Popular Post Gonner
Austria Salzburg, Season 8, 2031/2032 Season Recap : We equal our best-ever finish (5th) this year, but we add our first "real title", the Austrian Cup which gives us direct access to the Europa League !! In the championship, we are now firmly established in the the mid-pack, but we qualified to the title pool on goal difference only. SK Sturm was able to almost follow the rhythm of the two powerhouses, then only 9 points separated the teams ranked 4th to 9th. Sturm completely collasped in the final phase so Austria Wien came on to the podium. Rapid missed on the title by a point. The final goal differences clearly show that Salzburg & Rapid are on a league of their own, we are slowly catching up to Wien & Sturm and I am hopeful to be able to fight for a podium spot in the next few seasons. In the national cup, we take advantage of the draw that sees us play lesser teams at home up until the semis, where we host Sturm. In the meantime, Salzburg & Rapid get to play each other in 1/4 Final, with the winner then taking on Austria Wien. They manage to win in extra time against Salzburg, and then in the final we open the score super early. Wien equalizes in the first half, we score at the 86th minute despite being dominated, but they equalized at the very last minute. Nothing happen in extra-time and we get to the penalties shootout. Saedi misses the 1st shot, but then we go 4 in a row while their 4th shooter misses. Both 6th shots are off, but then our goalie scores and stops their 7th attempt to bring us the title ! In the Europa Conference we manage to get into the best 8 teams despite a loss against Udinese. We make it to the semi-finals by beating Lugano & Pogon before falling to eventual winner Aston Villa. Transfers : Our former best player Dorfmayr had agreed to leave us at the end of his contract, but the big news was the departure of Götz to Spezia. I tried to extend him during the summer time but he was asking for more than 50K€ a month. He had a release clause of 6M€ that a few Saudi clubs & Spezia met. No 50% bonus here... Finances : Sweet, sweet European money again. Our path to the semis gave us 50% more prize money than the prior year, which was already more than enough for our expenditure. As usual, when the money comes in, I ask for improvements, Junior Coaching & Youth Recruitments are already maxed out, I hope the facilities will soon follow. My only concern for the finances is if one season we fail to qualify for Europe, but the Austrian coefficient is slowly getting better and we might become the 6th best European League soon which would give us another spot. Squad : The Cup final screenshot gave it away but for the first time we tried something else than our 4-4-2. I have basically been rotating between 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 throught out the year depending on our analyst's recommendation but also on our sharpness, trying to rotate more in order to keep everyone somewhat fresh. You can still see that our back 4 played a ton of games but I am still lacking depth there even if Todorovic is slowly progressing and keeps coming off the bench to relieve the most tired guy. In midfield Neumann & Bauer have cemented their places in the starting XI, with Todorovic & Saedi as back-ups. Our wingers do not seem to have much competition, but Hartmann is able to play on the left & Peter Walter on the right, so sometimes I can have 3 strikers up front. Admin & Facilities : Révélation I asked for those first two improvements right after we sold Götz, and then the one below when we made it through the 1/4 Finals of the Europa Conference. I did not have the option to ask for training facilities improvement so we might be close to the max ! As for the stadium, the board announced an extension only for them to decide to build a completely new stadium in the end. Bonus : Révélation Best wonderkid in football & goal of the year in the league ! Youth Intake : Disappointing preview considering all the recent improvements in youth recruitment. The intake is a bit better with 5 elite talents. Milos Bogdanovic : SeSame profile as Bah & Kiene, a Lefty No-Nonsense CB who can play FB as well. Will train him to play Left FB. Sadly, unambitious. Révélation Tobias Förster : Seen as a Winger by my HoY, I would like to see what he can do as a Right Back. Révélation Nikola Ciric : Will train him to play in an advanced winger position but he has the potential to be better than Bandlow according to my HOY. I like his personality ! Révélation Thomas Fenn : We might have found our next 2 wingers in the same year. A little less potential than Ciric for Fenn according to my HoY, we will keep an eye on his progression. Révélation Kevin Vanner: Yearly striker. I think this is the position where I have had the most success, so competition is tough, but you never know. Révélation 7 years after : A quick look at what our 2025 youth became. Back in that day, we got 5 regens that I deemed worthy of a screenshot and all 5 are still playing in Austria, only 2 with us ! Kristijan Varga, GK now plays in a semi-pro club in the Wien league. Kovacic came a year after him and became our starter when we got promoted and has never let anyone steal playing time from him. Dominik Abesser, CM has been the victim of a bad career move. He was a lock in the starting XI for us but wanted more money and left on a free transfer for LASK. How's that going for you Dominik ?? Maximilian Bandlow, RW has been in the first XI since Sorda left us and is still among our best player with excellent physical traits. He is also capable as a ST which in turn leads him to score around 10 goals a year. Fatih Gül, ST is probably our current best player. Some of those who have left us surely had a better potential, but Gül is a top striker. He is a little prone to bad slumps and injuries though. Justin Amborn, ST has never really been a part of our plans. He frequently came off the bench in our first Bundesliga seasons but his ceiling is probably the 2. Liga. Popular Post XaW
