Popular Post JLAB
Motor Lublin - Season 1 - Winter Break One of the first things I did was bring in a Head of Youth Development, after discovering that I didn't have one at the club, and Jarosław Wosz was the best option at the time. This tells you a lot about how difficult I was finding it to even bring in new staff members. He's on a 2-year deal, so I will be hoping that he can bring in some good youth talent in his new role at the club. So being able to bring in Paweł Pęczak as a coach was a bit of a shock. He's honestly the perfect coach and something I'd even transfer over to be a head of youth development if I was able to do so. He's the perfect coach right now, so losing someone for the other role would not be ideal. Going into the first season of the save was something that I must admit, I was a little bit nervous about. I was fearing that it would be one of major struggle, so when we started the season with 6 wins and 2 draws in the first 8 games of the season, I couldn't have been happier. Naturally we've had moments during the season where our form has dipped, but we've never gone more than 3 league games without a win, which as far as I am concerned is the best thing about the season so far. As things stands, we are currently in 2nd place and in the automatic promotion zone on results between teams. While Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała have a 5-point gap to us and Ruch Chorzów, it's not one that you can truly feel comfortable with when there are still 14 matches to go. I'm still thinking that we could drop into the bottom half of the table as a result of the 8-point gap to Chojniczanka Chojnice who are in 13th place. The fight to get into the playoffs and promotion fight is incredibly competitive and I am enjoying the challenge of it. What I am not enjoying so much is the youth intake preview, which looks rather bleak if I have to be honest with you. I don't think I've ever seen one look as bland as this, even if I am apparently meant to expect a good centre-back and good full-back, two areas that probably doesn't need that much strengthening if I am to be completely honest with you. If it turns out to be a good intake, then I will be much happier than am I now. I am expecting nothing but disappointment right now. Popular Post CardiffDragon
Season 2025 Review After the nail-biting end to the previous season this one was quite timid by comparision, we finished 8th in the league and were in a much better position at the split and then..... yes i know it is only the relegation side of the league but even so..... my forwards finally got their act together and started scoring at will almost. Boes well for next season, the only thing to concern me is that no academy players are close to breaking into the first team yet and my reserve team is only playing friendlies so the jump from U20 to first team is still very big. as for youth intake it looked good and turned out ok but once again the personalities, especially in most of the more promising players are not brilliant forgot to do a summary last time of where the club is but we are doing OK financially and thought increasing the youth facilities and junior coaching was good for a season and then the day after the end of the season..... bitter pill to swallow with the boards expectations for next season finally changed from "dont finish last" to establish yourself in the league it looks like things are finally on the up ( or have i just tempted fate.
The_Gato_In_Goal
I guess two years in the amateur fourth tier is enough to catch the eyes of top tier sides. Unfortunately the notoriety is a two-way-street, it means our players increase their reputation and can be snapped up on professional contracts, Hopefully we can make it up this year before we lose anyone else.

