless it's in the bag and I heavily rotate the last match (which would be against Dortmund)
Popular Post WhiteCat33
Mellieħa SC - Malta YAC While I've enjoyed the challenge in St Vincent, I've been looking for a return to Europe. Initially I tried larger nations like Germany & Norway as well as Finland but none of the saves there 'clicked' and after a couple seasons I abandoned them. Then I remembered Mons' Malta 3-Tier Database and decided to give another tiny island nation a shot. The way the database is set up the 3rd tier doesn't relegate, so I picked the last placed team Mellieħa SC. I'm using my same American Manager as St Vincent. As I'm now into my 4th season, I'd say this one has stuck, so I'll do a condensed Seasons 0 - 3 upload here and then a regular Season 4 once we see how thinks shake out. Season 1 2022-23 BoV Natl Amateur League The legacy team was pretty dismal, however they got a great Year 0 intake with 2 Stellar CAMs and a BW Defensive Midfielder. Combining them with an additional CM from the intake I was able to play an aggressive 4-4-2 Diamond formation. By the summer all 3 were playing for U18-19 Malta Even with terrible forwards we had no trouble Winning the National Amateur League B, with our dual Mezzala's scoring the vast majority of our goals. This sent us into a playoff with the Group A winner. Unfortunately the team was exhausted and couldn't score so we lost 0-1. Good thing we still got promoted, just no League Trophy. We did score silverware by winning the Amateur Cup Youth Intake: 4* Preview with lots of Prospects. Naturally it ended up all elite talents 'cause the team is terrible, but we did get a Striker & an additional CAM to add to the midfield both with good personalities. Club Upgrades: Got Youth Recruit & JR Coaching Up due to a happy board. Both from Fairly Basic to Adequate. Season 2 2023-24 BoV Challenge League Performance: Ended up finishing 4th / 16 due to an end of season slide as the lack of all around quality in the team wasn't able to overcome the AI once it figured out my tactics. Transfers: The big challenge with this save is I can only do Non-Contracts. Luckily I was able to hold onto everyone who mattered over the summer and sign them to end-of-season non-contracts so they can't get stolen mid-year. Squad: Marios Vaseiou 00a, switched to Cyprus nationality & got a couple U19 callups. Youth Intake: Preview is similarly strong 4*, and results in a great intake: Two star players are worth showing as they are basically the ideal of what I could hope for out of a lower league Malta Club. Season 3 2024-25 BoV Challenge League Performance: Promotion, via 2nd Position! Club upgrades: Again notched up YR & JC. Still bad but small progress for a broke club. Youth Intake: Continuing our theme of 4* Decent Preview and a very nice intake Very happy here, our top two have great personalities, determination & Work rate combined with solid current ability. Add then a fun Northern Irish player in Malta! He’s unambitious, but has “Unflappable” so could get somewhere I'll be retraining this half Nigerian BWM as a RB And another Great Personality & decent attribute CB. Either Footed is useful for the left slot Here is the overall Intake Table: And this sets us up very well for a Season 4 first take in the Maltase Top Flight

glennuk
Worthing FC - Season 26 - English Premier League - Youth Intake We are still looking for some elite level strikers to come through the intake, and with an A preview with 'two forwards who are considered to be fine prospects' what did we get? Not exactly what we wanted. I am glad we got another Uruguayan (my affiliate Montevideo seems to only give me GKs though) the two Elite Talents can both play on the wing or Striker, so perhaps I can develop them. Note: I have not been good with screenshots lately, so did not get the youth squad view with personalities, but they are a okay mixture as usual. Top 3 - Youth Intake 26 Steve Roper (YP26A) - He gets top spot as I am most in need of a Striker. I feel that his 9's across Dribbling, Finishing and First Touch are an okay starting point for a youngster and I hope to train him up. If he can get up to the early teens in Finishing that would be ideal. I am impressed with his starting Physical attributes and I am sure (as they often do) they will improve before he turns 18. A good personality definitely brings him to the top of my list and the Shoots With Power is a welcome sight. Two years in the U18s, maybe a year loan and then perhaps Steve will make it to the first team. Graham Bunker (YP26B) - I had Graham as the top of my intake, then changed him as wasn't an 'elite' talent. Then when I signed him, he was an Elite Scholar and was worth a fortune. This signing comes at perhaps the perfect timing. Ciaran Lowe (YP14C) has been one of my most consistent performs as my starting RB for about 10 years now. That also means he is getting old and may only have 2-4 years left in him. Bunker comes in with some very solid starting attributes, decent physicals, but more importantly very good technicals for a 15 year old. I definitely feel that he could be our RB of the future. After he signed he was worth 12-21mil Luciano Lambrechts (YP26C) - Was touted as the top talent from the intake, but with poor finishing he won't be a Striker, which is what I need. I will be training him as my AMR Winger on Attack. Individual training on crossing and mix that up with some passing training too. He could make it and the acceleration is promising, but I am unsure on if he will ever be a first team regular. Other News - New Affiliate Yet another new affiliate. I feel like my board are saying yes every time I ask. So welcome Stellenbosch from the South African Premier Soccer League. We have been looking for Brazilian or Argentinian...or even Colombian affiliates, but we have had none who are interested yet. Does anyone know what the Max amount of affiliates you can have is?