XaW - Cardiff Draconians - Season 2033/34 (Season 10) - JD Cymru Premier Squad | Transfers | Finances Well, this was quite season! I can't really complain as we completed the domestic double, even if it was harder than I would have liked at times. Since we lost our best player at the start of the season, I'm especially happy with how well we coped with it. Europe was a step back compared to last year, but when we get drawn against Dutch opponents, it's not hard to see why we got knocked out. Overall, I'm very happy with the squad, but we do have two glaring holes still, goalkeeper and right back. The current ones are not horrible, but they are clearly subpar compared to the rest where we have a nice double coverage. My top 3 pick of players this season are: 1. Ashley Brown 30b - A really good season in midfield. 2. Lewys Preston 32a - An excellent season at left back and even popped up with the occasional goal. 3. Conor Pike 33f - The breakthrough player this season. Excellent at the wing and provides a lot. Still very up and down, but it will come along. Welsh Cup: We beat Aberdare, Swansea Uni, Colwyn Bay, Afan Lido, and Bala Town to reach the final. There we beat 2nd tier Caernarfon comfortably to claim the trophy. League Cup: We beat Pontypridd before we lost to Haverfordwest in the 3rd round. Challenge Cup: We beat FC Edinburgh and Glentoran before we lost to Ayr Utd in the quarter final. Europa Conference League: We beat Santa Coloma of Andorra and Aris Limassol of Cyprus before we lost to PEC Zwolle of The Netherlands in the 3rd qualifying round. I got some more improvements accepted this season. Around the world U19s: They won the Cymru Premier Development League (South) this season again and this time they went flawless and only conceded 10 goals! Welsh Youth Cup: They beat Swansea Uni, Cambrian & Clydach, Barry Town, Lliswerry, and TNS to reach the final. There they lost to Haverfordwest to finish as runners up. Popular Post tual
MADURA FC SEASON 1 Manager: Spoiler Let's start with the first Youth Intake in 2024: Spoiler I forgot to take a screenshot of the "top 3" players during the intake, so I will just insert the screenshots of them AFTER the whole season: SEASON 1 - FIRST TEAM: Spoiler It was an unbelievable good season. There are 3 leagues in the second tier of Indonesia, the first two of these league qualify for the promotion play-offs. The play-off groups are split into two groups of 3, the group winners qualify for the top league of Indonesia, the two runner-ups play a last promotion play-off match. We qualified for the group stage, became second and had another chance for promotion, but couldn't win this very last match and stay in the league two. Maybe it's even better for us, we can only give our players a 1-year-contract and need to negotiate with almost all our "older" players - and even they are not really on first league level, our youth players would get destroyed there anyway. We lost in the first round of the cup against Madura United, a first division team and they even won the cup this year by the way. Unfortunately the squad screen only shows the statistics for the playoff matches (and youth league matches for the youth players): SEASON 1 - YOUTH TEAM: Spoiler Our youth players played a great season and also got almost promoted... XaW
I always pay attention to my former players, because I would ideally like to have a staff of ONLY former youth players. So I noticed that one of them are now a coach, not a good coach, but a coach still. And he has a good personality, so get in the van, kid! I'll send you on as many coaching courses as I can convince the board of!
Popular Post Cultured Left Foot
I'm back again for another year of torture and pain as we climb the ladder of football using nothing but homegrown talent! We didn't quite succeed with Guiseley last year, finishing 2nd in the Premier League and losing two Champions League finals.... This time, we are back and attacking Spain ! As ever, if you want to follow along in more detail, it'll be a series on my YouTube channel : http://www.YouTube.com/c/CulturedLeftFoot C.D. TOLEDO SEASON ONE REVIEW The season was good from the off as we climbed to 2nd and then 1st after a few games. A drop off early in the season coincided with an injury to our main striker, but we soon recovered and mounted a title challenge. We nearly ran out of steam, but secured a playoff spot with a good win on the final day of the season. At the end of the season, our club looked like this, we had no money for improvements anywhere as we found ourselves 2 million in the Red come the end of the season.... Taking on two B Teams in the semi's and finals, we managed to secure a first season promotion! The youth intake was decent, but nothing spectacular. The stand out player was Brazilian/Spanish striker Antonio Carlos. We push on into the Spanish Federation First Division with a pretty poor looking bank balance! Onwards we go! WISH US LUCK !