Popular Post WhiteCat33
AS Rupensia Lusitanos Fiels Luxembourg Division 3 (5th Tier) About: I have found a gem (I think) for a micro nation YAC and by complete accident. As I promised, after my failure with the Tier 3 I loaded up the Tier 5 and simed a season. After the first year ASRL Fels was dead-last in Division 3, so as the 'worst' team in Luxembourg, they are my candidate for glory! Spoiler What is really cool is the fact that Larochette is the most Portuguese town in Luxembourg! In 2014 there was an attempted referendum to merge it with 2 neighboring towns which failed spectacularly. "What made this local referendum a national political case was that Larochette (or the "Fiels") is known as the most Portuguese village in Luxembourg: 960 of its inhabitants (or 44 percent of the population) are of Portuguese nationality, ahead of Luxembourgers who are at 883 (41 percent). In Fischbach and Nommern, Luxembourgers make up 72 percent respectively 76 percent of the population." (Read More Here!) Club: Yes, they have a brand new 4,594 Capacity stadium that they moved into just at the end of the first season. I checked and it wasn't glitched, they got a 720k Grant from the government to build the stadium so we have plenty of room for "big" cup matches, and don't have a debt load to service. Perfect, because we are amateur! Spoiler As an Amateur club the facilities are all at the minimum, but it does start with Youth Intakes (so I'm not pulling a crazy Andoran challenge here) Spoiler Coach: I forgot to screenshot my coach, but its the same guy I used for the T3 attempt at Luxembourg my Guiseley English Captain Luke Farrell Squad: The dual national was reflected in my starting squad that was almost entirely Year 00 Intake players. While they had awful personalities, I was actually gifted a full 10 field players and 2 GKs that fit just fine into my Long Ball 4-4-2: Supporters: Season 1 2023 - 2024 With only a 22 game season and nothing to do between matches things flew by for year 1. Transfers: I took over the club on 6/24 so Jan Jacobs was brought in before I arrived. I canceled the other pending deals and all our players were on youth contracts so none got taken during the year. Luxembourg Cup: We won a game! Played a Division 2 side in our first competitive match (after beating up on bogus formation U21 greys to build morale & fitness). Lost the second against a Division 1 (Tier 3) club in a 4-3 thriller, which to me was a great start Spoiler Division 3: 3rd of 12, PROMOTION! Top 4 teams are auto-promoted out of the bottom league so no playoffs. The other teams picked up a mix of youth and older players, but I guess my 11 were one of the better amateur sides. Coaches: It may come as a surprise but there don't seem to be any Luxembourg coaches who want to work at the worst club in the country. I put out adverts for everything and set the Chairmen to find coaches and it took till February before he found us our first coach to run our U21 Squad. His qualifications: he is a human Youth Intake: So yes, Mr Casual was in charge of my youth intake, but at least he showed up so late he didn't find the players in December. Because of this we actually got what I'd consider a good start personality-wise for the club Professional Players: 3rd GK now, and my current is the captain but this guy will be better considering he’s 6’5 and has good personality Spoiler Down for a tall professional CB Spoiler Resolute FB is good as I’m playing a CB out wide right now Spoiler As you can tell everybody is dual national which is amazing! We even are going to get Cape Verde players as well (IRL a recent mayor of the town is from Cape Verde). This will be neat. Right now I'm not tracking the cities of birth as I think that will be insane for this save across 3 distinct countries. Coaching Badges: Even though we have no money the board agreed to 2 courses, the second I'm currently taking: Spoiler Suporters: Spoiler Thoughts: Luxembourg is like a pallet cleanser to the slog of English National League. Right now it costs us more money to put on a game than we make in tickets so we are slowly losing money, but everyone is amateur so it shouldn't be an issue. I haven't played as a full amateur club in a while so will be interesting to track all my stolen players as we build ourselves up. Hopefully I can find a HOYD this summer, but at the very least I'll be using a different coach for the next intake and be looking to move on Mr Casual. EDIT: For @The7Striker I'll also make sure to include the Nation part of the spreadsheet every year (rather than sporadically). No change Y1 for the nation, but we're up to 80 of 102 teams in Luxembourg! Edited November 10, 2022 by WhiteCat33

What league's are the best etc Think about where you want your challenge to be, and which tier of nation you want to manage in. Top leagues, mid-level or low/micro nation. Do you enjoy long seasons working your way slowly up the ladder into the richest league on the planet, then go to England. If you want a shorter climb to the top-flight Germany sets you up with pretty strong set-ups in the 3rd Bundesliga while still having the monsters to slay at the top when you get there. Portugual has been popular for many as a mid-level domestic league with great intakes. Midlevel I played a fun save in Slovenia last cycle bagging two Euro Cup trophies, and other countries in the region like Slovakia & Serbia can be great saves. Be warned though most have a minimum age of 17 for registration so the first 2 years will be really hard as you won't be able to play your intake players. Isreal is another option. Then the micro which is what I enjoy more. For me isn't so much about actually getting on the leaderboard, I like the impossible tasks in tiny countries to get my team competitive on the continental level and bring their natoinal teams out of obscurity. Lots of fun stories to be had. Last year I played over 30+ Seasons in St Vincent (Caribbean) and Malta as some of the tiniest nations through downloaded databases. And you can see I just started Luxembourg, while I also have an England save I'll switch between. EDIT: I should mention DON'T play in Belgium or Scotland. The first has the worst finances in the game, and is not suitable for a first attempt and Scotland has major youth bugs. Denmark had contract issues last year (but may be fixed now?) and France has weird stadium hopping bugs for promoted sides. Ice029
First season with the Yellow-Green boys ended exactly as expected: no chance of promotion of course, but we won the battle for relegation as expected. Popular Post jepze
Jepze - Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur - Season 2024 Squad | Transfers | Finances Second season is done, and what a season. In the start of the transferwindow, we sold our best player, and i tried all i could to don't sell him, but the board said, taht the club could get use of the 500.000 DKK, and then he was gone. But we could play without him, and we got an amazing season. Up to the last day of the season, we couldn't get to the first place, but in the last game, our rivals in Fram Reykjavik bottled it, and we got the first place. In the other way, we only got 2 losses and only have 3 points down to the 4th place, so it was a battle, and we won it. Next season we'll play both UEFA Conference League, because of win in the cup, and we'll play in the best league in Iceland. Our youth players isn't good enough to play regulary on the first team, but hopefully we can get some money in the bank and upgrade our youth income. Spoiler Mjólkurbikarinn is the primary cup in Iceland, we got all the way to the final and won against the 3rd place in the best league, Íþróttabandalag Akraness, 5-2 in the final, and we can play our first games in Europe next season (I hope, but don't know if it's in the end of next season in the season 2025/26). Deildabikar is the other cup we played in, and otherwise than the main cup, we couldn't get out of the group stage, but we did a lot better than last year. Now to the interesting thing. Daddy
2024/25 Midseason Review: Not too surprising as just getting promoted was a bit of a shock. It's close enough at the bottom where it's not a forgone conclusion we go back down. The schedule calms down a bit, and hopefully we avoid some of the misfortunes we had schedule wise where we'd face a top team, a cup match, then a midtable, and then finally the shattered squad would lose to a bottom table team. The schedule definitely cost us a few points, but overall we're just fairly overmatched. An old squad getting older. I keep tinkering with tactics, possibly too much, with the hopes of finding something to stem the bleeding and get us on tract to finish at least 20th. Intake Preview: Another super strong preview. Based on the thin and aging squad the potentials here could be legit and not the fantastic preview with meh players. Odds are due to facilities the vast majority will come in a ways off from first team caliber with maybe one or two being capable to see action right away.

