Did get slightly nervous towards the end, but pulled through with that massive goal difference. Not actually too much to mention here - Rangers flirting with relegation playoff although they've seemingly been a mid-table team for quite a long time now. Cups: We end up with another domestic treble including a lovely 7-0 demolition of Rangers in the Semi Final. We actually played Arbroath a week before in the league and beat them 7-1, so that was a bit of a gulf in class. We're pretty comfortably the best team in Scotland now with the only reason we're getting lower points totals is because of the intent to try get the Champions League. Europe: We've at least broken through past that Quarter Final stage, this time in spectacular fashioning by demolishing Real Madrid 4-1 at the Bernabeu. We're so close now, ugh! Youth Intake: I've realised now I've forgotten to do the personalities here, but there's nothing major missed. We've got depth all over the squad right now, so thankfully we're not in desperate need of any position players. Other Business: As you'll see a little bit below, we've ended up with some huge average ratings over this year. I'll do a full round up of the squad next year, but just for now... We've got a very good spine of 4 younger players, which is why I think we're setup to make a good charge at the Champions League in the next few years. Cameron Macdonald (DC) - Not quite an World Class player, but a really well rounded player at the heart of our defence. He did have a Perfectionist personality, but has gone down to Resolute. The oldest player at 23 in our spine, Macdonald's started for us for the past 6 years and probably will for a few more. Ally Collins (DM) - One of our Wonderkid's, Collins can pretty much do any job but I'm playing him at the moment at our defensive midfield spot in our 4-3-3. Not so many high attributes, but a bunch of 14 and 15s everywhere. Couple more years of development and I reckon he'll be one of the better midfielders in the world. Steve Court (SC) - The first player that I think will be genuinely World Class for us and our other Wonderkid at the club. We've finally got our reputation to a point where these guys don't want minimum fee clauses, so Court is the first we've had being able to develop. A bit like Collins, another couple of years and I think he'll be a bit of a physical beast as well as better mentally. Last 5 Years: 2068/69 Season Report Club: Tranent FC (Scotland) League: Scottish Premiership League: Another league win - we were actually quite far ahead but we were resting quite a lot in the run up to the end of the season. Cups: We retain the Scottish Cup (after a couple of scares!) but lose in the League Cup Final to St Johnstone. Europe: We come up 1 short again! We got to this stage a couple of years ago before collapsing to Man City, but this time? It was actually an incredibly boring final with not much to say: 1 shot on target, which was a penalty. Absolutely gutting. We're getting so so close to finishing this off and we've at least still got a decent window with our best players in their early to mid 20s. We'll get there, but these final losses hurt! Youth Intake: A couple of decent potentials in there, but nobody near starting or in the first team. We got lucky with Connor Grant a few years ago, but I doubt we'll get there again. Other Business: Don't usually comment on goals/assists from a season, but we actually had a very down season from Steve Court. Although our front 5 (I play a 4-3-3 with 2 central midfielders, 2 wingers and a striker) combined for this: That 6.96 average rating kind of sticking out a bit there! Popular Post glennuk
Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg - Season 30 - Mid Season Review Champions League - WINNERS - CHALLENGE COMPLETED!!!!! After getting to last years final and being outclassed, we got back to the final and completely deserved the win against another team from Saudi Arabia in Al-Ittihad 1st Leg In the 1st we dominated. I thought everything may come crashing down when our keeper Naoto Sakai (YP23A) went down with an injury just before half time. Our replacement is ALOT worse and got a 5.9 in the last cup match I started him! However we barely gave them a sniff at goal and finished with a deserved 2-0 victory with goals from both of my wingers. 