Popular Post Anners
Previous Post: On 03/12/2023 at 22:38, Anners said: Previous Post: 2043/44 Season Report Club: Tranent FC (Scotland) League: Scottish Premiership League: Made it into the playoffs, thanks to a 20 goal season from Solomon Frimpong (who for the eagle eyed amongst you can see scored just over 50% of our goals!). The playoffs this time: Thankfully no gauntlet for us to go through and for a change it was us getting a late goal! The season as a whole was somewhat curious, we started with 0 wins, 0 draws and 6 defeats before actually somewhat getting going. Cup competitions were lacking any excitement this year, going out in the Group Stage of the ViaPlay to Ayr United, who also knocked us out of the Scottish Cup at the fifth round. Really hope they don't become a bit of a thorn in my side as that's where my wife is from! Rangers actually lifted the Premiership trophy for the first time in 17 years, breaking the Hibs & Celtic dominance. Although looking at that top 4 at the end of the 2043/44 season, you wouldn't think much had changed in the league at all really! And we actually completed a clean sweep of records! Yes we did it again!! Though I usually get relegated the year after... Youth Intake: 2 years in a row I get a player of starting calibre, although this time it's quite unlucky to get one up front. Frimpong can play on the left wing, so it is a bit of an option going forward but you can't move someone who has got 128 goals in 204 league games out of the centre forward position really can you!? Once signed, he's immediately worth around £12.5m to £16.5m which to be honest, I'd be taking immediately if anyone offered! Full History: Reveal hidden contents Last 5 Years: 2044/45 Season Report Club: Tranent FC (Scotland) League: Scottish Premiership League: This was actually a tighter call than it looks on first glance, we just seemed to play the stronger teams in the relegation playoff at home, with the weaker ones (and a collapsing Arbroath) away. Probably flattens us slightly, but I'll certainly take an 8th place! This was a largely uneventful season, which was actually perfect for us, but we just couldn't seem to pull away from the bottom 2 enough. Frimpong still scored more than half of our goals, with the top 3 for goals scored looking like this: Although I do most definitely have a conundrum next year, as he's fairly adept at playing on the left wing, and with the development of Thomas Scott who is very much an out and out striker with his finishing ability, I'm not entirely sure whether we'll continue with him up front purely because I need to get my best players on the pitch. Conner Sneddon Yes, he'll get his own section for a variety of reasons! Sadly, only a year left on his contract and he very much wanted to leave. With clubs like Man City, PSG, Arsenal and Man Utd sniffing around, I very very clearly needed to get rid to get some money into the club. I was trying to get closer to £10m for him (he did have a release clause at £16.5m), but nobody seemed to want to offer more than £5m, until Man Utd showed up and was happy offering £7m with that nifty 50% sell on fee included. And so leaves the number 13 wonderkid (though he doesn't have the tag yet) and our first entry to the NXGN Top 50. With former Tranent player Gavin Laird being Scotland's number 1 currently (who is still at Falkirk in the Championship??), I imagine the below picture might start getting some traction shortly! Youth Intake: I'm really a bit puzzled by just how top heavy my intakes are becoming. At this point it's becoming clear that I need to start playing some sort of 2-3-5 formation or something! Quite a few players here will fit nicely into a fairly strong youth team (they actually won the U18 Tier 2 League for the first time this year). Round-Up For more general stuff, the board have approved a pair of £750k upgrades to the Training and Youth Facilities, so we finally won't be Basic for youth for the first time this save! We'll get the full effects of that in January, so we might start to kick on a bit if we can either get a bit further up the league or possibly another sale. Popular Post Daddy
2027/28 Season Review - Belgian Third Tier - Season 4 I was expecting midtable so to push slightly higher instead of lower is, of course, a good thing. Nothing major here, Some deadweight and a few useful players were sent off for lottery ticket clauses in hopes one can net another big windfall. Much stronger than the preview indicated, but this is the first year there weren't a few players ready for starting spots. 2028/29 Season Preview:
Popular Post Gundo
I've been a long-time admirer of this challenge and a follower of this fantastic thread over the years – now it's time to give it a go again! I've chosen Norway (surprise for those that know me), a place I call home irl. I'm based on Norway's west coast, but I couldn't find any local clubs that took my fancy, so I'll give it a crack with Frigg Oslo. Fun fact: when I lived in Oslo in 2019/20, I lived just a stone's throw from where the club played their home games, at the time, Frogner Stadion. As a result, I started following the club, and they became my favourite small Norwegian club behind my supported club, Viking FK. Frigg are a tiny club these days, but back in the early part of the last century, they won the Norwegian Cup three times (1914, 1916, and 1921). Let's see if I can bring back the glory days!
Popular Post karax268
Çankaya FK season review 2026-2027 Finances | Transfers | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2 On the field We survived! We started off slow but as we settled into the new division we got some results. We were never great but good enough to secure safety with 3 games to go. The defense is still bad. As in the first 2 seasons our attackers carried us. The cup First actual cup run. some decent wins untill Galatasaray kindly kicked us out of the cup. Squad Best player: Emirhan Korkmaz The midfielder gets some recognition after three good seasons. He scored 7 while assisting another 6. He was consistently good the entire season. Topscorer: Malik Karaahmet 9 goals this year was enough this season, which is 10 goals less than he got the year before. Young player of the season: Bartu Büyükgök 26b An actual deserving winner this year. the striker got 4 goals in 16 games. which isn't great but decent enough for a backup. He also has the honor now of being the most capped player with a tag. Youth Intake Decent intake with some good potential. not many good personalities but I'll take the talent. Board Top divison money did our finances good. unfortunately we started with a deficit off a million so the board did not want to invest in the facilities just yet. However they did aprove increase in funding for both Junior coaching and Youth recruitment. Meanwhile I got my Continental B and am now working on my Continental A License. Next season Next season I will introduce much more youth players into the first team squad. mostly as bench players still. Most of the first team that got us here is still here.

Popular Post Matsusipida
IFK Lidingö Season 6 / 2029 We had a fine season on the field. We finished the season 4th in 1st Division North. Record high and points so far for us. In Swedish cup we lost to Premier division side Gevle IF second year in a row. We lost in 2nd round both years. Spoiler We lost our star player Milorad Mijailović 25A after the season as he was unwilling to extend his contract. Jovan Anderberg 28G and Ayberk Karagöz 27B stepped in as new fullbacks. Thomas Meunier 27A had a fine season with 7 goals and 14 assists. Spoiler Spoiler Youth Intake was really nice, altough we could do with some quality defenders as well. Emil Starfelt 29A is a nice looking winger. Christoffer Söderström 29B might develop into a quality DM. Spoiler Spoiler transfers Spoiler I think we have found the equilibrium on junior coaching expenses. We are using 547K€ of our yearly 950K€ revenue on youth setup. I guess we can't afford any higher expenses. Spoiler Spoiler No changes in facilities this year.