SkiIIs
Season 2047/48 - Premiership Another 7th position finish just missing out on European qualification gaining one more point than last year. However we did spend a lot more time in the first half of the year between 5th and 6th so it did feel like a season of progress. In the end we ran out of steam and had to be content with a solid if not remarkable season. Youth preview: Youth intake: Quite happy with this, really excited about Vanderson (mainly cos he's Brazilian) but has a good personality and has already learnt how to play right back also (picture is from August) Janssens looks like a really good prospect as well, decent personality and pace to burn. New affiliate Lierse im sure I have to thank for him! Next season - i feel the team is getting stronger, the average age is getting younger which is something i was conscious of since relegation is no longer a worry. Will hopefully qualify for Europe next season which is the aim

libbyshuss
Croatia Division 2 2026/27 (season 5) Season Summary Another frustrating season. We started fairly poorly and were mid-table after 15 games or so. After that we started putting a great run of results together, with 9 wins in 10 shooting us up the table. With 4 games to go we'd narrowed the defecit to this:- And we had games against Belupo and Istra as well! But, we couldn't take advantage. we beat Belupo but lost to Istra and then Dynamo II on the final day of the season. There were 4 potential champions going into that final game as well, it was quite exciting We finished fourth but we were very close to promotion again! Players The end of the road for the majority of legacy players I think. I have so many youth prospects it would be crazy to not play them. I'll keep hold of a couple of defenders but other than that it'll be a new side next season. I always feel bad ditching players I know I can rely on and who perform but it's got to be done! Youth Our youth intakes are just insane at the minute. Trouble is the legacy players are so poor I can't really judge what is a good 4 star prospect and what is a bad 4 star prospect yet. Another crazy intake with 10 elite talents. That's 30 in 3 years now, it's just crazy! I'm mostly judging by personality at the minute, i have little else to go on! Finances and Upgrades The reason I keep getting crazy intakes is the board keep allowing me to improve our youth recruitment and junior coaching. Another two upgrades this season Career So with a largely youth team playing next season I have no idea what to expect. It may well be a couple of seasons of consolidation as they bed in and hopefully improve
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2023/24 FC United of Manchester Season Summary We were very poor in the cups thoughan incredible performance in the league secured promotion to the fifth tier. Season Details League Table - We were top for most of the season and despite blowing a twelve point lead at one point, we pulled away once again to win the league title and promotion by twelve points. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We were so consistent, winning so many games. F. A. Cup - We couldn't repeat our heroics of last year as we lost away to Spennymoor Town in a fourth qualifying round replay. F. A. Trophy - A narrow home defeat by Grimsby Town, who play in the league above, knocked us out at the fifth round stage. Friendlies - We lost five games in a tough pre season campaign. Squad - The recent youth intake has considerably added to our depth. Squad Dynamics - This is rather good, as you would expect. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - None. Youth Candidates - I was delighted with the intake with plenty of first team players of the future coming through, led by the impressive attacking midfielder Max Molloy YP24A17. Finances - On the face of it, we lost money this year, though we spent a lot of our reserves upgrading our youth facilities. Key Players Chris Taylor - Our best player had a tremendous season. He has decided to retire at the end of the season and he will be a huge loss. Jorge Sikora - It was another great campaign from our central defender. Luke Griffiths - The central midfielder proved to be one of our best players this season. Jacob Hanson - Adept anywhere across the back four, he has proved to be invaluable. Curtis Jones - Centre back partner of Jorge Sikora, he was excellent for most of the year. Next Season I just want to survive. Daddy
My only league quality keeper. Now to rotate between three backups, two with some potential and one with better current ability, to see if any can develop into a starter.