2nd Leg In the 2nd leg it was a much more tense affair. We were already nervous as Naoto Sakai (YP23A) had broken his hand in the last game, so we had our sub keeper playing the full 90. Things started with a scare as the first highlight was a goal for Al-Ittihad. However our chances went up massively when the second half started and then they got a man sent off for a vicious tackle. A late goal by Masayosha Takahashi (YP23F) settled our nerves and then Takayuki Ohara (YP25B) put the icing on the cake with a finish to not only win the Champions league, but to win both legs! Champions League - How we got to the final Funnily enough this year we were much less dominant in the knockout rounds of the Champions league, with TWO of our games being decided in our favor due to the Away goals rule. The Sapporo game was actually relatively comfortable, until they scored two goals in the last 9 minutes, luckily both of those goals were home goals! Ulsan seemed to always come up against us, but again the away goals rule saved our skin. After a 1-1 draw at home, we went away and drew 2-2 the first goal for Ulsan being scored by one of the Youth Players we sold a good 7-8 years ago. Champions League Dream Team!!! In my mind we should have all eleven players in the dream team, but thankful that 7 of our starting 11 were named in the Dream Team. The Final Squad The final team that took us over the line. Pretty good squad depth overall with some VERY strong strikers and some amazing youngsters waiting to burst into the first team. A couple of my KEY Players! We have a full team I am very proud of but a few key players that I wanted to highlight are: Naoto Sakai (YP23A) - Our Goalie who is just solid. Once we lost our first choice to Ajax, Naoto then stepped in and performed admirably. He has not got the best attributes but is solid overall and is consistently good. Haruhiko Ninomiya (YP14K) - He is one of our oldest starters and has been a great left back ever since he has got into the team. I like having one full back more attacking and overlapping and even though he does not ALWAYS start anymore, when he does he plays fantastically and is our most played LB this year. Hiroshi Yamada (YP21A) - An amazing little winger who consistently performs well, he gets plenty of assists and despite his unambitious personality he has become one of the first names on the team sheet. Kyota Shimokawa (YP20A) - A brilliant midfielder who has recently got into the National team. As the playmaker in the heart of midfield everything goes through him. He pops up with important goals and rarely has a bad game. Masayosha Takahasi (YP23F) - Our most capped player with only 13 caps. He plays as my advanced forward next to a poacher. The poacher gets more goals, but arguably the advanced forward is more important. A great personality has seen him develop fantastically and while the poacher position is rotated, Masayosha plays every game he is available. Takayuki Ohara (YP25B) - still only 20, but seems like he has been with us forever. His goals per game speak for themselves. A great poacher who can do everything well. Finishing and Heading of 16 for a poacher is a dream. He doesn't always start and has had his head turned a bit by other clubs. He is however just superb, with all of the attributes that matter being 13+, he still has room to grow and I am tempted to play further in the save just to see how far he can go. Final Facilities After all this time I still only have Adequate youth facilities which I think did impact the length of the save, as I just struggled to get really good players for a while. Even some of my key players above are playing above their station so to speak. We also rarely fill our stadium despite now being rated as the best team in Japan by reputation! Doesn't help we are quite far away from any MAJOR cities. Edited April 16 by glennuk

Rainbowz
Douglas Athletic 2027-28 Season Review A narrow 2nd place for us this year! We ran the title race right until the last day, but sadly St Mary's thrashed Onchan and clinched the title. We were definitely strong this year, however we lost some key games, including having St Mary's do the double over us. We were close, but in the end didn't deserve the win, but we still play Europa Conference League football next season! Interestingly RYCOB won the FA Cup while being relegated, so they'll be joining us in the UECL while playing in the second division! In the FA Cup, we were knocked out early with a shock loss to midtable Laxey AFC. Transfers: Facilities/Coaching: Our first Youth Recruitment upgrade finally!! We also got another Junior Coaching upgrade through too, firmly cementing us as the top Manx academy. Hopefully this opens the door to more upgrades, especially in the YR department, which could lead to us producing some really good players, and maybe even think about a few wonderkids. Youth Intake: Another quality intake, however there's a clear quality drop off from previous years. I think the days of multiple 5* CA players are gone for a while, but we're still getting very solid players, including a few first-team ready ones. Here are the best from the intake: Intake Standouts: #1 | Liam Simmons (LW) The clear standout of this intake, Simmons is an insane winger in terms of quality for this league. His stats are well above his peers and he'll immediately go into the first team. However, his low dribbling is a bit weird for a winger, and Livingstone is killing it as a lone striker, so I'm not sure what to do with him. Still, for the short-term, his incredible stats will carry him and I'm sure he'll be a star #2 | Steve Miles (CM) Another strong midfielder! Miles gives me Treleaven vibes from our last intake, an incredibly technical midfielder who can do a lot in this division. He's not as solid mentally or physically, but he's still miles ahead of many midfielders in this division, and hopefully he can improve. #3 | Jordan Morrison (CAM) Morrison looks a great attacking midfielder for this level! He's excellently well-rounded with some decent standout stats, he doesn't really have a weakness. The only issue is our CM and CAM spots are pretty locked down in this team, so he may not get the gametime he deserves. His 1 determination is a massive bummer too, but if he can grow a bit, he'll definitely be a useful team player. Other: We have our first international! I was expecting Treleaven to get the first cap, but centre-back Daniel Curley was the first to be picked by the Isle of Man national team while Treleaven sat on the bench. I think he'll be the first of many, but getting our first full international this early is excellent stuff! Next Season's Thoughts: A 2nd place finish is definitely strong, and guarantees us European football next season, even if it's at the lowest level. We have to hope for a kind draw, so we can look to build our finances and grow our facilities. However, I'm wary St Mary's are becoming a threat domestically. This is their second league win in a row, and that Champions League money will start to stack. If we can't start dominating the league soon, there's a chance they could go professional and start dominating themselves. I'm definitely looking towards the title next season, but time will tell if we have the quality.

Popular Post libbyshuss
Belgium - Lyra Lierse - 2054/55 Pro Jupiler League - 3rd For the last 10-12 season the class of 2039 has been the cornerstone of the side. But with them all (Laurent Dumont 39A, Beau Bodson 39B, Nicaola Giovenco 39C, Eloi Desmet 39E) being 31/32 I thought this was the perfect season to start giving some more game time to my promosing youth players. Well, that plan backfired! All 4 of them complained about losing game time, half the squad agreed with them, half against them, and it was a real struggle with morale. Not helped by the fact the kids did well when they played, and the Class of 39 were still starting way more games than not! We also struggled after our 14-0 humiliation against Liverpool so in the end it was quite an achievement to finish 3rd! Croky Cup - Runner Up again.... ah, who cares? stupid cups, i just played the kids. and the elders got really cross! Champions League - Knockout playoff round First game of the league stage was great, a 6-4 home win and Man UTD. But the second game was a humilating disaster that took us a long time to get over. 14-0 away to Liverpool shows just how far away we are from really challenging. We needed to win the last two league stage games to qualify, which we did, but then we Real Madrid in the knockout round. We did ok tbf, but not quite good enough in the end and they knocked us out. Wonderkids I like the look of this fella. I might try him up front next season just to see how good he can be. He's on an 8 year contract so Madrid can be interested all they like, they ain't getting him! Youth My best preview and intake for a long time, maybe since 2039. At least two are going straight into the first team squad for next season and are gonna get game time. Very excited for this lot! The top two players look really good, especially Schlabertz. I'll be shocked if he isn't a future wonderkid. I mean, look at him! And Masson isn't too bad either, just a shame about the personality. I hate fickle people. Career So next season is going to be a transition season i think, as I'm determined to push ahead with my youth first policy, Class of '39 be damned. They had their chance! and they blew it! 14-0 away at Liverpool!
Koetzer
Livorno | Season 2031/32 | Serie C/B A drop from the last season, only 5th place far away from leaders. Somehow we defeated Juventus reserves in playoffs (their squad is even stronger than Atalanta U23 which we faced last year), but this form didn’t last long. Coppa Serie C – saved the game on the last minutes, but lost in a shootout again. Squad stats Rossini improved his own goalscoring record, but Aziri was nowhere near last season’s form and Amelio didn’t play since November with ACL injury (though Adamo provided a good replacement for him). Conte and Gorlero became a starting pair of center-backs with another youngster Battochio playing ahead of them. Transfers Youth intake (preview) Pedaggi *32a | Renai *32b | Abagnale *32c | Leporatti *32d One more intake with mostly defensive players at its top. The debt is over a million now, I hope we’ll get promotion (or a good takeover) before being forced to sell leaders. Good news – we had our first full international, 16-year old defender Francini made his debut for San Marino (not sure if he ever plays for our first team though ).