Popular Post unfocused_alex
Bradford (PA) End of 27/28 Season - Solidity Spoiler Our fourth season draws to a close and we have survived in the Vanarama North once again. This year seemed better than last year and the results certainly show. However, we still were only clear of relegation with 1 game to spare. We crashed out of the FA Cup in dismal fashion in the 4th Qualifying round but actually made some in roads on the FA Trophy, getting to the 5th Round. Not as much of a money spinner than the FA Cup but worth a punt! We played an almost full academy side in our last game of the season against Chorley, which was pleasing to see - only losing 2-1 was pretty positive too. Fortunately, it's not been a doom and gloom season like last year and there has been some glimmers of hope. Glimmer #1 - Darryn Bemrose Spoiler - My player of the season. He's developed really well this year and staked his claim as a starting central midfielder in our bog standard 4-4-2. He's provided some attacking output with a large amount of assists and links up nicely with our other academy products. Glimmer #2 - Nat Noble-Lazarus Spoiler - His ability has risen a lot this season and he's been put out on the right hand side and provided some great attacking returns. His pace providing a real threat. Ten goals in his first full season is not to be sniffed at. Glimmer #3 - Marco Aeillo Spoiler - A rather recent glimmer as he's literally just arrived through the door in this years intake but 2 goals in his first 2 games and I'm starting to think we may be on to something here. The Season Spoiler So overall we didn't push on as much as I would've wanted. However, I never really thought we were a relegation threat and we certainly showed more fight this year. I'm hoping next year (with it being our fifth season) we can push on and the developed players really push on. Finances are looking dire so I can wave goodbye to any new facilities and maybe even any coaching badges for a while. Considering I've been here for 4 seasons, I'm a bit annoyed the board haven't gotten me on a coaching course yet! This summer will be a process of cutting out some deadwood, notably I'll be shifting on some of our original squad as they've past their peak and are just soaking up wages. Jamie Spencer, who's been a great servant at the club and Will Longbottom are set to leave when their contracts come to an end. Shame to see them go but they didn't offer much this season and I've got their replacements already bedded in to the first team. Looking at our squad depth I'm thinking we may shift back to our 4-2-3-1 that we started off the save with, but I'm eager to find out where Darryn Bemrose will fit into that if we shift our two central midfielders back to the DM strata. Maybe it'll be another string to his bow. Spoiler Intake Spoiler As previously mentioned, Marco Aeillo is the pick of the bunch. But finally I spot a Centre back Jan Suchy in our intake who could do some good. He's not the tallest, but provides cover across the whole back line. With us only being allowed 5 substitutes at this level, it'll come in handy. Aims for the following season Push up the table. Get into the FA Cup proper. Ensure plenty of youth products who are over 18 are getting game time (either here or out on loan). Bingo update Spoiler Finally on the board! No hanging around! On to the next one. Popular Post glennuk
Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg - Season 2 - Japan J3 League - End of Season Review League So we were flying all season, again banging in goals left right and center, scoring a few less than last year, but still averaging over 2 goals a game (2nd highest scorers in the league). However we had a poor end to the season and had to win on the final day to get into the playoffs......and DID WE EVER!!!! Playing 2nd place FC Ryuku we decided to show the league what we are all about, our unofficial club song should be "We're gunna score one more than YOU..REINBERG". Also look at the efficiency, 7 goals scored from 6 shots on target. Playoff Semis So back in the playoffs again, this time against 3rd place Tottori. It was a good back and forward game and perhaps I didn't realize that if scores were level after 90 minutes the home team automatically wins (what a CRAZY rule). We fought hard. Had more shots, more xG, but couldn't get that final goal. So another year....another playoff loss. The Squad Still mostly full of legacy players, especially due to our poor intakes. Kido, Wada and Hashimura are all really good strikers, so this season I have been playing whoever is on form gets to start. It has worked quite well, but had a few periods when all 3 of them couldn't hit a barn door. Suminaga our best CM doesn't want to stay at the club anymore, which will mean a big void in the midfield. Our Playmaker and most consistent midfielder! I rejected a bid and of course he decided he was going to leave on a free instead. I would consider him one of our most important players, so I am quite worried what season 3 will bring. Our 3rd choice CB is also retiring and we have quite a few players 30+ on the books. These youth intakes need to improve and fast.

Popular Post Ron_Swanson
[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 15 - 2037 Top rating of only C, but the actual intake, OMG... that's what I call an elite talent, straight away best player in team, professional, oh man. Not much besides him but I'm really happy Fantastic fight until last match. We were unbeaten for first 11 games and at that moment the goal was clear, we're going for promotion. Then a crisis in june/july and it was really close between four teams for the rest of season. Just one better game and we would be celebrating but not this time. Also we advanced to a group stage in cup so a little money boost incoming at the beginning of next season "Son, I'm dissapointed" When it started to looking like he'll become a leader of this team he got too ambitious and didn't want to sign new contract. I was waiting the whole season if he could change his mind (it worked with Hampus Pettersson last year) but he decided to leave anyway. Even our new academy wonderboy was not enough to make the squad strong. Now we have a big hole on right defence, only Luca Brolund shows some quality, maybe one of our wingers will be forced to retrain his position.
