Popular Post Koetzer
FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2025/26 We struggled most part of the season, but had two really good months. First was November, when we had three wins in a row, including an incredible away victory over Sparta, which won three latest titles and almost secured the fourth one now! Also there was an absolute rollercoaster against Slovan which sadly didn't end in our favor, but I still was impressed with our attack. The second peak of form happened in April, we were unbeaten (avoided a defeat from Sparta again!) and finished this stage with a solid eight points advantage over the relegation spot. We almost avoided playoffs, just needed one more goal! Took some time to break their defense, but we survived with a confident overall win. Two of three goals were scored by our youngsters, that’s a good sign for future. Cup Our best cup performance so far ended with a late penalty. Squad stats Michal Petráň – despite declining in attributes a bit, he kept a good form and even scored one more than in previous season. Jiří Ciupa – our defending certainly wasn’t good if a goalkeeper had the highest rating, but he really saved some games for us. P.Ellison *23b – our biggest star at the moment, requested to leave earlier but still has two years under contract so hopefully would change his mind. V.Matejka *24a – our top assistant and second best Czech young player. D.Macek *25a – promoted to the first team during winter break and really helped us in the final stages. Selected third in another youth nomination. M.Muxel *23a – finding it hard to fit him in our tactics, still the end of the season was quite good. M.Bílek *24b – became a starting right winger during the season and didn’t disappoint. Transfers – several loans for our first season youngsters. Youth intake (preview) Spoiler Križmanić *26a | Tsiaras *26b | Kodr *26c | Klinka *26d | Trpišovský *26e | Meric *26f | Petržílka *26g | Basa *26h | Varga *26i Four of the five best prospects here are left-footed wingers, but between them there’s a really promising goalkeeper who goes directly to the senior squad as a backup! And it’s surely our best intake so far, also including six foreign nationalities. No idea why our attendances dropped, hopefully that will be improved next season.
Neo_Geo
How is it that I have nearly £40m in the bank and I'm £300k a WEEK under the wage budget but I can't offer a player 8k a week and it caps it at 6k? An extra 2k a week is a no go even when I'm 300k under Should be an option to re-evaluate the wage structure.