Popular Post SuperRedditch
The Spartans Season 14 - 2035/36 *Scottish Premiership - 1st* League Cup - Runner-Up Scottish Cup - 5th Round Champions League - 1st Knockout Round Back to my save after a couple of months break. To recap, we've established ourselves as the strongest side in Scotland, winning consecutive titles for 2 years, and 3 in 5 years overall. Our squad is excellent for this level, albeit top-heavy and weak on the flanks. Time to make a push to win the Champion's League before FM23 releases. So, we dominated the league. Cups were poor, Hibernian knocked us out of both - disappointing considering we'd won a domestic treble last year. In the Champion's League we had a decently difficult group, but played very well to finish top. However, we had a nightmare draw in the First KO Round - Manchester City.... We lost the first leg 1-4. Tie over. Except wait! 93rd minute equaliser to win the game 4-1 and take it into extra time. We then conceded in the 120th minute, only to equalise in the 120+1!!! Penalties. We lost in sudden death, but an incredible game and experience. The Intake A really promising winger, but I'd have to change the entire way I play to incorporate him. We're talking entire system change from the ground up. The Gk has dropped to 4.5* PA already. His value is crazy. He's pretty promising but a long way off first team football. Gonna let him cook for a couple of years, maybe 10 apps a season and give him some mentoring.
Rainbowz
Just to check, are custom databases allowed? I want to do an Isle of Man youth only save with FC Isle of Man and my custom nation database. FC Isle of Man finished bottom in the 10th tier (the lowest in England) in my holiday save. The regens are pulled through as IoM/English nationality if that makes a difference.
WhiteCat33
@Daddy brutal bad luck on that injury, hope it doesn't long term cripple his ability too bad. At least it isn't the spinal injury, took my player in Belgium almost 3 seasons to get back to form. @JAwtunes I highly recommend the database! It even comes with portraits for players in Malta and full seasonal player awards. In my 4 seasons I have yet to notice any issues. Another FM researcher providing the rest of us the pleasure of playing their region. The benefit of playing in Malta vs St Vincent for me is the fact that since it's in Europe you have dynamic competition rankings and reputation. In North America they are all hard-coded and do not change, which got annoying. In Malta you start all the way down at 100 rank, and mine has fallen to 108. I'm excited to see how high I can get them up.

I am HOPING I get a striker like that ASAP. I feel with a really good striker I could finish this challenge in 4-5 more seasons. @br00kster- great season mate. For me Vanarama National was the hardest league to escape, so getting out of there on attempt number 1 is more than impressive! Thank you. Historically, I've always found that North/South and Premier are fairly similar, but didn't expect it to be as 'easy' as it was. My season in League Two, however, has not started well...it's going to be a long one!