Popular Post Riebow
Oh boy, already 37 pages . I was thinking about skipping this year, but reading this thread sucked me back in. I'm starting in England until the Belgium finance bug is finally fixed. I'm heading to Telford. Probaby a popular choice as they start out with decent facilities and a full squad. Popular Post CJ'43
Kavala Football Club / Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καβάλα Season 3 - 2026/27 Schedule / Squad / Transfers / Finances / Manager Season Summary: after securing a stable 9th place last season, our goal for the new year was to remain in the top half of the table. The media predicted a modest 13th place at the beginning of the season. However, we defied all expectations by achieving a dramatic promotion in the last game of the season, unfolding like a fairy tale. We won our final match against Panionios, and Kallithea's loss to Larisa with a late goal propelled us to the 2nd spot, securing an unexpected promotion from Super League 2. (variation) In the Greek Cup, we once again reached the 6th round, defeating MGS Panserraikos (6th in the Greek first division) but ultimately losing to the Greek giants AEK. The home match against AEK in the first leg of the 6th round recorded our highest attendance ever with 10,404 spectators and also set a record for the highest ticket revenue, totaling around €240k. Youth candidates: another pretty solid intake, with players like Igor Bašić 27a, Giannis Tsorbatzidis 27b and Tasos Avgoustopoulos 27c already with first squad quality. Lefteris Astras won the GK of the year award after 14 clean sheets this season. Kosmas Gekas was once again our top goalscorer and his 24 goals in the league this year rewarded him with the top goalscorer award. Alexandros Toungelidis 25b, from our first intake, was the player with the highest average rating. I was second place in the manager of the year in League 2. Spoiler North American Champions League: Caribbean Zone: We kept a complete clean sheet in an absolute domination of the group phase. Caribbean Playoff: And then the wheels fell off with an absolute disaster game in Barbados against Defence Force. Pretty embarrassing defensive performance, its where my GKs "dislikes big matches" really came to bite us. Probably didn't help that we botched a friendly between the legs due to an international break. Spoiler NACL Tournament Tree: Spoiler Squad: CA Player List: Spoiler Excel CA Tables: Spoiler I introduced this new table in my supplementary update. Here we can see the degradation of 35-year-old Nurse is dropping our Attacking average, however everything else is looking great! We have a number of middle-potential attackers (3 Star PA) to rotate through to see who does best till we wait for our next superstar. Excel Graphs: Spoiler There are a number of players that are switching between Resolute and Driven personalities, which is something I never experienced before. Depending on the way they switch sways these graphs from Professional to Ambitious. Currently we have more Resolute, which is why our rise in Ambitous personalities has stalled momentarily. The team is in a rebuild phase right now as 3 of our top 5 players are into their 30's now and are degrading some more rapidly than others. Unfortunately, there is a large generational gap so we haven't seen our youngsters reach up to replace them quite yet. Good news is we are seeing an increase in the number of 76-100 CA players, so while we are thin on star players, our average regular starter is still decent. New CA Tracking: Spoiler I added a new part to the yearly data-export to include CA Averages per position range. This is created by tracking each year's "CA Average Unique Players" Table [Bottom Right table in the above group of new tables]. I export the entire Club, so: I have them organized this way as the top left will show me all players in the 1st team squad training, and then the top right has my regular starters. The bottom two (to me) provide less information. What is very clear in these graphs is we are switching from our strength being our strikers to being our Defensive players and midfield. Player Highlights: Transfers: Spoiler Due to the abysmal early exit from the NACL I decided to loan out players even though it probably would result in them not improving as much. Most of these guys are 20-22 and are very much squad depth players. Best XI: FM Screenshots: Excel Tables: Spoiler Head Coach: No updates for us. Club Improvements: We are finally getting our Stadium dedicated after Mr. Manager! On a negative though, I can't convince the board to give me any affiliates. That's frustrating because both BDFSP and Weymouth have managed to get European senior affiliates. Spoiler The options have finally shown up, but the board still won't consider looking outside of Barbados when either they do it or I get the option to choose. But European nations do want a presence in Barbados now. Youth Academy: HOYD: He's up to 2.5* Reputation now. Spoiler Youth Intake Preview: Youth Intake: Top 3 Players: Spoiler Two Elite Talents! First is a strong mental midfielder who has technique. Should work well as a SV with strong longshots More importantly our second is a Striker with awesome finishing and is Ambitious! He will never be a speedster, but should get to 12-13, which should be adequate for my needs especially if he can become really smart. Messed up the screenshot so here is a few weeks later. After that we have some cover prospects. Best is a LB, which we could use cover if we lose our star WBL for some reason. He upgraded his potential when he joined the club, so hopefully he can become something. Probably will move him to the first team to mentor into the WBL group. Shame he has no potential as he could be a AF/SS Excel Tables: Spoiler Considering one of our star players got the Ambitious personality, you can see the trend is real of us having high Ambition intakes. Most interesting to me is in the >10 graph you can see the past 7 years Amb+Det is the highest combination. Then the past 4 years we've had 3-5 Amb >=15 in the intakes, with only this year having more Determined players. While we got some great potential, we didn't get an out and out