Popular Post Neo_Geo
Season Review Spoiler What a season that was! Squad Selling Mandli at the start of the season for a club record £10m plus 50% of profit to Valencia seemed like it was going to doom the season as we relied so heavily on this goals the last 2 seasons. Cantarella (elite5) had just turned 16 in May before the season kicked off but showed plenty of promise and his performances in friendlies won him the starting place in our first XI. He certainly didn't disappoint with 30 goals in 31 league games, 4 in 4 Swiss Cup games and 4 in 8 in Europe! He's just signed a new 3 year deal at the end of the current season with a £30m foreign club minimum fee release clause and an optional 2 year extension. Managing the squad was the big thing this season as player after player came forward complaining about playing for a more ambitious club (Duda complained the day after winning the Swiss Cup ), so it was just a case of keeping players relatively happy until such time I could do something about it. It turns out that the "something I could do about it" was the end of the season as Duda is now talking as are some of the other players (Picardi and Capone) and new contracts should be in place for the new season (if the board allow me to offer a sufficient amount). The intake has reduced to 5 elite players this year but I like what I see on the left side of the pitch as Valeau is now 30 and wants a ridiculous contract and also an important player, so Kledis Jusufi (Elite6) will most likely feature this season as well as Bogdanovic (Top3) to transition from Valeau. In addition Duda may have some long term competition from Radulovic (Elite6) who looks a tidy prospect on the left wing, quick, good technique and driven personality. In goals Baldo (Elite1) had his broken leg at the start of the season so Carobbio (Elite5) continued in goal and impressed, so much so that Baldo remained out of the team upon his return. He didn't take that well and I said it was down to Caraobbio's form, he wasn't having that so it looks like Baldo is on his way out but no potential suitors found yet. Nistico made it into the NxGN in 8th place this year which was good to see and his attributes continue to improve Competitions The trophy cabinet is filling up nicely with our first Swiss Cup and first domestic double. The final was a bit of a dull affair with a header from Pereira (Elite3) sealing the win. The league was crazy, we only lost 2 games all season and finally sealed the championship with a 15-14 penalty win over Young Boys (we had played the Swiss Cup final a few days earlier and had both Nistico and Pereira suspended in the heart of defence so after a fairly easy win in the first game it was a fight to secure the title) making it two titles in a row! In Europe we gave a good account of ourselves in the look new champions league finishing 28th out of 36 with 7 points coming from wins at home to AEK and Brugge and an away draw at PSV. In the games against Real, Bayern, Porto, Marseille and Napoli we didn't embarrass ourselves. Club News I'm now an icon at the club and have the continental pro licence however the fans and board don't seem to go above a B rating at the moment but I think my position is still safe. Training facilities are one upgrade from the top and I cannot improve the youth recruitment beyond the 4.5 stars and I can't upgrade the youth facilities beyond 4 stars at this point. There were murmurs of a takeover however that hasn't materialised and whilst the finances are solid we haven't really needed to do anything with the stadium however the graphic below shows there is a 3000 supporter waiting list for the season ticket, so I might enquire about it but we currently don't own the stadium, so I think a new stadium would be the way to go (for which £37m is a bit too low without loans). It seems we are becoming more mainstream with the hardcore and core elements of the support dropping with casual and fair weather increasing. That's fine as long as we continue on an upward trajectory as we can keep season tickets and attendances high as long as we are doing well. Next Season With some of the players committing to new deals I'm hoping that next season might be smoother as far as man management is concerned. Pereira continues to be the one attracting interest (Bayern mainly) and he still insists he's leaving on a free transfer (albeit in 3 years following me triggering an extension) so I'll play it by ear this pre-season and if we get a really good offer I'll let him go as Nistico and Capone will be capable and we have a couple of other decent prospects at centre back. I'd like to get more points in Europe if possible but its not essential at the moment, it's all about establishing domestic dominance and building the overall ability of the squad.
Popular Post Sn00gle