SkiIIs
Season 10 - Macclesfield FC - League 2 Our first season in League 2 and surprisingly we werent the favourites to automatically go down. From experience, I know the rise from VNL to League 1 or Championship can occur quite quickly and that's what I was quietly hoping for. After a decent start the season we became quite mediocre in the middle of the season and were sitting midtable. We hit some for towards the end of the season and for a minute were in with a shout for the automatic promotion spots but a draw and a loss in the last two games of the season meant that we finished 6th. Into a 2 legged play off against Colchester with the first game at home. We dominated but didnt really reflect it on the scoreboard only winning 2 - 1 on the night with a disallowed goal in the 78th minute to give us a deserved two goal cushion for the away leg. The away leg was the complete opposite, they scored early and then again late in the 80th minute to get the advantage. We went all guns blazing and forced the tie into extra time thanks to a 92nd minute goal from Cox 27C. In extra time we couldnt handle them and they eventually scored to go through to the final where they lost to Wimbledon 1 - 0. At the start of the season we had a planned stadium expansion approved to get around an additional 1000 capacity however that was unfortunately scrapped cos we couldnt get our council permits. This is really hampering us cos now that we are Youth Level 2, we are for the first time haemorrhaging money. So additional improvements will be few and far between now. It doesnt help that our training facilities were downgraded at the end of the season either! I did though get approval to be fully licensed which will finish next season. Spoiler Youth Preview Average at best with only 1 A in defence Youth Intake Anyone seen my Elite defender? Anyone? Im giving this HOYD one more final chance to deliver something next season! Only one player worth mentioning and I think i got a decent striker out of this intake in Kyle Wood 34A. He should develop along nicely and at 15 has a lot of time on his side with decent physicals and a couple important technicals for an advanced forward Edited April 17 by SkiIIs
Mahzun_Savas
I have started again, this time in Spain with Salamanca C.F. U.D.S. The squad poses difficulty as there is only one, not particularly good CB in the squad and the only RB is a 16 year old who shows little promise. There is however plenty of players who can play LB and 8 strikers in the squad. Fortunately one of the LBs can sort of play CB. Fun times ahead.
Mahzun_Savas
Well that did not last long, it turns out not having any quality in defence makes it rather hard so I have been sacked. Now to find another club.

Popular Post XaW
XaW - Marine FC - Season 2027/28 (Season 4) - Sky Bet League Two Squad | Transfers | Finances We are professional, and most of the players I want to keep has signed new contracts, as well as a new stadium that's going to be finished during the summer. Things are looking good for the club, and we are now currently the 4th biggest club in Merseyside, after Liverpool, Everton, and Tranmere. So we are aiming at 3rd soon, as Tranmere just got relegated from League One. This season went excellently for us, as we finished in a very strong 10th place. A main issue is that we are conceding a lot of goals, but the reason is that we've been lacking in talented central defenders, so we've used players from the original squad too much for this level. We are slowly transitioning over now, though, but we still need more talent there. For the next season, I think I'd be happy for more of the same. We need more quality, and the intakes are still quite good, so for now, we just need time and development to happen. It's also interesting to note that Rochdale, who got promoted alongside us last season by winning the playoff in the Vanarama National, also got promoted again this season by winning the playoff. So they did a back-to-back promotion! Well done, Rochdale! FA Cup: We beat Chesterfield before we lost to Peterborough in the 2nd round. Carabao Cup: We lost to Oxford United in the 1st round. EFL Trophy: We got a group with Manchester City u21s, Rochdale, and Burton Albion. We finished a decent 3rd and got knocked out. Best players from the academy: Rakeem Hughes-Mason 26e - A great season for us leading the line and scoring a lot. Also scored in every one of his 3 caps for Antigua & Barbuda. Raphael Hughes 26b - He is now a first team regular in the midfield, and also likes to pop up with some goals. Kevin Gallagher 27a - A bit up and down, but with double digits in both goals and assists