Popular Post toshimitzou1
Mission complete!!!! I had to tweak early doors- whilst watching the Full Match for the first 5 mins, Musiala was a constant pain, being played in behind by the wide players and beating what was previously a strong offside trap. I dropped the offside trap, switched my defenders to stopper and cover with this guy tasked with covering Musiala's runs: Their attacking impetus was almost immediately nullified. I was using this as a base point: Again, at the 10 min mark I changed the CM-Attack to AP- attack and the DLP to DM- Support and added the TI play through the middle. What transpired was a turgid game where we were clearly keeping the ball centrally to prevent their exceptional wide players from obliterating us . Opposition example: I can only say: ALWAY WATCH THE FIRST 10 MINS OF A 'BIG MATCH'. With these changes in effect, I watched PSG (with far superior players) look for the same through ball to Musiala time and time aging, who was thwarted by and organised deep block and a competent covering defender. End result: And the gritty: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

Popular Post WhiteCat33
Season 4 2025 - 2026: BoV Premier League Performance: We registered a respectable 6th place finish in the league due to a lack-luster back half of the campaign. However, the big deal was we won the Malta FA Trophy, so will be headed to the European Conference League this summer! Sure we will start at the literal lowest rung of the competition, but there's real money on the line. In what will probably become a routine occurrence our U19 has already won the MFA Youth Knock-Out Cup with my reject players. Squad: I'd like to take a moment to showcase our two star talents who stand out hand and shoulders above the rest of the squad First is our BWM turned RB: Samuel Tanko 03a. When I saw the fact he can't pass (5), but has the trifecta of 16 Stamina, Work Rate & Decisions with 12 marking he was a prime candidate for FB. As he's only 17 he's just getting his exposure at the U21 level as their BWM, but I could see him getting called up soon especially if there are some injuries/retirements in the pretty old Malta squad. Only negative with him is he's severely inconsistent, but for a year 3 intake from such a tiny nation he is excellent. Then the man who is our entire team: Sean Caruana 02A. This AMR turned Striker is basically the fastest man on the island of Malta with 16 Acceleration and 15 pace. Even with dreadful finishing and dribbling he can get himself into goal scoring positions so often he averaged 0.87 Goals-per-Game (27 Goals in 31 APP). Within 3 months of generation he went and played in the European U-21 Championships clocking in 13 appearances and 2 goals. These early competivie matches did wonders for his development, with him getting attribute bumps basically each game (even with Malta finishing 5th of 6 in their group). By 17 he got bumped up to the Main Squad and has made 2 CAPs by his 18th birthday. His domestic exploits resulted in him winning 4 Awards & 1 Runner Up this season, with the biggest being the MFA Footballer of the Year. Due to my limitations of non-contract it will be open season for all my players this summer. I use the 'end of season' signing of a non-contract to keep from constant poaching attempts during the year, but that results in a terrifying June where any player could disappear. Transfers: Forgot to post screenshots in the initial post for Seasons 0 - 3 Our only departure came right at the end of the season and was my GK. . I fined him once during the season because he had a 6.0 rating and let in 5 goals in a match and he flipped out forcing the ‘don’t fine’ promise. Because of that I couldn't negotiate a new deal and he’s unsettled so he has left. I was looking to replace him anyways as he constantly trains less than a 6, so yay? Kurt Psaila 04c is my fresh 16 year old replacement. Youth Intake: Youth Intake – More normal now, but we got a few Resolute prospects I’m excited about Best of the bunch is the GK who I linked above and Kurt Mallia at LB In my tracking spreadsheet since I'm already doing Nation of Origin and Domestic Birth City I figured I'd also do Personality. This way I have a concrete way to judge a new HOYD of being utter garbage. Because all that really matters is # of Positive personalities I broke out the top few I've gotten right now. The personalities I've counted as positive (that I've gotten): Fairly Professional, Resolute, Resilient, Driven, Fairly Ambitious, Mercenary, Fickle & Spirited. I'll update when more appear and get added to the 'good' draws. This is covering both Ambitious & Professional personalities but not the Determination ones. I'll be tweaking this as time goes on. Club Finances & Upgrades: Nothing to see here, club is just hanging on to a neutral financial position Thoughts: I'm pretty excited for an early taste of Europe. Our first opponent is an Estonian club whose players are probably better than us, but bad enough that I'm hopeful we can squeeze out a win. The #1 goal right now is to go professional to get my players onto actual contracts. I'm shocked I only lost my GK, but I have to survive this whole summer. If I lose one of my star players I'll be doing a transfer update tonight. Edited August 2, 2022 by WhiteCat33