Kotwica Kołobrzeg - 2026/27 Squad - League - Finances - Transfers Two changes on start of a season. First as we need to get into league rules we need some changes with the stadium. Mr. Dzik decide to relocate the club on a new stadium. Second is new Polish feeder club which is Znicz Pruszków which I was thinking about to play in this challenge but didn't get promoted. They are generating nice players so I hope this will be on plus in next intakes. Over all we got nice run in Polish Cup where we lost in Semi-finals with Warta Poznań 0-3. Little bit sad about this as this was probably best way to get into Europe as we start strugling in league and over all couldn't fight with other teams for position 2nd or 3rd in Ekstraklasa. Halko our best striker so far and main goal machine in Ekstraklasa hope I can hold him. We got first offer for Bielecki 01b 450k Euro from Piast which was of course rejected. Our training fields back on Good lvl as we got a nice amout of money at the end, YR and JC moved up as well. Great intake with nice DM Feret and few good right wingers. I hope Sokołowski will turn into nice DR as well. We got first foreign player with nice potential but don't think he will get to first team as he has hard competition. 13 staff members from Belgium finally bringed one kid. Personality is still the problem. Intake Prieview Spoiler Young Overview First class added. Bobowski 01a and Bielecki 01b are from start my main players and starts. Bielecki changed personality as well. Szybka 01c is a big disappointment, I'm loaning him all the time to other teams. Łukasiak 01j joins with few matches as a sub as we missing some players. Popular Post libbyshuss
Season Summary After three play-offs in three seasons this was a return to reality. We weren't awful, but we really weren't good and bumbled around all season. Weirdly, we'd go through periods of being unbeaten and then not winning, rather than being consistently inconsistent. But no mind, a boring mid-table season is the finish Players We don't really have the players to push us any further I don't think. No real stars and the best players are still only Serie B level at the moment. Our best player, Mateo Hasani 28A, was sold before the season started as teams kept getting closer and closer to his 4.2m release fee so I offered him out for £4m +50% and Real Betis bit and off he went. His value was still only 4-6m so I don't think he'll be making us a fortune yet Endri Ejupi 26H - I was expecting a lot out of my Albanian striker after his solid but steady year on year improvement. But this season he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. He was rubbish! and if I had a decent youth back up he would have been out on his ear. But we struggled on and he finished top scorer on a massive 8 goals. Somehwat down on last season's 24. Hopefully it was just a blip Stefano Melani 29A is the star of the team. Now 20 he is regarded as a Serie A standard player and has only 2 years left on his contract. With a 4m release fee for clubs in higher divisions I can't see us holding on to him much longer either. he really wants to leave as well, which is never a good sign! Best two youth players to break through as first team regulars were Andrea Fabbri 30A in midfield and Vincenso Capiluppi 29D, who is a natural at LW, RW and up front, which makes him a hugely useful addition to the squad. Potential Serie A quality as well! Youth So, the main problem I have is I literally can't remember the last time I got an excellent intake. They are all average/good for some reason (possibly that I cannot get the board to improve my junior coaching above average). Anyway, another underwhelming preview followed by an even more underwhelming intake A promised good intake turns into a 3 star average intake that looks like this:- 2 elite talents aren't bad I suppose and there was a nice range of nationalities. But still, I was hoping for more with exceptional youth intake. All time Youth Records Interesting to see Fabio Vaccaro 24B at the top of the appearances table. he's a classic squad player in this type of challenge - a jack of all trades and master of none! He is equally as inept at CM as he is RW, LW and AMC, which means he often finds himself in the first Xi despite never being first choice. Bevilacqua 27A is still pondering around Serie B. I have a 50% clause on him but I'm more likely to get nothing than any money from it I suspect. Finances and Upgrades Still not great. Losing around 4-5m a year which meant the board had to do this halfway through the season:- It also means that they are not in the slightest bit receptive to any requests for upgrades, meaning i'm kinda stuck in a weird limbo. It always happens in these challenges though, I often go seasons at a time treading water before something happening to push us on to the next level. Who knows what it could be, maybe I'll finally get lucky with an amazing newgen? Career We're an established Serie B side for now, which is all the board want, but the players all throw their toys out the pram should I have the temerity to suggest we are in any way more ambitious than try to avoid relegation. So I guess another season of consolidation, while successfully bringing through a couple of youth players, will do.
Neo_Geo
Always hate seeing this: I didn't have the choice to sell the clause and it looked obvious he wasn't making it at PSG (didn't make one first team apperance). I'd love to be able to use this when dissuading others at the club "Remember Matteo Roos? He wanted to go to a bigger club and look what happened to his career, do you want that?" Wonder what would have happened with him had he stayed here.