star in this intake . Still a positive year for sure. I'll fill in the facilities next update, but here are my HOYDs and the years they were active. Barbados National Team: 2059 This Fall was Nations League B after a demotion down from the top tier. Barbados sure showed they belong up top with an impressive undefeated record in thier 6 games Spoiler 2060 This year is the quiet friendly year before WCQ in the Fall. With the nations league in 2059, the team has done well enough that it's up to 87 ranking in the world! All time high for Barbados Spoiler Road View Internationals: Barbados Main: Spoiler Barbados Youth: Spoiler Summary I like this intake, but it will be a few years before I'm confident in our strike-force to repeat a deep run into the NACL. Otherwise, the transition to the next generation is going very well with only two 32-year-olds still in the starting lineup and then the rest of the team being 26 or younger. If our two elite talents develop properly they will perfectly replace these two old men. I found this darkly amusing: Edited December 6, 2023 by WhiteCat33
Popular Post BustaRaymes
Smethwick Rangers 2028/29 Northern Premier League Division One Midlands Another decent season. We are losing connection to the playoff places but seeing as we're always expected to go down, I'm satisfied. Squad Coughlin is still going strong at 36, and our best goalkeeper by a stretch. He'll probably stay in goal for two or even three years, as long as he wants to go on. Kirnon is getting in more and more goals and assists. He's one of our best players physically and I wanted him up there more often this season. Kral has been underrepresented in my yearly overviews. He delivers every season but is rarely the standout player and never complains. I value him a lot. Crouz has found a second wind nearing the end of his career. Starting out as a fringe player, he is now invaluable to us at 32 years old. Another leap in his tally for Feeney. 18, 24, 33 and now 42 in his last 4 seasons, with hopefully quite a few seasons to go with us. Transfers Loans everywhere, and former starter Roberts being picked up. Youth intake Actually a decent intake for us. At least a few players we can probably use in the near future. Ryan Jones is not the beefy defender I hoped for, but he has some stuff going for him. I do like Knight as he could possible be the hard working midfielder we lack now. Ware is the left back we were waiting for. Mills is aging and Ware has the attributes to do a job for us very soon.
Daddy
2028/29 Midseason Review - Belgian Third Tier - Season 5 Very rollercoaster type of a season for us thus far. Wing or Striker was my top wishlist for this intake, so I'm glad to see that.
glennuk
Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg -Season 3 - Japan J3 League - Mid Year Review & Youth Intake Preview League So the predicted drop off has started. Losing our best and most creative midfielder was a tough pill to swallow and it has certainly hurt us pretty bad. It has not been a complete disaster by any means, but we have certainly not looked as strong as we had in the first two seasons when we were usually in and around the playoff places. Hibiki Wada has become my most prolific striker (and currently the most prolific in the league), which is a slight surprise as he had usually been 3rd choice in previous seasons. Upgrade & New Contract & Coaching Course I saw somewhere that someone suggested asking for improvements immediately after signing a new deal. I signed my new deal, asked for an upgrade and it worked!! Thanks fellow forum members (sorry I can not for the life of me recall who suggested it) Youth Intake Preview After a couple of disappointing intakes, some of my legacy players leaving, retiring etc. I was really hoping for some A's or B's in the intake. None present, but an Excellent Intake?? Hopefully that rings true despite the poor letter grades. I could REALLY do with a couple of CMs. So let's hope the intake delivers.

Full History: Reveal hidden contents Last 5 Years: 2045/46 Season Report Club: Tranent FC (Scotland) League: Scottish Premiership League: That was a bit too close... Before the split, I was getting ready to type this was actually a quite boring season, we were always well ahead of the bottom 2 and it seemed we were quite a balanced team. Then the split happened and we conceded 18 goals in 6 games and almost completely collapsed if it wasn't for a smash and grab win away to Hearts. Only thing that's changed team wise is that we've yet again lost our starting goalkeeper (we can never keep one for more than 2 seasons at the moment) but now we're in the very awkward position of having the choice of 3 players who are all "Leading Highland-Lowland level". Might have to go for a "we'll score 1 more than you" approach next year. We did get another player on the NXGN list in Thomas Scott (number 3!) with a certain Conner Sneddon in 8th place as well! We can produce the players, but we just cannot keep hold of them at the moment which is holding us back I think. Youth Intake: Again, very top heavy with only 4 defenders in this intake. Robertson (MC) will do nicely to cover the midfield gaps we have, but we're desperately needing some good defenders in the next couple of intakes as I'm not sure we can actually stay in the division with such poor defenders. We're finally getting the increases in Youth Facilities though, as we're now Below Average instead of Basic. If we can get to average I'll take it, as we're very clearly starting to get players that could be world class. We are literally that guy at the gym that skips leg day at the moment. Also, Frimpong still top scored from the team from the left wing. He'll likely get put back up front if Thomas Scott leaves, as all the big clubs are after him like they were Sneddon. Popular Post XaW