from out wide, I can't complain much. New club records: Most league apps - Sol Solomon - 227 apps Most league goals - Manassé Mampala - 95 goals Fastest goal - Freddie Sass - 1 minute, 4 seconds No new upgrades accepted this season, but got a new youth category! U18s They moved to the U18 Youth Alliance League North-West this season and finished in a strong 4th place. FA Youth Cup: They beat Atherton Colleries and Wigan before they lost to West Brom in the 3rd round. U18 Youth Alliance Cup: They drew Blackpool, Salford, Guiseley, and Bradford City in the group stage and finished 1st to qualify for the knockout rounds. There they beat Stockport in the quarter final before they lost to Rochdale in the semi final. The length of the seasons is an obstacle for me but i want an England save so it is something for me to think about. I play most matches, but on key highlights, unless we are in a rut and need us to win or if it's important cup matches. If the matches at the end of the season are dead rubber, I'll IR them unless I want to give the youth players a chance or two. The number of matches is a slog at times, but there usually are cup matches, the preview, or the intake itself not far off. Still, I do miss leagues with fewer games in a season at times.

SkiIIs
Season 11 - Macclesfield FC - League 2 After getting a taste of play offs last year, I was hoping to push on and challenge for the auto promotion spots. Thats exactly how the season played out with us sitting in either 3rd or 4th position for the majority of the season. We did hit top of the table at the midway point but we were never really that consistent to challenge for the title. We also were relatively successful in the cup competitions apart from the League Cup which we were knocked out against Watford from the Championship away from home in our first game. In the FA Cup we made it to the 3rd round where we got a premiership team away in Leeds, we battled hard but two second half goals was enough for Leeds to win. In the EFL Trophy we made it all the way to the semi final knocking out several League 1 teams along the way. I was playing heavily rotated squads for this comp but we kept on winning. The Semi Final was a real turning point of the season for us. Leading up to the EFL Semi Final it felt like we lost focus on the league with form of 3 losses and 2 draws mostly against teams from the bottom which was super frustrating. But after the semi which was lost to Stockport from League 1, we then won the remaining 7 games to pip above Notts County for 3rd spot. Nothing overly exciting off the field, I did get a couple of interview opportunities in Preston and Everton. After seasons completion, the board did announce they are going to explore options to build a stadium so will wait and see what they come back with but our tiny 5,907 capacity is just too small for us. Finances have been tough even from the windfall from our Cup adventures. We also had another international player, this time for Jamaica! Spoiler Youth Preview Ive seriously had enough of this HOYD, another poor preview. Youth Intake Will not be renewing this guy's contract which ends this year. Our last few intakes has really hampered the squad. Kyle Wood 34A is the best of a bad bunch but could potentially be a good player for us in the future, perhaps on the left wing Edited April 19 by SkiIIs

3rik
How are you guys that are a couple season in doing with your tactics? Are you trying to shape your youth players in to a existing and successfull(?) tactic or do you switch tactic every other season to better fit your new better players coming up? I've always struggle to decide if I want to stay with a successful tactic when a really good youth player breaks in to the first team and does not properly fit in immediately. Or i'm trying to shape a youth player to early and do not let them develop their strenghts properly because it does not fit my senior team tactic. Or i'm trying to shape a youth player to early and do not let them develop their strenghts properly because it does not fit my senior team tactic. I usually retrain players, and I do it alot. As I've written before, I have a spreadsheet that shows how well their abilities fit into different roles based. This overview I can put into roles and give it based on roles. This allows me to see how far off a "perfect" player they are. And if they are very high in a certain role, then I will look at it and perhaps retrain. Of course, I can't trust this outright, as players with high physicals will rate high in all roles that require many of the physical attributes, but it can give me some hints where to look.