Popular Post grff
Royale Union Tubize-Braine: 2027/28 Season Review A disappointing season on the back of a tenth place finish last time out. We finished in the relegation group and only stayed up after winning the play-off. Player stats were pretty poor with our leading scorer and assister failing to reach double figures. The season saw two major departures as we lost both star keeper and star DM for a combined £13m. This has left us with a mediocre squad but has helped pay for improvements in the facilities. Next season is going to be a tough one as we try and cling on to top flight football. The facility improvements and bringing in coaches/HOYD with optimal personalities will hopefully result in better intakes.

Popular Post WhiteCat33
A.S. Luxembourgo Porto Season 9 2031-32: BGL Ligue (Tier 1) Intro & Club | Season 1 | Season 2 | Season 3 | Season 4 | Season 5 | Season 6 |Season 7 | Season 8 | Matches | Squad | Transfers |Facilities | Finances | Supporters Competitions: Cup We had a good cup run this year making it to the Quarterfinals before the eventual domestic double champion Swift Hesperange knocked us out Spoiler League Totally different story this year as our squad was much better and the promoted teams were much worse. We essentially sat mid-table all season ending up in a nice centra bubble of safety 14 points below European spots and 13 points above the relegation playoff. No problem sitting here as our squad grows into the top-flight. Spoiler Youth Academy: Youth Intake Preview Spoiler Youth Intake HOYD is finding his stride with a great CAM find. We are getting more professional personalities, which is great but still pretty mediocre overall which is to be expected till we can attract good personality staff. A lot of the intake was born in Luxembourg this year with the Portuguese second nationality. Could be a factor of having a HOYD without any Portugal knowledge, but we still added to our Portugal city list. Spoiler Best Prospects Spoiler A true 5* recruit is Nuno Miguel who will be fantastic in either of our CM rolls. Very excited about this player. The #2 is yet another Cape Verdian Left Mid, which I guess is a good problem to have. Big drop off from our #1 and not nearly as good as our current LM, but will let us clear out some older players not making regular appearances. Another CB who could be reasonable We actually got a decent fairly professional winger. Our current RM plays really well for his ability hence hitting tie for top goals, but I could see this guy doing even better Best XI Spoiler Youth Products Highlights We've added another player to the Luxembourg U19 squad. Sergio Gonclaves 06d, our right back who has been doing reasonably well for us. I play with FB on defend still to keep us from getting beat by numbers on counters so he doesn't get high ratings. Spoiler Club Infrastructure We are getting a new stadium! Pretty happy with the size as this will be the 3rd largest in the league when its finished (and only 75 seats smaller than the 2nd). Bummer how much of it we will have to finance with a loan so finances will be stretched till we start filling it up / making it into Europe. Also over the summer I convinced the board to bump up the JR coaching one more from Good to Excellent. Going to be pushing this budget to the max till we can make it into Europe. Spoiler Coaching Badges No badges again, just chilling at a Continental B but Farrell has developed into a pretty solid coach Spoiler Thoughts Great season and we are headed in the right direction. Where the team really needs to be improved is with a better GK and Striker. It's telling when our top scorer was a tie between our RM and Striker at 14 and the 2nd striker only had 7 all season. I'm excited for our midfield additions who make our strongest area of the field even better. Edited November 26, 2022 by WhiteCat33
Popular Post Daddy
2027/28 Season Review: I'm not sure exactly how to capture final position, I think I'll update it to go for the full table instead of the final group, or add both. Switzerland does a lot of stuff post split. We stayed up fairly comfortably, but in the European places playoffs we lost. The goal was to stay in league and we did it, so I'm happy. Our first two wonderkids! and he's gone. Hate Release Clauses. A lot of upgrades, so that help keep us on the right path moving forward. Youth Intake: Still getting some real high end prospects. None ready to come into first team yet, but it won't take long to start pushing for spots. 2028/29 Season Preview: I made some tactical tweaks which seemed to add some more goals, so if it was a legit breakthrough and not just playing the bottom teams then I'm a bit more optimistic about pushing into the top group come split. Still, all that's expected is to avoid relegation so that's the primary goal.

The one thing I really don’t get, maybe it’ll be different for you, is when the champions playoff I assumed the first time Basel had 2 home games because they finished 1st however in my last season I finished 1st and yet young boys got 2 home games. Popular Post Perre8
Roma City FC With a start in Spain (Portugalete) and Portugal (CF Caniçal), i just didn't feel any connection with those teams. I decided i wanted to go back to the roots, played in the early days of CM a lot in Italy and i really like it. The clubs, the names, the amount of big teams in the Serie A...man i love it! I wanted a unique story and club so i was checking the teams to be promoted to the Serie C. I came across Roma City while i was using the custom database from Ridler on Steam. So i save scummed Roma City FC to the last place as they are eligible for the challenge this way. There is no history in the club because it is a new club. In July 2022, Rome-born American entrepreneur Tonino Doino acquired Atletico Terme Fiuggi with the aim of turning it into the third club of the Italian capital. As such, he renamed the club Roma City and relocated it to Riano, in the outskirts of the city. Padders
So season done Didn't win a single game in the last 13 games after renewing contracts Was sat just outside the play offs at the time A bit ridiculous don't you think?

It’s not the fact you gradually lost form it just fell off a cliff with a 6-0 loss. It feels like a feature that they haven’t got the balance quite right. Did you see players were complacent at the pre-match team talk?