XaW - Ubuntu Cape Town FC - Season 2024/25 (Season 1) - GladAfrica Championship Squad | Transfers | Finances My first season in South Africa was a very fun one, with one big issue, but I'll come back to that. The squad I took over was a pretty good one, and also very fitting into my usual 4-3-3 tactic, so I just chucked it in and it worked quite well. Some issues with too few defenders, but overall a good and balanced squad. We won 5 of the first 6 matches of the season and it looked like we would be flying through the season. However, it went a bit sour from there as we lost the next 4 on the trott. So we are inconsistent, got it! Still, we picked up a lot of points and were part of the fight for the top spots. It was a tough and close battle with many teams in the mix, but eventually we finished in 3rd. Now, the system here is that the top team is promoted, while 2nd and 3rd go into a playoff league along the team who finished second last in the top tier. So we joined Marumo Gallants and Chippa United into the playoff, and unfortunately, we had some rough days there and finished bottom and didn't go up. Still, a very good first season for us. Now, over to the big issue I mentioned. Staff, or rather the lack off it. I've so far only been able to sign a single coach, and no other staff. There are staff interested, but they require more wage than I can give, and no one replies to the ads I've put out. So I have to manage the youth team too, since I can't delegate it. Quite annoying, but it is what it is. It also means I don't get a youth intake preview, since I have no staff to give me one... I just hope I can get in some more next season... My top 3 pick of players this season are: 1. Cole Van Coller - Top scorer and a very good striker. However, he is prone to hot and cold streaks. 2. Luvolo Bhangushe - Excellent season in midfield, and also popped up with some very important goals. 3. Maxwell Sangala - Started the season with 4 goals in the first 3 matches, but couldn't keep it up. Still a good season. Popular Post Riebow
Sorry, changed my mind already :D. I was watching some save ideas by the great FMLlama and I suddenly remembered one he did last FM about Olot UE in the Spanish 4rd tier. I also remembered he said they were going to be relegated so they wouldn't be in the game anymore next FM! Which makes them the perfect team for this challenge. What makes this team interesting is that they're the Catalan answer to Athletic Bilbao: a team that only signs Catalan players (although this isn't hardcoded in FM, so maybe that's just a myth :D). They also have a senior affiliate in ... FC Barcelona! That can't hurt, right? Eyebrows have been raised, blah blah blah Attributes
Popular Post thomas_e
Energie Cottbus Season Summary 2036 - 2037 Back to back Bundesliga titles, but no Champions League progress So we managed to secure our second Bundesliga title in as many years, despite only winning 10 out of 18 games in the second half of the season. We won the league with 72 points, a number of points that only once since the start of the save would have been good enough to win the league! Gladbach was actually sitting top of the league for quite some time and in the end they did beat Bayern out of the last CL-spot! In the Champions League we managed to progress from the group stage, but to be honest we never played really good. We do struggle against top teams and I do think we need to promote a couple of our biggest talents and just wait for them to become good enough. We have three-four weak links in the team that simply make us struggle against top-tier opposition! We managed to beat Milan comfortably 4-1 in the first knock out stage, before getting knocked out by Inter in the round of 16. Two tight games saw us take the tie all the way to penalties, but we lost 3-2 in the shoot out and that was it! We will never win the league again if we dont step up our performances, this much I know! We had a pretty good intake, but as last year it was good because of one stand out player, Marius Henriksen. He looks like he can become a top-tier winger! Season Summary Key Players Key Talents

For this challenge, you can start this challenge with a club promoted from the third to the second division. libbyshuss
Japan - Honda FC/Haneda Division 1 = 2040 (season 17 i think) Objectives: Get back in the Champions League! Season Summary League: We absolutely destroyed the league this season. It was great! Everything clicked and we swept all aside with aplomb. We won the title with months to spare! Emperor's Cup: We're usually terrible in domestic cups but we were so good this season we got to the final without even breaking a sweat. We had a really easy game to win the double as well, Avispa Fukuoka who only narrowly avoided relegation. We'd hammered them 5-2 in the league, and we hammered them in the final too. Only to somehow draw 1-1 and lose on penalties! Champions League: Another nice easy coast through the group stage the added bonus is the next round doesn't see us playing Hiroshima! Maybe this time we'll get through! Players So, our top scorer last season was Ren Ninomiya 33A weith 45 goals. So what do I do? I dropped him! I was never too happy with him as he only had 9 pace, and there were two youngsters chomping at the bit so I gave them a chance. They did well, Ninomiya sulked, and I don't take too well to sulkers, so he ended the season 6th choice striker. Pretty immense fall from grace from the lad. Even when I went back to a narrow 4-3-3 he couldn't get near the team I turned down a £20m offer from Stuttgart for Maicon 34A. A 3 star rating is deemed a star player for J1 league, just to give you an idea how good this team is Youth it kinda explains why these youth intakes look comparatively poor I guess. No elite talents but still an excellent intake apparently Finances It's not all roses however. We're losing an absolute tonne of money due to the wages I've had to splash out to try and keep my star players happy. I cashed in a 50% sell on clause for £12m and still ended up losing £10m over the season. And then the board announced this:- This is gonna really put our finances under pressure! I mean, it's not really sustainable at this point is it? Career I might only have this last chance at the Champions League. Our close season hasn't gone too well - half the team are sulking because I rejected bids for them and Taiga Fujita 32A, arguably our best player, not only did his cruciate ligament but then announced he'll be leaving on a free at the end of the season. Really frustrating!