And using the .lnc file method now my eyes have been awakened to it My first image is making fun of myself, because year after year, if/when I run into issues I usually revert to a strikerless setup to try and consolidate. I want to try nicknaming. Can you take a screenshot of your lnc file, just so I know how formatting is like.
Popular Post MacronQLF
Joining the challenge too ! Wasn't sure about what i was doing when i choose mexico But it's going well ! VERY WELL , we won the closing stage ( i have no idea what this mean because we will play the opening stage after but ok ) after the playoffs ! Result: Spoiler The team: Spoiler the preview of the young intake : Spoiler The funny part about this save is that my tallest player except goalkeeper is 1.78 m tall so it's a tactical nightmare sometimes due to the fact that we concede nearly all of the goals on set pieces, let's hope we can get the team in good places in the opening stage ! Honestly it is by far the best start i had since i tryed this challenge, mexico feels like a easier country because teams have a very similar players level, good facilities and proper teams, the only downside is they didn't add a u20 championship in 2nd division so it's really hard to young players to get playtime

I have a squad view with these two columns that I use when the youth candidates come in (this is just taken now with my senior squad for screenshot purposes): I then do a Print Screen via the FM menu and save as a Web Page. I then open that in Chrome (my default browser) copy and paste that into my Text file (which is saved as the .lnc file) and format. Barnsley
has anyone got a link or template for these fancy spreadsheets people are using! brilliant! Came 13th in the Vanarama North with FC United 4th season in charge, not sure how to get any higher! was a point off the playoffs after 30 games but had a 7 game losing streak couldn't break it and complete derailed the push. Faulted off at the end and couldn't turn it round. still media prediction was 22nd - and the next 4-5 years of the boards plan is to continue to attempt to avoid relegation so no real requirements, just need to focus on trying to some how get professional status and continuous improvement on the facilities. at some point i guess the products i produce over a few year span will then be enough to take me up a couple of levels! (I Hope!)

I know Italy is one are there any others? Switzerland I think as well as my team, FC Chiasso, are professional from the get go. Holland I believe was the same but I think there was something with no relegation from keuken kampioen for the first 5 years? I’d imagine most nations with 2 playable tiers the 2nd tier clubs and therefore newly promoted clubs that are eligible for the challenge are likely to be professional. Daddy
A surprise promotion and then I don't get to finish the season. Seems a quick trigger fringer. yeah I knew it was coming when the team had a draw in a friendly to a team playing in whatever the "Combined Counties D1" division is. Taking a break from England. I'd like to try somewhere in Africa since I've never played there. I don't know enough about databases and what qualifies for the challenge. Depending on how the night goes I'll either look into that or go somewhere already in game. For now, off to RimWorld for some war crimes.
Popular Post SkiIIs
Season 1 2023/24 - Tampico Madero - Mexico Expansion League I chose this team as they had a large following and cash in the bank, started with 3.5m balance which we were able to use to improve facilities and upgrade coaching badges. The team was pretty solid with a couple of stars but we are very light in central midfield meaning i started with a 4-2-2-2 formation as we had no DM's. I think this really shocked the team as even though we would be the better team for most games, we just couldnt notch the wins and concede quite regularly. In the opening stage we ended up finishing mid table after a really slow start, we were then knocked out in the first game of the prelim round. In the closing stage we were better as the team were getting used to how I want them to play and we finished 5th, We won the first game of prelim which put us in the quarters, we unfortunately drew the team that came first in the closing stage Venados. First leg at home we won 2 - 0 in a dominate performance. We then went 1 - 0 ahead away but then bottled it and copped 3 early in the second half. To my despair the league standings are the differentiator if the legs are tied! Upgrades: Spoiler Intake was ok, nothing really exciting me to be honest. I signed them all as we literally had no players in the u20 squad, Luna could become decent at left back Come end of the year we got a huge cash boost from sponsorships, 1.3m for this leve is nuts! We also got 870k of 'other income' at the same time to put the balance back to 2.8m which ill look to spend next year. We were also given the option of starting our own B team which i instinctively approved. @darren1983and @XaWi assume this is ok to move players in and out of the B team? I havent done so thus far in season 2 but want the ok before I do, cheers