Have pretty much had a phase like this in every season in the 10 i have completed so far as FC United. I can be absolutely flying, and will just suddenly lose 8-9 games on the bounce with nothing I can do or change to help it.

MadCatPT
@PaddersThey warned me in the staff meeting that the player became complacent after signing a new contract. When I got a bad run I rested my starters and went all in with a weaker team later.

Popular Post russ the womble
Eskilstuna City - Season 5 We were second bottom with four games left after a particularly bad run of 7 straight defeats. Board were not happy.. In the last four games we won 3 - including against 1st and last in the league. Current team Spoiler Our attack is actually quite decent, however the defence is abysmal with no one above 2 stars. Going to be a few hard years until some decent defenders appear! Player performance Spoiler Filip Edvardsson was the standout performer this season, although wants to leave after relegation last season. Filip Edvardsson Spoiler Fairly decent stats overall, especially for our level. I just need to persuade him to change his mind and stay. At 20 years old he could be a mainstay for quite a few seasons. Jakob Ahlberg Spoiler Next highest at current ability of 2.5 stars if the youth GK - he made some improvements during the season but obviously not great to have 2nd best youngster at such a low rating Youth Intake Spoiler Frustratingly, most of the intake were for positions which we aren't desperate for. Could really do with decent CBs. Ah well. The board were disappointed we didn't finish top half of the table, but managed to cling on to the job and take it into an exciting sixth season. We did manage to agree an increase in youth coaching, subject to making a commitment to play young players Edited November 26, 2022 by russ the womble

MaxeyN17
Unfortunately six straight losses at the start of season 3 has gotten me sacked from Rynninge IK meaning my first attempt at the challenge is over. Will look to start again soon in a different country.
Popular Post sgevolker
Good Morning Guys, this is my first try of this challenge. As I do not have a lot experience I decided to start in Germany, the country where I've got the most knowledge and where I think it would not be too difficult to get a good youth intake. So here' the Manager I created for this challenge: Let me introduce the club a little bit. I decided to go with Fortuna Köln, a club from cologne which is actual Nr. 3 in the City beside the big rival 1.FC Köln and Viktoria Köln who is also playing int the third league of Germany. There is not a lot to tell about Fortuna, we played one Season in the German Bundesliga in 1973/1974 and we lost the German Cup final 1983 against or local rival 1.FC Köln. There is one funny story to mention, once the club patron and president Jean Löring fired the Headcoach Toni Schumacher in the halftime of a league match. Hopefully this will not happen to me Results of Season 1: It was a tough first season and the only target was to avoid relegation. Which we at least achieved. During the season we need to sold one of our best players and we had some serious issues with injuries. One of our Key-Players, Stipe Batarilo was out for 4 months. Squad of Season 1: We played a defensive tactile stile which works very well, we scored a lot of goals while we sit deep and played fast counter attacking stile. Unfortunately we received a lot of goals (third most), something I will focus on next season. There is one transfer intake, a loan back for a player which the board sold at the begin of the season while I was not at the club. I hope a loan back fits to the regulars? There was nothing I could do here. Youth Development: We had a nice Youth Intake in the first season with three Elite Talents, of course on a low level. Holger Auchenberg: Spoiler Adrian Weiser: Spoiler Evgeny Scheglov: Spoiler I'm really looking forward to continue, I don't think I can play as fast as others, but I try to keep on track. DazRTaylor
I love Iceland. I love big challenges. So, off to Knattspyrnufélagið Bessastaðir, who go by the name KFB, we go. They are quite clearly the worst side in Iceland, as they lost every game by finishing bottom of their division. Oh, they also don't have a youth academy. So I will need to save money in order to build one. Club Introduction Knattspyrnufélagið Bessastaðir The Manager This is me. hubwub
Who would you choose as a HOYD? They both fit the formation I'm going to run which is a 4-2-3-1 DM AM Wide. I'm leaning towards Ismael Blanco.

Neo_Geo
@hubwub For me Blanco is probably the better fit given he is an HoYD whereas D'Angelo is a goalkeeping coach. Professional to Fairly Professional may not be that big a differentiator