BustaRaymes
Smethwick Rangers 2029/30 Northern Premier League Division One Midlands We were not good enough this season. Although we were never really in trouble, we never managed to reach our usual level. Squad Our financial issues are now showing through our lack of talented youngsters. Most of the squad is the same 5 years in,with only 3 players that grew into regular starters. Due to aging as well as budget cuts from the board, we are going to let Crouz, Daniels and Mills go. Coughlin and Rowland only want to sign a non-contract so they'll be available to pick up by everyone. Rowland attracting interest from VNN/S teams means he'll probably take the first offer that comes in. Parton is one of the guys that managed to get himself a starting spot right away. Although he fell back immensely attribute-wise, he's very much needed. Rowland is still the midfield maestro. I can only hope it takes a bit of time before bigger clubs come in for him. Even in a bad season, Feeney made it to 30 goals again. Transfers Loans again Youth intake This years intake looked amazing at first, but the CA is way behind as usual. A few of them look nice, but this doesn't seem to be a lot for the first team yet. Shineton looks decent and will be battling it out with Adewumi for a starting sport once Coughlin retires. Horne seems decent as well. I like his team work, technique and flair for this level, just how on earth can he play LWB as well? Monaghan will be taking Mills' place in the squad as a left back. He's a master of none but at least has no real weaknesses for his position. Wigley is 201cm. I love him already. Last but not least: I've never seen this happen before. I don't know what happened, received no message as to why this might be, and no injury. All I know is he lost his Unambitious personality and is now Fairly Sporting, but that should be a good thing, right? Maybe the +3 in concentration come from there but I can't explain the total crash in every other aspect. Just the Def Pos training attributes have 'survived'. Any one of you guys have a suggestion on what might've happened here? Edited December 7, 2023 by BustaRaymes
glennuk
Wow @BustaRaymes - I have never seen a stat decrease that bad!! Usually I have some drops (I believe because of my poor training facilities compared with my junior coaching maybe???) but that is usually accompanied by some improvements in other areas. I know of most stuff that can happen but I'm not that much into analysis either and can't remember seeing this.

I would only think that level of regression would be possible with a major injury, like a broken spine or something... I know that major injuries in very rare occasions can actually lower PA, and if his CA was at PA then the CA would have to be lowered to match the new PA. But as I said, that's for the very rare occasions and afaik only is linked to injuries. In a completely unrelated question, has anyone else managed in South Africa lately? I finally hired a HoYD, but I still don't get youth previews, so I'm wondering if it's not something that happens there for any reason? I still don't have an assistant or anything, so still have to manage the youth team too, albeit I tab out and do other things while the game plays!

No but in Japan, I had to get youth recruitment first (I got it by increasing junior coaching, rather than by improving youth recruitment). So before I got the upgrade I did not have a youth intake preview etc. Could it be the same in South Africa?

Yeah, I will, I just want to add enough staff first, just in case there is some issues there with me not having much staff at all. If it continues, I'll report it. Popular Post XaW
XaW - Ubuntu Cape Town FC - Season 2025/26 (Season 2) - GladAfrica Championship Squad | Transfers | Finances We followed up last seasons great attempt by going one step further and winning the league! An excellent season all around, and we are now up in the echelon of South African football. Of course it will be difficult next season, but this batch of players are quite good, I think, and we should have a fair chance of staying up if I can keep the bulk of the players. Except for a small hickup around February where we only won a single game all month and even lost 4-0 away to Magesi in a horror show of a match, we played well in almost every match. And when I got a very good intake that filled out a few issue positions, it helped us over the line to clinch the title. Tuks FC were our main challengers, and they even had the lead by a point going into the final match. We played at home against Hungry Lions, while they had a seemingly easier opponent in Upington City at home. When we got an early 2-0 lead I was confident we would do the job, I looked often at the Tuks match. And to my joy Upington City had taken an early 2-0 lead themselves, albeit Tuks reduced the lead shortly after. When we added a few more goals in the 2nd half, I was happy with our game and all my focus went to Tuks. When they drew after a pen around the hour mark it was a nailbiter watching the scores, but nothing happened, and eventually we ran out winners with a 4-1 win, while Upington help Tusk to a 2-2 draw. So our first title and promotion are in the box! My top 3 pick of players this season are: 1. Cole Van Coller - Another strong season from the striker, but I'm afraid I might lose him as he is exploring his options. I hope the promotion will sway him to stay though! 2. Thabang Adams - He channeled his inner Steve Bruce and scored 10 goals from left back this season! Granted, most from pens, but still! 3. Kyle Mthembu 25a - First youth player to break into the first team and had a great season. So much so that he was called up by the South African U20s and got his debut there too. Nedbank Cup: We beat Magesi on pens before we lost on pens to Sekhukuhne Utd in the 1st round. Around the world U19s: They finished 6th again in the South African Under 19s Group 2. Full History: Reveal hidden contents Last 5 Years: 2046/47 Season Report Club: Tranent FC (Scotland) League: Scottish Premiership League: We were absolutely awful for most of this season - I mentioned in the previous post about having a very weak backline and keeper and it very clearly shows. We have the worst defence in the league but the 2nd best attack. If we could actually defend, we'd probably be challenge for a European spot considering 4th and 5th ended up with only 53 and 52 points. Thankfully we regained form towards the end of the season, but we only won out first match 12 games in. If we're back to the old "we can't put a full season together" then... ugh. Youth Intake: I'll take a couple of good defenders here thank you very much! Not quite straight in the starting 11, but close enough! We STILL haven't managed to get a goalkeeper and i'm incredibly desperate at this point. In terms of the squad, we're very top heavy (as shown in the youth intakes in previous years with the amount of midfielders/strikers) and if you actually looked at our squad from the midfield up, we'd probably be a top 4 team. I'll do a bigger round up at the end of next season as it's been a few years, but if we can get these defenders trained up as quickly as possible we can definitely start to make a charge towards at least finishing in the top 6. Frimpong finally didn't top score, as Thomas Scott is really starting to kick on. Frimpong did get the most assists and Highest Rating so he's still the main man!
